Couldn’t have asked for anything better
I cannot say enough positive things about my experience. Wedding day jitters melted away, the morning of was smooth, mostly because of this company. Emily and her team were EARLY on the day of, so professional, so sweet and helped us remain on time without sacrificing the looks, everybody looked STUNNING. My mom, my bridesmaids and I all looked and felt like absolute royalty - Emily helped calm my nerves and made my wildest wedding day look dreams come true. AND the hair and make up made it all night, and I’m a pretty (bad) energetic dancer. 100/10 experience and I would recommend her and her team to ANYONE for any occasion. -

I am so happy with my hair and makeup for my wedding in August 2025 at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu. Emily Lynn and Company were so amazing, very attentive, and helped my dreams come true. I had my hair and makeup done in addition to my mother, my mother-in-law, and two of my bridesmaids. I have very curly hair, and they assured me that they could style all sorts of hair, and I am so happy with how it turned out. I did a beautiful half up half down while still incorporating my curls. For my makeup, we all wanted to be enhanced in a subtle manner. My makeup looked so natural, so glowy, it was exactly what I wanted. My husband thought I looked beautiful, and I truly felt very beautiful. Sooyon and Erin were so lovely and so fun to work with. I am very, very happy with my look and I look back at pictures remembering how beautiful I felt. -

Oh my goodness - Emily Lynn and her INCREDIBLE team are simply beyond words. As someone who has not always been comfortable with getting her hair and makeup done and was intimidated by the beauty process of my wedding, Emily Lynn and her team helped me to feel so incredibly safe, supported, and full of ease both on the day of my wedding and leading up to it! Emily and Collette worked so hard to help both myself and my whole bridal party, and mother and mother in law feel SO incredibly calm, comfortable, and excited for the day. One of my favorite parts of my wedding day was the getting ready portion - Emily and Collette brought a sense of ease and peace to a morning full of fast paced nervous excitement!! Emily and Collette were respectful of pronouns, body neutral language, and helping us all to feel soooo safe and supported!! Despite not often wearing makeup, Emily helped me to feel like myself on my wedding day - exactly what I wanted. I felt glowing, happy, and content. Emily and Colette helped my mom and mother in law to feel equally as cared for and prioritized on our wedding day which felt so important to me! My bridal party all fell in love with the wonderful presence and talent that Emily and her team offered. Emily Lynn and Colette were kind and flexible and open to the idea of having us all get ready in a little cozy mountain cabin - my dream come true!! I am so thankful for Emily and her amazing team and highly highly recommend working with them. -

Canty Wedding
I have no words for how incredible Emily and her team were for my special day! I originally only booked Emily's team for my bridesmaid's makeup, but had a week-of last minute wedding change and was in need of bridal makeup! Emily came to the rescue, scheduled a trial with me, and made me feel so amazing. Emily and her team are not only SO sweet and enjoyable to have around (their vibes were FAB day of)- but they also made me feel so so beautiful! I felt like myself in my bridal makeup which was one of my struggles with previous trials with other companies. Emily made sure that, while it was a bit more "glam" than my normal everyday makeup for my wedding, that it still felt like me!!! I loved everything about my makeup and my girl's makeup! I am soso grateful!!! If you are looking for a sweet, girl-boss team, who will bring out your natural beauty and make you feel like your most gorgeous self on your special day- GO WITH THEM!!!! I’ve always loved hair and makeup, so getting it professionally done was one of the things I was most excited about for my wedding. Choosing a HMU artist was overwhelming, especially with so many highly recommended options. Emily Lynn & Co. stood out to me because of their natural approach. Their website had an editorial yet relaxed and fun vibe that resonated with me. As a graphic designer, a beautifully designed brand and website played a big role in all my vendor decisions—but Emily Lynn & Co.'s work truly spoke for itself.
I had the pleasure of working with Colette as my lead artist, and I can’t recommend her enough. She made the trial experience so comfortable by coming to my apartment, which was so nice. Colette really understood my vision—I wanted to look like myself, not too overdone, but with a touch of soft glam, and she nailed it perfectly. I also had Josie do hair for a few wedding party members, and everyone looked incredible. The atmosphere while getting ready was fun yet wonderfully calm. I highly recommend Emily Lynn & Co. to anyone looking for a top-notch HMU team! -

I don't think I need to say much more than - when Emily gave me a mirror to check my make up and make sure I was happy with it - I almost burst into tears from overwhelming happiness!
She really listened to what I wanted to achieve (the colors and tones, the feature enhancement, etc.) and made me feel and look the best I ever have.
I already can't wait to the next big life event when I'll be able to book Emily so she can work her magic again.
Yuya was our second stylist and she was also incredible, she styled hair for my mothers, bridesmaids and aunts and they all looked gorgeous!
Thank you Emily, Yuya and Nicole for making the getting ready process so special and stress free. You are all so brilliant! -

