We were lucky that Dan was one of the preferred vendors on our venue's list. Finding him to do our flowers was finding a jackpot. Since I live out of state, I had an initial call with him and we emailed some photos back and forth while on the phone. I got such a great vibe from him and could tell that he immediately understand what we wanted that I decided right away to secure his services for our wedding. Later on, we had him do a sample centerpiece since we were doing something kind of specific and wanted to make sure it looked right. It was absolutely beautiful and he duplicated his beautiful work on the wedding day. I could go on and on, but I'll wrap up my review with this... if you're looking for a florist in the LA area, hire Dan. He knows what he's doing, is incredibly sweet and a pleasure to work with, and will make your wedding flowers gorgeous and one less thing to worry about.

Flowers By Dan is amazing!!!

Flowers By Dan was the florist for our wedding at Millwick and they did a beautiful job! Dan was incredible to work with and exceeded all of our expectations. You can tell he really cares, puts his heart into his work and made our wedding day so special and unforgettable. Dan's breathtaking designs tied our whole wedding together and still have our guests raving about how gorgeous our flowers were. Thank you a million times Flower By Dan!!!

Blew us away!!!

Dan is an amazing person and an absolute artist with flowers!! He made our wedding absolutely beautiful!! He thought of things I didn't even dream possible. He created the perfect setting for our wedding. We felt he actually took the time to get to know us to help create that feel.

Dan was a pleasure to work with from Day 1 when I met him. He listened closely to what I wanted and needed and cared about making it work with my budget. He also provided a beautifully made Chuppah for my ceremony, complete with its own uplights. It looked amazing.
He is excellent with communication as well, which helped ease my mind. He is a kind and caring individual with decades of experience behind him. I super-duper highly recommend him for your wedding. Thanks so much Dan!

Dan did a great job on our flowers. I didn’t give him much to go on outside of knowing I wanted cool colors, love a good Iris, and didn’t want anything overly tall for our centerpieces. He helped me pick out my flowers and recommended adding decor to several stairway arches that ended up being my favorite part of our floral decor. I loved that he stayed conscious of my budget and worked hard to give me the most bang for my buck. Our guests really loved what he came up with and we kept hearing about how lovely it was all night!

What can I say about Dan besides for he's absolutely amazing! The most talented florist I have come across. We were honored to have Dan do the flowers for our wedding at the Sephardic Temple on Wilshire. He put his heart and soul into making our wedding simply breath taking, and it was his pleasure to do. Everywhere we looked, there were flowers and they were so so gorgeous!!! His pricing is amazing and he is just a lovely guy to work with. What an honor it has been for us to have his talent at our wedding. He made creative, classy, and gorgeous arrangements!! I could keep raving about him, but I will end this review by saying if you are looking for a wedding florist... look no further. Dan will give his all to your wedding, communicate so professionally and just put so much passion into your event!

I initially contact Dan because he was a preferred vendor from our venue. I could tell from our first meeting why. Dan is very friendly and very experienced at his craft. Since he does events at my venue often, he had tons of photos of centerpieces, aisle decor, and ceremony and reception floral arrangements. I didn't have to imagine anything. Short, tall, simple, elaborate...you name it, and Dan can make it. In addition to flowers, we had Dan do the aisle decor. It turned out beautifully and we got several compliments about his work. Because of his vast knowledge of flowers, Dan was able to work with my budget while keeping my vision. He didn't try to up-sell me on anything and was more than fair in discussing prices and options. I was able to provide my own vases and dropped them off with my final payment about a week before the wedding. We had our DJ give away the centerpieces at the end of the night and some guests were excited to take home such a lovely arrangement. Dan was prompt with set up and even personally pinned all of the groomsmen and fathers boutineers on. After the ceremony, Dan stuck around to make sure flowers were transferred to the correct place when the space was flipped for the reception. So, so happy with how it all turned out!

