DJ Nick - Wedding
Nick was the DJ at our wedding on 6/29/24. He was AWESOME and did an amazing job. He made our wedding everything we wanted and more. We had so many compliments from guests. My husband and I were thrilled that we chose Nick to be the DJ at our wedding. He made everything very easy and met with us prior to the wedding. He also brought a photo booth, which was a HUGE HIT. I HIGHLY recommend him for any wedding and events!

The best DJ!!!
Nick was the perfect DJ for our wedding day! Highly recommend his DJ services. He had great communication the day of and the days leading up to the wedding. He was very organized and detail oriented. He was very professional and did everything he said he would. He was a great announcer during the cocktail hour and ceremony. During our meeting he wanted to know the music we like and what songs we ‘do and don’t’ want to hear at our wedding. He made sure to play all the songs at the right time and made the wedding flow perfectly. Finding a good DJ is a HUGE part of your wedding and I highly recommend Nick. DJs keep the timeline to your wedding flowing and Nick did excellent at that.

Amazing Wedding DJ!
We heard about Nick and Entertainment To Go through a coworker for our January 2024 wedding reception. Hiring him was one of the best decisions we made! I was pretty lost in planning our timeline, but Nick is expereinced and professional and had great recommendations for how to make our reception flow well. He was communicative and helpful, and he checked in several times leading up to the wedding. At the reception, he spoke clearly and was a great emcee to our event. And the dance floor was lively the entire night! I got tons of compliments throughout the night and for days afterwards about how much fun our reception was and how great our DJ was. We are so glad we hired him!

From the initial planning process to the final dance, Nick made sure each and every one of our requests were met and/or exceeded. Nick was amazing he had the party starting and had it going perfectly. His mixes are smooth and he knows just how to get a crowd going. I just had him for my wedding this past Saturday and everyone absolutely loved him and the music he even brought microphones and his own lighting. The lighting was absolutely perfect and he made it match my wedding, theme and colors. He made sure everything went according to just how we wanted.

Nicks attentiveness and professionalism was too notch. Well beyond expectations. His announcements during were clear and procise and also was very engaged in the atmosphere with all the guests. When people started drinking and coming up to him bombarding him with requests he listened and played their songs regardless if they were slow or upbeat making sure they were happy. The photo booth is a huge hit and awesome draw for all the ladies at the party. Will recommend him hands down and will be using him again.

He was attentive and helpful through the whole process! He helped make sure all outdoor ceremony sound was set up and working properly for the harpist, pastor, and for us. (Not an easy task!) During the reception he was great keeping things rolling and doing all the MC. The whole time he was very calm and patient with me, which was very appreciated!! Things never go perfect, but it was priceless and to know Nick had sound and music handled and I didn’t have to be worried about that!!

I can’t say enough good things about him! He was very responsive with any questions or changes I wanted to make. He had some great ideas about the order of things for the wedding and thought things would flow better in a different order and not was he spot on! He was very professional, jokes around with us, and made the wedding a blast. My guests called me and told me that they have never had that much fun at a wedding before and the dj we had was amazing! The other thing I really like is there were parts of the wedding I had no clue what to do as far as songs and he was right there and gave me ideas. Again I can’t say enough good things about him.

Organized, smooth and lively!
My husband and I got married in June and was so happy with our decision to use Nick and Gary! They made our entire day so smooth and seamless. We had a few meetings prior to the day where they really got know us and our styles which helped us also get comfortable with them! They helped us organize our timeline to be what is best from their past experiences and every recommendation was something I hadn't thought of but turned out perfect. Nick also was so fun for our guest' in the photo-booth! They knew how to control where our guests were and needed to be while also fitting the "vibes" of each part of our day with music selection! We had no problem keeping everyone on the dance floor and never wanted our party to stop!! Highly recommend!

I found Nick by attending our friends wedding in 2020. It was by the far the funnest wedding I’ve ever been to because of the music. I knew I had to book Nick for my upcoming wedding, he was the first vendor we booked. Nick fully understood our vibe, which was after 8:30 turn the venue into a club, lol. We had the lights dimmed with up lighting and Nick playing hits after hits. The ambiance and energy in the room was electric. We had just about everyone on the dance floor all night long. Guests I didn’t expect to dance or have a good time, we’re having the time of their life. Our wedding was a few days ago and I’m still getting texts about how fun our wedding was. Nick killed it. Nick was the DJ for our wedding. He was referred by a close friend and I am so glad I went with their company! I was nervous finding a DJ that was somewhat affordable and would created the right vibe I was going for. He exceeded all my expectations!! He was so easy to work with, easy to communicate with, and even came up with ideas that made our reception one of a kind. He gave advice when we asked and helped us to customize the perfect playlist for our wedding and reception. He was professional and fun at the same time and created such an amazing experience for everyone especially my new husband and I. Mike DJ’d our wedding and provided and wonderful selection of music that got all the guests up and dancing. He also was very flexible with song requests and was able to produce a fun atmosphere. He was very comfortable behind the mic directing the guests’ attention to me and my wife when it was time for the formalities (cake cutting, dance, etc.). We also elected to have a photo booth run by Nick at our ceremony where the photo strips produced were fantastic and many guests commended the fun and unique addition to the reception ceremony! Overall, the service provided exceeded our expectations profoundly. I recommend anyone and everyone I know to hire them for the entertainment services they need for their wedding ceremony and reception. Very respectful and reliable!!

