If you want a fun, worry-free reception, Rob Jones and Forever Productions is the way to go. You can tell Rob has a lot of experience DJ'ing weddings and parties, because he knows how to read a crowd and keep the event running smoothly.

He was great to work with for our wedding reception. He met with us twice before the wedding, including once at the venue where we could walk-through the set-up. Forever Productions was very competitively priced. And, he strung beautiful lights over and around the outdoor dance floor.

At the reception, Rob even mixed his own mash-ups, which our guests loved. He took plenty of requests and got everyone on the dance floor. We would recommend DJ Rob to anyone who is looking to have a fun and classy event.

Robert was outstanding he was so flexible and worked with us to make sure we were happy throughout the whole evening. He also had the best price compared to all the other Dj in this area. They were very professional and on time. Robert and his assistant also made sure that all of our guests were having a great time and he knew exactly what music to play and when to play it. I was so happy at the end of the wedding and I would recommend him to any bride that wants to have a stress free wedding. Thank You Forever Production for making my wedding so perfect!!!

WOW!!! What can I say?! My entire life I've been brought up on the concept of professionalism and exceptional customer service. We had never met Rob prior to working with him, but based on his response, character and passion for what he does, you would've thought he was one of our best friends. I understood from an early age that people don't buy product in the service industry, they buy PEOPLE. Well... not only was Rob one of the most phenomenal 'people' I've ever worked with, but his product was nothing short of magical. He is passionate, not just about providing a service, but rather about providing an experience. For me and my wife, that experience I could never truly put into words how incredible it was- yes, because I was marrying the woman of my dreams:), but also because Rob went above and beyond in making sure it was incredibly special for us. If Rob sold anything, I'd recommend him- regardless of wedding services, because he truly represents what good business is supposed to be. Thank you so much for the night of our lives!!!

Rob did an awesome job at our wedding! From the first time we contacted him he was responsive and professional. We decided to skip the DJ and just use an i-pod but as the day approached I got nervous about it. A few months later when I got an email from Rob asking if we had chosen anyone, I jumped at it, and I am so glad I did. I was worried that we weren't going to have the kind of crowd that would dance a lot, but I was wrong. Rob really read our guest and played the music that got everyone up and dancing. It was such a fun night and Forever Productions was exactly the right choice! Thank you SO MUCH!!!

Rob at Forever Productions did an amazing job at my wedding! Everyone danced the night away! He stayed an extra hour because people were having such a blast on the dance floor! It was great being able to select the music you want to hear at your event online! He was very professional and I couldn't have asked for a better day! He was more than a DJ- He made sure EVERYTHING went smoothly at the reception. Can't thank him and the company enough!!

I was really worried that it would be hard to get people to dance but they had people dancing non stop the whole time. They were so nice and easy to work with. We had really wanted a band but since our space was limited we got a DJ. Even if we ever have room for a band for other parties, we will be going back to the DJ at forever productions. They can play every song that you want and can gauge the crowds mood to get them moving. Everyone told us what a great DJ he was and everyone had a blast.

Rob was awesome! We loved being able to sit down and meet with him to discuss the wedding early on. We also loved the online access to his music and the ability to request songs the we really wanted to hear, along with block ones that we did not want played at the wedding! He had a wonderful sense humor and dealt with our crazy wedding party and family like a true professional. I would highly recommend Forever Productions!

Rob was everything and more that we could have asked for in a DJ. He did an excellent job of keeping the night moving along even when our day of coordinator let things fall a little behind.
His website is very self explanatory and he is more than willing to help you out (on Mondays or Tuesdays as he's busy with events on the weekends) if you want to talk with him. He will also contact you a few days in advanced to go over name pronunciations, timelines and any last details so don't stress in the months prior if you don't speak with him.
Rob's MC skills were top notch and he ensured that our guests had a great time. Thanks for helping to make our special day perfect!

Rob was awesome! He is extremely easy to work with and answers all questions promptly. His website is easy to use and links music to itunes so you can sample the song. He has thousands of songs available and obtains any music he does not have... so the options are limitless! Rob is the best DJ and I would definitely recommend him!

Rob was a great DJ! He played all the right songs and the majority of songs from my must play list. Very professional yet fun. Always responded back to my emails quickly. He also helped make my ceremony perfect but using his wireless mics for the minister and for our ceremony musician. Great price also. I would recommended him to anyone!

