The folks at Embark Films were an absolute pleasure to work with. We spoke with Jesse in the weeks leading up to our wedding to go over the plan of the day and discuss what kind of style we would want the final film to be. The communication here was great. Now, we were initially a little put off by the fact that we wouldn’t be meeting our actual videographer in person until the wedding day, but it really was not an issue. These guys are pros who made sure to work with us every step of the way.
Our videographer, Pat, worked seamlessly with our DJ to record the sound system during the ceremony. He also worked around (and sometimes with) our photographer as she was directing everyone. Though that’s not to say he wasn’t willing to call out some shots he wanted to grab as well. Personally, I really appreciated that he did a little directing too, as I knew he was involved and thinking ahead about the story they would have in the final video. When it was time for him to pack up, he came to us to make sure there wasn’t anything else we wanted in the film, then was kind enough to stay late to capture a line dancing event we had planned for the reception.
After the wedding, we watched the highlight film and had a few tweaks to the included voice overs that we wanted to make. They took detailed requests to make sure everything was just right when it came to the final edit and produced some really stellar work. It was exactly the style we were hoping for, with great music choices, and an impeccable flow that brings us and our families so much joy to watch. Pat and Jesse made the whole process simple yet collaborative, and they had the skills to give us some truly special memories. Highly recommend! -

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the entire team at Embark Films. From start to finish, this experience has been more than I ever hoped for.
Patrick, our videographer, was an absolute joy to work with. He has such a gift for putting people at ease—he had everyone laughing and relaxed the whole time, and he made Casey feel so comfortable in front of the camera. That alone meant the world to me. His presence was fun, professional, and calming all at once, which is no easy balance to strike.
Jesse was incredible in managing everything behind the scenes. Her guidance, communication, and care throughout the process gave me complete confidence that we were in the best hands. And to the technical team—thank you for being so gracious with every single change and tweak I asked for. Your patience and dedication shine through in the final product.
As for the films themselves—absolutely breathtaking. Every video is amazing, and the raw footage is such an unexpected treasure. There are little clips tucked in there that made me laugh, cry, and feel so deeply connected to the day all over again. It doesn’t just show what happened—it captures the spirit of it. The personalities, the quirks, the emotions, and yes, the beautiful craziness of our family and friends. That is such a rare and special gift.
I will forever treasure these films. They are real, heartfelt, and priceless.

We really liked Kevin, our videographer, from Embark Films! He captured our special day perfectly. He had a calm presence and took excellent footage of all the stages of our wedding day from getting ready, to first look, ceremony etc. He was awesome.
Embark Films did an excellent job with the video editing as well. We were thrilled with out 3 minute video package. There was a perfect combination of the video highlights, important ceremonial and speech excepts and the music they selected (as we didn't have a preference) pulled it all together.
Additionally, Jesse D, Embark's client mananger, was very helpful and responsive through-out the whole process. Which ensured the video aspect ran smoothly. Highly recommend Embark for your wedding day videographer at an affordable price! -

We were very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Joe as our videographer and communicate with Jesse as our point person throughout the process. Joe was an incredible videographer. He had a warm, fun energy that helped make us feel comfortable and our day feel magical and just easy. Wow. Just wow. From start to finish it was an absolute pleasure to work with everyone at Embark Films. For our big day, Pat and AJ were assigned to us, and right from the beginning we knew they were going to be amazing. Not only did they show time and time again that they were extremely passionate and talented at what they do; they were incredibly nice and interactive on our day as well. We have nothing but nice things to say about them. The excitement and joy they showed while filming our wedding meant the world to us. In fact, they did such a phenomenal job, one of our bridesmaids is already looking to book them for her wedding next year! And that only begins to scratch the surface of showcasing how amazing this team was. We cannot wait to see the video of course, but just having Pat and AJ spend the day with us was reason enough to praise this team. 10/10, cannot recommend them enough! -

