My experience at Evelyn’s Bridal was perfect. I was assisted by Trey (probably not the correct spelling - sorry!) in finding my dream dress and veil. Every associate was so polite, knowledgeable, and helpful. I can’t recommend Evelyn’s Bridal enough!

Large Selection!

Evelyn’s Bridal has such a large selection of beautiful dresses! I gave them an idea of the dress I was looking for and they brought me several dresses to try on. They did such a great job that “THE DRESS” was the very first one I tried on! I could not have been happier with the service provided to me, and I absolutely adore my dress!!

Wonderful experience!

The ladies at Evelyn’s were so helpful. I had a specific idea in mind and even though they didn’t have the exact dress to fit it, they were able to give me exactly what I wanted. I ended up taking the lace jacket from one dress and adding it over another. It turned out to be exactly what I wanted for a great price! I would highly recommend Evelyn’s!

I have been to a few bridal stores one that was very expensive and one that was very cheap. I was getting discouraged. But she was so nice and able to ask questions about what I liked and didn’t like to find my perfect dress. Very reasonably price and they did a great job with my alterations.

I had the most incredible experience shopping for my wedding dress at Evelyn's. They are attentive, sweet, thoughtful and so helpful! I am so appreciative of their amazing service and care. Jo got my style so well and knew exactly what I was looking for. I cannot say enough about what a wonderful place this is to buy a wedding dress.

The ladies at Evelyn's are wonderful! Not only did they help me find my dream dress in one day, they worked with my crazy school schedule to schedule all of my fittings and alterations. My dress was flawless for my big day!

Evelyn's Bridal was the best place to find a wedding dress! They had a huge selection of dresses that were affordable and within all budgets and friendly, helpful associates to help you find the perfect dress! I tried on dresses at David's Bridal too and the atmosphere is completely different. At David's, I was rushed to try on dresses, I couldn't pick any out of the store by myself, the dressing room was barely large enough for two people, and the associates were not very helpful. At Evelyn's, there are only two dressing rooms so you really get individualized attention and you're free to browse and pick out any dresses you want to try on! Evelyn's made the entire dress buying process simple from the initial stages to the alterations! We even ordered our groom/groomsmen attire from here and everything was great. I would definitely recommend Evelyn's to anyone!

If you don't live near this small town bridal shop, do not let a short drive discourage you from visiting Evelyn's. While it doesn't look like anything spectacular from the outside, the only thing that really matters, and is your whole purpose of reading this review in the first place, is to find a beautiful, unique wedding dress; Evelyn's Bridal is ABSOLUTELY worth the trip for anyone living in/around the city of Columbia. After initially trying on dresses at the Columbia David's Bridal location, I was so ready to go anywhere else. (David's Bridal associates work on commission, and while I'm all for an incentive for your retail employees, I'd rather they not make it so known to the point that they are just dismissive/ rude OR even worse, totally lie to you about clearance dresses that they "don't have in store", when yes, they do. Because I found it myself on a clearance rack).

Evelyn's small staff of about three ladies, is amazing beyond words! They are all so patient and informative. They make everyone that has come to them few totally comfortable and are there to give advice/ help with trying dresses on/ zipping you up, etc. I could go on and on. I even wanted off the shoulder sleeves added to my dress and they were able to do this no problem, and for a very reasonable price as part of my alterations. My dress came in BEFORE the estimated arrival date and i was notified immediately. The day I went to pick my dress up before my bridal portraits, they had forgotten to put my veil in the dress bag, called me as soon as they realized and when they knew I would've be able to make it back out to them, one of their 3 employees offered to meet me near my house after I had gotten off of work to deliver it to me. This is the kind of customer service that I promise you, is very rare and has definitely not gone unappreciated. I HIGHLY recommend Evelyn's to anyone looking for their perfect gown at a very reasonable price :)

These ladies are great to work with! Their dress selections are great and there is really something there for everyone at extremely competitive prices. I looked at several shops in the area and found the same dress for a solid $1000 cheaper at Evelyn's. The alterations are also extremely reasonably priced as well. I haven't done it yet, but I know they will clean/box/store your dress for a pretty inexpensive price too. i don't think there is another place in the midlands as friendly and helpful!

Jody and her staff were wonderful to work with! The friendly, casual, and welcoming atmosphere is just what I needed to feel relaxed while searching for my wedding gown. They also helped us take a look at bridesmaids dresses along with a dress for my mother. I will absolutely recommend to brides looking for a dress for their big day!

After trying on what felt like a million dresses at David's Bridal and JoLins, I found the perfect dress at Evelyn's. It was the very first one I tried on and I fell in love with it immediately. They are very reasonably priced and Jody (owner) worked with me the entire time. I showed her a few pictures of what I was looking for and she picked out the perfect one. I recommend them all the time!

I found my dress within about 30 minutes of shopping. I had an idea of what I wanted and they delivered! Wonderful service! I also came in under budget which was amazing!

