Best Photographer this side of the Mississippi

Hands down the best photographer on google and a even better human. They are a a phenomenal team and did awesome with engagement and wedding photos. Extremely easy to work with and awesome at removing the awkwardness of getting your photo taken. Their photographs increased my attractiveness by at least 2 points on a 10 point scale. Would give 10 stars if I could.

Perfectly captured and preserved every moment

Couldn't have been more pleased with our engagement and wedding photos. Once we saw a samples of Erica's photo's we knew she was the one for us. Erica and Antonio are true artists of the craft. She captured every important moment and went above and beyond to produce beautiful photos. Not only are they incredibly skilled but they put the effort into each shot as if it was their own.

Simply the best!

Photographs were high on my priority list for my wedding. I fell in love with Erica’s work from the first time I saw it. Fell even more in love once I met Erica and Antonio. Truly amazing individuals with a wonderful eye for photos. I couldn’t be more please with our experience.

The most amazing and talented photographer who is bound to become your friend!

Erica was amazing from the moment we met her. She was the last of our meetings with various photographers around Columbus and we immediately felt at ease with her. It also helped that she offered us our favorite beverages and treats. Big win! After that first conversation, there was no doubt she was the best fit for us. She totally ran with the idea of having our engagement photos done at Hofbräuhaus (a place we spend a lot of time) and even joined us for dinner after the session. We also loved getting to know Antonio and their amazing relationship absolutely transcends the moments and photos they capture as a team. They didn’t pose us during our engagement shoot, they just wanted us to be our genuine, happy selves and we feel this is reflected in all of our photos.

We also loved all of the little things Erica did for us throughout our 16-month engagement. From the photo reveals to the surprise goodies that occasionally showed up at our door. It was a constant reminder that while she may not be actively doing something for us wedding prep-wise, she was still thinking of us.

On the day of the wedding, Erica was exactly how we wanted a photographer to be. She was in charge and organized, but still very fun, creative, and personable. She had a lot of great ideas for detail shots and we trusted that whatever she did and wherever she put us, it would look great. Not only did we love the relationship between us and Erica, of course our photographs were beyond perfect! We loved that Erica worked with us to create a wedding album that is beautiful and tells the story of the day. Everyone who has seen the album has commented on the quality of both the photos and book.

We would recommend Erica Kay Photography to anyone who is looking for amazing photographs of their most important moments in life from a creative, positive, and loving individual who is bound to become a friend.

If you stumbled across my review you can stop looking for a photographer immediately! Erica Kay Photography will be everything you expect and more. Erica is extremely professional, energetic and supportive during the wedding process. She is beyond organized and makes NOTHING stressful. Seriously, my wife and I are very organized and she met and exceeded all of our expectations. Not to mention she is highly knowledgable in every aspect of the wedding process. She takes care of all the details, so you can just enjoy your day. What will be the most challenging part while working with Erica? Well, every picture turns out spectacular, so best of luck picking your favorites. There are no challenges with Erica, just exceptional customer service; a friendly and comfortable environment she purposefully creates; and high quality photos. Great People, Service, Results and Experience

Amazing job! From our professional headshots 5 years ago to our engagement and weddings photos last year.

Erica provide a great experience. She made the process easy, fit right in with us and our guests and delivered outstanding work (photos, blog, albums, etc.). The photo reveal party was a nice touch and great time to reflect on our wedding given how quickly it flew by and our busy schedule.

Also, it's nice to know we gave our business to two truly great people (thanks Antonio as well).

The Best Wedding Photographer!

Erica was our wedding photographer in October, and we were so pleased that her and Antonio were able to capture the day so perfectly! Erica was very thorough and professional, but also made our wedding day (and leading up to it) a fun experience. We had the idea of wanting our engagement photos at the Columbus Zoo, and Erica was totally on board and made it happen which we were so excited about! The photos of our wedding day are beautiful and we will cherish them for a lifetime. Erica made us feel comfortable in front of the camera, has an amazing eye for creatively catching the moment, and threw in several sweet surprises for us along the way. Thank you, Erica and Antonio!

