Fun time dj!

We were beyond pleased with how easy it was for us to work with them; not just thorough and professional, but also warm and personable. We lucked out when they had opening 4 days in prior to our wedding date as we had to re-plan and re-locate hundreds of miles due to a hurricane.

Dancing the Night Away

We had a great experience with Fonix. Olivia their Office Manager made sure to keep in great communication with me. She told us that DJ JJ was available for our wedding and that he would fit right in. Olivia set up a phone call between JJ and I to go over the small logistics of the wedding. He had great energy and went over everything on his side and made sure I felt comfortable throughout the whole process. Fonix provides you with a link to create your wedding playlist on. It was the most simple and easiest form I have ever dealt with. Their library had endless songs and if they didn't have one, you simple added it to your custom playlist. They made sure every song we listed was played at some point during our wedding. They are very professional and know how to have a great time. DJ JJ went through our whole planning list to make sure we were both on the same page and knew what songs would be played when. The day of wedding came and DJ JJ was fabulous. We told him that we wanted him to interact with our guest, get them up on the dance floor and that is exactly what he did. If our guest wasn't feeling a particular song, he would immediately change it. He is very observant and we had the best time with him. Thanks for a great night!!

Perfection

DJ Travis was exactly who we needed for our wedding! We first saw him at a bridal convention and immediately went home to book him for our wedding. After watching videos of other DJs, I felt like a lot of DJs were either too hyped for the guests we had attending, or catered to a much younger crowd (teenagers and below). That was not the case with DJ Travis! His planning sheet was fun to fill out and let us mark exactly what songs we wanted for every part of the wedding processional/recessional, first dance, cake cutting, bouquet toss, etc. etc. We also got to compile a list of songs we definitely wanted played at the wedding and songs that we definitely did NOT want played. Further, a list of group dances was provided to choose from! For every song we could write specific notes, versions, etc. and we even had a final planning meeting to go over all of the details. We even got to choose the level of which he interacted with guests or encouraged people to dance and more. Essentially, if you fill out the sheet, DJ Travis will meet all your requests to the best of his abilities. He sure did for our wedding and we were extremely satisfied with our choice!

Turnt all the way up!!

Working with Olivia and Travis was an all around great experience from the start. Extremely professional, helpful and more than responsive. They were a delight to work with and Olivia answered any and all questions leading up to the day before my wedding. Travis was our DJ and absolutely KILLED it at the wedding. From the ceremony through the reception. Amazing music. He kept the crowd going all night and was on time at all points. We have nothing but great things to say. I will hands down use them again if we have another event.

We would highly recommend Fonix and DJ Travis for your big day!
Communication prior to the day was great! We had a few phone conferences with DJ Travis, and he made sure he knew EXACTLY what kind of DJ we were looking for our day..and delivered just that 100%.
The planning forms they provided for us to fill out prior to helped ensure we got the exact songs/versions we wanted for the ceremony and different things throughout the reception (cake cutting, garter toss, etc.)
Once the dance floor opened at the reception, it stayed full the entire night. He did a fantastic job keeping the party going, and we had multiple people comment on how fun the wedding was, and how great DJ Travis did.
If you're looking for a good time at your wedding for you and all your guests, Fonix Entertainment and DJ Travis is the way to go!

We booked Travis as our DJ & Olivia coordinated our day. Travis was awesome with requests, had the clean music we needed for our reception, and kept everyone on the dance floor! He didn't talk to much lije I've experienced at friends' weddings. Olivia kept the day running great! Have already recommended to my friends for their wedding next year!

We booked Fonix Entertainment for our Wedding on December this year and we had a blast! DJ Travis was so easy to work with! He had the dance floor full the moment we opened it. Booking Fonix Entertainment was the best decision we made for our Day of Coordination! Our Wedding was 3 months ago but it's been stuck in my mind with how many times Olivia saved me on the Day of! I had chosen a Hair Stylist who wasn't truthful about her timeline of me getting my hair done. Somehow 12pm finished time turned to 3pm, the time I was supposed to walk down the aisle! Olivia was able to find someone the moment I called her crying and not only was Olivia's back up super professional, she did a better job than who I chose. My pictures before the Ceremony never happened but Olivia managed to get me to do a First Look with my husband and have us walk down the aisle on time! She also managed to get us extra time for our pictures after the Ceremony as well, so we ended up getting all the pictures we were hoping for and managed to work with all of the vendors to stay an additional 30 minutes at no extra cost to us so we can have some extra dance time as well. I couldn't have asked for a better Day of Coordinator, she was more like a Fairy Godmother making my day become a true dream!

