2.28.26 Treetop Terrace Wedding
We had our wedding ceremony and reception at First Flight Island Restaurant & Brewery upstairs in the Tree Patio Terrace on February 28, 2026, and everything was absolutely beautiful.
We secured our date a little over a year and a half in advance and were in communication with Justin throughout the entire planning process. Justin was incredibly responsive and always answered our questions in a timely manner, even the ones I thought might be silly. As a very Type-A person and a bride who had actually never attended a wedding before (even as a guest!), I was understandably nervous and anxious during the planning process. Justin was always reassuring and handled everything with confidence, which made a huge difference.
We had about 42 guests, and the space was perfect for our group. The bartenders, servers, and banquet captain were all extremely attentive and genuinely kind. Our guests raved about the food and were in awe of the space. Several different groups of our guests went back to First Flight the very next night for dinner because the food was that good!
My husband and I have always felt a special connection to First Flight, and that feeling is even stronger now that we were able to celebrate our wedding there. We did experience some issues with our DJ, who was from an outsourced company, but that did not take away from the wonderful job Justin and the rest of the First Flight staff did to make our day special. Their professionalism, hospitality, and attention to detail truly helped create an unforgettable experience for us and our guests.
First Flight will always hold a special place in our hearts, and my husband and I plan to visit every time we return to Key West. We’re so grateful we were able to celebrate our wedding day there and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful and memorable venue. -

I was so nervous to have a destination reception but Justin and team at First Flight could NOT have been better. The venue, food, and service were absolute perfection, and there are not enough good things I could say. If you’re looking for a unique yet completely Key West venue, this is it. Justin and his team went so far above and beyond to make our day a special one, there hardly seem to be words adequate to describe how happy we are with our experience. A year prior to our (58m, 61m) June 2025 destination wedding, Justin worked very closely with us to ensure every detail was covered. Our event (just over 50 people) took over the entire upstairs of the restaurant: pavilion, terrace, and library. Every piece fell into place perfectly: seating, buffet, decorations, sound system, traffic flow, and all the physical logistics. As anyone who’s planned an event like this can tell you, there are plenty of opportunities for things not to follow plan. If that happened, we never knew about it. Everything about the Caribbean-themed buffet – variety, taste, quantity, accessibility – was amazing. We can’t wait to return to Key West and be regular restaurant customers! If you’re looking for a hassle-free event where every “I” is dotted and every “t” crossed well before it needs to be, First Flight should be your destination. If you have never been to First Flight, make your way over there ASAP. We have always loved this place, so it was only fitting to have our rehearsal dinner there. Justin & Brittanie - we will adore you both for a lifetime. Our rehearsal dinner could have been our wedding based on what you both created. Having Celiac Disease, they accommodated everything to make sure that I could enjoy - which I feel is rare in those larger settings. Don our bartender was the greatest! Everyone here is so kind hearted, knowledgeable and made everything we wished for come true. Thank you all so much for making this day so special for us. We cannot wait to come visit you all again soon!

I was very hesitant when my daughter wanted to get married in Key West. We live in PA, and planning a wedding from a distance made me nervous. I had nothing to be nervous about. Justin and his team did a wonderful job. They know what they are doing. The site is gorgeous, the food fantastic, and the staff friendly and welcoming. First Flight is a 10 out of 10! -

We had our wedding at the tree top terrace at First Flight in May of 2025 and everything was absolutely perfect! Justin Karp, our event manager, made sure everything went exactly to plan and things were so smooth we barely had to think of a thing the entire time and were able to enjoy every minute of our special day. The food was incredible! We went with the island buffet with the whole roasted pig and it was a show stopper! I have never been to a wedding where I heard so many positive compliments about the food from all of the guests. It was so generous and well priced. The bar staff did an amazing job with our custom drink specials as well as the great beer brewed on site. We had the best experience! Highly recommend FF as a place to hold a special event or even just for a fun dining experience or snacks at the cool bar downstairs. -

