True entertainment

We had a wonderful experience. The DJ was very attentive. We didn't have a chance to eat and he was like "I got you" and made an announcement. He made the gater toss and bouquet toss so fun. Would definitely recommend.

Outstanding Experience!

Our experience with Five Star Entertainment was nothing short of pleasant! The planning, follow thru, execution and follow up exceeded our expectations. Our DJ was very professional. The worksheet was followed to the finest detail. Our guests were pleased and it was overall a great experience. I am happy we decided to go with Five Star and will continue to use them in the future.

Wonderful service from Five Star

Five Star Entertainment was an excellent vendor. They were detail oriented and helped us plan from conception to implementation. The DJ we got, Major, was excellent! He did a lot of day-of coordination, worked with our photographers easily, and guided us through the day with a deft hand. Absolutely recommend them again.

Daughter’s Wedding

Five Star Entertainment did an excellent job with my daughter’s wedding. The DJ services were very engaging, the uplighting was beautiful, and all the guests absolutely loved the surprise sparkler machine during the first dance. I would definitely recommend their services for your event.

Five Star Entertainment was absolutely amazing, we can’t say enough good things about this company. My husband and I just got married this past weekend and we received so many compliments on our DJ. He was attentive, fun and easy to work with on top of being so friendly. I appreciate how easy it was to work with this company, especially with how stressful wedding planning was. They were quick to respond, helpful and so kind. Our wedding day was absolutely wonderful with their help, it was better than we could have imagined!

Loved 5 Star!

Cannot recommend 5 Star Entertainment highly enough. Our wedding coordinator gave us a list of vendors but mentioned offhand that 5 Star was known for getting people on the dance floor, which was definitely a priority for us.

Every step of the way, from booking to planning to set up to breakdown was so, so easy-- Vivian walked us through every deadline, and the survey that they had us fill out let us cultivate a fantastic wedding playlist. Two months later, people are still talking about how great the dancefloor and our DJ was the best wedding DJ they've seen all year.

We also used their equipment for our service, and it made things so simple. I'm glad we had them for our wedding-- it made everything a breeze. Would hire them again in a minute for literally any event.

Working with the team at Five Star entertainment was enjoyable from the beginning. Vivian was communicative and answered all questions promptly. It was great how customizable things were including the background of our photo booth pics, the monogram displayed on the wall, etc. They provided a comprehensive worksheet to complete to help us choose songs and styles of music throughout our event and really helped us get organized with songs that represented us. My favorite aspect was the "candid photographer" that took pics during the reception and were displayed on our TV/projector in real time - a super fun and interactive aspect of a wedding that I really enjoyed!

Five Star entertainment made the entire process of booking them such a breeze! Vivian helped so much in going over the packages they offer and helping with organizing the entertainment timeline for our big day! DJ Major did such a great job with the entertainment on the day of! We would definitely book with them again for future events as they made this booking such a stress free one for us!

We are extremely satisfied with our service with Five Star Entertainment from beginning to end, Vivian is exceptionally organized, prompt and informative. Major was our DJ and he was phenomenal! Major was sure to to play our requests and get active with the crowd! Our family and friends loved him! We also received up lighting services for our venue and it definitely set the tone. Five Star Entertainment, Don't look any further, this company is your one stop shop for DJ, lighting, photo booth, monogram, video screen and more......I was in your shoes once and nervous about choosing the perfect DJ for my wedding. I made the decision to go with Five Star Entertainment and I would choose them all over again. Major was our DJ and he kept our guest on the dance floor. Vivian was our person of contact/specialist that put everything together! Vivian answered any questions I had and assisted in giving different perspectives in regards to her experience. Major is the best!

We had an amazing experience with Five Star Entertainment. Major was the BEST DJ hands down. Since our wedding, I have had several friends request his contact information for future events. Our wedding was on December 3rd, and all of Moore County's power went out halfway through our reception due to vandalism. Major kept the party going and worked with our friends and family to hook the sound system up to trucks etc. in order to keep our party going. He engaged the crowd, danced WITH us, and made our dreams come true! We are SO grateful to him!!!

Experience counts!

Without the experience of Five Star, we wouldn’t have been able to have a smooth reception! Mark and his team coordinated the entire event for almost 200 people with ease!!! I requested to get through the “formalities” and get to the partying as quickly as possible and that’s EXACTLY what they did!!! Everyone knows the DJ keeps the party going so it’s very important to hire the BEST!
Vivian kept communication open for an entire year and a half! Communication and trusting your vendor to do their job is very important and Five Star experience is EXACTLY WHAT WE GOT!!!

5 Star Entertainment was a recommendation through Cape Fear Botanical Garden for our vows renewal. When I say top tier service and entertainment, I mean just that. Vivian helped make the arrangements flow so smoothly. The owner who was also the DJ had the reception rocking from start to finish without skipping a beat. He was the absolute beat. Simply amazing!