Dan was my favorite vendor for my wedding , he is so sweet and so professional , our family will always use his service from this day on and I hope his daughter follows his footsteps and becomes a Florist. You don't have many business like his these days were they are very personal and so helpful. My flowers were perfect at my reception and he even help me pick out this breathtaking pink colored rose that was perfect. Our cake table was perfect and so was our his and hers table. His price was perfect and very reasonable. Thank you so much Dan for making my reception look so good and smell good as well.

I was extremely pleased with Dan's work. My flowers were hands down one of the best parts of my wedding. And this is coming from someone that thought she wasn't into flowers. I didn't want to waste a lot of time and effort with decor so the flowers were a focal part of the wedding. Corsages and bouts...lovely. Bouquet...perfection. Altar arrangements...magnificent. Centerpieces...amazing. I cannot recommend Dan enough. Trust the reviews. This man is talented!

Dan is amazing. He was wonderful in the run-up to the wedding and very communicative about his vision, and then on the wedding day he absolutely delivered. The ceremony was beautiful, and the way he managed to get all the decorations to the reception without us even noticing was pure magic. A true professional and artist. Flowers by Dan was the first florist we saw, and two weeks later we knew we had to secure him for our wedding. He was easy to talk to and obviously cared about his business. He had a book of photos we could look to and draw inspiration from, he listened to any additions or modifications we might want, and offered suggestions himself to help reach our wishes. Our flowers were simply gorgeous on our wedding day and truly made the day beautiful. On top of that, his prices were extremely reasonable! Thank you, Dan!

Dan was AMAZING! I had pushed meeting with potential florists to the bottom of my wedding-to-do list because I knew nothing about flowers and wasn't very interested. My fiancé and I visited Dan and realized he was our perfect match because he knows EVERYTHING about flowers. I told him where our wedding/reception was going to be held and that our color was 'purple' and he immediately envisioned the rest.

The bouquets were beautiful and the ceremony flowers were so elaborate - we got a lot of compliments!

Most importantly, Dan and his crew were great the day-of. It was raining lightly on and off all afternoon and we struggled in deciding whether to hold our ceremony outdoors as planned, or take it all inside. Dan held-off on setting up flowers until we made our final decision. His team waited patiently and with under an hour left to go, we chose to get married outside and he set the entire outdoor area up in the rain. It still looked beautiful and we have him to thank!

Dan is the absolute best florist any bride could ask for. He is professional, responsive and you can tell her has a passion for what he does. He knew exactly what I wanted and provided great advice when I was unsure. The entire wedding came out more gorgeous than I could have ever dreamed. Dan also did my sister in laws wedding and it was just spectacular. I highly recommend Flowers by Dan. He is reasonably priced and you will be certain that you're wedding flowers will be all that you can imagine and more....

Dan was wonderful to work with. He accommodated us with all of our requests. The flower arrangements were absolutely wonderful. I asked for purple tulips and he delivered purple tulips. All the colors of the flowers were exactly what we would dream of. My husband and I love and adore Dan!

Dan did such an awesome job with my wedding flowers! He had great ideas for flowers that were inexpensive and in season, as well as ways to arrange them that would be beautiful. From day one Dan was extremely professional, humble and flexible with what we needed. He puts his heart in everything that he does and you can see it in his work. Our arrangements were first class and when our coordinator lost our bouquets Dan quickly created new bouquets to save our day. Dan was amazing! Not only was he friendly and knowledgable but he customized his services around what you were looking for. I walked in to his office having no clue what flowers I wanted for my wedding and I walked out feeling 100% confident that Dan was going to make my wedding look amazing. My husband and I decided to have Dan do the flowers for our wedding after the first meeting. He is well connected to the community and knows his business very well! Dan was awesome. The flowers were pretty and fresh. Dan was great to work with. I showed him a picture of my dress and he went from there. I had beautiful centerpieces with lights and rocks in the water. He was friendly and very easy to work with. I even bought some oh my own items and took them to Dan. Dan is the best! Our wedding was a rainy day in November and with everything else that we were stressing about, the flowers were the one thing that we knew we didn't have to worry about at all. Dan was so reliable, responsive, flexible, and so creative! After my husband and I met with him during the planning process, we knew we had found our florist and stopped looking immediately. He was able to create our vision and work with our budget. The flowers were so gorgeous...I especially loved my bouquet! I hired Dan as the florist for my wedding that took place on October 28, 2012 and I feel compelled to comment on his work because I have never seen such beautiful floral arrangements and have gotten so many positive comments about them! He did both my ceremony and reception and it sincerely looked magical. His professionalism and attention to detail is unparalleled. He truly loves and is passionate about what he does and it shows in the final product. Additionally, he gave me the very best quote (and I did A LOT of shopping around) and was still willing to work with me further on the price, which was much appreciated. I am completely positive that I got the best bang for my buck by booking with Flowers by Dan.