I truly do not know where to begin. Hiring Emily and her team at Emily Lynn + Co. to do hair and makeup for myself and my bridesmaids was one of the best decisions I made. From the first communication, Emily and her team (shout out to her wonderful booking manager, Nicole) were so responsive, helpful, and flexible as we figured out what we would need for our group. Emily did my hair and makeup, and the second I met her for my consultation, I felt immediately calm and at ease. She listened to what I wanted, provided me with endless opportunities to make adjustments, and brought such an incredible positivity and glow into the room. My aunt and I could not stop talking about how much we want to be friends with her.
On my wedding day, we had Emily, Kiyana, Andy, and Jessie getting us ready, and the energy in the house was so fun, celebratory, and calm. Every single member of our party (7 bridesmaids and my mom!) LOVED their hair and makeup, and if you've ever been in a group setting getting hair and makeup, you know that doesn't usually happen. We looked great all night, and my friend's beautiful bun even stayed in place after sleeping on it and getting directly on a 6 hour flight the next day. Emily knows what she's doing with bobby pins!
TL;DR: Hire Emily and her team. You won't regret it!!! -

I HIGHLY recommend Emily Lynn & Co.
I got married in Newport Beach, CA this past weekend. Makeup was one of the things that made me the most nervous. Post-COVID, I work from home and hardly wear makeup anymore and I've never been a girl that liked the look of makeup caked to someone's face.
I spoke to the team at Emily Lynn & Co. I told them I wanted a 'natural glam' look that I found on Pinterest, and I selected two makeup artists for myself and my bridesmaids. Michelle and Erin were wonderful. I did a pre-call before the wedding to walk through all the things I know nothing about (fake eyelashes, airbrushing, skin types, etc.) and they made it SO easy to select what I wanted for the day of.
On the wedding day, they arrived on site at Lido H.ouse (where we were getting ready) and set up with very little guidance (I was getting my hair done before makeup and my wedding planner was at the venue). They started working on my bridesmaids and were able to accommodate our timing (we were a bit late at hair!). They still finished early, which gave me enough time to write my vows in my vow book!
All my bridesmaids looked gorgeous. The makeup held up throughout the whole day/night (even through the happy tears!) and came out perfect in photos! I highly recommend this team!! -

Absolute Stress-Free Perfection ♥️
It’s hard to put into words just how beautiful, happy, and confident I felt on my wedding day, due in no small part to Emily’s hair and make-up artistry. My hair and makeup lasted through windy desert photos and hours of dancing. I’m 46 years old. We got married on a Sunday but spent Friday and Saturday nights hosting welcome parties (which I highly recommend). The result was that by Sunday, my skin was dehydrated and I felt more than a bit worn out. Emily brought me back to life. My husband couldn’t stop gushing over me the whole day. I would recommend Emily in a heartbeat. -

Colette on Emily's team was my girl for our wedding day — such a sweetheart! I don't know the first thing about hair or makeup, but Colette perfectly captured the look I wanted. Emily's company also does a great job of guiding you through the planning process so you know exactly what to expect. I did a trial with Colette a year before my wedding and had changed my hair color and length, but she was still able to pull off the same beautiful look. My hair and makeup held up all day — even in 90-degree weather, on-and-off rain, and humidity. Now that's impressive! Thank you for bringing my dream look to life. -

I was so happy that I chose Emily Lynn and Co. as my beauty team! From the very beginning, Nicole, the booking manager was quick to respond, answer questions, and was extremely helpful in finding a team even though I was booking a little late. Savannah answered my call out of the blue a few weeks before the wedding and gave extremely helpful advice when I was buying hair extensions. Tracina and Savannah came to the hotel where we were staying early in the morning and did my bridal hair and makeup and the hair and makeup for the full bridal party (6 bridesmaids and both moms). They were both a pleasure to spend the day with, and worked magic with me and the bridal party. Tracina did hair for 8 people. It was a very hot day and many of the bridesmaids decided to switch to an updo, without a very specific idea of what they wanted. Tracina did an amazing job of taking guidance from the bridesmaids and creating beautiful updos that were all a little unique, and each one was elegant and gorgeous. Savannah did makeup for six members of the bridal party and my (bride's) hair and makeup. Everyone's makeup looked stunning; Savannah enhanced everyone's natural beauty. Everyone looked, elegant, natural, and elevated. Savannah spent a long time on my hair and makeup and did an excellent job. Despite 90+ degree weather, everyone's hair and makeup looked great the entire day. The bridesmaids told me how happy they were with the beauty team and how they looked for the day. Thank you to the Emily Lynn and Co team!! -