5 stars doesn’t seem to be enough. The entire experience was top notch. I knew by looking at their website that First Flight was the place to go for destination events. The website has a list of amazing vendors for music, flowers etc. The choices for the pairing of food made the process so simple. Justin Karp and Brittany Markle were awesome to work with. We hosted close to 60 people in the upstairs area with live music and a buffet style dinner. It was a great time. Fun was had by all. I don’t think there is one thing I would have done differently. -

Can’t express enough how helpful the staff and planners were. Justin took control when we were kinda lost on what to order and specifics. Britney also made decisions making very easy for us. We were reassured everything would be perfect, it was more than perfect. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the whole outcome of the evening. Trust the team at First Flight you will not be disappointed.

First Flight Island Restaurant and Brewery was the perfect location for our wedding reception. Justin and Brittanie were amazing throughout the entire planning process leading up to the big day. Easy and efficient
Love this venue! It needs minimal decor because its beautiful all on its own. Working with Justin was so effortless. Within one conversation he saw our vision and made it happen. They were so flexible with our menu and untraditional timeline. The food and drinks were also incredible. Our wedding day was perfect from start to finish. I highly recommend them. -

As a local wedding planner I recommend First Flight to all of my clients - it is one of the few venues that offers a real feel of Key West rather than a resort feel. The trees, garden, and magical lights (just 1 block off Duval) offers a unique ceremony/reception that includes all the aspects you will need, brick flooring (so no dance floor needed) string lights all over (so no need to add) when contracting the 1st floor - wood top tables that are set in feasting table format and unique metal chairs - just add a little decor to the tables and you are set for your party. Staff, Food, and Service exceptional. -

Absolutely loved our rehearsal dinner at First Flight! We worked with Justin to make this dinner welcoming and to show case one of the reason's we love Key West! The food was mouth watering and delicious! While planning with Justin, we were able to accommodate different dietary restrictions while making sure everyone had a great time! Each of the staff members that worked our event were kind and went over the top on their customer care! Everyone I talked to after the event raved about the food and the desert! Can’t say enough about this beautiful place. The treetop terrace was perfect for our small wedding of 35 people and was absolutely stunning. Event managers Justin and Brittanie were incredibly responsive and made sure everything was going seamlessly. They checked in with us frequently to make sure we were doing well. The entire First Flight team was so professional throughout and made sure all the guests were taken care of at all times. We had guests with food allergies and a lot of care was taken to ensure their safety. Food and drinks were excellent! Our family and friends are still raving about the food. -

It was a pleasure to work with Justin and Brittanie at First Flight on our rehearsal dinner. We had 55+ people spread across the entire upstairs space, and Justin helped us pick out the best menu for a "heavy apps" meal. Their preset and provided tables, linens, existing lighting, etc. made it stress-free for us planning this from the East Coast, and we were able to just add some decor items on the day-of. I can't speak to hosting a wedding here, but if you're considering doing your rehearsal dinner, I highly, highly recommend it! -

We had both. my son and daughter in law's rehearsal dinner and reception at First Flight. We are out of state and had to plan the entire event on line or by phone. Justin and his team handled EVERY last detail for us. I even dropped off a bag of items for the rehearsal dinner with NO explanation of what I wanted done with those items expecting to do it myself that night. I showed up to have everything done EXACTLY how I wanted. The food is BEYOND amazing. Justin and his team checked on me repeatedly during both events to make sure everything was ok and I was happy with the service. The space was decorated beautifully and I was thrilled with everything. Thank you FIRST FLIGHT. -

We had our wedding reception at First Flight on March 22nd, 2024 and it ended up being a VERY rainy day. Although we were not able to have our dinner reception in the outside terrace area as we had planned, they had it beautifully set up in the covered area upstairs, and let me tell you, Justin and the whole team went above and beyond to make sure everything was seamless and flowed smoothly! We cannot thank them enough for everything they did in order to make our wedding day perfect. Despite the rain, we all had the best time ever, the service was on point everyone was very attentive and friendly, and the food was incredible (many of our guests mentioned that it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding)! Justin and the whole team were on top of every detail from beginning to end! I know they had to work extra hard because of the weather, with moving tables around to open up the dance floor to managing the flow of cocktail hour with the space we had. We are forever grateful for Justin Karpp and the entire team that made our day extra special! If you are considering First Flight for your big day, or any event, do not hesitate to book them - you will not be disappointed! -

