Incredible company and Team!
Where do I even begin… Fashion Moments Joana and her entire team were an incredible privilege to work with. From the very first time we spoke with and met Joana we knew we made the right decision choosing her company. Every single part of the wedding day, rehearsal and the planning leading up to it was an amazing experience handled with professionalism, laughs and awe! What Joana was able to bring to life for us was breathtaking, emotional, memorable and unique. She will forever be apart of our some of our fondest memories of the wedding planning process! Our guests 2 months later are still talking about the beauty of the tables, the ceremony, the decor, the flowers and everything that was brought to life, she listened to our dreams and made them a reality. The vendors that were recommended were all professional and experienced we were not disappointed! If you are thinking of working with Fashion Moments, don’t hesitate they are kind, professional, easy and amazing artists! Hosting a wedding in another country is never easy. With the help of Rita and her team we truly had an amazing wedding night that was truly magical. From venue to vendor selection and even transportation arrangements the day of the wedding Rita made it so we could truly enjoy every second of our wedding night. Exceptionnel, Inoubliable, Incroyable
5 c'est la note maximum, mais bien trop faible pour Fashion Moments. Nous avons préparé notre mariage de France, en ne nous déplaçant au Portugal qu'une seule fois. Cela fut beaucoup de stress , mais nous avons put confier les yeux fermés, toute l'organisation de notre mariage, de A à Z à Fashion Moments. Au moment de la pandémie, nous avons dut repousser d'un an le mariage, Joana s'est occupé de tout. Cette femme est extraordinaire. Nous avons put vivre grâce à elle une journée inoubliable, sans rien à penser à part profiter du moment. La décoration était exceptionnelle, bien au dessus de nos espérances. Elle et son équipe pensent à tout, sont partout pour faite de cette journée un rêve , pour les mariés et les invités. Je ne pense pas que les prestations soient onéreuses, je pense que la qualité se payent. Et si vous voulez de la qualité, il n'y a pas à hésiter. Ce n'est pas juste des organisateurs, ce sont des personnes humaines exceptionnelle. Merci pour tout, je ne vous oublierai jamais. -

Amazing team!
The Fashion Moment Events team is absolutely incredible. Our wedding had to be postponed due to COVID-19. Because of travel restrictions it was very challenging to organize the wedding on our own, especially as we live in the UK. We decided to hire Fashion Moments and it was the best decision we could have made. Joana and Rita's help was essential to have a stress-free and organized day. The decor was beautiful and the team’s positive vibe made all the difference. Thank you for everything! I absolutely recommend them! -

The most amazing day!
We worked with Fashion Moments on the decoration for our venue and also for wedding planning services. Joana is so talented at what she does and helped us decide on the decoration for our venue, always giving us advice and suggesting options and additions which worked really well in brining our whole venue and theme together. Living in the UK, it’s is difficult to find suppliers in another country but as soon as we spoke with Joana we knew we could trust her, always so warm and helpful. Ana Rita was involved in the wedding planning and was so helpful with dealing with our suppliers and ensuring the whole day went smoothly - even helping me with my makeup and wedding dress! We ended up having to move our ceremony inside due to weather and the team dealt with this on short notice and also handled our guests. The team made our day amazing and we cannot thank the Fashion Moments team enough! -

Great Wedding Planner
We decided to try a foreign wedding ceremony. Fashion Moments (Joana and her team) helped us with planning, choosing vendors, offers, communication, legal licenses, decoration, etc. and supports the wedding day itself. We had a great trial before. All recommendations where kind, professional and reliable. They consult us and additionally we had the chance to bring in our own ideas and vendors (e.g. music). In summary, the event was wonderful. Our guest and we as bride and groom enjoyed every moment, the polite communication. A clear recommendation. -

