Book them now!

Linda was listed as a preferred vendor for our venue and I immediately went online to look at her reviews and saw no bad reviews at all so I decided to give them a try. I am SO glad I did. Linda and Kippie arrived earlier than planned and started ahead of schedule which is always a good thing. They both catered to the look my bridesmaids, mother's, and I were looking for whether we explained it or showed them pictures. We all looked absolutely beautiful. Linda was even able to squeeze in time after she finished everyone’s hair to style our flower girls hair which we did not originally plan for. She even went out of her way to help us find a basket for the flower girls rose petals I completely forgot to buy!! I would highly recommend booking them for your wedding, you will NOT be disappointed!

Amazing, Highly Recommend!

Linda is a very experienced stylist & knows all the latest trends. I told her the kind of hair style I was looking for with my son's wedding & she nailed it! I received so many wonderful compliments on how beautiful I looked. The wedding & reception were held outdoors. It was a warm wedding day and let me tell you that my hair stood the test of time. It was perfect from beginning to end! Thank you Linda! I will definitely refer you to everyone!

Made my day absolutely perfect

Linda and her crew was so incredibly skilled and efficient. The hair and makeup were gorgeous and exactly what I wanted for my wedding day. Linda was incredibly quick to respond to inquiries and questions. The pricing was very reasonable and definitely a great value for the cost. Linda made me feel at ease the day if the hair trial appointment. She incorporated the accessories beautifully. The make-up was beautifully applied for each girl and they worked with sensitive skin allergied, allowing my girls to bring their own products.

Beyond expectations!

I researched several vendors' websites and loved the natural makeup and diverse hairdos created by Formal Elegance. Linda created the hairstyle I wanted and just the right amount of makeup to make my (now) husband say "WOW"!

Excellent Service

Formal Elegance Hair and Makeup did a fantastic job with hair and makeup for myself (bride) as well as my wedding party. They were so fun to have with us as we were getting ready. We were able to share our inspiration pictures with them and they executed perfectly. Would definitely recommend!

Great hair and makeup

I usually don’t wear any makeup, but Linda did a great job giving me a natural look that was perfect for my wedding day. The makeup stayed on all night. She did a great job on my hair also.

Linda and Kippy provided fantastic services and were very responsive from day one. I received so many compliments from family and guests on my wedding day about my hair and makeup. Awesome experience. I would choose Linda again!

She was early to the venue and even beat me there that day and that was awesome because we got started on hair and makeup immediately! She made me look exactly how I pictured if not better on my wedding day. My makeup lasted and my hair held up really well for 90 degree weather in October!

I'm so glad that i found Linda to do my hair and makeup for my wedding! She was very responsive to my initial inquiry as well as all of the communication throughout the process of scheduling the trial and finalizing plans for the day of. AND MY HAIR! oh my! I got so many compliments on how great my hair looked, a couple of people told me it was the most beautiful hair they had ever seen on a bride. My makeup stayed in place and looked great in pictures right up to the end of the evening. I enjoyed spending time with Linda as she clearly loves what she does and works with you so that she can execute your "vision". Would highly recommend her.

I loved my experience with Linda and Kippy!!! Linda was able to fit me in pretty last minute and work around my schedule as I tried to fit in a trial just a day before the wedding. Everything was perfect! I even had a mini breakdown right before I had to leave for the ceremony and cried off all of my makeup. Kippy patiently reapplied everything and gave me pointers on how to keep my makeup from smearing in case the feeling to cry struck again. I didn't cry the rest of the night!

Linda is absolutely amazing! I had a destination wedding in Blue Ridge, GA with all the planning being done long distance and was very nervous about all the comes with that especially of my hair and makeup. Let me just say it was truly and wonderful experience, when she finished making me over l felt so beautiful! That’s exactly how every bride should feel! Our wedding was a private ceremony for my husband and I so there were no guests but with Linda being there with her warm and caring presence I didn’t feel alone. For all you ladies out there looking for someone to make you look your best on your special day, Linda is your go to person!! Very talented and professional!

Linda was a pleasure to work with and made all of my wedding hair dreams come true! She is skilled in a wide variety of hairstyles and brought my and my bridesmaids' visions to life. I provided my own extensions and she worked them into my desired hairstyle seamlessly. She also was incredibly meticulous yet efficient with each of our hair-do's. Linda's colleague, Kippy, was equally as talented and professional while doing everyone's make-up. Our individual looks were stunning while still allowing us to look like ourselves. I highly recommend both Linda and Kippy for wedding hair and make-up. They can master a wedding day look for any type of bride!

