The moment I booked a morning/brunch wedding, I knew it meant a bright and early start—and Gemina and her team were absolute rockstars. They arrived on time for our 4:30 AM hair and makeup session for myself, my girls, and the moms, and did such a stunning job. They were committed to enhancing our natural beauty and ensuring every person was completely satisfied with their look. Absolutely amazing!

I cannot say enough about Faith and Beauty. They made my day so special. They were so easy to work with leading up to the special day. They were so flexible and accommodated any changes that I wanted. The service was incredible. I sent pictures and we discussed ideas. My husband and I were renewing our vows at Disney’s Aulani Resort. Then the day of the vow renewal it was just magical. Gemina took her time and made it so special for my daughter and I. She was personable and kind and just made the day perfect. I highly recommend.

Makeup and hair stayed all day! Amazing!

Gemina and her team are sweet, professional, and kind. They are also extremely amazing at what they do. Gemina made me feel like princess. And her team made my whole bridal party feel like princesses, too. The hair and makeup stayed ALL DAY, even with multiple instances of tearing up and crying because of all of the happy emotions. Gemina also made my grandma feel so special and beautiful. She said she felt 20+ years younger the whole day because of the amazing job Gemina did with her hair and makeup.

Wedding Makeup Session

My family and I had such a great time with Moani & Gemina! They created magic for my wedding & I was beyond pleased! We had such a great experience with the both of them! They carefully listened to how we all wanted our hair and makeup and oh boy did they deliver! My mother in law and my mom were both glowing! They looked so youthful and beautiful! Gemina came through with soft glowy makeup as I had asked & unfortunately as we were running out of time she politely let me know that we were running behind schedule and so I had to kind of stay put on the makeup chair as isn’t that the issue with most brides as we just cannot stay still?! lol! She took into account that I wanted to be done at a certain time so she tried her best to keep that in mind throughout the process. We still had hair to do and she was able to use her tips & tricks and pull the look together in about 20-30 minutes with 2 minutes to spare! Moani & Gemina really outdid themselves! I got so many compliments on how natural & glowy my makeup was! In this humid weather it did not melt one bit! She even was nice enough to put together a little touchup package with hair necessities & sample lipstick for my wedding as well as gave me some useful makeup advice that I’m truely grateful for! Thank you for being so patient with us! Again, thank you for such a great experience! You both are so down to earth, sweet, and talented!❤️

The most amazing I have ever looked, and the kindest team!

Gemina and her team were absolutely incredible. I went to get my trial hair and makeup done a couple of days before the wedding, and Gemina and I had a ball. She is so kind and easy to talk to -- she completely put me at ease ahead of the big day! And her work is IMPECCABLE. She is a true talent, and the other members of her team are amazing as well. Gemina and her team were truly a dream to work with and I cannot recommend them enough. I hired Gemina to help me with hair and makeup for four events for my wedding, and she did an excellent job. I don't typically wear a lot of makeup, and Gemina was really able to understand my vision for my HMUA and made me feel beautiful without being overly done. She is extremely professional and communicative, and showed up on time every day with a big smile on her face. Her team also made my mom and bridesmaids feel beautiful which was really important to me. Gemina is a wonderful and thoughtful human and I loved spending time with her. Working with Faith & Beauty was one of the best decisions I made in my wedding planning journey and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat if given the chance.

Natural beauty executed!

Gemina and her team were fabulous! During my hair and makeup trial, Gemina really listened to my hair and makeup concerns. She used her experience to gauge what products would work best for my skin and hair. On wedding day, the team was prompt and was on schedule with getting the bridal party's hair and makeup done. It felt like the Faith and Beauty Hawaii team were part of our bridal party since our conversations were fun gossip and laughs. I got the natural and simple hair and makeup look that I was looking for and I felt comfortable in my own skin. My makeup and hair held to the Hawaii heat and humidity without a smudge or curl fallout. It was easy to communicate with Faith and Beauty Hawaii; Gemina will personally call or text you if need be. If I ever need future hair and makeup service, I will definitely contact Faith and Beauty Hawaii again!

Choose Faith & Beauty for your wedding glam!

