Father Michael Messina was wonderful to work with. We had a phone call and met in person prior to our ceremony. He walked us through everything from what to do leading up to the wedding to the sequencing of the ceremony. He was prompt with all of his communication and made us feel very confident that things would run smoothly. Father was efficient and helpful at the rehearsal and made everybody feel relaxed and ready for the next day. Our families loved having the religious aspect of the ceremony and his blessing was appreciated by all. We highly recommend Father Michael Messina as a wedding officiant!

Blessed beyond belief
Where do we even begin? Having Father Michael officiate our wedding was an absolute blessing. From the moment we first met him, it was clear that he is not only an incredible Catholic priest but also a genuinely compassionate, thoughtful and accepting person. Throughout the entire wedding process, he was a constant source of support and guidance, always there with a kind word or thoughtful advice whenever we needed it. His warmth and sincerity made us feel truly cared for, and his responsiveness put our minds at ease during what can be a stressful time.
On our wedding day, Father Michael brought a sense of calm and profound meaning to the ceremony, making it all the more special for us and our guests. His professionalism and deep wisdom were evident in every aspect of his role, but what truly stood out was the personal connection he created with us. Father Michael is Great!
We loved having Father Michael as the officiant for our wedding. Him and the folks at Divine Mercy Church were very friendly and warm. We enjoyed his Mass and couldn’t be happier with our wedding ceremony. It was absolutely beautiful. Father Michael is very comforting and lighthearted, even cracking some jokes during the ceremony that helped relax a very anxious groom. You can tell that he really cares for the couples he marries. Father Michael made our big day so special. He was extremely supportive, professional, personable and kept us calm on such an emotional day. My wife and I struggled to find a priest willing to do a Catholic ceremony outside of the church, and Father Michael was able to fulfill exactly what we wanted by having God present at our ceremony while also doing it at our wedding venue. We loved the way he balanced the seriousness of the commitment we were making to one another while also adding in some jokes throughout - it made us feel so comfortable throughout the entire day! Great! Very Professional, Customizable, and Personal Ceremony
Father Michael was very professional and knocked everything out of the park. I loved that we were able to have some Catholic formalities important to me as a Catholic woman marrying a Christian man outside of a Catholic Church venue. We also loved how we were able to make the ceremony our own. The ceremony was perfect, meaningful, personal, funny in the right places, and went smoothly. We got many compliments on him from our guests, and we are so happy with how easy it was to work with him and his attention to detail and thoughtfulness. Would 100% hire again.

Fr. Michael was amazing!
Fr. Michael was so great to work with and did such a great job with our wedding. We are Catholic, but knew we wanted an outdoor ceremony. When we started looking for officiants, we knew we still really wanted God to be present in our ceremony. Finding Fr. Michael was such a great fit for us. Even though it's not a traditional Roman Catholic ceremony, he did such a great job making God present. We met with him early on and knew right away we wanted him to be our officiant. He's extremely friendly and very funny as well. He kept the ceremony light, but serious and everything about it was perfect. Thank you Fr. Michael!

Fantastic.
Fr. Michael is down to earth guy who really cares that you and your spouse are ready for marriage. He was very open minded with our situation and was flexible with our ceremony requests and our marriage preparation. Amazing Wedding Experience
We had a great experience with Father Michael! Not only did we love how our ceremony went but he interacted so well with our families, we got lots of compliments. He is very responsive, friendly and brings humor into the ceremony while still keeping the Catholic element we really wanted in our wedding, which is hard to find if you want a wedding outside the church!! Beautiful Ceremony!
Father Michael was so helpful with helping us prepare for our wedding. He met with us before the wedding to go over the ceremony and sent us reminders to make sure we were prepared. The ceremony was beautiful and he personalized the homily to mention us and our family. Everyone loved the ceremony especially our grandparents who grew up Catholic.

Amazing experience!
Father Michael was awesome. He was so easy and flexible to work with (I changed the time of the rehearsal about 3 times and he was so kind and patient each time!😂). Our wedding went so amazingly. The ceremony was perfect for us without being too much for our non religious friends/family. The biggest compliment we got was when one of our guests enjoyed the ceremony so much, he asked Father Michael to do his daughters wedding the next week! Overall great experience, we would definitely recommend Father Michael!

