Overall wonderful experience

I had a great experience working with Elina for makeup for my wedding. From the moment I reached out to her to the day of the wedding, Elina was always very responsive and easy to get in touch with. My bridesmaids and I all got our makeup done with her for the wedding and on our way to the wedding kept talking about how good of a job she did and how weightless the makeup felt. I would highly recommend Elina to anyone looking for a makeup artist for their wedding.

Elina is amazing!!

I have had the pleasure of Elina doing my make up for several family weddings where I was a bridesmaid and each time she did such an amazing job. When it came time for my wedding I couldn't wait to reach out to her! I felt so incredibly beautiful on my wedding day! She is so kind and professional. Highly recommend!

Absolutely incredible

I reached out to Elina based on an amazing recommendation I received from a friend, and she exceeded all of my expectations. During my trial, she took the time to listen to what I wanted and made suggestions based on her experience when I was not sure (I had never worn anything on my lips, and she picked the perfect color for me). She also made some great recommendations for skin care products that helped clear up my skin. When I had to move my wedding due to the pandemic, Elina was flexible, helpful, and also extremely considerate of my feelings. Leading up to our new wedding date, Elina was quick to respond to my emails, and she even made a color coded timeline so that all 14 people getting ready with me knew when to be in which chair. On the actual wedding day, she showed up early, made each and everyone of my bridesmaids feel beautiful, and took the time to make sure that I looked perfect. She really made me feel like the most beautiful bride. I wish Elina could do my makeup everyday! I would HIGHLY recommend booking Elina for your wedding day.

Great to work with and very talented!

We got married on our original day in June 2020 in a small ceremony, and then had a larger celebration in 2021. For both events, Elina helped make the day extra special. During my makeup trial she took plenty of time to make sure I was happy with every aspect of her work, and took extensive notes. Leading up to each event, she was easily reachable to discuss scheduling and other questions. She arrived promptly and worked efficiently to make sure my party and I didn't feel rushed at all. And her work is awesome, I got lots of compliments and love the way I look in the photos!

Easiest wedding decision

Elina is everything your want in your wedding makeup artist. She is flexible, responsive, communicative, and so so talented. I looked at a few of her photos before deciding to book her and it was the easiest wedding decision I made. I am not someone who wears makeup and she made me feel at ease and I loved my look on my wedding day. I highly recommend her for your special day.

Great Experience, Beautiful makeup!

Elina was amazing to work with throughout the COVID experience. I had to reschedule my wedding multiple times and we she was so understanding and flexible throughout the process. We finally had our big day on May 1st and everyone's make up looked STUNNING! There were many compliments from the guests and my bridesmaids said they felt so beautiful. I can not recommend Elina enough!

Beautiful & Professional

I first worked with Elina as a bridesmaid for a friends wedding and I loved the work she did so much that when I needed a make up artist for my own wedding I asked her if she would be available. I couldn’t believe how cautious and safe she was while getting everyone’s make up done. All the makeup was beautiful, I especially loved how my grandmothers turned out.

Perfection!

I was thrilled with my end result with Elina. As an anxious bride I scheduled my trial well in advance of the wedding to make sure I was happy and I was sooo very pleased! Elina is such a pleasant person to work with and she helped keep my nerves at bay because I knew everyone would look fantastic. She even had time left over to do my mother's makeup. Wow Makeup!!

Elina is truly fantastic at doing makeup!! She did such a great job at one of my friend wedding, I asked for her makeup artist’s name. Elina checked in on me periodically to see if I had questions about makeup. I was able to do a trial before the wedding at her home studio. She did makeup for us during the pandemic and she took every precaution possible to keep us and herself safe, which I greatly appreciated. I would have Elina do makeup for an special occasion not just my wedding!

Highly recommend!!

Elina is absolutely amazing! She was the makeup artist for my sisters wedding and everyone loved her. When it was time for me to pick out a makeup artist I didn't even think twice. I called Elina right away and from our first conversation I knew I was in great hands with her. From the makeup trial to all the communication in between to the wedding day she was the BEST! Not only did I love my makeup on my wedding day, my bridesmaids did as well!

Everyone Looked Beautiful!