Thank you for making our big day absolutely magical ♥️ not only did you make me feel calm when I was nervous about planning a wedding abroad; you were always so warm and loving towards us that working with you felt like we are dealing with family ♥️ living across the ocean while planning a wedding caused me to be a bit stressed, but you always made me feel calm and you were always ready to have a call with me to talk it out with to make me feel at ease 🥰 I know I have told you over the last year so many times, but THANK YOU! YOU ARE TRULY AMAZING!!! We always knew we had an incredible team but on the wedding day you proved it once again!!!! it was so clear that you are truly are all so talented and the best decision we made was partnering with you! Ever since I have posted photos anyone who saw them told me that our wedding was a dream and we must contact WedLuxe because our wedding looked like it came out of a magazine! Let’s talk, Bride to bride. First off, my husband and I are from New York. We chose to do a destination wedding. When choosing to do so our next step after picking a destination was picking a wedding planner. My husband and I did a ton of research and sat through multiple interviews. We connected the most with Fashion Moments wedding planner, Joanna. I read her reviews ahead of time, and those that gave low stars- I’m sorry they felt that way.
Joanna is wonderful. She’s all positive energy, personable and all smiles. There are times she did stress me out, but if you chose to do a destination wedding- understand outside the USA, people run on “island time.” It’s not like the states where everything is rushed. As a bride, it gave me anxiety at first, but then it became refreshing- being able to take our time with food selections, venues, deposits etc. you’re able to enjoy the entire process.
There was one thing that drove me crazy, Joanna can be delayed in response but I promise she eventually answers and gets everything done! When she does answer you, she will answer all your questions and make it perfect. Please remember she’s only human and has many other events ongoing. But the final 2 weeks leading up to the wedding- she was there and answering every minute!
She provided us with all the information necessary- she gave outlines of cost, VAT, proposals, vendor suggestions. Joanna gives everything up front and she’s honest. If I did not like something, I told Joanna and she immediately would find a solution. Joanna also takes time to explain how weddings in USA are different from weddings in Portugal. Such as entrees, it is custom for guests to all get the same meal. We told Joanna we did not want that, she spoke with Penha Longa and we got (3) entree options for the guests.
We had a welcome party event the day before the wedding, in short and sweet the event was not great. But we do not blame Fashion Moments we blame the restaurant- I say this because the moment something went wrong I called Joanna and she was immediately at our defense. Joanna is tough!
The morning of our beautiful wedding, Joanna’s assistant Francesa - was with me every step. She steamed my dress and the bridesmaids. She got us food and made sure things were organized. She kept the men in order as well.
During our beautiful wedding. There were no complaints. Joanna was there organizing everything! We had a wind storm that week, so when the ceremony could not be held outside, Joanna immediately had a back up plan. The decorations were gorgeous! The flowers I was in love with. Fashion Moments team is truly a dream maker and we are so happy to have hired them. Thank you for creating our beautiful wedding. We love you.

Where to start! Joana from FashionMoments was an essential part of our day. After we had a bad experience with another vendor we were reluctant about who to hire but after meeting Joana that decision was obvious. Her positive energy, willingness to make our day special and flexibility were the main reasons to make us change vendor 3 months from the wedding day. After knowing I was a designer, Joanna really made sure I was completely involved in the creative process by hearing my ideas and being very patient about any indecisions we had. The final result was even better than anticipated! Such gorgeous flowers that lasted fresh all day long even with 38 degrees weather, beautiful dreamy lights, and a very well respected timeline. Moreover, Joana has the great capacity of ‘desenrasque’ Portuguese for getting things solved under pressure which came in handy on the day to solve last minute issues. Thank you Joana and team FashionMoments for this adventure.

Fashion moments organized a wedding for us and it was great! We live in the US, but my side of the family is from Eastern Europe, so we picked Portugal for convenience and because Portugal is beautiful. It was not always easy to communicate because we and the wedding planner were 10 hours apart but everything went pretty smoothly. We also had to postpone the wedding due to a geopolitical event in Europe and Fashion moments were very understanding and helped us to reschedule. There were several cancellations (for example, for a celebrant) but the wedding planner was able to find a replacement very fast. Our guest list was reduced in size due to the same geopolitical event and we were offered not only a paid rehearsal dinner for all guests but also a refund. In general, Fashion moments were very helpful and I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you! -