Five Star Entertainment was amazing to work with from start to finish! From setup with Vivian Baldwin- She was on top of everything from the very beginning! She made sure to stay in touch and followed up on homework and zoom meetings (we were out of town). She knew the importance of having every detail to make sure the wedding was smooth and seemless. “Major” Darius Fryar is the absolute best DJ hands down! He worked the crowd, got everyone dancing, and “MCee’d” the entire wedding! His setup was super quick and clean. I would recommend this team to anyone and everyone!! Simply amazing! We are so happy we went with Five Star for our wedding. From initial booking all the way up to the wedding date, they made the process super easy! Vivian was such a pleasure to work with— she was responsive, professional, and offered many pieces of wedding advice! Best Wedding DJ ever

Our special day was handle with care. The music was great and the DJ words can not express how entertaining he was. He moved as the night moved. Made everything very interesting, not a dual moment. Played our favorite songs and even improvised when needed. The photo booth was a success, everyone enjoyed taking their own pictures. If you want a great experience and no worries, you have to give them your special day. You will not regret it on bit.

There's a reason Five Star Entertainment is aptly named Five Star. They deliver exceptional service from the start, working with Vivian in the office coordinating, to finish with DJ and owner Mark Pezzella. I've seen Five Star in action and had no doubt who would be handling my son and daughter-in-law's wedding. As always, you guys went above and beyond to help make this day both amazing and fun!

Made our special day complete

Living in Fayetteville NC we’ve heard great things about Five Star Entertainment. So when it came time for our wedding in Charleston SC we contacted them. Vivian was awesome to deal with, she maintained communications with us, was very patient with us and ensured every detail was covered. We made several changes and additions to our special day and Five Star was very accommodating and provided us with many many options.
Once our special day arrived, the crew was there early to set up and what a set up it was from the up lighting, DJ set up to the wonderful photo booth it was perfect. Our DJ for the evening was the owner Mark Pezzella himself. From providing sound for the ceremony to the on site reception, He kept everyone entertained and dancing the night away.
The only thing we would do over for our wedding was to have Five Star Provide the day of coordinating as well (its provided but we opted to go with a wedding coordinator we had paid for and it was a huge mistake). Mark not only pointed out many issues that the wedding coordinator and photographer were not doing and took the “bull by the horns” and got our evening back on track and kept the evening fluid and special.
No matter how small or large your needs are you should definitely give Five Star Entertainment a call you won’t be disappointed. Like the old saying you get what you pay for well we got the best. We plan on calling Five Star for any future DJing needs.

Amazing wedding entertainment

5 star entertainment went above and beyond their service for our wedding day. We absolutely loved our personalised monogram and room lighting. The DJ even helped keep our guests entertained. We also hired the Photo booth which made for some really great memories, it also came with a personised design for the print outs. 100% would recommend this company for any event.

The service couldn't have been better! I would use Five Star for any future events. From start to finish everyone involved was extremely thorough and professional. They worked on every detail leading up to our wedding day, and let us choose everything.

During the wedding was no different. They let us adjust on the fly, and were great entertainers! We had a smaller wedding for the venue, and they did an outstanding job making it feel like a huge event. The DJs made a great effort to get everyone involved and keep the energy up. We loved it!

We are in our 20th year of holding the Best of Fayetteville Awards Party. I have been planning/ coordinating it for the last 7 years and by far this was our most successful event, mostly due to having Five Star Entertainment involved.

Five Star did a great job at our wedding. Five Star was also the DJ at my high school prom, so I was certain that -- 10 years later -- their quality would still be high. Correspondence was easy with them and, on the day of, they had everything under control. They played the music we loved and kept the guests happy. They also were critical in keeping our reception on track -- serving as both the emcee and reception coordinator. We are very happy with the services Five Star provided!

FiveStar was incredible - they really kept the night going and kept everyone on their feet. We also rented the photobooth which was a HUGE hit for everyone. The DJ kept the groom and I on top of things when we were being pulled in all directions at once. If I had it to do over again, the DJ/photobooth would be my major expense, because that's what everyone will remember. You remember if you had an awesome time at a wedding - no one cares about the little silly arts and crafts that you spend way too much money and headache on. Throw an awesome reception, FiveStar will make it most memorable!

Five Star provided our lighting and sound equipment for our ceremony at the Cape Fear Botanical Garden. They set up all of the sound equipment which was a challenge for an outdoor wedding. They were incredibly professional and a breeze to work with during our planning period. Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for lighting/sound equipment.

