DJ Brian was so AMAZING!!! He even helped us make a timeline for the entire wedding event . He was so communicative and made sure we were aware of what was going to happen next! He is a very nice guy and I would HIGHLY recommend him and Essen entertainment! We spoke with J.J first before he told us DJ Brian would be our DJ and he was extremely nice and helpful as well. DJ Brian was Awesome!
We hired Essen Entertainment to DJ our wedding and DJ Brian did a phenomenal job! We threw a lot of curve balls at Brian and asked for a lot and he was able to deliver. Our wedding ended up being a small production that showed our love story and Briand was able to help our vision come to life with music. We had our wedding party enter the same way WWE superstars do in the Royal Rumble, one at a time with a countdown and buzzer followed by the person's "entrance song." The guests loved it and it went exactly how we wanted it to. We also included a light saber battle with the wedding party and Brian was able to provide us with a Star Wars soundtrack to accompany the battle.
We even did a second entrance and asked Brian to hype up the crowd to bring us back to the reception area the same way a WWE superstar would enter the ring. It was amazing! I cannot say enough good things about Brian!
We also added the photo booth option with our booking and I am so glad we did! The guests are still talking about it and my husband and I have had fun looking back at all the pictures!
Brian took such great care of us and made sure that the music fit what we wanted to do. Our wedding was exactly what we wanted thanks to Brian!

We hired Essen Entertainment for our outdoor wedding, From start to finish a 10/10 fantastic experience. Essen entertainment was super user friendly. They contact you immediately after an inquiry, the price is great, the service is even better. Our DJ was DJ Charles, he was so kind, great at keeping in contact with us, very flexible on any changes or requests we had and most of all he was an outstanding DJ. We will be using DJ Charles for all of our events from now on. Highly recommend this company.

Working with Essen Entertainment was by far one of the best decisions of our wedding day! From my initial conversation with JJ Essen, I knew we were in good hands. Our big day was held at some family property near Round Top, TX and we were assured that the travel and set up portion would be doable (I was VERY anxious about it). He connected me to DJ Koert Knights for our big day on October 7th. Koert was SO amiable, patient, kind and helpful throughout the entire planning process. JJ was honestly incredible - I told him the night of that he was a 10 out of 5 and it couldn't be more true!! We personally had the most anxiety about selecting a DJ for our wedding as I've seen the music at weddings make or break the experience for everyone so we spent a lot of time trying to ensure we had the perfect DJ. JJ was absolutely that in all aspects! He personally took the time to work with us to make sure that the music selection was exactly what we were looking for, while sharing his experiences to help us craft the perfect wedding playlist. Whether you have a pretty set list of songs in mind or are looking for a DJ to take creative liberty, we cannot endorse JJ more. His ability to read the room/crowd was perfect as well, keeping the momentum going strong throughout the night - the dancefloor was packed the whole evening! We had multiple friends and family come up to us after the wedding saying that was the best music they've ever heard at a wedding and that's truly a testament to JJ's ability to read the room and his years of experience! DJ Arnold was amazing!! We received so many compliments about our music and dance floor. The DJ was one of the hardest choices during our planning process, because we wanted to make sure the music we loved was played (and no cheesy wedding music, top 40, etc). Arnold and JJ had us create our own playlists for each portion of the evening, and incorporated every song we wanted to hear (and never played anything we said no to!). His singing talent was an extra special bonus that our family absolutely loved. Arnold worked hard to make sure our ceremony and reception flowed smoothly, and he absolutely nailed it!!

JJ had the fantastic idea of getting everyone on the dancefloor with a group picture - it helped ease the transition from dinner to dancing. Our Daughter’s Wedding
Essen Entertainment along with DJ Charles provided the entertainment at our daughter’s wedding reception on September 17, 2022. What an awesome job DJ Charles did! He was on time & set up by the time the reception started. From the moment the guests entered to the close of the evening DJ Charles kept the evening flowing. He was very professional and fun! From the youngsters to the “still young at heart”, everyone had a great time. They complimented the entertainment many times throughout the night.
I highly recommend Essen Entertainment for your next event. Ask for DJ Charles. You won’t be disappointed!

