Amazing photographer

My wife and I got married at the Royal Kona Resort in January 2020.
Our photographer was Ranae with EMotion Galleries-she was so attentive to us and the types of pictures we wanted. Ranae has so much great experience to bring to photography. If you are looking for a photographer of any kind in the Kona area I recommend Ranae!

Best photographer of all time!

Hawaii means so much to my husband and I. He grew up there and we wanted to find a photographer that could capture our big day in a cherished place. I had no idea how to go about finding the perfect photographer. Ranae was brought to my attention by my wedding planner. I am so glad we found her! Ranae was absolutely amazing to work with! She was very professional and so much fun! My young niece kept wanting to help and Ranae put her to the task! When my husband and I looked at our photos we fell in love with them! I sent a single photo to my family to preview and they immediately started telling me how amazing Ranae was. I can't recommend her enough, for all my future events in Hawaii I know I will be booking Emotion Galleries! Thank you for all your hard work Ranae! Much love from the Kobayashi family!

Above and beyond expectations

My husband and I booked Ranae through our resort for our wedding photography while we were in the planning phase. On the day of the wedding, Ranae arrived on time, and ready to work. She was great to work with and got a multitude of different shots. She did everything she could to get the perfect shot, including laying down in the grass. I absolutely can't wait to see the finished product. The couple of photos she showed us were stunning!

This couple was amazing ! They made sure we had the most amazing pictures .. she is so nice and her husband there skills are amazing !! They took our pictures with the sea turtles and beautiful views at the lava lava beach club .. she even helped with people to marry us and decoration suggestions ! She also had us come
To her house and pick photos just so inviting a genuine lady who really wanted us to have great memories !! I would highly suggest her !!!

Ranae of Emotion galleries did the photography for our wedding and was absolutely INCREDIBLE! We originally only signed up for the base package as I was leary of using a photographer I had never met and that was just included in our wedding package, but half way through the wedding we were SO impressed that we asked her to add more which she willingly did. Our photos turned out beautiful and we have them hanging all over our house. Her creativity captured what will always be remembered as the perfect day! Thank you Ranae!

We could not have asked for better photos or a better photographer to capture our wedding. We received them in a timely manner and the photos set to music brought tears to both of our eyes. You cannot go wrong with booking Ranae.

Still married! And still thankful for gorgeous pictures!!! The most awesome pictures I or my husband have ever had taken of us. Ranae was exactly what we needed for our wedding photographer. We didn't really have any idea of poses and all of her suggestions were great. Book her!! Ranae loves what she does and loves working with her clients to get the most incredible photos. My husband and I recently traveled to Hawaii for a babymoon and booked Ranae for our maternity shoot. She was professional, interactive and went above and beyond to get the most amazing photos. We had a call before the shoot to discuss what we were looking for, attire, style, etc. and to get to know one another. I had talked to a few photographers on the island and she came across as the expert that I wanted taking our photos. She worked with us longer than we had booked her for and was able to put together a sneak peak within 24 hrs for us before we left the island. Having just seen all of our gorgeous photos I'm over the moon! Book her. You'll be happy you did.

Ranae was an amazing photographer. It took me a long time to decide who I would want to use as a photographer, but I am so happy I went with Ranae. From the minute I saw her page, I fell in love with the quality and the color of her pictures. She had very vibrant beautiful photos. Once I was trying to decide who I was going to choose, Ranae was the only photographer that actually called to get to know me and what I was looking for even before I had booked her. I knew she was the one I needed to have to shoot these photos that I would have for the rest of my life. She was such a pleasure to work with on the day of. Planning a destination wedding while going to school is stressful! My school and work schedule were so strict. Therefore the planning around school was even worse. But Michael and I fell in love with Ranae’s work from the moment we saw it. I quickly asked our coordinator to book her. She was a MUST have. Rather than Ranae just accepting our coordinator’s booking, she actually called me (even though there’s a three hour time difference) to ask why we were reserving her. She wanted to make sure that she could provide us with the best for our most special day and meet all of our needs! She was so sweet, wonderful, funny, and professional from that very first call. She wasn’t intrusive and made everything easy. The photography hours flew by! Michael and I didn’t do a first look and so she helped coordinate our itinerary to perfectly match the sunset photos that we really wanted! She suggested a few poses that Michael and I absolutely love. Her and her husband, Duncan, are an amazing team! Michael and I have looked through our link for our photos three times already and can’t decide on which ones we love the most! We love them all. Ranae is truly an artist and her work is absolutely second to none! I highly highly encourage anyone that is unsure to talk with her and then you’ll see that she can capture your memories in such a special way that you’ll have them forever. Among all our vendors she was an A++++!! Almost all of them could learn from her and her husband. Thank you so much Ranae. Our photos mean the world to us.