My wedding started at 3 p.m. and we had 10 women getting hair and makeup done at the venue prior to the wedding. It was a tight timeline! I hired Elina because she was highly recommended by many vendors - especially the woman who I hired to do hair. I loved the pictures online and knew people who had used Elina for their weddings so I was confident she would be great and didn't have a trial session. I believe that Elina did the makeup for most of the women. (Because of the tight timing I hired an additional woman to do makeup for a couple of the women and hair for a couple of the women.) Elina showed up on time, bright and early, and had no complaints! She was calm and listened to what everyone wanted and made everybody look beautiful! Importantly, not only do we all look beautiful in the pictures but we also looked beautiful in person on the day of the wedding. I say this because I've definitely been at multiple weddings where the wedding party's makeup looks caked on or too heavy in real life because it was geared towards good photography. I absolutely love how I looked on wedding day in real life and in pictures. It's always expensive to hire makeup and hair artists to come out to the venue but Elina is worth every penny.

Elina did such an amazing job on my make up and all of my bridesmaids! Every bridesmaid was super happy with how their make up looked. She was very patient with all of us, finished on time, and listened to what each girl wanted/didn’t want to make sure we were comfortable. Definitely recommend her!

Perfect make-up and personalized, professional service - Elina is awesome!

I chose Elina after being recommended to me from my photographer, and she surpassed all of my expectations! Everything abut working with Elina went as expected - no surprises. As an older bride, it was really important to me to pick someone who would make me look naturally beautiful and youthful (but not like I tried too hard with caked-on make-up). At my trial, Elina asked many questions and we had a great conversation. I really liked that she has a personal touch and I think that helped her understand my style, what I like and don’t like. Her personality is warm, friendly and I appreciate that very very much about her — it shows she cares about the person she’s working with, not just slapping on some make-up. The products she used were amazing — in fact, she shared information about them afterwards and I’ve incorporated many into my daily routine. They felt good on my skin and didn’t break me out, which I was worried about. When I needed help figuring out a complicated schedule for hair and make-up and at the last minute needed an extra person to do both hair and make-up, Elina put together the schedule and recommended her sister-in-law, Syvonne, to join the team. Syvonne was amazing too! The schedule worked perfectly and helped make sure our getting ready party went smoothly on the morning of the wedding. My make-up on wedding day was absolutely flawless — Elina delivered perfectly on the most special day of my life! My bridesmaids (who are also all 50+) were the hottest bridal party you could ever imagine — we all looked our best and the girls are still talking about how beautiful they felt. Also, Elina was wonderful with my Mother who has Alzheimer’s and needs compassionate interaction. She was sensitive and kind, and made her look like the incredibly beautiful and graceful woman that she is. I can’t say enough positive things about Elina, and the next time I need professional hep with make-up, she is the person I will call. THANK YOU!!!

All I can say is that Elina is amazing!

As a professional wedding planner for 7+ years before getting engaged, I knew from the very beginning that I wanted to use Elina to look my absolute best on my big day! Elina is very responsive, very professional and so astonishingly talented. I felt beautiful all day long and my lashes lasted into the next day!!!

Absolutely Amazing! Highly recommend!

I cannot even fully express how absolutely wonderful Elina is! She is an incredibly talented make-up artist and such a kindhearted person! I am SO glad she did my makeup for my Baltimore wedding and I cannot recommend her enough! I have never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day and absolutely loved my makeup! From Elina's first email response, you can tell that she is so incredibly kind and is also quick to respond to questions. When my mom and I went to do our trial, I expressed how I really wanted a natural look since I don't usually wear a lot of makeup and Elina listened and delivered! She is one of the kindest people I have ever met and I got compliments on my makeup all night long! On my wedding day she was early, fully prepared and was so patient with all of us and had such a welcoming and kind smile all day long. Elina did my makeup as well as 7 bridesmaids for my wedding day. Everyone’s makeup was AMAZING! We all got SO many compliments! She was also SUPER fast! She did everyone’s makeup in about 30 minutes! It was unreal! I would definitely 10/10 recommend her.

Elina is magical! Book her now. She was super accommodating throughout my wedding process and made sure everything was exactly how I wanted it. She wouldn't let me leave the chair during my trial until we found the EXACT PERFECT lip color and ended up blending a few together to find the right look. She kept detailed notes of everything she did to make sure the day of was 100% what I wanted and the result was amazing. Very happy with my look and all the important ladies she and her assistant glammed up on my wedding day. Elina is a rockstar - thank you for being a part of my amazing team!