From the moment I met Gemina, we became fast friends. What was supposed to be an hour-long trial period turned into a 2.5 hour gossip, astrological reading, life vent session. I am forever grateful for Gemina and her team of women for making my big day so special. They all felt like they were part of my bridal party with how well everyone got along! We didn't need to start getting ready until 11am (unheard of!!) for 7 bridesmaids, a bride, and 2 moms ending promptly at 3:30 when the photographers arrived. It was the most efficient glam team I'd ever worked with, especially for a large group of women on a wedding day! Every single person was so happy with their final look, especially myself :) I'd never felt so beautiful - Gemina went above and beyond for me and for that, I can't thank her enough. To be able to balance the personalities, dynamics, and beauty expectations of that many women is a true skill and Gemina's team did it without hesitation. They are all professionals and exceptional at what they do.

Faith & Beauty FTW!

The team over at Faith & Beauty are literally THE BEST! One of the most important vendors to book is your hair and makeup team and so after getting engaged, i knew i had to start researching. Living up on the mainland, i had one shot to do trial runs with a few companies. Two of my cousins that are local both recommended Gemina and her team and boy were they right! While the other two i tested with did perfectly good work, Gemina's came off both flawlessly AND natural! She made me look and feel glam but not too heavy! My makeup for my trial, engagement photos and wedding turned out perfectly! In fact after my trial, we went to brunch and i asked my future FIL to help take a pic in front of the Christmas tree - he kinda brushed me off b/c he didn't even recognize me!!! and when he finally realized, he was soooo complimentary saying i looked so beautiful! hahah.

On the day of the wedding, Gemina, Faith and Rachel, came on time and full of energy to get the day started! It was like a party with your girlfriends! We had the hawaiian jams on and people were singing to the fish and the poi while our hair and makeup were being set. One of my bridesmaids even remarked she felt like she looked like she was on the cover of vogue magazine!!! Our hair and makeup held up the ENTIRE day from 9am thru past midnight!!! Considering it was high 80s with tons of humidity and trust me, we were sweating during pre-ceremony pictures, it was a miracle we still looked perfect!!!

If you want natural glam with a laid back vibe, you want to book Faith and Beauty!! You don't need headaches or worry, you want fun and happiness to start off your wedding the right way!!!

Professional/Flexible/Wonderful

Gemina and her team was wonderful to work with. I wasn't sure of how my wedding look will be and Gemina gently guided me through the process. First, lets talk about her commitment, working on her bday because it was the only day she could fit me in while I was on the island for the trial run in June, before my wedding in October. Second, on my wedding day, Gemina and her team makes us feel special, kindly reminded our crazy bridesmaid to not ruin their masterpiece by running around in the sun, and gently nudged us to "clean up" for photography! We were a hot mess on my beautiful day but Gemina calmly navigate through it. We needed additional services during the wedding plan AND up to the day of the wedding, however, her team manages to pull it off with make up/hair for 9 people, 2 on the wedding day!! Lastly, lets talk about flexibility. I had a second shoot after my wedding day and somehow forgot to inform Gemina of the change in date. The afternoon before my shoot I called G to go through the appointment (it was a Sunday!) and she somehow called everyone on her roster and found a hair/make up artist to fill in. My wedding was a dream and our pictures were magical and they look like us (an enhanced version of us!). Thanks babe, my Gemini's spirit sister, for putting up with the craziness and for being amazing!!!!!

Gemina is the best!

Gemina was so wonderful to work with and did an incredible job on hair and makeup both for me and my mom. She is such a wonderful person and really listened to what both mom and I wanted (very different looks mom likes the drama I love simple) and executed both looks perfectly. I felt so beautiful on my wedding day. Gemina and her assistant Jessica are easy to get ahold of in the planning period and adjusted my contract quickly and graciously when I changed my mind and decided to add some services. Gemina was perfectly on time on the big day and finished just when we agreed she would. I highly recommend!

Gemina is like a friend you say "we should get together more often". I felt like I knew her instantly. Wonderful energy and personality.
The fundamentals: fantastic communication for scheduling and during my services. She arrived exactly on time. Her prices for the extremely quality service cannot be beat.
The service: what a radiant and genuine soul. She makes people look like the best versions of themselves. She took her time but her skill set was so efficient. My makeup lasted so well, I felt as beautiful as I had in years, but felt like ME.
Above and beyond- Gemina couldn't have been more patient and kind to us. She even gave a touch up kit to stay beautiful all day. I feel like she was a long lost friend. Faith & Beauty is AMAZING!