Amazing service! Linda is very professional and it's very clear that she loves what she's doing. My hair an make up turned out fabulous! It was windy, humid, and rainy and my curls stayed intact; which is quite a feat because my hair has a hard time holding a curl to begin with. I loved that my makeup wasn't overpowering and complimented my natural features.

Wonderful experience with Linda and her team! Had a destination wedding in the middle of the mountains and it was a bit stressful.... Linda put my bridesmaids and I at ease immediately and the results were phenomenal. Hair and makeup lasted through hours of dancing ... and even through some happy tears ha ha ha. Best part was that she listened to what we wanted and gave sage advice on what would and would not work for all of the varied hair and skin types... she wasn't pushy but guided us to combine our "visions" with what would hold and work on a practical level. In the end the results were stunning and even better than any of us hoped. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants a true professional.

Linda does amazing work!! She did hair and makeup for my outdoor wedding April 29th. My hair turned out even more amazing than I had pictured it being and it held up all day! My bridesmaids hair also looked fantastic! They showed her pictures on the day of what they wanted and Linda ended up making it look so much better! She also did a great job with everyones makeup! I do not wear a lot of makeup so I loved that she able to make me look good for pictures but also kept my makeup looking natural.

I showed Linda a few Pinterest photos of what I was hoping for. She knew exactly the "look" I wanted and ran with it. We did a quick trail before and did an absolute incredible job on my wedding day. She was fast, efficient, took critism really well, takes direction even better, and was sooooo great. I'm from Chattanooga so I was a little weary of hiring someone I didn't know, but I'm so glad I did. Excellent job!

Linda was truly amazing! She stayed in touch thru texting to phone calls. She showed up early to setup and to get things going. I live in Florida and had to do all communication out of state. I am so happy I found Linda through the Internet. There is not enough space to do credit for the AMAZING services Linda provides. She made me feel like the most beautiful bride and our photos reflect her hard work! There is so much I would like to write about Linda... She is the best of the best... 30 years in the beauty business. She made my wedding day a day to remember. She was on time, she is wonderful, a true professional, easy to talk with... I truly mean, I am so glad I found her. She did my hair twice the same day. One romantic vintage look for my ceremony and a 1920s look for my reception. HUAUUUU both makeup and hair were astonishing.... Linda thank you sooo much.. Linda did my hair and my bridal party's hair for my wedding. Everyone's hair turned out fabulous! She was very attentive to what everyone envisioned. She also did a good job with making sure that enough pins and hairspray were in place to prevent the up-do's from falling during the night. I was also glad that she was able to keep to the schedule and we finished on-time. I was worried that we would run late but I think we actually finished early! Her friend Kippy did our makeup and it turned out wonderful as well. She was very open to suggestions and had a full array of makeup products to choose from. I haven't received my professional photos yet but from the photos I've seen taken by friends and family, everyone looks beautiful! Thank you Linda & Kippy!

Linda provided hair and make-up services for my wedding on July 11th. We had rented a house in Clayton GA with our ceremony being in Long Creek, SC at Chattooga Belle Farm. She traveled to the house and was there on time for my bridal party and I. She made sure everything was exactly how we wanted it to be. I was very happy with the way everything turned out especially since I did not get the chance to do a trial run. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she did exactly what I had asked for! Thanks to her, my day was stress free and happy! I highly recommend her.