We had Mike do our wedding reception and he was so great! Incredible DJ/Photo Booth Combo
Nick and Mike DJ’d and ran their photo both at my wedding on November 3rd. I cannot say enough about how exceptional the experience was. Mike played all of our requested music and dropped in some surprise older “hits” that our entire party loved. Mike knows how to really help the wedding flow and does a great job at managing order his end of things (speeches, music, playing to the crowd). Nick ran the photo booth and it was easily the highlight of the evening. Plenty of props, an easy to use system, and we loved getting copies of all the awesome photos that were taken. This is an easy 1 stop shop for DJ/Photo Booth needs. Can’t recommend them highly enough. Thank you again!!!

You really don't know the value of a good dj until you get to work with one. This is the guy who is going to be interacting with and entertaining your guests, and making sure the time line of events runs smoothly.
Nick did all of that and more. Music, timing, it all was perfect. Ever been to a wedding and just couldn't hear what the dj was saying? Not this guy. His sound set up is legit.
The guests enjoyed the photo booth and getting print outs also. Nick had a guy there running the booth and making sure everything went well. We enjoyed getting a photo guest book of everyone who took pictures for us.

My now husband is the one that suggested hiring Nick. He and Nick went to school together. Nick was able to meet with us very quickly just so I could meet him and talk about our ideas. When it came down to our final meeting with Nick I quickly realized I was not prepared! Lol. Nick really helped us with some song selections and how to keep the reception going. We also got the photo booth and that was a big hit! Everyone loved it! We also did the uplighting for the venue and it looked amazing! Nick is a fantastic, fun, and professional person. He kept the reception going all night! If I ever need a DJ for anything else Entertainment to go will be my first choice!! Thanks for everything Nick!

Nick has been a friend of mine for a while and it was absolutely no question we were going to use Entertainment To Go for our wedding. He was so professional and had so many good recommendations. I was not worried at all about how our reception would flow after spending our time going over everything with him at our final meeting. He was so thorough and made sure we wouldn’t have anything to worry about. The photo booth was a hit with our guests. I absolutely LOVE the look of their photobooth. The uplighting was amazing. I am so happy I went with the color I did. It definitely added so much extra to the room! And of course, our guests loved Nick. He definitely knows how to get the party up and moving! The music was great and everything flowed so smoothly! I can not say enough about him and their services. Can’t imagine using anyone else in the future!

I could not be happier that we decided to go with Nick! He is so flexible, he didn't even get mad about me accidentally standing him up on one appointment! And good spirited! You can tell he loves his job, every time we met he had a smile on his face! We had a blast with him there! He was kind and curteous to all of our guest and very prompt with all of the song requests! I would ABSOLUTELY recommend him to anyone!

Nick was phenomenal to work with!!! We had so many compliments on everything from our wedding, but especially the music! Nick also made great suggestions to help keep the flow of the evening just right! Everything with the photo booth was also a hit! We cannot say enough great things about these guys! We found Entertainment To Go very professional from first contact through contracting. They were excellent about staying in touch with us and asking all the important questions to ensure the event would be flawless. Onsite they again providing high quality service, worked easily with the other elements of the event and provided a rocking party for everyone. Highly recommend them!

We cannot say enough good things about Mike and Nick Shortino and their services. Every request we had was complete with a "no problem at all" attitude from them. They are organized and efficient which makes all of the planning before-hand very smooth. They are honestly a joy to work alongside with. We were able to enjoy our wedding without the stress of worrying about music or keeping guests on the dance floor. Our dance floor was full the entire night - to the point where we had to kick people out!! Their photo booth is also something we've never seen before and fits so many people! Nick even put together a keepsake book for us and had our guests write messages by their photos. There is absolutely no reason to hire anyone but Entertainment To Go for your events. They are the best Kansas City has to offer.