Essen Etntertainment Makes Your Wedding A Celebration!
We had the fortunate opportunity to work with Essen Entertainment and DJ Adrian Molina for the sound, music, and lighting experience at our wedding. Essen Entertainment is a one-stop shop for everything you would need for an enjoyable ceremony and a great party atmosphere for your reception. We chose a set-up from their ala carte menu of services that worked for us and our budget, and were pleased with how everything worked out.
We were especially delighted to work with DJ Adrian Molina. He started working with us a week or so before the wedding to help us finalize our music and sound for our special day; from the time guests arrived, through the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner, all the way to the last moments at the reception. He was willing to work with us for our special sound requests and even came early to the venue the day of the wedding to set up and do sound checks to make sure everything went smoothly later in the day.
Most importantly, DJ Molina listened to our requests for specific music selections and understood our guest demographics to keep everyone on the dance floor and having a great time! We couldn’t believe how crowded the dance floor stayed throughout the reception and that was because DJ Adrian intuitively knew what this crowd wanted to hear. Instrumental in making our wedding a success!
DJ Fily was awesome! He understood the vibe we wanted and kept the crowd dancing. He was great at emcee-ing our event and making sure the time moved along- we loved having him for our special day. Essen Entertainment was very communicative and professional throughout the whole process, responded quickly to any concerns we had, and was overall great to work with.

Absolutely perfect!!
Essen Entertainment is by far, the best DJ service I have ever experienced. The owner, Mr. J.J Essen is unbelievable! Whenever I first inquired about my interest in Essen Entertainment, he scheduled a personalized phone call interview with me so we could introduce ourselves and so he could learn as much details as possible about myself, my soon to be husband, and what we wanted with our wedding. We talked for over an hour or more and J.J was so easy to talk to, highly professional, and very in tune with what my wants and desires were for our wedding. He then offered to personally perform at our wedding, even though he has several employees under him who also perform at weddings. My fiancée and I were so honored and surprised by this, it was a no brainer that we knew he was the one for our wedding!
Later, a couple of days before the wedding we had a second phone interview to do a last confirmation of how the wedding timeline was going to go, went over the playlist again, and fine tuned the details so we were fully prepared. I was very impressed by this and felt so much at ease that everything was super organized for the big day!
The day of the wedding went perfectly!!! JJ helped organize and direct our large crowd of guests of over 130 people which allowed all of the wedding events to stay on task and on time. It was amazing!! Also, he was one of the only DJs I experienced that didn’t have the music too loud during dinner! He kept the volume perfectly to where you could hear the music fine, but you didn’t have to yell at each other to talk. It was wonderful! Not to mention JJ arrived promptly on time, had a terrific and impressive set up, and the music sounded amazing!!
I seriously don’t have the words to express my thanks to JJ and Essen Entertainment. I promise you won’t go wrong with him! He will help bring your special day to life as the perfect wedding!!!

Knowledgeable and Helpful DJ
JJ Essen did a great job making everything flow well at the wedding. He kept the crowd hyped, helped release the dinner tables by number, and he made sure the schedule went smoothly. I appreciated his help and knowledge on wedding schedules to collaborate with me and make the day so perfect. He had worked at my venue before and was so reasonable with pricing. He was quick to respond to emails as well as professional. I would highly recommend using Essen Entertainment for weddings or other events.

Great DJ!! Communicates well & is knowledgeable!!
JJ was great! He communicated well and helped the night go smoothly. He read the crowd very well and knew what music to play. We gave him a list of various kinds of music, and he transitioned everything so well that it didn’t feel awkward when moving to a different type of song. I liked the fact that he offered payment plans! He made planning convenient and less stressful so that when the day came, I didn’t have to do anything.

From booking all the way through to the wedding day, JJ was really great to work with! His professionalism, personality, and ability to determine our wedding style gave us a lot of confidence when hiring him. When our assigned DJs had to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, JJ was quick to take care of us, ended up DJ-ing at our wedding himself, and had a really great vibe that we all loved! The photobooth and Javier were fantastic as well! Everyone had fun taking pictures and the memory book we got from it will be a keepsake dear to us for the rest of our lives!

Super fun wedding night!
JJ and his team, including our wedding night DJ, DJ Adrian we’re all so amazing to work with! There was one night I had emailed Adrian with about 10 questions, I’ll never forget he instantly called me and we hashed out all my questions for answers in 10 minutes! They are truly the experts you need for your event. They bring all their own equipment and you can even do a Go-Bo light with your initials or some type of design for your wedding or event!

Best Decision, Best DJ
I can’t tell you how happy my husband and I are that we went with JJ! We got married at Station 3 in Houston and it’s a two-story, rather eclectic venue that we wanted to make sure the DJ that took care of our wedding understood the layout and change in sound between the floors. We heard about JJ and Essen Entertainment from Station 3, and the reviews on The Knot confirmed our selection. Not only did JJ know exactly how to handle the venue, but he absolutely exceeded all expectations. He was beyond kind, prompt in responses, open to our suggestions to music, reassuring, and anything else you’d want in a DJ!!! He made everything go smooth even when there were hiccups with rain and some changes to the timeline. The music was sublime, and he just made a couple, excited to get married but with no idea what we were doing, feel very calm and taken care of. We also got a TON of compliments on the music, which can be unheard of at weddings! Please don’t hesitate to go with JJ. You will not regret it!!