Just perfect
I grew up Roman Catholic and my now husband grew up Christian. Blending our two faiths, we wanted a ceremony under God but not in a church. Father Micheal made our ceremony at Bigsby’s winery so very special. His homily was witty, charming, funny, memorable, and so special to me and my husband. He is always willing to help you however he can. Above all, he wants your day to be your day! He is open to personalizing your ceremony however you’d like, while walking through the planning process seamlessly. Without a doubt, Father Michael made our ceremony. We were so lucky to have him bless and officiate our marriage.

Almost three years later
Father Messina officiated our wedding in 2018, and here we are three years later, and we still talk about him and how thankful we were to have him as part of our wedding day. He listened to our needs and provided us with the guidance we needed to make this day not only special for us but our families as well.

Perfect officiant for our wedding
Father Michael was great to work with. He was relaxed, funny, personable, and we could tell that he takes a lot of joy in officiating weddings. He was perfect for us because I am Catholic and my now-husband is Christian, but we wanted an outdoor ceremony. He was able to perform our ceremony outside of the church, since he is American Catholic, rather than Roman Catholic. I would highly recommend him!

It was an important decision for my wife and I to have our marriage recognized by the Catholic church despite me not being Catholic. Father Michael's sect of Catholicism allowed us to marry without me converting. Father Michael's wit, humor and genuine love of God helped make our ceremony meaningful for our families as well as ourselves.

Heartfelt Ceremony
There are not enough good things to say about this kind, wonderful, and thoughtful priest, not to mention his great sense of humor! Father Michael officiated our wedding last week at Sapphire Point. And it was perfect, even without a rehearsal. From the start he was so kind and personable, he got to know each of us and our vision for the ceremony. Having a priest officiate our wedding was super important to us, but we didn't want the traditional church wedding. That is where Father Michael comes in. He is so kind and helpful with all of our details and we had to change them a lot due to Covid. He listens to what is important to the couple and builds a beautiful ceremony that you will love! Father Michael was a pleasure to work with from the start. He met with us twice to go over our FOCUS test results and he provided great input to benefit our relationship. Vail wedding with a Father Michael
My fiancé and I reached out to Father Michael in hopes he would join us for our mountain top wedding and bless our marriage. We received an immediate reply with YES and wanting to schedule a phone call to get to know us better. From that first phone call, it was a great feeling and relationship. Father Michael truly made our wedding day so special, and for a couple that was getting married during times of uncertainty with COVID restrictions, he was committed and made us not only feel confident, but without even a chance to rehearse in person he made time to have a virtual rehearsal to feel comfortable without ever getting to meet. And as a anxious bride during this time, he answered all of my emails promptly and always reassuring everything would all be ok. I can not recommend Father Michael enough, he makes you feel like you’ve known him a lifetime!

Wonderful Ceremony!

Heartfelt and professional
Father Messina married my husband and I this last September 2019 in Vail and we couldn’t have asked for a better ceremony. Father Messina was organized, down to earth and took the time to get to know us and our families personally. It was truly an amazing day and Father Messina helped make it that. He’s a gem!

Father Michael is absolutely amazing. My husband and I were new to Colorado, but as soon as we met with him, we knew we wanted him there on our special day. He walked us through everything we would need to do, and is extremely responsive with any questions you have. On top of that, his words were so beautiful during the ceremony that it made it smooth and special for us and all of our friends and family. Not only were we more than happy with everything, but so was everyone who attended and came up to compliment us on how wonderful Father Michael was. Thank you Father Michael for making our day more special than we could've hoped for!

Father Michael Messina truly made our wedding!
There are not enough good things to say about this kind, wonderful, professional and thoughtful priest - not to mention his great sense of humor! Father Michael officiated our wedding last weekend at the Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch, and was kind enough to walk us through a rehearsal the night before the ceremony. He got to know each of us, our personalities and vision for the ceremony itself over the months leading up to actually meeting him in person. He could sense some nerves, which were quickly gone thanks to his calming, funny and sensitive presence! Father Michael took the time to interact with our family and friends, and over the course of 24 hours he truly became part of our group! We were honored to able to say Father Michael Messina married us :)

Wonderful Experience with Father Michael
Father Michael was awesome to work with. I was raised Catholic and my family is religious, and my husband's family is not very religious, so I was concerned about finding a ceremony that would make both sides happy. Our stuck pretty close to the traditional Catholic, except we had it in an outdoor courtyard, and it was only 20 minutes. Father Michael was super responsive, very easy to work with and really took to heart what we wanted for the ceremony. It turned out amazing and I was more than happy with how it went, and our families and guests also really enjoyed it. I would recommend Father Michael to anyone!