DJ JJ is where it is at!!! He is AMAZING! We received SO many complements on the music. We had specific rules regarding what kind of music we did and did not want played at the wedding, and he did EXACTLY what we asked. He is a the real deal, shows up with turn tables and proper equipment. We LOVED him, and he definitely kept the partying going and the dance floor full all night. I HIGHLY recommend him! I used Fonix Entertainment for my wedding in August and I am so glad I did! Originally, I had booked Olivia for my Month of Coordination and she kept me so organized from the moment I booked her. Having her be by my side helped a lot too as I had my Maid of Honor, Mom and Mother-in-Law neck at neck with their opinions of what I should do. The best way to put it, is Olivia, become my voice of reason and anchor. After booking her, I got input on booking one of Fonix Entertainment's DJs and we booked Travis. He was so much fun and really listened to us about what we were looking for in a Wedding DJ! We spent more than what we had anticipated with both the DJ and Coordinator BUT we are so glad we did as Olivia also helped us out with creating a budget for us and actually kept us under budget by a few hundred dollars! Total bonus! To this day, we are still having guests come up to us telling us how much fun they had at our wedding! If I could do it all over again, I would and still book Fonix Entertainment, no question asked!

Travis was so much fun to work with and was a blessing on our wedding day! He was so detail oriented during our Final Planning meeting making sure everything was perfect for our day! On our wedding day he had the dance floor full till the end of the night. He even was flexible and quick at problem solving as there was a miscommunication with our venue providing music for our Ceremony but he helped us out without hesitation! Working with the Fonix Team was always a breeze from the moment I sent in my inquiry to the very end we DJ Travis was congratulating me and my husband at our Grand Exit! I highly suggest anyone looking for a DJ to hire Fonix Entertainment especially Travis aka DJ Fonix! Having a true Club DJ who already had a fan base at our wedding definitely won me some extra brownie points with my husband!

We used DJ JJ for our wedding in October and had a super amazing time! The company was amazing to work with and really dialed into what we really liked for our special day! The Planning Forms Fonix Entertainment gave us to pick our music was really easy to use and having our Final Planning Meeting with JJ really put us at ease. We heard about Fonix Entertainment through a friend who had gotten married 2 years ago, so we decided to reach out to them about their availability. From the very first conversation, Travis and his team were extremely responsive and flexible in arranging times to hash out the details of our wedding, despite both of our very busy schedules! He suggested we have JJ as our wedding DJ, and we couldn't have been happier with JJ's performance come wedding night! Not only did he keep our dance floor packed, but he also managed to find and seamlessly interweave an older song that the mother-in-law was so excited to have played! He was beyond easy to work with, extremely professional, and played almost every one of my favorite songs (without me even telling him) thanks to the planning sheets! We had our wedding at a restaurant that JJ had never DJ'ed at before, but he worked side by side with the restaurant team to ensure that our night went as smoothly as possible. I really cannot thank him enough for making our wedding night so incredibly fun and laid back as possible!!

DJ Kenton was wonderful! He was so sweet and responsive to our suggestions and requests. He kept our guests on the dance floor all night. The pre-planning forms and phone calls from Fonix were so helpful and ensured everything would run smoothly on the big day. No complaints here. For me, the music really does make the reception, and we had so many guests telling us what a wonderful time they had and how much they enjoyed the music.

We used JJ as the DJ for our wedding and could not be more pleased with his performance. Fonix, with their extensive checklist and music selection forms really get a feel for exactly the type of music you like and are able to turn that into the perfect wedding reception. Our music was arranged down to the beats per minute to keep the mood intimate during dinner and then to gradually ramp up the energy for the party! We were worried, since most of our guest list was older, that no one would dance but he played the perfect mix of songs that kept the dance floor filled all night with guests of all ages!

When my wife and I were planning our wedding, this was the first choice we made. Fonix Entertainment and DJ JJ did an excellent job 3 years ago at my sister's wedding and we knew they would be great at ours. We were not disappointed. The professionalism, pricing transparency and flexibility to work with us were exceptional.

But, most of all, I appreciated their ability to take general direction and use their professional experience to make some of the small decisions. We wanted uplighting in our venue, which they provided at the last minute with no additional input from us. It looked wonderful and didn't require me or my wife to make a decision on where to place each individual light.

Other times, when there was something specific we wanted, they were able to accommodate without question. My Dad and I danced to a Phish song that he provided the MP3 for and JJ uploaded a week before without any problems.

Really and truly, I cannot recommend them highly enough.