We had a wonderful wedding thanks to Nick! His main goal was for us to have the "perfect wedding" I had a one on one with him prior to the wedding. Nick was fantastic. We had no idea what we were doing when it came to our special day/night. He helped us layout the plan for the night, chose perfect songs, and just kept the evening flowing perfectly. The photo booth was a hit! Nick and Entertainment To Go had all the needed equipment for our wedding, including good sound equipment, photo booths, fog machines, very cool lights, etc. Nick was extremely professional in his line of work, and kept the wedding party a lot of fun. Nick's humor and music list kept everyone's attention to the very end, and that is hard to come by with DJ's. We would definitely recommend his services for your special day.

Nick was fantastic! Communicative and eager to make our day fun and exciting. Nick is an expert in wedding reception planning and gave Michael and I some really great advice. We picked the music video service but his screens didn't work in the space we had for the reception so Nick went above and beyond to obtain a 55in screen TV and a tress tower. His emcee service was lively and fun and he ensured the party flowed and kept on going. I'd recommend him 100% and can't wait to throw another party big enough to warrant DJ services because he'd be the DJ I would hire!

Nick was a fantastic DJ. He was always available to meet at my convenience and my location of choice during the planning process. He was quick to respond if I had any questions and the planning process was a breeze; Entertainment to Go had a planner worksheet for me to fill out as I came up with things like our first dance song, father/daughter dance, etc. It also let me list out details I hadn’t even thought of.. How we wanted the bridal party to be introduced, bouquet toss song, cake cutting song.. All these things were laid out for me, and Nick always went with the flow when I wanted to add things or eliminate things. He provided all the equipment, and even supplied mics for my ceremony musicians. E2G also had a photo booth option you could add to your reception! Their prices were very affordable for what they offered! Nick made sure my ceremony music flowed beautifully and the reception was great! He did so well reading our guests and playing what got them on the dance floor! He teamed up with my photographers to make sure the events of the evening flowed as planned. All of our guests, young and old (even my grandparents!!), danced the night away thanks to Nick and his impeccable skills!

I was given the name of Mike or Nick by a DJ friend who was no longer in the business. And I'm so thankful... using Entertainment to Go was the best recommendation I could have been given. I spoke initially with Mike who was incredible. Flexible, honest and genuinely wanted to help ensure I had a fantastic day with a great DJ. Mike was already booked, so he referred me to Nick who's demeanor was the exact same. As it turns out, months after booking, I realized Nick and I have many mutual Facebook friends and it was easy to tell we were gonna have fun at my wedding. Fun it was, and Nick was nothing short of amazing.
And the most important, critical piece for me.... (a very type A, OCD bride) was the trust, comfort, and the "I got this" feeling I immediately received from Nick. I don't trust easily but immediately after meeting Nick I knew that he had my wedding in complete control. And that he did. A few days prior to the wedding, he called with a microphone recommendation change to ensure my guests could hear everything. The day of the wedding when things got a little off on my planning or timing, he simply came up, made a recommendation and off we went with the change. And when the party began dying off, Nick never left or began packing up. He kept playing for every last guest and every last dancer... He was incredible. Overall, if you're looking for a DJ who's got a great personality AND one that you can put complete trust in, these are your guys!

I've known Nick for years, as we went to high school together. Not only have I been to events he's DJ'd (he's amazing), but he's a friend of mine, so it was a no brainer when it came time to select a DJ for our wedding. He took our ideas and ran with them. I had so many people speak his praises after our wedding. The music was great, people never left the dance floor, and those that wanted to sit and chat, could still do so without having to scream at one another. There was something for everyone's taste, and he made sure to involve the entire guest list, not just those in the "younger crowd". From the minute we got to the reception venue, Nick took the reigns and made the evening flow perfectly. From introductions, to speeches, to first dances, the last dance and everything in between, Nick went above and beyond. I only wish the night could've lasted longer!

The DJ sets the mood of the entire room! We used Nick Shortino for our wedding and so glad we did! He was prompt and sincere while getting everything arranged prior to the big day. He made it effortless for us! He was timely and professional getting everything set up. He was very up-beat, personable, and energized through our entire reception! He nailed all of our requests and song selections.
We even had a mishap and Nick was quick on his feet! When it came time for our mother/son dance my MIL was no where to be found! Nick was awesome! What could have been awkward silence was a fun transition into another '1st dance' with my husband which we LOVED! (no worries.. MIL was soon found picking her fake eyelashes off her cheeks in the bathroom, she was a little emotional)
Bottom line... We highly recommend him!

We worked with Mike, from Entertainment to Go, for our wedding reception and were incredibly pleased. He was very friendly and was very timely when responding to emails. He played music that everyone loved and that everyone could dance to. Our guests never left the dance floor the whole night and we received so many compliments about how fun our reception was. We feel that the DJ determines the mood of the reception and Mike did an excellent job. It was the best reception we've ever been to. We highly recommend him and hope to use his services again in the future.