I highly recommend EmmeY Makeup Artisty! Elina arrived to the wedding venue on time and ready to get started! Each bridesmaid looked absolutely beautiful - she was able to match their eye makeup and dress color perfectly. My makeup on my wedding day looked awesome! Even on a humid/hot July night, my makeup and bridesmaids makeup lasted ALL night! She is reasonably price, flexible, and incredibly talented!

Flawless experience

Elina is such a talented make-up artist. After sharing just two inspiration photos with her and discussing my vision for the day, she perfected my makeup at the trial. I left the trial feeling so excited for my wedding day because I knew the makeup would help me to feel extra special, and it did! I felt like the most radiant version of myself. Fantastic makeup artist!

I'm so glad I booked Elina for my wedding day!! My makeup looked amazing and stayed in place all day and night, and my bridal party looked fantastic as well. She has a very calming presence and was very receptive to feedback - although I didn't have much since she did such a great job despite little guidance from me! At the trial I was able to test half airbrush and half traditional application to see what I liked more, which I thought was great. She is very responsive and helpful, and helped me figure out a good getting ready timeline so we wouldn't be rushed. I would absolutely recommend her!

We were all very happy. Elina listened to our personal requests and executed the job with each one in mind. There was plenty of colors to choose from, was very organized and talented with makeup and was very easy to communicate with. Our morning went well and on schedule. Elina responded quickly through email and overall was very easy to do business with.

Amazing to Work With!

Elina was amazing to work with and I would highly recommend EmmeY Makeup Artistry! My bridal party ranged from girls who wear/little to no makeup to girls who have a daily beauty routine and everyone felt fabulous in their look. I am not a very outspoken person and I appreciated that during the bridal trial Elina would check in with me and ask my opinions as she worked to make sure I was happy with each step of the process.

Wonderful Experience

We had a very small wedding this February and I needed makeup only for myself. I contacted Elina and we had a trial. I came away from it very satisfied and comfortable with my wedding look. She gave me several options for lip finishes and tweaked the look with any comments I had. She also made my blotchy skin look very even and smooth. On the day of the wedding, my makeup looked even better than the trial and I felt beautiful. Elina and I chatted the whole way through which actually helped calm me down. I had a wonderful experience and would recommend Elina to anyone considering makeup for a special event.

Elina is Wonderful!

I had a wonderful experience with EmmeY Makeup Artistry! Elina was great! I only use cruelty free and vegan products and she did SO much research, testing, and comparing so that she could ensure that she used products that aligned with my personal values for my big day, but also performed at her top-notch level. At our trial, she reworked the look as many times as necessary to perfect the look. On the day-of, we all looked amazing and she was even able to get a last-minute second artist when we had a few late additions to the group getting makeup done. Would absolutely recommend her and I can't wait for another opportunity to have her do my makeup!

An absolute pleasure!

The vendors you choose to work with on your big day can really impact your entire wedding experience. This is why we chose Elina. I had actually attended a wedding where Elina did the bridal party's makeup, and everyone's faces, especially the bride Dena (see pictures from Elina's website), looked absolutely stunning. Both my experiences for the trial and the day of were great. I enjoyed coming to her home studio to try out different options for what my final look would be. Elina made sure to show me different levels of foundation coverage, including with and without airbrushing. Getting to see those different options helped me feel confident about what I wanted on my wedding day. I ended up nixing the airbrush, as she recommended I might do :) Plus she incorporated a little purple eyeshadow (since it is my favorite color), and now I know I can feel comfortable wearing bold lip colors, and they can last all day!

I was especially glad to have Elina as my makeup artist the day of my wedding. Long story short, I did not get much sleep the night before due to some issues with my hotel room. I felt and looked exhausted! However, getting my makeup done really perked me up and I jokingly told Elina that she gave me my night's sleep back! This set the stage for an incredible wedding day, and I cannot thank her enough for her help doing my makeup, and the makeup for my entire bridal party, mom, and now mother-in-law! You can't go wrong with EmmeY Makeup Artistry!

Great makeup!