We had a mix of guests from ages 13-72 and JJ had them ALL on the dance floor. Our intimate wedding of 35 was a blast!!!! I personally don't believe I left the dance floor and it was because the music mix was well done!

We could not be happier with the service provided by Fonix and our DJ, DJ Spy. We interviewed multiple companies and felt comfortable with Fonix after the meeting and a recommendation from a friend. Both Travis and Jonathon (DJ Spy) took time with us and talk about every detail of the big day to make sure it was perfect, WOW did they ever come through for us. Most of our vendors performed well on our day and DJ Spy was definitely at the top of the list. With bad weather he was even thrown a curve ball when he showed up that he would have to be a quick setup as the ceremony was going to have to take place in the same room as the reception with a storm approaching. It was not ideal with short notice but you could never tell he had a rushed setup. All of his equipment and the up lights were setup and looking amazing by the time the reception began. With this little hitch Travis showed up at the event to make sure we were happy with how it turned out. I couldn't believe the service. As I told Travis that night "This is what we asked for and more." Seriously great quality and DJ spy was amazing. Performed all the announcements we needed, all of the music was queued up perfectly, and even accommodated my sister's karaoke/rap performance with giving her the correct music at the last second. The dance floor was PACKED all night as we asked it to be and our friends are still talking about how amazing everything was a month and a half later. I am telling anyone who asks for a DJ to contact Fonix, seriously went above and beyond and for a good price. You can tell from the beginning all the way up to and through your big day that they take pride in their work and want your day to be great.
Thank you Travis and Jonathon for making our reception memorable and one heck of a party!

We got married on May 3 at the Georgian club and Travis was an absolutely amazing DJ. He knew we wanted it to be a party, and that is what it was for sure!!! The dancing never stopped and 2 months later I am still getting compliments daily! Everyone had so much fun we even extended the wedding an extra 30 minutes! The up lighting and monogram were breathtaking! I am thrilled we booked Fonix so far ahead of time... our wedding wouldn't have been the same without Travis!! Thank you SO much!

I researched tons of different vendors so after researching eight different DJs, I chose Travis Gilbert with Fonix Entertainment for my wedding day and am completely happy that I did. Travis was the only vendor that I had that really took the time to plan out every little detail of my wedding. From the in-person meetings to his extensive online planning form to his responsive and prompt emails and phone calls answering any questions that I had, Travis really understood my needs and was extremely knowledgeable in helping me plan my wedding. Travis chose perfect music for the cocktail hour, dinner and wedding reception. He understood the vibe that I wanted for each segment and chose songs that were perfect for each. He was also able to choose perfect songs for all age groups so we had everyone dancing the entire night. Travis was very interactive with the crowd and made everything run smoothly throughout the entire reception. My venue also looked beautiful with the uplighting that he provided. Choosing the right DJ is one of the most important things you can do for your wedding. It really determines the entire mood and flow of the event. I’m thankful that I had a knowledgeable, skilled and experienced DJ to really lead the crowd and make all of the appropriate announcements to make my wedding absolutely perfect. I have a few friends that are interested in using Travis as their DJ for their own wedding after experiencing his services at mine. My husband and I have been to many a wedding and therefore, have experienced our fair share of wedding DJs throughout the years. We had a good idea of what to expect and decided to go with Travis (DJ Fonix) from Fonix Entertainment due to several high recommendations. He was extremely organized and on top of things and made the reception completely seamless. We had given him ideas of the kind of music we wanted played for the cocktail hour, dinner and the dance party and he NAILED IT! Maybe he just jived with our preferences but I think he truly listened to what we wanted and was happy to make the night about us (rather than showboating or trying to be in the spotlight). The energy throughout the entire reception remained high and there was never a time that the dance floor wasn’t packed! I even received multiple compliments (one from a professional dancer friend of ours) at the bar after the reception about how fun the dancing portion of the reception was. Travis was great at gauging the energy and keeping it high!! Not only was the music perfection, his set-up looks less amateur than a lot of wedding djs I have seen. He actually takes into consideration the fact that we, as brides, plan these gorgeous reception spaces which look less sleek due to the djs speakers and equipment. All of his speakers are covered nicely and appear more glam than other set ups I have seen. He also provided our uplighting which added the perfect amount of ambiance and romance to the already gorgeous tent. Overall, I would recommend him HIGHLY to anyone who is looking for a wedding dj!!!

