Empire Cake was a delicious addition to our wedding day! We went with Raspberry Lemon- it was so yummy, and we kept the design beautifully simplistic so it would be the perfect backdrop to add fresh flowers from our florist. The Empire team so helpful and communicative throughout the planning process. Shout out to Bonnie, who was our main point of contact. Highly recommend Empire for any of your cake needs! -

When we were deciding on a wedding cake vendor for our 200-person wedding, we chose Empire Cakes given their many years of experience…and we’re so happy we did! The cake they delivered was not only more beautiful as expected, but even more delicious than what we tasted during the cake tasting! Empire is definitely the way to go if you’re having a large wedding and want to make sure the big cake lives up to the hype. -

Everything we asked for and more!
The cake was gorgeous and looked so much like the photo we submitted. Empire Cake made everything easy from the tasting box to delivery. We couldn't decide which flavor we liked best--so we chose three; a different one for each tier of our cake. Empire Cake was highly professional and a delight to work with. -

Delicious cake and awesome service!
Empire Cake's Dulce de Leche cake was DELICIOUS! My guests loved it. I had a very small wedding and found the pricing to be very affordable compared to other vendors in NYC. I chose to go with a simple design because I had a very minimalistic wedding, but the cake still came out beautiful. Also, I completely messed up and gave them the wrong delivery date! We caught this the night before the wedding and they were able to still accommodate me. They really saved the day. -

From tasting to design to delivery, Empire Cake was outstanding! We ordered the Liz Lemon -- creme fraiche cake with lemon curd and black current buttercream -- covered in white buttercream and decorated with fresh flowers to match our decor. Everyone at our wedding loved it! Drew and team were friendly and easy to work with, and helped to make our wedding day extra special. -

We got a raspberry lemon cake for our wedding and it was absolutely delicious and beautiful despite its simplicity!! Drew was super easy to work with and helped us work with their delivery crew to figure out a time that worked for our vendor to receive the cake for our night-time wedding. He also reached out to me before putting our topper on the cake to let us decide how we wanted the topper to get affixed to the cake in the event that we wanted to keep it after the wedding. We sampled a few cake options and they were all so yummy, so I don't think you can go wrong with anything you select from Empire. I look forward to ordering from them again in the future. -

Empire Cakes was absolutely amazing! They create a masterpiece that was very untraditional for a wedding cake and our guests raved about it. The Very Vanilla is delicious and Jason and his team were amazingly professional, on-time and a pleasure to work with. I HIGHLY recommend using Empire Cakes for your wedding cake! -

We chose New York as our destination wedding, originally an elopement, that in the end turned into a mini wedding with six of our closest friends and family. Even though it was a small affair, we didn't want to miss out on the chance of having a wedding cake. After hunting for a while online, reading many reviews, we emailed Empire Cakes. We could not have made a better choice!! From start to finish they were friendly and easy to deal with, they offered ideas and suggestions but also listened to exactly what we wanted. We collected it the day before our wedding, and the hotel kindly stored it in the fridge over night for us. It was the best way to finish off the day. We had everyone back to our hotel room, and we even borrowed a knife to get that "cutting the cake" picture. The cake was one of the best we've ever eaten! It makes me sad that we live so far away. We had raspberry and lemon fillings, I don't think I could choose between the two if I had to pick a favourite, and it looked exactly how we wanted it to. We still have the decorations from the top, somehow, we got them back to Scotland without any damage. -

Suzanne Sent on 10/12/2018We had the most amazing desserts and wedding cake courtesy of Empire Cake! The black and white cookies were GONE minutes later - the caterer had never seen desserts disappear so quickly. They told me usually no one touches the desserts after their cocktail hour/ dinner. But Empire Cake is THAT good. I surprised my husband-to-be with a beautiful grooms cake, flavored with hazelnut praline. Our spectacular wedding cake was three flavors - hazelnut, cake suzette and black forest. Several friends have gone back to Empire for their amazing cupcakes to have the taste again!

Stephen Sent on 06/27/2018Empire Cake created the custom cake design I've created to a T.
From what was a sketch in Adobe Illustrator, it became a reality. We added our own custom cake topper but everything else was done by Empire Cake.
Not only was the cake design on point, the flavors were utterly delicious. We had a cake tasting of 6 different flavors and decided on Liz Lemon and Coconut Cloud, which our guests utterly enjoyed.
We had 148 guests, ordered a cake (6" top tier, 8" bottom tier with additional sheet cake) for 100 people and still had some left.
Following the wedding, I went back to get cupcakes of the same flavors to remind us of our special day and cake.
Thanks Empire for our wonderful custom wedding cake! -

Ashley Sent on 10/23/2017Mel was absolutely amazing. We had a very, very quick timeline to get everything done and Empire cakes was perfect. We started off with a cake tasting and had some of the best cakes that I've ever had in my life (and I don't even like cake). After the tasting, Mel sat down with us to find a way to work our budget with our design preferences. She responded to every email and phone call quickly and pulled everything together to bring us the best cake. I cannot recommend Empire Cakes enough. Our cake was a hit and stole the show! If you're ever in NYC and they're an option for you to stop by, be sure to try the Mott Street Cannoli cake or Salted Caramel Cakes!

Lacey Sent on 04/17/2015We chose Empire Cake to do our wedding cake because it is one of our favorite bakeries in the city. We also had them create our favors, which were assorted muffins each in their own individual box.
We worked with Jessica who was friendly, helpful, and extremely patient. She worked with me for quite a while through various sketches in order to get exactly what we wanted.
Empire Cake did a great job and we will continue to use them for all our post-wedding bakery needs. -

Daniela Sent on 08/05/2015We ordered our wedding cake from here. I was worried that buttercup am would turn into a hot mess during our August wedding. Empire made sure it was perfect. The colors were exactly as we wanted along with the flowers. The flowers were so pretty and delicate. The cake itself was so yummy. It was moist and sweet, but not too much. I enjoyed it very much and my guests did too.