Emily Lynn & Co were highly recommended by our wedding planner for our daughter and son-in-law’s wedding and we could not have been more delighted with their services. Our daughter had a practice session with her stylist, whom she instantly liked, and was really able to get exactly the sort of look she wanted. Savannah and Melissa showed up bright and early the morning of the wedding and did hair and makeup for 6 of us with skill, good humor, creativity and a calming, supportive attitude. We were all very comfortable and happy with how we looked and enjoyed our time with them. There was a small crisis which was not their doing in any way, and Savannah helped solve the entire problem without blinking an eye. I am not a makeup person normally, and Melissa was very patient and helpful and so right about everything she recommended for me. I am 60 and my granddaughter is 12 and every one of us looked our best and had fun being pampered! I would hire Emily Lynn again anytime! -

Emily Lynn (and her company) were fantastic from our fist contact through the goodbye before my ceremony. I reached out to her because I love the more natural look - she made me look and feel like an elevated version of myself, which is exactly what I wanted. Her airbrushing option was awesome, it allowed us to start with really minimal coverage and inch our way to the perfect amount, without looking or feeling like I had a full face on etc. 10/10 recommend for someone not as comfortable/familiar with makeup on the daily! My hair held (comfortably!) all night!
She was extremely punctual, kind, and super respectful of covid concerns, and was flexible and understanding when a bridesmaid was unable to come last minute. I seriously cannot recommend her enough, I know it sounds so cheesy but it really felt like I had an old friend there with me that day helping me get ready.

Bryan and Celeste Elopement
We were so lucky to be able to have Emily her self for our special elopement day. We also booked her for our engagement photos to do hair and makeup but unfortunately I came down with covid and had to cancel. She was a breeze to communicate with and adjusted our plans and didn't charge us for the engagement cancellation. She is super personable, professional, and bubbly via communication. the day of our elopement was magical, and she was a part of that magic. We started our day with her arriving first at our airbnb this allowed some great time to get to know one another and for her to adjust anything for our vision of how we wanted to look on the big day. I showed her some photos and she nailed it!! truly a talented artist. I also was able to facetime her before the day to discuss any concerns or styles I preferred. She even sent me a detailed list of the ingredients for all the products she would use on me. I'm an acne specialist so ingredient decks are important to me. I wanted to check for pore clogging ingredients. The sir brush makeup she uses is indeed pore clogger free! I was thrilled! Emily truly was the best way to start out our big day and set a tone for the remainder of our elopement. I also requested a men's grooming session for my now husband. He was super nervous but Emily put him at ease and really made him shine. His hair was perfectly in place and she did a light airbrushed makeup on his face and really looked natural and took away any tired eyes or imperfections. My husband is a firefighter so there's a lot of sleepless nights for him on shift. He looked his absolute best that day though all thanks to Emily! Emily is also a whiz at any hair braiding! if you're looking for that natural makeup to highlight your best features and the much desired boho bridal look book Emily and her gals! They will not disappoint.

Emily is not only one of the most talented and professional HMU artists, but she is also extremely caring, attentive, and a joy to have with us all day on our wedding day!
We hired Emily and her team back in 2019 for our original 2020 wedding at Calamigos Ranch. When we realized COVID wasn’t going anywhere and decided to postpone to 2021, she was so flexible and understanding and moved right away to an even still peak Saturday date in the summer. Emily made my bridal hair and makeup dreams come to life and also made all my bridesmaids and mother of the groom also look absolutely stunning. She and her team worked with each girl to make sure that they all looked flawless and elegant. When it came time for my own makeup and hair, she just made me feel so at ease and relaxed. The look she gave me was exactly what I was hoping for. An “Old Hollywood” style with a feeling of romance and elegance.
Multiple people complimented how both myself and bridesmaids all looked stunning and no one was overdone or looked like we had too much makeup on. We all looked like ourselves with a natural glowing look, but in a very sheek, elegant, and romantic way. I am so grateful for Emily’s flexibility, creativity, and flawless execution. An amazing experience!
Highly recommend this company for your wedding hair and makeup! Emily was lovely to correspond with leading up to the wedding with scheduling everything, etc. she is so sweet and very responsive. For my trial/wedding day, Kait was AMAZING and I couldn’t have asked for a better artist who listened to exactly what I wanted and was super fun and easy to be around. She gave me the wedding look of my dreams!! I’ve never felt more beautiful. And my bridesmaids loved how Teddi did their hair. :)

