Extremely Professional Company

Empire Events has been nothing but extremely professional throughout the planning phase of our wedding. Despite having to reschedule our wedding date due to COVID-19, They were immediately empathetic, supportive, and flexible while organizing the necessary changes. This company ensures that all details are accounted for with an amazing online organizer and planning system we got to do everything on. You will not be disappointed when contracting them. We booked everything with them, the fireworks for our grand exit outside the doors...the marquee letters with our initials and also a really cool photobooth and of course we can't forget the DJ! They also did our ceremony microphones because...we wanted everything (all 50 guests) to hear us say FINALLY I DO!

Can't Stop Us from Saying I do Covid!

We worked with Jeff and it was perfect. He is professional, fun, has passion for what he does (and is great at it too) He kept our smaller than planned wedding going the whole night and was even able to pivot extremely quickly when my best man decided he wanted to honor us with an impromptu performance(we warned him he might and it was okay). Jeff worked with us to provide the music we wanted and our guests would want. They were responsive to all our emails and messages on the planner system, their portal is super easy and fun, we set up meetings a month out so we felt super at ease! Its awesome and I would highly recommend them. April who handled some office paperwodk and booking is also incredible too so its a great combination of organization and professionalism all around. We REALLY loved the spark machines they offered as well for our first dance and the giant Marquee letters it was a hit! The Photobooth - SocialPOD was fun and we love the pictures that we have of all our guests!

2020 Couldn't stop us!

We LOVED working with Empire! We booked a great special they had going for 2020, we had to move our date to 2021 and they were amazing to work with and moved our payment to 2021 with no problem! They had a great planning system that let us work everything up online, the music, we did a zoom meeting with our DJ to just run over things but that was it...no major long meetings we had to sit thru and everyone at our wedding had a great time we both put some songs in the planner and our DJ did the rest to make sure everything was on point..we had a small wedding party and low guest count of around 30 guests but everything there said it was one of the best weddings they had ever been too...totall intimate and fun! The social pod was SUPER amazing and SO much fun...(if you can be sure to book this!)

Our photos turned out AMAZING! A great package, at one set rate that was affordable and also gave us everything...no hidden fees, we ended up making our own book online from artifact uprising and I think its just as quality as any ive seen..I saved around 1500.00 on this alone....

The team is professional, the quality was great and we had a great experience!

DJ & Ceremony microphones
Lighting for our cake and a few tables and some room lighting
Social Pod(photobooth)
Giant Marquee Letters spelling LOVE
Photography for the day, 6 hours is all we did...
Fireworks for our first dance and sendoff :)

Zach was great

We worked with Zach for the entire process and he helped us with our DJ portion and his other company helped with our photobooth and lighting..it really was a great party and very personal. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Everyone had a great time and the party was something we had put off but are glad that we ended up throwing the party.

Choose the BEST & forget the rest

Zach and his team are amazing. You won't be disappointed. I used Zach for a local event and having him there just made it that much better. I told him the type of music we wanted and he came up with some fantastic music. There was even a social bot. Being able to take selfies with our event printed on them made it even better. What a great way to remember any special event.
All ready planning my events for 2020 and I know for sure Zach and his team will be a part of it.
Take the stress out of you next event and give Zach a call. You won't be disappointed.

Our DJ Made our Party

Zach was amazing and was always professional. Our meetings were very comfortable, fun and he did a great job of keeping the dancefloor full, his lighting was so great and really brought out our florals and fun in the colors he did. We can't say enough about how fantastic he is. He isn't the cheapest so if you are looking for "cheap" its not him but he also is fair in his package options for the amount of work he does before during and even after! We have had three friends ask us for his number from our wedding who are engaged..I know he books up fast too!

Zach Downing Entertainment DJ Was Awesome

Zach and his staff were all so professional, they took the time to really get to know me and all our guests ahead of time. Zach was one of the best DJ's our guests had ever had the pleasure of experiences according to so many for the after wedding breakfast! Such a pro and we are so glad that we hired him. Don't think that the DJ is just a DJ....if you do your wedding will be just another wedding....ours was exceptional...