Elina did an amazing job on my makeup for my wedding! During the trial, I mentioned that I would like to have a natural look: I often find that brides don’t look like themselves and I wanted to make sure that I look like a more polished version of myself! I was very happy with the results at the trial, but wanted to make a few changes. Elina graciously accepted my feedback and incorporated it into her notes. The end result on my wedding day was perfect—better than I ever imagined! It stayed perfect from the morning through the evening, even with the outdoor photography and the ceremony taking place during the hottest time of the day (on a hot and very humid day), and dancing.

I would also like to note that Elina is extremely sweet, caring, and comforting. I was dealing with a personal tragedy around the time of the wedding and Elina bent over backwards to accommodate schedule changes and to support me and my family.

I could not recommend Elina highly enough!

Elina did a fantastic job on all of our make up for my March 24, 2018 wedding. I have never felt more beautiful than on my wedding day! She had also done my trial for my engagement shoot so I knew she was the perfect fit! She made everybody comfortable and had us looking our best. My sister in law had had a bad experience with hair and make up with a salon for her wedding and seeing Elina’s work she decided she wanted her to do her make up as well. My mother in law who never wears make up decided she wanted Elina to do hers too. I’m grateful for how accommodating she was and I honestly wouldn’t recommend anyone besides her! Elina was beyond wonderful!
About a year before the wedding I did a make up trial for my engagement photos and knew at the very first meeting she would be a great make up artist for the wedding. She had written down all the colors and make up she used during that trial and brought the paper of notes to the wedding.
About a week before the wedding, we talked on the phone and she worked to create a make up and hair schedule for the day of so all those participating in the beautify-ing knew when they needed to be where and what order they would be getting ready in. This made the day of so easy, relaxing, and stress free!
We started getting ready at nearly 8:30 and Elina was early to the hotel and got set up quickly and immediately started working. She took everyone's likes and dislikes into consideration and everyone's make up looked flawless and stayed that way the entire day and night.

I would recommend EmmY Makeup Artistry to anyone in a heart beat! So professional, easy to work with, thoughtful, and great at her skill.

Elina was very professional from the first conversation we had in regards to my wedding. She asked the questions needed in order to help achieve my dream look for my wedding day. My makeup came out perfect and was exactly how I described I wanted. I really loved Elina's work, I thought I looked so pretty!!! When I did the test run with her, she was really great and actually did one side of my face by airbrush and another side she did herself manually (for the foundation). I thought I was really set on the air brush, but when she did both I liked how it turned out when she manually did the application. It was nice that she gave me the option to choose and see how both turned out! So on the day of the wedding she came to us to apply makeup, and I let my bridesmaids do whatever they wanted for makeup, but after seeing her work on me and and my sister, several of them (and my mother and stepmother!) wanted to get their makeup done by her. She came with more than enough time to accommodate for all the last minute girls who wanted their makeup done, and did it beautifully! Makeup lasted all night (and for the after parties) and one my bridesmaids loved her makeup so much she started buying some of the products Elina used on her!

Elina was so helpful and easy to work with! I don't own or wear makeup, so I had no idea what I was doing, and I appreciated her expertise in designing my wedding makeup. She was very responsive to emails and so positive, calm, and professional the day of the wedding. She and her assistant did a great job with my wedding party, mom, MIL, and grandmother. Elina was amazing! I was a bridesmaid in a wedding last, so this year when it came to my wedding. Picking someone for make up was incredibly easy. My only worry was that she wouldn't be available but she was. Elina arrived onsite on time, did my make up as well as my moms and cousins in a great amount of time. It was the last weekend in July and it was extremely humid and my make up didn't go anywhere. I even jumped in the pool and my make up was still flawless. I absolutely love EmmeY Makeup! Elina did my makeup when I was a bridesmaid in my sister's and my friend's weddings, and she did such an amazing job that I had to have her do mine for my wedding. Elina was amazing to work with and very responsive to any changes I wanted to make or updates in my appointments. She is super sweet and did a fantastic job on my bridesmaids, mothers, and myself on the wedding day. Elina is incredible to work with!! She is sweet, professional, very responsive, and easygoing! I had 10 people who had their makeup done and not only did she finish on time but every single one of us looked and felt incredibly beautiful! Elina was great and very easy to work with. She had great recommendations for my makeup and did a fantastic job. I had never had my makeup done professionally before, and was worried that I wouldn't look like myself. Her work was amazing.... very elegant. I used EmmeY Makeup for my wedding in August. Elina was so great to work with. I had a trial done before my wedding day. Elina listened to me and made changes based on what I wanted. The day of the wedding - Elina was the first person to arrive. She did makeup for six other people in my party. Everyone loved their makeup. I would highly recommend her! I had a fantastic experience with Elina. She was extremely personable and professional. I am Korean and find that when getting my makeup done it is often too harsh, not enough, or doesn't accentuate my eyes well. This is was not he case with Elina. From the makeup trial to the big day, the makeup was flawless and exactly what I envisioned and more.

