Maravetz Wedding
I am not sure where to even start, Erika you are beyond talented and amazing to work with! We had reached out to Erika the day after we got engaged hoping that she would be able to do our engagement session, as we had been in a recent wedding that she had shot and were blown away with their pictures. After our engagement shoot we basically knew Erika was a must have for our wedding day. We basically provided Erika with the dates our wedding venue was available as we wanted her that bad to capture our wedding day, and lucky enough she was. Working with Erika during the past year has been an overall amazing experience. Erika provided us with being more than just our photographer, she made us feel so comfortable, made us feel like we've known each other for ever and has one of the sweetest most caring personalities. Throughout working with Erika, we gained a friend and also someone I would recommend to anyone looking for a photographer. Again, I cannot thank Erika enough for being a part of our journey the past year and providing us with the photos we will look back at for a lifetime! -

I have taken forever to write this review, genuinely wanting to do it proper justice. However, I've come to realize that I don't think I'll ever be able to put into words just how grateful I am that we had Erika as our wedding photographer. In my best attempt...
Before the wedding: As a fellow type A personality, Erika answered my plethora of questions with patience and ease. I was likely very early to the questioning process (we're talking 6+ months in advance), but she was gracious and didn't hesitate to accept my meeting requests. She didn't push us into a first look, and instead walked us through multiple timeline options with the pros and cons of each. She also helped us decide on portrait locations. Overall, I felt very prepared leading up to the big day!
During the wedding: We didn't meet Erika in-person until the wedding day, yet just having her around that day gave me such a calm feeling. She was perfectly in the background, capturing small moments that we were so thankful to have photos of. She also happily jumped in when she saw a need (e.g. delivering boutonnieres to my husband and family). During the reception, she was very aware to offer to take a photo on her camera when the group iPhone photos evidently began. Her chosen second shooter was also great!
After the wedding: We were pleasantly stunned to receive so many GORGEOUS sneak peek photos while we were still on our honeymoon! She went above and beyond, even providing a couple of extra family portraits for our parents to use on their Christmas cards. When we received the full gallery, we had such a hard time choosing our favorites -- every photo is stunning! We seriously cannot thank Erika enough for everything!!! -

My husband and I could not be more happy with not only our engagement photos but our wedding photos. We were engaged for two years and booked Erika right away! The biggest fear we had was being forgotten as our wedding was so far away. Not once did Erika make us not feel like a priority. She reached out every couple months like a friend and offered to help with any wedding planning. I was just amazed with how involved she was. All of my photos for engagement and wedding were done within 1 week!!! And on top of that they are freaking AMMMMMAAAAZZZIIINNNGGG! Seriously, I have people asking all the time who did my photos and how much does she charge. Wedding day was crazy as things were happening so fast but Erika was right by my side for every bit of it. This girl even wiped my tears as I cried over a note my husband wrote me the day of our wedding. I had never met Erika before our engagement photos but as of today she’s more like a friend and will now forever be our photographer for the future❤️ -

Where do I even begin?! Erika was so great! She was very relatable and confident. I felt like she really listened to me and heard my requests.
Let me be totally honest, our engagement pictures I wasn't crazy about, but truly I think there was a lot of factors into it that didn't include Erika (like I hated the outfits I wore, it was sooooo cold that I'm shivering for most of the pictures, I wore the wrong shoes and was too short next to my hubs giving him a double chin--which, ladies, is important to avoid! Wear the heels!).
So, I was a little worried about the wedding photos. BUT Y'ALL, I got about 50 photos THE NIGHT OF MY WEDDING! Like, before she even left the venue she sent me a sneak peek and I could've cried at how beautiful they were. Also, I received all of my photos by the time I got back from my honeymoon. IS THAT EVEN REAL?!? I loved it! There isn't one single picture out of like 1,200 that I received that I don't absolutely love. There's no bad angles, no awkwardness, they are just flawless pictures. For real, it POURED the morning of my wedding, and it was still raining a bit during photos, but you can't even tell because of how bright and beautiful each picture turned out. Every single person who has seen my pictures has asked me about who did them because they are that stunning. Erika is 100% worth it. She was so helpful and smart and, honestly, pretty quick with taking the pictures too. (Ever been to a wedding where the bride and groom leave for pictures for two hours or more and you're like twiddling your thumbs waiting around? Not with Erika. We finished pictures ahead of schedule! She knew where she wanted them taken and got us there quickly. We did a first look so we were able to get a lot of portraits done before the actual ceremony, so the group photos after the wedding took about 30 minutes total. In and out, baby!) Truly, I'm obsessed with my pictures; she was absolutely amazing! Thank you, Erika! -

A Dream Come True!
All the magic of our wedding day was captured by Erika. Erika is very sweet, helpful, and talented! She makes your day, and the days leading up to it, worry free. We loved working with her and show our pictures to everyone! 10/10 would recommend! -

