Don't have a winter wedding here.
READ THIS ENTIRE THING BEFORE YOU SIGN WITH FINDLEY CREEK! During a wedding I attended in January of 2024, I showed up to help my friends get ready for their big day! Oh what a great surprise to be treated at 9am with no heat being on in the building and frozen pipes. Owners and management were very aware of the weather and yet did a dis service to themselves by not take appropriate precautions with their property. I'm pretty sure everyone is the state was aware that pipes could freeze... so with that being said we told management and they did their thing by obviously calling a professional. But what are you to do when there is no running water. Oh and I forgot to mention they said the groom cabin in the back was heated, with 1 space heater. The managers husband comes out to start looking at the pipes when one of the dad's show up to save the day. Everyone is the building was having to keep layers on and winter coats until right before the ceremony at 4pm. Water was not fixed until around 12 or 1 pm. So a good 4-5 hours with barely any heat and no running water. This wedding had always been planned as a outdoor ceremony and expectationswhere already discussed. After fees being paid for each chair that was outside and the extra propane heaters, that was like pulling teeth to get that completed. I'm not sure on the entire amount of chairs that was paid for but only half was set up. We had to go and ask management multiple times to set up the already paid for amount of chairs and heaters. Oh and the fireplace, I ended up asking for the lighters myself and I could light the fireplace. They didnt want to light it, which yes i get its cold, but it was still and expectation that was previously set. By the time the guests started to arrive it was still freezing in the building. In 6 hours that giant building had not heated to be comfortable enough not to wear a jacket. Most guests still had to wear their coats inside the building! Owners had been very difficult after wedding was finished.
TO THE OWNERS: Gas lighting people who had paid for a service is not a good way to do business, very unprofessional. And then saying you will leave a review about the wedding coordinator is absolutely ridiculous and you should be ashamed. That woman did nothing wrong, but helped her clients get what they paid for! I feel like if anything she's the only reason things went right that day. So please go ahead and leave all the reviews because that will just show people how much she cares about her clients.