Best Wedding Photographer

We must say we loved Erica the day we met her. We met with multiple photographers but once we met Erica we instantly knew we found our photographer. We must say she was more than a photographer, she was our partner who made parts of the wedding process so smooth. From the engagement photo session, follow up meetings, to the actual wedding day. She was able to put a vision without us able to articulate what we wanted. She is very creative and we couldn’t be more happier with how our experience and photos came out. We don’t really know photography but we knew what we liked when we saw Ericas portfolio. We appreciate all she did for us and would highly recommend her for anyone!

Perfect day with perfect moments captured

Erica was so wonderful to work with from the very beginning! We loved everything we saw before we even met her and loved it even more as we saw the way she got to know about us and then captured our own story. She went above and beyond our expectations and helped with the entire timeline of the day and different options just in case Ohio weather didn't cooperate. The photos are amazing and captured so many moments we'll cherish forever. We absolutely love the photos and can't wait to put them up in our house! The only downside is we only get to go through this wedding experience with her once but look forward to hopefully doing other photo sessions with her in the future!

Beautiful photos!

I was the maid of honor for my sister Kaitlin and her husband, Alan's wedding in Columbus, OH. I only 'worked" with Erica Kay Photography on that day, so I can't attest to their responsiveness, etc. throughout the whole process, but what I CAN say is that my sister's photos were AWESOME! There were so many photos to choose from of everyone who helped celebrate their special day.

So Perfect!

Erica Kay Photography made the entire process AMAZING for us! Her willingness to travel and explore for the perfect locations made for the BEST photos! Planning a wedding is stressful, so I was incredibly relieved to find Erica. Everything was very relaxed, but still attentive. One thing that sets Erica apart is the 'photo reveal' she did for us at the end. She gathered snacks and our favorite beverages and met with us to view the pictures and create an album together. From engagement pictures, until receiving our final album, everything was amazing and so effortless!! I couldn't be happier to have had her capture our big day!

Fabulous photography

Wow. Erica did a fantastic job on our daughters wedding. I sat down crying many happy tears looking at the great shots of the entire day. She captured so many happy,wonderful,heartfelt moments. I highly recommend her.

Amazing and professional photographer

Erica photographed myself and my husband, Alan's, weddding on May 18, 2019. She, and her husband, did a FANTASTIC job! Our pictures are amazing and she captured so many little things I never even got to see at the wedding. When I look back at our pictures it gives me such a happy feeling to remember such a great day. My favorite part of her pictures is she captured all of the happy emotions of the day including myself, Alan, and all our family and friends. She is truly an exceptional artist.

The perfect day captured beautifully

Erica Kay Photography captured our wedding perfectly! We LOVED working with Erica and her husband, Antonio. They're both so full of love & joy and truly cared about capturing every aspect of our wedding through photographs (beautiful photographs I must add 😍). They took the stress right out of our planning. From creating a timeline together, to understanding every detail, Erica had it covered. On our wedding day everything fell into place, photos were taken on time, which meant we weren't late for dinner 🤗, and she captured the most amazing sunset photos at just the right moment. After our wedding when it came time for our photo reveal, Erica and Antonio invited us into their home to view all of our photos on a large screen, AND they had delicious food for us to snack on! After the reveal, Erica had already prepped a digital version of our photo album, we just simply had to play around with layouts and photos to make it the way we wanted it. The album is perfect and I can't thank Erica Kay Photography enough for photographing our wedding ❤️

Excellent service and awesome pictures

My wife and I got married back on October 21, 2017. It was a perfect Fall day. There was no rain, not too much wind and plenty of sunshine. Erica was able to capture our day to it’s fullest and we would recommend her to anyone!

Amazing!

I don't have enough good things to say about Erica and her husband. First off they are some of the nicest people I've ever met and they were so awesome to work with! We started planning our wedding from South Carolina and Erica was super helpful & accommodating throughout the whole process. Erica kept everything organized and professional and has been so personable throughout the whole experience. We had both our engagement photos and wedding photos taken by Erica Kay Photography and I'm so impressed with how all of our pictures came out. They are AMAZING! Our photo sessions felt laid back and Erica and her husband really took their time to make sure they got the perfect photos (which they did!). I honestly could not have asked for a better photographer. I 100% recommend Erica Kay Photography if you are in need of a photographer!

Professional yet fun

Erica did a great job for my sisters wedding! She listened to Marisa’s ideas and had some of her own. The pictures turned out amazing and the wedding party had a blast the entire time! The pictures Erica took of our family are hanging in my house!

