Most often the wedding couple receives complements on the music, the food, the dress, the cake, etc. Yes, we were fortunate to hear those too. In our case, in addition, throughout the evening we heard how fantastic our Officiate was....and he was! Charles Gilbride (yes, that's his last name...LOL) representing www.FortLauderdaleWeddings.com made our ceremony one to remember. From the time we first met with him we knew he would make our trip down the aisle fun and not stuffy. My wife and I strongly recommend you meet with him....you won't regret it.

My husband and I got married on 05/07/2017. We had planned on an afternoon wedding but the Ft. Lauderdale Air Show was going on that same weekend! Up to 300,000 people expected to show up for the air show. There was no way we could changed the date. Charles suggested a "Sunrise" wedding. We cannot thank him enough! He knew down to the second of when the sun would rise. Thank you Charles for waking up before the crack of dawn to watch the sunrise and marry Derik and I !!! I read the vows on the way down, tears went down my cheeks as I smiled at how much they captured exactly how I feel about my husband. The pictures were amazing and we got them back quicker than expected.

First I want to thank Charles and the photographer for such an amazing, epic and most loving day of my life for I will never forget.(I married my best friend) and Charles made my day marrying us! Truly hands down to such great service from Charles no matter what time it was he answered my calls and gave me full on attention. His prices were amazing and I can only image what the pictures will look like as his photographer really took her time and showed her true passion through the whole wedding capturing every moment. I highly recommend Charles service for anyone planning a wedding use this company. He made sure everything I dreamed for would happen and he did so. In general, I couldn't ask for more. He was very professional and helpful throughout the entire process. From the beginning, he helped us through the process of obtaining the marriage license and how it all works, he was very prompt when answering all my questions, and even emailed me a template of the entire ceremony prior to the wedding date for me to review. Our ceremony went very smooth, all thanks to his expertise. He definitely gave it that extra special touch. Above all, he was very sweet and made the entire process enjoyable. I would definitely recommend him for wedding ceremonies. He is truly remarkable.

My advice is that your special event cannot be in better hands than with Mr. Charles Gildbride. If you want a professional, helpful, friendly, and funny officiant for your wedding do not doubt to call him. I can't say enough about our November 19th wedding at Deer Creek. Charles was so cordial and so funny. He has the perfect balance between romance and comedic relief. My family loved everything about your ceremony, especially your, "The Art of Marriage" verse that they even asked for a copy. Charles was the best decision we made for our ceremony and we highly recommend him. Thank you so much for making our day special!

Charles did a wonderful job with great sincerity in his words as he spoke and made us feel very relaxed as though he wasn't a stranger we just met 15 min before the ceremony. He was very flexible and with terrific communication making the process very streamline and easy. Highly recommend!

Charles was wonderful from our first phone call to our thank you hug after the ceremony! Charles was extremely helpful with planning our wedding from out of state. My husband and I were planning our wedding from Virginia & knew nothing about Fort Lauderdale, so we asked Charles to pick a place for us with clear water and palm trees. Charles prepared a beautiful and perfect ceremony and picked the most amazing place to marry us, Vista Park Beach, where my husband and I were not only married in front of the beach and in between 2 palm trees, we were also married under a double rainbow!! We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. We are so happy Charles was our officiant and would absolutely recommend him to any couple who is looking for a beautiful beach wedding. Charles was awesome!!! We requested information and he replied promptly. He went over details of the ceremony with us and sent us what he was going to be saying at the ceremony. He also met with us at the hotel and went over more specific details as walking, standing, eternity candle ceremony, etc. the ceremony was beautiful!!! Sweet, funny, meaningful, romantic and just perfect for us!!! We and our families were really happy with how everything turned out!! He also sent us a scan of the license and filed the license at the county with no delay.

We also had his wife, Hua, as our photographer. She took her time and they stayed until we had all the pictures we wanted. They quickly sent us a DVD with all the pictures of the wedding and I have to say it's hard deciding which ones to include in our album because so many of them were beautiful!!!

We highly recommend them!!!

Charles was the best! We found Charles when we were researching wedding officiants for our destination wedding in Ft. Lauderdale. He took the time to speak with us about our vision for the wedding and really got to know us better before agreeing to work with us. The ceremony that Charles planned was absolutely perfect. Simple, non-traditional, intimate and forever memorable. We had planned to write our own vows but after reading what Charles put together we opted to go with his words. All of our guests commented on Charles' personality and obvious love for his craft. Thank you Charles for everything...you're the best!

