If you are looking for an all star wedding photographer look no further than Eric! We met him at a bridal expo early in 2025, and after looking at SO many different photographers, I knew immediately Eric was the one to hire! Not only is he personable, his work is phenomenal! He captured not only our wedding but our engagement shoot, and got the vibes to a T! Prior to the wedding we had multiple zoom meetings to discuss wants, who all would be in attendance, and important points. On the big day, Eric showed up almost an hour early for an already long day. He kept us on track, set appropriate boundaries for family that needed to be set, and captured every moment! Multiple family members made comments about how wonderful he was to work with and how professional he and the 2nd photographer were. Not only all of that, but the pictures he delivered were AMAZING! Couldn’t recommend Eric more! Definitely have confidence when you book him! -

I had the pleasure of working with Eric during a styled shoot at The Heathman Lodge on August 12, 2025, and the whole process was truly wonderful. From start to finish, Eric was reliable, creative, and such a joy to collaborate with. He is responsive, easy to communicate with, and goes above and beyond in his dedication.
We even worked together to go over different design proposals, and the discussions were always pleasant and smooth. He also joined me and the model at the bridal boutique—not only to help choose the dress, but also to return for the fitting. That level of commitment speaks volumes about how invested he is in his craft.
On the day of the shoot, Eric arrived prepared and on time, even bringing a set of walkie-talkies to make communication seamless. He thoughtfully designed overlays to elevate the photos and worked with warmth and flexibility, which put everyone at ease and made the collaboration fun.
Eric is a talented, creative, and supportive photographer with an incredible eye—knowing the best angles, corners, and lighting to capture elegant, beautiful photos. His creativity and professionalism shone through every step of the way. There are not enough words to express how thankful we are for Eric and the way he captured our wedding!!
During every single conversation — he was warm, attentive, and so easy to connect with! From moment one - it was like chatting with a wonderful friend. Something about Eric just puts you at ease - which is SO important when considering a wedding photographer and all the stress building up to and on that one big day.
We also did an engagement shoot with Eric a few months before the wedding. This was a game changer that gave us the confidence to be ourselves in front of the camera, which made the photos from our wedding day feel effortless, genuine, and so full of joy. He even made the time to come out for a site visit prior to the wedding! So many great things to say about him, his professionalism & attention to detail.
On the day itself, Eric and his second shooter were phenomenal. They blended into the day so seamlessly, bringing calm energy, kindness, and so much positivity. Guests during the wedding kept telling us how friendly and professional they both were and how comfortable they felt around them. That’s such a rare and special gift, and it showed in the photos—every shot radiates love, and happiness.
As a queer couple, we felt truly celebrated and supported, not just photographed. That meant everything to us. We will forever treasure these photos and cannot wait to work with Eric again in the future. Choosing him as our photographer was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.
Oh and big tip!! Eric helped us put his photo album upgrade option on our wedding registry! Such a freaking great idea for guests to put money towards that which we will have to look at for the rest of our lives! -

August 2025 Wedding
We feel SO lucky to have had Eric Doolin as our wedding photographer! We had met Eric at a Bridal Expo where there were dozens of photographers being showcased, but Eric's photos and style stood out to us completely. His photos were breathtaking--they included everything from small, personalized details to big, sweeping, grand moments. And from our very first meeting, Eric made us feel completely comfortable and confident that our memories were in the best hands.
Leading up to the wedding, Eric was an excellent communicator. He was always quick to respond, patient with our questions, and incredibly helpful in walking us through the timeline and photo planning. His guidance made the process so smooth and gave us peace of mind knowing everything was handled.
On our wedding day, Eric did more than just capture beautiful images—he reminded us of the love we share and made that the focus throughout the entire process. He encouraged us to slow down, be present with each other, share some giggles and memories, and let our connection shine through, which made the experience (and the photos) even more meaningful. He blended seamlessly into the celebration—always in the right place at the right time—capturing every laugh, tear, and little moment in between.
His eye for detail is incredible. Eric didn’t just take photos; he told the story of our day in the most beautiful, authentic way. Looking through our gallery felt like reliving the wedding all over again, and we will treasure these images for the rest of our lives.
Beyond his artistry, Eric is such a sweet and caring person, with a calming and comforting presence. We are one of those couples that freeze up and don't know what to do with our hands as soon as there's a lens in front of us, but not with Eric. He had prompts and poses at-the-ready to help capture the most stunning photos. We have never felt more beautiful than in these photos, truly. Weddings can be hectic, to say the least, but he had a way of making everything feel relaxed and fun and always met us with the kindest energy.