Our September 24th wedding was an absolute blast, and I give much of that credit to our DJ, Rob Jones of Forever Productions. He certainly made our event fun and kept people dancing. There were family members out on the dance floor that I thought I'd never see out there! He created such a fun atmosphere and his song selections were dead on! The only complaint I have is that he was late arriving to the ceremony and hadn't called to let us know. Finally, 15 minutes before our ceremony, my wedding coordinator came to find me and get his number. He said he had forgotten his pass to get on base and had to turn around to get it. This is understandable, but he did have many contact numbers that I had provided on the online form. He could have called me, my groom, my planner, or the manager to the event site. Then we could have just sponsored him to get on bass without a pass. But that aside, once Rob did get there, he had everything set up in no time. Many of my guests didn't even notice he was late. All my songs for my ceremony were just like I had requested, and the reception was perfect. Thanks for such a great time! Awesome job Rob! You made a world of difference and I'm so happy that you were our DJ! Very satisfied!

I very much enjoyed working with Rob. Everything was great the only thing I could criticize actually worked out well. That was that I had asked him to not play the YMCA but as he explained to me so many of the guests (who had a bit to drink) had requested it. I now have great pictures I would not have had otherwise, specifically a picture of my brother in-law forcing me to do the YMCA which is totally out of his character. Rob was able to find a favorite song of mine from a unfortunately not YET well known band to play. Overall I would definitely recommend Rob as a DJ to anyone, except a Bridezilla but that is for his sake not theirs. :)

As a professional musician I had a lot of high expectations when it came to the musical entertainment for our wedding reception. Forever Productions was able to meet all of those and even went a step further to provide valuable connections to additional services.
Our party on Sunday, October 16th, 2011 was a success. The dance floor stayed busy and the party flowed thanks to D.J. Rob's experience and flexibility. He was very polite, and listened carefully to every request made prior to and during the event.

although rob was a little tough to get in touch with sometimes, our reception turned out fantastically. i loved the planning worksheets we filled out online because they helped me make sure i had all my "ducks in a row", but as a musician, rob really knew how to read the crowd and keep things moving, too! he did a GREAT job!

We met with Rob, the owner of Forever DJ productions. We booked because we felt comfortable with him and what he offered. Rob told us we would not have him as the DJ as he had a prior event but assured us that the DJ we would get was qualified and would do a good job (we also got another recommendation from the same DJ). Forever DJ productions has a website so that you can input song requests and do a schedule of events. My husband spend several hours working on this, however, the day of the wedding, I do not think the DJ had even reviewed it or had it printed. He did not follow the schedule of events and kept asking us through the night when we wanted to do things. Since I didnt have it printed with me, I felt like we had no real schedule during the evening. Also, he only played a handful of the requested songs and was very difficult to understand. Overall, I would recommend forever DJ productions. But be sure you meet with the actual DJ and that you confirm with them ahead of time that they printed the schedule. Everyone at the wedding had fun, I dont think anyone else even noticed the DJ, but since we were paying for him and we had spent so many hours on the forms online, we were slightly dissapointed. But still had a great time.

I had a great time at my wedding and overall Rob did a good job. But he didn't play hardly any of the songs on our must play list. Also, we live in Charlotte. One weekend we drove down to Wilmington for an appointment with Rob; which he forgot. He apologized and apologized and said he would offer some extras, like lighted backgrounds because of this, but we never received anything extra. It would have been nice to hear the music we requested. Also, we said ABSOLUTELY no country and he played a couple of country songs. I am sure people may have requested them, but still- our wedding is for us, not our guests.

Overall though, I think he did a pretty good job. He felt out the crowd and what they liked, he didn't plug his own services (we have been to many a wedding like this), he dressed professionally and he is a nice guy.

While DJ Rob was eager to provide cost cutting deals and provided am impressive internet questionaire system, in the end his performance was dissapointing and product not at all what we asked for. After recieving a deposit from us, DJ Rob asked us to fill out several pages of detailed forms concerning the scheduling of the reception and our music selections for each category. After submitting the selections several weeks in advance AND attempting to contact him to confirm these selections, the music he actually played at the reception had no relationship to anything we had actually selected. Instead of southern blues music, Rob played easy listening and instead of the 80's dance music we requested he played the cha cha/macarena group dance songs. In fact at one point he asked my brother if we were hispanic and when he recieved a yes-proceeded to play salsa music.