Since my dad had recently injured his hip, I asked JJ to cut the father/daughter, mother/son song short. He did so without anyone noticing, which was perfect! DJ Kenton provided the entertainment at our wedding and did a great job with a crowd that was quite diverse. With an even more diverse musical playlist request that ranged from The Doors to James Brown to Katie Perry (for dance-off purposes only) he killed it and i would definitely suggest using him and Fonix Entertainment for any event. Many DJs tend to just hit play but you could easily tell he was very observant of the room and what was, and MOST importantly, what was not working. We saw people who we known for over 30 years that refuse to touch the dance floor...just shakin it out on the dance floor, hamstrings and hips be damned. Beautiful night and Fonix & Kenton were a big part of making that happen!

Travis was a fun and energetic DJ and everyone was dancing even before they were supposed to start dancing! He seemed to care a lot and that showed through in his work. Everyone danced the night away and I couldn't ask for anything more in a DJ!!

Travis was awesome!! I would highly recommend Fonix Entertainment!! My husband and I are huge music lovers thus we were extremely picky when it came to finding wedding music. After looking at countless other DJ's we were recommended to Fonix. Travis played all the music we requested, timed everything perfectly, had just the right amount of personality during the reception (the last thing we wanted was a corny DJ) and really got our guests on the dance floor! He read the crowd and knew exactly what type of music to play to keep all ages interested and dancing. Travis is an actual trained DJ and knows how to do a lot more than play weddings and it totally shows! He is also very responsive and easy to get in touch with during planning. Their online system to choose your music was SO easy! Travis is the MAN!!!!

Art was our DJ and he was amazing! We did an atypical wedding celebration, as we had eloped a month prior. He was great about being flexible to meet our needs. He kept everyone dancing, and hit all of our 'must plays'. I had a blast, and would HIGHLY recommend them. ART was AWESOME!!!

I am so impressed by Fonix -- they were perfect. We had so much fun at the reception and Kenton was great at reading the crowd, going with the flow, and included every song we wanted. He even got the feel from us during the pre-meeting and when he needed to be flexible, he could do it knowing what we would like and what we wouldn't. I'm impressed at the level of detail that this company goes into in order to learn about your preferences and the details of your wedding/reception. It does take some time on the bride/groom to fill out the paperwork but worth the effort because they can then deliver 5 star services. We had a blast, we danced, we laughed, they totally exceeded my expectations.

We are so happy that we had Travis from Fonix Entertainment as our wedding DJ for both the ceremony and reception. He was incredibly helpful and detailed when it came to the planning process, so on our wedding day everything went seamlessly. He did a fantastic job of having people on the dance floor all night, and we loved the music he chose to get people dancing. Travis did an amazing job as our DJ! We really could not have asked for a better DJ to help us celebrate our big day. From the first meeting at a Starbucks to the final planning meeting the week of the weeding, Travis did everything he promised and more. He really helped us decide what songs to play and saved a lot of back and forth between me and my future wife over what music to play. The website was very easy to use and was a big plus in helping us plan out our big day! The day of the wedding, Travis really acted as our wedding coordinator and made sure everything kept to schedule. He did a great job mixing in music that people of all ages would like and really kept the party going all night! We are lucky to have found him and couldn't have asked for a better DJ!

DJ JJ did a wonderful job at our wedding! We had a few random requests for our wedding, and he nailed them all perfectly! We met him before the wedding and it was obvious from that point that he knows what he is doing, and from then on we were confident it would all go as planned. He had a great Bossa Nova playlist, which is what we asked if he could play during dinner. We didn't know what to expect when we asked him that, but he was into it! We also watched him buy the specific ceremony and first dance songs that we requested that he didn't already have, so it was comforting to know he had the exact right version.
My only suggestion for future wedding planners working with Fonix would be to remember sometimes a more involved DJ is better. We chose "Semi-Interactive" as how we wanted him to participate. But now I think I would move that up just a hair so that he was on the mic a little more giving out words of encouragement to get on the dance floor etc. Again, nothing they did wrong! Just a different decision I would have made. I highly recommend Fonix!!

I highly recommend Fonix Entertainment! Travis was the D.J. for our wedding at the Fox Theatre and we thought he was fantastic! We truly were so happy with him that we were talking about it even after we got back from our honeymoon. Travis was always available when we needed him. Before the wedding if you called him he would always call you back the same day. The Monday before the wedding we had our last meeting about the music and uplighting for the wedding. Travis had great suggestions and spent 2 hours with me helping me pick out music to make our event what we wanted it to be. At the actual wedding our friends and family never left the dance floor and the uplighting looked amazing! You can tell Travis is very committed to what he does and that he enjoys his job. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for a D.J. for their event or wedding!

