Wedding Dress

After going to many bridal boutiques I found my dream dress at Emelina’s Bridal! Not only did they give me great advice while trying on dresses, they were so kind throughout the whole alteration process. Thank you for pampering me and helping me find my wedding dress!

Wonderful experience

Absolutely amazing!

Amazing customer service! I walked in and the girls were extremely attentive, listened to my wishes and my requests, found several dresses that were my style (mermaid style) and with their help, I found the one! Not only were they amazing with sales, but also with service. Their seamstresses are absolutely amazing and talented. My dress fit like a glove! Emelina’s Boutique has a great team that works for and with their community. Couldn’t be a happier bride!

Fast and excellent alterations

Emelina hemmed my wedding dress- it was the only alteration that was needed. She had it ready in two days. Fantastic service. We will miss her so much!

Small boutique and intimate

Immediately upon entering the boutique I saw my dress on display. Unfortunately the boutique didn't have my size and knew I had to have it. Within weeks it was delivered. Very pleased with the gown

Miracle worker!

I had an incredible experience with Emelina's Bridal & Boutique! Emelina saved my wedding dress! I bought my dress at White Wisteria Bridal Boutique in Cincinnati when I was living in Ohio last year. When I went to pick up my dress it was too small. I was measured incorrectly (even though the store in Cincinnati has taken no responsibility for it) and my dress was over a size too small.

I was moving to Europe a few weeks after I picked up my dress so I had no other choice than to take it with me down to Florida, where I was visiting my parents before my move. My mom found Emelina's Bridal & Boutique and I am so thankful that she did.

Since our wedding was going to be in Tampa, I would go in for dress fittings when I was in town visiting my parents. Emelina was very flexible when it came to my fittings since I was coming in from Europe and her staff did most of the alterations within the 2 weeks before our wedding since they knew I was in the process of losing weight. They were very understanding and I could not be happier with the result.

Emelina worked a miracle on my dress. I did manage to lose over 50 pounds between May 2018 (right before I moved) and January 2019 (when our wedding was), and in the end the dress needed to be taken in. They did a wonderful job with all of the dress alterations and the final product was absolutely gorgeous. It was my dream wedding dress and it looked beautiful on me. I have Emelina to thank for that.

I would definitely recommend going to Emelina's Bridal & Boutique for wedding dress alterations.

I was so done with wedding dress shopping until we came across this hidden gem. Excellent service and selection. They truly care about about getting the perfect dress and perfect fit for each bride. Couldn't be happier with my experience and would recommend this shop to anyone!

Words cannot express my appreciation for this amazing store! Mrs. Emelina and her team did an amazing job with my daughter in law wedding dress! She even picked the perfect dress for me to wear on that day and I felt beautiful! I keep referring people to this store because their customer service is outstanding! They really care about their customers, for them is not about making just a sell - they want 100% customer satisfaction. I drove 1 hour and 15 minutes, and I will keep going to this shop! Great variety, amazing prices, their seamstress are REALLY professionals and our experience was wonderful! Thanks Mrs. Emelina for everything.

Last year I was in a panic - I bought my dress at CCs in a trunk sale...it didn't quite fit but it was my dream dress. And...I didn't loose enough weight to fit into it. Several alteration places said it could NOT be done. I was in a panic a few months before my wedding when my friend told me about the place her sister got her dress a year back. Emelina and her team were totally my fairy God Mothers! They SAVED the day! They were so very nice and worked magic to make my dress not only fit but look perfect! Emelina is the sweetest person ever! She takes you under her wing like you are her own daughter. I cannot say enough about her kindness, her dedication and her investment in making the dreams of her customers happen. I wish I had purchased all of our wedding attire here. I am FOREVER GRATEFUL for everything you did for me! My day would have never turned out as special if I wasn't wearing my dream wedding dress. I felt like a princess! Where to start? I have been coming to Emelina's ever since I was 15 years old picking out my homecoming & prom dresses for high school so when it came to my wedding, I knew exactly where to go. Emelina is the owner and can pretty much take any dress and turn it into a show stopper on your body. My wedding dress fit me perfectly and she was able to make additional alterations to the dress upon my request and it turned out PERFECT! I could not have been happier with the result. I have seen Emelina take a size 14 dress and alter it to a size 0 and you would have never known! My aunt, mother and grandmother also bought their formal dresses for my wedding here and were also able to get alterations done by Emelina. If there is anyone I trust, it's Emelina and her team. Her store is exceptional and her entire staff treats you like family. I will be back for many years to come.

