Everglades Wonder Gardens Reviews

My daughter had her fairytale wedding at The Wonder Gardens and it was gorgeous! Most of the guests were coming from out of town and really loved the taste of old Florida, with the gorgeous gardens, ponds and aviaries throughout. The kids loved seeing the birds and reptiles and all the guests loved wandering through the painterly pathways around the property. We had the whole place to ourselves so were able to spread out to all the different areas for the reception, cocktail hour and ceremony and photos. The staff was so nice and very accommodating. We were so happy we chose The Wonder Gardens instead of the typical beach scene for her SWFL wedding. The Wonder Gardens has so much to offer. We got amazing photos and were able to really personalize it with our decorattions. I highly recommend The Wonder Gardens for a wedding or any special event.

The place was a beautiful environment, nice staff, organized, cool animals. I recomend this place for future activities.

Zawi and the Team at the Everglades Wonder Garden were outstanding to work with for our daughter’s wedding! Zawi was always quick to respond and always willing to assist in anyway she can. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and the evening of the wedding Zawi helped entertain guests while pictures were being taken by taking the guests around to feed the animals. This was our daughter, Lisa’s dream setting for her special day! Zawi, thank you for helping to make Lisa and Chad’s wedding PERFECT!

Planning a wedding during a pandemic had its challenges, but the ceremony space at Everglades Wonder Gardens was a bright spot in this process! Zawi Borsa was fantastic! She is the Event Manager at Everglades, and she was cooperative, helpful and accommodating throughout the process as our guest numbers changed and as we adapted to current local regulations. Having just re-opened to the public a week prior to the wedding, the team there went above and beyond to set up the tea house and surrounding area perfectly. The grounds were picture perfect, and all of the guests commented on the beauty of the space and the enjoyment of interacting with the animals for the morning. Zawi was instrumental in coordinating the rehearsal and the procession on the day of the ceremony. They even allowed us a space for the bride to change. The ceremony in the tea house was under cover (you just never know in Florida) and airconditioned. It has a vintage feel and beautiful architecture inside and out which needed no extra decorations as it was captivating on its own. The bride and groom had the intimate ceremony they wanted in a picture perfect location.

The venue itself is beautiful, that being said, I would not have our wedding here if I had to do it again. The event manager, Tere, was by far the worst vendor I had to work with. She was rude and condescending after not answering me for over a month and half. She then was rude to our guests the day of and demanded people started cleaning. Since I did not get answers I was notified of needing to hire an additional vendor for alcohol within the same week as our wedding. It is extremely unfortunate as the venue really is stunning.
