Great DJ for wedding

Michael was excellent. He was a super communicator. He asked lots of questions to make sure he had everything he needed to make our day a success. He made things smooth and easy. The day of, he stepped in when the coordinator dropped the ball and helped keep our schedule going the best that he could. He said all the right things at the right time and even came to check in with us right before the first dance. I totally recommend him for your DJ!

Amazing wedding DJ!

Michael did our wedding and it was perfect. He was so kind and great to work with and was very engaging throughout our whole wedding. Awesome DJ and would recommend anyone to book him for their wedding or event!

Amazing DJ!

First Dance DJs was the perfect choice for us! Everyone loved the music and had a great time. Michael also did a great job of getting us back on track with our timeline and keeping everything moving smoothly after we had a late start to the ceremony due to hair and makeup taking a little longer than expected.

Absolutely amazing

Michael was responsive and professional. We had a different DJ lined up, but we ultimately had to find someone else because the original guy we hired never sent us a contract or returned our emails. Needless to say, working with Michael was refreshing because he made you feel as though your event mattered. The personalization of the playlist was wonderful. He was extremely friendly and stuck to the timeline to a T! I highly recommend First Dance!

Easy to Work With & Fun!

Michael was so easy to work with and fun to work with. He made sure we stayed on track and on time without overwhelming me. He made sure to get what I wanted done and made me feel like it was on my time! He would come tell me "2 minutes until this" or "4 minutes and cake cutting". I really appreciated how much he communicated with me so that I was prepared for the next thing each time it happened! Plus the dance floor was so fun! He played the best jams!

The Absolute BEST

Michael is amazing. He made recommendations, gave excellent advice, and is just so kind and charismatic. My MIL loved him at another wedding and my mother LOVED him at my wedding. The songs are all danceable (not cheesy) and he found all of my random songs I wanted to play for the grand entrances/first dance (sentimental songs to me). I did not think I wanted a final, private dance but that ended up being my favorite part of the night. Michael also saved me from my overthinking self by creating a workable schedule for the night (thank you, thank you!!)

I can’t say enough great things about Michael!! Having a DJ was a decision we made as our wedding day grew closer, and I am so thankful we decided to! He has such a great personality, very professional, easy to work with, and an awesome music selection. I wanted to honor my parents since our day was also their wedding anniversary, and Michael found the most perfect way to do that. He MC’d our shoe game and made it so much fun! I seriously can’t tell you enough how grateful we were to have him there. With first Dance DJ’s you can relax knowing this part of your wedding will be more than taken care of, and that is such a great feeling!!

AMAZING! Our daughter just got married and Michael was our DJ. She’s a musician, so very particular about music and Michael did not disappoint. Everyone was on the dance floor having a great time! We highly recommend his services.

First Dance DJ’s was the RIGHT choice!!! Michael is extremely professional, has years of experience, flexible with changes, and reads the crowd well to keep the fun going all night long!!! Make sure you book him before he gets booked by someone else!

During my search for a DJ, my biggest fear was selecting a cheesy DJ. After hours of searching online, I came across First Dance DJ’s and noticed they have the highest reviews anywhere I searched. I came to the point in the wedding planning process where I had to stop searching for options and start making decisions, so I reached out to get a quote. Michael’s response was extremely excited and professional, and he had already taken the liberty of setting up an online profile for me in high hopes he would become our DJ. Most DJ’s respond back with huge paragraphs or documents to look through but Michael was very short, sweet and down to business. I was so impressed I booked him within the week!

To impress me further, Michael initiated an in-person meeting soon after booking, as he feels meeting his brides will yield an even better experience. He helped me go over the first version of our wedding timeline over coffee at Starbucks. This helped me feel full confidence in choosing him as our wedding DJ and threw all fears of hiring a cheesy group out the window.

Now the wedding day, although Michael didn’t begin playing until 5:30/6 pm he was eager and willing to setup early and help by playing background music or making announcements any time he could. During the reception, he kept up with the timeline when possible and worked around our unexpected occurrences flawlessly. My husband let the DJ know at the beginning of the cocktail hour that he had a dance planned and to switch a few songs around and Michael had no problem making the changes last minute and executing correctly.

Really look no further for any DJ/band/etc.
Michael is the BEST - so much more then just a guy playing songs! He’s a great MC and helps keep everything flowing! He will help you choose songs, plan the flow of the night and even throw some fun in there if you are game for some pranks!!

We knew that a good DJ is a key to a great wedding and Michael Furr didn't disappoint. He kept the party going with good music selection, creative ideas, and high energy. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to have a reception with lots of dancing and hyped guests. Also I thought that the pricing was very reasonable for the quality of the service.