I bought my wedding dress at Evelina's and would highly recommend them for any future brides. They have great customer service! Their staff was very helpful and once I found the dress I wanted they were able to work with me on the price to stay within my budget. You will also not find more affordable alterations in Tampa! They are very well priced and do beautiful work.

Emelina and her crew are miracle workers! 2 months before my wedding, I needed MY dress! Not just some dress. I made an appointment and tried on several different dresses all in the style I wanted. Finally, I found it! Only problem, it wasn't my size. They went to work the day I picked it. They made me drop my jaw, by the end. I left there a week before my wedding with what I considered a miracle. Emelina was my fairy godmother! She and her crew definitely worked some magic!! I would recommend them to absolutely everyone!!!

I didn't buy my dress from Emelina's but they handled all my alterations for my wedding on 10/31/15. The staff were patient and kind and worked hard to make sure my gown fit me like a glove. My dress was amazing and would not have been without the flawless work they did. Thank you Emelina's. I would highly recommend them.

Emelina Bridal is amazing! I was able to find my wedding dress, hair accessory and veil at her store. My bridesmaid dresses were from there as well! She worked so hard on fixing my dress to fit my body and made sure that it fit like a glove for my final fitting. Even thought my dress needed major alterations and I had to come in for 5 fittings, she assured me that she wanted me to look my best on my wedding day! I have purchased other dresses from her store in the past and would highly recommend her store to find your wedding dress. I received so many compliments on how beautiful my dress was and I could not be happier!!

Emelina's was absolutely wonderful! I had purchased bridesmaid gowns at the shop in the past, and always had wonderful experiences. I found "The One" for my own wedding, and it couldn't have been more perfect. And, let me tell you about how AMAZING their alterations are!! Emelina, herself, oversees EVERYTHING and runs that place like a beautiful, little drill sergeant (in the BEST way possible!) I sent my bridesmaids and quite a few guests who needed alterations over to her, as well. The women who work there are nice, accomodating, HONEST, and extremely helpful. It's a very warm atmosphere, unlike the large bridal chains. The dresses are unique and they have a large variety to choose from. The prices are more than reasonable, as well. Emelina's truly wants you to look and feel beautiful...and I highly recommend the shop!!

I was looking for a very simple yet elegant lace form fitting dress and I couldn't find anything even close to what I was looking for in the big bridal shops. I went to Emelina's and she had a few for me to chose from until I found my dream dress. The price was fantastic! The alterations were done correctly after just 1 dress fitting appointment and I didn't have to wait weeks and weeks like you have to do with the big shops. Mine were done in 1 week.

My name is CeCe-I was going to my Niece's wedding and I wanted to wear the dress I wore at my daughters wedding since I paid a fortune for it-one problem-that was seven years ago and the beaded top was very small for me.
When I arrived my daughter and I were greeted and introduced to Emelina and her seamstress.
They looked at the beaded top on me and it was at least 10 inches too small. This would be a miracle
to have this fixed, but I had all the confidence in her and her staff.
I thought this was going to impossible but they assured me it could be done, and it was! The beaded top looked as if nothing was done to it-the lace and beads looked perfect couldn't even tell it was worked on. People who were at my daughters wedding couldn't believe I could still wear the dress after all these years!
Thank you for making my Nieces wedding so comfortable-I will recommend you to all.

My mom and I drove 2 hours to look at what was supposed to be a promising bridal store in Tampa after we were completely disappointed I called Emelina's and asked for a same day appointment!! Even though they were busy that day she worked me in and I found my wedding dress that day... Plus it was on sale!! Great people and wonderful purchase!!