When COVID hit my husband and I decided to cancel our Hawaii wedding. On my trip home I scheduled to have family photos taken. I decided at the last minute that I needed hair and makeup and Gemina was so kind to let me us my credit. She took time on her day off to get me all glammed. Highly Recommend - Amazing!

Gemina’s work, professionalism, and her just as a person is amazing! I booked Gemina for our engagement shoot, our wedding shower and of course our wedding. I was not disappointed on any occasion! Also, two of my sister-in-law’s have used Gemina for their wedding and we all have nothing but great things to say about her and her work.

Due to covid, things were changed around so many times but Gemina was such a team player and made the process seamless and stress free! She even hit an obstacle the morning of the wedding, but even that was stress for me because all she did was call me to inform me of the change and that the problem was already resolved and still everything was done on time. She also makes the process fun, and her and her assistant fit right in, like family! She takes pride in her work and truly makes you feel beautiful! Make-up and hair stayed all day which was awesome! Gemina was wonderful and so friendly! From the first day I contacted her all the way up to the day of the wedding all communication was quick and easy. She and her team made sure questions or concerns were answered with ease. The trial was great; I only went in with various different ideas I had pulled off of pinterest for both my hair and makeup and Gemina was able to create a look that was perfect for me from my random ideas. You absolutely need to hire Gemina!! I cannot say ENOUGH wonderful things about her and her team!! There is a reason Faith & Beauty has so many awesome reviews, they definitely earned every one of them! Gemina and her team are absolutely amazing. We hired them for our destination wedding in Hawaii. I was so beyond nervous about hiring a hair and makeup artist without getting to meet them in person first. It was such a gamble! Their work would be in our wedding photos and video forever!! However, I was so happy when I met Gemina! She was so cool, calm, and down to Earth. She was just so beyond easy to work with. And oh my gosh does she KNOW how to do hair and makeup!!!! She is amazingly talented! What can I say...Gemina is like a fairy godmother with a makeup palette and an airbrush! Gemina and her assistant did our hair and makeup for my wedding last month. I will let my before and after photo as well as the photo of my hair do the talking. She is very, very good with listening to what the bride wants (trust me, I am crazy picky but indecisive) and I trusted her and her skills. She also has a great personality and will make you feel at ease (if not laughing the whole time)! She makes you look like a more beautiful, radiant, and glowing self without overdoing the makeup and making you look fake. Brides: book Gemina if you want that awesome, bridal, I'm getting married-kind of look. You and your pictures/video won't regret it ;)

Gemina is the best makeup on Oahu! She is so sweet and professional, but also makes you feel like family. We had so much in common but come from different parts of the world. Gemina and her assistant did our hair and makeup for my wedding in January and the work is flawless. I had a total of 5 bridesmaids plus myself. She was on time, and assured me the work would be done fast. I love her airbrush technique that lasted well throughout the night with all the humidity in Hawaii. My hair was half up half down and lasted throughout the night, and well into the next day. All my maids chose to do updo's and theirs was perfect the next day as well. I did come out for a trial run in August and I'm glad I did because it made it less worrisome for myself and my 'maids BUT it wasn't necessary. The photos don't lie. We are the RUBIOs and tied the knot on July 22nd, 2017. We hired Gemina from Faith and Beauty to do hair and makeup for the Bride and bridal party that included 5 Maids and 1 Flower girl. We first saw her at a wedding expo at NBC and hired her immediately. We also trailed H&M ahead of time and used that session for an engagement shoot. We love Gemina as a MUA, she does fantastic work! For hair, she incorporated a halo hairpiece and styled my wedding hair beautifully. The size of our wedding party required Gemina and a second MUA, they both did amazing work! My maids loved both their hair and makeup. Our flower girl also enjoyed her experience. We also hired Gemina to cover a small tattoo over the brides shoulder; coverage was awesome and looked flawless in our wedding photos. As the bride I was very happy with the results. Faith and Beauty was prompt the morning of my wedding day. My planner was able to provide the details of my location and Gemina had no trouble finding the bridal party at Turtle Bay Resort. Gemina completed the entire bridal party on schedule and in time for photo and video. She was also a team player allowing video and photo to capture candid's of applying makeup and putting on the veil. I would love to hire her again to do my hair and makeup for a future special event!