Highly Recommended over JUST a DJ

Zach was recommended by our venue, wedding planner and photographer. We chose his middle package he put together for us and that included some room uplighting, a great sounding music system and HIM! I think he did a great job, he was easy to talk to, made us both feel very comfortable and also was a great DJ! We also used his photobooth because it was a great deal. We compared a lot of DJ's and MET WITH quite a few so hopefully this will save you some time if that is you..just go with Zach its a great value for his personality, his experience and his talent!

We loved the entire process

We first encountered Duet and Downing Event Group at a friend's wedding. We had such a blast we knew we needed it for ours! The booking process was super simple, and with one package you get everything you need! They work with you to design your custom logo for your pictures and you have several backgrounds to choose from, as well as a ton of props on the day of the event. Every single person who was in the picture also gets a copy, you're not limited to only 2 copies like with other booths. Our guests really enjoyed it The attendant was super nice and helpful as well. Highly recommend their open air booth!

Everyone was fantastic to work with. We had a great time and so did our guests. The lighting and photobooth were just as well done. Our venue recommended working with these guys and so did our photographer and videographer. I am glad we listened to them and it was a great investment in our party!

Dancing all night long

Zach did such a good job for our ceremony. We had been to ALOT of wedding ceremonies we emphasized we wanted all the guests to hear everything. Well he was a total pro and brought the right gear for the right job! We have talked to several guests and checked on how the quality was and all said they heard every word we both said! Nothing is more annoying than bad sound as a guest and it’s something I think a lot of people over look! The party was also just as great! Everyone had a great time during the party.

Fun times had

From First Meeting to Full Dance Floor

We can't begin to say how thankful we are that we found Zach to DJ our wedding .He was personable & easy to work with from first meeting PLUS he did not disappoint the day/night of! Zach was seemless and worked with our planner to make sure our ceremony was perfect, he also was perfect as far as smaller details such as adding some lighting, playing for cocktail hour music and helping to prep our toast givers.

ALSO the dance stayed PACKED from the second he played the first song until our closing song. Our friends and family were having so much fun and I keep hearing people raving about how much fun they had all around.

Zach was the bomb!

We initially didn't even contact Zach but we ended up booking him via his other company because we were on a smaller budget but we were referred to him by a few people...he owns another DJ company and we just clicked and we ended up going with him anyway...he really wanted our party to be great, wanted to know all about us and we just clicked! Our guests enjoyed the night everyone from our of town kept talking not about the CAKE or FLOWERS or ALL THE OTHER STUFF I PUT TONS OF TIME INTO (THANKS GUYS!!) but the DJ that was awesome and how much fun they had! He was NOT cheesy, helped keep the party going and was a total PRO!

Such a fun party

We went with Zach based on referrals from our photographer and also our venue. Zach was so fun to meet with over the phone and then at the other meetings, we had at his office. He helped orchestrate the evening, he kept his promise by NOT playing CHEESY songs and he didn't talk when it wasn't necessary, the times he did were exactly what we spoke about at our meeting and were to help bring the party back together. It was also convenient that he owned a photobooth company(see my other review) and lighting company (again, see other review) so we could book everything in one spot with him. I would recommend him and all of his offerings to help make your party fun!

We just landed for our honeymoon and are taking a break in our hotel but I wanted to be sure to get a few of these reviews done as I know my fellow brides will be searching for a DJ after getting engaged this Christmas or New Years! My advice is to CALL ZACH!! :) He was awesome, so accommodating and talented. We had a pre-christmas wedding as most of our family and friends were in town a few days before Christmas and than we all celebrated Christmas together and got some rest...but at the "after party" over Christmas everyone was talking about how much fun they had....they weren't talking about the food (I mean it was good though) ...they weren't really talking about the venue (which was nice) they were talking about how much FUN they all had!! So to keep from being LONG WINDED....I (we) would advise you to give this dude a call, he is a master at his craft and you will not be disappointed!!