We had our wedding welcome party at the private Treetop Terrace at First Flight and all I can say is WOW. The venue space, atmosphere, food, and staff were all above and beyond our expectations, and it was truly the perfect evening. We had never actually been to the venue and booked it solely based on photos and reviews online, and I couldn't be happier that we did. Once we arrived and saw the space in person, we could not stop talking about how great it was - the photos online don't do justice to how dreamy and cute it is. The tropical vibes, the string lights, and being on the treetop balcony during sunset made it the welcome party of our dreams. Justin and his team were so helpful, accommodating, and great at communicating leading up to the event, and our guests ranted and raved about how much they loved the venue and the food. We had about 70 guests and the space was plenty spacious, while still feeling cozy and intimate. Everyone had the BEST time, and I wish I could re-live this night all over again! -

We held our wedding at First Flight and it was perfect from the beginning to the end! Justin and his staff took care of everything.
Our guests were so impressed with the setting of our wedding. We feel like it encapsulated the Key West vibe. The staff set up everything for us and the service during the ceremony and reception was exceptional. Whenever I had a question, Justin got back to me right away-very much appreciated when you are planning a wedding long distance. We had our intimate wedding dinner/reception at First Flight in the Treetop Terrace and it blew us out of the water! We barely had to bring any decor since they provided tables, linens, centerpieces, ambiance and the classic Key West greenery. The whole venue is very scenic and gave us everything we were looking for in Key West venue. Justin and the team really went out of their way to make sure my husband and I had everything we needed and suggested things that we didn't even think about! The food was also excellent - we went with the Caribbean Nights buffet option and everyone was talking about the roasted pork all night! -

First Flight did an outstanding job with our destination wedding. We had about 70 guests in the Canopy Garden, and the event was seamlessly orchestrated thanks to the help of Jackie, Justin, and the entire First Flight staff. Everyone was so great to work with, the service was stellar, and Jackie and Justin were both so friendly and responsive throughout our entire planning process! Despite being 1,600 miles away, they helped to make planning a breeze.
First Flight as a venue is pretty unique. The Canopy Garden is gorgeous. From the beautiful palms and lush greenery, to the historic (and covered!) airplane wing bar, it offers a fun Key West vibe while still being beautiful and elegant for your special event. The venue is laid out nicely for guests and offers both outdoor and indoor accommodations for them to suit their fancy.
The food was FANTASTIC!!! I’ve never been to a wedding with such an impressive menu. We went with the Conch Republic Buffet and it was truly out of this world good. The open bar package included fun, yummy drinks like Key Lime Margarita, Key West Rum Punch, Old Fashioned, Moscow Mule, etc. (plus all their original beers!) If providing great food and drink to your guests is important to you, look no further than First Flight. It simply cannot be beat.
Looking back a couple months later, I wouldn’t change a thing about our venue selection. Everything was top notch, and the First Flight team we worked with made the experience even better. If you want a naturally gorgeous space that embraces all things Key West for your wedding, with phenomenal food and attentive, professional staff, I highly recommend First Flight! -

I spent a year planning my wedding which was just over a week ago (12/12/23). First Flight was recommended to us by a friend who lives in Key West. I could not have asked for a better venue to have had my wedding at! Seriously such a beautiful place and the vibe is awesome. Just the right amount of classy and fun. The food was absolutely incredible! I usually don’t enjoy the dinners at weddings, but ours was so good and the apps were phenomenal. We did the bacon wrapped scallops, jerk chicken skewers, coconut shrimp, empanadas, brisket mac n cheese, and the wings and everything was incredible. Justin helped me the whole way through with every detail I planned and was so helpful. The drinks were sooo good too. I loved that we were off of the street it was so fun to have people cheering us on while they walked by. I would recommend this place to anyone, seriously 10/10 -