Linda is a PHENOMENAL hair/makeup artist! She did hair + makeup for the bridal party at my best friend's wedding last August. As I recall, everyone was very pleased. She did such great work and was so kind and easy to work with, so I kept in touch and took my mother to meet her for a hair/makeup consult. She took time out of her weekend to work w/ OUR schedule, gave great advice/tips and got us set up with products that would best compliment us individually. I recently contacted Linda for my mother-in-law's wedding this weekend. She responded almost immediately and patiently helped me to work out the details (cost, appointment length, etc.) even at my most unorganized and stressful moments. Though only my MIL and I were her only clients for the event, she graciously agreed to come to the wedding location. I was even more satisfied with her services this time around and I don't believe my mother-in-law could've been happier! Linda is wonderful at listening to her clients' wants/ideas and taking them into consideration while simultaneously offering advice based on her experiences to achieve stunning results! Though I'm sure the bridal parties at each of these events would've gotten compliments anyway, I'm able to say with full confidence that Linda's services were THE reason we received so many more than expected at either event. Linda is naturally gifted with the ability to enhance her clients' best features and I'm truly unable to count the compliments and praise that each bride and I received regarding our hair, makeup or overall appearance. I fully plan on using her services for my own wedding and any other events for which I am responsible for coordinating hair/makeup services. Ultimately, if you're looking for a talented hair and makeup artist to offer services for your wedding or special occasion, I would highly recommend Linda for any event. Great job! She was on time and made the entire experience comfortable and fun. All I had to do is show a picture of what I wanted and she pulled it off. The price was reasonable and worth every penny. A true 10!

Linda was so amazing and flexible to work with! She did my makeup last weekend for my wedding and all my bridesmaids looked gorgeous! Everyone's make up stayed on all night and looked great in pictures! Overall fantastic experience! Thank you for making me feel beautiful on the most important day of my life :)
Ps- I do not live local and never had a trial run. I highly reccomend Linda to anyone, but especially those who arnt able to meet her before an event!

Linda and Kippie were wonderful! They traveled to Atlanta the morning of my wedding and did not only my hair, but 6 of my bridesmaids! They were very professional and got us finished up ahead of schedule. I showed Linda a photo of a style that I liked and she replicated it perfectly. My hair never usually holds a curl, but my curls and style lasted the whole night. All of my bridesmaids loved their hair as well and their styles held up the whole night too. Thank you Linda!!!

Linda was AMAZING! She did my bridal trial, bridal portrait hair and makeup, and my wedding day hair and makeup and all were perfect! She is very easy to work with, and reliable! The day before our wedding, a huge ice/snow storm hit North Georgia, and she got a hotel in Atlanta just so she could make our wedding. I cannot say enough good things about Linda! Linda was a pleasure to work with. She was flexible when it came to scheduling my trial run for hair and makeup, she was very polite and took her time with me, she listened to and understood exactly what I wanted with both hair and makeup. Anything I wasn't completely happy with during the trial, she made certain was what I wanted on my wedding day. The day of my wedding, she was punctual and got me to the alter on time ; ). I would be happy to work with her again and would recommend her to others.

Linda was AMAZING! I showed her 1 picture of my idea for my hair and she was able to create it perfectly. She listened to me about wanting my makeup to look natural, everything came out beautiful. I looked exactly the way I'd imagined for my wedding day!

The Formal Elegance team is awesome! They do amazing work and are very attentive to their brides and bridal parties. They are flexible and extremely great to work with. They went out of their way to make both me and my bridesmaids feel special and look our best on my wedding day. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants to look their very best for any occasion. Their expertise and skills are great and I am so glad that I chose to work with them on my big day!

Linda was great! She was responsive to my inquiries and so kind. She came out to the venue and was cognizant of the detour. Linda showed up early and helped keep us on time. I was almost certain we would be running behind (two of my bridesmaids have really long, really think hair), but we all ended up getting our hair done ahead of schedule--made for a stress free event! Myself and three bridesmaids all got our hair done by Linda and all the styles turned out beautifully. There were two up-dos and two down styles and they looked really great, all of them.

I can not express how incredibly pleased I am with Linda and the services she provided on my wedding day!! She is so warm and friendly and set me totally at ease on the big day (it is already so easy to get stressed and we had a huge downpour of rain to boot). She was very flexible. We did not quite know how many people would have their hair done until the day of. And she is so talented. She totally understood my vision for my wedding hair and was able to make just the right adjustments after the hair trial. She is very affordable and really cares about her clients as people. I was married on March 15, 2014. Linda done our hair on that special day every little girl dreams about and it was perfect. There was 6 members of the wedding party plus me for hair and makeup. I knew what I wanted done Linda even meet me a few weeks before the wedding to do a practice so everything went so smoothly. Our hair and makeup turned out perfect because she cares, strives for perfection, and listens to what you want. My wedding would not be complete without her!

Linda and Kippy were amazing! They worked my wedding a few weeks ago - the pictures are starting to come back now and WOW - they did such an excellent job on hair / make up for myself (bride) and my 5 bridesmaids. I was so happy working with them. Linda traveled to my house for my trial and then on the wedding day, came to us at the hotel suite to get us ready.