Father Michael was absolutely amazing. I heard from both sides of the family that they loved his ceremony, and we are so grateful that he added some humor while also putting together the most special day. Father Michael was a fantastic choice for us, and I will recommend him for anyone. My (now) husband and I were raised Catholic, but we did not want to have our wedding inside a church, and Father Michael was able to accommodate for us. He really took the time to get to know us and let us completely personalize the ceremony. His idea of doing a wine box and love letters instead of a unity candle was absolute gold. We are so pleased with his work, I could rave all day about him. Thank you so much for contributing to the perfect day. We had so much fun.

Father Michael was very helpful in planning our ceremony, preparing our ceremony booklets, and during the rehearsal. He was with us since the earliest stages of planning. For the actual ceremony, he gave a very beautiful homily that all our guests kept mentioning how beautiful the ceremony was and how they love the way Father Michael conducted the ceremony. We all feel blessed to have him at our ceremony!

Beautiful Ceremony
Father Messina was such a blessing to have as the priest at our wedding. I am Catholic and my husband is Christian. We knew we wanted to have an outdoor wedding but wanted to keep it pretty traditional without having a full Catholic mass (most of our guests were not Catholic and many were not religious). From the first time we met with Father Messina I felt like a huge weight had been lifted and I knew immediately that we had found the right person. He was organized, professional, and really knows what he is doing (he had answers to our questions and advice that we probably would never have thought about). The ceremony was absolutely perfect and matched our wishes and our relationship perfectly. The emotion of the ceremony caused me to begin to cry and Father Messina was quick to lighten the mood and allow me to regian my composure without skipping a beat. We heard from many guests how great Father Messina was and had more than one person say it was the most beautiful ceremony they had ever attended. I wholeheartedly recommend Father Messina for your wedding. It was a day we will never forget and it would not have been the same without him.

exactly what we were looking for!
We were thrilled to have Father Michael as our wedding priest! Both of us were raised Catholic and appreciated the unique perspective Father Michael's background in the American Catholic Communities brought to our wedding preparation and marriage. He was very flexible in meeting with us and had optional marriage counseling included. We took his marriage survey and met with him after discussing the results ourselves, which we thought was very beneficial to sorting out some long-standing disagreements. Father Michael was very easy to work with, very professional, and accommodating to our schedules. We enjoyed his homily, and our families and friends enjoyed the ceremony as well. We would highly recommend Father Michael if you are looking for a priest in the Catholic tradition.

I would absolutely refer Father Michael for your wedding ceremony. He was very easy to work with and provided us with multiple options to customize the ceremony as our own. He included tidbits of how we met and our relationship, as well as a few anecdotes of his own that were relevant to love and marriage. We definitely got a few giggles as well! We received many compliments from our guests and parents about how wonderful he was. We had a smaller ceremony with about 48 guests and did not use a microphone - all of our guests could hear Father Michael and he had excellent projection!

We absolutely loved working with Father Michael! Right off the bat, he provided all of the information you need to know about working with him. He was willing to travel to our venue AND do an outdoor ceremony, which you don’t find often with Catholic priests. He was very easy to talk with and also funny. His ceremony was fantastic! He made it personal to us and we were also able to incorporate aspects of a catholic mass (which both our families appreciated). After our ceremony, he sent in our marriage license which we thought was so nice of him to do as it was one more thing we could cross off our list. We’ve heard from so many guests and our families how much they enjoyed our ceremony and talking with Father Michael. Working with Father Michael truly exceeded our expectations, he was simply the best and made our ceremony so special.

Our wedding was large, outdoor, and involved a multi-religion couple (Catholic/Christian). Father Messina was remarkable. From the moment we contacted Father Messina about officiating our wedding to the minute the wedding was over, Father Messina's service, professionalism, experience and care exceeded our expectations.
Father Messina took time to get to know my wife and I prior to the wedding. We could tell he genuinely cared about us and our wedding. Father Messina was able to incorporate personalized anecdotes of our relationship into our ceremony. The ceremony was thoughtful, personalized, and at appropriate times, funny!
Finally, Father Messina's experience was invaluable. He provided numerous suggestions that improved our ceremony and our wedding. Weddings are hectic. It was reassuring to know that we had Father Messina their officiating our wedding.
In short, Father Messina is a great speaker, a knowledgeable pastor, and a genuine person.