I purchased my wedding dress from Emelina's and I can't say enough about how beautiful I felt in my dress! It was absolutely stunning! When I first got engaged, I went the traditional route of shopping at Davids' Bridal, Alfred Angelo's, etc., but nothing I liked was in my budget (after alterations). My mom found Emelina's and we didn't look back!

Emelina and her staff are so sweet and professional. My dress (with alterations) fit perfectly in my modest budget, and I didn't have to compromise my style and taste. Being the first of my friends, and siblings to marry, I will have the chance to boast about and recommend Emelina's to all of them.

I am the Mother of the Bride, and was soooo nervous being a size 16 and wanting to look my best for my daughter since I was walking her down the isle. Emelina made me feel beautiful will her kind words and caring hands with every little detail. She altered my dress several times, even one more time 30 minutes before I walked out with my dress! I did not realize how much detail and care she put into this dress until I saw it in the wedding picture! She was right, The dress was perfect for me in every way. I walked in and looked at all the tags and was ready to walk out. Then a lady named Janet walked up and asked if we had an appt and what we were looking for and how much. It was nice that they took the time to ask. Im not kidding every other bridal store looked at me and told me they wont have anything in my size and pretty much told me to get lost. I felt my buissness was appreciated at Emelinas. They knew my budget and since the dress was a little over she reduced the alterations in half. I got a call a couple months after I purchased it and explained to me another bride wants my dress and because the dress was her size and she went shopping last minute they wanted to give her my dress and order me a new one. She said she would waive all the alterations because id be helping another bride. I would have gone there in the beginning if had known how great the people treat their customers. I did not expect to walk out of there with the dress crossed off my to do list. Go to this shop before anywhere else.

My son's fiance, her mom and I went shopping for a Wedding Dress. We had a limited budget and her being a smaller size had been such a disappointment at other bridal shops. We stopped here and they have a huge selection of dress in EVERY price range. Most places blew us off or told her sorry honey we don't have anything in your size. Finding that special dress was becoming a let down.

One of the caring women in the shop asked if we had an appointment and we didn't we just pulled in when we saw the sign. No problem. She asked about the budget and found a dress. Not exactly what we were looking for. Janet asked what the budget was for dress and alterations. She returned with 2 more dresses. One was out, not the style she wanted but the other was close. The dress was a little more but worked with us on the alterations and it worked in the budget. They are able to remove straps and it is now the perfect dress she was looking for.

This shop has amazing caring women who want every bride to find the dress of their dreams. They speak Spanish, we don't and never felt as if they were talking about us. They communicated with the seamstress, non English speaking, asked our questions and eased our concerns.

I would recommend this place to every bride no matter her budget nor her size. I have this place tagged as a favorite for one day when my daughter gets married. I have already passed out the info to friends who's daughters are getting married.

Today my daughter got the dress of her dreams.... Thank you so much ladies.

I am so grateful to the ladies at Emelina's for helping me find the perfect dress. I wanted to look like a princess on my wedding day and I did. I got so many compliments on my dress! They were very flexible when it came to scheduling appointments and fittings which I greatly appreciated. Their seamstress kept altering my dress until it was exactly how I wanted it. We had such a great experience working with the staff at Emelina's. From the first day we went in to look at and try on dresses, the service was exceptional. I found the dress I wanted and they promptly ordered it and was very good communicating with me to let me know when it came in and when we could set up an appointment.

My fittings all went well and they usually had a room already set up for me with my dress hung up and ready to try on as I arrived. Janette in particular was wonderful to work with, showing a lot of patience with us and showing us multiple times how to properly lace up the corsette back. The staff worked very hard to get the dress to fit perfectly, especially considering I had lost more weight each time I went in for a fitting. They were very consistent and accommodating, even considering my weird work schedule. I am very thankful we did business with Olga's and will be using them for future dress alterations because they did such great work and were so easy to work with.