I booked a wedding package through the Royal Kona Resort, and Ranae was one of the choices of photographers available. All it took was one quick look at her photos in her portfolio, and I was already in love. To me the photos were the most important part of the day, as I will be looking at them for years to come. She made me look beautiful, my guests looked wonderful, and of course my groom looked so handsome. I couldn't ask for anything better! Although I do regret I didn't pay to keep her there longer! Even my sister was lamenting that she wished she had had Ranae for her wedding! Needless to say, I'll be recommending her right and left, as well as planning on using her in the future!!! Ranae Keane from Emotion Galleries was so fun to work with. She went above and beyond the call of duty. Ranae was never pushy and worked with my budget. She captured some of the most incredible sky lines. We got married on Tuesday and by Friday we were in her office reviewing the photos. She made us a slide show with music in the back ground. I was moved to tears in under 5 minutes. The photos were absolutely breath taking. She is extremely talented and worth every penny. Hence, I loved every single photo so much that my husband and I upgraded our package giving us everything, including the amazing slide show. Ranae is extremely talented and I can’t say enough about how happy my husband and I are with our wedding photos. It was everything we had hoped for and so much more. I can not say enough about Ranae with EMotion Galleries! My husband and I got married on The Big Island two years ago during a double hurricane. The wedding was almost called off because of power issues. Not once did the wedding coordinator tell me the photographer might not make it due to the circumstances! Ranae and Duncan were amazing!! They were professional, on time, friendly and so easy to work with! Ranae always asked for our input while shooting our photos and never once appeared in the way of our ceremony. Now, two years later, we went back to Kona and connected with EMotion Galleries for our first maternity session as we begin to welcome our sweet baby girl. Ranae spent plenty of time with us, laughing and working her magic yet again! Our pictures turned out wonderful! With a background in dance, Ranae taught us how to make every photo more flattering! We did not expect our wedding to be great coz it's just the two of us and another thing , we've been together for 16 years. I was wrong! Ranae showed us again how we first met, she took us back when we fell in love and all the reasons why we're getting married. Ranae was very patient, artistic, very attentive to details. She made our wedding day so special. All the pictures came out beautiful inspite of the humidity that day. We. Love you Ranae! You rock!!! To bad they are not 6 stars because I need it an extra one. My now husband dislikes pictures, I don't mind regular cell-phone pictures, but when I'm infront of a big camera I get as stiff as a tree. Well, Ranae somehow made us feel comfortable. She was fun, but professional and by the end Christopher and I were ever dancing and being goofy. We felt like we knew her for years. I can't thank her enough for capturing our special day and making us feel comfortable. to us Ranae will be remember as the Hawaiin photo Goddess.

I was so impressed with the photos that were taken. Breath taking, beautiful, perfection! Worth every penny! Ranae was fantastic. Words cannot fully describe all that Ranae did. I still can't believe how lucky we were to have such a great photographer, her photos of our wedding grace the walls of our home in Australia (vibrant, colourful and perfectly capturing all the special moments of our day). Ranae has a beautiful presence and totally put me at ease, and snapped some memorable candid shots of everyone.

I cannot even express how wonderful Ranae was! She was so easy to talk to, made us feel comfortable, was very flexible, and most importantly got better shots than I could have ever imagined! EVERY time my friends and sister come over to my house, they comment on how lucky I was to find Ranae because the photos she took of our wedding are truly stunning! I am not photogenic and do not do a good job posing my but somehow she made us all look flattering and beautiful! I could go on forever but most importantly, I would recommend her! My wedding day was perfectly captured. I love the photos and Ranae!