Our wedding day was perfect and Erica kay photography did the most amazing job. The lighting in our venue was tricky being an aquarium but it was no challenge for Erica. Every picture is so beautiful and unique and we are absolutely in love with them all. Would recommend Erica 100%!!

Erica did an amazing job capturing my brother and sister-in-law’s wedding last year. The quality of the photos is great and looking back through them stirs up all of the emotions of Josh and Kelsey’s day. We had such a fun time during the photo session between the ceremony and the reception. She and her team made that time exciting while maintaining professionalism. I was the maid of honor in a wedding Erica shot. She did an amazing job wrangling the bridal party and being efficient so that Kelsey and Josh could get all the pictures they wanted. We were able to go to multiple locations and still get to the reception with time to spare. I will be recommending her to my other friends getting married in Columbus!

I was recently the best man of my childhood friends Mark and Briann's wedding, and Erica was their photographer. She was wonderful to work with and was able to put us "Guys" at ease. Even though it started raining during the photos, Erica and her team was able to keep things going smoothly and capture the moments. I would definitely recommend her.

Erica was a fantastic photographer for Mark Anthony and Brianne’s wedding! It rained unexpectedly that day, so we had to improvise a few photo locations and she took it all in stride. The photos still came out sharp with the appearance of us being outside in the sun even though we were under an amphitheater overhang at one point. She also did very well in photographing the animals provided by the zoo and they were very hard to keep still. You’d never know from her photos that they were actually zooming around and trying to eat our shoes. Thanks so much for capturing my best friend’s perfect day so beautifully!!!

My wife and I (Jamie and Ben Hughes) used Erica for both our engagement session and wedding photos. She came highly recommended and lived up to every good thing we had heard. I was recently a bridesmaid in an already beautiful wedding, but Erica definitely captured the amazing day and made it even more special! I have been anxiously waiting to see our wedding pictures from 5/2/15 so that I could write this review. They arrived this week and I am speechless. Erica captured every moment of our wedding day, from the tears, to the laughter, and the smiles we had from ear to ear!. She isn't just your average photographer, she is an incredible. Erica worked with us and got everything we could have asked for and so so much more. When we first met her last summer, we knew without a doubt, that she was the one for us. We didn't need to interview any other photographer. We sat down to get to know her, and felt like we had already known her for years. So friendly as easy to talk to. Make us feel so comfortable when it came to asking questions and picking a package that worked for us. Thankfully, that package included our engagement pictures. So happy we did that, because it made us a lot more comfortable with her, and in front of the camera. We were blown away with how they turned out and couldn't wait to see what she would do for the wedding. When the big day arrived, she was right there and it felt so normal to have her following us around with her camera. There were so many pictures to chose from. She shot everything, from me getting ready, to my husband and I opening gifts from one another, big first look ever, bridal party, etc. She doesn't shoot the "same old pictures" you've seen a million times, but will if you'd like of course. She is so creative and comes up with these breath-taking shots and angles, that are one in a million! There are many people that are excited to climb a tree to get the perfect shot. In one word, Erica Kay is AMAZING. We absolutely loved working with her and I cannot put into words how thankful we are for choosing her. Her style is creative and fun. The engagement shoot (something neither my fiance or I expected to be so much fun) was a blast because she followed us around doing (mostly) normal things on a Sunday and caught us having fun as a couple. The wedding day was also made perfect, partially due to Erica. She knows when to take charge and when to step back and get candid shots. She's also really thoughtful and she is NOT a photographer that simply shows up on the day-of. Perhaps the best thing about her (after her stunning photos) is that she works hard to cultivate a relationship with her couples and makes you feel special. We got coffee a few times leading up to the day and she sent us little thoughtful gifts around the holidays and whatnot. She is the best and I would recommend her again and again. Everyone comments on how gorgeous the photos are and this is all due to Erica!

If you want 100% traditional, run of the mill photos, don't use Erica. If you want spectacular, unique, fun, gorgeous photos, use Erica.

From our fun engagement shoot on Ohio State's campus and downtown to my surprise boudoir shoot for my husband's gift - I've been nothing but impressed by Erica's work. No two wedding blogs look alike because her creative eye sees something different and unique in each couple. Our wedding was less than two weeks ago and I haven't even seen our images yet but I have no doubt they will be spectacular.