I love my dress so much I have wanted to wear it every day since our wedding! When I came in to try on dresses, the Emelina's team was great and pulled different dresses for me to try on so I could figure out what styleI liked the best. From there, they were able to match me up with the dress of my dreams. After my dress arrived, the girls at Emelina's made the dress fit me like a glove. The quality of Emelina's dresses are awesome and they have experinced seamstresses to make sure you look fabulous on the big day. Thank you Emelina and team for all your help!

Everyone at Emelina's Bridal & boutique is fabulous. There service will definitely exceed your expectations. I purchased my dress (which is gorgeous) and rented the guys tuxes there. I went to Florida on vacation to see my in-laws and had no intention to buy a dress. I went and dealt with Emelina herself. She was so helpful and great and new EXACTLY what i wanted. She also was able to add sleeves to my dress and ship it right to my house in NJ. I got the dress before she told me i would get it and i loved it even more than i had loved it in the store!!!

If you are a Tampa bride you should start your bridal dress search here! The staff was incredibly friendly and professional every time I interacted with them. I found my dream dress here during my first visit for under $800. The dress looked and felt like $5,000 (I know because I tried on other designer dresses!). The staff even altered my dress for a very affordable price (note: they include free alterations for a dress $999 or more!). The alterations of my dress and my bridesmaids were impeccable. I loved working with Janet & Emelina! Janet was great at helping this picky bride & found the perfect dress for me. Emelina & her staff worked with us for all the alterations for myself & my bridal party. We got married during prom season so all of the fittings & alterations were handled impeckably graceful because this shop can deal with a high demand. I got my wedding dress here as well as the MOB and MOG dresses and the bridesmaid dresses. This boutique is a hidden gem! The dress selection is awesome and the alterations that are included are even better. Everything turned out great and the ladies there are wonderful!

I had to order my wedding dress directly from the designer and Emelina's took care of everything for me. They measured me and ordered my dress. When it came in, they took care of all the alterations and they made that dress look like it was made just for me! All of the ladies in the shop were so helpful and very nice. I even took my daughter's bridesmaid dress that I had to get at another shop to Emelina for alterations and it look fantastic! I will definitely be back to Emelina's for all my formal wear and alterations!

I could not imagine getting married and not getting my dress from Emelina's. When I tried it on, I instantly loved it. It was a little bit more money than I had expected to pay but they saw how much I loved my dress and gave me free alterations. They also had to convince and pay the designer of the dress more money to make my dress for me because they had just discontinued the design. Janet worked very hard for me and I ended up getting my dress and it was perfect!

Love this store! NOT stuck up like your usual dress shop! I walked in and described what I was looking for and went into the dressing room to try on what they had picked. The second dress was THE ONE! It absolutely took my breath away! It was gorgeous AND ONLY $700!!! Two months later it was ready to be picked up! That's all! They made it so simple!

Emilina's is a true hidden gem in Tampa. After buying my husband's suit for the wedding, we realized that although we loved the material and the cut of most of it, we hated the pleats on the pants. I called several different places in town and was told that it was not possible to remove the pleats, or that it would be in the hundreds of dollars to do so. After hearing about Emelina's from a friend, we decided to give her a try....and I'm so glad we did! She ended up removing the pleats, redoing the waistline, and fixing the hem, all for under $50! Her prices were outstanding and the craftsmanship of her work is second to none. No one could tell his pants were altered, including us! I also got my bridal headpiece from her shop, another great value! I would recommend Emelina's to anyone who needed alterations of any kind!

Janet at this boutique was beyond helpful. I needed to find a dress for my daughter's Surprise Sweet 16 which, of course, meant, my daughter would have nothing to do with the choosing of this dress or even try it on prior to her big day. I found a dress in a magazine which Janet in turn found the vendor and found the exact dress but a couple sizes too big and we ordered it. Janet helped me figure out how to size it without my daughter knowing and alter it all in every way without my daughter ever present or knowing. They held it for me at the store until the big day and it fit my daughter like a glove.

Emelina's was the most personal business to buy a dress from. The store had many wedding dresses which were reasonably priced. I was able to find a beautiful gown that hasn't been worn by a million brides (like those sold at some stores). The alterations were amazing! After I ordered my dress I found out I was PREGNANT! Emelina was able to take out my size 8 dress around the waist to camoflage my four month bump! No one could tell I was pregnant! THey were amazing.