Mike was FANTASTIC!!! He was incredibly helpful, and showed up early (which is always nice). Our playlist for the day wasn't complete, so Mike chose songs to fill in those gaps. This helped take stress off the wedding process. He kept the night on schedule and kept the guests laughing! Michael Furr was amazing! We couldn't have asked for a better DJ to make our wedding top notch. Michael went above and beyond in every aspect - he made sure every detail was perfect. At one point during the ceremony, our day-of coordinator (who lacked in many tasks throughout the night) brought out our glow sticks and light up rings (that she said she would have ready to go). Well, the rings weren't lighting up and the glow sticks weren't glowing. Michael rushed over to help me crack all of the glow sticks and turn on the light up rings. He kept the timeline on track and kept me updated with everything - when the bouquet toss would be, when it was time for the father/daughter dance, etc. He was very professional and such a joy to work with.

Michael was a dream to work with throughout our wedding planning process. He took the time to get to know us and what style of music we liked so that he could personalize our playlist. Mike was an amazing DJ! All of our family and friends commented on how much fun our wedding was, everyone danced, and he made the night glide through effortlessly. Mike worked with us to compile a broad range of music, and aided in those special songs for the cake cutting and other little moments. One of my favorite suggestions he made was to pick a last dance song specifically for my husband and I, while everyone else was getting lined up for our send off. It was those last precious moments that allowed my husband and I to relish in our wedding day. I honestly do not have enough good things to say about Mike and the First Dance DJ company!

Michael Furr was the DJ at our wedding. He did an amazing job!!! He played all the songs that we wanted and knew what kind of style we liked based on our choices. He did the music for the ceremony and the reception and he was just wonderful. When he made announcements for our entrance into the reception and the cutting of the cake he did such a nice job and has a great voice. I was not a very organized bride, because of that Michael had to improvise a few moments and did a fabulous job. I have told many people how great he was, if anyone is looking for the perfect wedding DJ, these services are absolutely the best! I highly recommend First Dance DJs!

We were so happy we went with Michael and First Dance DJ's! Not only was Michael very professional, but we felt that he genuinely wanted our wedding to be the best. He was so helpful in helping us pick out our songs and basically took care of everything. The planning process was very smooth and he was very responsive in communicating. He really is very knowledgeable as a DJ and had some great advice for us in our choices and plans. He took the time to get to know us a little bit and catered the songs to what he thought we, and the guests, would enjoy, and we certainly were very happy with his song choices. He definitely made our wedding memorable. We would recommend Michael and First Dance DJ's for any event!

Book Michael for your wedding or event... I promise you won't regret it! Through the whole wedding planning process and wedding day, he was such a pleasure to work with! He is truly amazing at what he does and he made our wedding reception an absolute blast for everyone! It's been two weeks now, and I still have people telling me it was the best wedding they had ever been to! He is very nice, patient, helpful, calming (to a very stressed out bride), and of course a wonderful DJ! He was always open to questions and quick to respond and he was very flexible (even when our New Orleans native guests requested the second line dance - which is something he was not familiar with). Everything was perfect down to the littlest detail and we couldn't be happier with our choice of having Michael as a part of our wedding. He's absolutely phenomenal!!

Working with Michael was such a great experience!! I was nervous that the dance floor would be empty at our wedding (no idea why!), but this was definitely not a problem! Michael played the best music and all of our guests had a blast. He also offered additionally suggestions for activities throughout the night and those were a hit! Definitely consider First Dance DJ's and Michael Furr when looking for a DJ!

Michael was our Dj and from the very first contact he was extremely professional and responsive. As a musician, I had very high expectations for how the ceremony music was timed out and a few extra requests and Michael pulled all of them off without the slightest hitch. It was absolutely perfect! They truly care about you as a client and they WANT your day to be as amazing as you've always dreamed. He worked seemlessly with our videographer and minister for all audio / mic needs. The reception was a BLAST. We got to pick our favorite songs and as an emcee he helped the movement of the night go great, especially working within about a 30 minute late start due to traffic. We got to pick out the most beautiful lighting and monogram for the reception, and he matched the color of the wall lights to my bridesmaids dresses (MINT GREEN PEOPLE!). They are a superb company that puts 110% into every part of the planning process and the Wedding itself. Would recommend them to EVERYONE!

We had Cory as our DJ and he was great, could really read a crowd and I got many compliments on how awesome the playlist was for the wedding. I didn't even really choose many of the songs just gave Cory a genre of what we would like and what we wanted for the wedding. He was awesome and I would recommend this group, and especially Cory for any type of event.