This DJ was all hype, and little substance. They screwed up our wedding night by not paying attention to the details. After talking with the owner after he told me he would refund us some money; he has since stopped returning calls. Be wary of hiring this company. My fiancee and I met with Rob, the owner of the business, four days before our wedding. He talked his business up and got us excited for a fun night, but also spent much of the time bad mouthing our wedding planners- the same ones that had sent us to him. We went through everything that we expected from the DJ and filled out all his forms for request songs, people to be introduced etc. He told us he would be at our wedding for the first hour or so and then his assistant would stay the remainder of the time after he "got things started." When we arrived at the reception, the DJ held us in the foyer for nearly 20 minutes writing down all the names to introduce and making sure he understood who was going in what order. The wife and I just looked and each other and commented, "Didn't we already give all this to your boss?" Rob never even bothered to come to our reception like he promised us, and clearly did not give all the required information to his employee. The night went on and the DJ to his credit played all the requested songs we asked for and the music was fine. The DJ was not social however; he did not get on the microphone very much and talk to crowd and act as an emcee like expected. Essentially, he was a playlist in a tuxedo. The big problem came at the end of the night. The DJ stopped playing 40 minutes before the end of our contract and announced we were leaving for our send off to the guests. My wife and I were left standing around confused. The confusion turned to embarrassment 5 minutes later when we realized it was not even 10:30 and the DJ had stopped playing. My wife went up to talk with him and the DJ informed her that our reception ends at 10:30. My wife angrily corrected him and said that it ended at 11:00. He spent the next 5 minutes trying to get his boss on the phone. At this point, guests are starting to put their coats on and make their way for the door. It was 10:45 before he got his equipment set up again and by that time he had already killed the party. The next week I contacted Rob to explain all that had gone wrong. I told him there was nothing that could change what happened but that we did not get a $1000 DJ and he should refund us some of our money to make things right. He said he would make it right and that he needed to follow up with his DJ one more time and then he would call back and we would discuss the refund. He has refused to return my calls or answer his business phone for 6 weeks now. And, despite what his website will tell you, he is not affiliated with the Better Business Bureau, and will not respond to them either.

The man named Rob Jones takes your money and does not show up to deliver the services. I have no problem in upgrading my review upon his full return of the money owed back. Rob, pay up!

I should have known when Rob showed up late to our first meeting, but he seemed like a nice guy- promised a lot, and I ended up choosing him for our wedding. On July 23, 2011 I walked into my reception and was pulled aside by the DJ's assistant who whispered in my ear "we do not have any of your songs." I had spent hours customizing his online form specifing who our wedding party was, what songs to play when they walked in, my first dance song w/ my husband, with my dad, etc. All of that was gone! You would have thought DJ Rob would have called me anytime leading up to the wedding to say he didn't receive it, but no...they told me at my reception! This is the DJ's only job, to play the right songs. I do not recommed DJ rob.- Morgan

When we originally contacted Rob we were super excited. We really wanted to be mic'd up for our beach ceremony. He promised he could make this happen and the price seemed fair. I stressed to him multiple times that sound for the ceremony was my number one priority. He also said if we paid the deposit by a certain date he'd throw in monogram lights for free. We should have known we'd have problems when we went to meet with him and he didn't show up and none of his phone numbers worked. That same day we ran into someone at the church and they told us about how he ruined their daughters wedding. We gave him the benefit of the doubt because we did talk to him later that day and he was very nice. Anyway, our planner was in touch with him and we thought we were good to go for the wedding. He promised he could be there at any time that day as he had no other weddings. We told him to come at noon. Well around 130pm I looked outside at the beach where all the chairs were set up and saw no speakers. I started to panic. Our planner called him and he said he was on his way. We waited some more and he still didn't show. At 245 he was still on his way. We went ahead with the wedding ceremony without sound. After the ceremony the planner found a stereo and hooked up an ipod for the cocktail hour. Well he finally showed up at 5pm. It was pretty awkward from that point. We were definitely very upset and it caused a lot of added stress. We were glad he showed as we had a huge party crowd. He did play a number of songs we had requested and took requests. We probably would have had a great time and given an awesome review had he been on time and delivered what he was contracted to. And he definitely never came through with the monogrammed light. He did stay for 2 hours past the time we had agreed upon and took $150 off the bill. Probably should have done more since he really didn't come through on what was most important to us as emphasized repeatedly