Father Michael married us last weekend (8/25/18) and we could not be happier! He was very laid back and organized about the whole process which was exactly what we were looking for. He was early for the rehearsal and the ceremony so we never had to worry. The ceremony went perfectly smooth, and we enjoyed the bits of humor he threw in as well!
After the wedding he grabbed our marriage certificate and mailed it into the county for us—it took one more thing off of our to do list and it was greatly appreciated!

Father Michael was such a special part of our day! We flew in from out of state for our wedding, so all of our pre-calls and counseling were over the phone. I cannot say enough about how accommodating, kind, and fun he was to work with. He made it to our rehearsal even though it was in the middle of the day and explained everything clearly. He kept the wedding at a comfortable pace, got a few laughs from the crowd, and made both of us feel like we had done this before (in a good way). Nothing but great things to say!!!

My husband and I traveled from New Mexico to Keystone, Colorado for an our outdoor mountain ceremony. I didn't hire a wedding coordinator and didn't get the opportunity to meet with Father Michael till our rehearsal but he made the planning process effortless. My husband comes from a Roman Catholic background and I was raised non-denominational Christian. Father Michael Messina did an excellent job accommodating both of our families religious upbringings. The ceremony was beautiful and touching. Father Messina also included humor which lightened the mood and was a good reflection of my husband and my personalities. Also we were able to be married outdoors while still having a more traditional Catholic service which wouldn't normally be possible. Overall the success and beauty of our wedding as a whole would not have been possible without Father Messina. We owe him forever!

We were so lucky to have Father Messina to officiate our wedding ceremony. He was absolutely great to work with, prompt to respond to our initial inquiry and any questions we had throughout the whole planning process. I really appreciated that Father Messina had suggestions for the wedding ceremony for anyone like me who needed some ideas, but was also open to including any personal touches we wanted for our ceremony. I would highly recommend Father Messina to anyone looking for a kind and personable officiant for their wedding.

Our parents wanted us to have a priest officiate our wedding but it was non negotiable that our wedding would be outdoors... Father Michael to the rescue! Can't say enough good things about him. Father Michael is wonderful! I truly cherish that he officiated our wedding because we built a relationship with him throughout our marriage preparation. In fact, my husband ended being baptized by Father Micheal before our wedding of which I am incredibly grateful for. Fr. Michael was very accommodating, friendly, funny, and professional. Everything was very organized and easy to follow for all of the participants. I'm SO glad my mom found Father Messina! We couldn't have imagined a better officiant for our destination wedding. We didn't think we'd be able to incorporate our Catholic faith AND have our wedding ceremony on a mountaintop, but we were able to do both thanks to Father Messina! He made the planning process SO easy and enjoyable, and our ceremony went off without a hitch.
We were a little worried the ceremony might be boring and impersonal because we picked very traditional readings and vows, but Father Messina made it SO special. His homily was entertaining and meaningful for every single one of our guests. Several of our friends and family commented on how nice our ceremony was. It was my favorite part of the entire wedding day (and I was definitely not expecting it to be).

Fr. Messina officiated our wedding, and we couldn't have asked for a better officiant. My bride and I are both religious, but not regular churchgoers. We wanted an outdoor ceremony that had the feel of a church wedding while accommodating the non-traditional nature of our wedding. Fr. Planning a destination wedding can be challenging when it comes to picking the special people that are going to complete big roles on your day. My wedding coordinator recommended Father Michael to me and I was so thankful she did! Father Michael was quick to respond, so easy to work with, gave us options for our ceremony, and guided us through any questions we had. Father Messina was a God-send ! His experience and commitment made our ceremony a most solemn event and a memory that will last a lifetime. His efficiency and organizational skills are second to none. He drove about 300 miles round trip without hesitation or complaint and got the job done in a most eloquent, spiritual and positive way. His demeanor is non-compromising and spiritual and one that brings an incredible amount of dignity and class to the ceremony. His garments were impeccably clean and pressed and his attention to detail is incredible. Throughout our ceremony there wasn't a dry eye in the place. And now, I know that we have a new durable friend and priest as well. As I said, he was a God-send !
