    Beautiful Unique Venue!

The BRIT was the perfect venue for our wedding. Lydia was great and helped every step of the way. They provided a clean, beautiful and accommodating space for our day. The unique design of the building and outdoor spaces made for an elegant location for our ceremony and reception!

Loved every moment here on my wedding day! My wedding was simple and beautiful. Courtney was so sweet and helpful! Everyone was so nice and they answered every question I had.

My husband and I recently had our wedding reception at the BRIT. It was one of the best decisions we made in the wedding planning process. The staff, both Katherine and Courtney, were amazingly kind, thorough, and patient as I asked approximately ten million questions.

One of the things I appreciated most was how helpful they were. About a month before the wedding, the house I was supposed to stay at, and where we would have taken pictures in the morning if it rained, fell through. I asked the BRIT if we could use the atrium as a rain plan and they were very accommodating, which was great, because it rained. We had a really nice, dry, space to take pictures and we ended up getting a really nice first look. Courtney was also very helpful when our caterer needed twice as many tables as they said they would the week before.

We had 160 people at our wedding. It was an afternoon wedding and didn't have a formal meal service so we did not have tables for everyone, but we probably could have made it work if we had needed to. Courtney was really helpful as we worked on the floor plan and I was very happy with how everything turned out. The space was also beautiful, and the natural light was great. We were able to see the outside without having to experience the outside, which was fortunate given the weather.

All around it was a great experience and it was an extra bonus to my husband and I that our wedding could contribute science and education in such a cool way.

The Fort Worth Botanic Gardens is an excellent location for those on a budget. Our ceremony was in the Fuller Garden and was the perfect location for our intimate garden wedding and made for beautiful photos! Highly recommend!

I am so glad that we decided to host our wedding at the BRIT! The prairie flowers were absolutely gorgeous for our early April outdoor/indoor wedding. We wanted our wedding to be simple, beautiful and organic and that is exactly what we got. I think that the BRIT is perfectly suited for daytime events (we had a brunch themed wedding) because the light that pours into the main lobby is absolutely gorgeous. Also, we were so happy that we found a venue that could execute our vision, be near downtown and not break the bank! Courtney and Katherine were wonderful to work with, very quick with responses, and make me feel at ease.

At first I was a bit concerned about some seemingly constricting rules, but then after making special inquiries, and seeing what we could do to make our event exact the way we wanted it, I found that we could do what we needed and they were very flexible. It was a wonderful venue, the beautiful gardens as the backdrop for my daughter's wedding, with the reception just a short walk away from the ceremony. All in one place, it turned out to be a fabulous time, with professional flexible people providing excellent customer service. Thank you for helping us make this a very memorable experience, with only good memories, no bad ones!

I have to say that picking a garden to have my wedding in June didn't seem smart to most people. But this garden was the best! Behind us we had a Coi pond and water fall. The flowers were beautiful. And the staff were great too. I felt like a queen when I was there! I would recommend this location to anyone who wants romance and nature.

This is a hidden gem. Such a lovely, spacious setting for a wedding. Julie worked with us so professionally, to make a beautiful wedding for our daughter. The huge glass wall that the bridal couple had as a backdrop was amazing, as well as the large amount of space for the dinner, dancing, room for the bridesmaids, grooms room, upstairs terrace for cocktails. Really, perfect. So many of our guests commented on the lovely, unique facility. Casey and Sampson were also very helpful, as the facility attendants for the evening. Thanks, BRIT, for a beautiful wedding.

We chose the Fuller Garden at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens. The garden features a large stone gazebo-type structure with a small fountain inside. It is surrounded by a small pond/waterfall and tons of flowers. We had about 30 guests, which were easily accomadated by the size of the garden. We shared the evening with the Ft. Worth symphony orchestra, who held the start of the concert until after our ceremony--which we found very considerate (and impressive!). The garden was beautiful, with additional flower baskets hanging from the gazebo that had not previously been there when we first viewed the garden. Perhaps they were added just for the wedding?
We reserved a small meeting room for our reception. Everything was clean and well presented.
We were very satisfied with our experience at the Fort Worth Botanical Garden and would highly recommend the location.