We used Emily Lynn + Company to do makeup for my wedding. I initially was drawn to their team because all of the brides in their pictures looked glowy and fresh and not overdone. We used Josie for bridal hair and makeup and she did hair for mother-of-the-bride and my sisters with Nick doing makeup for MOB and my sisters. First of they were so nice and accommodating. Josie came two weeks before for a bridal trial of hair and makeup. I loved the look and we discussed a few tweaks for day-of. I was extremely pleased with the final product on my wedding day. I looked polished and glowy and fresh and, most importantly, like myself. My mom and sisters also looked beautiful. Would definitely recommend any of Emily's artists for your California event. -

I cannot say enough positive things about Emily. She is easy to talk to, professional, and talented. She is also extra safe, which put me at ease during these Covid times. She always wore a mask, a face shield, and would wash her hands when changing clients. She even accommodates for outside services for extra precaution. I am an amateur when it comes to make-up, and hair styling. Emily brought together my scattered ideas and vague vision into more than what I could have imagined. She made me feel like a queen on my wedding day. My sister-in-law and mom, who also received services from Emily, both looked beautiful for the wedding. We all later made comments on how sweet Emily is, and how comfortable she made us feel. After finishing your makeup, Emily gives you a touch up kit, which helps you look fresh throughout the day. My makeup looked great even after multiple times of taking on and off a mask. 100% recommend. -

The best glam team!
I worked with Julie for my engagement photo hair and makeup, and not only am I absolutely IN LOVE with the look she created, but I also feel like I made a new friend! Both Emily and Julie made sure to get my inspo photos, and re-assured me that the look was definitely achievable even though I look nothing like the girl in the photos.
We had a last minute change in plans as our photo shoot was in Sequoia and there was a snow storm coming in, and Emily was super communicative and accommodating, and coordinated an earlier start time with Julie so we could get out the door earlier. Julie gave me clear prep instructions the night before, was early for the (already early) appointment, and she was also SUPER hygienic with her makeup set/ tools. Julie's artwork survived a 5 hour drive + some time in sleet/snow/rain while we put on snow tires + an outfit change.
I'm super happy with everything -- the only thing I would have done differently is that next time, I'm bringing her with me to the shoot! -

Emily was amazing! We planned a micro, wedding in December and Emily came to my house to do my hair and makeup. I opted not to do a trial before, because it was just a small ceremony (COVID times!) and I had a good feeling about Emily after our initial consult. She has so much experience and I felt totally confident after seeing her website and some of her previous work. My gut was spot on - she was so amazing! I sent her a couple of pics for inspiration and she made me look even better than I imagined. She was so careful and had lots of great protocols in place to stay COVID-friendly. I was looking for someone to do hair & make-up for my wedding, and came across Emily Lynn + Co! Our wedding was scheduled for December of 2020, and I scheduled a trial consultation in July of 2020. Of course, this all happened during COVID, but Emily came prepared with all the PPE which I was so appreciative of! She was also always on time, and so friendly and personable! She made me feel so beautiful and made my hair and make-up dreams come true! Amazing and Accommodating
From the first time I contacted Emily, she was incredibly sweet and helpful. For my trial, I sent her a lot of photos of different styles and after we talked about my wedding and how I envisioned myself, she did two beautiful looks, which I absolutely loved. I knew immediately that I wanted her to be my makeup artist and hairstylist. Unfortunately, because of COVID, my wedding had to be postponed and nine months later we had to decide to either postpone again or cancel. We decided it would be the best for us to cancel the second time around. Emily was extremely accommodating and helpful the whole time. If we decide to have a reception in the future when things go back to normal, I’m definitely going to reach out to Emily again. -

STOP! Look no further for wedding hair/makeup/tan!! Emily is one stop shopping and so so so AMAZING. You really can't do better. Literally had THE BEST experience with her and her work.
I had to cancel my first wedding in Hawaii due to Covid and happened across Emily while planning my wedding 2.0 and boy am I glad I did. She was so fast to respond, so professional, so nice, answered all my questions and my whole family LOVED her. She was perfectly on time, her staff was also professional, felt very safe since we were doing this during covid, very clean and all the safety precautions plus more, and for someone who is uncomfortable getting makeup done for personal reasons, she made me feel heard and special and perfectly comfortable.
And I had never gotten a tan before and it was AMAZING! She does mobile tanning and can do it anywhere. It was perfect and also so fast! Just came to my house and popped up a little tent right in the living room.
My hair and makeup was perfect on my wedding day and I would definitely hire her again for anything I need. I also had hair extensions for the first time and she was stellar working with those. And my braids were STUNNING! -