Gemina did my hair and makeup for my engagement photos and my wedding, and also styled my 4 bridesmaids' hair. She did such a great job, exactly the looks I wanted! My makeup was very natural but still photographed extremely well. The hairstyles she gave my bridal party and I also went along with the more casual, romantic look I was going for, but also lasted long and looked amazing. Go with Gemina - YOU CANNOT GO WRONG!! Ironically, I found the exact make-up I wanted for my beach wedding on her website. I knew it as soon as I saw it! She's sweet and personable and really makes you feel comfortable. I knew I chose the right person when on my trial day my mom and best friend kept telling me I needed "more of this" or "have it more like that" and Gemina whispered into my ear "Don't worry, we can do whatever YOU want." She knew how I was feeling and immediately put me at ease. I loved, loved my hair and make-up - it was EVERYTHING I imagined...simple, elegant and beautiful. THANK YOU, GEMINA!!!

I was actually pretty nervous when I had to find a make up & hair service for my destination wedding. I probably emailed 5 different make up artists, but Faith & Beauty stood out to me personally as Gemina was responsive and really friendly on her emails. She was also willing to travel to my Waikiki condo to do a last minute hair & make up trial (3 days before my big day!). That just made things so much more convenient for me. Gemina did a great job even on the trial! She listened to my likes and dislikes, what my daily hair & make up routine are. She also made sure I wrote some notes on how the make up & hair holds up during that trial day. She's really sweet, funny, easy going, accommodating, and talented. I think Faith & Beauty is reasonably priced - also, payments could be done online (yay!).

On my big day, she came on time with her assistant. I wasn't even nervous during the make up & hair session, Gemina and her assistant made all my girls feel so comfortable and stress-free. They were VERY accommodating to my needs as well as for the bridal party - that includes 2 mothers and 2 bridesmaids. They also used airbrush foundation, which made our skins look so flawless and stayed flawless for 8+ hours! Thank you so much for being so patient with us and doing such an AWESOME job on everyone. You made all of us feel so beautiful, especially me, on my once-in-a-lifetime wedding, so blessed to have known you. I highly recommend Gemina's hair and make up services!

Gemina did a great job at my wedding. I had to depend on a preferred vendor list and reviews to book my Hair and MUA)for our destination, and after reading her stellar reviews, I was set. All of the girls loved their updos (especially the littles) and she did a phenomenal job with my hair and makeup. I am not someone who wears a lot of makeup or does much with my hair outside of a pontytail, but she was able to bring to live the picture I had in my mind and she made me feel glamorous and beautiful for the day. My husband was just floored! She is amazing and I am so grateful to have had her part of my day!

Gemina is hands down THE BEST! First of all, she's a seriously awesome person and I had a ton of fun with her, and second, she made me look and feel absolutely BEAUTIFUL on my wedding day! My very honest girlfriends and mother all said that they had seen me look pretty before, but never anything close to this; And needless to say my now husband was totally and completely blown away! Gemina was AH-mazing! I was not 100% sure on how I wanted my makeup when she showed up to Dillingham Ranch but she blew it out of this world. I felt like the most beautiful bride and the look on my grooms face said it all. Being a bride with a destination wedding, it was very daunting not knowing exactly how the hair and make up will look until I arrived in Hawaii. Gemina was an absolute angel!! Gemina came with high recommendations and I'm so glad I got to work with her on our best day. She has a quick response time and is very organized. I really appreciated having all the contract details up front and I really liked her online contract and payment system. My coordinator suggested a trial and Gemina travels to you so we ended up doing the trial the day before at the venue which worked out really well and was convenient. I loved my and my bridesmaid's makeup and hair. Gemina also did my mother's hair and makeup and my mom was hesitant at first when I suggested professional hair and makeup and in the end she said she was glad she did it :)

I was very nervous about hiring a hair and make up artist for my destination wedding in Hawaii. I wasn't one of those fortunate people who could fly to the islands early and pick everything out prior to the wedding. I honestly don't even remember how I found F&B but I'm so grateful I did. Gemina was able to come to the rental where the wedding was and was amazing.
Let me give you some insight...I'm not in my 20's and I'm not those models you see in every wedding catalog. I got braces in my 30's, yes 30's, and had them on for the wedding. Also, the day before the ceremony I got a HORRIBLE sunburn with the sunglasses marks on your face. Gasp! OMG...this was a nightmare. Anyway, Gemina rocked! I got the pictures back and you can't even see the sunburn lines. It is honestly the most beautiful I have ever felt and I'm now hooked on having my hair and make up done for any big event!
I'd recommend her in a heartbeat!