My bridal party and future in laws were also a very diverse group (Salvadorean, African American, Puerto Rican, Korean, Colombian, and Caucausian). It was very impressive that each of them absolutely loved their makeup. Our makeup also lasted the entire 10 hour day.

Thank you Elina for your talent, accommodating nature, and warmth. I felt so beautiful on our special day and I know a great deal of that was because of you!

Elina, owner of EmmeY Makeup Artistry is an amazing, talented, kind, timely, skilled makeup artist. We were very satisfied with our makeup, from the teenagers to adults, Elina's talent was exceptional. She was professional, easy to work with, and very clean in her handling of the makeup and brushes. She also did a trial before our big day and was able to sell us the lip color we loved so we could touch up later in the evening. She traveled to our event site which made it so easy for us to be ready to party! Our makeup looked wonderful both in person and in the photographs! I highly recommend Elina!!

I can't say enough amazing things about Elina from emmey makeup artistry!! After my trial, I immediately knew I had picked the best choice and I absolutely loved Elina's work!! She made the entire process so fun, comfortable, and she 100% nailed the natural look I was going for. On my actual day, she arrived early and ready to take on myself, 2 bridesmaids, and my mom! Every single one of them talked about how much they loved their makeup--it felt so natural and it stayed on all day. One of my bridesmaids even said this was the first time she had ever completely loved a professional makeup application--Elina is incredibly talented!! As for myself, I cried happy tears probably 5+ times throughout the day and my makeup was absolutely flawless. Do yourself a favor and hire Elina. I absolutely loved the entire makeup process for my wedding and highly recommend EmmYMakeup Artistry to anyone. Elina was incredibly personable and really took the time to listen what I envisioned. My normal makeup routine consists of some old clumpy mascara and lip balm, so I was very apprehensive about wearing a full face of makeup for the wedding. She made me feel very comfortable throughout the whole process and did a superb job at making our makeup look natural. Working with Elina was great! I do not wear make up on a day to day basis and was concerned about a "caked on look" but Elina was all ears to my concerns and left my make up very natural and it looked great throughout the whole wedding day. Working with Elina was incredible. From the first contact emails through the final execution, she was professional, helpful and sweet. She was kind and calm and listened to everyone's concerns and preferences. Everyone was extremely satisfied with the results. She was prompt and worked quickly, although it seemed she took her time with each person. I had 8 people for her to do makeup on and she finished in 5 hours. I am extremely picky with my makeup, and she not only made me feel more comfortable in the chair than I ever have before, she succeeded in producing the EXACT look that I asked her for. Elina is the greatest! I planned my wedding in Baltimore, MD from Boston, MA (with a lot of help from my parents and our friends!). With limited visits home, I had my makeup trial in maybe September? for my April wedding. Elina was extremely responsive and able to meet me on the date that I was in MD, she has a studio in her home which was professional, clean, and super relaxed. I brought my best friend with me, because she has super high standards of customer service, price, and she would never sugar coat it if my makeup looked jacked. Not only did I love my makeup, but so did Megan....and we also both LOVED Elina. In between the trial and the day of, communication was easy and fast...Elina was stress free for me!
Day of - Elina arrived on time to the hotel that we were all getting ready at -- she did most of my bridesmaids makeup, mine, and my mom's. Pricing was super fair and included lashes! Everyone had traditional makeup done (I think I remember Elina saying that she doesn't airbrush), and the makeup lasted all night. I wish I had other events that I needed makeup for so I could visit Elina again. One of my bridesmaids left her card to hopefully book for her wedding, which is exciting. I have nothing other than good things to say about Elina.