I found Mr. Charles Gilibride on Wedding Wire. I planned my entire wedding from Arizona, which can be nerve wracking. It was a destination wedding in Fort Lauderdale. Our ceremony was held at the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort. Charles did an amazing job! He was well received, very articulate and made my husband and I feel at ease. Charles was professional, and very personable . I could not have asked for more. Everyone commented on what a beautiful ceremony Charles gave. Charles made the entire process painless. He helped us obtain our marriage license by mail. I would highly recommend Charles for your wedding. He did a fantastic job.

Rev. Charles Gilbride performed an unforgettable ceremony the day of our wedding! Throughout the entire process, he was incredibly helpful, sincere and available whenever we had questions. We met with him only twice prior to our wedding day, and the remainder through emails. Upon the initial meeting, we knew right away he was perfect to officiate our wedding ceremony. He was sincere, yet humorous, and we greatly appreciated this, as this is exactly what we were seeking in our officiant for our intimate wedding. On our wedding day, Rev. Charles Gilbride did a great job at our wedding. We had a destination beach wedding and had no idea where to have the ceremony. Charles gave us a few locations to check out. He definitely knows his stuff. Our wedding was at the perfect location. The ceremony was fantastic, my mother-in-law said it was absolutely fantastic and she's a hard woman to impress.

Charles was an amazing addition to our wedding day! We had a destination wedding in Fort Lauderdale and Charles was very responsive over the phone and e-mail. He helped us navigate the marriage certificate filing process and executed our marriage documents immediately after our ceremony. The ceremony itself was spectacular. Charles did an incredible job of listening to what my groom and I wanted in our ceremony and he made it happen. He included small details we shared with him during our introduction meeting into our ceremony which made it very special. Charles was professional, kind, approachable. Felt like we were friends for a long time even though we just met! Loved the binder with our vows/ceremony. Great tour guide. Gave us tips on restaurants, things to see/do. Recommended our hotel that was fabulous. Picked us up on our wedding day and took us to the place on the beach where we got married. Beautiful setting. I cannot begin to describe how great Charles was! I was being jerked around by another officiant who finally told me he was booked a little over a month from our wedding date so while I was on vacation, I called Charles. His calm demeanor immediately settled me down and when I got back into town, I paid him his deposit and he went to work. It was so easy for my husband and I and Charles even incorporated our children into the service. He was so amazing, and I would recommend him to anyone getting married in South Florida!

Charles was very personable and responsive. He added humor to our wedding which we loved while still remaining professional. The copy of our vows for future reference was a nice touch and the photographs were wonderful! I would highly recommend his services!

Mr Gilbride, was absolutely AMAZING for the first time meeting him he was so professional and courteous and on point,very inquisitive in reference to pronouncing my name properly!
From the younger to the eldest was absolutely moved by his service,even after the wedding myself and the guest was just blown away by his words! All I can say is Mr Gilbride is the way to go! He saw me sweating because I was nervousness and he took it upon himself to choose his words in a fantastic way! It truly was our PLEASURE to have an officiant as cool calm and collected....he helped make my special day even more special,thank you mr Gilbride you are a 100 star overall!!!!!absol amazing!

Stop looking and hire Charles! You will not be disappointed!

This was a second marriage for both of us. Right after reading Charles's website I knew he was exactly who we would hire! Over the past year, we ended up changing wedding dates three times and each time I would contact him (we're from NY state), I always received a prompt and courteous response to all of my emails. A day before the ceremony, we learned the weather would be turning windy and cool. Charles was flexible when I called to ask if we could change locations from the beach to inside the B Ocean Fort Lauderdale where we were staying (great hotel)! And he was on board with that last minute change too.
I was disappointed that the photographer took way too many photos of me and not nearly enough of "us", so I'm left with few "couple" pics to make copies of. Some pics were not taken at a good angle (ie: in front of us) but were taken from a side angle. Other pics have us looking in different directions and not towards her camera. There was an unfortunate language barrier. So just have your guests take lots of pics.
Charles has a warm personality and is down to earth and made us feel as though we've known him for a long time. He has a way of putting you at ease and making you feel comfortable and not nervous. Thank you Charles for making our special day complete!