DO NOT USE THIS DJ! the only good thing I can say right now is that he did get us a replacement. We hired rob with the expectations that he was going to make our night AMAZING! the wedding so happened to fall on his birthday (so he says) and he was so excited to help us out and that he would throw in a few extras to make the night extra special. I met with him the four days before the wedding at the venue site to go over the last minute changes and to see what we were working with. I made a mistake on the start time so he said he would take away the lights and do our ceremony for us. I gave him our song list, and filled out most of the information on his website as far as introductions and such. He talked about contacting my day of event planner to go over the last few details which he never did. It wasn't till I went up to my ceremony that I realized he wasn't there and instead a totally different person was there. I assumed this was an assistant of Robs...which was fine. Except it wasn't! it was a totally different company, this poor guy had no information from rob and didn't get any idea of where the place was or who the contact people an hour before the wedding started. Rob lied to this guy and told him that I knew all about his absence and I was cool with everything. NOPE. i had no idea Rob wasn't going to be at the wedding. No email, no phone call and no text. This poor guy didn't know I wanted music during the ceremony, or dinner time. He had no music list...luckly I made a copy of the list and was able to give it to the new guy. For the most part the new guy (i think his name was daniel) was great he hustled but his computer stopped working and we had silence for a good half hour 40 min. i had guests running around trying to come up with play lists...needless to say that is not what my guests should be doing at my wedding when i have paid for a DJ to do that. all and all the night ended very well...still no word from Rob except for a generic email which told me how amazing our wedding was and how honored he was to be apart of it :( FULL OF CRAP! I want my money back...Rob broke the contract and isn't even a decent enough of a person to contact me and let me know whats up or to even apologize. Do not use this company! I stress DO NOT!

DO NOT USE THIS DJ!!!!! My husband and I were married in August and if it weren't for our caterer having a list of perferred vendors, we would not have had ANY music for our wedding. We hired Rob Jones of Forever Productions in January of 2012. He kept in touch for the first few months and was very enthuiastic. The closer our wedding date came, the further he distanced himself. We planned a "destination" wedding in Southport, NC from Charlotte and required a meet and greet in April 2012 at our venue. Rob showed up an hour late and blamed it on "being too early". He seemed fine in the short time that we got to meet him. A few months before our wedding, he was avoiding phone calls and emails. Evenutally he contacted me back and claimed he was in the middle of a divorce. I gave my condolences and asked if this would effect his ability to perform services at our wedding; he claimed absolutely not.Well, we decided to pay an extra $175 to have Rob perform our rehearsal and ceremony in addition to the reception. Lucky for us, we knew when he didn't show for the rehearsal, he wouldn't show for the wedding.As I continually freaked out the remainder of the day- my friends and family all of a sudden found research on a drug arrest a few months prior in South Carolina- no wonder his wife was divorcing him.Needless to say, my caterer referred us to Shoresound Productions- and they were nothing short of AMAZING! Rob spoke with my father the night before the wedding and said no problem to a full refund and apologized. I played phone tag for a few weeks trying to arrange repayment before I gave up and didn't want to have to start my marriage with this hanging over our heads.Needless to say, the name of his company has changed numerous times because of this same reason.

To all COUPLES this piece of crap has ripped off! Our family would like to make sure this heroin addict/criminal will never pray on another unsuspecting bride and groom. I would love for all parties in which this guy has ripped off to come together to file a suit with one another, MAKING IT A FELONY charge, thus putting him out of business for good! Nobody deserves to be robbed, ESPECIALLY ON SUCH A SPECIAL DAY!
Attention! This guy Rob Jones is a heroin junkie! He is known throughout Wilmington as one who prays on out of town people who are coming to the area for their weddings. He failed to show up! He claimed he had he "issues due to the his photo booth being damaged" BULL%^*&^! He stated he was waiting for a mechanic? Yes thats right a "mechanic" to fix his photo booth! He stated two and a half hours prior to the wedding that he was in fact in route, and was two hours out! NEVER SHOWED! Nearly ruined my baby sisters wedding reception! A special thanks to our last minutes DJ replacement! He was wonderful.

DO NOT HIRE THIS PERSON. WE NOW HAVE FOUND OUT WE WERE NOT THE FIRST PEOPLE HE HAS DONE THIS TO. IF MATT FROM LIFE STAGE FILMS HAD NOT PULLED STRINGS FOR US AND GOTTEN A GREAT BACK-UP DJ, THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN NO MUSIC.