WOW! What can I say about Fonix Entertainment! The entire planning process was fantastic, then we get to the reception and JJ was phenomenal! I am still getting phone calls from guests saying it was the best wedding they had been to. Our reception was exactly what we wanted, a big party that no one would want to leave! The online planner made it so easy for my husband and I to pick out specific songs that we wanted, and exactly when we wanted them to be played. They offer a "must play" list for the reception, and JJ made sure that each of those special songs were played! I cannot say enough great things about this company, we had a wonderful experience from planning to the last dance, and we will always cherish the memories we have from our big day thanks to Fonix and JJ!!!

Travis and DJ Kenton were very easy to work with and did a great job on my wedding! Being able to meet with them beforehand was a huge help and they really listened to what I wanted. DJ Kenton did a great job and got a ton of guests out on the dance floor! He did the wobble with us which was great. We have several friends who are getting married in the next year and they asked Kenton for his card at the wedding because they liked him so much. No one can hold together a stellar wedding party like Travis can at Fonix Entertainment! We had a crazy wedding day and Travis got many many complements the next day to us from guests at the event. Travis at Fonix Entertainment was very easy to work with and extremely accessible during the planning process, which was quite helpful for an out-of-town bride. The planning website they provide with samples of hundreds of thousands of songs was amazing. JJ was our DJ and we fell in love with his enthusiasm the moment we met him :) We were concerned initially about the not being able to hear the ceremony in the outside garden and then, because of the rain, we were concerned about an echoey banquet hall which was our rain location for the ceremony. He very quickly put our questions to rest because his expertise was so apparent; we trusted his judgement completely. We never heard what he did or how he adjusted but the sound quality was perfect, which is no surprise. He was a lot of fun, read the crowd appropriately and kept the dance floor humming, juggled music requests, and was a great presence as an emcee. Our families and wedding party were impressed and we will definitely recommend JJ and Fonix Entertainment to anyone!

JJ was a wonderful DJ who kept everyone dancing all night! I have one memory especially that really exemplifies what a great DJ JJ is. My 85 year old grandfather, who is recovering from a stroke, decided, with no warning to anyone, that he was going to have the 3rd dance. JJ was able to select and play an appropriately touching song on the fly. And he even cut it a bit short so that it wasn't too long for my grandfather to stand up and dance to. Without a professional like JJ this special moment that I will always cherish wouldn't have been possible. Thank you JJ!

DJ Travis with Fonix Entertainment was FANTASTIC!!!! His process leading up to the event is very thorough and easy. He was always the constant professional. Not only does he handle and read the crowd with perfection, but he also adapts to any changes or bumps in the road that may happen in at the event, so that none of your guests will be any the wiser to anything that may have happened. The fact that DJ Travis was able to get my now husband on the dance floor and having fun, is a true testament to his services and abilities.

Many will tell you that the music at your wedding reception can make or break the event and they'd be right. We hit the jackpot with DJ Travis from Fonix! Our dance floor was packed from start to finish and we couldn't be happier with our experience.

From the very beginning, Travis took the time to listen and fully understand what we wanted for both our ceremony and reception. The online planning tools helped ensure the songs we wanted to hear were played and those we didn't want, weren't. During our final planning meeting, Travis helped us decide between different versions of some of the more classical songs for our ceremony and also went over every detail of our planning form to ensure there were no surprises on the day of our wedding.

Kenton was our DJ with Fonix Entertainment. At the first meeting Travis and Kenton took the time to listen to what we wanted and give their suggestions based on our ideas. It was very clear how passionate they are about their jobs and it definitely came through at our wedding as well. The dance floor was full from beginning to end. Cocktail hour and dinner music was perfect. I also highly recommend their uplights for added dramatic effect during the reception. It totally transformed the reception room and looked wonderful in pictures. Kenton was so much fun to have at our wedding. We've had many people comment, not only on the great music, but the DJ himself. He was polite when talking with our guests and I don't think he stopped smiling the whole night! Travis Gilbert, owner of Fonix Entertainment, was the dj for my ceremony and reception. He was absolutely amazing! Travis met with me during our initial contract signing appointment and was very professional from the start. He offered suggestions for songs to be played before my ceremony based on how I described I wanted my ceremony atmosphere to be. In addition, Foxix Entertainment offers its clients online planning forms! It's so easy to pick and choose songs you want played for your ceremony and reception. The online planning forms also include a list of top songs by category (00's, 90's, 70's, 50's, first dance songs, father daughter songs, etc) and you can simply browse the lists and add them to your planning forms. Travis also accomodated my desire to have the chorus of certain songs played for each bridal party member as they were introduced into the reception. It was a big hit! Travis kept my guests dancing the entire night! Travis also has amazing equipment! He brings "scrims" as part of his set up that displays colors that match your wedding colors! A botched scheduler at another DJ company led us to Fonix's door. And you know what? I'm glad. We met up with Travis and our DJ, JJ, and after one meeting we knew we had the right DJ for the job.