From the communication with Justin-to the food- to the set up of the upstairs area for our reception. I cant even begin to describe just how perfect this spot is for weddings. My profession is essentially food- and let me tell you, this is not your average wedding food. its EXCEPTIONAL. Every guest told me how great the buffet was. The bar service was wonderful as well! altogether well worth it no matter the cost. -

Our Key west wedding.
We couldn't have been happier with our choice of First Flight Restaurant and Brewery for our wedding reception. This place holds a special spot in our hearts, as we've always enjoyed visiting whenever we're in the Keys. The food and ambiance have consistently impressed us, so when we discovered they had a Treetop terrace, we knew it was the perfect place for our special day.
The reality surpassed our expectations; the grounds were rustic yet exuded an elegant charm that was absolutely perfect for our celebration. The pictures truly didn't do it justice.
The food and venue were both stunning, and our family couldn't stop raving about how beautiful everything was. From the moment we walked in, we were captivated by the atmosphere, and it set the stage for a magical evening.
We had the pleasure of working with Justin and his team, and they were amazing throughout the entire event. The day went off without a hitch. We are incredibly grateful for their hard work and expertise, which made our wedding an unforgettable experience.

After 20 years together we decided to make it legal with a wedding at our favorite place, Key West. The team at First Flight, particularly Justin, Jackie, and Danielle were awesome. Their vendor list was very helpful too. We're foodies and their food options and quality were top notch. I highly recommend them to anyone planning a wedding in Key West. -

First Flight was a dream for our wedding. Jackie handled everything flawlessly! My husband is a pilot and First Flight was the perfect theme for the venue. Our guests loved the atmosphere, the string lights, and continue to talk about the food and drinks. 110% recommend for a reasonably priced yet amazing venue that still have our guests raving over our wedding! -

First Flight was an amazing space for us to have our welcome party the night before our wedding! Jackie and the entire staff was amazing with planning/set-up/the full event. I held my destination wedding welcome party here in the upstairs location. I booked the venue sight unseen from photos and after talking to Jackie, the head events person. Jackie was very helpful with explaining options and helping to choose food. The event itself was more beautiful than I could have imagined, I just used the house decor which was simple and elegant, and the event ran so smoothly I had no worries and just enjoyed myself. I highly recommend Jackie and first flight! -

Words cannot DESCRIBE how amazing our wedding was this past weekend at First Flight. From the start, Jackie, the events manager, was easy to talk with and made planning a wedding from across the country easy and stress-free.
The wedding itself...where where to begin? The courtyard was unbelievably beautiful, the lighting was romantic but not too dark (we had a night wedding), all of the staff working there was friendly and provided excellent customer service, and the FOOD. Omg the food. We had so many guests come up to us and tell us it was by far the best wedding food they've ever had. One guest said "I had almost this exact meal somewhere else the other night, spent a ton of money, and it wasn't even close to as good as this food was".
Everything was so organized, beautiful, and well done. The layout was perfect and the grounds were gorgeous. I can't say enough good things about this beautiful place. If you're looking for a fun but romantic setting for your KW wedding - here's your place!!! THANK YOU FIRST FLIGHT! -

Our First Flight wedding was perfect in every way! We chose the rooftop patio/pavilion space for both the ceremony and cocktail reception, and we couldn’t have picked a better spot. From the first inquiry to the last sip of champagne, First Flight managed the planning and execution flawlessly.
Planning a wedding from out of state comes with its share of obvious challenges, but Jackie and the rest of the event staff made me feel supported every step of the way. They worked with us to offer creative ideas for our menu and timeline, and they suggested great third party vendors for our other needs.
The event itself was beautiful, the food was delicious and well presented (the ahi tuna carving station was a big hit, and my personal favorite!) We opted for no wedding cake, but the mini key lime dessert cups were absolutely delicious and a crowd favorite.
For us, though, it’s always the people that ultimately make or break how we feel about an event like that. Every person working our event went above and beyond to deliver excellent service with kindness…it felt like they were all there with us as our friends, which makes all the difference in the world.
I can’t thank them enough for taking our special day to a level we never could have expected. We will never forget the magical time we shared together at First Flight! -

