    Joe was great throughout our entire process. From the time we interviewed him to the day of the wedding, Joe responded promptly and put together a great ceremony! He's so easy to work with and genuine in his work. Definitely recommend!

    Stop your searching right now, you will not find a better fit for your wedding! From the very beginning we felt very comfortable. The very first time we met, it felt as if we had known each other for years. Joe is the most patient, warm hearted, generous, caring, funny.... the list goes on and on, but every word is true. He was willing to work around both of our schedules, and would go the extra mile to make things go as easy and smooth as possible. Our coaching sessions were very helpful and really strengthened my relationship. It helped us create new ways to communicate, and appreciate my husband more. This guy is the real deal, I highly recommend working with Joe and FamilyConnect. Seriously, stop your searching!!!

    Joe was absolutely amazing to work with. When we first decided to choose Joe, we were undecided about the pre-marriage counseling sessions, but are so glad we decided to book them. It was great learning from him ways to problem solve and how to understand your partner better. Well worth the money!

    On the big day he was prompt and prepared and gave an incredible ceremony, start to finish. We are so thankful to have met Joe. My wife and I couldn't have been happier to have found him.

    Not everything is about pricing becuase you get what you pay for and Joe's service was top notch and fully satisfactory! We loved the counseling/ therapy sessions as well which was a huge plus in his wedding services.

    Joe was wonderful. He was always easy to contact and did a great job at our ceremony. I loved that we could read what he would say ahead of time, and I loved that our money went to help out other people who are struggling in their marriages and need counseling. We recommended him to my brother, and he did my brother's ceremony as well, even though it was last minute and he had another ceremony to do that day as well!

    Pastor Joe is AMAZING! He was a Pastor for 12 years, is a family man, and we felt really good about choosing him for our wedding! He can add as much or as little religion into the ceremony and customizes the entire thing for you! Pastor Joe walked us through each step and made the experience as seamless as possible. Our guest even mentioned how unique and personable the ceremony was and he really highlighted my husband and I's journey together. I would recommend him to any and all of my friends and family. Thank you Joe!!!

    Joe was super responsive and customized our ceremony with great memories from our personal lives. We had a super-small ceremony so no rehearsal was needed but he still came in early to make sure everyone knew where to go and what to do! I will highly recommend him again and again!

    Joe was exactly what we were looking for! We had an outside wedding ceremony and he catered it to how we wanted it to be. He will incorporate as much or as little religion in your ceremony as you want. He put a lot of time and effort into getting to know us and made sure our ceremony was personal. We really enjoyed his classes too. These were great to have before our wedding and have learned tools that we started using right away. I would recommend Joe to absolutely everyone! He was great to work with and am so happy we found him!

    Joe was incredibly easy to work with and we ended up with an even better ceremony than we could have thought possible. I can't tell you how many people came up to us and raved about our ceremony and Joe as our officiant. Joe really made everything easy and relaxed for us and we never had a doubt that he was the right choice for us.

    Joe McAlpine of FamilyConnect Weddings was an absolute charm to work with. Upon our very first meeting, he treated us as old friends, making it quite easy to open up and share our most cherished memories. He created an exquisite, personal ceremony for us, better than we could have ever imagined on our own.     A true professional, engaged and in-tune with couples' well being.
    When we were searching for an officiant my husband and I never thought to look for one that offered more than performing the ceremony.
    Joe offers marriage counseling sessions, an unexpected, but a highly recommended and amazing bonus!
    While some people may be reserved and guarded during 'traditional' marriage counseling, Joe's demeanor and suggestion to meet at restaurants and bars really allowed us to feel comfortable. It turned into a deep discussions with an old friend over cocktails - bonus!
    Christy, his wife, was also able to join many sessions which really helped us understand each others point of view.
    Planning a wedding is no doubt time consuming and stressful, Joe was extremely flexible with scheduling the sessions and also kept us to a definite time line. Even more, Joe promises to be a marriage counselor for life and offers 6-month and yearly check-in sessions.
    Joe really went above and beyond to make our ceremony about US. Even though I had read and edited the ceremony script he prepared, he added many things he learned from our counseling sessions and stories from our family and friends. Our ceremony was amazing, he truly captured 'our story' and we still get compliments, months later.
    At rehearsal, Joe was able to organize our wedding party-a group of over 25 people- and perform practice runs, he took the time to announce people by name, again no small feat with the large wedding party.
    Upon arrival on the big day he checked in with both bride and groom to ensure there were no last minute changes, calmed our nerves, and reminded us of the life event we were about to embark on. Joe performed an amazing ceremony despite unanticipated background noise and he politely kept the Mother of the Bride and other members of the bridal party in-check despite their many requests.
    We are beyond thrilled with our decision to work with Joe, trust me, you will be too!

