Flour Girl was so easy to work with for our wedding at the West Shore Cafe. Sarah is great at communicating and we could not have been happier with our experience. Our cake was delicious and beautiful- it was exactly what we dreamed of. We went with bite size desserts for our wedding guests which were displayed on rustic/modern trays that we rented from Flour Girl. Renting the displays was so easy and our guests raved about the desserts. Thank you so much to Sarah and her team at Flour Girl!

We had the most delicious cake at our wedding from Flour Girl! We had three different flavors and everyone raved about each one of them. Sarah was so wonderful and easy to work with. She was so kind, professional, responsive, and helped guide us with recommendations. Flour Girl was familiar with our venue and worked so easily with our planner. Sarah’s team knows how to make good cake!
OMG. We fell in love with this vendor when we did our initial tasting 6 months before our wedding, but it was even better seeing how much our friends and family loved our desserts at our wedding! Everyone raved about how great each item was and we agree! We purchased mini key lime pies, lemon bars, brownies, and a 3 tier cake. Only the top of our wedding cake was saved and everything else was devoured! Highly recommend this vendor, they were so easy to work with!

Not only was our wedding cake absolutely stunning, but it was delicious too! Flour Girl Cakes made my cake vision come to life and exceeded all of our expectations. The cake tasting was super fun and the flavors were unique and delicious. We selected to do yellow cake with Bavarian cream and raspberry filling and red velvet cake with chocolate mousse and cream cheese- we still talk about how delicious this was!

Our wedding cake was so beautiful and delicious! Sarah & her team made our vision come to life perfectly. We had a two-tier cake: chocolate fudge with raspberry filling and a coconut cake with lemon filling. Our tasting was fun & relaxing. Beautiful AND delicious wedding cake!
The most important thing to my husband was that our wedding cake actually taste GOOD- and Flour Girl waaaay more than exceeded our expectations. It was beautiful and a culinary masterpiece, and we had so much fun doing a wedding cake tasting and choosing all of our favorite flavors! We ended up doing a different combination of cake and icing and filling for each of our three tiers, then had several smaller half/quarter sheet cakes available to serve to wedding guests to make sure we had enough food for everyone. The cake was incredible, and whatever didn't get consumed by guests the night of our wedding was immediately finished at our morning after brunch the next day! They were so great to work with, delivered our cakes on time the morning of our wedding all the way to Tahoe City on a snowy winter weekend, and created a masterpiece of a wedding cake that was exactly what I had imagined. Thank you Flour Girl!!

We worked with Flour Girl Wedding Cakes for our welcome party at The Landing and our wedding at the Chart House. Sarah and Lori were a complete joy to work with! We had the desserts and wedding cake delivered by their staff to both locations. Everything was delicious and our guests devoured every last piece. Don't sleep on the churro cake--My husband and I are hoping to be back in Tahoe for our 1 year anniversary so we can order another one! Couldn't recommend this sweet small business enough!

Amazing desserts!
Sarah and her team were absolutely incredible! We started planning with them for our wedding in 2019 for our June 2020 wedding, which was of course cancelled due to COVID. Sarah was super responsive and attentive to our needs of a new date for our wedding and did everything in her power to make sure that we had our perfect desserts on our perfect day! She delivered directly to the venue and everyone RAVED about how amazing the desserts were. We had a large variety of mini cupcakes, mini cheesecakes, buckeyes, Lake Tahoe sugar cookies and skipped doing a large formal cake. Guests loved that the minis were bite sized and they could have lots of them! People also absolutely raved about the sugar cookies and looking back, we probably would've added them to our favors if we knew they would be such a big hit!! Would highly recommend Sarah & Flour Girl Wedding Cakes for your next big event :)

Flour Girl Wedding Cake's team made our wedding cake dreams come true! Planning a wedding during a pandemic was no easy task and they knew that and tried to make things as easy as possible. They helped us reschedule our tasting multiple times, as things were ever changing. They followed us to three different venues, delivered and set up our dessert table, and allowed us to return the cake platter later that week so we did not have to rush. Not to mention all of the desserts were AMAZING!! We cannot wait to eat our topper in one year! So grateful to have them apart of our vendor team!