Prior to the ceremony, there's an online form to fill out that covers every possible base. What kinds of songs, any special details... There's so much there, neatly organized, and I was thankful for it. I'd never have thought about a lot of those! A couple weeks prior, JJ called to verify information and nail it all down so we could all be on the same page. The team is very thorough and I really appreciated all the time and effort Travis and JJ put into making sure we had everything planned out.

JJ worked very well with not only us but the entire vendor team. He fit right in with the other vendors who already knew one another from working together so often. He listened to the crowd very well, playing a good variety of music. All of our guests complimented us on our musical selection whether they were younger or older, which says a lot! JJ chose fantastic oldies and classics before getting into the dance tunes (even tossing in a few hair band selections for yours truly). My travel-minded friends doubled over with laughter when JJ playing the National Geographic theme song to announce our honeymoon plans to Antarctica. Overall he did a wonderful job providing all the music to keep the celebration hopping all night!

I would highly recommend JJ since we personally worked with him, but if JJ was that good, I can't imagine the others are bad. If you're in the midst of wedding planning and want an excellent DJ or even planning a birthday party and want to get the music going, check out Fonix Entertainment. The pricing is a total steal for the quality and level of service you get, bar none.

Travis was my wedding DJ for 10-26-12 and I could not have made a better decision. Halfway through my wedding planning, my other DJ I had booked cancelled on me. It goes without saying that Travis is a topnotch DJ. He did an excellent job managing the pace of our wedding reception and keeping everybody on the dance floor. What puts him and his team into 5-star territory, though, is the guidance they offered well before we walked down the aisle. The online tool Fonix uses was a great help in thinking through our playlist and organizing our ceremony & reception, and Travis was always available for a quick call for song recommendations, day-of planning advice, and any other questions we could throw at him.

The ceremony music flowed flawlessly without missing a beat and the reception music made even our 91 year old grandparents get up and hit the dance floor. He also did a wonderful job being the master of ceremonies and keeping everyone informed of what was happening throughout the evening. We all had a fantastic time and would recommend Fonix Entertainment to anyone looking for a fun DJ who knows how to keep the party going.

DJ Kenton with Foniz Entertainment was AMAZING. All through the night and the next day people were, some still are, talking about how great our DJ was. The dance floor was packed all night and though we didn't get to hear all of the cocktail and dinner selections because we were in another room, everyone said it was phenomenal.

The quality of his selections our evident in the guest distribution at our event. We had indoor and outdoor space, but the dancing was outside. When you would go inside, it was almost completely empty because everyone was outside dancing. The guys also decided to do a surprise dance for the bride at the last minute and Kenton's split second song selection couldn't have more perfectly fit the dance.
Fonix Entertainment have great planning sheets, unlimited consultation time, and ridiculous amounts of music to choose from; also, if they don't have a song you want, they will get it for you without any extra fees. We absolutely made the right decision in booking Kenton for our DJ and would do it again.

On a side note, their uplighting package was a phenomenal extra decision that tied our event and venue together and looked so amazing that we had multiple wedding crasher attempts.

If I could give one word for Fonix Entertainment it would be AMAZING! I got married August 4th and Travis was the DJ. I have never enjoyed music and entertainment as much as I did having Fonix Entertainment. I went to a bridal show almost two hours away from home and found this DJ service. Working with Dj Travis from Fonix Entertainment was overall a great experience. He always responded within 24 hours in reference to whatever question I might've had. He was always professional and very helpful. The night of my wedding everything went so smooth and EVERYONE was out on the dance floor! DJ Travis was a really good sport on getting on the dance floor and showing everyone how to do the Cupid Shuffle :)
He still needs to learn THE WOBBLE though! Haha.... He's awesome and would strongly recommend his services.
If you are paying for a DJ, a DJ is definitely NOT something you want to go cheap on. I cut a lot of corners (did my own programs, place cards, Save the Dates and wedding invitations), but DJ and Photography are 2 of the details that were very important to me and I didn't hesitate to splurge on them. Everyone had a great time. I felt like Fonix Entertainment were reasonably priced & the quality of service is exceptional. DJ TRAVIS made the Party!!!