Gemina was one of my favorite vendors! I found Gemina through the bridal expo. I didn't actually meet her at the expo, but loved her brochure style. She listened to all my requests and looked at all my inspiration pictures and came up with a beautiful look during my trial. On the big day she was so fun to work with and my bridesmaids even loved her and her assistant Heather. We had a lot of laughs that morning. My makeup and hair stayed put throughout the whole day and night. It looked amazing and I felt like a princess. I highly recommend Gemina and will not hesitate to hire her again for any future special occasions where I need to look fancy.

I was planning a destination and was nervous about hiring vendors without meeting them first. I found Gemina online and loved her before and after photos so I decided to hire her. Let me just say that I accidentally signed the contract for the wrong date! She caught on and contacted my wedding coordinator. They had the problem solved before I even knew and she was able to rearrange her schedule to accommodate our wedding. I felt so blessed that she would do that. The trial was great. I showed her some pictures and she did my hair and make up. I spent the day thinking about what I liked and didn't like, then day of I told her and she made my make up perfect! She was so easy going and professional. Her attitude and personality was a great addition to the day of getting ready festivities. I also though that her prices were very great for the bride's hair and makeup. A lot of make up artists charge a lot for the bride but hers was very reasonable. I loved the way the bridesmaids hair and make up turned out as well. Our wedding photos are so great and she definitely helped make that happen. I would highly recommend her to anyone considering her for hair and make up.

I hired Gemina for my wedding (hair and makeup trial + day-of services for my three bridesmaids and I), and she was FABULOUS. At the trial, she was so friendly and willing to work with the photos I had, plus she took notes and photos so she could replicate the look on the wedding day. Since I don’t normally wear a lot of makeup, I asked for a more natural look, and she did an amazing job without making me look too done-up.

On the big day, she arrived promptly and brought her assistant to make sure all of us girls would be right on schedule. More importantly, she is so sweet and has the calmest demeanor – the moment she arrived I immediately felt relaxed and knew I was in good hands. We all had a blast just chatting away, and before we knew it, it was time for the first look!

Gemmina was referred to me by the person that helped me find my dress at David's Bridal who is originally from Hawaii. I lost the card where her name was located and then ended up doing a Yelp search and contacted another makeup and hair stylist who said she was full but referred me to her as well. After receiving her info, I found her card and realized that she was the same person I was referred to originally. This made me realize that I had to use her. I contacted her via yelp and she replied promptly and was extremely accommodating. She first met me for a trial run 2 days before wedding and was amazing and a joy to work with. I was not sure what I wanted and she listened to my ideas and photos I showed her. She gave me exactly what I wanted. I loved the fact that she wrote notes and took pictures and asked me to let her know about any changes I wanted based on that initial experience. On the day of my wedding, she arrived exactly at the time she said she would and had a schedule that she closely followed. She did my hair and makeup and my daughter's hair (flower girl) and my best friend's hair and makeup. We were both extremely impressed with her work and loved the final product. I loved my hair and makeup for the actual wedding and it held up for a hot beach ceremony. I loved the fact that she accommodated me and was willing to work with me even though I was a "solo bride and flower girl " job and did not have bridesmaids. I would definitely recommend her to any bride looking to have a beautiful hair and makeup job for their big day. My pictures turned out amazing and she made my day extra special.

I loved working with Gemina for my wedding and was so happy that we went with her. First things first, she did an incredible job, she is so talented and made me feel so beautiful. She was thoughtful and responsive to my feedback -- we did a trial run a whole ten months before the wedding because I was out of town, and she managed to figure out what I wanted (when even I wasn't sure) and on top of that, she remembered it down to the very last detail on the wedding day even though we had not gone over it again. She has an amazing attitude, is professional and flexible, and rolled with the punches even when we had a scheduling mix-up. She was willing to make it work even when there were last-minute changes, and wanted to go the extra mile on everything -- I cried off my false lashes at the ceremony (lol) and she almost drove all the way back just to make sure that tiny detail was fixed. On top of all that, she is just a lovely person, and she made everything so fun!!!! I recommend her wholeheartedly!