Amazing Key West wedding
Jackie was absolutely amazing! She helped me with all of the details I needed and made my destination wedding dreams come true. My guests raved about the food and true to Key West venue. First Flight is literally the best venue for anyone looking for an intimate wedding on the terrace or a larger one in their main space! -

Best day ever at the best venue ever!
Don't look any further for wedding venues in Key West! First Flight has it ALL and Jackie was incredible throughout the whole planning process and day-of coordination. We got married here on 4-3-22 and bought out the entire place (for a wedding of 120~ guests) utilizing the upstairs and downstairs for seated buffet dinner style. The food was absolutely incredible and continue to receive tons of compliments on it from our guests. The venue being tucked away off Whitehead street, far enough from the bustle of Duval, made it feel like we were in our own tropical hideaway. The drinks were fabulous and the service was outstanding. Also, it being a one stop shop was even more attractive for destination wedding planning purposes and eliminated the headache of coordinating extra food & beverage vendors. We wish we could go back and relive it all over again! Can't wait to visit again on our anniversary! Thank you Jackie and the First Flight crew for making our wedding dreams come true - we can't recommend you enough. -

We had our ceremony and reception for 40 people upstairs at first flight. The whole process was seamless and Jackie and team made the experience unforgettable. I would recommend First Flight to anyone and everyone!

Best day of my life
I don’t even know where to start. Everyone at first flight went above and beyond to make our wedding day soo special. The photos honestly don’t do it justice. I cried when I saw the venue all set up for the ceremony. And I cried again when they flipped the venue for the reception.
The food was to die for. I always had a drink in my hand (they literally just kept them coming). Our guests are still raving about their experience. And Jackie was just the sweetest and soo patient (thank you, Jackie 💕).
Oh! And they’re dog friendly!!! And wheelchair accessible! -

We hosted our wedding (ceremony & reception) this past weekend at First Flight and it was flawless. Jackie assisted with the planning process a year prior with all communication along the way being easy breezy. She offered advice for local vendors that all were fantastic, friendly, and affordable. Day of the event, the team at the venue made the wedding move fluidly, from arrival to cake cutting. Also- the food & beverages were delicious! Our guests raved about it all night long! We booked First Flight as our ceremony and reception venue almost 2 years ago and it was one of the easiest/best decisions we made for our wedding!
Jackie and her team were so helpful and accommodating throughout the whole process and we can’t even put into words how appreciative we are of them. The venue is beautiful and encompasses the laid back vibe of Key West that we were looking for, the food and drinks are absolutely delicious, and it’s incredibly evident that the staff loves hosting weddings by the genuine service and care we received.
Everyone kept telling us that this was one of the top weddings they had ever been guests at and I believe that was largely due to the First Flight team.
I will definitely be recommending First Flight as a venue for anyone looking for a Keys wedding and it is a permanent stop for our future trips down

We had our wedding rehearsal dinner at First Flight Restaurant upstairs on the outside patio space. The space was massive could hold an entire wedding reception between the outside patio and covered pavilion. We had about 50 people at our dinner could definitely hold more. The space is private from the rest of the restaurant which is nice... no need to worry about random restaurant guests walking through your private event. We worked with Jackie the event coordinator of the restaurant she was amazing definitely recommend. Very responsive to emails and phone calls answered all my questions. Worked online in a personalized portal with all of our information for the event. Food was amazing and the meal selection is endless. Very accommodating to our last minute shrinking dinner party size due to Covid they credited us toward the bar. The night of our rehearsal dinner we had Brittanie who was great and very attentive to our needs and making announcements. Very organized venue and staff no issues. Definitely recommend for any catered event. -