I can’t say enough good things about Charles Gilbride! Since ceremonies can be very boring, I really wanted to make sure we found someone that would keep the audience engaged. The moment after the ceremony finished, I had so many of my friends and family members say it was the best ceremony they’ve ever been to! Charles does a wonderful job keeping everyone engaged and really made the ceremony personal. He was wonderful throughout the entire process and quickly answered any questions we had. You will be so glad you hired him!!

Charles was like the guardian angel to our wedding making it so so special, could not of wished for a nicer man to marry me and my husband! He feels like part of the family when he's marred you!
Charles will give you everything you want for your big day. The vows he can creat are unbelievable, bringing tears to you and your guests eyes!
Charles and his services are one in a million I can not stress enough that every wedding needs this man to be part of it.
The stress of a wedding can be hard but knowing Charles had control of the ceremony was amazing and everything was perfect! So one less thing to worry about!

Our beach wedding in Pompano Beach was truly a dream come true. Charles Gilbride was absolutely awesome. He included all of our wishes in the personalized vows. James and I are serious "trekkies" and I asked Charles to include the quote, "live long and prosper". He did and at the end of the ceremony, he played the theme from Star Trek. We were so surprised and overjoyed. I wish there were more than 5 stars to give him. We now have beautiful everlasting memories of the most important day of our lives. Thank you Charles. But after securing his services for our small beach wedding, I am a believer. Charles Gilbride helped make our special day even more special. He is exceptionally organized, personal, and professional. We were unfamiliar with Florida but he knew exactly where to stage the beautiful beach wedding and we were so pleased! He kept us in the loop from the day we reserved his services until the event and then even beyond the wedding date as well providing us with planning information details and now with the pictures, video, and final license information. We couldn't be happier with Charles. We loved the location recommended by Charles. It was absolutely beautiful, exactly what we were looking for in planning our beach wedding. Loved being able to add and personalize our wedding day plans and loved how he added little personal touches after meeting with us. Charles made us feel good from the moment we spoke. I was so worried whether we could find someone we both could relate to. We live in Michigan and Florida is not really next door.

Charles was wonderful! I was a little concerned about getting married in Florida as we live in the state of Washington, but Charles was great. He answered all of my questions, in detail, and helped us work through getting the marriage license. The sunrise wedding ceremony was beautiful and we couldn't have been happier with his officiating. I also want to add that the photographer and videographer were fantastic and put us at ease right away.

Charles did an outstanding job with our wedding ceremony and we received numerous complements from our guests saying that it is one of the best that they have ever been to. Leading up to the big day he was very responsive to emails and also sent us detailed instructions for obtaining our wedding license which was helpful. I found the most wonderful Officiant for my ceremony, it was beautiful. I was looking for someone who could speak such eloquent words that my husband and I would remember and that our guest would also feel the love that we have for each other. I also wanted someone with a sense of humor because you also need to know when to laugh. Charles gave us all of that; our ceremony was filled with beautiful words of advice tears and laughter.

Charles was very welcoming and very warm to myself and my family during this entire process. He was available at all times and made sure he assisted us in the best way. Living in Dallas and planning to wed in Florida appeared to be very stressful, that is until I contacted Charles and he made things so easy! Mr. Gilbride was great to work with. He extremely punctual (early in fact) and did such a great job of putting together a ceremony that was perfect for my Husband and I. Reverend Gilbride married my husband and I on the beach of Fort Lauderdale this May. I requested his services through emails after finding him on the internet and reading glowing reviews.

Prior to meeting Charles, I had so much anxiety about my upcoming wedding ceremony. My husband and I share slightly different religious beliefs and were disagreeing on the content of the ceremony. In addition, I have a complicated family situation and was trying to figure out how to balance the procession without insulting anyone but also staying true to myself. From the moment I contacted Charles I felt at ease. He was so understanding and patient as we spoke extensively about how to make both my husband and I comfortable. When we traveled to Miami over Christmas to complete the planning of our destination wedding, Charles was extremely flexible on his availability and was very accommodating around our other plans to meet with us. Although we had paid a deposit prior to our visit to reserve the time and date, his deposit is refundable. It is clear that any person who offers a refundable deposit is confident with their work and also a truthful and honest individual. When we finally met Charles face to face, after extensive email phone and communications, he was so kind and down to earth. Although we never had any reservations, speaking with him in person really calmed all of my nerves. Shortly after our meeting, Charles sent us multiple drafts of wedding ceremonies that he custom created to meet our needs. He was always responsive when I asked for him to make edits and was constantly in touch with an updated copy. On the day of our wedding Charles was early and efficient. Because it was a destination wedding, we did not have a rehearsal dinner the night before, so this was the only time the bridesmaids and groomsmen had to prepare for the ceremony. Although this was done in just 15 minutes, everything was flawless due to Charles' organization and encouragement. I love watching videos of our ceremony, as it was truly special and customized to our needs. Thank you Charles for being so patient with me and really putting your heart into our special day!