The BRIT was beautiful, it had wildflowers growing in the front & in the back so the whole space already looked amazing. We had a large number of guests, and they were willing to let us play with the layout. Having two food trucks made our wedding so memorable to our guests, and the BRIT made it easy for the trucks to get in and out. Only downside was we had to remove all the trash from the site immediately following the wedding, and we were not able to use the loading dock for rental pickup as we were promised initially. Other than that, they were extremely flexible, affordable, and the venue was beautiful.

The gardens were a great site for us. Even though it was quite hot, the setting was beautiful just liked I dreamed. The value for the money is great too. We held our reception in Redbud hall, which worked out wonderfully for us. I loved the convenience of not having to leave the ceremony site for the reception. I would recommend them and use them again if I ever had a need for it.

Since I was married outside in the Fuller Garden, I did not have any involvement with the staff, which was fine. The people I spoke with during booking were very nice and were more than happy to tour the garden with me and work out any details. The downside of getting married outside is that no one is allowed to stand on the grass, and you're only allowed to use 10 chairs (I think) and they have to stay on the walkways, and you have to provide them. That means everyone has to stand, and in places they have to crowd together so no one is on the grass.

My husband and I had our wedding and reception at these gardens. We had our ceremony in the Fuller gardens. It was only 300 dollars for the ceremony and that includes the bridal room. For such a beautiful outdoor venue, that's an AMAZING deal. It was gorgeous!
The reception was great. The staff are really willing to help with anything that they can. They're very nice. My only critique is that you have to go through a hassle if you want to serve any beer or liquor at your reception. I guess that they don't want people getting too drunk which is a legitimate concern, but at a wedding reception, people drink! Also, you're not permitted to serve red wine. I guess someone stained one of their floors once. That didn't bother me too much, but I could see it bothering someone else. We did get the special permission for the beer, and we only served beer and white wine.
Those are just small issues. My reception turned out great! I cried at my reception because it was so perfect.

I had both my wedding and reception at the Fort Worth Botanical Garden. I really hate to mark them down because in the last month before my wedding I worked with the customer service supervisor Diana and she was absolutely wonderful to work with. Even on our wedding day it was pouring down rain and we had to be moved inside she really worked with us and the wedding turned out to be better than I could imagine. The only reason I marked them down was specifically due to one person. I first booked my wedding there I was working with a guy that was really rude and inconsiderate. When we called to ask questions about what type of chair would be in the garden for the wedding to see about getting covers he said "It's just a chair." Then I wanted to add time to the beginning and end of my reception and called him so he could do my credit card over the phone and he told me that he wouldn't do it (even though they did it before) and I would have to come in so he can change the contract. When I asked if I could do that on Saturday (since I booked my wedding on a Saturday and had come in to pay for items multiple times on a Saturday with no issue) he said no because he is only there Mon - Fri 9-5. I had to get my husband to go and do this during his lunch. Come to find out he didn't even update the contract.
My only warning is really read the contract because there are alot of restrictions and watch for extra costs (chairs for the wedding in the garden cost $5 each). Overall it was still less expensive than most other locations I found.

Our wedding took place at the Japanese Gardens. The staff replied to emails promptly and the gardens were beautiful. Double check if you need to rent chairs because apparently it is only at the Botanical Gardens; the Japanese Gardens uses an outside vendor for that and it can add up. We were allowed to bring our own chairs for our musicians. The gardens are going through a remodeling process and some areas that were available previously; were blocked off but we managed to have a beautiful wedding nonetheless.

The Fort Worth Botanic Gardens are beautiful and the price is amazing. My only complaint is that the coordinator is not the friendliest person in the world.

My suggestion is to have a very good "Plan B" in case of rain. This venue does not provide good options in case of rain (please be VERY CLEAR as to where they tell you the alternative places are).

Very well priced for the space and the points of contact are helpful leading up to the big day. It was a bit challenging on the day of the wedding reception as I never saw anyone and had never received any information about how to adjust the lights. As a result, not many people wanted to get on the dance floor and people began to leave early. The photographer recommended ending the whole reception early so that our send off wouldn't be tiny. That was a tough pill to swallow of course but we did end about 45 min early unfortunately.