I can not say enough about this store. They are superb and they are a hidden jewel in the bridal industry. I walked in not quite sure that I would even find anything decent, yet she kept pulling out gorgeous dress after gorgeous dress. The prices are quite reasonable and her alteration skills are magical. All the service the bride receives for just purchasing the dress there makes it a great deal. She was also the one that helped me solve the bridesmaid dress disaster (Demetrio's Bridal forgot to order the bridesmaid dresses and then wanted me to order a similar dress in a different color). Emelina worked wonders to get five bridesmaids fitted into the right dress and the right color and the shoes too!

These ladies were wonderful!! Friendly and VERY good at what they do. My alterations ended up being a tad pricey, but they had to take out my dress and then take it back in. :) I would recommend them to everyone!

The ladies at Emelina's did an excellent job altering my wedding dress. It had complicated lace that had to be re-sewn in many places after the alternations, and I was very nervous about getting this done. But you couldn't even tell that the dress had been altered - it was perfect.

After going to many dress shops looking for my perfect dress, I found it but it was out of my budget. After looking at Alterations & Creations, they were able to order my dream dress a lot cheaper than the place I originally found it. Also they gave me a great deal on in-house alterations. This is a family run business and all of the women are so nice and kind to work with. They have great accessories here too - I found an awesome bracelet to go with my dress. The alterations done on my dress were wonderful and the french bustle looked amazing!

Emelina's Bridal did such a wonderful job altering my wedding dress. It had alot of beading and detail and you could not even tell it was altered. We went in 1 week, and it was done about a week later. They were so helpful, I didn't even have to tell the ladies where to take it in, I put it on and she started pinning,lol. They did a beautiful job on the bustle and even showed my mom how to do it. I was so happy to find a bridal shop that would alter a dress that wasn't bought from them. The best place to go to get a dress altered. Thanks so much ladies!!

Emelina and her staff are amazing! I found the dress of my dreams in a magazine, went online to find a vendor, and went to Emelina's to try it on. She was the closest one in the area to carry my dress, and man am I glad it was her. I've worked at David's Bridal, so I know the nightmare that is that store (plus their alterations staff). UGH! I wasn't about to go that route. I went to Emelina's tried the dress on and decided it was it! Of course, my family and even the staff recommended that I try other dresses just in case. I tried others on and they were great, but my heart was set on that one dress. I ordered it that day!! Sharon found me a veil that looks like it was made custom for my dress and jewelry that fit perfectly with my attire! They made me feel at home and they really took care of me! Also, they went above and beyond for my bussel.

Don't let the fact that their business is in a somewhat bad area of Tampa and the fact that Spanish is the first language scare you away. They are absolutely wonderful and you are crazy if you'd rather waste your time at David's Bridal over people like Emelina who really care about you.

When searching for my wedding dress i traveled to many different places. When i arrived at Emelina's they were very helpful and understood everything that i was looking for. They had a great selection and i ended up finding the perfect one. They did all alterations in-house, and even added some customized touches to my dress making it one of a kind. There were a few hiccups along the way but they handled everything in the most professional way.

I loved my dress. It was the absolutely last one I tried on after about 20 other dresses. My best friend picked it out and begged me to try it on. Emelinas offered my dress at a fantastic price. They also discounted my veil, gave me free bridal slippers, and automatically include free alternations. Everything went perfect until I went for my fitting. On my first fitting I hated all the bustles they were trying to create for my dress. After trying a few they decided to just do the alterations on the rest of the dress and then I could come back once I found some pictures of what I wanted. On the second fitting they created a very pretty bustle, but then the zipper broke. Now this probably happened from the manufacturer of the dress so I was not going to stress. My dress was ordered a size too big and then was taken in so I know it was not because it was too tight. Then I went to try on my dress again, third fitting and the zipper broke AGAIN. Now I'm freaking out. I honestly thought my dress was going to bust open in the back on my wedding day. They promised everything would be fixed and when I went for my final fitting it was all fixed. Alternations with Emelinas were stressful, but it wasn't entirely their fault. There were absolutely no problems on my wedding day. My dress was beautiful.