As a wedding coordinator, I had worked with Fonix many times and have always been impressed. So when it came time for me to walk down the aisle, there was no doubt in my mind about who I wanted behind the microphone! I cannot stress the importance of a good DJ for your wedding day, they can make or break the event with their enthusiasum and song choices faster then the drop of a hat. Travis was flawless, easy to work with, and an absolute blast! My family and friends all commented on how great he was at introductions, announcements, and most important of all, judging the crowd and their reactions to the music. Fonix Entertainment was excellent! Travis is extremely professional and will help you through the whole processes, their customer service really helped to make our event memorable. I love that they have a website that you can go on and select music to play and not to play. They will even download and add music that isn't on their list! For example, I really wanted disney music to be played at my ceremony, they did it and it was so special! Kenton was our DJ and he was awesome, very professional, fun and really good at his job. We received tons of compliments from friends and family at how great our dj was! I would use them again for another event!

Using Fonix Entertainment for our wedding was a great experience all around. Travis was top notch when it came to putting it all together for us. The online planner was easy to use and very helpful. Chris and I felt our DJ Carl was a perfect fit for us from the get go and my family could not stop raving on how well he did. I spent 80% of my wedding on the dance floor if that tells you anything. We are very glad we decided to go above our budget for their services and will admit Fonix Entertainment is worth every penny. Five stars all the way for us and especially for Carl. If ever anyone is looking for a DJ we will without a doubt recommend Fonix Entertainment, matter of fact we might be using them each year for Cinco De Mayo when we celebrate our wedding anniversary.

Where do I start and what could I possibly say that would even start to describe the professionalism of Travis Gilbert. From day one (almost a year ago), he made us feel at ease. Not only is the pricing very reasonable for what you're getting, but Travis was always there for any advice (even if it wasn't DJ related), someone to vent to, and even went out of his way to help find a backup when the original photographer fell thru. Travis provided uplighting for the event as well, which made all the difference in the world. The place was simply AMAZING! Everyone kept talking about how the DJ kept the music going and what a professional sounding DJ voice he has :-) He never missed a beat, had every single song down and played at the exact moment it was supposed to be, and he kept the party going till the event ended. Travis was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was very responsive, professional and went out of his way to accommodate our requests. We needed Spanish and Indian music and he acquired them all without any questions. He also takes his time with clients, we never felt like he was rushing. At the wedding he was on point with everything and made sure that we stayed on track with our agenda. Travis was our DJ and he was excellent. He was great on helping me with suggestions on songs for the wedding ceremony and also for the reception. It was nice to have his input! He is very professional and makes sure that he touches base with the venue in order for everybody to be on the same schedule! He wants to make sure that your reception runs smoothly! He had a great selection of music on hand. I am a University of Tennessee graduate and it was amazing that he just happened to have rocky top in his library of music on hand!

DJ Travis was a true professional from the start. He arranged a meet and greet and outlined EVERYTHING we needed to know about the details of our wedding. Travis did the music for the wedding ceremony as well as the reception. He has an awesome website that you can log into and update any of the musical details he will need for the big day. At the last minute we asked him if he could do the music for our cocktail hour that was in a seperate room and he happily accomodated our request. He was the highlight of the reception. He got everyone up and out of their seats and was a wonderful MC. I cannot recommend him more highly. His props and lighting for backdrop made the dancefloor look amazing! There were some things that we just couldn't decide on for music and Travis was right there to make suggestions that we loved.

Travis did a great job. We planned the wedding ourselves and his input on planning the timeline was excellent! We also did not plan out our entire music timeline. We selected about 2 hours worth of songs and let him run the show based on input from us about what types of music we liked. Definitely the DJ to go with in Atlanta or anywhere!

Travis was our DJ and he made the whole entertainment aspect of the wedding easy and better than I thought it was going to be. We met and consulted about the wedding itself, the music to be played and the general vibe/atmosphere we wanted to have. The website was easy to follow and helped us develop a timeline for the wedding, something else I wasn't looking forward to but that tool was a big help. On the big day, Travis was there on time and had everything set up just as planned. He was on queue with all of the songs during the ceremony and the reception was a total party! We had a great time with him as he got the crowd involved at times and played the music the crowd was reacting to. I would definitely recommend them to anyone and their services made our big day that much more special and less stressful!