Flowers by Dan exceeded any and all of my expectations and then some. I am a very, very picky, organized person (I am a Virgo to boot!) and Dan and his team not only outdid themselves, but also gave more than was expected or originally bargained for. I met with over 10 other florists and chose Dan for a multitude of reasons, but the main point because he knew his stuff backwards and forwards. Dan's pricing is a lot more cost effective than many others out there too!!! My original vision would have looked hidious and Dan was able to explain to me how the different flowers compliment eachother, etc. When I saw my bouquet and the venue and how he decorated it, I was speechless. Dan has been doing this for a long time and knows what he is doing - he gave much, much more than I paid for and did so with a smile. Lastly, my flowers are still beautiful and it's over a week later - - - talk about fresh and long-lasting!!! If you use anyone else other than Dan, you will be sorry. Go with the best - Flowers by Dan!!!

Dan was amazing!!! Dan understood exactly what my husband and I wanted. I was blown away the day of our wedding! I was running late and Dan arranged everything with the venue and told me I did not have to worry about anything, which was an absolute relief to hear on an insanely hectic day. The arrangements were so beautiful I could not have asked for a more amazing, easy to work with florist!!! I would definitely recommend Flowers by Dan!!!

Dan was absolutely amazing! I really can't put into words how professional, creative and kind this man truly is! From the very beginning, he listened to what I was looking for and worked well within my budget. Dan has done events at so many venues that he has a ton of photographs to show every bride. He was incredibly kind and generous and truly went above and beyond to make my wedding the most fabulous that it could ever be. Everytime I contacted him with a question or concern, he responded immediately with the same response, "whatever you want erika, you are going to have a beautiful wedding, whatever you need I will get for you." These are the words every bride should hear when planning her wedding. Moreover, the floural arrangements were set to perfection. No wilting flowers and they were in perfect bloom. The color arrangement matched perfectly with our wedding colors and everyone complimented our floral arrangements. He decorated our gazebo and aisle beautifully. Our head table was filled with flowers as well. I took our flowers home after the wedding and they are still beautiful several days later. The bridal bouquett was beautifully wrapped as well. Before I spoke with Dan, florists gave me high quotes for half of the work that Dan did for our wedding. From our first meeting, I knew he was the florist for us. I was looking for someone who knew flowers and really loved being a florist. It is more than a job, but a profession. Dan is a second generation florist and lives to bring happiness to people's events with his floral arrangements. It is not just a job to him but a mission. He stayed for our wedding and made sure that everything ran beautifully. I highly recommend Flowers by Dan to everyone!

Talk about an excellent dedicated talented florist...Dan is the man! He goes the extra step to make wedding flowers special. My husband and I were married at the beautiful Kyoto Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles April 1st, and found Flowers By Dan as a referral from our photographer, Eugene Photography. The owner, Dan, was very polite and professional over the phone and we had a short conversation about what my vision was and what flowers I liked. When I met Dan, he was extremely friendly and personable. But what really impressed me was that he had put together a sample arrangement of the flowers I mentioned I liked during our phone conversation, and added a couple of new flowers that I loved. There was something very special about seeing the vision for my flowers start to materialize, and it was a wonderful personal touch. We loved Dan’s ideas for our wedding and decided to book him.
Booking Flowers By Dan was one of the best decisions I made throughout my wedding process. His flowers looked PHENOMINAL!! We were blown away. The ceremony flowers were colorful and lush, and perfectly placed on the arch. The reception centerpieces were exquisite and he really nailed our theme of an “Enchanted Forest” on the head. We loved the centerpieces, our guests loved the centerpieces, even the staff of the venue were commenting on how amazing all the floral arrangements were. Hats off to Dan and Flowers By Dan!! He really went above and beyond to make my wedding dream a reality!! I HIGHLY recommend him to any bride or groom looking for a florist.