I would not recommend Fashion Moments Events’ full wedding planning service. The positives, our day was beautiful, and the venue was gorgeous (sourced by them—however, once you pick the venue, you are required to rent décor from Fashion Moments as well). The flowers ended up being just beautiful—I loved our flower arch. The day-of coordination was ok, not great.
Before our wedding day, I tracked my own budget, was given zero timeline for when important items should be completed, and had to manage the planning process myself with no input. I constantly had to follow up to ensure things were progressing and being completed to satisfaction. I figured out how to identify different meals for the caterer myself. I was also told they "never see weddings where guests get different entrées," and that this isn’t common. (What?? Have you ever been on a plane? Or attended any American wedding ever?) My most favorite vendors other than the venue itself were all sourced by me. I found them after the suggestions provided were not meeting expectations. They told my welcome party vendor the wrong start time of an hour late and didn’t even show up to coordinate—my family had to handle it.
I had released myself from any stress the day of the wedding so I could enjoy the moment, and our day truly was stunning. But even on the wedding day, the vans coordinated to take my family to the venue left without me—the bride. I had to Uber.
My wedding signs and menus, which I spent hours designing, were haphazardly displayed. My linen bar sign was not ironed and hung in the wind all day with wrinkles. One detail that still upsets me every time I look at the photos is how the tablescape was displayed. I was so excited about this element and showed many photos of the vision. The menus, thoughtful note, and handmade name cards—all designed by me—were thrown together on a napkin folded like a hot dog. I have never seen napkins displayed this way at a formal dinner, let alone at the nicest dinner you've ever thrown for your friends and family. This may seem small, but when you emphasize a detail and you are paying a lot of money to execute the detail, and not only is not done, but the standard is even lower than what you would expect, it is disappointing. I was so excited for this vision to come to life and it looked haphazard.
Even the day of, the schedule went behind because our wedding coordinator simply quit maintaining time after dinner. We (bride and groom!) coordinated speeches during dinner. We had to pay the photographer an additional hour of time to get any party photos.
On top of all of the above, the invoicing is very unprofessional. There are no line items included. I specifically asked for a cost breakdown and they could not provide one. VAT is not added in the quotes, which caused us to go over budget. When asked about VAT, they gave us a percentage to calculate ourselves for every item instead of a grand total. I’m sad to say the most stressful part of wedding planning was working with this company.
We’ve been married almost a year, and while our day was beautiful, I had to wait a long time to write this review in order to keep it concise. Hire Fashion Moments if you want, and I’m sure your day will be nice—but the stress of working with them beforehand was nearly not worth it. The “full wedding planning” service is something they are not equipped to provide or manage professionally. Don't do it unless they address this review. -

Extremely Disappointed with Fashion Moments
I feel it’s important to share my own experience with Fashion Moments (FM) as the exclusive decoration provider for Quinta de São Thiago, especially given how badly we were treated throughout the process. While I don't wish ill on anyone, I believe it's essential to warn others about the kind of company they may have to deal with.
We had already decided on the venue and were simply waiting for FM’s decoration estimate, but communication was consistently delayed, always excused by "high season." While I was patient and understanding at first, the lack of response started to create mounting pressure, as our wedding planning had to continue. Eventually, we asked them to send over the contract so we could secure our date and move forward. We transferred the deposit, and only after that did we finally receive the decoration pricing.
The proposal we got was absurd. They quoted over 9,000 euros excluding tax for what appeared to be basic rentals and vague decoration items, with no clear explanation of what we were paying for. When we attempted to discuss it, the online meeting with Joana was a complete disaster. She was defensive, dismissive, and arrogant from the start. I could hardly get a word in, and the entire conversation felt one-sided, with no interest in understanding our specific needs, vision, or budget. The whole meeting revolved around her company and the supposed “high-end” nature of their service, with no effort to tailor anything to us or provide any clarity.
It was a complete contrast to the “exclusive” experience they claimed to offer. Everything was focused on how much work they have, how busy they are, and how "hard" their work is, as if this should justify the inflated prices. There was no attempt to provide any breakdown of costs or to find any middle ground. The entire interaction felt impersonal and mass-produced.
What followed was months of delays, vague responses, and increasingly uncooperative behavior. We were told that they’d get back to us after three months, once their workload eased, which gave us hope for a resolution. When they finally did return, it was just to ask, “Is there any news from your side?” They hadn’t clarified anything, made any compromises, or shown any genuine engagement. It became clear that the delay was intentional, as if they were trying to pressure us into accepting whatever they offered.
After that, Joana stopped responding altogether. She knew the pressure we were under planning a wedding, coordinating guests from abroad, and dealing with everything that comes with it, but showed no empathy or responsibility. It wasn’t until we threatened legal action that we got our money back, which was the last thing we wanted to do, but we were left with no other choice. Our hope was always to make things work, but FM’s refusal to even consider a fair resolution shattered any trust.
Incredibly, Joana even suggested we cancel the contract without a refund, despite her company's conduct failing to meet basic legal and consumer standards. On top of that, FM failed to provide an online complaints book, which is a legal requirement in many places.
Joana's leadership of FM reflects an egocentric, unprofessional approach. She’s marketed as the “heart” behind Fashion Moments, but it seems her true focus is the money in your pocket, not the service she’s supposed to provide. There was zero accountability or customer care, and the inflated pricing was never properly explained. I wouldn’t trust FM with any event, and I strongly recommend others steer clear of this company. Their so-called exclusivity doesn’t exempt them from basic legal obligations, and they certainly don’t deserve your business.