Brad and I had a fantastic time at our reception..my parents actually booked Zach while we were both away at college, we had a few phone calls and Zach also setup a skype video meeting with us both so that we really didn't feel like we had been hundreds of miles away planning with him. The day of our reception after the ceremony we arrived and things went off exactly as we had talked about, we didn't have to lift a finger, my friends even told me they wished they had hired him over their DJ choice..I know he was a little more high end than other "basic DJ's" but my parents felt it was a great investment in the success of everything else we had planned. I would personally highly recommend working with Zach

Zach was awesome from beginning to end. We wanted a magical evening of fun, elegance and nothing cheesy or that 'DJ Voice' that you hear at ALL the weddings (we have been to a ton in Tulsa) our photographer recommended we call Zach(Hey don't they seem like the best source of seeing the good, bad and ugly?) so we met with him at his office (he actually has a real office) and he didn't even ask us to sign on the spot, we left he emailed us some options based on that meeting and didn't call and bug us until we got back in touch (as soon as we got the info ) and booked him. (we also had to tell two other harassing DJ companies to STOP CALLING US three times that were still contacting us we had never met with but we "had won" a special at a wedding show we signed up for.....that we never even attended).....anyway he was also just as awesome at our ceremony, his ceremony equipment was TOP NOTCH, even our officiant was impressed with his high end stuff...the reception was also just as fun as we had imagined....our family, friends even our grandparents stayed until the very end and were on the floor...nothing cheesy was done, we laughed, we cried, we celebrated and Zach knocked it outta the park!

If you want to wow your wedding guests and highlight the special features of your special day, LIGHTING IS KEY!!! Empire lighting is a one stop shop for all lighting and special effects from confetti canons to pin spot lighting to uplights, sounds , etc and their work is amazing!!!

Our guests as well as us had such a great time! It was the only time my matron of honor(who has been a bridal party member in many weddings) said she actually felt like a guest! :-)

Zach and his entire staff were professional, fun and NOT cheesy at all! (One of my prerequisites for my DJ) he was organized, experienced and we felt like a friend along the entire planning process and not just a customer.

Hire Zach Downing Wedding DJ if you truly want a first class wedding reception.

(He also provided our ceremony music, microphones, sound and music for us which was also perfect...)

We chose to have Zach be our Master of Cermonies and our DJ for our wedding in February. He was so easy to work with from beginning to end. We had met with a few other DJs who were quick to try to get us to book "on the spot" and we really felt uneasy with them...when we met with Zach he was so laid back, so professional, had a real office to meet with us in and so many references from other wedding pros. We had so many compliments about our reception from guests(still getting them) saying how much fun they had, so many great memories. All I vandal is that if you want just a DJ he is much more than that, don't be fooled by others saying they have the experience he does( we actually had one DJ compare himself to Zach at a meeting) but we had an uneasy feeling and that DJ actually did a friend of ours wedding and it was far from the same, we actually left early because it was so awkward) ..I digress! Anyway, Zach was again, awesome and you won't regret it!

John Willever is a true professional at his craft. He assisted in every step to make this a most memorable event in our lives. I would HIGHLY recommend you use John for any event that requires a master of ceremony.

John made our wedding absolutely PERFECT. My husband and I were so busy with all the little wedding details, we weren't totally sure exactly which songs we wanted, but we knew we wanted a certain "feel." John did an amazing job reading the crowd and keeping everyone on the dance floor! It was a family friendly environment and was so great to not have to fret about each individual song - he just knew what would work! We could not have had a better DJ or rave about him enough! The atmosphere at our wedding was entirely set by John and it was everything we could have imagined and more. John is the best!