I booked Emily for my wedding in August and I would book her 100 TIMES OVER. She arrived early and did 2 bridesmaids hair and makeup and my moms before doing mine. I chose not to do a trial before the day, but I was so so happy with the result the day of. One thing I loved about Emily was her flexibility and her checking in to make sure I liked the eyeshadow color and her willingness to change it when I wanted a different tone. Same with the hair! She was so calm and willing to flex when I wanted to go a slightly different direction. She is very kind, was not in a rush to leave when she was done and was patient to wait until I was ready to put on the veil, and her work was amazing. My hairstyle was literally one of my favorite parts of our wedding photos. I am still in shock that she actually turned my hair into the photos I showed her from Instagram. I didn't think it could be done! Just amazing. Also, my updo literally did not move the entire night. I even slept on it that night and it was hardly moved. The makeup also did not smudge even with sweaty dancing and a lot of fun. Her work will last through the night! Do not hesitate. BOOK HER! -

Loved working with Emily. She was so helpful when I rescheduled my wedding from June 2020 to October 2020 - we had to move the trial several times. Plus, she was so careful about sanitizing and ensuring both her safety and mine! Emily constantly gave me opportunities for feedback - and always helped me think through things. I got married in April and chose Emily to do my hair and makeup. I’m so happy my planner recommended her!! She seriously knows her stuff! I had brought a couple inspiration photos to the trial and we talked about the elements I liked in each photo. Emily was able to pull all the parts I liked and create magic with such ease and confidence. I chose airbrush makeup (even thought I was nervous about it) and absolutely loved it. I would highly recommend it. It wasn’t heavy and lasted the whole day! I felt so beautiful on my wedding day and the hair/makeup was perfect and photographed very nicely!
To top it all off, at the last minute, both flower girls wanted their hair done too. Since we had the time, Emily agreed and flawlessly executed both hairdos. The girls felt so special, which was the best part.
Emily is incredibly professional and able to roll with last minute changes. She has a great, easy going personality and is so fun to be around. On a day that can get hectic and stressful, it was nice to have someone calm and fabulous! I wish I could use her for every event I attend! -

Beyond happy with the service I received from Emily Lynn & Co! I had Erin for makeup and Tracina for hair on my wedding day, and they both did a fantastic job. I never felt so beautiful in my entire life. My maid of honor said her hair/makeup was even better than on her own wedding day!
I schedule my trial very early on because I was a little nervous and wanted to make sure I hired people who really knew what they were doing. On my trial day, I had so much fun with Erin and Tracina hanging out and chatting, and the look they created for me was exactly what I asked for. Erin did very clean/minimal makeup and Tracina created a gorgeous sleek & simple bun. Months later when it was time for my wedding, I decided to completely change up my look right before the big day!! They were not at all phased and on the day-of, they both created an entirely new look for me that was once again, exactly what I asked for.
The makeup that Erin created on my wedding day was so incredibly unique. We went for a bold winged liner with electric blue bottom eyeliner and a hint of peach on the lid - it was so cool and felt really true to me! It looked bridal but not at all traditional, which was exactly what I wanted. The foundation and skincare was light and lasted all day.
Tracina's hairstyle blew me completely away. I normally have extremely straight, fine hair that won't hold a curl. We added some clip-in extensions and she created loose waves and volume that miraculously lasted all day. I just could not believe how good it looked.
Thank you guys so so much! I will be coming back any time I need to get glammed in the future!

I enlisted Emily's help with my hair and makeup for my wedding day and I could not be happier with the end day results! I felt absolutely beautiful! We had a trial where Emily really listened and took the time to understand what I was looking for both in hair and makeup and when all was said and done, I felt like the results were better than I could have hoped for! Also, and I cant stress this enough, Emily was just such a joy to work with. Kind, encouraging, and light-hearted! I am not someone who wears a lot of make-up so I know the HMUA was going to be a challenging decision for me. I scheduled a call with Emily just to share my vision and immediately connected with her.
I filled out the proposal the very next day and waited patiently for next steps (e.g. deposit, etc.). I did not hear back so I followed up a week later. The calendaring person told me that there was not someone who was available for 2 days but I could share which day I'd prefer.
I responded back the same day indicating that I only requested in the proposal for one day. I received no response.
So, I followed up again the next day. At that point, the booker said all the days have already been committed to.
I lost a week trying to work with them. I understand that people are getting booked - but I would have appreciated a follow up from the team letting me know about potential conflicts on my date so that I was aware and should continue the shopping process.
