If having a great party is on your must haves, HIRE CHONG! We really appreciated Chong wanted to meet us before booking, to ensure we were a compatible couple with his style. He took the time to really get to know us as a couple, our music taste and what we were looking for on our big day. Now - we had 2 pretty big asks of Chong 1) our entrance HAD to be Chicago Bulls style, a request of my husband. We also had played flip cup when we first entered this set the mood for the entire night so it needed to be full of energy. 2) I had a list of songs I wanted a piano version of for our ceremony. He absolutely delivered on BOTH of these, perfectly. Chong even attended our rehearsal which surprised me but I'm grateful because I had missed filling in a few songs for our processional. Another thing: our venue provided a sound system and Chong checked it out but still brought his regular setup. It's a good thing he did because once the space was filled with guests the system provided wasn't enough. He was professional and prepared for any challenge thrown his way during our special day, weather included.Our night was exactly how we pictured, the party kept going and all of our guests still tell us he was the reason they had a fantastic time. So far two attendees at our wedding are also using him for theirs! -

Chong with Events By Lor was the best DJ and MC we could have imagined for our wedding celebration. From our first conversation, he was genuine, organized, and personable. I had a very specific vision for our ceremony and reception, and he nailed it. Our dance floor was packed the whole night. You will not regret hiring him for your event! -

My husband and I hired Chong for our wedding this past July and he was absolutely amazing! After our first meeting with him, I felt like he understood our music taste so well. The entire night he was playing songs that my husband and I both knew. But even better, he was playing just the right songs to get the guests on the dance floor! The last few hours of the night reserved for dancing, the dance floor was only empty once (and that was after we did the copper head road line dance, so we needed a breather). We had guests from ages 13-80 years old and everyone was able to dance to something fun.
Chong is not only a mastermind when it comes to music, but he is also one of the kindest people I have ever worked with. He is genuine and warm-hearted. The music was so good, Chong even had to hit the dance floor! -

I cannot recommend Chong more for your next event! Throughout our wedding process, Chong was reachable and ready to help with any questions we had. He was well organized and reached out well in advance to set up meetings to ensure our music was perfect for our wedding day. We had an in person meeting to run through all things music, as well as general logistic items we hadn’t even thought about. The music and flow of our wedding day could not have been more perfect. Starting at cocktail hour, we were already getting compliments from guests about how great the music was. One of my bridesmaid’s noted she had to make a concerted effort to eat her dinner because she couldn’t stop dancing in her seat. Our dancefloor was packed all night and it was all thanks to Chong, his awesome music, and amazing mixing!! To top it all off, after the wedding he sent a full google drive of tons of content he and his assistant took throughout the day. Chong and his team are absolutely incredible to work with, I cannot recommend them enough! -

As a DJ myself, who do you hire to DJ and Emcee your daughter’s Charleston wedding? The best! As a wedding DJ for the past 20 plus years, I know that the right entertainment can make or break the reception. Chong and I were coworkers for many years and I couldn’t think of anyone better to DJ my daughter’s wedding than him! I made the right decision. He knocked it out of the park. We had a blast. Events by Lor did an extraordinary job at our wedding! Chong knows how to read the room and keep the dance floor lively and exciting. He really knows how to keep the party going! We appreciate his guidance with the timeline starting from beginning of ceremony to grand exit. Ronin his assistant was wonderful as well and captured some amazing content that I cherish so dearly! It gives us something to have while we wait to receive the ones from our videographer and photographer! We highly recommend booking Events by Lor for your event!!! -

Chong was amazing to work with. We got married on 10.28.2023 and found him by being a preferred vendor with our venue. We had one meeting with him and we knew he was going to be our DJ. He has multiple meetings with you before your event to make sure he gets everything you want.
Chong is very detailed oriented, fun, and can quickly adapt to changes. We had him change things instantly during our wedding and you wouldn’t have known it wasn’t part of the plan. He even did karaoke at our wedding! He really brings the life of the party and makes you feel like family.
I can’t say enough good things about him. If you’re looking for a DJ look no further! He will go above and beyond to make your vision come true. -

There are not enough words I can conjur to tell you just how perfect this DJ is. Before we even booked him he was so enthusiastic to help me and my husband. We had a Halloween wedding and boy did Chong deliver on his costume. This man put bacon on his face. That is dedication. He is extremely professional. He malped out our whole night for us. If you need a DJ, Events By Lorr is your person! -