"Prettiest macarons I've ever seen!"
Sarah made us a mini wedding cake and damask macarons for our Emerald Bay elopement. They were both lovely and delicious! We originally had bigger plans for our cake, but decided to downgrade our wedding to an elopement during the pandemic. We changed our minds and our plans a lot over the course of the planning process, but Sarah was always receptive and communicative. A friend saw photos and said the macarons were the prettiest she'd ever seen!

Sarah at Flour Girl was such a delight to work with. The tasting process (done in 2019) was flawless and it was so hard to choose our dessert assortment since everything was so tasty. We had a whole dessert assortment planned out for our wedding, but due to covid and many, many changes to our guest count, we had to scratch our original idea and go with a cake. Sarah put together a delicious cake (we actually brought a few slices home and have been slowly enjoying it since the wedding). I would highly recommend Sarah and her crew!

Sarah was a fantastic baker to work with - we were originally planning a wedding for this summer with a larger cake and a selection of desserts (the lemon bars and peanut butter balls are amazing!!) but in light of covid we had to cancel. We had the best experience working with Flour Girl- we had a multi-layer cake that was incredibly designed and tasted amazing. There was absolutely nothing left on the desert table by the end of our reception. I sat with other bakeries and was charged a ridiculous fee for trying three to four flavors. I showed up at Flour Girl with my poor and exhausted dad in tow and was absolutely amazed. They brought out several different plates with many flavors to taste. I gave them a budget and I was worried I wasn't going to get much. Was I wrong I got so much more and we left with full bellies on all the goodies we tasted. My cake was amazing, the bourbon balls a hit. The kids loved the cupcakes the most and lime I said in the beginning there was absolutely nothing left. Everything was perfect.

We loved everything about our wedding cake and desserts from Flour Girl. We haven't had better-tasting cakes and cookies anywhere. All the decorations were gorgeous and Flour Girl completely handled and supplied the display items and signage for the desserts. One less thing for us to worry about - much appreciated! We were so happy with the wedding cake and cupcakes that Sarah and her team made for us! They completely ran with our ideas of using video game inspired characters as cupcake toppers and a Tetris-themed wedding cake. The results were fantastic.

We LOVED working with Flour Girl and were so happy with our wedding cake! Sarah and her team are incredibly professional and great to work with. My husband and I had such a fun time at our tasting, and Flour Girl was nice enough to let us bring along our moms and sisters to enjoy with us! The cake itself was gorgeous and SO delicious. We opted for a smaller two-tier cake plus sheet cakes so that we could offer (read: eat!) several different flavors and combinations. The cakes, icings, and fillings were all incredible, and we received so many compliments. Our cakes were so beautiful and so yummy she was able to accomplish what I wanted with individual mini cakes. The dusting of the powdered sugar on the cake cutting cake wasn't exactly what I wanted. I wanted the "M" to be no powdered sugar, I wanted the powdered sugar to be around the "M". The the opposite of how it was. But that was communication error not her error. It was still beautiful and still tasted amazing, pricing was great I thought.

The most amazing wedding cake
Flourgirl made us the perfect wedding cake. The colors fit our theme perfectly. The marbling was just what we were looking for. They got our special wedding topper on top of the cake. All the extra desserts were fantastic and thankfully we had leftovers for the few days we spent in Tahoe before going home. I could not have been more pleased with them.

I am so glad that we chose Flour Girl Wedding Cakes for our wedding desserts. Sarah was super friendly and responsive by email (we had to plan our wedding in Lake Tahoe remotely, from Santa Fe) and she helped so much in figuring out what we wanted to do for the desserts at our reception. We ended up doing a small cutting cake, and then a large dessert buffet with brownies, cupcakes (in several flavors), rice Krispy treats, lemon bars, cookies, and chocolate-covered strawberries. Our guests were all so impressed with the variety and flavor of the desserts, and we got so many compliments on how delicious and beautiful everything was! Winter Wedding 2019
I booked Flour Girl Bakery as a recommendation from our hotel vendor, Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel and am so glad I did!! We got engaged in September, got married in January 2019 and in between somehow planned our wedding.
Sarah was very responsive with my requests for information on pricing and types of desserts available. We chose to go with a cutting cake (single layer) and a dessert table, filled with cookies, brownies and cupcakes. Boy, all of it was gone before we even cut the cake!!
I did not even get any!! Our guests absolutely loved the display as well as the flavors and taste of the options.
I loved how for an additional fee, they provided unlimited use of their display stands, as we had family provide cake pops, and Sarah allowed them use their matching trays to display. Their pricing was very fair, and probably one of the least expensive ones that we reached out to. But although they are not expensive, the product looks and tastes like it is!!