As a wedding planner I LOVED working alongside Eric! I've been a planner for 4+ years now and have worked with countless photographers but Eric is in my hall of fame, without a doubt. Throughout planning process, he was so easy to work alongside and I felt like we were in sync every step of the way. Then come wedding day he followed the timeline to a T and was super communicative with myself and the rest of the vendor team. He made the day so easy and super fun. Not to mention the photos turned out perfect (duh). If you're considering booking him, do it do it do it!! -

We met Eric at a wedding expo while looking for vendors for our wedding. We were drawn to his photos and he explained how he does a combo of digital and film photos. He was doing a drawing for a free engagement shoot and we wound up winning.
For the engagement shoot we chose Latourell Falls. Eric directed us and asked us questions to get to know us and our style. Before we even got the photos back we knew immediately he was the photographer we wanted for our wedding day.
Eric was extremely helpful in helping us plan photo shots we wanted for our big day. He was organized and provided tools to help us ensure that we got photos with all of our guests.
Eric and his assistant Jason took so many amazing photos for our wedding. We cannot thank them enough for capturing everything and just being absolutely fantastic to work with.
Eric's work truly speaks for itself with the amazing quality of the photos he takes. We cannot recommend him enough for any photos you may need and we look forward to using his services again in the future! -

Eric was the ideal package when it came to our wedding day photos. He is punctual, professional, and easy to work with. He has great communication skills that put you at ease on what can otherwise be a stressful day. On top of his professionalism, he produced such great photos in a really efficient manner. His experience and expertise allowed him to lead us and family through what we felt was a thoughtful plan and approach to the whole wedding photo process. My wife and I spent two years planning our wedding, and we were nervous about who would photograph the big day. We ended up going with Eric, and have no regrets at all.
Not only was he a pleasure to be around, but the pictures all have an organic energy that truly captured the magical day in a way that doesn't feel forced or awkward. I don't fully know how he did it, but I'd recommend Eric to anybody for any occasion.

You know, everything about planning a wedding seems a little overwhelming. Having never gotten married before, it was hard even to know where to start. Now that it is over, I have a few things that I would have done differently, but changing my photographer would not be one of those things.
Eric was fantastic, plain and simple. Before our event, we talked a bit about shots my (now) husband and I wanted and ones we wanted to avoid. On the day of, Eric was prompt—he was at the venue before we arrived. He was great at guiding us into poses; he let us have our little moments and did a brilliant job capturing those. Our ceremony was right around sunset, so as it went on, it got dark, and Eric was ready for that.
Having a professional photographer at our wedding allowed us to let go and enjoy one of the biggest days of our lives. We now have gorgeous photos that we can look at forever, and I am beyond grateful that Eric captured our special day. If we ever need a photographer again, it’ll be Eric! -

