EK Cakery was absolutely a hit at our wedding! We had an assortment of desserts of macarons, cookies, cupcakes, dessert bars, and a beautiful artistic 3 tier cake. We had many compliments about every dessert we served. At the end of the night, there were only a few macarons left! We are very pleased with everything and would love to keep giving business to EK Cakery.
*Note: The dog figure near the cake was made by me. -

Amazing wedding cake

Can I give EK Cakery more stars than 5? From the very beginning with our initial meeting and tasting with Erica - we knew she was the person we wanted to work with! Our cake decoration needs weren't extreme - our wedding theme was simple and elegant - but the flavors! OMG! It was so hard to choose so we chose four! Top knotch in everything! So easy to work with and definitely the best cake I've ever had. Everyone at the wedding (including the woman who crashed the wedding) raved about it. Thank you for making our day just "that much better!" -

After completing the contract everything was so easy. They literally take care of everything. I was still in the bridal suite when they set up and they just jumped right in and took care of it. Super refreshing to have people come in and do their best work! BROWNIES WERE AMAAAAZING -

Absolutely Amazing and Delicious!
From the beginning, Erica has been absolutely amazing. The tasting was great - even though it was a tasting, Erica took the time to make the presentation beautiful. We were blown away by both the flavors and the looks.
For our wedding, we ended up getting a display cake for cutting which was AMAZING, four flavors of cupcakes for the guests, a variety of dessert bars, and gourmet marshmallows. All were delicious!
Erica helped us plan out the proper number of desserts so we didn't get too much and have a lot of leftovers - we only ended up with a small box of cupcakes leftover because the numbers were perfect. We also rented display stands from Erica, and the way it was set up was flawless!
Throughout the process, working with Erica was the easiest thing to do. We highly recommend Erica and EK Cakery for any of your cake and dessert needs! -

Wow just incredible! I showed Erika a Pintrest photo of what we wanted and she delivered! The cake was gorgeous and EXACTLY like the inspiration photo. It was almost too pretty to eat, but I am glad we did because we got so many compliments on how delicious the cake was. The icing is like nothing I've ever had before. Just amazing! -

Erica brought my cake dreams to life! One of the only things I REALLY wanted for my wedding was a geode cake. I found an inspiration photo on Pinterest and started reaching out to bakeries. The few responses I received didn't "wow" me, and then my mom found Erica.
My mom, husband (fiancé at the time), and I went to see Erica to talk out our ideas and have a cake tasting. Erica assured us she could create the cake of our dreams. She was extremely kind and informative, and we had a great time chatting with her.
I'm not a huge cake-lover, but MAN—were her cakes delicious! We ended up getting 4 different sheet cake flavors and they were all delicious. We also had an absolutely gorgeous 3-tier geode cake with turquoise and gold. And, the cake was even prettier than the inspiration photo I originally found.
The cake matched our theme perfectly and was stunning. We had so many compliments about how beautiful is was and how delicious the sheet cakes were. I would 1000% recommend Erica to any bride or someone just wanting a fun cake. Thank you Erica! -

Perfect in every way! Great desserts and great people!
Not only was Erica and her husband some of the sweetest people we met, their sweet treats were simply amazing! We got a individual cake to cut, various flavors of cupcakes, cookies, and dessert bars. You cannot go wrong with getting EK Cakery for any special occasion! -

Ek Cakery is the best!
Erica is super nice and made sure every detail was exactly what we wanted. Her prices were very reasonable (better than most), especially for the quality and design of the cake! Not to mention, her cakes are DELICIOUS. We had such a hard time choosing our cake flavors. We couldn’t have been more pleased. Thank you Erica! -

From the moment we scheduled a tasting through to our wedding day, she was there for us and super helpful. The tasting was an extremely enjoyable experience with four small (but actually pretty large) cakes made just for us with the flavors we chose. The back and forth to finalize the design was seamless, and she was extremely accommodating as we had to make a number of changes (wedding date, size, etc.) due to COVID-19. And I can't forget to say that the cakes are DELICIOUS! Highly recommend! -

Simply the most delicious cake I’ve eaten. And I was even gluten free! Moist and sweet. This baker knows what she’s doing! Professional and fun to work with, too. Guests were raving about the dessert table. Can’t wait to order another cake for our anniversary!! -

Beautiful Wedding Cake with a story
We visited Erica for cake tasting in her sweet shop in Belvidere. We were swept away with her presentation of trial cakes. After we talked our ideas, she understood exacly what she needs to do. And she did it beautifully! -

It all started with an experience of the tasting. Her shop is beautiful. Pretty in pink. She took her time and she wanted very much to please us. The tasting was of 4 beautiful cakes. The tasting was with my husband and I and our daughter and her fiance. This was a memorable experience. We also had her create our rehearsal cakes for the bride and groom. They were fabulous. She also created Valentine's cookies for our family that came from out of town. This was a nice touch. The wedding cake was created with many different flavors and with an array of cream frostings. On the actual wedding cake we had real flowers on the cake; of which she went to pick up and decorate. It was a show stopper. She is a beautiful women inside and out. She aims to please and wants your experience to magical. We would reccomend her to a bride and groom that wants perfection and a monumental experience. ❤ Michael & Mindy Reiman -

Erica made our wedding cake and cupcakes for our wedding in April 2019. She is the sweetest person to work with and made our Game Of Thrones cake come to life! Her cupcakes are so delicious that it was so hard to only pick 3 flavors!!! Erica set up our dessert table with our cake so beautifully that it was one less thing for me to stress out about. I’m so glad we choose Erica for our big day... guests from my wedding are still talking about how good her cupcakes are. -

While searching for a cake for our wedding, I remembered a bunch of people at work talking about a young lady who made awesome cakes and treats. She had just left her job to open her own cakery, so I contacted her via Facebook. Erica was so amazingly sweet, informative and there for any questions I had. We scheduled a tasting and to talk about cake design and cupcake flavors. The tasting was perfect in every way! She made individual mini cakes per flavor requested and set up a little table with milk, water and plate settings. We decided on carrot cake for our wedding cake, which was just delicious! The cake was tender, full of flavor and the cream cheese frosting was so smooth and sweet. For cupcakes we chose Carrot, Smores, Lemon Raspberry, and vanilla. Erica made 216 cupcakes for our wedding, and at the end of the night we didn't have one left over! We had so many compliments on the cupcakes! Erica and her husband Caleb we such a joy to work with, we would reccomend them to anyone! You will not be disappointed with choosing Erica Koren Cakery! -

We were all from out of town for my daughter’s Rockford, IL wedding and Erica could not have been more helpful and accommodating. She had no reservations about creating the cake my daughter dreamed of and she did EXACTLY THAT!! The cake was gorgeous and delicious!! I thin it was photographed almost as much as the Bride!!