I could not recommend JJ more highly! JJ has so much experience and it shows when you speak with him. During our initial conversation he gave me great advice regarding the flow of my reception before I even booked him for my wedding. Leading up to the wedding he was quickly responsive to all my questions and created an amazing remix for our father/daughter dance. Having JJ as our DJ created a fun atmosphere for our reception that lasted the entire night. JJ kept the party going and the dance floor was never empty!

We had a wonderful time hiring Essen Entertainment for our music needs! We worked both with JJ and DJ Carlos (Charles) leading up to our wedding day and both were responsive and receptive to our requests. We really wanted Latin music at our wedding and DJ Carlos brought that party to our dance floor! He was also a great MC during dinner and introductions.
DJ Carlos did a great job of setting up calls prior to our wedding to be sure he understood our vision for the night, and we could tell that he was taking notes, so we weren’t repeating the same conversation each time.
As two brides, we were conscious of hiring LGBT-friendly vendors and we can vouch that Essen Entertainment was just that! We were always treated with kindness and excitement about our upcoming wedding.
We highly recommend hiring Essen Entertainment and working with DJ Carlos for your DJ needs!

Oh my goodness! Where do I even start?! Adrian aka DJ Smiley was AWESOME! I have been to quite a few weddings, but ours was absolutely amazing. He is extremely easy to work with, he is organized and he is always smiling! Adrian listened to everything we asked of him. He played all the best songs and when I, the bride, didn't know one of the dances, he got down on the dance floor and taught us all! I can't say enough about how thankful I am for his services. From the start it was so easy to work with Essen Entertainment. I spoke with JJ and he was so fast in helping us find the right DJ for our wedding. JJ recommend DJ Charles, because we needed a bilingual DJ. My wife and I are originally from Colombia so we love to dance! DJ Charles played the best songs all night and he also took so many amazing videos of everyone dancing. I loved working with DJ Charles and apart from being a great DJ, he was also such a nice guy! They were very professional from start to finish! Highly recommended!

We had DJ Charles at our wedding. He was incredibly easy to work with, so flexible and soo kind. He kept the party going the entire night. Arrived on time and did everything that was promised. He was by far the easiest vendor to work with the entire day. He even took a bunch of sweet videos of our day and sent them to us the next day! He kept our whole day on track and took every little change in stride. I highly recommend him!!

Wow. JJ is amazing!! Firstly, we got so many compliments from our guests about our DJ. JJ/Essen Entertainment is/are so professional, easy to work with, flexible, and most of all LOADS OF FUN AND ENERGY! Not only is the music selection on par, the announcing at the wedding is better than an NFL football game. JJ was amazing for us with playing exactly what music we picked/genres we wanted while also using his expertise to feel out the crowd and play what was best to keep the vibe and/or party going. I would 100% recommend JJ and his team to be your DJ!!

First, The owner reaches out to you personally and goes over all the ins and outs of details prior to booking them for your event and he was great. He even helps you come up with a timeline and order of events if you’re clueless (like I was) lol. Next, our DJ for the wedding was Adrian and he was AMAZING. He made everything perfect from the start of the wedding to the end. He was great to communicate with and did everything exactly the way I envisioned it. I would 100% recommended to anyone for any event but especially for a wedding if you don’t want to stress about anything going wrong. Thank y’all so much for everything. The day turned out perfect!

Essen Entertainment DJ'ed our wedding in December 2021 and we cannot recommend JJ and his team highly enough! From our initial consultation call, to our final details planning, to the day itself, JJ was an absolute pleasure to work with. Our guests raved about the music, and we were so pleased with the energy that JJ brought to our event. JJ was also exceptionally professional and responsive. On the day of the event, my cousin suggested a surprise (to me) addition to the night, and JJ made sure to run it by me before moving forward with the change in our timeline and itinerary. A Bilingual Blast

The Most Excellent DJ
I have no hesitation in recommending JJ Essen. His pre-event planning was superb; in fact, he went over and above what I could have expected. We were not the most organised of families as none of us live in Austin where my daughter's wedding was held and we only came together from Kazakhstan, the United Kingdom, Florida, Waco and Indonesia just days before the event. This didn't faze him in the slightest; he rolled with the flow making changes on the spot and organising us where he saw the need. The compliments we received about how well he managed the music from pre-service in the afternoon to dancing in the evening were numerous and I have already recommended his services to another family planning a wedding in the same venue.