Wow! Where do I start? Gemina was an absolute joy to work with. She is down to earth, extremely nice, flexible, and definitely wants to please everyone. I am pretty basic when it comes to everyday makeup and am very insecure with how I look. I felt very comfortable with Gemina and wanted to go all out with my wedding makeup. Gemina did a fabulous job with not only the bridal hair and makeup but the MOB and bridesmaids as well. I got so many complements on how I looked. I was embarrassed and shocked when my MOH brought hair pieces to be added and curled into her up-do. I knew that this was extra time and work for Gemina and felt bad that is was sprung onto her. But Gemina she took it in stride and wasn't phased at all. I would definitely work with Gemina again and recommend her. Be patient with communications since wedding season is all-year round in Hawaii. You won't be disappointed.

Gemina and her partner were amazing! My wedding was earlier in the day and they were willing to arrive at the crack of dawn to begin the hair and makeup process. Gemina did an awesome job for our wedding and was such a pleasure to work with! Doing the trial run with her was very helpful. I like how she took notes & pictures of everything at the trial, and followed-up with me that night to see how my hair and make-up held up so she could make adjustments accordingly. During the planning stages, she was quick to reply to emails, and kept good communication. She is also good with "going green", we took care of all payments electronically, I didn't have to send anything through the mail! Lastly, having her there to do my hair and make-up on the day of my wedding, made me feel very calm and relaxed. She even came thru although she was expecting to have her baby in few days! Gemina was an absolute gem for my wedding! Having read great reviews for her, it enabled me to make a well informed decision + I hope my review will help future brides. I booked make-up services for both myself and my mom. Gemina was great from the time of booking - she eased any concerns I had and was available to speak with whenever I had any questions. When it came time for my trial, she effortlessly navigated her way through the traffic, hotel and the trial...all while being 8 months pregnant! She was so amazing and great to talk to. She's able to make you feel comfortable and I (personally) felt that by the time the trial ended, I had made a friend! When the wedding day came, she was early and prepared. I had made some notes on my make-up and she listened to my concerns and made quick decisions about how to avoid some of those issues all while keeping up with the timeline and allowing me to look and feel my best once she was done. I couldn't have been more thrilled with my make-up!! It looked amazing and lasted the entire day (even through a cake smash to my face)!

Faith and Beauty was recommended by my wedding coordinator and I'm so happy that I decided to go with them. Gemina and her team were awesome. They both did a great job with hair and makeup and my girls and I looked awesome. Germina and Sara both have a great personality so they were easy to talk to and we had a blast with them. They were also very accomodating to make sure that our hair and makeup was to our liking. Both my mother and I requested to have part of our makeup redone because we didnt like the heavy makeup look (even though we were the ones that initially requested it) and they happily obliged. I actually requested a different look the day of (than what was planned from the trial) and provided Gemina with a picture of the look I wanted to achieve. She was able to get me the look that I wanted and everyone said that my makeup looked beautiful but most importantly, I felt like me in my makeup...just prettier. :) Highly recommend them.

I booked Gemina after she had done the makeup for my sister's wedding. She did the makeup for my engagement photos and also my 11/24/12 wedding. I never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day- which is exactly the way it should be! My bridesmaids looked incredible and my mom looked radiant. I felt so amazing. I love Gemina! She and her team made all my girls look so good for the wedding! Everyone was complementing how beautiful my mom and my mother and sisters-in-law looked! Of course everyone loved my hair and make-up too! My hair stayed on for the whole 8+hrs of wedding day---even with the Ko'Olina winds. My make up was flawless--even after staying for 30 mins under the hot sun!
Gemina and her team were great! Everyone was really comfortable with them---and really, for me, part of hiring people is not only by the work they do but the comfort level I feel around them. And honestly, if you are going to sit in front of someone for 2-4 hrs (depending on the service you get), you might as well find someone you can easily talk to and have a real conversation with right?!
They were really fast with their service too! I had 10 girls get full hair and make-up done and they got everyone done ahead of schedule.
She is very flexible with her schedule when I was trying to set up my trial and very easy to contact (email, call and text).

Hi Gemina! Thank you soooo much for always being so friendly and efficient! You knew exactly how to replicate the way I wanted to look on our wedding day and nailed it! Soft and natural! If your are looking for a down to earth, laid back, positive, personable and someone who takes your ideas into consideration and puts that all into what you had pictured, Gemina is the way to go. While planning for my Hawaiian wedding (all the way from Texas!) I found Gemina's information and was giver her recommendation from various vendors. I quickly e-mailed her to check on her availability and pricing. Gemina was always timely in her responses and professional. I found her rates to be extremely reasonable and a great value. We stayed in contact during the intervening period before my wedding and put in place a contract detailing the services to be provided. Gemina was on time and prepared on my wedding day. She did my mother's and my hair and makeup, and we couldn't have been more impressed. She took what we wanted (including pictures) and included a few of her own flares and suggestions to make our makeup and hair fun, natural and exactly what we wanted on my big day. Having Gemina there that morning was fun and relaxing, and her positive, fun attitude put my wedding stress to ease. I highly recommend Gemina for any events. Thank you for such a wonderful job!