Flour Girl Cakes is seriously top notch. The whole experience couldn't be more perfect. Not only do they have amazing tasting cakes, fillings, and icing, they went above and beyond for this displaced bride and even decorated a special cake for my groom made by my mom.
So, my wedding was originally planned in the Caribbean but due to the major hurricanes of 2017 I had to change venues completely. So having my whole concept changed from a beach wedding to a mountain wedding was hard. Also a lot of my West Indian aspects of my weeding would not be included with all the changes. Alas, here comes Flour Girls, they allowed me to make an amazing wedding cake and then have my mom make a special West Indian Black cake and they decorated it for me, for my groom just days before the wedding. It was beautiful and top notch! Talk about going above and beyond! If ever in Tahoe, do not look anywhere else but Flour Girls!!!!

In terms of creativity and flavor, I have come to the conclusion that there is nothing they can't do! The one-of-a-kind, personalized wedding cake they created for us was truly spectacular has to be seen to be believed... We are considering getting married again just for the desserts! :-) Highly, highly recommend.

We planned our entire wedding six hours away from our wedding venue. We read all the reviews and chose Flour Girl Wedding Cakes strictly from the reviews. It was one of the best decisions we made! We were pleased with their service via email and phone as needed. We emailed them a picture of what we wanted and it was delivered exactly as we envisioned, if not better. The cake tasted even better than it looked! We thought we would have enough to enjoy on our honeymoon and the guests ate all the cake! Most of them had two pieces each! That speaks for itself!

Beyond pleased!
Flour Girl was a lucky find for our wedding cakes!!
I researched all the options in the Tahoe area for our destination wedding. Based on reviews and lovely correspondence with Sarah, we went with our intuition and booked in October of 2017. Our wedding was in August 2018, and the availability of vendors was already becoming limited. I didn't want to risk losing out on a fantastic bakery.
The contract and deposit process was a breeze, Sarah was so quick to correspond and very no-nonsense. Flour Girl definitely gets it right with communication which isn't always easy to find in Tahoe.
Lori hosted our tasting in May 2018 when we visited from Los Angeles. The bakery, tasting room, brochures and presentation were totally flawless, professional and comfortable. Lori felt like a family member, she was incredibly kind, personable and patient. It felt good to be treated so well and have all the options laid out clearly.
I LOVE cake so it was a challenge to narrow down our choices because everything tasted DIVINE! The cakes are moist and flavorful, the fillings and frostings are smooth and delicious. Lori helped us pair the right cakes, fillings and frostings and we were able to make our selections before leaving. I would have loved to have some of the bolder flavor choices because I really loved all the flavors, but we went with some of our tried and true favorites. They were:
3-Tier Wedding Cake:
6" + 9" + 12" Tiers
Cake: Vanilla (Cake)
Fillings: Fresh Strawberries, Strawberry Preserves and Bavarian Cream
Frosting: Vanilla Buttercream
Decoration: Perfectly even horizontal stucco with a cascade of flowers.
Stand: Rented the silver base from Flour Girl which was the perfect accent.
Half Sheet Cake 2:
(We also added a 6" round birthday cake for our Dad in his fave flavor)
Cake: Marble
Filling: Chocolate Chip Bavarian Cream
Frosting: Chocolate Buttercream
Instead of more tiers on our wedding cake or a big dessert bar, we chose to have two additional half sheet cakes, each with two cake layers and a layer of filling between. Brilliant decision so we could have more cake and more flavors!
We had 107 people at our wedding and they ate both sheet cakes and 1/4 of our bottom tier. We brought our leftover tiers to a beach BBQ the next day that had about 80 of our guests in attendance. Since we stayed in Tahoe for almost a week after the wedding, we were able to eat the rest over the next few days. Our wedding was on Sunday and my father-in-law was still eating the last of our top tier on Saturday morning for breakfast before we left to go home! The cake tasted so good to everyone and stated fresh and delicious for an entire week.
Everyone raved about our cakes. I've indulged in a LOT of high end bakery cakes at weddings, parties and events in Los Angeles and Flour Girl is honestly one of the best I've ever tasted, if not thee best. We are so happy we found them!!
Delivery was smooth and the cake was set up perfectly when we first saw it during our reception. We have absolutely no regrets and only wonderful things to say about Flour Girl.
I've heard disappointing stories about frozen top tiers tasting awful a year later. We are very excited to visit Tahoe next August and order a small cake in one of our wedding flavors to celebrate our 1 year anniversary!

