Bishop Richard is highly professional and knowledgeable - we had a beautiful and meaningful ceremony thanks to him! During our two meetings leading up to the wedding he gave us so many tips that made planning both the reception and the ceremony easier… things we would have never thought to Google, he just knows what works well and what pitfalls to look out for because he has seen so many weddings. He is very organized, there were 22 people involved in our ceremony procession and he conducted it so efficiently and effectively. It was impressive. The rehearsal took half of the time we allotted and we received a lot of compliments from the wedding party on how organized it was. He helped us find an Old Testament reading that was meaningful to us, and we really appreciated that flexibility. Also, he is just a really nice, pleasant guy. He cares about providing the highest quality ceremony. He was a great fit for us and we would absolutely recommend him. -

Bishop Richard did a phenomenal job officiating our wedding in June. He is so well organized and experienced and it shows with how he handles both planning for the wedding and the day of the wedding. Due to the location of our wedding being far away, he wasn’t able to be there for a rehearsal but he still flawlessly coordinated with each person on the day of the wedding. He helped to guide us to make sure we had our marriage license and even checked in the week before to make sure we had the rings ready. We were able to pick from different reading options what best suited our ceremony. He was also so efficient with our marriage license after the ceremony- we got our official copy back in 2 weeks! Knowing we had Bishop Richard as our officiant took a lot of the stress out of the ceremony because he walked us through each and every step. We highly recommend him! Thank you!!!! -

Father Richard was amazing! Not only did he officiate my wedding, but he also came to my rehearsal dinner and stayed the entire day of my wedding. It was a treat to have him mingle with my closest family and friends. He also reminded me that it’s okay to be selfish for one day and enjoy MY wedding. Father Richard was a reminder that it’s very important to live in the moment! I will continue to remain in touch with him as he’s truly a special man!! -

Bishop Richard was an incredible wedding officiant. All of our guests were telling us how beautiful our ceremony was and what an amazing job Bishop Richard did. He is also a true wedding professional! He gave us recommendations on other vendors, some of whom we ended up hiring who were also incredible, he easily guided us through the legal processes of getting married, and even gave great recommendations on how to get the perfect photos during our ceremony. Bishop Richard was always there for us when we needed him and we are so happy he was a part of our special day. Thank you Bishop Richard for your guidance and dedication to making our wedding day as beautiful as it was! -

Bishop Christopher Richard was the perfect fit for our big day! As a catholic couple we were eager and hopeful to find an individual who was able to marry us during a catholic non-mass ceremony. He helped everything run so smoothly and was very organized. We were able to pick from selections of readings during the ceremony that were important to us. Bishop Richard let us chose a lot of little details to make the ceremony feel special while still sticking to the catholic religion. I highly recommend him for any couple looking to have a catholic non-mass ceremony as he was able to marry us right at our venue. Communication was great and he helped ease a lot of our worries as he was very confident and truly knew how to make the ceremony very beautiful. Grateful to have had Bishop Richard bless our marriage with God’s blessing as well as our future together. -

Highly Recommend
We are so happy that we chose Bishop Richard to officiate our Catholic non-mass wedding ceremony. A He was very helpful in the planning process, gave us good advice along the way and performed a beautiful ceremony in front of a very special group of family and friends. Highly recommend him! -

Bishop Richard officiated our wedding at the Otesaga in September 2021. My wife and I thought that his ceremony was beautiful and exceeded every expectation.
The seamless experience with Bishop Richard began long before the wedding day. We first spoke with him over the phone about a year before the big day. Having officiated at our venue in the past, he gave us suggestions and guidance for how to structure our ceremony and reception. He even referred us to other vendors that he’s worked with in the past who were amazing. Because of him, we found the best wedding singers/DJs and photographer in the area!
Closer to the ceremony, we had another phonecall with Bishop Richard to discuss the minute by minute details of the ceremony, so that we knew exactly what to expect on the big day. His attention to detail and organization made everything easier.
The ceremony itself was beautiful. All of our family, friends, and coworkers raved to us afterwards about how much they liked him and his homily.
We couldn’t have been happier, and we give Bishop Richard our highest recommendation!

We are so lucky to have had Father Richard Officiate our wedding ceremony. From the beginning, he answered all of our questions (which were a lot) and always made himself available to us. We never felt like burdens, in fact, quite the opposite. You can tell he loves what he does and it shows during a ceremony. He eased my mind with every concern I had (as I am not very religious myself and was not aware of many of the Catholic ceremony rules). He made sure we were 100% at ease and that all we needed to focus on was each other. That means more than we could ever say.
Father Richard goes above and beyond a ceremony. He provided us with step by step instructions on how to obtain our marriage license, when to change my name regarding my passport for our honeymoon, and how to go about that process. He checked in months and weeks before the wedding, sending little reminders we needed as we were so busy towards the end!! He also was patient and flexible with us, since getting married during a global pandemic can be QUITE stressful and things changed everyday.
Overall, we were so happy to have him there for our wedding day. He truly made it everything we (and our families) could have dreamed. From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU Father Richard!!!