Travis was awesome. He was friendly & professional. He was the DJ for my wedding & I told him I'd be upset if no one danced, so he really got everyone moving (despite having a large span of ages on the dance floor). He is a real DJ. Fonix Entertainment did a phenomenal job for us. They really treated us like partners in the planning process; my wife and I felt like Travis and JJ really heard and understood what we wanted (even though we didn't quite know it ourselves!). The reception itself could not have been better - we had a tricky mix of younger and older folks, and JJ managed to have everybody on the dance floor the entire night. Travis was AMAZING! From beginning to end, he was always in contact with us and was willing to work with us and our schedules since we live in a different state than where our wedding was held. He was always very professional and had great ideas! We had and are still receiving constant compliments about how great he was and how much fun everyone had. He was great at communicating with all of our other vendors and with us at the wedding. We had decided the day of our wedding to change the order of our entrance/opening the buffet/dances so that we wouldn't be away from our guests for so long and he was wonderful and getting everyone on the same page and had awesome suggestions on the order that we should do everything. We worked with Travis and Chris Hall to prepare entertainment for our Vietnamese/American wedding at Spring Hall. Travis helped us put our music selection and timeline together up to the wedding day. We met up with Travis about 3x and contacted over phone/email numerous times. We usually received a response pretty quickly (within a few minutes).

Chris was our DJ and we thought he did an excellent job with our wedding entertainment (cocktail music and reception activities). Even though our reception started an hour later (which is just the nature of Asian weddings), he was able to do all of the wedding activities we had planned (cake cutting, dances, garter toss, photo montage, circle of love, farewell song) before 11pm! We saw some of the post-wedding pictures and everyone dancing had either party beads, glowsticks or sunglasses that Chris' assistant passed out. The highlight of the reception for me was when my hubby and I walked in and Chris played AC/DC (TNT) at the cue (cause I'm TNT, I'm dynamite!). We received a lot of comments that people had a lot of fun (even without a live band). This was all due to the help of Travis and Chris.

Basically, if you choose Fonix Entertainment then the entertainment needs for your wedding will be handled professionally (the least stressful part of the wedding planning) and you'll have a reception that people will have a great time at.

One thing I'd like to mention, if you plan to have a translator work with the DJ, put their table right next to the DJ table. We had a candy buffet and had tons of candy left-over! Apparently, our older vietnamese guests didn't understand what that was about, which is ok, more candy for us to take home!

JJ was our DJ and he was WONDERFUL!!!! There was a bit of a mix-up on our end and he totally managed the wedding like everything was perfect! We had an absolute blast at the wedding and JJ did a fantastic job. All of the guests complimented the music and I think everything was a big hit. One thing I really did appreciate that he did was keep his finger on the pulse of the event, even if it was against what I initially said I wanted. Despite it being on the DO NOT PLAY list, some guests kept asking him to play the Electric Slide. Instead of just saying no over and over, he found an appropriate moment to ask us if it was OK to play. We were having such a great time and ended up giving in, and everyone hit the dance floor as soon as it was on. Guess that’s where I just needed to trust the experts sometimes!

Anyway, JJ’s professionalism and taste shone through and he was definitely one of the most important people to make everything come together the way we had envisioned. Great job!

If you say "HO!" when someone yells "Party People Say HO!!" then you want Fonix Entertainment for your wedding or party, particularly if you can score DJ Travis.

Our wedding reception was absolutely thumping with people shaking it all night long. Non-stop excellent music that made you have to choose when to sneak off and get a quick drink so you could get back to the party. There were no duds - it was 100% party rockin'.

No need to look elsewhere - this guy is the best I've ever heard at a wedding.

Travis really excelled when it came to providing the entertainment and music for wedding on 8/27/11. He knew the venue, knew our wedding coordinator and really gelled with her when it came to running the evening. And his web planning tool and planning sessions really pinpointed all the music my bride and I wanted as well as NOT playing what we didn't want and keeping the party going. I thought he went above and beyond by specially cutting some of our unique requests for special dance songs through out our special day. Great for our generally younger crowd too!

Travis and Fonix Entertainment recently did our wedding. Travis was amazing to work with and an incredible DJ! A surprise rainstorm threatened to ruin our outdoor wedding, but Travis remained calm and flexible and worked with us to provide incredible music for both our ceremony and reception. I had the pleasure of having Travis as the DJ for my wedding. I choose Travis since he had an aura of professionalism and high quality that other DJs I saw lacked.

He was very flexible with appointments and worked with our busy schedule in order to make sure he had everything needed to make our special day special. Even gave some great recommendations for some of the wedding day activities (garter toss, cake cutting, etc.) that we didn't have any good ideas for. The online planning form is a great touch and allows both parties to make sure that everything will go as planned.

When it came to the actual day, Travis made it seem almost easy. He was energetic, kept the guests dancing and the dance floor full, played all of our requests, and made sure that planned events went through on-time. Travis is highly recommended as he made sure that everyone has a great time and even check up on us a couple of times to see if we needed anything. If you need a DJ, you can't go wrong with Travis and Fonix Entertainment.