Let's just say, picking a wedding photographer for our wedding was one thing that I was EXTREMELY picky about and probably looked at over 60 different photographers.
I am in the photography space for my professional career which is why I was very picky for this vendor selection. I stumbled upon Erika when a colleague of mine hired her for her wedding and lets just say I was truly blown away from the photos. Being in the photography space, I have seen my fair share of wedding photos and I knew exactly what I wanted and Erika was it.
Once I inquired on Erika's website, I received an email regarding her packages and pricing. Her pricing is pretty on point compared to other photographers so there was no shock there. Once we decided Erika was the photographer we wanted, I immediately received a request from Erika to set up a phone call. This impressed me. Most vendors discuss details via email but with a wedding photographer it's really important to have that connection and relationship established due to the fact she will be capturing some of your most cherished memories for you.
We discussed on our phone call the type of wedding we were having and when we wanted to do our engagement shoot. We were having a traditional jewish ceremony which Erika never shot before. I was a *little* nervous about this but after I explained the different parts of the ceremony to her and what was important to photograph, I knew I had nothing to worry about! I also mentioned we wanted to schedule our engagement shoot around the Cherry Blossom Festival. A few months later, I received a warm email from Erika about our engagement shoot and when we should set it up. She made a note/remembered the time of year we wanted to take those photos which impressed me again!
We had our engagement shoot at the Wharf in DC and near the Cherry Blossoms. We had SUCH a great time! Her husband, Josh accompanied her to assist which was very helpful! I am not kidding that less then 12 hours later, our entire gallery was in our inbox. AH-MAZING! The photos were gorgeous and we received a ton of compliments on them! Even my fiance said "Wow, she's good. She made me look photogenic!"
A few months after our engagement shoot, I received another email from Erika regarding the timeline of our wedding. We scheduled another call and went through the details and time of our day. She made it very easy during crunch time before the big day!
Our big day was finally here and Erika and Josh showed up a little earlier than their allotted time and got right to work! We were getting a little behind schedule and I was getting a little anxious about it but Erika and Josh are the pros and immediately calmed me down and told me that this is normal. They were right and we ended up catching up to our timeline.
Erika and Josh snapped the night away. I woke up the day after my wedding and received a lovely text from Erika with 95 (!!!) sneak peeks from the night before. They were INSANELY GORGEOUS! A few days later, we received a email from Erika stating her blog post from our wedding was up. All I can say was WOW. Erika wrote a gorgeous blog post and shared some of the beautiful photos she captured from our big day. I can't even tell you have many text and comments we received on her post and photos. A little over a week later we received our entire gallery of images. I had a smile on my face the entire time we looked through them. I was worried we weren't going to get many photos from our reception due to our reception being longer than the time we hired them for but I was totally wrong. She had so many great dance floor photos, family photos and reception images. She captured everything that we wanted capture and we will be looking at these amazing memories for a lifetime.
She was amazing to work with and I can't rave and recommend her enough. Thank you again Erika for EVERYTHING. You and your talent are few and far between and I am SO HAPPY that we hired you for the most important day in our lives!

I am so thankful to have worked with Erika, I knew from her portfolio that she would capture our day perfectly, and she exceeded all expectations. I have received an outpouring of compliments from family and friends about how beautiful and unique our pictures are. Erika is unbelievably creative, talented, professional, and organized; while also being understanding, approachable, and easy-going. When I reached out to her initially, she was quick to get in touch with me on the phone and we instantly hit it off. I felt like she had my vision of our wedding day within a minute of our conversation and had numerous ideas for style and photo options as she is familiar with our venue. When we decided to work together, she sent me a package full of her photos and tips about what to expect for the photography process, along with a Starbucks gift card and sweet note to keep me motivated and caffeinated while wedding planning. On the big day, she was the perfect balance of hard working and easy going- she kept everyone moving and kept to our timeline (actually ahead of schedule), but she was also up for any ideas or changes in the moment. Beyond her talent, which is unmistakeable, Erika is also just fun to spending your wedding day with- her passion for what she does and how much she cares about capturing your day is obvious. In addition, her and Joshua Bryan, who we hired for video, work perfectly together. They know each other's process and are seamlessly in tune as they work. Hire them, you will not regret it. -

Where do I even begin?? Working with Erika this past year has been a dream! Not only is she an absolute sweetheart she is so full of talent, skill, and is tons of fun! She made us so comfortable and every photo turned out amazing! Not to mention every single member of the wedding party said how easy she was to work with and how impressed they were. She made the day go so smoothly. Also we already got a mini sneak peak! You need Erika to photograph your wedding!
I found Erika through my wedding planner, the moment I saw her work I knew I needed her to photograph my wedding! I fell in love with her light, bright, airy style of photography! Besides her amazing photography, Erika is also the sweetest person! Her bubbly personality is absolutely infectious! She took our engagement photos in November 2019 and had them all edited and back to us on the same day!! Not only was there the fastest turn around, the photos were perfect! Erika and her husband, Josh, captured our wedding day perfectly and I have gotten the most amazing compliments from my wedding party about her demeanor on our day! She even sent us 72 photos in a sneak peek the night of our wedding!!! I cannot wait to see the rest of the photos! Thank you so much Erika, I am so thankful you captured our day so perfectly and I will have these pictures to remember it by forever! -