All of the bridesmaids loved their hair and makeup! The girls with thin hair got volume and the girls with thick hair got tight simple updo's. I loved my side updo! So easy to communicate with Gemina! After our trial run, I aired some concerns with her, and she was so open to suggestions. The final product ended up being that much better! Thank you!

I've always admired Gemina's work and thought, if I ever get married I definitely want her to do my makeup! So when I got engaged, I contacted her right away! I really wanted to go with a natural look for my wedding day and she did just that! I couldn't have been any happier with my makeup! Gemina was wonderful to work with. I was a bit frazzled with planning a destination wedding and she was wonderful at communicating via phone and email. We scheduled a trial when we got to the island and she carefully listened to what I envisioned.
The wedding preparation went smoothly. The mothers and flower girls looked lovely and I have never looked better. Thank you, Gemina, Monae and Faith & Beauty for making me look amazing!

Gemina and her assistant were great! I was a bit scared to find and book Makeup Artist and Hair Dresser for a destination wedding. After picking few, based on reviews and cost combine, I found that Faith & Beauty has also great customer service - they responded to my request super-fast and communication is a MUST for any wedding, especially destination wedding!

I have decided to pick trial package as well to make sure I will be getting exactly what I am looking for my wedding. Gemina and her assistant exceeded my expectations! I was intervening giving advices on my hair, but they assure that they know what to do and I was not disappointed!

After trial my mom and my friends were stunned with how great the look was and that nothing needed to be changed!

At my wedding day on August 20, 2010 I felt like a Million bucks and my husband couldn't take away eyes from me. :)

Aloha everyone

We had a small beach ceremony on 10/10/10 in the most beautiful beach that I have ever seen, Angels bay at Waimanolo beach. Gemina and her assistant did my hair and my make-up and they did such an amazing job. I could not have been happier with my wedding makeup. I felt like a model in all my pictures, I cannot express how pleased I am with my experience with Gemina. Thank you so much for such a great experience. I love Faith and Beauty makeup! Gemina and Sarah were wonderful. They arrived on time and listened to what I wanted. They are very nice and professional. I don't usually wear makeup so I was kind of worried about having way too much makeup on and looking horrible, but Gemina did a great. She was able to make me look and feel wonderful. Gemina did such an amazing job for my North Shore wedding! I was a little worried booking hair and make-up for such an important day from a few thousand miles away, but Gemina was very prompt in email response and any questions or concerns I had.

They arrived on time at my hotel for our appointment and took less then an hour to do my hair and make-up.

I would gladly recommend Faith & Beauty to any bride.

My wedding was really little, but I still wanted a professional to make me look good! Sarah came to our hotel and did a fantastic job with my hair! I was extremely pleased with her professionalism, kindness, and talent. Coordinating everything with Gemina was a breeze as well! Gemina's services were great. My five bridesmaids and I were beautified in a timely manner on the day of my wedding. Everyone was extremely pleased with their makeup and hair! Returning home to Hawaii from Las Vegas for my wedding aboard the Navatek I was very exciting. Gemina made it even more beautiful with her great work! I was so worried about looking good on my special day. We got together before my big day to pick out the right look and colors. WOW! I was 47yrs then and she managed to achive a great look for me. I was stressed on my big day until Gemina arrived at my hotel room. Her sweet spirit had such a calming effect on me. I am a flight attendant and carry my wedding picture on my lanyard. I get great compliments all the time. In fact it was the only photo I ever took that did not require any touch ups! Gemina is truly a "GEM"!

Gemina is an incredibly talented artist and so sweet! I stumbled upon her when she was working at a makeup counter and after she applied my makeup better than anyone before had, I was thrilled to find out she did bridal applications. Honolulu was my second reception (I grew up there but my husband and I got married in Chicago where we currently live), so it was low key. After looking at all our professional pictures, though, I wish Gemina had been around for the big shindig in Chicago! My makeup was so much more flattering and more natural looking than the fancy makeup artist I used in Chicago. Gemina even made my eyes look even (I have a double fold on one eye and no fold on the other)! She did my mom's makeup, too, and we both still talk about how great we felt with Gemina's work :D Gemina is such a pleasure to have around, too, as she is so calm and is the sweetest lady. The morning of the reception, I felt as thought I was just chatting with a girlfriend as she made me look gorgeous. I wish I could have her with me every time I go out on the town!