I can't believe how much we lucked out that we got to have Flour Girl do our wedding cake and cupcakes! Sarah was so awesome to work with-- we came in for a tasting and she helped us put together six different incredible cupcakes for our guests, including two gluten-free options, which our family and friends DEVOURED and raved about. She was unphased by our lack of a color scheme or concrete idea of what we wanted for our little couples cake, and did an amazing job of creating something that was beautiful and better than what we wanted, and most importantly tasted amazing. My husband's mom owned her own bakery for 30 years and was blown away by how amazing everything was. THANK YOU Flour Girl for everything, we couldn't recommend them more highly.

We are so happy we went with Flour Girl for our wedding cake/dessert table. The tasting experience was so much fun and we were able to come up with a flavor combination for our wedding cake that we both loved. We had a champagne wedding cake filled with fresh strawberries, strawberry preserves and bavarian cream which was then rounded out by a buttercream. In addition, we served red velvet and chocolate cake pops and chocolate sea salt cookies. All of which were a huge hit! The display was beautiful and I could not have been happier with how everything looked and tasted! My in laws even used Flour Girl for a cake at at our rehearsal dinner! We could not recommend Flour Girl more for any event you may have requiring tasty treats &/or cakes!

I was so impressed with Flour Girl! I'm a big fan of desserts but I'm also vegan so it can be a struggle trying to find a place that is accommodating. Right away Flour Girl was able to meet my needs and I couldn't be more grateful! It was such a fun experience to meet with the staff before the big day in order to try all kinds of different combinations of cakes, frosting, and fillings. We ordered a small, round, vegan cake for me and my husband to share while our guests had a large selection of cupcakes, brownies, cookies, and more to choose from. We also took advantage of renting their platters and decor items which was a huge help. It was also a plus that it went so well with our outdoor theme. Thank you Flour Girl!!

Flour Girl created amazing desserts for our Lake Tahoe wedding! We had a small two-tier cutting cake which was beautifully decorated with fruit and edible flours, sheet cake, gluten-free coconut macaroons, and brownie bites. They were even able to accommodate the bride's gluten allergy and make cutting cake gluten-free. We ended up doing a combination of carrot cake and lemon cake, but we had a ton of fun at the tasting beforehand trying all the flavors and frostings! My husband and I first used Flour Girl for our wedding. From start to finish they were such a pleasure to work with. We visited their shop to do a tasting before deciding which cake flavors to go with and it was soooo hard to decide because they were all so delicious! The one thing that really drew us to them, was that they offer a LAVENDER HONEY flavor which is my absolute favorite! We went with a 3 tier cake and got to make each tier a different flavor. We also did an assortment of smaller desserts such as Cake Pops, Cookies, Rice Crispy Treats & Mini Cupcakes. They delivered everything to the venue on time and in perfect condition. My husband used them again recently for my birthday cake and as soon as he told the lady our names she remembered us and our cake flavors! We went again with the Lavender Honey buttercream and vanilla bean cake. It was seriously the best cake I think I have ever had! We will definitely continue to enjoy their delicious desserts!

I was a little nervous about selecting a wedding cake because my fiancé and I couldn’t do any cake tastings before our wedding in Lake Tahoe. And wedding cake is one of my favorite things about attending a wedding so I wanted ours to be delicious. And, I was not at all disappointed by our cake from Flour Girl. After speaking to Sarah I didn’t have any doubt that we would enjoy our wedding cake. I also ordered a groom’s cake as a surprise to my husband. I was able to communicate with Sarah what I was looking for taste and style wise and everything came out perfectly. Our guests were raving about how good the cake was! The groom’s cake was gone at the reception. And the leftover wedding cake we snacked on the whole week of our honeymoon. I actually wish I had some more cake right now.