First, and an important factor, was the fact that JJ, the owner, called us, instead of sending an email, to talk about what we wanted, to help us think about a timeline and also to find the perfect DJ for our night. We have a very diverse group of friends and Charles did an excellent job making everyone happy and out on the dance floor all night! The energy from him and the music will always be unforgettable and our friends and family are still talking about how much fun they had that night. Thank you DJ Charles for an amazing party!

You were soo incredible!! It was truly a night to remember and its cliché I Know, but it was the best day of my life. Thanks so much for keeping the party going, it was lively, fun ..everything I needed it to be haha. It was a crazy start to the ceremony with the rain etc and I was bummed my MOH and family wasn't there and you lit up my night and I can't thank you enough for that. It turned my spirits around a complete 180 and I had the best night of my life!! Thanks for dealing with some of those rowdy kids. Everyone couldn't stop talking about what an amazing time they had. The Best Wedding DJ EVER
JJ was absolutely wonderful. Our venue initially recommended him and let me tell you he didn’t disappoint. From the personal entrance we requested, to him singing/playing live at our cocktail hour, to keeping people dancing for hours on, JJ over-exceeded our expectations. We were also able to hire our photo booth through him and his company. Everything was perfect. JJ scheduled 2-3 phone calls with us and came with loads of advice and experience, especially for our venue, Iron Manor. HIRE JJ. It will be the best decision you make for your wedding.

JJ introduced us to our DJ very early on in our planning process. This allowed us to get started right away in discussing the music and suggestions. DJ Ivan was not only a breeze to work with but he was great at entertaining our guests. Almost perfect DJ
First off, our DJ was a great MC for the night and did a good job working with our coordinator to keep the flow of the night going. However, I was a little disappointed to find that the person I had my initial phone meeting with is not our DJ, we are just assigned one from their list. He was great, however it's not my preference for a DJ to stop songs before they are over. That's my pet peeve, even at bars and I didn't think to make sure he wouldn't do that. The worst offense for this is killing the Wobble while everyone was out dancing. Other than that we are very happy. We also had a photo-booth through their services and the guy who worked ours was so amazing and patient.

From start to finish, it has been the most pleasant experience working with Essen Entertainment. JJ was extremely helpful and accommodating from our first interaction and made sure that we had what we wanted for our wedding day. We were lucky enough to have DJ Charles as the DJ for our wedding and he made sure he knew exactly what we were looking for and he sure delivered! JJ is AWESOME! He's super punctual, easy to work with and most importantly-- he knows how to read the room. As a musician myself, he was super accommodating to my music selections and formulated them into a perfect mix of all the genres I was looking for (and that isn't easy given what I sent him!). He brought great positive energy with the mic and also added a nice touch to the celebration-- letting my wife and I dance a last song in the venue privately before we dipped out for the evening. This guy is a class act!

Absolutely the BEST
Sian was our DJ for our Houston wedding. She was absolutely AMAZING. We had lot of children at our wedding and she had special dances for them. If we had a line dance song she was right on the dance floor showing everyone the moves. Every single one of my guests got on the dance floor and she was so unbelievably amazing I cannot express how wonderful our wedding was because of her. You cannot go wrong with her at any event.

We had great experiences with hiring Essen Entertainment twice. First we had our small covid reception and then our large postponed reception. It was no question that we were planning to hire them for our postponed reception after our experience with our smaller reception. Both events were incredible thanks to the team at Essen Entertainment! JJ is friendly and so easy to work with, making the experience much more enjoyable. JJ was so helpful and professional from our very first phone call- I knew he would be our pick! He helped put together a timeline for the big day and helped us to stay on track during the wedding day. He was professional and courteous to everyone and we had so many compliments about him! He was on time, everyone loved his choice of the “shoe game” we played and he kept the party going. Our venue was large and spread out but he made sure to play songs to keep everyone coming back to the dance floor.
Our package also included the photo booth, which our guests LOVED!
Thank-you for easing stress on our big day, JJ! We cannot recommend him enough!

We booked JJ for our New Years Eve wedding with a very specific idea for music in mind. We wanted something that brought us back to the 50s and 60s with classic jazz big band sound but also did not want to put people to sleep. After consulting with JJ we knew we were making the right choice. He listened to us about what we were wanting and generated a wonderful song list and offered tons of helpful advice. He also kept the pace of the wedding going properly, calling attention and moving people to the dance floor as if it were on que. He is very reliable and very good at what he does. If you need a Dj for your wedding look no further than this man he is incredible and you will not be disappointed!