Erica was the very first vendor we booked for our wedding and I'm so glad I snatched her up because she has been top notch. From our initial, super-fast communications to our first meeting, I fell in love all over again - with her! She was very organized, prompt, courteous, and became a friend over the last 15 months. I have referred her to two (now three!) friends because I just love her so much! I have no imagination or vision so I go with her flow and am blown away by what I see when I get my images back. Just trust her. Do what she asks, trust her vision through the lens, and you'll end up with pictures you want to share with everyone and tell all your friends about. She is so deserving of her Best Of award this year. I never thought I'd willingly share my boudoir photos as I'm not 100% confident in my body, but she made me see a side of myself I never imagined and I'm happy to show (most - not all! Those are for hubby's eyes only!) my girlfriends my boudoir shoot and encourage them to do one for themselves. The photos are just as much a gift for themselves as it is for their husbands, trust me!

I'll be using Erica for all our pictures and will willingly drive 2 hours from home to have her capture our future important events in our lives. I can't wait to see our images and see how many people will use the best photographer

Where do I even begin?! Erica is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! Since day one, Erica has been top notch!! She has been involved in my planning process and so incredibly helpful! From, helping me decide the right colors to wear for my engagement pictures, to the type of outfits to wear for my boudoir shoot, to creating the timeline for the day of the wedding and then, most of all, capturing EVERY singe shot I could have ever wanted on the day of the wedding! Sometimes I feel like these "Write a Review" forms just don't do justice for the people who go above and beyond. Like, "Why can I only give Erica 5 stars, when I'd really like to give her a lot more?" ... because if I could, I'd give her 5000 (maybe more)!!!

Erica was absolutely fantastic to work with while planning our event. From our first meeting, I knew that she was the right woman for the job and she proved it through and through. She's got a heart of gold and is so fun to be around (not to mention that she was a total trooper, when it was well below freezing outside on the day of our engagement photos.) She really takes the time to get to know her clients and makes each of them feel like the most important in the world. Erica interacts wonderfully with the people she works with and makes you feel so comfortable in front of the camera. She is super on top of things, she knows the questions to ask, and far exceeded our expectations of a wedding photographer!

On our big day, Erica continued to impress. Erica was professional and dedicated to getting great shots. She worked well with our crazy families and was a source of calm when things seemed chaotic. Erica is one of a kind! She is sooo talented. Every time I see our pictures I am in awe of how she captured the moment. They are always so perfect and we have received COUNTLESS compliments on all of our engagement, wedding and fall photographs Erica took. We are graduating and taking a big trip soon and Cody said, "lets take Erica so she can take pictures." HAHA Erica doesn't know it yet but she will be photographing my future pregnancies, newborn pics, our first home, anniversaries, family pics, you name it ;) we dearly love her and I couldn't compliment and recommend her enough! And she's cute as heck too sooo book her as fast as you can :)

Looking at Erica's work speaks for itself! She has such a creative eye and is a natural to the business. Erica has done both our engagement and wedding photography. The wedding photos were extremely important to me as they are the only thing you have to walk away from your wedding day with besides the memories. Erica surpassed our expectations with the quality of our photos as well as the ability to capture all of the important, special and fun moments of the day. Erica was easy to work with in planning our event. I honestly couldn't have asked more from her as the photographer for our big day. I know we will be using her in the future!

Erica was our wedding photographer in July. She was extremely professional in every way. She navigated through our families well, scheduled the day in a reasonable manner, executed that schedule in a way where we didn't feel apart from our guests. We received our digital folder of almost 700 photos and have shared many tears of joy and happiness every time. Erica captured the beauty, love, and happiness of that day for us, our families, and our guests to make the day immortal.

Erica Kay Photography blew me away with the way they captured every single moment of our wedding day in Springfield, Ohio. They were with us all day long, making sure not to miss a single detail. Erica and her photography partner Autumn were spot on with all of their photographs. I also did a boudoir session with Erica and she made me feel so comfortable from the time I walked into her space until the minute I left. The pictures are phenomenal and she lets you design your own photo package. I highly recommend Erica for every bride out there! :)

My wife and I got married in May and had the pleasure of working with Erica. She did amazing job with our photos. everything from our engagement pictures to our wedding day was gorgeous. Erica was wonderful and great to work with I would recommend her to anyone getting married!