A Truly Amazing Experience!
Jackie and the staff are amazing! The whole process was better than we could have ever imagined from start to finish!
My husband and I first got the idea to have our wedding at First Flight when we were visiting Key West for the night and First Flight was closed for a wedding. We ended up across the street for a drink and watched a fun wedding taking place in the garden. We both said how cool it would be to have a Key West wedding, but never thought it would actually happen.
When we started wedding planning during the worst of COVID, we dreamed about having a smaller destination wedding and I reached out to First Flight to inquire about their offerings. Jackie responded right away answering all of our questions and offered to set up a phone call to go over things further. We also appreciated checking out Jackie’s Instagram to see how other couples had used the space and that they had hosted LGBTQ+ couples in the past. After that call we knew we had found our venue, and an amazing coordinator to make our vision for our perfect day a reality.
We did most of our planning over the phone and e-mail and Jackie made us feel at ease planning things from a thousand miles away.
When we decided to add a welcome party the night before, she was able to help us plan that as well at Bagatelle. We did stop by one year before the wedding and she showed us around the Treetop Terrace and Bagatelle Moon Lounge and treated us to dinner and drinks to get a taste of the amazing food. We knew we were in good hands and were super excited for next year!
As the big day got closer, Jackie makes sure all the details are accounted for. We made our menu selections, went over the order of the evening, and discussed the decor. All we did was drop off our decor and the rest was handled for us!
Our wedding day was more than we could have ever imagined! Everyone at First Flight went above and beyond to make the evening so special. They decorated the space even better than we had planned. When we arrived after our Lighthouse ceremony, all we had to do was party! The bar staff were great and kept all the guests happy with our signature cocktails. Brittanie did a great job running the show that night and kept the evening running smoothly. Everyone had an awesome time and the biggest compliment we kept hearing over and over from our guests was how it was the BEST wedding food they’ve ever had!(especially the coconut rice!) and how it was the most fun wedding they have been to!
If we had to do it all over again I would pick First Flight again hands down! Jackie and her team will make your dreams a reality and they have a great group of “Friendors” to recommend for any of your wedding day needs, and the food is amazing! -

My husband and I recently got married in Key West and had our dinner reception in the Treetop Terrace at First Flight. We could not have imagined a better setting, friendlier staff or a smoother process than the one we had. Jackie Gibson was an absolute pleasure to work with while planning a destination wedding. She promptly answered any questions we had, provided us with extremely helpful suggestions and was on-site on our wedding day to make sure everything went as planned. All of our wedding guests raved about the amazing food, drinks, service and atmosphere. We would not change a thing about our wedding day, and Jackie along with all the staff at First Flight played a huge role in making our day perfect. -

Jackie and the First Flight restaurant and team was the best part of our wedding experience, hands down. My husband and I planned our reception at First Flight before booking anything else because we weren't really sure we wanted a wedding ceremony but knew we wanted an amazing party for all our favorite people. As soon as we got in contact with Jackie, we knew having our wedding at First Flight was the best decision we were going to make. Jackie is extremely attentive, available, patient, and accommodating. I felt like she treated our wedding (which could be the 1,000th wedding she's organized for all I know) like it was *the* wedding, as if it would personally affect them if it wasn't exactly what I envisioned, like it could make or break them as a a wedding venue, like it was the only wedding they were working on. And I mean all of that as THE GREATEST COMPLIMENT because no bride wants to feel like just another event or email or appointment on the books (especially considering we didn't have a large wedding and weren't exactly throwing excessive amounts of money at them). I know Jackie and her team know their space like the back of their hands but they still brought out the measuring tape and diagrams to make sure the layout was perfect based on my comments and requests. She was always timely in her email responses and texts the weeks and days leading up to the big event. We changed our guest count, table layout, and even menu a few times and I was so worried I was driving her crazy but she was unfazed.
Most importantly, I will be honest and say we didn't have a perfect wedding day- we ultimately did decide to have a traditional wedding ceremony at a separate location and things went wrong and balls got dropped and timelines were lost and I was feeling crushed, but the moment my husband and I walked up to our reception Jackie greeted us with a smile, a drink and asked how she could make it better and we immediately knew things were going to turn around. And they really, really did. The food was absolutely fabulous, the bartenders and staff kept up with my guests (even my wild mother) and the Canopy Garden was perfectly lit and just exactly the effortlessly chic and fun relaxed party we were looking for. I could go on and on and on about how truly awesome the night was. Thank you, Jackie and the rest of the First Flight team. You gave us the wedding we actually dreamed of from the very beginning. We love you and can't thank you enough. -