The flavor combinations were so incredible I had trouble making a choice! We ended up going bigger on the cake with dessert sized slices than we needed to and we had several last minute cancelations however we went home with VERY little cake!!!! Our guests really enjoyed it!!!! We loved it as well!
Sarah and her staff are top notch at what they do! Our cake was beautiful! Their service is outstanding and they make it really easy to do business with them, even from long distance! Thank you for making our wedding day special!!!!!

Sarah made the most delicious cake for our wedding. We only needed a 6" cake as a cutting cake and she made it happen. We choose a vanilla bean cake with a layer of raspberry preserves and layer of Bavarian cream. Covered in traditional white buttercream, probably the best i have tasted. Sarah is truly a cake master. When my mother and I went cake tasting, we had a hard time narrowing down to 3 choices because each cake and filling/frosting flavor was so good. She even suggested some unique flavor combinations that we ended up choosing because they were so good together, yet we would have never known to try them. Our cake ended up looking wonderful, and she even accommodated, making gluten-free cupcakes for my cousin with dietary restrictions. Best desserts my guests and I have ever had! I did a destination wedding from southern CA up in Lake Tahoe a few weeks ago and chose The Flour Girl as my wedding cake bakery. I was only able to contact them through phone calls and emails since I live so far away but the owner was wonderful at answering any questions I had, emailing me pictures, and being quick to respond. They delivered the cake and the desserts to where we were having dinner and set them up beautifully. The desserts tasted absolutely delicious, I still am craving the chocolate peanut butter whoopie pie and our wedding cake. My guests loved the desserts too. I loved working with Sarah for our wedding. She was incredibly professional and had absolute great response time to any questions I had (phone calls and text). We had the opportunity to sit with her and eat our way through several choices of cake for our wedding, and the whole experience was easy and fun! She did a phenomenal job, and we loved how everything turned out for us. Our guests were amazed by how amazing everything tasted (we did a selection of "jumbo" cupcakes, cream puffs, and brownies). We will certainly use her services again in the future for any other occasion.

We chose cupcakes over a traditional cake for our wedding and everyone loved it. Flour Girl delivered 4 different cupcake flavors of our choosing and assisted us in selecting frosting type, filling, cake type, etc. The results were awesome. The cupcakes were a good size without being gigantic, the finish work looked very "gourmet", they were delivered on time, and they looked great on the cupcake stand provided.

We couldn't have been happier with Flour Girl Wedding Cakes for our wedding! Sarah was great to work with- very friendly and professional. We hadn't decided between a cake vs. cupcakes until the tasting, and Sarah was very helpful in helping us make a decision, keeping our budget in mind! She had great recommendations for different combinations of cake and frostings for the cupcakes we ended up choosing. Our guests absolutely loved the cupcakes (and our photographer loved photographing them!). We thought we would have way too many because we had several guests who couldn't make it to the wedding at the last minute, but they were all eaten, quickly!

We are from Cleveland and were only in Lake Tahoe for a limited time to select vendors for our wedding. We did not have an appointment for a cake tasting, but Sarah graciously put together a tasting platter for us on the spot. Flour Girl does an excellent job with their bakery items. We decided to do a cupcake tower for our wedding, and it was beautiful! The cakes are the best we have ever had. We would highly recommend Flour Girl!

We did pies and cupcakes with Flour Girl. They were so good!!! They put together an amazing set up and everything looked so great. And tasted even better! When we met with her to figure out our flavors, I knew I made the right choice. She has some great combinations and was so easy to work with.

I got married in Tahoe when I live 4 hours away. I didn't do a cake tasting with her because one of my friends highly recommended her. Sarah was amazing throughout the whole experience. I originally contacted her for my bridal cake but when I also proposed a very unique groom's cake she seemed just as excited about it as I was. She communicated with me throughout the whole process and when she couldn't get ahold of me, she made the executive decisions needed. Not only did the groom's cake turn out fantastic, when I called less than a week ahead of time to ask if I could pick it up a day early, she had no problem with it! Both cakes were a big hit and tasted amazing as well. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect experience.