Our daughter's wedding was Sept. 3, 2016. John was absolutely wonderful!!! He was totally involved with the wedding coordinator, and the layout of the wedding, as well as the rehearsal dinner. He kept the reception moving the entire time. His enthusiasm and excitement was felt by everyone. Guests are still commenting on how wonderful John was, and how much fun they had at the wedding. I would and will highly recommend him for any event where a DJ is needed.

Very simply - THE best. DJ Express isn't just a DJ. He's an overall party professional. I have used him for large community events, at my business, and at my niece's wedding. He always goes above and beyond. Crowd interaction is so important and he delivers!

Zach was very professional and made my husband and I feel comfortable. He asked all of the right questions, he knew exactly what we wanted and exactly what he was talking about. During the wedding he did an excellent job during cocktail hour, during the ceremony and during the reception. He kept the party going. The guest were trying to take the table and chairs down and Zach made sure the party kept going. He's an excellent MC and played some awesome music!

Zach did a great job. What my fience and I really enjoyed was the fact he didn't try to sell us on all kinds of things like EVERY other DJ we spoke with did(EVERY ONE) he focused on what we wanted and envisioned for the DJ & Emcee portion of our wedding. A true professional and a tremendous investment in our ceremony & reception.

DJ/lighting/draping/photobooth:
Zach Downing is a man of many talents. He coordinated and arranged for our lighting, draping, photobooth, and served as a DJ during both the ceremony and reception. He did a superb job at all of his tasks. The lighting and draping looked wonderful! We draped one wall with colored fabric and had some interesting shades of light on that. We did custom lighting (vintage lights) over the dance floor, which truly impressed the guests. We just did a simple photobooth and everyone loved the props and humorous pics. They made a scrapbook as guests were doing the pics so the could also sign the scrapbook with the picture. Zach custom-designed the photobooth template so it matched perfectly with our color scheme and wedding theme. He did a terrific job at getting the audience involved. I told him specifically early on that I didn’t think many of my guests would dance, except perhaps the children. I was wrong—all of my guests were dancing, including my 92 year-old grandmother with her walker and my 94 year-old great aunt, and 89 year-old niece. Pretty impressive for them as well as for the DJ!

Zach went above and beyond to make sure our wedding reception was fabulous. Our guests all had such a great time and we got so many compliments on the music and energy of our dance party! He was very professional and I didn't feel the need to be in charge of too much because Zach really takes care of everything!

I knew Zach wasn't the cheapest DJ around but friends of mine in the wedding industry had a lot of great things to say about him so I booked a meeting. I loved his attitude and desire to make my event unique and represent my husband and I as well as our family and friends. He wanted to know about the theme, the events that would take place that evening, and honestly more details than the day of planner! Not only did this make me feel at ease, but he became an integral part in the planning process that I truly appreciated. We met a few times and every time he had great ideas and I felt like he really cared about my husband and I and wanted to make our evening unforgettable. Man did he deliver! I went to MANY weddings the year leading up to ours and each and every time I felt like the DJ took away or even killed the evening. Not ours! Everyone danced the night away all the way till the clock struck New Year's Eve and the dance floor was never empty. Zach knew exactly what to play to keep all of the age groups who attended having a great time. It was magical and I'm so grateful that Zach was a part of it. I wanted to use him for lighting as well, but I ended up going with a different company who got back to me a little quicker. I've seen what he does at other people's weddings though, and it looks like they do a great job and really have a grasp on the unique needs for lighting at a wedding. I would highly recommend him to a bride who wants a DJ who really cares and knows what he's doing.

Zach was so great to work with, we booked him about 2 years in advance as he also helped my sister with her reception. The first meeting was casual, the following meetings were informative and the reception was everything we ever dreamed it would be. I am a little spoiled now, my friends have used "other DJ's" and I just can't say their receptions are as "fun" while nice its more about the flow, the process and the personality that is Zach Downing. My review and suggestion if you are reading this is to setup a meeting, talk with him and if you will see what I wrote! - Congrats to future couples and book a true entertainment professional and skip the ordinary DJ's with cheesy sales pitches.....