Michael was our DJ for our wedding on 10/09/15 and he was super awesome! I had only met Michael once before at a bridal fair but when he saw us on the big day before the ceremony, it was like we were saying hi to an old friend! He is great at what he does, and knows exactly what songs to play to get the dance floor packed!! He is interactive but not awkward or overbearing, which is exactly what we were looking for. I would recommend Michael and First Dance DJs to ANYONE looking for a great DJ for their wedding or event. You won't be disappointed!

We gave first dance Djs an idea of the genre of music that we liked and he played great music all night long that kept everyone on the dance floor!! We kept in touch through e mail and he was quick to respond every time! He also helped mix a special song for the father daughter dance not only once but twice so that it was perfect for us. He also helped remind me of a couple minor details I had forgotten about, and picked the perfect song for our last dance of the night together! We would highly recommend first dance Djs!

Cory was our DJ and he was an absolute hit. Beginning with the ceremony, he played every song perfectly and moved to the next one seamlessly (bridesmaids to bride, etc). We wanted our first dance to not be quite as long so we started in a second verse and he set that up perfectly as well. And once the party started he felt like part of it with perfect transitions and a great mix of songs. The setup was perfect – with the venue being a Victorian B&B I didn’t want a whole lot of lighting and he pulled it off perfectly. Everyone walked away talking about the DJ and how much of a perfect party it was. Thanks, Cory, for helping us throw the celebration our friends will be talking about for a while! ~ The Terrells

Michael was amazing from day one!!! He set up a meeting to go over every song for the wedding and even worked with the coordinator to make sure everything ran smoothly through the night. Michael even approached me periodically through the night to start the bouquet toss, father daughter dance, and even made sure I had time to get a quick bite to eat in!! He was amazing and worth every penny to have him at my wedding. Thank you so much for everything Michael!!

Oh my goodness he was amazing!! I absolutely loved him! He kept it fun and played our favorite songs! He also provided uplighting! He did absolutely everything for our ceremony and reception and I was majorly impressed by him! I am recommending First Dance D.J.'s to everyone! In fact my parents are using them for their wedding!

Michael was the DJ for our wedding and he did an incredible job! We wanted more of a low key wedding, but still really wanted a DJ that could help the wedding reception flow smoothly and have a fun vibe to it. Michael listened to our ideas for the songs we wanted and important pieces of the reception we envisioned. He did great with our music for the ceremony, too. He made sure all of our requests happened throughout the day. Everyone talked about what a fun and sweet reception/wedding we had. All of our guests had a great time, and Michael was a big part of that! If you are looking for a DJ for any event, First Dance DJs is the way to go!

Michael DJed at our wedding. He was great to work with. He was responsive to our questions/requests and we were very happy with his pricing! He did a great job announcing and updating us on when we needed to be where. We did not plan on having any dancing out the wedding, and communicated that with Michael. There ended up being some dancing after all. I wasn't too thrilled with this at the time, but I believe Michael gaged the crowd and realized there were people who really wanted to dance. I am thankful that they got an opportunity to do so, you could tell by the pictures that they enjoyed it a lot. In all I think it turned out better than I could have planned!

Michael made our wedding day just as we'd imagine and more! He dress very professional looking in a Suit. He kept our guest impressed, engaged, interested, and entertained throughout the afternoon and early evening. He was very accommodating of any changes or additions that we had made during our planning process. We could tell he was very experienced, confident and reliable! We are so happy that we found him. Cory from First Dance DJ's was the DJ for our wedding. Pretty much everything went perfectly. There were a few missed steps (wrong song played during communion, and he playing some song styles during the reception we asked him not to play), but Cory had also experienced a loss in his family that same week, so this was not a normal week for him, and Mike puts a lot of faith in him so we'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Michael did an absolutely great job! He was the first and only DJ my fiance and I met with- we signed with him on the spot and do not regret our decision! I received so many compliments about the music selection during dinner specifically- I wanted Frank Sinatra style music, and Michael did a great job of incorporating current music with it in order to keep it exciting and not boring. People also LOVED Michaels commentary- he was fantastic at being witty and not trying too hard to interact with the guests. Would definitely recommend them!