The staff at Evelyn's Bridal is extremely helpful! After just getting engaged I went first time dress shopping at Evelyn's, thinking that I was just getting a better idea of what style dress I would want. There is a great selection at Evelyn's Bridal with all different styles, materials, and prices. I was given a consultant that took care of me the entire time! She asked questions to try to determine what style dress I liked best but stayed within my budget. My mother and I were in there a total of maybe 45 minutes. I had tried on about 10 different dresses and ended up leaving with my dream dress at only $99! I would definitely recommend Evelyn's Bridal to anyone wanting to get their dress from a store that personalizes the experience and really cares about their customers!

My 2 sisters and I were each able to find our perfect dress and bridesmaids dresses at Evelyn's Bridal. With each individual experience, we were pleased with the service and fair prices. It is quite impressive that three very different styles were found at one bridal shop. My bridesmaids appreciated the flexibility of being able to walk in after work and get sized/have their dress altered. I will always recommend Evelyn's Bridal for a fun, stress-free experience.

Loved my shopping experience at Evelyn's!!!!!! The ladies there are super sweet. They listened to what I wanted until we found the perfect dress. I came in way under budget for my dress and it looked like a million dollars.

I went to several other states and many bridal shops before coming to Evelyn's, I could not be more pleased with my experience. I did not feel like I was pushed or pressured into a dress, as I did at most other shops. All the ladies were kind and simply wanted me to be happy with my dress. They actually did not have my dress, some one had bought it off the rack, but they could order it and I got it for a much more reasonable price. Don't let the exterior make you "scared," not sure why it bothers some people. These people are extremely flexible, I had to reschedule my fitting and it was no problem! Their cost for alterations is also reasonable!

I loved my experience at Evelyn's. They had a wonderful selection of beautiful dresses that were so reasonably priced. I also received 20% off because I paid in full. More than all that, the customer service was exceptional. They took the time to get to know and remembered my name every time I came in for different things like getting my veil and alterations. I love my dress and so happy I bought it here!

Evelyn’s is amazing. I actually picked out my dress at another bridal salon, but I purchased it at Evelyn’s due to the amazing prices. I was also very impressed with their customer service; everyone was very pleasant to work with. I had my alterations done at Evelyn’s, and the dress turned out great. I ended up getting the dress and alterations for less than just the dress would have cost elsewhere.

Evelyn's Bridal is an amazing bridal store for people living in the Columbia, SC, area! The selection is wonderful and the staff does a great job of assisting with finding "the dress". They are also able to do all alterations on site and even took the time to do some last minute alterations with me in the store when something was a little off during my last fitting. The staff at Evelyn's is amazing - they are all kind and want the best for every bride. I would recommend Evelyn's Bridal to anyone looking for a wedding dress in the Columbia area!

When one of my best friends got married, her bridesmaids dresses and her wedding dress was purchased here. After having such an amazing experience the first time around, I knew that they was the only place I could go. As a Charleston Bride, I had several options in finding the right dress but Jodi and her staff were worth the trip every time! The dress was exactly what my mother and I always wanted. We custom order several of the bridesmaid dresses (they were not typically carried in the store). They were also to quick to act when one of the dresses was ordered wrong (the designer changed dress model numbers and the dress ended up being long instead of short). They are so price worthy and their service is the best! By far my best vendor!

LOVE Evelyn's! First store and first dress I tried on! Jodie was great! She sat down with me and matched bridesmaids dress colors with my dress. She even talked about flowers that would go well with the colors. Would definitely recommend Evelyn's to anyone shopping for wedding dresses!!

Knowing that our wedding would require a different look, I struggled to find a dress in a typical dress shop. I found the website of the cotton bride dress line, but was amazed at the prices. Wanda worked her magic. With simply a printed image she created the dress I wanted (with the addition of straps) for less than a third of the cost. I comfortably wore the perfect cotton eyelet dress for 10 hours.

The perfect dress. Jody & Libby are great and make you feel at home. No pressure just help you select the perfect dress just for you. I when to several different shop and was glad when I came to Evelyn's Bridal. I went and take my bridal portraits and was allowed to bring my dress back to have cleaned before my wedding. You are treated like family.

Evelyn's Bridal is worth the drive from Columbia! This was the third bridal shop for me to visit so I my enthusiasm and optimisim was already a little deflated, but Jody didn't let that get in the way. She asked me what I was looking for, details about my wedding, and the venue. She pulled two dresses right away for me to put on so I could see what I thought would look good, but then she pulled out her secret weapon, which is what every excellent dress shop owner has, and that is "the perfect dress". I put the dress on and without even stepping all of the way in front of the mirror the tears started. Jody had the put me in the perfect dress, and she was even able to keep me within my budget!!!
This is a Class A bridal shop that is filled with love and genuine care and concern for each and every person who walks in their shop. Jody and her mom truly know their dresses and how to make each bride feel like a "bride".