We really enjoyed working with Zach - he was very personable and considerate in wanting to create the atmosphere that we wanted for our daughter's wedding reception. He was punctual, professional, and so approachable in doing whatever we needed to make the reception a success and we received many compliments on his work from our guests! Zach and his team were nothing short of amazing. Not only were they so easy to work with, they went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly and we were stress free. Zach did a wonderful job transitioning the whole night and there was not a moment when the dance floor was empty. They also provided the photobooth and did such a great job keeping everything together. I just want to thank them again for making our day so perfect. We were recommend them fom our venue and we would be sure to recommend them to anyone who wants to make sure their guests have the BEST time.

We had been to quite a few weddings over the summer and Zach was by FAR the best DJ that we've seen! He was there whenever we needed to meet or speak with him, always kept us in the loop, and kept our dance floor packed the ENTIRE night! His energy, talent, and great music is what made our wedding so fun! My husband and I will definitely be recommending Zach along with the entire crew at ZDP to all of our friends, engaged or not! Zach Downing is much more the a DJ. Its a given the music was great and I (and my guests) couldn't stop dancing all night but the lighting they set up for us made my wedding stand out and really had the reception have the right mood) On top of all that they went out of their way for the us to make sure the timing of the evening was just right and just the way we wanted. No ordinary DJ does that! I even had friends comment to me wedding night" is that your event coordinator?" I'm like no, that’s my DJ and I'm so grateful for that. So thank you Zach for the best wedding ever!!!!

Zach Downing was our DJ and he was simply amazing! Zach setup lighting in our reception and in both our cocktail hour areas (which is also where the after party was) and the main ballroom was simply beautiful. It felt like we were in a fun nightclub, which was the exact experience my husband and I were trying to create. Our friends and family kept coming up to use saying it was the best time they had ever experienced at a wedding. I did NOT want traditional wedding music--no September, YMCA, Group Dances etc. as I knew most of my guests would not either…I wanted the music to stay current, fresh, and fun with a few solid throwbacks..he executed them solidly. Zach and his team did an amazing job He was simply phenomenal and took care of all of our requests and needs!

Zach Downing was perfect. He has a ton of experience with weddings so he gave us advice on what works best and what guests like while also making accommodations for our requests. During the reception, if things would start to die down he also found a way to get everyone back on the dance floor and the party going again. And he played every strange request we had at the end of the night making our day absolutely perfect!

Zach was so great, we felt so at ease with him from the first meeting we had, he was professional, helped us create "not just another wedding reception" and also really had the dance floor packed all night. I was REALLY impressed at our first meeting at HOW MUCH he really would help keep our party going. We didn't hire a wedding planner and I had thought I would have to take care of keeping the night going. He has been doing this for 15 years and let me tell you HE KNOWS how to keep a party going even before the music started! My mom keeps talking about how she's never been to a reception where she actually felt like she was a GUEST!! (shes the im in charge kinda gal!) but Zach insisted that she grab a drink, hang out and enjoy her daughters(me!) party...and she did(we have the photos to prove it!!) We also used him for our lighting via his lighting company (EMPIRE) and his photobooth (DUET) which really helped us keep everything consolidated and all were a big hit!! I can't thank you enough ZACH! and if you are considering a DJ, there are ALOT of cheap DJ's out there, but Zach is worth that extra investment if for nothing else but keeping you sane! (and getting amazing photos of a packed floor!)!! Thanks again ZACH!!

Our DJ was Jesse Barnes. He was amazing! We had 2 meetings with him and he nailed our music style for our wedding. The value was appropriate and he went above and beyond to make our day extra special by customizing even in the day of! I would highly recommended this vendor for your special day.

we enjoyed working with with Zach, we met with a few DJ's at a wedding show but really didn't like any of them, when we spoke to our wedding coordinator about our concerns she advised that we should contact Zach and meet with him, when we did it was an instant match! We invested a little more in him but in the end it was worth it, I can honestly say that I haven't had more raves about our reception than how much FUN people had! My advice to potential brides and grooms who are looking for quality entertainment is skip the "big box" DJ companies who try to book you low and than upsell you a thousand different things and get the nuts and bolts which will really impact the outcome of your investment in this once in a lifetime day with a true entertainer! Give him a call, meet with him, you wont regret it!

