Firefly Events was my favorite vendor I worked with for my wedding, and that’s saying a lot because I had a total varsity squad. I added string lighting above my reception space as an afterthought, and I’m SO glad I did! Aubrey listened carefully to my half-baked ramblings about wanting “swoops of string lights” and gave advice and much-needed creative direction and ultimately created a twinkling dream. He transformed a large, open, vaulted ceiling of a rustic lodge into a romantic dream space. I literally gasped when I saw it and I love every photo from that part of the night because of all the warm glowing light falling on everyone and quietly dramatic twinkles in the background.
Aubrey was so kind and proactively communicated with me and went above and beyond to accommodate my and my venue’s schedules and wishes. Firefly Events is absolutely the vendor you want to bring your vision into reality and to be so supportive throughout the process!

Fire Fly Event Services were excellent!! We contacted the company at the recommendation of our wedding planner. Our contact person was Aubrey Franklin and he was fantastic! From my first phone call with him, I knew he could implement our decor vision for my daughter’s Mountain Lake Lodge wedding. He listened to our ideas and added his own throughout the process. Aubrey provided photos, revised photos and transformed the Barn into a romantic and elegant space. The bride, groom, their families and guests complimented the beautiful room!
I highly recommend Fire Fly Event Services without reservation! -

We HIGHLY recommend hiring Aubrey for any occasion, but especially for your wedding day! From the very first time we toured our venue and saw his work, we knew we couldn’t imagine our wedding without it. Aubrey completely blew our vision out of the water and transformed our space into an absolute dream. Our guests were in awe of how magical everything looked!
He turned our venue into a whimsical fairyland filled with twinkle lights and lush greenery hanging from the ceiling, it was truly breathtaking!!
Aubrey is attentive, responsive, and such a pleasure to work with. He made the entire process seamless and stress-free.
We truly can’t recommend him enough! We’ve already been sharing his contact info with all of our friends who are getting married soon!!

Aubrey was awesome to work with. He was able to squeeze us into a super busy slate and was crucial to realizing the vision we had for our wedding reception. He came onsite beforehand to scope the space out and came up with suggestions and ideas that we hadn’t thought of ourselves. Just the most friendly guy possible, he got the job done quickly (tear down was so fast that I didn’t even know he had come!) and professionally. The magical evening of our dreams.

I can’t express enough how beautiful Aubrey’s work is. I saw a post on Instagram a few months before our wedding and I knew I needed to see if he was available. Thankfully he was, and I was absolutely blown away at how everything turned out. The reception was so magical and I felt like I was in a whimsical garden, which is exactly what I wanted. Aubrey at firefly event services was wonderful to work with, and we were so happy with the finished product!
We originally weren’t planning on getting lighting or draping because we thought the reception space was pretty on its own, but decided to add it last minute. Once we saw the space on the wedding day, my family all agreed that the lighting and draping was an absolute must have and made the room so beautiful. We don’t think the wedding would’ve been as aesthetically magical without it!
Aubrey went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the finished product. Hire them now! :)

Fairytale Lighting
Aubrey and his team is AMAZING. I kept getting quoted outrageous rates (5-6k) for lighting and draping at my wedding. My coordinator suggested I reach out to him as he was very economical and wonderful to work with. I reached out last minute -- literally, it was like a month before the wedding -- and he was willing to work with me and make it happen.
He has a conference call in the beginning to get an idea of exactly what you're wanting. He then will send photo references and help you find the perfect lighting / draping for your event and its environment (we had indoor and outdoor patio lighting). He takes into consideration everything you have in mind and gives feedback and references on things you may not know or think about. When setting up, he accidently made my draping higher than originally wanted. Realizing it a few minutes after sending the pictures, he was willing to fix it without any issues. I ended up loving it even more than my original idea so we kept it how i was. I figured if that's what his mind made happen that it must be beautiful; and it was! He made our wedding reception more beautiful than i could have imagined. If you are in a pinch, or just want some awesome customer service AND lighting/ draping , please reach out to him! -

Aubrey Franklin was such a joy to work with. He is great at helping you envision the space you want, gives great advice if you aren't fully sure what you want, and can transform any older or darker space into something truly magical! He was so kind, and I could really tell he sincerely cared about making our wedding feel special and memorable. He was also professional and reasonable with pricing. I think a lot of vendors in the wedding industry try to take advantage, but Aubrey is definitely not one of those people! If you want to make your wedding space feel warm, inviting, and beautiful without being over-the-top, I would for sure hire Firefly Events! Thank you, Aubrey for adding sincere beauty to our day! -

Above & Beyond
Before we had even officially booked Firefly (Aubrey) for our wedding, he began exceeding all of our expectations. We had our wedding on my family's land and held the reception in a large garage (70' x 60'). As you might imagine, my primary concern was that I didn't want it to still look like a garage for the reception. From day one, Aubrey assured me that we could turn the space into everything I was hoping for and told me not to worry. He was right. It turned out to be everything I dreamed of and so much more.
Aubrey made several trips to the space for planning and preparation, as there was a lot that we needed done. Not only did he ensure that his services were completed at the highest quality, he also stepped in to help even when it wasn't something that he was responsible for. I even joked at one point that he was even more excited about the wedding than I was. It was so reassuring to know that our day was in the hands of someone who cared so much.
When someone plays such a large role in the success of your wedding day you spend a lot of time getting to know them. My husband and I got to know him well and consider him to be a great person and friend.