Five star was incredible!! We used them for dj services, and also for lighting and a personalized monogram. The place looked spectacular. They made sure everything was perfect. Mark was our dj, and he made sure everything went smoothly. I don't know what we would have done without him! Vivian was also great to work with, and coached us through the whole process. Mark and his assistant did an absolutely incredible job at our daughter's wedding reception. We were so pleased with the way it all went. They were professional, nicely dressed, courteous, and fun! The music was great and slideshow looked wonderful on the big screen. The administrative staff, from Dee Dee early on to Vivian at the end, walked us through all the planning and were so helpful answering our questions. Our guests loved our entertainment. Everything was wonderful! The DJ, Joeryll, was very personable, friendly, and flexible with all of our door prizes and announcements. I particularly enjoyed how he was conscientious of the shift in the audience throughout the day:

1) At the beginning, it was mostly older adults and he played some old school classics
2) As the crowd shifted to younger children and early teens, he moved to more of a Top 40 format
3) Towards the end as the audience balanced out, he broke out the good ole dance music and we had a blast hoppin and boppin about!

I’ve worked with both Beasley and Cumulus Broadcasting for a few years and my focus is actually Telecommunications and Public Relations and I was very impressed, but not surprised to be so, with the level of professionalism and adaptability. He was fantastic and the equipment and product was of excellent quality! Several of the event attendees were asking who we used for the DJ service and stated they would be very interested in using Five Star Entertainment for future events.

Again, all aspects of the service were fantastic and I am so glad that we were able to involve Five Star Entertainment as a vendor!

I used Five-Star for my wedding reception and they are "The Best". Mark Pezzella was our DJ and MC for the evening and he is very professional. Everything was so organized, we did not have to worry about anything. They kept the dance floor full the entire evening. We also had the photo booth and it was a big hit with our guest. Five Star was the entertainment service for my daughter's wedding. Considering that this day was not easy for me to begin with, I had a great time watching everyone else make fools of themselves dancing. The ceremony went smoothly and there were several people from Five Star communicating with each other through ear pieces which I thought was smart. The reception was organized and clean and the DJ was very entertaining and was good at getting people to dance. I think the photo booth was a hit with the guests and we got a lot of pictures and memoires to take with us. I would highly recommend Five Star Entertainment.

I booked Five Star Entertainment for my daughter's wedding. I met with the DJ and owner of Five Star several times and found them to be very warm and professional. I appreciated the detailed reception worksheets to help us understand the order of events they had planned for the day but they also were very flexible as we could change or add to the ceremony and reception as we saw fit. Above everything else I was very pleased with the price. Five star entertainment provides a comprehensive entertainment service including music, lighting, photo booth rental and also day-of coordination for free if you sign a contract. Just about any crazy lighting or entertainment request you can think of they will provide. If you book with them, a majority of the work is done. They were incredibly accommodating to me even with the last minute changes I requested. On my wedding day, they were very professional and the DJ was very good at getting a tough crowd to dance.

First impressions mean everything and are lasting impressions. When my fiance' and his family met with 5-star without me, due to working, all I heard about for the next several days was how awesome they were. I got to thinking to myself, I need to meet these guys! My finace' brought home a fully organzied folder with a packet of information for us to fill out about out reception. I instantly liked how organized and explainable all the info was. On our final meet with 5-star, my first time meeting them, I was blown away. It was a mix between the amazing hospitality we received, the organization/planning that they went in depth with or how dedicated they were to making sure we were 100% happy. Upon arrival at our reception, we were immediately met by one of the coordinators, Cody, who walked right up to us and asked what we wanted while we were getting out of the limo. Of course my fiance and his best man said a "Jack and Coke", within 2 minutes a cold one was placed in their hands. The entire evening we were taken care of like royalty by Cody, the DJ and photobooth coordinator. The reception was amazing thanks to them. Every event stayed in order and on time. Not only were we taken care of but our families were too. They were amazing entertainer's and made everyone laugh and feel welcome. I could go on and on about them and their services. It was worth every penny and I would do it all over again. I recommend them any day to anyone. Their service is the best around. HANDS DOWN!

By far the most amazing service presented at our event. We can not thank you enough. You all went above and beyond to make sure everything was in order. I wouldn't have been able to do it without you! I had nightmares and expected to be running around and stressed out of my mind. I was wrong. I was stress free and in excellent hands. I was also working through an injury and you catered to my needs and sudden changes without hesitation. Best part, none of the guests knew and the party never stopped. Thank you!!! Wouldn't recommend anyone else!

Five Star was fantastic! They did a great job with the music for my ceremony and reception. Mark was great as the reception coordinator. He did a wonderful job with keeping our reception on track, but did it without making the wedding seem rushed. The music was great, and all the guests were dancing throughout the night. The anniversary dance was a wonderful touch, and my husband's grandparents were so excited to be the "winning" couple for the night.