We chose to work with Zach after many referrals. We met with him at his office and he designed a package customized to what we were looking for, it was also a great chance for us to be able to really listen and for him to listen to us about what we were looking for in not finding "just a DJ"...Zach was our DJ and what a great choice he was! He was awesome. He got the all of our guests dancing...and I mean dancing until the last song and he didn't play any of the "typical" wedding songs you hear at every single wedding which was awesome. I do not think they dance floor was every empty and everyone said it was an amazing party and how thankful they were we invited them(bonus!).

Zach was very flexible in the meeting times at his office and he even came to our venue, it was such a great change from a few other "DJ" companies who really just called us over and over and tried really hard to just get us to book over the phone...He was very respectful to us, our parents the bridal party and guests. We are so happy with our choice and would highly recommend Zach and his company!

Hiring a DJ was the scariest part of the wedding planning, there's not really any way to experience the DJ ahead of time. But trust me – meet with Zach!!! He was so great from our very first meeting which we did via a really cool SKYPE session that help me and my fiancé “get to know him”. I told Zach that I didn't have a wedding planner, he suggested a few great ones to me but I just didn’t ever end up hiring one, but he really ended up helping me to run the reception the entire night. I didn't worry once about when certain things like the bouquet toss, etc. would happen and most importantly my family, friends and bridal party all felt like a guest and had ZERO responsibility or “jobs” at the reception, because I knew Zach and our venue contact would handle those things as a team.

Every guest, family member and even my photographer have told me SEVERAL times what a FUN party my reception was and some have even texted and called me to ask me “who was your DJ he ROCKED!” INSURE that your reception will be so non-stressful and so FUN call and hire Zach! There are so many DJ’s out there that they all MIGHT seem to be the same, but one thing I never thought about when planning, was think OUTSIDE of just music, its so much more and if you work with a great team you will have a great reception!

I was lucky enough to have Empire help with some of the lighting needs for my beautiful wedding, if you have not seen their "Cheers" sign you need to check it out! What can I say? I've already booked Zach again for our next Corporate Christmas Party! Everyone loved the music he played, as well as the quick games he selected to get everyone up on the dance floor. But the most important part for me was that with planning the party, keeping things moving along that night and working with the venue staff, Zach asked for a schedule of planned events during the evening (raffles, speeches, etc.) and kept true to the schedule! Which was exactly what I needed with being distracted with other things going on that evening. Thank you, Zach and we look forward to having you at our Christmas Party in 2015!

Oh! And if Zach suggests lights for your event ... go for it. They were fantastic and set the mood for the evening!

When my fiance and I first met with Zach, we both knew it was going to be a good match. He's is very laid back and yet you can still tell he's an expert at what he does. His process for everything that really and truly work and he made sure that everyone at our event had a fantastic time. We even managed to get my dad out on the dance floor I never thought would happen!

He made everything absolutely perfect for the ceremony and the reception. I can't again say enough good things and we were and STILL ARE so glad we chose to hire the quality that Zach brought to the table.

DJ Karl was a great! He was always quick to call me back and graciously played all of the songs we requested! He even intervened in a situation where an unruly guest was insistent on playing songs that we hated( turned down a cash bribe!). He took care of setup and made sure the party had a good flow. OH... MAH... GAWD!!! DJ Express is THE BEST.

Before I say anything else, make sure to book the Photo Booth... Just do it. It's worth every dime!

