  Great Photos, Great Vibes

  Erika took stunning pictures that captured the joy of the day and the beauty of the venue. She's easy going, but professional and knows exactly how/where to place you to get amazing pics. She brought great, happy energy to my day and folded herself in so seamlessly with the event. I can't recommend her enough--worth every penny! BTW her husband owns a fishing charter--and I sent my husband and his crew out on the boat day before the wedding!

  Memorable. Special. Outstanding. Professional.

  Erika was outstanding and we are extremely glad we hired her for our wedding. She was beyond professional with the whole experience, all the way from the engagement photos to the wedding day. She was on point with communication as she continuously touched base with us either virtually or by phone. Her planning and structure were perfect. She paid close attention to what we really wanted and made it better than we expected. Her creativity was amazing, she went out of her way to really get to know us and made every angle and photo count. She had another photographer with her and helped keep us on time during the day of the wedding. She has a ton of experience, affordable pricing, and an excellent attitude. She gave us a memory book and many gifts throughout the experience. She really made our day special and we will always look back and remember that we made the perfect choice for our photographer when we go through our photos in the future.   Incredible Photographer

  Working with Erika for our wedding was the best decision we made! In the midst of the pandemic, our original wedding photographer canceled on us which ended up being a blessing in disguise because my husband and I were able to find and work with Erika! She is incredibly thoughtful and works to get to know you and your partner so you don't feel uncomfortable in front of the camera - it's like working with a friend. She's timely, well organized, and does a fantastic job at directing large groups. She's passionate about photography and capturing the joy and love people. Thanks to her beautiful and natural photos - we look back on our wedding and get to experience the joy all over again. We highly recommend Erika Mills Photography!

  Picture Perfect Memories!

  We were referred to Erika by our friend’s wedding photographers, who spoke so highly of her and her work. Even with such a confident recommendation, we were still blown away with her dedication, professionalism, and attentiveness to us throughout the whole experience. Starting with engagements, Erika made it all so easy, it truly felt like we were just spending time with a friend that happened to capture our beautiful photos. She prepared us prior to wedding day with a timeline and was available any time we needed to chat with her. Honestly, she was the least stressful part of our entire wedding planning experience, and even saved me from other stressors. On our wedding day, she captured such gorgeous photos of us and handled a 19-person wedding party in the middle of Virginia August heat like a champ! Looking back at our photos, she captured moments we wouldn’t even have thought to ask for, and we are so thankful!   Perfection!

  Over the years, I had seen Erika's photography on social media and loved her style. Anyone can take standard photos of two people standing next to each other. The difference with Erika is she brings something out of the people she photographs and her photos show that. They are magical.
  
  When I first spoke with her on the phone, she was incredibly excited, bubbly, and talked at length about her process and expectations. I really appreciated this honest and open dialogue because we were on the same page from the beginning.
  
  She then thoughtfully agreed to come to Washington DC for our engagement pictures. I had selected two locations and she casually viewed the areas finding her only inspiration for best shots. She was kind enough to make sure that if there were any shots I really wanted, she would take them. My husband was "fine" with taking pictures but wasn't necessarily "thrilled" like I was. The second the session was over, he immediately asked me where I found Erika, if all photographers were so nice and fun, if she was doing our wedding pictures, and if she was also our wedding planner. He loved her!
  
  Her turn around time to get us our gallery of engagement pictures was remarkable! She sent us sneak peaks a few days after and the gallery a short time after that.
  
  Throughout the wedding process, Erika was responsive to emails, offered help and support in not only photography needs but in regards to the entire wedding concept, and was a huge support. I always felt reassured after speaking to her.
  
  On my wedding day, the moment she walked in to our condo, I REALLY felt like I was getting married. She was calm, relaxed, and got to work! Erika worked so well with our videographer and others vendors to help make everything seamless. She again made sure she got all the pictures I had requested throughout the wedding and then, during the reception she came up to me with a ipad and said he had a gift for us. To our surprise, she had put a small montage of photos together that were... stunning. We were shocked! This is the type of photographer Erika is. She loves what she does and her work brings an indescribable happiness to those on the receiving end.
  
  Per usual, Erika sent us loving texts the day after our wedding and sneak peaks shortly followed and then our gallery after that. The photographs were incredible, perfect, and capture every aspect of our wedding. There were a few special impromptu moments that she was even able to capture! We know that Erika will continue to be a part of our lives both as a photographer but more importantly, a friend. Thank you for capturing all the love and happiness!

  We couldn't have imagined our wedding day without her!