Chong and his team did a phenomenal job at our wedding! He was very accommodating with our time, professional, and easy going with our scheduled meetings. Chong took the time to get to know us as a couple and our taste in music. From MC to music, everything was flawless. Our guests had the BEST time on the dance floor, all night! Awesome DJ + MC!
When I say DJ Chong is LIT, I mean he brought the fire to the dance floor at our wedding! I found Events by Lor on an Instagram story as he DJ'd for a multi-cultural wedding. I was on the lookout for a DJ + MC that was experienced in westernized and Vietnamese culture and had to inquire about his services. My now husband and I were set on him being our DJ at our wedding right after our initial consultation with him. He even travels (Our wedding was in Wilmington, NC). He ensured all my "to-play" suggestions were all considered (this included cultural songs) and we felt so special as all our suggested songs were played during ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. I had specific songs to give to him which was a mix my cousins made for their choreographed dance and also my bridal entrance song which he gladly placed on his list to play. He even worked/collaborated with one of our other vendors from another DJ company whom had CO2 cannons and jets at our wedding.. and let me tell you he had the place HYPE! During the time of shooting the CO2 cannon he played my requested mix of Levels by Avicii and transitioned into Pepas by Furruko. The crowd was literally going wild! The uplighting in his packages sets the mood for a party. DJ Chong and his team are prompt to answer any questions, there to give you song suggestions, and professional. You'll feel like you have made a new friend. DJ Chong will give you a wedding that is unforgettable and I highly recommend him, No words can't express how thankful we are to have him DJ + MC at our wedding, Thank you so much Events by Lor!!! -

DJ Chong is the absolute BEST!! He did such an amazing job MCing and DJing our wedding ceremony and reception! First and foremost - he was extremely organized and professional throughout the entire planning process, as well as on the big day. I never had to worry about any kind of timing or logistics issues, which was a huge stress reliever!!
Second of all - he made the party so much fun!! I gave him a list of a few "must play" and "do not play" songs and he took those and did the perfect job of capturing exactly the type of vibe/energy/music that I was wanting. All of our guests could not stop talking about how much fun they had, and how great the music was!! The dance floor was full the whole night long! We had a wide range of ages that attended from college students to grandparents and Chong was able to make sure that everyone heard music that they enjoyed.
If you are looking for a DJ who is organized, knows how to ensure guests have a great time, and is just an overall good person then look no further than Events By Lor!! -

Events by Lor was the DJ for my wedding and he was phenomenal! We chose him due to a recommendation from our wedding venue and we could not have been happier with that decision. Perfection!
Events by Lor! What more can I say! Chong and Mai ku were such a stupendous team to work with! These two made everything so easy and stress-free! Amazing DJ/MC
Working with Chong, you not only get everything in your package, you get even more. With the high levels of stress and long list of to-do’s for us with the wedding, Chong stepped in to schedule meetings with us, called to check on us and get our opinions on things, created a day-of timeline for us, and also reached out to our vendors and venue to make sure things run perfectly without us having to add-on to our plate. We are so appreciative of his professionalism, assertiveness, and taking initiative. Chong knows how to work the crowd with his music selection. Our guests didn’t even want to leave! We highly recommend Chong and we guarantee you will not be disappointed. -

Chong is an exceptional DJ. He did a wonderful job for my wedding. His attention to details and promptness to the schedule made our wedding flow so well! He was literally there from the beginning to the end. I feel you get a special deal since he helps you actually plan out your schedule. This should be high lighted because the music and announcements needs to be perfect and on queue for the best experience. There's not enough we can say about Chong! He brings so much energy. You can really tell he enjoys what he does and it shows. So many of our family and friends complimented in how well our wedding flowed and how it was one of the best weddings they've attended. We saw DJ Chong perform at a friend’s wedding and knew he had to be the DJ for our special day. He was personable, professional and covered every detail during our wedding planning session. Without an official wedding planner to help me coordinate my wedding day, it was reassuring to know that DJ Chong was on top of everything. He checked in with us throughout the evening to let us know where we were on the agenda and what formalities were next. He communicated with all of our other vendors and made sure everything ran smoothly all night. When we finally made it to the open dance, DJ Chong rocked the party with a great mix of songs including our favorites. We highly recommend him for any event! Thank you for making our wedding day so special, Chong! -