I went to two or three other bridal places to try on wedding dress and i'm not sure why I didn't just go there first. Jodi was such a big help throughout the 'trying on' process. I had an idea of what i wanted but wasn't exactly sure. Once I todl Jodi what my style was and the ideas i had she started pulling dresses left and right as if she could read my mind! I tried on several dresses before i found 'the one' and once i found it, it was such a relief. It's true that you really just 'know'. The alterations done there were perfect and i would highly recommend brides go there! If i had known about them earlier, i'd have never went anywhere else first!!!

Wonderful Wonderful Wonderful Wonderful. That's all I have to say about the ladies at Evelyn's. There's no pressure, you can try on as many gowns as you like. Discount to pay in full, and if they don't have the bridesmaid gown you want (so long as it isn't DB), they will order it for you. And your bridesmaids get a discount too! They are simply fantastic. I'm sending everyone I know to them.

Jodi at Evelyn's is such a nice girl. She is so helpful and makes you feel relaxed throughout the entire process. The atmosphere is very relaxing, unlike another boutique in Columbia that is the complete opposite. I ended up buying the very first dress I tried on! It was a very reasonably priced gown also. I would recommend Jodi and her team to anyone!

My experience with Jody and her staff was absolutely wonderful! They were a pleasure to work with and provided me with sincere feedback when I was trying to select a dress. They were great to work with on the bridesmaids dresses too. SO much better than those SNOOTY stores that you find normally. They didn't make us feel inadequate for not spending enough on a dress when it was unnecessary. HIGHLY recommend the drive from anywhere to Lugoff for Evelyn's.

We ordered the bridesmaid dresses for my May 2015 wedding from Evelyn's Bridal. I only had my maid of honor try on the dress as the other bridesmaids were from out of town. After trying on many dresses at multiple bridal stores, we found "the dress" at Evelyn's Bridal. We had to rush the dresses, as it was Chinese New Year and we had waited too long to order, but they came in a month and a half before the wedding as promised. We ordered four bridesmaid dresses without trying them on. All we had to do was provide the measurements that were requested by Evelyn's professional staff. They all fit, with just a few normal alterations such as strap length and dress length. Evelyn's Bridal was very easy to work with.

The ladies at Evelyn's were wonderful! Kindness and patience were very much appreciated for this indecisive bride! They helped me order the dress I loved even though it wasn't one they normally carried. We rush ordered it and they promised to have the alterations done in time for my wedding. They definitely delivered! With the dress only coming in about two weeks before my wedding, we had three fittings and all the alterations (including some last minute ideas/changes on my part) done a week before the wedding. They were amazing and Jody went above and beyond to help me! Go to Evelyns! :)

Down to earth and a pleasure to work with! Evelyn's bridal has more bridal gowns than I have ever seen in one place before! They carry designers such as Allure, Maggie Sottero, Jasmine bridal, Bari Jay and so many more! Amazing selection and amazing to work with!

I love Evelyn's Bridal! I was a little nervous about shopping for my dress but they were so helpful and friendly without being pushy. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. I tried on many dresses but ended up going with the first one I put on. I don't think I even pulled it off the rack, I think that the lady helping me chose it for me after hearing what I wanted. It was an amazing dress and exactly what I wanted. I spent a little more money than I was thinking but the dress was absolutely worth it. Evelyn's was also helpful with holding the dress until I could come back and pay for it and putting on the bustle. I highly recommend them!

I bought my wedding dress & belt from Evelyn's back in August. When my dress came in I had an initial fitting and everything was going fine. When I picked up my wedding dress for my bridal portraits in March, the belt had been sewn on crooked & there were no hook and eyes for the dress to button down the back. My photographer had to photo-shop the buttons to lay flat. When I took the dress back that day, I made sure they knew that I wanted the belt fixed since it was not centered & I needed hooks placed down the back so the zipper was not exposed. I came back on the Tuesday before my wedding and they asked if I just wanted to take the dress. I said no because I knew I had lost weight. After looking at my dress, they still had not placed the hooks like they said they were going to & they had not altered the belt at all. I had to have my dress taken in several inches & was told I could pick the dress back up on the Friday before my wedding. When I got there the Friday to pick it up I was in a hurry as it was the day before my wedding and had just gotten a spray tan so I could not try on my dress. I figured after months of it being there that surely the hooks would have FINALLY been placed. Man, was I wrong. I unzipped the bag my dress was in on the morning of my wedding to find they had still NOT placed hooks, including the most important hook at the very top. And the belt was still not fixed. I had to get one of my bridesmaids to take the dress out to evelyn's on my wedding day to get them to finally do what they should have done months ago. And on top of that I had the owner calling me on the day of my wedding saying that their alterations lady ad sent my dress in another bride's bag and that I needed to make sure none of her accessories for her dress were in the bag. I did not have time to respond to the owner that day & by monday she had called my sisters demanding I look in the bag they sent my dress in because they could not find the girl's veil.