Our wedding was unforgettable thanks in part to Michael as our DJ! He was flexible, fun, quick to respond and he went above and beyond when we asked him to fill in for our ceremony last minute. This was our second experience with Michael. He provided services at my son's wedding several years ago and did such a great job, we contacted him for my daughters wedding. His web based application allowed us to select music that we wanted (and didn't want) played, he always responded to our questions right away, and kept the flow going throughout our reception. Michael was absolutely fantastic! At the time of my wedding I was going through some health issues with suffered a spinal cord infection and was not able to walk very well. Michael was so supportive and heartfelt during the weeks before and on the special day. He made my husband and I feel like we were on top of the world. We really loved working with Michael at First Dance DJ's. I wasn't sure about all the music choices so he was able to recommend some songs that worked perfectly with the ones we had already picked. Michael is awesome! We signed him immediately on our first meeting. He's just the kind of guy you feel comfortable with and confident that he knows what he is doing. He's got a great sense of humor and we could tell immediately that he is someone we wanted to establish the party type atmosphere at our wedding reception.

He definitely delivered at the wedding. Our wedding was about average/smaller than average, but Michael made sure to play music to get people dancing. He was great on the mic and made sure everyone knew what was going on. He has a great feature on his website where you can suggest songs to play (or not to play lol) and set everything up that you want. Everything went perfectly.

I highly recommend having Michael be your DJ, whatever the event.

We used First Dance DJs for our October 2013 wedding. David was our DJ for the evening, and he was fantastic. He kept the dance party going, even despite a rain storm that could have threatened the equipment since it was only covered by a tent. I really think that storm could have ruined our reception had it not been for David. Our friends and family are crazy enough to not mind dancing in rain puddles, and strangely enough, it made the night really fun. It was the best night of our lives, and it wouldn't have been the same if the DJ stopped because of the inclement weather. David Skinner has my eternal gratitude.

Michael was the DJ for my daughter's wedding in April 2008 and now my son's October 7, 2011. He is absolutely amazing and that is why we asked him to DJ my son's event. We are so very pleased with his professionalism, flexibility and absolutely great personality! My son is a big Star Wars fan and not only did Michael add the requested songs for the ceremony and the reception but even donned a storm troopers mask with his headphones for a while! For a minimal additional charge, he was also able to provide some great up lighting!

Michael was amazing as our wedding DJ!!!! We met with him and was able to get all of our songs we wanted and even some suggestions! He even helped keep the kids under control!!!

I would recommend this DJ to everyone!! I have already had one friend that is using Michael Furr for his services because of me. He is very cost officient as well as very friendly and respectful. He was kind enough to offer Lighting as well in our package. Thank you so much Michael for everything! Everyone loved our wedding said it was soooo much fun and very pretty! We loved Michael! He was attentive and made sure to stick to my preferences during the ceremony and reception. He was a great host, and I wish I would have went with his planning services as well because the planner that we hired was awful. If it wasn't for Michael the night would not have been a success. He had my Aunt (who has had a million surgeries and whom you can't get to even walk around the mall) out on the dance floor shaking her groove thing. EVen though my husband and I opted for a few wedding favorites during our reception, they didn't seem 'cliche'. I even had guest wanting to use his services at their events in the future. One thing that I am ashamed to say that I worried about was if Michael would be able to meet the needs of an ethnic crowd... BOY WAS I WRONG! He even had my mother busting moves no one had seen since the 80's LOL! Long story short, Michael was great and if I did it all over again, he is the ONE vendor we would rehire.

Michael Furr was an absolutely great DJ! He really listened to what my husband and I wanted. And our wedding was especially complex due to the fact that we were married at the Dallas Arboretum in the Lay Ornamental Garden with three waterfalls in the background! Michael did a great job setting up the microphones and speakers so that our guests could easily hear the music and ceremony. And he also did a great job at our reception. He was fun and energetic and really kept Tom and I and our guests entertained and on-schedule. We could not have asked for a more kind and generoud "entertainer!" I would highly recommend Michael and First Dance DJ's to all of my friends for a wedding or for any event!

My friend got married last year (2010) and she had Michael Furr as her DJ. When I started planning my own wedding this year (2011) I immediately knew who to call. In fact Michael Furr was one of my first appointments. He lived up to my expectations and was amazing. He showed up to everything on time. He looked great the day of the wedding, and was full of energy. He showed the wedding party where to go when they did their entrance, and played polka music from my husband’s family. I would definitely recommend Michael Furr the dance floor was filled all night!!!

Michael was great to work with! He met with us several times to develop our playlist & even created sn original mix for our father/daughter dance. He kept the dancefloor full all night & many guests have said it was the most fun they'd ever had at a wedding!

Michael was simply AMAZING - not only at our wedding day where he did some music during the ceremony and then MC'ed and DJ'ed the whole reception but also and especially during the planning phase. No question or request was to small and he was very accommodating with all my wishes for our special day.
I can only recommend him - he was fantastic and the best choice for a truly unique day!