Erika and her husband, Josh photographed our wedding and I cannot say enough amazing things about the both of them.
Erika helped me with all of my timeline questions and leading up to the wedding she was very responsive and helpful with any questions along the way. She was incredible day of the wedding and *bonus* she’s also amazing at makeup and after I sobbed reading my vows during first look, she immediately fixed my makeup and made it look like nothing ever happened. The photos in our final gallery are perfect. She does such incredible work and I am SO thankful she was our photographer 💓 -

Erika was referred to me by another photographer, which ended up being a perfect match for our day. Erika is outstanding, she is so personable through social media which allows you to get to know her authentic self, which also makes you feel so comfortable in every shoot. During the time that we had been working with Erika since we had to change our date 3 times due to covid, she moved from Virginia to California to Pennsylvania. During that time, she made herself extremely flexible to travel back and forth from the west coast to the east coast. She planned our DC engagement session during a personal trip from California to Virginia. She sent us photos what felt like immediately from that session and they were stunning. She captured our wedding beautifully, the brightness and lighting look perfect in the photos. Her husband Josh was there for both sessions and he captured the men getting ready, they are so great together. We rode with them both in the limo to the church and they are just so great to speak to. We were limited with areas to take photos because of the rain, so we had to go in a covered area that cars drive under - josh pulled a “no driving” sign to stop the traffic for Erika to be able to get undisturbed photos. She also came prepared with the classiest white umbrella for photos outside. They aren’t afraid to take risks to get the perfect shot. In her photos you see real emotion that transfers you right back to the moments, but she interacts so swiftly through the crowd that you don’t even realize she’s there. Also, she did all of this when she was EIGHT MONTHS PREGNANT! she had an amazing attitude the entire night and was a huge part of our day. Also, we had a huge bridal party, I had 16 bridesmaids so a total of 27 in our bridal party and she rallied everyone perfectly. We wanted to capture our sparkler exit and getting ready, so we added on an extra hour last minute, but she was so flexible and was okay doing that. The quality of her photos are so professional. I would 10/10 recommend her. -

Erika is hands-down the most amazing photographer you could choose for your big day! Not only did she capture the most beautiful, timeless images that somehow captured how it actually FELT to be there, she made the entire wedding day feel breezy and comfortable, through and through! She was able to somehow capture all the major moments without ever making it feel forced, and brought the most warm, calming, bubbly energy to the entire day! We were fortunate enough to have her at both our welcome party and wedding, and she seamlessly blended into the crowd, finding the perfect balance of making sure everyone had their ideal posed photos (like couples and family members) while also getting so many wonderful candids of each special moment. I had multiple friends strike up a conversation with her thinking she was a guest, and told me later how kind and sweet our photographer was! She went above and beyond in capturing every small detail, and was so thoughtful in her timeline to make sure a second wasn’t missed, both big and small. While her expert photography skills are reason enough for her to be your first choice, her personality and willingness to help outside of the typical job description is what really made her stand out in our book when searching for a photographer. She was so flexible and willing to work with us as a destination couple in making sure she was there for everything, helping answer questions and making recommendations on venue set-up, color palettes, etc. during planning, and as a bride, assisting with such MAJOR getting ready tasks on day-of! She is incredible when it comes to beauty, and was a god-send in helping with makeup touch-ups, getting my very long/heavy veil to actually attach to my head, and help with my bustle/bow of my dress to make it look beautiful. I immediately felt like she was one of my best friends, and my husband commented on how her positive, calm energy was so helpful when he was getting nervous leading into our first look. She was such a bright light during our entire day, and made sure we never felt rushed or stressed that the shot list wouldn’t happen if certain aspects of the timeline got messed up. Lastly, she got the sneak peek photos to use within days, and our entire photo album within the month. This is not only faster than expected, but made getting to re-live all those moments immediately after they happened feel that much more special. In summary, she captured all of our organic moments beautifully, with a comforting smile and helping hand throughout the entire day, and we would recommend her to any and everyone! -

I loved working with Erika! She captured exactly what I wanted for both our engagement session and our wedding and was helpful during the whole process. From planning what types of pictures we wanted, where we wanted them, specifics we wanted to be captured, I felt comfortable sharing my ideas and what I wanted with her and I felt her and other shooters were responsive to my opinion. She was super helpful with making me and my husband feel comfortable during both shoots as well, since we are definitely not used to being in front of a camera. We also got some sneak peak photos of our wedding and our engagement very quickly. I would work with Erika again in a heartbeat :) -

I booked her and she took great engagement pics so I trusted her for my wedding and it wasn't the best experience. I made a timeline and outlined everything I wanted her to capture in detail and chatted on the phone. She failed to capture my attire, close-up jewelry, in detail of a lot of parts of my reception that meant a lot to my family especially my indian attire. Also hired a second photographer with her. I am really bummed that she didn't capture a lot of what would have made my day. In addition- she then took down all our pics from her facebook page.