Do not for any reason hire this company to do anything for your wedding. They do not show up and steal your money!!

Well I now know why Rob Jones did not show up to DJ our wedding. He obviously booked two weddings for the same day!!
As I can tell from the post below he went to their wedding instead. We talked to Rob back in May and sent him a deposit for our September 29th wedding in Topsail Beach. We agreed to meet the Monday before our wedding to go over details and everything. Well he never showed up. I should have known then that he wasnt to be trusted but he said he never recieved my email confirming the time. So we agreed to meet on Tuesday around 11am. So 11 comes and goes and he doesnt show up. So we call and he doesnt answer. Finally he sends me a txt saying he'll be there soon. He finally shows up around 2pm. We go over all the details and tell him that he CAN NOT be late on Saturday. He even agrees to show up at 5pm instead of 7 like we had planned.

So our big day arrives and everything is going great, Pastor Lewis shows up early to set things up. Patty who is doing our cake and decorations shows up on time. Caterer is on time. But no Rob!! So we call and txt and no answers. So we keep calling and calling and he eventually shuts off his phone. I just cant believe someone could do this to someone on thier most special day! Luckily we had a great time without him.

And we've talked to some other people who have had the same problem with him and even found a website that shows he was arrested about a year ago for trafficking heroin!!

We contacted Rob initially for our October 19th wedding back in January. At first, he was very responsive. Once he received our deposit things changed. First, let me say that I lost my brother to cancer in March, and with the cost of the funeral and travel, it put limitations on our plans. We contacted Rob to see if there was any way we could get our 50% deposit back for our Friday wedding (3 hour reception time), since it was well in advance and there was not anything noted in the contract about cancellations. We tried various times to contact him via phone, email, and stopped by is "office location," to try and speak with him about a refund. A week later we received the first response that "his wife left him and took our deposit and to contact him weekly to see if he has the money." We kindly wrote back and stated that we were planning on contacting the BBB and possibly taking legal action to get our refund back and we shouldn’t have to track him down to get our deposit back. Response two: (again a couple of weeks later) stated that he wasn't familiar with who we were and what we were talking about and he would go through his emails to try and refresh his memory; Response three: he stated he did not have anything on file for our daughter’s wedding (what daughter, this was OUR wedding). We finally contacted the BBB and the state county commissioner and filed complaints against his business (BY the way neither had him listed as an accredited business). The final response, after receiving our complaint from the BBB, he responded rudely that he was going to file a complaint on us with the BBB, which made no sense at all, and that if we insisted on legal action to “go ahead with it.” It has already been a rough engagement for us losing my best man and brother and to have to deal with a SCAM artist like ROBERT (ROB) JONES is not what/whom you want to deal with when planning such an important and special day. So grateful we realized who he really was before our wedding!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM!!!!

We hired Rob and Forever Productions do DJ our wedding on July 18, 2012. He was fairly responsive to the set-up aspects of the wedding but requested full payment prior to the wedding. I paid the contract in-full ($700.00) by his deadline and expected everything would be taken care of. Around 2:00 ON THE WEDDING DAY he starts calling saying he has car trouble. Needless to say, he NEVER SHOWED UP! We were left without a DJ on our wedding day. I tried calling him dozens of times and he never answered. We finally got ahold of him 36 hours later and he claimed he was in an area with no reception (for 36 hours?!?!). He agreed by phone to refund my money. I sent him a certified letter, which he did sign for, requesting repayment by August 10th. August 10th has now come and gone, no repayment and no responding to phone calls. I have called the North Carolina Secretary of State and was told that there is no business registered in the State called "Forever Productions", which they are in the process of investigating. I am now in the process of filing a case with the State Attorney General's office for business fraud.

Forever Productions either does not legally exist as a tax-paying business, or he decided to scam me from he start. The first check I sent him in the amount of $300.00 was signed over to a third person, then cashed. The second check I sent him in the amount of $400.00 was signed at a check cashing chain (not a bank) by him. No deposit into a business account. This entire situation is shady and I have been given no answers by Rob as to why he STOLE my money and continues to avoid and ignore me.

PLEASE EVERYONE! Do yourself a favor. AVOID THIS SCAM! Do not get robbed like we did! Do not ever pay before the event! Do not EVER write a personal check to ROB. Please only use a DJ service that allows you to write a check to a LEGAL business name.