Jesse was incredible! We sat down with Jesse with DJ Express a few months before our wedding. He listened to our ideas, had TONS of great ideas himself to make sure that the reception flowed well. When we originally met with him, he was incredibly nice, and both my wife and I could tell he was genuinely listening to us. A few days before the wedding we met with him again, and he was able to calm down my nerves, and gave us confidence that our wedding was gonna be great.

When the day came, IT WAS INCREDIBLE!!! Jesse played the soundtrack to the best day of our lives. He was energetic without being corny. He made sure my wife and I were always comfortable, and even put up with my demanding friends and family. I cannot say enough about how great he was to work with. The photobooth was awesome. DJ Express provided a photo book, and everyone who took a picture put their photo in the book and wrote something on it. It is one of the best things about the wedding!!

I would recommend DJ Express for your wedding, anniversary, birthday, brisk, whatever! They are the best... They don't make you feel like you're just another job, but like you're part of their family.

Zach’s professionalism put my fiancé and I at ease from the start. He kept appointments and put up with changes on our end. He was able to pinpoint what was most important to us (tactful, classy but fun) and carry it out perfectly. He was sensitive to our group of people and used the on-the-spot feedback to create a very appropriate atmosphere – which was no easy feat because of my fairly conservative family. His equipment is top notch and his DJ skills very impressive. I’ve never heard such a smooth DJ in my life. Worth every penny! Many in my family talked about it for weeks. What can we say! Zach rocked the house! I really can't say good things about Zach, if you know "love languages" I would have to say this affirmation is that he truly loves what he does!! He really did help make it the most perfect night o our lives! Flawless, executed perfectly and at the brunch the day after our party everyone was still talking about how much fun they had! This was our dream wedding we invested heavily in getting the perfect team to make it just that, Zach is a blast to work with and I couldn't have found a better Emcee/DJ. Zach did a great job at our wedding and reception. We didn't want to necessarily do all the traditions at our reception and he had great ideas about alternatives to the bouquet toss that would get our guests on the dance floor - and they worked! He got the timing of the music for our ceremony down perfectly and played all the music on our must-have list. That made the event fun for us. He also incorporated a good mix of additional songs that people enjoyed. That made the event fun for our guests. All goals met! My only disappointment was the photo booth prints. He designed an awesome postcard for our guests to take with them. The version we actually had at the reception had the same info - just wasn't formatted as awesome as his design!

Our guests have consistently shared how much they have enjoyed each celebration. We know guests travel from all over, they invest their time, lives and finances to be with us, we really want to show them the best party they can come to.

Zach also had his company assist us this time with some fantastic additions, the photobooth that they offered was a tremendous value we loved seeing all the photos that our guests took at the event.

Also they helped us (again) with some fantastic lighting, the classic bistro outdoor lighting, the amber hues, the light pinks really helped transform our venue.

Zach was truly amazing, we felt so at ease after meeting with him at his office, we booked the day we got the quote. It was really great actually feeling like he was part of our team and not just "another vendor" he helped us prepare our family and bridal party in the weeks leading up to the wedding day by giving me little "tips" on making them help kick the party off and it was great because just as he suggested it did!!! I have gotten so many compliments on the ceremony and everything but people keep raving about the PARTY!

If you are just looking for a DJ and just want an average party don't hire Zach, his skills, expertise, experience and all around helpful planning tips will take your party WAY beyond what "just a DJ" can do. We also loved how all his companies worked together, photo booth(duet), lighting(empire)
So while we were dealing with separate companies it didn't feel like it and we didn't have to talk to different people leading upto the wedding day.

A DJ can make or break a wedding reception and Jesse Beims is the way to go! He acted and dressed very professional. I would absolutely recommend him!

We had Jesse for our DJ and we had an amazing time at our reception! He worked personally with us to make sure we had the event catered to us which we loved! He also kept the reception flowing and worked great with our guest. Thank you again Jesse!!