Flowers by Dan was the best choice my husband and I made for our wedding. We met with Dan and told him we wanted an all white, simple, elegant, classic wedding. When I walked into the wedding venue/reception I almost cried at the beauty that Dan created. He took the direction I gave him almost a year ago, and made our day more beautiful than we ever could have imagined.

Our wedding was held last 10.09.2011 at Calamigos Equestrian - Burbank, CA. Flowers By Dan did an excellent job and exceeded my expectations. Every penny spent was worth it. Some people wouldn't spend on flowers, I say, they should. It completes the wedding and will certainly give you perfect wedding photos. Our wedding was not that big, yet with Dan's creativity, he turned it to a very elegant, and classy wedding venue. Everyone loved the outcome. Coudln't thank Dan enough. He's not only great at what he does, but he's so amazing and pleasant to work with. Very sweet, kind, helpful, sincere and will really help you make your wedding memorable. Dan created the floral arrangements for our daughter's wedding on Labor Day weekend 2011 and we couldn't have been happier with his beautiful work and his delightful personality. We interviewed a number of floral designers before we found Dan. Some of them felt that it was their role to tell us what we wanted and how much we should pay for it. Others either weren't listening to us or just didn't seem to get what we wanted.

Dan listened, confirmed that he understood what we were saying and then showed us pictures of his past work to help clarify that we were all on the same page. More importantly, when we weren't exactly sure of what we wanted, or we weren't exactly clear in describing what was in our heads, Dan was always on the spot with more pictures or even with impromptu arrangements of flowers he had in the studio to help get a clear understanding and agreement on what he was going to create for us.

That said, even with all the pictures and live demos, what Dan delivered to our event exceeded our best expectations in every way. The colors, the variety of the flowers in the arrangements and the sheer beauty of his work was downright breathtaking. We got so many comments from our guests specifically mentioning the beautiful flowers. This was particularly true of the awesome bouquet he made for our daughter (exactly what she wanted) and the very unique centerpieces we wanted. Dan was on time and incredibly helpful and efficient with his set-up. He had the exquisite chuppah up and ready well ahead of photo time, he pinned on all the men's boutonnieres (so they all looked good for the pictures!) and when the pictures went long, he was ready to quickly finish setting up the seating area and aisle before our guests arrived. He even had plenty of extra rose petals for the aisle when the wind kicked up and scattered the original batch! His creativity in repurposing the flowers from the chuppah for the cake table and the sweetheart table was great and I'm sure was one of the reasons why he was able to do everything he did within our budget.

So, would we recommend Dan for your event? Yes -- 150%! He is an artist and a gentleman. That makes him a breeze to work with and a vendor you can trust! When it comes to flowers, Dan's your man!