Location was beautiful. Keep in mind that you are in a public location. We had a school group show up the morning of our wedding and I had to walk behind the exhaust of three school busses in my wedding gown with my hair and make-up done. Unless you have book one of the larger venues, you cannot get the bride's room. The city took over the garden sometime over a month before our wedding. When we tried to call because we had to adjust one of our details, someone answered and said they would call back and never did. My fiancee at the time, now husband, left several messages. After finding a different email address that I had to find for myself, we finally had a reply. They did compensate our inconvenience by comping the few chairs we needed. And they were kind and professional in our dealings aside from the above. They also did offer a suggestion for a backup location in case of rain.

Had ceremony and we were really given liberty to do what we wanted but couldnt not put anything in the ground or hang anything. Rules were not exactly clear and not much was provided to chose from.

We basically had to create it all ourselves. Pictures of previous weddings/setups would be very helpful!!

I loved this place and it was everything I wanted it to be, including cheap. We had our wedding in the Japanese Garden, and it was gorgeous. We only paid $350 for two hours. It was worth it even though it was over 100 degrees. Notes to browsing brides: they don't close the park for you, so other people might be walking around awkwardly. Also, we were extremely limited to what we could bring in, and how many people could be invited. We only had 20 guests and brought in only fans for the heat. But that's the way we wanted it, so it was great.

    Beautiful gardens

The beauty of the gardens is a 5 star. Also, the willingness of Cora to help was a 5 star.
The greatest universal issue was the transportation from parking lot to ceremony to reception. They were able to help ensure the reception would go on by granting us an upgrade from an indoor venue to an outdoor one. However, originally upon reserving the understanding was that every guest would receive a lift on golf cart to and fro. Then, the week of they let me know it was only people with medical needs and volunteers. Well, a group of people with medical needs was denied as well as my volunteers. A gentleman in a wheelchair only was allowed to ride and not his family. My photographer was refused a ride.
My mother was dressing in the rented bridal room and the custodians rushed in which made her feel uncomfortable. Ultimately, the attitude of the supervisor (older woman) was the greatest concern. She called my photographer an ass and I blame her for the disorganized usage of the golf cart and miscommunication with the staff.

When I tried to set up a time to come in and make a deposit it took 2 weeks to even get me in, and then the date I wanted was booked because I hadn't made a deposit because it took them two weeks to get me in to make the deposit. I haven't even had my wedding yet and they are already driving me crazy!! I was told that I would have the bridal room when I booked my ceremony and reception and then a couple weeks later I wanted to know what time I had the bridal room for and they tell me I don't have it because they already booked other brides at the time I had book my ceremony and reception!! If they had told me that when I booked it I would have been okay but they told me at the booking that it was included with the deposit and now they say I didn't leave a deposit for the bridal room! They also leave the decision of how loud my reception music can be to whichever staff member is on duty that day! They have many rules and regulations! I'm not allowed to throw anything at the send off, nor am I allowed to have petals during the ceremony so there goes my flower girl. If your caterer isn't on their approved list you can't have them and the ones that are on their list are charged an extra 10% which increases the amount I have to pay my caterer. It is a beautiful place but they leave you almost no freedom!

BEAUTIFUL place (we had our ceremony and reception in the Japanese Gardens). You have to use their caterer, very restrictive on timing of event. If you really want the venue, be prepared to play by their rules.

This is purely a story of "you get what you pay for". The FWBG are very beautiful, indeed. However, these are free gardens for the public for the most part. Outside of the small fee you pay to see the Japanese Gardens, or any additional events they charge for over the seasons. My point is, the gardens aren't really revenue generating, therefore I am assuming that is why their event planning staff isn't exactly the most customer service oriented.
My wedding was the first weekend of April. I booked only my ceremony here in the Lower Rose Gardens, I wanted a garden ceremony but didn't like the reception rooms so held that offsite down the street at The Ashton Depot (which was WONDERFUL btw). My experience from the get-go with booking at FWBG was pretty sub-par. When you call, typically you get voice mail. You may or may not ever get a call back. Email however is returned fairly consistently, however not typically from the same person. So it gets very confusing with information.
Basically this is how it works. You do EVERYTHING yourself. They provide zero for the ceremony unless you pay for chairs at $5/each - they do at least set those up. You do NOT get a wedding planner/person. You get (or at least I did) 2 "officers" that will set up the chairs and then station themselves at opposite ends of your ceremony site to deter passers-by from wandering through your ceremony during it. Your "rehearsal" appointment is literally only an alert to patrolling officers not to ask you to leave during your rehearsal - there will be no one from the office staff to assist you through it or help tell you what to do/where to go. You pay for the bridal room, however there is no transportation to/from it to your ceremony site. Keep that in mind. Also, the gardens were all dug up around the Lower Rose Garden the week before my ceremony!! Really frustrating. Bottom line, if you choose the FWBG hire a wedding planner period.