Mike Shortino is a fantastic and professional DJ. I would recommend him to ANYONE planning a wedding. I (being the bride) was pulled in a thousand different directions the day of the wedding, I talked to Mike briefly before the reception started and gave him an idea of when everything would happen, Toasts, Dances, Etc. . . and everything was PERFECT! He just took what I said and ran with it, he definitely knew what he was doing. I was not worried about a single thing, he was the one vendor I didn't have any issues with whatsoever.... now I just need to plan another party when I could use him again! :)

The music was perfect during the cocktail hour and dinner, and we got many complements from everyone. We had a wide age range at our reception, and I was surprised at how many people of all ages were on the dance floor at all times! There were no frills that you would not want at a wedding, and the variety was spot on for what I imagined! Everyone was sad when the party was over because Mike did such a wonderful job keeping everyone entertained and dancing!

WOW!!! I had a wedding/reception that catered to both Indian and American people, and he managed to entertain the entire crowd. Everyone keeps telling us this was the best night of their lives. The music was amazing and Mike kept everyone so entertained that there wasn't under 15 people on the dance floor at all times. I would hire DJ Mike Shortino again and again! I had no worries with DJ Mike! He kept everything flowing very smoothly especially since he was having to entertain with Bollywood and American music. It was such an amazing night. As the bride, the music and the flow of things couldn't have been anymore perfect. Mike, thank you for making our night perfect!! Mike Shortino of Entertainment to Go make all our wedding dreams a reality. Our vision for the wedding was to have a huge New Years Eve party with all our closest friends and family. We wanted the party to be rocking all night with no breaks in the action! Mike is one of those DJ's who just knows what he is doing, he is a true professional. He listened to everything we wanted and made the party come alive. Mike is not a DJ who likes the sound of his own voice and he sticks to the background, never playing the comedian or talking incessantly. I think choosing a good DJ can really MAKE (or break) your wedding and I could not be more thrilled that we chose Entertainment to Go!

Mike was SOO fantastic. He played music that kept people on the dance floor the ENTIRE night! He listened to what styles of music I wanted to play and avoided music that I hated. He also took a lot of suggestions from my overly excited family. :) Mike really exceeded my expectations in so many ways. Aside from his music selections - his set up was really nice. Mike is awesome. We found Mike through a recommendation that our venue had made, and we're so glad they did! Mike met with us about a month prior to our wedding. He was very genuine and had such a clear understanding of what we did and didn't want, and he exceeded our expectations. The only thing I had asked of him was not to play ANY music from Train, and he never forgot that. He made sure he had our wedding songs, and several were a bit off the beaten path. He was completely professional and made sure to let us know as soon as he got to the venue. He also did the music for our ceremony. His timing was perfect on everything. I walked down the aisle to "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" by Stevie Wonder, and Mike just nailed the delivery and timing on it. Our unity candle song was perfect, and he managed to have the perfect version of the Beatles' "All You Need Is Love" for our guests to exit to.
Mike, we couldn't have done it all without you. Thanks for keeping the party going and for being so aware of everything the night of our wedding. You kept everything flowing and I can honestly say I was stress free!!

Hiring the DJ was probably the vendor I was most nervous for since they have the power to essentially make or break your reception. Mike Shortino did a fantastic job for our reception! One of our main priorities was for our guests to enjoy the party and dance the night away! Mike did a good job keeping the night moving and keeping everyone on the dance floor. We had many compliments from our guests! He was classy and respectful of our plans and tastes. He was on-time, dressed professionally, and wasn't cheesy when speaking on the mic. We provided a few guidelines about what we wanted to hear and a no-play list. Mike did great job building on our ideas! We also asked him to do special intros for our bridal party, and it turned out great.

Mike did an incredible job for us. Played the right songs at the right times and once the dancing started, it didn't stop. Kept the dance floor packed all night long. Highly professional and kept the reception moving right along so guests weren't getting antsy. Awesome, awesome job. Mike played a huge role in making our reception an unforgettable evening, not only for my husband and I, but for all of our friends and family as well.

Mike was very professional but he played the music that everyone requested during the reception but failed to play songs that I had sent in an email that were must plays. Our last few requested songs were never played. We had also given him a cd of songs we wanted played just before the reception and not all of them were played so there was frustration there as well. We didn't have a chance to even say anything to him when the reception was over as he left quickly before we knew it. I wanted a DJ that would help bring more guests to the dance floor but that didn't happen. No country music was played either as I had requested. I would have been just as well off by using my friend who DJ's on the side for much less. Sorry but I wasn't impressed and the more I thought about it the day after, the more frustrated I was.

We got Mike for a good price because of a certain situation but I wanted the DJ to do a better job of pulling people out on the floor and dance. I asked for country music but the stuff that I got was older stuff and I wanted newer more hip country.