    Like many other couples on this website, we were looking for a wedding officiant but didn't know where to start. After all, it's a big decision on the biggest day of your life so we were understandably nervous... but all of that went away when we met Joe. Joe recently officiated our wedding in late July of this year, and we could not be any happier with the results. He was warm, personable, funny and a professional from start to finish. My wife and I also did pre-marriage counseling sessions with Joe, and not only did it give us new insights into our relationships and really great tools to use throughout our marriage, it also allowed us to get to know and connect with Joe. The result felt like a long time, good friend up there officiating our wedding, which was exactly what we wanted. We were shocked to receive so many compliments on how many people loved Joe and our service. If you are looking for a fun, smart and personable officiant, we can't recommend Joe enough, and in a world where weddings aren't cheap...Joe was worth every penny. Future couples, book early, because Joe is a rare find in Milwaukee and I don't doubt his services will be in high demand for years to come.

    Joe has been great. We interviewed several officiants before deciding to hire him. He was very informative from initial contact to the first meeting, so we knew what to expect before we met in person. My fiance did not think we needed the pre-marriage counseling, as we have a great relationship, and work hard at it. After the initial meeting with Joe, he changed his mind. Joe explained to us how he works, and what we should expect over the next several months. It has been well worth it. We had our ceremony planning meeting on Saturday, and it went very smoothly. I think the fact that we wrote our ceremony back in December and are now looking for minor tweaks helps. (We were excited, and stuck in the house on a snowy weekend, on call for work.) Right now, we are mainly looking to have the introduction to our ceremony tweaked, I couldn't come up with anything we really liked. I am sure Joe will make the intro great. We are not particularly religious, and he was ok with us leaving religion out of the ceremony. He was very willing to work with us, and we learned wonderful communication tools in the pre-marriage counseling sessions. We are well aware that marriage is hard work, and want to be as prepared as possible for success.

    When my husband and I first met Joe we knew imminently we wanted him to officiate our wedding. Joe really took the time to listen to what my husband and I wanted for our ceremony. Our guests can't stop talking about how well of a job Joe did!

    Joe met with my fiancé and me last Saturday for our first trial premarital session. I was a little nervous as I have never done anything like this before but right away Joe put us at ease. Pretty soon, it was like chatting with an old friend. This is important to us since we need to be able to open up to whoever is our counselor and we felt very comfortable with Joe right away. Joe has a pretty laid back style and is very nonjudgmental. I felt as if I can tell him anything and he would not make me feel bad. I would highly recommend him as a premarital and marital counselor!

    My husband and I planned our wedding in 4 short months and are so thankful that Joe was available to marry us on such short notice. Our initial meeting was a web meeting where we got to know about the process of Joe performing our ceremony. We then had an in person meeting where Joe got to know us as a couple and he then created a customized meaningful to us ceremony. We received MANY compliments about our ceremony and the meaningful things that were included into it, but we received just as many compliments about Joe himself. He captivated our guests and many people commented that at most weddings they "check out" but they enjoyed listening to him speak. You could not go wrong in choosing Joe to perform your wedding ceremony!

    Wow, what a great wedding we had. Joe and his wife are great people!! We also had the pleasure of meeting their wonderful, well behaved children. We were referred by a friend of ours and were very thankful for that. Joe promptly replied to our emails throughout the entire process, even days before the wedding when my wife and I made some major changes to what we wanted in the ceremony. What we like most about Joe was his flexibility and complete customization involving our ceremony. We had read reviews of how well of a traditional officiant he was, however that was not what we were looking for and Joe made the adjustments to fulfill our requests. My beautiful wife and I highly recommend Joe to officiate your wedding!

    Joe was an awesome officiant. He was attentive and thorough, and he officiated our wedding in a way that reflected us as a couple. Our ceremony was fun and heartfelt. Although we didn't know him prior to asking him to be our officiant, our guests commented that he must have been a long time friend of ours because he seemed to have known so much about us as a couple. The truth is that he took time to get to know us! He seemed genuinely happy for our marriage and even took the time to calm my nerves when my stress peaked at rehearsal. Our experience was a good one.

    Going with Joe was the best decision we could have made for our ceremony. Coming from families with slightly different religious backgrounds, we wanted a ceremony that was tailored to our story and focused on our commitment to each other instead of involving the views of the church. Joe was so unbelievably helpful in bringing this to reality. He really took the time to get to know our personalities and worked with us to write the perfect script.

    Joe was fantastic. We were so happy to do our pre-marital counseling with him, as well as the ceremony. I now consider him a friend. My husband and I were just blown away by how he made the ceremony so personal. Our guests laughed and cried with us. Joe took everything we wanted and handled it all. He rolled with changes and when things didn't go perfectly, he made it fun and easy. I couldn't have asked for a better officiant. Joe celebrated our love right along with us. I recommend meeting with him and the premarital counseling. He helped us learn how to speak to each other more positively and lovingly. Something that every marriage needs.