If you are looking for a photographer who understands lighting and really captures all of those special, sometimes intimate moments, I recommend Erica. The "poses" aren't a specialty, though she will take them on request. Her shots of our bridal party and "scenic" location shots were really unique. She was professional and seriously "hidden"-- I barely noticed her. We had our photos in 6 weeks and were excited by her preview blog shortly after the wedding. I've also received endless compliments on my pictures from friends, family and strangers! She is also very organized-- a detail that is so helpful to a soon to be bride!!

Erica and her team were great to work with. She was very willing to listen to all of my questions and ideas for pictures. When I received my proofs, I had pictures I didn't even know she took because she is not "in your face" at all.

We did have one issue with lighting and shadows on my face from the lighting in the church, but the colors were great.

I still get a kick out of looking at what she took and she captured all of the great moments!

I was referred to Erica Kay Photography by friends that used her for their wedding. I have in turn referred her to several more friends. I can honestly say that every single one of us were so impressed with her professionalism, her talent and her ability to personalize all of our events to capture exactly what we hoped for. She offers creative packages at very fair prices and had everything to us earlier than we expected. We were so thrilled with everything! I will call Erica for every special event in my future. When choosing a photographer for our wedding, our biggest concern was staying in budget. Erica Kay Photography blew us away with the quality of photographs for the price she was offering. She was also very flexible with the pricing and packaging and was able to accommodate our budget with the services we wanted. She was very easy to get into contact with and was very responsive to all my requests. Our wedding date changed last minute, and she was very flexible and patient as plans changed when decisions were made last minute. She was also very patient with my guests when taking posed pictures. She was very professional, respectful, and upbeat. I am incredibly happy with the quality of our wedding photos and would recommend Erica Kay Photography in a heartbeat. Erica is simply the best there is! My husband, Michael, and I got married in August, Erica did such an amazing job! From our first meeting, to our engagement session, to the big day and beyond she was so helpful, and made everything so easy. She captured every aspect of our special day, even with a not so helpful toddler running around. The photographs came out better than I could have ever imagined. Erica continued to guide us long after our wedding day was over, she made multiple trips to our home to help us plan a layout for our canvases, which we received as gift from her wedding registry, another awesome perk she provides. My wife and I got married last August in Columbus, and Erica was recommended to us by two close friends. We actually asked them about their photographer after seeing how gorgeous their wedding photos were. Andrea and I had a great experience with Erica. She did our engagement shoot and walked us through everything all the way up to the wedding. She really captured beautiful candid moments from our ceremony and reception, and all the pictures of friends and family are of the highest quality. I especially appreciated how quickly she was able to get our pictures to us (both for the engagement and the wedding) and her availability to answer questions or remind us of important steps in the process.

Erica was great to work with! Our wedding at the zoo was beautifully captured; in spite of our rainy wedding day, she and her second photographer were able to adapt to changes in weather and venues and produce some truly memorable shots. On an important note, and especially since we didn’t have a wedding planner, our time with Erica was well spent meeting in advance to discuss not only which photos we knew we wanted but also what the flow and timing of each part of the wedding day would look like. On the actually day, it was great to not have to think about all of these moving parts and, as promised, rarely did it ever feel like we were being posed through each photo. The genuine emotions on our faces during the ceremony (especially mine) were definitely captured, as many who were there can attest to!

Great Working with Erica!

Erica was great to work with! She was wonderful for both our engagement photos and on our wedding day. For our engagement photos, she was willing to travel with us to Hocking Hills and took some incredible shots. For our wedding day, we had elegantly composed and candid snaps at the Ohio Statehouse. Erica was very personable and easy to work with, and you can really tell that she loves what she does. We held our wedding at the zoo, which was supposed to be outdoors, but rain ended up changing that plan. Erica was able to adjust to the change, coordinate with the other vendors, and help us with the transition as well. She captured a lot of the details that made our wedding "our wedding" and we're really appreciative that she took the time to go above and beyond during the planning of the wedding.

My husband and I decided to go with Erica after seeing her gorgeous photos from the wedding of a friend of ours. Erica is very professional and thoughtful through the wedding process. She has lots of tips and advice for planning and she was always fast at getting back to me with questions. Erica's specialty is truly capturing the whole scene. Her shots always include the beautiful setting as well as the people in it. She is an artist at heart snapping most shots from a distance to better capture the feeling of the frame. It was very different from a typical photographer.