Choosing the right wedding photographer is critical, and Eric Doolin exceeded all our expectations. From the initial consultation to our engagement pictures, to our wedding weekend, Eric’s professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail were remarkable. Every moment was captured beautifully, from candid shots of guests laughing to the intimate exchange of vows. We don’t know much about photography or what moments are important to capture and we shared our vision with Eric, and he ran with it, and far exceeded our expectations. Eric even had little games to make us laugh for the organic laughing pictures. Eric is one of the most genuine people I know and clearly has a lot of experience and passion for photography and weddings. He was my hype-person when I needed it and it felt like we were really good friends! We already miss Eric. It’s clear Eric wants you to get the most out of your day and is going to do everything possible to make that happen for you. Eric wanted to pull myself (bride) and the groom away from the dance floor for sunset photoshoot, and we thought we wanted to stay and dance but Eric scouted out the perfect spot very close, and we are so glad we went. I find it difficult to articulate the difference between photographers and what sets them apart. But essentially our experience was this: After looking at countless portfolios, we decided undoubtedly on Eric Doolin. His photographs really stood out from the pack, they popped. They had the ultra clean professional and artistic quality we were looking for. After already booking Eric based strictly on his portfolio we later learned that in addition to having over a decade of experience photographing weddings, he holds a bachelor's degree in photography from the Brooks Institute. The combination of Eric's invaluable experience, formal schooling, and natural talent is what sets him above. Eric has a clear vision; and most importantly the ability to bring it to life through his confident yet comfortable coaching and staging. Engagement and wedding photography is one of the most stressful moments in wedding planning. My husband and I had under a year from choosing our venue to plan everything. Photography was the most important element for our event. With that being said, having a tight timeline took the stress to a different level. From the moment Eric reached out to us to plan our engagement photography, we just clicked so well. Even through text he put me at ease and made our special moments magical. The attention to detail was beyond what I expected. We discussed locations, hobbies we might like to include in the pictures, even down to the color of clothing we would be wearing. The day of our engagement photos, Eric very kindly brought us a bottle of champagne to toast at the end of the shoot. When our wedding date was approaching, I heard from Eric very consistently just to ensure our times and expectations were aligned. Perhaps the most wonderful moment Eric gave us was when I asked if he could ensure my husband and I would have a private moment together right after our ceremony before going for pictures and the reception. This couple of minutes were so precious to us. I could write whole detailed essay about how wonderful our entire experience was. But, to keep it short and sweet, Eric is a lifetime photographer. We hope to continue having him take photos as our life progresses and grows. -

Eric photographed our friends' wedding the year prior, so my husband and I got a small look into his energy and style. When it came to choosing for our own wedding, he was a clear winner! Eric shot our engagement photos first. I was so nervous, but after the session, I felt so much relief knowing that we had booked the perfect person. Not only are his photos gorgeous, he is also someone you will really enjoy having around on your big day. I sometimes feel overwhelmed and a little insecure taking photos, but Eric made everyone so comfortable, it felt like we just had an another friend joining us. He perfectly captured the fun and joy that we felt during our wedding, and I know we will cherish these memories forever. Amazing!! You won’t regret hiring.
I found Eric at the OC Wedding expo and fell in love with his work. He was very patient with me in regards to scheduling the engagement photo session. I had multiple family emergencies at the time.
He and his assistant took beautiful photos and got down on the dance floor. They went above and beyond. The assistant was assisting my mother and dance teacher pin the tail up.
The most important detail was finding out that he moved to Oregon and had to fly out to the engagement session/wedding in California. He could have canceled on me and I really do appreciate that he didn’t. I would highly recommend him and his team. -

If you are looking for a wedding photographer, look no further! Eric is thoughtful, prompt, detail oriented, and SOOO talented. I booked Eric nearly 2 years before our wedding. It was February 2020 and our wedding was in September 2021. A month after booking him Covid hit. Luckily, we did not have to move our wedding but I was nervous about it the entire time. Eric constantly reassured me and would check in with me throughout the planning process. He was so kind and I really appreciated his support. We finally met Eric to do our engagement photos about a year out of our wedding. The photos were absolutely amazing and he was such a joy to work with I couldn’t wait for the big day. Finally the wedding day came and Eric was AMAZING. He worked fast, gave great direction and made me feel at ease the entire time. He remembered all the shots I had on my inspiration board and made sure to get them. The most important thing to me and my husband was to not spend too much time during our wedding taking pictures. We wanted to enjoy the day with friends and family. Eric somehow managed to get ALL the photos we could ever want and we barely missed anything. Post wedding - he delivered all assets exactly when he said he would from the sneak peeks to the full collection and album. Weddings are a huge investment for one day of your life and the only thing you have to take away from it are your memories and the pictures. I couldn’t be more lucky to have these photos to look back on for the rest of my life. I promise if you book Eric you will be so happy that you did. 10000000/10! -