We wanted a naked cake (as in no icing or fondant) for our wedding. Depending on the vendor, that can turn out looking really well, or really terrible. Our cake by Sarah was beautiful and exactly what we hoped for. Sarah fantastic in giving flavor ideas with unique fillings to complement the cake. Listen to her advice! I had my heart set on making the biggest tier be the lemon cake with cream cheese filling (it's my favorite). While ALL flavors were absolutely delicious, the most popular was the one she first suggested to us..vanilla bean cake with fresh strawberries/preserves and bavarian cream. It was to die for! Trust the pro! If I were to do it over, I would have made that the largest tier, and my lemon cake the middle tier. We also had Champagne cake with champagne mouse and strawberries, and chocolate cake with caramel/ganache cream.
Book her early, she's the best in the area, and the top of most vendor recommendations!

Sarah is AMAZING and her cake and cupcakes are the same!!! We went for a tasting before and couldn't wait to eat more. Sarah was very helpful on the phone and via email, it made it very easy since we do not live in the area.
On our wedding day we got so many compliments on the display and how wonderful everything looked. Then they tasted everything....OMG, they were all gone so fast!! Thank goodness either Sarah or someone saved us a taste of each cupcake (we had 6 different flavors!) Co-workers of mine still talk about them and beg me to order some via the mail just so we can eat them again! Great service and DELICIOUS product!

Sarah was absolutely amazing to work with and we can't thank her enough for a beautiful dessert display for our July Wedding! She delivered all the cupcakes and cream puffs to the Safari Rose and created a beautiful table set up for us. Our guests kept commenting how amazing every flavor was and were very impressed! I highly recommend Flour Girl to any bride.. We planned our entire wedding without meeting anyone before hand, or taste testing! So grateful for her professionalism and energy.

Sarah is the best baker on this planet!!!!!!!!! I can't even express or put into words how amazing she is at baking and creating the most beautiful cakes and desserts! She created the most beautiful wedding cake and dessert bar for my wedding and everyone that was at my wedding is still talking about how AMAZING everything tasted (and my wedding was weeks ago!). Sarah's service, baking, and decorating is impeccable and you will not find a better baker anywhere. She will exceed all your expectations! Oh my, the cake!! I was the bride who changed her mind 100 times. Sarah, was always willing to make the changes. My wedding cake was the second cake that she had made for me, and just like the first one......it was exactly (in flavor and design) how I had imagined. The macaroons I had selected, were awesome.....my only mistake was not ordering more. She is very responsive, and always replies to emails, and phone calls. She is very professional, and I highly recommend her. Thank you Sarah, for the wonderful cake(s) and macaroons. Scott and I look forward to you making out anniversary cake next year.

Love love love the cake from Sarah. I had my wedding at Edgewood in Lake Tahoe 2/18/14. I live in Los Angeles and heard great reviews from Edgewood about Flour Girl Wedding Cakes. I looked at her website and the past cakes she has done were beautiful.I looked at other cake places and no one in Lake Tahoe even comes close to Sarah's cakes. She is very sweet and communicates great. She is on top of things and great to work with. She made our wedding cake the way I pictured it, PERFECT!!! The taste was amazing. Her prices are great!! She is the best you will find in Lake Tahoe hands down. She gives a great variety of flavors to taste test. Her frosting is amazing!!!

I used Flour Girl for cupcakes at my wedding reception and absolutely loved them. Sarah was fantastic to work with...so down to earth and very talented! I wanted the cupcakes to be the centerepieces at each of my tables, and Sarah took that vision and ran with it! She had all the pedastal cake plates to display the cupcakes on and made sure the different decorations all coordinated so the different flavors of cupcakes were easy to identify, yet it all was aesthetically pleasing...not to mention absolutely delicious! I'd highly recommend Flour Girl to anyone planning an event in the Lake Tahoe area!

Sara made our wedding cake and grooms cake! She did amazing. The grooms cake was a dirtbike tire spitting dirt onto our wedding cake. She made a beautiful cake and the grooms cake turned out so awesome. She was so easy to work with and am totally recommending her to everyone I know getting married in Tahoe!