Ranae was amazing!!!! She captured the special event beautifully. We had nothing in mind and Ranae's artistic talents really came out as she captured absolutely breathtaking photos. She provided us with downloadable copies of our wedding pictures as well as beautiful hand copies. She also put together an amazing video of the photos. Patient, awesome and talented beyond belief! I cannot say enough good things about Renae! She's not only an amazing photographer, she's a wonderful person that makes sure you have the best photos possible for your big day. I got (and still do) so many compliments on my pictures, most people telling me my photographer was amazing! We loved her so much we asked if we could do a "day after" shoot and she was more than happy to do it. I feel so lucky to have found her!

While working with Kayli at the Royal Kona Resort, I was given a list of photographers & right away my heart was set on EMotion Galleries by Ranae. In fact that was the only thing I was worried about in planning a destination wedding. You don't get to meet your photographer to get a feel of if your styles are going to match. Ranae's gallery really seemed to capture the love and spirit of a Hawaiian wedding so I had my fingers crossed big time in the hopes that she was going to be available for our date. With the confirmation email I felt like a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. And this all before any actual contact with Ranae! We booked 4 hrs of photography time which included the bride getting ready. As soon as Ranae entered the room she was bursting with positive energy, quickly moving furniture around in the room to make sure it was going to be the best environment to capture everything. As she was putting me in various poses & opening certain shades for different lighting, she explained why she was doing so & made me feel truly comfortable. During this time she captured the small details like my shoes that I had custom made, the rings, my beautiful bouquet, even the room number which I enjoyed since these are little things that you want to remember 50 years from now. There is a picture she captured as the three of us started the walk down to the ceremony in the hallway & it is a capsule of how I felt about to make this huge step forward in life as I was looking at myself in the mirror not knowing she was shooting away. A perfect example of the mix of photojournalism and posed pictures she excels at. During the ceremony she did a amazing job getting the emotions & I never felt like she was being intrusive. She went above & beyond every hope I had. She even gave me her shoes when we shot on the lava rocks! My heels and lava didn't mix well. You can not be disappointed if you book EMotion Galleries. I hope we can make it back to do more pictures with her!

Ranae was amazing. She captured the sunset during our ceremony fabulously and the pictures came out amazing. It started to rain during our reception, but she still managed to get a few shots in before it started to pour. She provided us with downloadable copies of our wedding pictures and sent us beautiful hand copies. We didn't have any poses in mind, but she was there to guide us. Very patient and awesome! Ranae is so amazing and I couldn't be happier with our wedding photos. She was a blast to work with and her talent is undeniably the best I've seen. She's fun and she makes you feel comfortable. She really took the time to get to know us and made sure to give us what we were looking for. It was really important that we had beautiful sunset pictures and she delivered! I am so happy with everything she shot! She is hands down the best!!! I highly recommend her! You will not be disappointed!

I received a photographer list through our wedding planner, Brian @ Royal Kona Resort. We chose Ranae as our ceremony photographer and are very happy we did. We hired her for one hour but. Ranae took more than 100 shots in that hour including dinner, ceremony, and after ceremony and couple shots. Ranae made all of us comfortable and was fun to work with.
She finished the edited pictures with CD and even surprised us with the slide show with great music within only 4 days. The pictures came out beautiful.

We were so happy we chose Ranae to photograph our special day! She was so easy to work with and made us all feel very comfortable. Her direction was so helpful. She made sure to clarify every shot we wanted on our wedding day and made them all happen! I felt as though she really cared and that we weren't just 'clients'. The photos that she took are amazing!

We would absolutely use Ranae again and would recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer.

Ranae did an AMAZING job with our photos. She was included in our destination package at the Royal Kona so we didn't really know what to expect....I could not have asked for a better photographer. Thank you so much for the amazing pictures!

Ranae provided over 200 photos of my wedding, including photos of myself and my bridesmaids getting ready which was great! Ranae took some fantastic photos and is clearly very talented! Ranae also made my husband feel comfortable with photos (even though he dislikes his photo being taken). Overall, I highly recommend Ranae.