Wow is all I can say about Gemina and the beautiful work she does! I found her prices to be more reasonable than most H&MUA on the island and I had originally planned on hiring her only for my hair because I enjoy doing my own makeup. Some of my bridesmaids wanted their makeup professionally done so I scheduled a hair and makeup trail and she turned me into a believer! I ended up booking hair and makeup services for myself, my 5 bridesmaids, my mother, and my mother-in-law as a treat for us all. Gemina brought along two colleagues to help on our wedding day and everyone was friendly and fun! Each of the women in my wedding wanted different styles of hair and makeup and they just showed a picture of what they wanted and the ladies made it happen! She made us all look and feel beautiful and confident! I would recommend Faith & Beauty for any special occasion in your life!

Gemina was amazing! We had a dream wedding in Hawaii with just our closest family on leap day this year and she was part of making it absolutely perfect. I had a panic moment last minute finding out that my sister-in-law didn't have makeup services planned yet and Gemina took it in stride. She got to our hotel room early and somehow made plenty of time to do hair and makeup for me, my mother, and my sister-in-law. She kept us entertained the entire time and helped decrease some of the anxiety! She told us a lot about the island and herself and afterward my mom and I were talking and our comments were along the lines of "I'm so glad we picked her services. She was really nice - she made us feel so comfortable on a crazy day." I would recommend her to everyone. I am so glad that we went with Faith and Beauty.

Gemina from Faith & Beauty was a pleasure to work with. She came recommended by my planner and when I did my research on her I literally couldn’t find one bad review. She did both my hair and make-up and I felt beautiful without feeling overdone.

We did a practice run the morning of my Bridal Shower (2 days before my wedding). It was just the two of us in my hotel room and it was nice to be pampered and work with her directly on the look I was going for without a lot of distraction. The practice run was helpful in that we talked through and tweaked a few things for the wedding.

I was nervous the morning of my wedding. But she had such a calming presence – there was a lot of swirl and commotion with everyone getting ready and people coming in and out. She had a calm, cool vibe and had us laughing with a couple entertaining stories. We even sang along to some random Beyonce songs at one point.

Her payment methods, contracts and invoices – everything is done very easily online which made things a breeze. I was also encouraged and inspired by her story. It’s nice to see an independent businesswoman doing something she is obviously so passionate about and gifted at to boot!

Gemina and her team were amazing. They did a fantastic job on my bridal party and the flower girls. Gemina knows what she is doing and listened to what I wanted as well. My look for the day was natural but still picture perfect! Gemina is a busy lady so it was tough getting used to waiting at times especially as a planning bride) to hearing back from her but once you know that, it's easy not to overthink it. She did always respond in the end and easy to work with. We did my trial at home which made it convenient and she took good notes. I'd highly recommend Gemina!

Faith & Beauty did a wonderful job on not only my hair/makeup, but the most important thing, peace of mind before and during my wedding day!! I planned my wedding long distance from CA and had never seen the venues, vendors, etc.! Gemina e-mailed and Skyped with me to ensure she knew what I was looking for. She listened to what I wanted and I was so happy with the results. I was a little concerned about looking too made up, but she did a great job. I recommend the airbrush foundation and eyelashes, they look great in real life and in the photos. Thank you Gemina!!

Amazing Hair & Makeup

I initially saw Gemina's work on Instagram (@faithandbeautyhawaii) while researching hair and makeup vendors for my wedding. I pretty much knew from that moment on that I wanted to hire her.
I hired Gemina to do my engagement photo shoot hair & makeup, bridal trial, bridal hair & make up (day of) and my 6 bridesmaids + 1 mom (day of). Gemina was very easy to work with scheduling appointments via email. My engagement photoshoot hair & makeup came out so amazing. It looked so nice in my pictures!
On the day of the wedding, Gemina and her team were very professional, yet personable, and on time with the schedule. Everyone, including me, loved their hair and makeup. Gemina and her team did such an amazing job. I would 100% recommend her for hair and makeup services.