We held a welcome party at First Flight (in lieu of a rehearsal dinner) for all 88 of our guests and I cannot recommend them enough.
Jackie Gibson, the event coordinator, was a dream to work with from the jump; she was responsive, flexible, gave great recommendations, had the place looking incredible and was on site during the event to make sure everything went smoothly - she was a great partner in planning our event.
We held a cocktail style event on the upstairs/rooftop part of the restaurant and the venue itself was beautiful, with tons of tropical plants and great views of the streets below and surrounding trees. First Flight also provided the tables, linens and decorations for the event which all looked great. Most importantly the space easily accommodated our large group of 90, giving our guests plenty of space to spread out and mingle, grab drinks/food and enjoy themselves.
Our guests also raved about the food and drinks at the event, we especially enjoyed getting to sip on First Flight's house made brews as part of the alcohol package. The entire staff did a great job of making sure the bar didn't back up and food got out in a quick and orderly fashion and was extremely polite.
Overall we couldn't have asked for a better place to have our event, from Jackie, to the staff, to the venue, to the food/drink - everything exceeded our expectations and we can't thank the entire First Flight team enough for all their hard work. If you are looking for a great place to hold your rehearsal dinner, welcome party, wedding or any event - I can't recommend First Flight enough! -

April 2021 wedding
My husband and I were married on April 16, 2021 and our reception was at First Flight. I cannot say enough about how perfect this venue was and how amazing Jackie and her staff was to work with. After having to reschedule our wedding 3 times because of Covid, Jackie went above and beyond to make our wedding day perfect. Planning a destination wedding can be a difficult process, but Jackie and the team at first flight truly make it a painless and enjoyable process. We will be back each and every year to remember our magical day. I HIGHLY recommend any bride to check out what they have to offer. -

Jackie Gibson and the entire First Flight team blew us away and truly delivered everything we were looking for in a wedding venue. From the gorgeous, lush historic outdoor setting to the large, open-air bar, delicious food, and amazing service, we could not be happier with how our Key West wedding turned out. Over the course of the year+ of planning (during a pandemic!), Jackie kept in touch every step of the way, answering all our questions and quelling any concerns. We had our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception in the Canopy Garden and Crash Bar. With about 50 guests, there was plenty of space and different areas to make everything feel open and flowing but still intimate and contained. The location also could not be better (a short walk to Mallory Square, Sloppy Joe's, etc). 1000% would recommend!

Best wedding ever
Where do we even start?! Having a wedding in the times of COVID could’ve been stressful, but Jackie at First Flight made it feel like any normal time for wedding planning. She was so helpful and kind and organized. When we had to postpone from April to December, Jackie made it so easy! She is such an expert! She made sure to give us all of her recommendations to fill our wedding with love in the middle of a pandemic when it felt like nothing else could go right. Planning a wedding from across the country could’ve been difficult but it was so simple with all of her help. When the week came, Jackie and Bobby spent 4 days helping us and entertaining us to make sure the day would be perfect! The wedding was absolutely gorgeous and not a single thing didn’t happen as planned. I’ve heard that at least one thing will go wrong at your wedding - but every single thing about our wedding was perfect thanks to First Flight and the entire team. Jackie wasn’t just a great coordinator that day, she also made sure we ate, drank and had an enjoyable time ourselves! She doesn’t know it yet but she’s for sure stuck with us as friends for life. I actually didn’t get to try the coconut shrimp at our wedding so we went back the following day to see if we could try it, and even though it wasn’t on the menu Bobby made it special for us. The service, food, drinks, just everything was so fantastic and I couldn’t imagine spending our wedding at any other venue with any other people! -