AMAZING Photographer
When looking for a wedding photographer in California, I stumbled upon Eric’s Instagram. I absolutely fell in love with his photos. I knew that he was going to be the one who would photograph our wedding! He is such a kind human being. He made my husband and I feel so comfortable in front of the camera. Our wedding photos are the BEST photos we’ve ever received. I’m looking forward to hanging them up on our wall forever! Even though our wedding is over, we will always be friends with Eric! Best Wedding Photographer
Eric has been a pleasure to work without throughout our wedding. My husband and I chose him after we saw his photos that he took for a friend of mine - we loved the way he shot his photos, as his style incorporates a lot of bright lighting and scenic backgrounds. After studying his portfolio and comparing to some other photographers, his style was what captured our eye the most. What really convinced us, however, was his professional and personable character that we could see through our initial conversations with him. He was extremely patient, a listening ear, and loved to hear our thoughts of photo ideas and what we envisioned. I remember that even as COVID hit, Eric remained calm, flexible, and willing to work with our changed plans, which made the wedding planning journey all the more smooth. By our wedding day, Eric was fully planned with locations scoped, timing thought out, and poses saved, which made the experience absolutely pleasurable. On top of that, Eric's photos that finally came out were amazing. He captured the day with all the details of the venue and decorations, the bridal party and family shots, even the funny moments we had with our guests, and of course, to our photos that so beautifully recounted the moment of when we said our "I dos". Our favorite photos that he took were the ones of us after the ceremony with just the two of us - his photos romantically recounted the blissful time between me and my husband right after we got married, with the sunset in full view. Eric is a phenomenal photographer who is very talented in his shooting, directing, and editing skills, but on top of that, he was such a kind, sweet, thoughtful, and professional person, and was a JOY to have him throughout our wedding day. We would highly recommend him to anyone - and many of our friends and family who encountered him on our day was so impressed by him and only had good things to say about Eric! Thank you so much Eric! I have known Eric for a few years now, and it was so special to have him shoot our engagement photos. My fiancé and I aren't ones who enjoy having our photos taken, but Eric made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. You won't go wrong with Eric!!
Working with Eric for our big day was absolutely amazing. Leading up to the wedding day, we met with him and the second photographer to go through photos we liked and didn't like so they could get a feeling for what style we wanted, and potential poses. We did a venue walk through a couple days before the wedding to scope out spots, and Eric did all the work to come up with a game plan for the day of so everything could be smooth-sailing schedule-wise. We provided him a list of family photos and other details that we wanted to capture and he definitely delivered! On the day of the wedding, Eric blew us away - He came prepared with print-outs of poses and shots that he wanted to take based on our feedback, and was amazing at keeping us moving along and making sure we were on schedule. He was able to capture us in our happiest moments without taking too much time "posing" and we absolutely LOVE the way the photos came out! Highly recommend him as a photographer :) -

Eric made our wedding and engagement photo shoot completely stress free. We were a little nervous because this was our first photo shoot ever, but Eric was so reassuring! What made us comfortable was Eric's confidence and experience. He knew exactly how to direct us, and had a lot of great ideas for our most memorable photos. He has a wonderful, easy-going personality and is really easy to talk to.
The photos he took were absolutely incredible. On top of that, he got the photos back to us promptly. He truly cares about his work and it shows! We are so thankful to be able to reminisce on our wedding day through these amazing pictures.

Eric is so amazing to work with on a professional level. I have done over 4 editorial photoshoots with him as a makeup artist. He has an amazing eye to get the shot, and also one of the best editors I know when it comes to really enhancing a photo. Highly recommend to hire him for production, print, or bridal.

I recently worked alongside Eric on a wedding in San Jose, as I was the videographer for the couple that day. I have to say, I've never worked with such a professional, charismatic and thoughtful photographer. Not only was he talented and original in his photographic choices, but he paid such close attention to the details. He was so thoughtful in sharing the creative time with me so that we could both create something really special for the couple. He's just an overall great person to be around. To this day, we still stay in touch. It would be a dream to shoot alongside him for every wedding! -