The cake tasting was my favorite part of wedding planning, and thanks to Sarah the cake and cupcakes turned out even better than they tasted! Sarah did our wedding cake and we couldn't have been happier. We did a tasting at her shop and one other in Tahoe, and while the other one was good, Sarah won hands down. All of her flavors are delicious and she has so many to choose from. You can go with something really basic, like white cake with bavarian cream, or choose a more adventurous combination if you think your guests are up for it! Sarah had plenty of good flavor combo ideas. Our cake was vanilla bean with bavarian cream and strawberry preserves, and we got several comments from guests about how good it was.
Her designs are incredible too. She can do anything you imagine. Your cake will look so amazing that you almost won't want to eat it. (Almost.)
My only regret is that we only got to eat one piece! But we may have solved that problem. For our one year anniversary we want to go back to Tahoe and have Sarah make us cupcakes in the same flavor as our wedding cake. Because her cake is way too good to eat only once!

I found Flour Girl wedding cakes through reviews on yelp and was NOT disappointed. I live about 6 hours away from Lake Tahoe and never even met with Sarah in person. We communicated mostly through emails (she was great at responding quickly which I loved since she was so far away!) about what I wanted for my wedding this past weekend. I chose to do cupcakes plus a giant cupcake for me and my husband. Everything turned out super duper cute and tasted amazing! My wedding was small and Sarah was still willing to work with me, which I thought was awesome. I would definitely recommend Sarah and the girls at Flour Girl wedding cakes for your big day!

Sarah Lofgren was an absolute delight to work with from beginning to end. A true artist in the bakery. Her creativity inspired all of us and she produced exactly what we envisioned. Chad wanted a golf ball groom's cake on the green with a basket spilling out cake golf balls. Exactly that. A 24" diameter golf ball cake with the St. Louis Cardinals logo on it. The table was topped with real grass and the cake balls spilled from a real driving range bucket. Perfect for an Edgewood Golf Club destination wedding. The Bride's cake for Lacy was even more spectacular. A towering cake adorned with bows and jewels with real orchids hanging all around it. Truly a sight to behold and we give Flour Girl an A+++++++++++++++++++ for execution, delivery, look, and above all taste. Thank you Sarah!

Amazing experience for my wedding. The tasting was way better than any other place and Sarah was such a pleasure to work with. We changed our mind on the cake a few months before and she was so accommodating and made my cake a beautiful masterpiece!! I love loved her!!!!!!!! Definitely worth your money. The only thing that was more fun and tastier than the wedding cupcakes was the awesome cupcake tasting my fiance and I got to do earlier this year :) Sarah was awesome. She had great choices and she made the cupcakes look amazing! They had a wood theme and were placed on log pieces. The tasting cake was moist, delish and beautiful. I could not have asked for more!

I have so many positive things to say about Sarah and Flour Girl Wedding Cakes. Not only was she super attentive, but her cakes were amazing. We went with a three tiered cake and a sheet cake. Each was a different flavor and during the tasting, she helped us pick out combinations that went well together. She was super helpful with her book of cakes she had already done, pinterest items I had shown her, and helping create my vision. I tried several cake vendors and none of them compared to Flour Girl. Her tastings were moist, fresh and she had a large variety. We ended up with a vanilla bean cake with strawberries and bavarian cream, lemon cake with lemon curd and cream cheese, spice cake with apricot and cream cheese and a sheet cake of red velvet with raspberries and chocolate mousse. Every piece was devoured and we were lucky enough to save a slice of each to take home.
We only had one snafu which was the design we picked out was a horizontal stucco look and we got a cake of veritcal stucco. The rest of the cake was according to plan, and so Sarah worked with us to make it work. I still loved the look of the cake, even though it was a bit different than what we talked about and she made it right. Amazing cake, amazing service and beautiful designs.

Flour girl wedding cakes made our cake for our wedding. Our cake was so beautiful and delicious. We were able to choose three flavor combinations and choose a design special order. Flour girl was very accommodating, she made us a sample plate on the spur of the moment, she gave us suggestions for some great flavor combinations, she decorated our cake so elegantly. We were very pleased with what we got. Her services are extraordinary.

She had us at the cake tasting which was beyond our expectations. We picked four different flavors because they were all so good.
Our cake was gorgeous and we heard nothing but great reviews from guests. The delivery was on time arrived in perfect condition (from South Lake to North Lake)!

Sarah from flour girl Wedding Cakes made our daughter's wedding cake for last weekend. They wanted a very unusal cake design with many different colors, patterns and flavors.