  The decision of who to hire as our wedding day photographer was HUGE for me. I contacted so many people but was really looking for someone I knew I'd click with. These photos are keepsakes to have forever and it's so important that your wedding photographer is someone you are comfortable with and can really trust. From our first phone conversation I knew Erika had to be there on our big day. She was amazing and went above and beyond on every single thing. During our engagement session my husband and I both felt super comfortable with her, she made it fun, and the images were stunning. Erika was a total resource to me throughout engagement, she recommended vendors, helped out with the timeline and answered my many many questions. On our wedding day she was instrumental at keeping me calm, keeping everything moving and capturing the most beautiful pictures. Our wedding photos are stunning and it is impossible for me to pick a favorite. She also got our entire album back to us incredibly fast! If you want a wedding photographer who's a genuine kind person, crazy talented, and immediately feels like a friend... Erika is your girl. I can't thank her enough!

  Wedding photography

  Erika was amazing at our wedding! I’m usually so awkward in front of the camera but she made us feel so at ease and helped coached us on poses, which we loved! Do yourself a favor and check this off your list and hire her! We will recommend her to everyone!

  We have great things to say about our entire team of vendors, but ESPECIALLY Erika. I'll start at the beginning:
  I was provided a long list of photographers from a coworker (who used to shoot weddings), and I researched them all. I narrowed my list down to a few, but after having a phone conversation with Erika, I knew I had to have her shoot our wedding and engagement photos. We clicked so well from the start, she is extremely personable, so fun, flexible, lively, and open to embracing your own ideas and vision. During our engagement session, we discovered that Erika is just so natural at shooting and working with people!! She made us feel comfortable and at ease in front of the lens...even my husband felt comfortable and actually had FUN!!! She delivered our photos to us so promptly and we were over the moon with how ALL of them turned out! The electronic gallery program she used was extremely user friendly and made it very easy to share with family and friends, who were also OBSESSED with these pictures!
  
  After engagements came wedding planning and the wedding! Erika played a KEY role in helping me with a lot of the design/styling decisions, our timeline, executing the little details that were SO important to me (that my other vendors actually forgot about), and she rolled with the changes that inevitably happened on our wedding day so gracefully. She promptly showed us sneak peaks that literally made us squeal, and she had our full gallery delivered to us faster than I could have ever imagined. The quality of her photographs is insane and she captured our day so perfectly.
  
  To sum it up, we hit the JACKPOT with Erika. She has gifted us with such precious keepsakes from our day that we will cherish forever. BOOK HER. You will not regret it.

From the emails and phone calls during the planning process, I knew she was there to help make our day amazing. She offered advice on what to wear for engagement pictures, timeline for day of and an alternate idea for a first look. For our engagement pictures, we were both nervous in front of the camera but she coaches you and by the end we were having a blast! When it came to the wedding day, she was calm, cool and kept the show moving. She had our images done in less than a month which is crazy fast-and they are amazing! Thank you Erika for your patience in the heat of our day and for delivering such quality images that we will cherish for years to come!

During the actual photo shoot she made it very easy for us act natural. I would recommend Erika Mills to anyone without question.

  I knew her from years back and followed her photography page and fell in love with the way she photographed. From contacting her for a quote to the wedding day she was so on top of everything and so organized and planned everything out with her timeline that it gave us a peace of mind so we could relax and let her run the show. If we had any questions she would get back to us within a reasonable time, which made us feel important to her. She really cares about her couples! She knew exactly what we wanted and made us feel incredible and comfortable in front of the camera. Our engagement photo session was a billion degrees outside, and yet she took her time to get to know what we wanted out of the images and to make sure we got the images we wanted. They turned out amazing, so we knew our wedding images would too. Our images from the wedding were more than we could have ever asked for. They are stunning images. We literally look at them every day still and wish we could relive that day over and over again. Best day ever and we have the best images ever all because we picked Erika to be our photographer.

She knew exactly what we wanted and made us feel incredible and comfortable in front of the camera. Our engagement photo session was a billion degrees outside, and yet she took her time to get to know what we wanted out of the images and to make sure we got the images we wanted. They turned out amazing, so we knew our wedding images would too. Our images from the wedding were more than we could have ever asked for. They are stunning images. We literally look at them every day still and wish we could relive that day over and over again. Best day ever and we have the best images ever all because we picked Erika to be our photographer.

  Where do I start? Since the moment I spoke to Erika on the phone I know she was the perfect person to photograph our wedding. We are both have type A personalities so I know it was a match made in heaven. The day of our wedding the weather wasn't on our side and we had to make last minute changes to ensure we would get the best lighting. Everything went amazing. She had our blog up in 5 days and all of our pictures to us in just ONE week!!! Erika makes us feel like friends and not just a client. Love her!

  Over the moon!

  I can’t even begin to thank Erika for all of her work! She captured every single special moment for me to my first look with my dad, the memorial details of my grandparents on my bouquet to my little brothers reaction when he first saw me! And everything in between! When I first saw Erika’s work I knew I had to have her as my wedding photographer. And as expected, she blew me away with her talent! Not only does she do amazing work but she is quick to get you back your pictures as well! My home is now completed with our beautiful wedding pictures! Thank you so much Erika, I will forever be obsessed with our album!