Made a HUGE difference to the look and feel of the space!!
We had a wedding in a family members barn and using Firefly Event Services chandeliers and greenery completely changed the space to make it feel like a real wedding venue! Aubrey worked closely with us to make sure we made the best decision for the space and even came out to site verify months prior to know exactly what to do when installing the day before the wedding. It really made a huge difference to the look and feel of the space and we are so grateful we chose Firefly Event Services to be part of our special day! -

Aubrey was fantastic and achieved exactly my vision. He provided us with paper lanterns, string lights and draping for our reception. He also sent us options for colored lanterns based on our wedding colors - my husband is a die hard Hokie so he was excited for the addition of some persimmon and burgundy lanterns. I really appreciated Aubrey sent us photos as he setup and really checked in with us through the whole process. Highly recommend! -

Absolutely phenomenal
Aubrey is so dedicated to his profession and has such amazing creativity. My biggest concern when working with people is their abiliry to communicate and Aubrey EXCELS! He is always the first to call, check in, discuss any changes, easy to reach and very transparent. I also didn’t have a specific vision but from what I told Aubrey about what I thought I might want, he took it and ran with it and it fits me and my husband so well. Couldn’t have picked someone better for the job. Thanks Aubrey!!! -

Wedding Lighting
We had an excellent experience working with Aubrey. We hired him last minute — about two months before the wedding — and he was very accomodating of our short timeline. He was quick to respond and clearly communicated what our lighting options were. We ended up having bistro (market) lights along with a few chandeliers and a greenery grid above the dance floor. We didn’t have a very specific vison to begin with, and Aubry did a fantastic job providing suggestions and using his creativity and expertise to make the space pop. On top of that, he kept everything within our tight budget. I would highly recommend Aubrey for your wedding lighting and decorations! -

Reception Lighting
Aubrey at Firefly Event Services is a MUST HAVE vendor! He did the lighting for my wedding reception in Lexington, VA, and not only was the result stunning, the service was impeccable. Aubrey is responsive, professional, knowledgeable, and provides incredibly personalized service. Aubrey is well versed in what lighting would look best in the space and works diligently to ensure his recommendation meets your expectations. He truly helps make your vision come to life. Aubrey always made efforts to meet with us in person and was very flexible when scheduling meetings. He is timely, organized, and a great communicator. If you are looking for a lighting professional for an event, you have to go with Aubrey! I cannot recommend him highly enough. -

My husband and I knew we wanted Edison lights for our wedding, but we hit a snag when we started reaching out to vendors. They were quoting us at $1,500 – $2,000 just for Edison lights, which was higher than what we had budgeted for. We asked our planner if she had any vendors she would refer us to, and she introduced us to Firefly Event Services. The Edison lights were absolutely perfect, and we were able to get exactly what we wanted for about $850. Aubrey was super kind and really a joy to work with, and his right arm, Amanda, made our day look amazing! If you need lighting I would strongly recommend checking these guys out. -

Aubrey was super accommodating and helped make sure our wedding day was perfect. He came to our venue walk through and asked lots of questions to get a sense of our style. My husband and I are very laid back and indecisive, but Aubrey was great at asking for examples and showing various weddings he had done before. He was always very responsive and helped provide very helpful feedback during the planning process. He made sure our venue looked spectacular on the day of the wedding. We couldn't have asked for a better person to work with! -

Not only was Aubrey an absolute professional and amazing collaborator, he is super fun and outgoing at the photo booth! We priced several vendors for the decor ideas we wanted. His prices were reasonable and he helped come up with creative solutions to make our vision happen. He even helped us out with our florist when we were in a real bind and down to the wire. He hooked us up with a colleague of his and it all turned out amazing! We could not recommend him enough! -

Amazing experience!
Hiring Firefly Event Services was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We did a lot of our decorations DIY and Aubrey really worked with us to make sure that our personal touches were reflected in our decor on our wedding day. Aubrey also added his own personal touch by creating beautiful lighting over our dance floor which brought everything together and encouraged our guests to dance the night away. Would definitely recommend working with Firefly Event Services! -

Aubrey and his team designed a light and curtain setting that was stunnung for our space and worked within our budget. He offered a variety of choices and helped guide us. Aubrey was great to work with, and he was absolutely awesome at collaborating with our florist to create an overall feel for the event that was exactly what we were trying to achieve.