Lighting Makes the Event! It creates mood, ambiance, and blends all the other elements such as florals, linens, interior walls, etc. together very nicely. You've spent so much time and money on every other element, but don't forget the LIGHTING! Zach and his team were great to work with. No hard sells; they just want to help you have a wonderful event. We had an event at the Sky Loft in downtown Tulsa and this space has very little lighting. Empire Lighting Design did such an amazing job highlighting the architecture of the space and providing some great accent lighting for our carnival themed party. The color selection they suggested couldn't have been more spot on! I would recommend them for an event any day!

DJ Express was great, The did my ceremony sound as well as the reception. They really made the whole process of planning the day very easy with the online planner. It had tools that helped me know what to expect. When we met with Jesse before the wedding he was great at giving ideas to make sure the reception was fun. He showed up early on the day of and was ready to go just as we planned. He met and exceeded all of our expectations and really helped make our wedding day great!. Jesse B and DJ Express are the best DJ service in town hands down! Thanks guys!

We had a fantastic experience with DJ Express. Jesse B. was very fun and professional. He played great music and did and awesome job of keeping our guest engaged and excited without being cheesy. He was a wonderful host and never talked over the music. He mixed the songs together the entire night so it seemed like the dance floor was packed right up to the last song. We were so happy with his services and recommend him to anyone who wants a great service!

Jesse B at Dj express was very professional. They catered the music to my needs but also added song to make the party great fun. We had a great time dancing all night . Zach was fantastic, we really enjoyed the personal consultations that he offered. When we were searching for a "DJ" we really thought that it would be somebody standing up playing music and making a few announcements, at least that is what all my friends ever had at their wedding. When we called Zach he offered to setup a meeting in his office, after that meeting we really understood how much of a difference hiring someone who would get to know us personally, spend the time to really try to make our reception different.

The day of our wedding he and his staff were on time, they setup everything early, our hotel actually commented on how professional he and his staff were to us that day.

If you are looking for just a DJ I think that he has another company he owns that offers that, but we wanted to invest in more than just a DJ, which is what we got. We did pay much more for his services than a few other places were offering but we felt it would be a good investment keeping out guests in mind and their investment in getting to our wedding, as well as the success of the evening, which it was. He was also HIGHLY recommended by MANY of our other vendors that we were using. We also ended up booking his Photo Booth company Duet Photo Booth (which was a huge hit and he also hooked us up with his lighting company Empire Lighting, he gave us a pretty sweet discount for using both companies!

Jesse was a great DJ for me and my wife's wedding! He arrived with plenty of time to setup and his equipment was very professional and looked great! My wife and I had written up a playlist with times we wanted particular songs to be played but the day of the wedding everything changed because of the lighting for the photographer and we had to make Jesse change the playlist on the spot. He handled it great, professionally and was very understanding. He did a great job and he had great communication during the planning and on the day of the wedding.

We had awesome lighting inside our venue and outside. Zach did all the planning for us and helped us along the way. It really made everything important stand out. The DJ was amazing and had all our guests dancing all night!

Zach Downing did our wedding reception, and did a fantastic job. He was extreamly professional and alot of fun to work with. His group also did the lighting at our venu, and it was beautiful. We also got a good deal to get the photobooth as well, all were better than we could have imagined. We had a late meeting with him due to us living out of town prior to the wedding, but it was very helpful and informative. He actually customizes your wedding reception, and tries to get to know your personality to help fufil your wants. Not the tipical dj that demands all attention on himself with cheesey dances and one liners, but great at what he does and mixing the music the way he does. He had a great way of keeping the mood and party going, and we danced all night long! I would say from experience with other DJ's he was hands down the best we have both ever come in counter with. If you want something fresh and fun, hire this DJ and also think about the other things his company offers!

Zach made my reception a total hit! He not only provided the perfect lighting and music, but he truly made the party! My husband and I didn't have to worry about any of the details, Zach took care of them. He made sure that we were worry-free and could just enjoy our night. He went above and beyond what we expected. We still hear from friends and family saying our reception was the best they've ever attended because of how much fun Zach made it. He provided excellent service and we could not have been happier!