The wedding day was hectic, but with them doing our hair and makeup, that was one less thing to worry about. I'm so glad we went with Linda and Kippy for our event - the pictures speak for themselves! Thanks ladies!!

It would not of worked without you ladies! Had to contact them a month out from the wedding because of conflict with our original cosmetologist, and it was the best decision I made. They were thorough and listened wonderfully. We didn't have time to do a trial but it wasn't needed. I would recommend these ladies to anyone who just wants to feel beautiful, bride or not.

Linda was great. She was on time and had all of the women's hair done before schedule. I even got to eat something before the wedding, which helped because I hardly ate anything at the wedding. All of our hair looked wonderful and she was able to do my step-daughters hair, who decided to highlight her hair the week before the wedding, in a way it all blended and looked perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better stylist for the wedding.

My hair looked absolutely beautiful for my wedding! Linda showed up early to set up and was very organized. She was flexible with me while I was answering the phone and dealing with last minute issues. I would definitely use Linda again!

Me and my fiance decided to elope in Helen,GA. Linda traveled to the cabin and did my hair and makeup without a trial run. She was very willing to meet all my needs. My makeup came out great for all the photos. I am so glad I picked her for my special day.

Linda new exactly what I wanted and made myself and my step-daughter absolutely beautiful for this special day! We didn't even do a trial run. Make up quality was great; it was enough for pictures but it still looked natural and no shine. Hair turned out very classy and more than I could have asked for! You can't go wrong working with Linda. She is very talented. Thanks again Linda for such a great experience!

Linda with Formal Elegance Hair and Makeup Studio was a joy to work with! She helped create the perfect look for my wedding day. I was very pleased with how she made sure I loved my hairstyle during the trial run. Linda made sure to meet every request and perfectly recreated what I was looking for! I was very impressed with how professional and friendly she is. She has a beautiful studio as well.

I would highly recommend Formal Elegance Hair & Makeup to any bride looking to feel beautiful on her wedding day. Linda did a great job! Linda has done my hair for years and I always walk away very happy. She is very talented when it comes to creativity for different hair styles that are very retro. She recently did a beautiful job on my daughters hair for a Padgett, it looked perfect for her age and gave her such confidence about how she looked. Linda Phelps created the perfect hairstyle for me on my wedding day! I felt so comfortable with her skills, I was not worried at all about the end result. Nervous bride turned confident

I was apprehensive contacting someone to do my hair for my late July wedding. I have never had the best of luck with paying someone for a formal updo. Which is one reason I put it off until the week of. I know not the best thing to do. I was put at total ease when Linda walked me through my bridal hair updo. She came to the bridal cabin at Southern Tree Plantation and was absolutely fantastic. We worked together to create a low loose updo that stayed in place and made me feel absolutely beautiful. Linda thank you for helping me look confident and beautiful on what turned out to be a perfect day!

Linda and Formal Elegance work wonders with hair and makeup! They styled me and my bridesmaids for an outdoor wedding in May, and did a wonderful job, whether the person they were working on had hair that was two feet or two inches long. Especially important was that the styles lasted through hours of wind. I never had to worry about my hair or makeup during the entire wedding! Also important was Formal Elegance's flexibility - they worked out of a cabin my bridesmaids and I rented for the weekend, which meant that we didn't have to travel and could relax all morning. I highly recommend them to anyone in the North Georgia area who wants to look great for a special event.

Great Wedding Hair!

I loved my bridal hair for my wedding!
However, I wasn’t too pleased with my bridesmaid’s hair but we were able to tweak it up to make it work.
I received SO many compliments on mine though!!

Linda is wonderful!!! She is the best of the best there is. Everyone's hair turned out fabulous! Mother was very satisfy with the make up and hair. The thing that I liked most about Linda was she was not shy to talked to my mother who does speak English but with an ascent. Linda was able to gave great advise with the makeup and hair my mother chose. Had to work with moms skin tone and also the veil she was going to wear. As of right now we have recommended her to one future bride and a quinceañera.

Linda drove out to our house to do the bride's makeup and hair. She also did the makeup for the bridesmaids and mother of the bride. The bride's hair was exactly what she had requested and look lovely for the entire wedding and reception. Linda knows her business.