The caliber of my wedding would not have come to fruition if it were not for the amazingly talented team of vendors we had for our special day. I had a dream theme in mind, I wanted a classic Gatsby, old Hollywood glam feel, and my wedding planner, Elle Ellinghaus, along with the amazing team of her recommended vendors made my dream wedding come true even better than I imagined. Elina was a HUGE part of my wedding & everything would not have turned out so beautiful if it weren’t for her as well. From the moment I did my trial with Elina (which was free & that is a rarity on it’s own) I knew she was the perfect fit for my needs. First of all she is sweet as can be & accommodated everything I could have imagined. The trial was free, she was willing to do a second trial closer to the wedding if I wanted, she uses organic airbrush products resulting in everyone looking flawless & feeling fresh, and she even came to the venue to do touch ups right before the ceremony so that my wedding party wouldn’t have caked on or sweaty makeup before the ceremony since I got married on a hot August day, which was SUCH an amazing plus. Everyone looked gorgeous, & looked amazing in the photos as well, and it wouldn’t have been possible if it weren’t for Elina & her assistant staying with us all day to make sure everyone was perfect. I will 100% use her again for future events & I highly recommend her.

Beautiful high quality makeup for a great value with EmmeY Makeup Artistry

Elina was fantastic! She made me look my best and also made the beautiful women in my bridal party and my mom look amazing. Everyone was very happy with their make-up and each girl looked like herself. I wanted a bold red lip, while other girls wanted a more natural look. The inclusion of eyelashes made such a difference—and I am so glad Elina put them on all of us. The make-up used was high quality and did not cause any of us to break out, in fact, I think my skin looked better than usual the day following. The makeup stayed put all day and night—after much dancing!

Elina is friendly and kind. I would think most any bride would be happy to have her around on her own wedding day.

I was also very happy with my trial which I strongly recommend for everyone. I wear glasses most of the time, but planned to wear contacts for my wedding. After I had a touch of trouble with my eyes following the trial, Elina made some suggestions that worked just fine for me. I had no issues the day of my wedding. She was also super helpful during my wedding planning process and lent a kind ear when I was dealing with some logistical issues.

I would highly recommend Elina and EmmeY Makeup Artistry. I do not think you will find anyone else in the Baltimore area who provides this level of professional service for such a fair price.

I highly recommend Elina for her bridal makeup services for so many reasons. First, she provides excellent quality and really caters to her clients' specific needs and concerns. There were certain aspects of my makeup that I was really detail-oriented about such as eyebrows, eyes, and using individual versus strip false lashes. She really mastered creating a glamorous yet not over the top bridal look for me and she will honestly go for whatever look you desire. I also had an area on my upper arms with uneven tone and coloring. She did an excellent job covering it up and really put a lot of effort into ensuring that no imperfections would be visible in my wedding photos. Secondly, she offers excellent value. The free initial makeup trial cannot be beat. I shopped around before going with Elina and many places charge initial trials for $100+. Hers was free and she did a great job for the trial. I paid for myself as well as my 5 bridesmaids and my mom and her final cost was significantly less than other quotes I had received elsewhere. Finally, she is just such a delight to work with. She is professional - punctual, organized, and highly responsive (received responses almost as soon as I sent messages). But she is also very personable and easy to get along with. She is friendly and made my bridesmaids and me feel comfortable and at ease on my wedding day. Go with EmmeY - doing so will be one of the best wedding decisions you'll make!

Elina is a true professional and so incredibly talented at her craft. When searching for a makeup artist for our wedding, my concerns were not looking like Joker walking down the aisle and finding someone who uses products with fewer toxins. At my trial, Elina sat down with me in her beautiful home studio and consulted with me about the look I was after. I really appreciated how much she listened! It was very comforting.

Leading up to the wedding, she was super responsive and flexible with the logistics of the day. On the actual day, Elina arrived early and was such a calming, joyful presence. It is clear she really enjoys her job. Most importantly, we all looked great and I felt like myself, but a fancier version. No Joker face, even after a few tears were shed! :)

Elina of EmmeY makeup artistry was amazing to work with. She not only made all of my bridesmaids look beautiful but she listened to each girls wants and preferences.