First, let me start off by saying that Dan is the most amazing person. He puts his heart and soul into making sure that your flowers are amazing for your special occasion. We booked Dan for our wedding on 7-2-11, and our flowers were beyond amazing! They were better than we ever could have imagined. My bouquet was gorgeous, there were petals down the isle that he put down personally, the alter arrangements were absolutely beautiful, the bridesmaids bouquets were amazing...I can go on and on about how much I loved our flowers - they made a wonderful day so much more joyful. He also went completely out of his way to make sure everything was right - he pinned the boutonnieres on all the guys to make sure they were on properly; he made sure all the right people had all the right flowers; he even took our alter arrangements from our ceremony site to our reception site 5 miles down the road! People constantly commented on how beautiful and amazing the flowers were - everyone wanted to take table arrangements home. If you need flowers for an event, or any occasion at all, Flowers by Dan is the place to go. You will be 100% satisfied, and it will be better than you will ever imagine. Dan is an amazing person, and he will make sure that everything is right! Thank you so much Dan for all you did!! Flowers by Dan was recommended to me by my wedding location and as soon as I met Dan I knew I wanted him to do my wedding flowers. Dan is extremely helpful and has a great vision when it comes to decorating tables, gazebos, aisles, bouquets, and more! The words can not express how wonderful Dan is. He is our favorite vendor we had at the wedding. He is so down to earth and mellow. His arrangements were so amazing! I could not have dreamed for more beautiful flowers for my wedding. He promised me the arbor for the ceremony at the country club where I got married would be decorated exactly how I wanted it...and let me tell you..IT was BETTER...The colors of the flowers were breathtaking...

Dan is AMAZING! I had no idea what flowers I wanted for my wedding, I only knew I wanted everything to be breathtaking and for my flowers to just POP! I told Dan my wedding colors and he knew EXACTLY what I needed and wanted. He showed me the different flowers he felt would be perfect for my wedding colors and most importantly, our wedding style. And he couldn't have been more right about EVERYTHING.
Whenever I had a question or needed to talk to him, he ALWAYS responded or called me back immediately. More importantly, he always assured me that he was going to make my wedding special and amazing. That is EXACTLY what he did! Dan and his staff were at my wedding site preparing everything so that it would be ready just in time.

Our wedding was in July and outdoors, and it started to RAIN, a tropical rain for about 20 minutes, and Dan and his staff were there to make sure the flower arrangements and centerpieces were not ruined. They worked hard to make everything beautiful and stayed until they knew everything was just right. And it was. The flower arrangements, the centerpieces, the bridesmaids bouquets, the groomsmens and my husband's boutonniere, and my bouquet...they were all absolutely breathtaking!I was stunned at how gorgeous the flowers turned out! Our guests could not believe how beautiful all the flowers were and our pictures show how bright, vibrant and stunning Dan made our wedding look! He really made a difference in our wedding day and we could not be happier about how everything turned out. I recommend him to EVERYONE.

Dan was so knowledgable and made it so easy and stress free for us. The day of the wedding he and his crew were there early and had everything set up and stayed until he was sure everything was perfect. Besides being so great, the flowers were MAGNIFICENT. All night long people told us how beautiful the flowers were. As you look at the pictures you can't help but notice the georgous flowers. From the first meeting with the affable Dan Codron, he immediately clicked with the bride, groom and parents of the bride. He understood our vision and began to incorporate creative and invaluable ideas of his own. Painstakingly he prepared samples for us to see and his enthusiasm and professional manner completely won us over. We gave him a budget and he respectfully kept within those boundaries unlike other vendors who made promises, but when it came time for the written estimate they had truly only given us lip service and their quotes were way over the top.
During the many months of planning, he was always responsive and receptive to new ideas and thoughts and since the bride and I were extremely detail oriented, there was never anything which was considered too small for his complete attention. Emails and phone calls were always returned in a timely manner and even if we asked the same question 100 times, he was always patient, pleasant and considerate.
The day of the wedding, he was determined to exceed our expectations in every way possible thereby making Jessica and Derek’s wedding the event of the decade. Dan and his staff worked long and hard in their quest to make sure there was not one detail overlooked. His passion for his work and the joy he brought to so many was evident in every amazing detail.
Unfortunately we had serious issues with our site location, La Canada Flintridge Country Club, whose management did not deliver on their promises of a total renovation in time for our May 1, 2010 wedding. And though sadly the club maintained its shabby 1970’s décor, with Dan’s creativity, he managed to draw our guests’ eyes away from the club’s many flaws and the focal point became his magnificent flowers.
Anyone who advises you that flowers are not an important element of your wedding is wrong, because with his assistance, the wedding was gorgeous and a resounding success. Contact Dan at Flowers by Dan today and you will never regret it.