Wedding Reception or Date Night, First Flight is a MUST
It can be challenging to plan a wedding reception and it can be harder when the wedding is out of state. It’s something completely different when it’s also the middle of a pandemic with a hurricane on the way. Me and my now husband were nervous as a many number of things could have gone wrong, changed, or been hindered by another 2020 moment. However, First Flight in Key West not only made our reception come together seamless, organized, and safe; but it was truly a highlight of the year for us and everyone we invited as a moment to celebrate love.
First and foremost, I’d like to say that the staff here is unmatched by any that we had while visiting Key West. Jackie, who helped us organize our reception, gave us Disney World level customer service. She was able to help us plan the event, took most if not all our requests, and was knowledgeable with helping us make some important decisions (THAT TENT CAME IN CLUTCH!) She also helped make us feel secure that, with all the unknowns that could have been, we would be able to celebrate our big day safely and without worry. Throughout the evening, all the staff was friendly, accommodating, and safe with all the standard Covid-19 safety practices in place, none of which hindered or took us out of the fun we had.
The food was incredible! Being from New Jersey, we were not able to come taste anything until the week of the wedding. So if you are traveling from out of state, rest assured that the food and drinks here are amazing; so much so we had to come back after our wedding reception just as regular customers to try more of what we didn’t get to!
The only hiccup was towards the end of the night where their new speaker system had some technical issues and could not play the music we had brought. However, they were able to accommodate the issue and by that point everyone was having so much fun it wasn’t even a worry.
From food and service, to the smaller details of our decorations and cake, our wedding reception was perfect, and we are so fortunate we got to celebrate here. So if you are looking for an atmospheric dinner with your date or want to plan an event with family and friends, First Flight should be the only place you need to look. Our experience here has made First Flight a staple for us when we visit from now on. We can’t wait to come back!

Amazing venue for ceremony and reception
We had our wedding ceremony and reception at First Flight and we couldn’t be happier with our decision! Planning a destination wedding is always a bit challenging but Jackie was so great in helping us plan everything! Unfortunately, on our wedding day, we had terrible weather and tons of rain, but Jackie and her team moved everything inside and it couldn’t have been more beautiful. Everything went seamlessly - from the ceremony to the cocktail hour to dinner and dancing. We have received so many compliments from our guests on how great the venue was, how much fun they had and how beautiful everything was. I can’t recommend this venue enough! -

Where do we even begin?? I want to move to Key West, just so we can become friends with Jackie and the team at First Flight. We first came to First Flight back in Dec 2016 (when it was still Kelly's) and when we got engaged and began planning our destination wedding, we quickly landed on First Flight to host our reception. We live in the DC area, so needed to a lot from afar. Jackie (and Brittanie) made everything SO easy. They allowed us to ship things to the venue, helped assemble things for us, stored items, etc etc. We could not have done this without them. The food was delicious, our wine and beer selection was great and the terrace was the perfect size for our wedding of 40 people. If you are looking for a private, relaxed, but fun setting for a smaller wedding, I highly recommend First Flight! Thank you for everything! -

First Flight Island Restaurant and Brewery was the perfect venue for our 75-Guest Welcome party! We rented out the Treetop Terrace and it was the ideal backdrop to kick off our wedding weekend - the location is in the center of the Key West action, and the rooftop space is beautifully tropical and the epitome of the KW charm.
Jackie Gibson was amazing to work with and helped us coordinate every detail to a T. They even had us all set up to plug in our own phone (a 90's Spotify playlist), which was a hit. Furthermore, they were accommodating and flexible - even letting us extend the open bar an addition amount we chose beyond our pre-set 2-hour block...clearly, nobody wanted the party to end at First Flight.
The space was idyllic, the staff and service was magnificent, and the selection of passed hors' doeuvres were a hit. Kudos and big thanks to Jackie and the whole team at First Flight for a wedding weekend kickoff that surpassed our expectations! There were countless compliments from our guests, and we 100% recommend First Flight and their variety of spaces for any similar type event!