Charles is an amazing officiant... at my wedding the flowers were messed up, the cake was a wreck - but I didn't even care because my ceremony was SO beautiful. My guests said they have never been at such a personal and intimate ceremony and felt like Charles was part of our family. Thank you so much Mr. Gilbride - what you did for our wedding was priceless!!!! People especially loved the hands ceremony, the ring warming and the overall loving tone. When the love of my life asked me to marry him I knew immeditately that I didn't want a big ceremony. I went on a search to find someone to marry us as soon as possible. To my great surprise I found Mr. Charles Gilbride. He is FANTASTIC, patient and very helpful. There was no question to silly to ask him, no such thing as too many phone calls, no request he was not able to accomadate us with. He made our special day as romantic and beautiful as I had it would be.

Charles made our wedding day the absolute best it could be. He went above and beyond what I could have asked for. He picked us up at our hotel to take us to the best spot for a wedding on the beach at sunrise. After the ceremony he took us to great locations for pictures in our area. He had a copy of our marriage license and a video emailed to us the next day. He even included a binder with what he said to us during the ceremony, as well as a certificate of our wedding. I could not be any happier or pleased with the service he provided. I highly recommend him!!

I am from Iowa and was kind of nervous about setting up my wedding with someone in Flordia. Charles was very responsive and helped us along the way. The Wedding was more beautiful than I ever imagined. He really made the wedding with his professionalism and charm. This was a wedding I will never forget. The photos turned out in great quality. I was very impressed. He helped us to pick a beautiful location. His local knowledge saved us alot of money in hotel rooms. We had 22 people at the wedding.

Charles Gilbride conducted a beautiful, moving ceremony. Both of our families were very moved and told us how much they loved the officiant. He made the ceremony both light-hearted and touching. He was also very helpful in helping us sort out the important details and in answering any and all questions we had before the big day. Although my new husband and I are very different people, his flexibility and understanding was superb for the both of us. For anyone considering a beach wedding in the South Florida area, Rev. Gilbride is the perfect officiant.

Mr. Gilbride was very knowledgeable and professional. He was quick to respond to every telephone and email message. His expertise and advice regarding transportation, dining, photography, and lodging was immeasurable. He even worked through the holiday season to ensure we received our pictures a day before Thanksgiving. Our family and friends are still raving about how beautiful the pictures turned out. Wow we would like to say how glad we are that we found Charles Gilbride and Charles Gilbride married us in Fort lauderdale 11/11/11.
We had a very small wedding and Charles made our ceremony amazing.
Charles takes allot of pride in what he dose and made us feel very comfortable in all aspects, he answered all Questions before we asked them, he arranged such a nice ceremony for us.
Charles went above and beyond our expectations and we feel he put 190% into our wedding .

Mr. Gilbride was absolutely wonderful! He provided helpful information on where to stay for easy access to the beach. He aided us in getting our marriage license by mail and most of all he went beyond his duties by picking up a single long stem rose on our wedding day, as we had requested. Our beach wedding was everything we had dreamed it would be, and we owe it all to Mr. Charles Gilbride and to Maria,the photographer. Ginger and I cannot say "Thank You" enough!!....Harvey

Working with Charles, was the biggest pleasure imaginable, my husband and I met with him and both agreed he was the one, he had a great speaking voice, and a pleasant way about him making us feel so comfortable.
He came the day of the rehearsal and helped us all feel more comfortable, the day of the wedding he was there and was so efficient, and funny he made all the guests feel so warm, and also made them all laugh which eased the tension with me.

Working with him was amazing, and wouldn't change a thing.

My wife and I made the right decision in having Charles Gilbride as our officiant for our wedding ceremony. Charles was so professional & prompt and had many of our guest commenting that it was the most beautiful wedding ceremony ever!