Mark and his team did a great job of guiding us through the planning process, and were incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. Sean answered all my questions, and knew what I wanted when I couldn't explain it. Everyone is super friendly, and just amazing at their jobs.

The photobooth was a hit at the wedding; my husband and I really enjoyed looking at all the pictures after the wedding. And the candid photographer was a great touch. My guests really loved seeing their pictures on the video screen after the pictures were taken. And knowing I'll get all those photos online soon is great! My guests are very excited for that. Also, having that extra photographer around was awesome! You can never have enough photos!

I highly recommend five star to do your wedding! They are a very professional company, and are here to make your wedding a great time for everyone. When I first met with Mark, I felt that he wanted me to have an amazing wedding more than I did. And that was something I really needed to hear from a vendor. They will do a great job, and they travel!

We cannot thank you enough for the magnificent job you did with our
wedding ceremony/reception. We appreciate Mark, Sean and the other
Five Star Entertainment staff for being so helpful and attentive
during the planning. Our emails and calls were always answered in a
timely manner. Five Star were always on top of things and offered
great advice but were never pushy. We felt that they took the time to
listen to us to find out what we were envisioning seeing, hearing and
experiencing on our special day.

Special thanks to Sean and Albert for your superb assistance,
professional and caring in dealing with our needs before, during and
after our wedding festivities. The manner that you handled all of the
details for our day allowed us to be able to relax and truly enjoy our
day to the fullest.

Sean and Albert came through in ways that exceeded our expectations.
The music played was great. You were amazing in dealing with last
minutes changes and taking care of small details which made a world of
difference. Your attention to detail resulted in our special day being
perfect.

It was beyond my expectations. Simply amazing. How perfect the lighting was. I chose a Malibu type turquoise and wow!! The reception hall looked so intimate and romantic just perfect! Our guests loved everything! The photo booth was a major hit as well:) I recommend five star for any event!!

Albert was fantastic! He was very professional, courteous, and paid attention to our needs from beginning to end. Even our Dueling Piano performers Ted Oliver Productions was glad to work with him and called me a few days after the wedding to tell me that. We were very please!

Five Star made our wedding the most stress-free environment for me and my husband and our family and friends told us over and over that this was the best wedding that they have ever been to. Highly recommend Mark and his company to provide the lighting and entertainment for any occasion!!

Was a bit pricey but we got exactly what we wanted!!! Great DJ! Lighting was just right!!! I would recommend 5 star to anyone!!!

I recently got married on November 10, 2012 on Fort Bragg. The place we chose to have the reception, was the O'Club, which is not the most beautiful place in the world. The building was large, which was perfect for our guest list of 250. When we had our initial meeting with 5 star, they were extremely kind and patient. They described in detail what could be done for our reception, and how they could make you feel as if you were in a completely different room. What we invisioned, is what was done. It was as if we were in a completely different building. It was truly a fairy tale. We went with purple colored lighting, which looked absolutely beautiful. We also decided to have a cake light, which made the cake pop out! It was the perfect touch. The last thing we added when it came to lighting, was the monogram. They made a few designs, and we were able to choose from there. The DJ made everything flow so perfectly. There was not a glitch in anything. Not only did he keep all of our guest on the floor, but he would check in very often to make sure that my husband and I were ok with everything that was going on. He really had a way of interacting with the guests. There were people dancing that I never thought would be up dancing, which was really nice to see. I had no idea that having the photo booth was going to be such a big hit!!! All of the guests LOVED it! When I returned to work after the honeymoon, my coworkers had all of the pictures in their stands all over the place. They came out beautiful. It was really nice how 5 star provided props and made it fun. I could not have asked for better service. There was no need to worry about how the reception would flow and if our guests were going to enjoy themselves. 5 star took care of everything! I would definitely recommend having them coordinate your wedding.

Our DJ was personable, professional and super fun. He provided the quality DJing/lighting we requested and we were more than thrilled with his work. He had fun along with us which made the atmosphere of our wedding that much more fun!!! Five Star Entertainment did an amazing job before, during and after the wedding and we would definitely recommend them to anyone! Thank you!

From the moment we walked into Marks office, we were impressed with his level of knowledge and professionalism. One of the highlights of our wedding was the photo booth provided by 5 Star. Our guests are STILL talking about it today! We were also given priceless copies of each picture taken and will cherish those memories forever. 6 months after our wedding, Mark is still readily available with any questions we have and has been a tremendous help to us. Not only would we recommend 5 star, we plan to use his services again for our 5 year anniversary party!!!

Mark and his team were incredible on my wedding day! Mark was beyond professional and made sure I and all my guest were happy. He was somehow able to incoporate my family\'s southern beach music taste with my new husband\'s family need for a little polka.