Dan is AMAZING! He did a fabulous job for our wedding. From the first time I met Dan I felt comfortable in his creativity and competence. He understood and saw my vision right away, and took it to another level. On the day of the wedding we were at awe when we saw the reception hall. Dan blew us away. He definitely went above and beyond what we paid him to do. His creativity with unused rose pedals and left over flowers from the ceremony completely changed the feel of our wedding. There were more rose pedals then I knew what to do with, which is exactly what I was looking for. He managed to get my leaves to look the exact shade of gold I asked for, and insert just enough rhinestones into my bouquet to give it that extra shine without being tacky. The guests fought over the centerpieces when we gave them away, beceause they were that gorgeous. I would definitely recommend Dan to a bride with any budget :)

I got married 9/5/2009 and when I first saw my bouquet, I was extremely happy. The bouquets for my maids of honor were also beautiful. I loved the flowers at the church and the flowers at the reception were just amazing. For my next event that I have I plan to use Dan again.

Dan is wonderful. He is very reliable (he called me to confirm a couple of days before the wedding instead of me having to call him!); does a fantastic job; and his flowers are very high quality and fresh! Some of the orchids in my bouquet where still alive and fresh looking when I returned from my honeymoon 10 days later; I took them out of the dried up bouquet and put them in water and they still look good 13 days later....amazing.

Dan ROCKS! I described my vision and he created exactly what I had imagined for my BIG DAY!, I couldn't have picked a better man to do the job.

We did not have a lot to spend on flowers. Dan was very flexible with us so that we could have the most beautiful flowers without going over our budget. He was great and easy to work with and was able to accommodate some last minute questions and requests the night before the wedding. The one thing everyone commented on about our wedding and reception was how beautiful our flowers were. We couldn't have asked for anything more.

We've used Flowers By Dan for both my daughter's weddings, one in 2009 and then just recently in June 2013. His arrangements are ABSOLUTELY amazing!!!! He was able to create exactly what each of my daughters envisioned for their wedding flowers, even though their styles were so totally different. He uses high quality, fresh flowers and makes the arrangements very full. AND, he does all this working within your budget, his prices are very, very reasonable for what he creates. The best part about Dan is that he is extremely professional, you can count on him to do exactly what he says he will do. He showed up way before the ceremony and had the gazebo looking perfect, he waited for the cake to arrive and personally decorated the cake with his accent of flowers, then while the wedding party took pictures he transferred all the flowers from the gazebo to the reception area and stayed until we told him everything was perfect. Our Wedding Coordinator at the Westlake Village Inn said she worked with so many florists and was so impressed by Dan's arrangements, and how much he cared to make certain everything was perfect. I highly recommend Dan as one of the best florists around. I won't use anyone else.

Dan and I got off to a bumpy start, but he made good on his promises and delivered beautiful results. I did DIY centerpieces, but Dan did our bouquets, boutonnières, and corsages. He had a great idea to use extra fabric from my dress as the wrapping for my bouquet, which was perfect! He delivered everything to the venue, which was extremely helpful.

So I read all the reviews and was really excited to meet with Dan to discuss flowers for my wedding. However, my experience was nothing like anyone else's, it seems.

For starters, he was incredibly distracted the entire time that I was meeting with him. He rescheduled our appointment to later in the day due to something coming up, but then during my appointment, he still kept leaving the room for stretches of time to deal with other things.

Moreover, when he actually WAS in the room and discussing things with me, he kept pressuring me to buy his preset wedding package, which I did not want. And when I would tell him what I did want, he would try to convince me otherwise.

Finally, he was completely unwilling to work with budget. He basically told me that no one would be able to do wedding flowers on my budget and that I needed to add at least another $500. Not only did I find two other florists in the area who were able to give me quotes inside my budget, but their flower designs were better too. In the end, I went with Blossom Flowers in Granada Hills, and I was happy I did. I got exactly what I wanted, way bigger centerpieces than Dan was going to give me, and I was underbudget.

Not a good experience here.