The Fuller Garden was a beautiful venue. However, I recommend hiring a wedding coordinator because the garden office staff is not very well organized or professional. The building was locked and closed during our rehearsal an hour prior to the posted closing time. We were locked out as well as the public coming to visit that evening. We were not provided a wedding coordinator or the two attendants that were paid for in the contract. They did not set up the correct number of chairs and we had to get that corrected. We kept getting locked out of the brides room and no one could find a key. I recommend you hire a professional to tend to the details of the day and get everything you are asking for written into the contract because you'll get a different answer to the same question each time you call - it's almost like a sitcom. Because we were well organized, had everything written into the contract, and hired our own wedding coordinator, the ceremony ended up being lovely in spite of the incompetence.

Our overall experience when dealing with the gardens was terrible. They are EXTREMELY restrictive about what you can and can't do with decor and setting up. They make you pay extra for every little thing. You have to pay for a photography pass to take pictures early. You have to pay to get in early if you want to set up. You have to pay for an officer if your servimg alcohol. The time slots are very small and don't overlap in a convenient manner. Everytime you call, someone will tell you something different than the previous phone call. Jackie is extremely rude and very unhelpful. We had a huge mistake on the garden's end regarding our alcohol waiver form THE DAY OF THE WEDDING! We were told we wouldn't be able to serve alcohol because of their mistake. They had no clue about what had been completed on our paperwork and nobody could give us a straight answer. Overall it is a beautiful venue, but I wouldn't go back there again solely due to the staff amd how much of a headache the whole experience was. You have to do all of the follow up and make sure you cross your t's and dot your i's. Send all correspondence through email so you have proof of what they told you

FWBG is not the place to have your reception. Sure you can bend on not being able to throw flowers, but things get extreme. You can't hang anything from the ceilings or walls. No real candles are allowed. Nothing can be thrown or released at your send off. Security of their choice must be provided. Even if you have your own security arrangements. Rules and regulations were constantly changed. Whenever we had an idea everything was always shut down by the garden. You have to pay extra to set up for your wedding, when the garden staff is already in there setting up. If everything was clear from the beginning I would have paid only for the ceremony. There were plenty of nice hotels that are WAY less restricting.

My wife and I planned our long-distance wedding at the Botanic Gardens on October 24th. While the grounds are beautiful, our experience with the FWBG staff was almost entirely negative. We planned our wedding ten months in advance, and were shown a reception hall that we later found out is rented for an annual event - a large event that we found out about ON OUR OWN two months prior. All of our questions and concerns were met with dismissive comments, and we felt we were treated as annoyances. Our wedding planner had to visit the reception area herself in order to answer any of our questions, and it took over a week for anyone from the FWBG to respond to any of her phone calls, voicemails, or e-mails. Every time we had to speak with someone, we had to call at least three times in a row before someone answered the phone. Only one garden staff member ever returned ANY of our emails. The week of our wedding, we visited the gardens ourselves, were shown a few alternative locations in case of inclement weather, and were told that our first alternative site would be in a courtyard - not in the garden - next to the scenic administrative offices and vending machines. I understand that garden staff members are unable to control the weather, they are also employed to communicate with the public at large. However, our concerns were treated with dismissive comments that "nobody would notice" and we "wouldn't even remember afterward anyway."I'll also add that we had our reception on site, filled out our own reception layout and sent it to the gardens six weeks in advance - only to be met with an incorrect, scanned PDF copy of their official reception layout diagram which did not have any of our information on it. So we had to fill this out again and send it to an unresponsive group of employees again. On the day of our wedding, these same staff members came in and took photos of our reception layout, allowed gawkers from the Orchid sale.