I actually purchased my wedding gown in Fort Lauderdale, moved to the Tampa area several months before the wedding, so I needed someplace locally to have my dress altered. From the first time I called, they were wonderful! I had waited until one month before the wedding beacuse I thought I might lose some weight. I called another vendor who scolded me and told me that I had waited too long. When I called Emelina's, they had gotten me in right away. They had the first set of alterations done in 2 days! I was amazed! And they did a fantastic job! My wedding was on New Year's Eve so I bought a second dress to change into which I got there. It was a great price, and they altered it at no charge. I also bought my shoes and tiara there! I took my bridesmaid and cousin to have their dresses altered there as well. I read a review about the area where they're located...it isn't the best, but it's accessible, and I was never there more than an hour (usually a lot less). Spanish is also their first language, but I never had a problem with what I needed. They were terrific and I would definitely recommend them to anyone...and use them again if I needed to.

I found a dress that I wanted in a magazine. It was no where to be found. I called the vendor and she was able to send it to a local vendor, Alterations and Creations, for me to try on and see the dress. They were very helpful and made me feel very comfortable about my purchase. They bustled my dress and it was amazing! Ive never seen anything like it. I must have had over 100 snaps to bustle my dress. They also were able to add a comb to my moms veil so that I could wear it for my wedding. Very helpful and considerate. No frills! Excellent!

Great customer service, but not many options

The customer service here was really good but there were not many options for me as a bride. My pant size is 14 so I wear around a size 18 or 20 in bridal gowns. Unfortunately, there were not many options for me there. But like I said, if you're a smaller bride I'm sure you can find something nice here.

Thankfully the dresses were cute and alterations were included because the ladies there are VERY difficult to work with! I had to go in for alterations FOUR times due to a lack of proper measuring. The staff all come across very rude and act as if their errors are your fault, somehow. Their claim to fame is "Alterations and Creations" which made me laugh because they weren't great with them.

I was married 8/12/11 and also had my girls get their dresses from Emelina's, as well as my new mother-in-law. Each of my girls had their own complications with the staff (bad customer service, trouble with alterations, etc). The worst of them all was one of my bridesmaids, who is 5'10" without shoes went with me to pick out the bridesmaids dresses, was there the day we purchased them, and went in person (for the third time being there) to get fitted for the wedding for the first time.... they ordered her dress and it came in TWO INCHES too short! Then the lady looked at us and asked what we wanted to do about it, as if it was our fault the dress was too short??? Stupid.

You will almost always have to wait a little while before someone even asks how they can help you, and then even longer for that help. OH, and another kicker - they don't use computers!! haha. You literally have to stand there while they rummage through a drawer of papers that are all hand written and stuck in one place! No wonder it takes them days to return a call about a simple question...

Although we had a terrible experience working with the people from Emelina's, the dresses they have are beautiful and all alterations are included. After all of the experiences I had working with Emelina's I decided to go against my original idea of bringing in my wedding gown to use them for alterations and brought it to Bella Gente (on Dale Mabry) instead.... best idea I've ever had! I'd consider working with Emelina's as a last resort, at best.

I wish I had better news but the only mishap on my wedding day was a result of Emelina's. I bought my dress at another store and had Emelina's do the alterations. Those went fine and the dress was beautiful!!! Three days before the wedding my dad picked up my dress and brought it to our wedding hotel. The big day: everyone's helping me get ready and the ribbon for my corset is no where to be found. All my wedding party, family etc is looking all over and one friend calls Emelina's to see if they may have it--my friend who called was told they didn't have it and its not their responsibility with no offer to help at all. They were rude and could care less that a bride is standing there with 1.5 hrs till showtime and her dress is wide open in the back. They're very good at their alterations but their customer service was awful. My coordinator found ribbon and we made do but when you spend good money on alterations--they should really make sure all the pieces are in the dress bag and then at least apologize when they screw up.