What a joy it was to work with Jesse from Embark Films on our wedding day.
They had non-stop communication during the booking process, answered all my questions and offered tweeks to packages to satisfy our needs. Leading up to our wedding day, Michael was so kind and chatty during our calls about what we really wanted to see in our videos. Embark Films was incredible to work with during our entire process for our wedding video! The attention to detail of the staff leading up to the event was very much appreciated. As for the day of - the videographers/cinematographers were so much fun and knew exactly what we should do to get the perfect shots. As for our wedding video, we couldn't be happier with the results! We've had several family and friends compliment the video saying how professional it looks. Every time we watch the video it puts us right back in the moment to our big day. Not only did we receive a 5 minute highlight film, but also a 1 hour long film which was fully edited, and contained everything from our wedding day. On top of that, each sub-video of the speeches, ceremony, cake cutting, first look, and dances are all fully edited videos as well. We were blown away by this and couldn't recommend using Embark Films more! 11/10 stars! -

My wife and I were reviewing our film after almost 5 years of marriage and still agree on the fact that hiring Embark Films was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Excellent people to work with who have incredible talent and know how to have fun and blend into the light wedding atmosphere without losing professionalism and quality. My husband and I would work with Embark Films 100 times over again. They were so professional during the planning process and made us, our bridal party and guests so comfortable being filmed. Our video turned out amazing and we were able to work with the editing team to ensure the shots we loved most were captured and included in our video. My advise to future brides and grooms is to definitely work videography into your budget. It's absolutely worth it. -

I can’t even put into words how happy I am with the highlight film Embark made for us. The quality of the video is amazing. The way they pieced together all the special moments of our day into 3 1/2 minutes is so impressive. Everyone who watched our video was in awe of how beautiful it came out. Not to mention, the videographers who worked with us were so kind and patient, as well as creative and talented. We were not completely sold on having a videographer for our wedding until we saw samples on the Embark Films website. They had one engagement video that spoke to our exact personalities and interests and they were highly recommended to us from our photographer.
Dmitry and his team completely exceeded our expectations with the final product. It was so fun to watch them film all the small details from different angles. Our guests still comment to this day how mesmerizing it was to watch them capture our memories without being intrusive. Although it did take longer to receive the final version than we had anticipated, we did ask for a few edits which they happily obliged to. The video quality is top notch and the music selections they made for the film are spot on.
You will not be disappointed with Embark Films capturing your special day. Plus, the final packaging they send you with your wedding USB and hard drive is an incredible personalized keepsake! -

Where shall I begin? The moment I fell in love with the artistry of Embark I knew I had to have them for my wedding. I instantly contacted them and connected with Dmitry. We weren't going to have our wedding filmed, but we changed our minds after seeing the beautiful video they created for my sister's wedding. Definitely one of the easiest and best decisions we made for our wedding day! They are very professional - there to capture all the important shots but not intrusive or in your face. Dmitry and Dan were so easygoing to work with on the wedding day and with with making edits following that. They made us feel like they truly enjoyed being at our wedding. Such nice guys and so artistic and creative. We were blown away with the video they produced (as well as everyone who saw it)! I still can't stop watching it :) -

Booking with Dmitry was the easiest decision we made. His energetic personality made capturing our wedding events so much fun! He is extremely creative and get to know the couple so that he can provide exactly what they want in their weddig video. Everytime I email Dmitry about a question or a little detail I wanted him to include in the video he responded within 24 hours. I received my hilight video a few weeks after my wedding, it was extremely quick! We also received a personalized wooden box with an engraved usb and external hard drive of all the captured footage of the day. My experience with Dmitry was outstanding! He met all of our expectations and then some! My friends and family are eager to have Dmitry capture their weddings in the future. He did an amazing job!!! -

We went back and forth on whether or not to get a videographer, but we ended up going with Embark Films and it was an investment well spent! They deliver high quality work at a good price and are easy to work with. Our videographer was punctual, friendly, communicative and captured so much great footage throughout the day. The end product of our wedding video was absolutely stunning and brought back so many wonderful memories of our special day. I definitely recommend working with Embark Films. The process was smooth from beginning to end and we now have a beautiful wedding video that we will always cherish. -

We chose Embark specifically based off of their 5-star review, and it would feel like an injustice to others to not share our story with anyone considering this company based off of reviews, as we feel we were severely misled.
We purchased the best/most expensive package from Embark that included a videographer and cinematographer. Sadly, a large amount of our wedding footage was lost, allegedly due to the death of one of our wedding shooters a week following our event. Embark DID give us a full refund. However, the information we received about the situation didn’t add up, from the timeframe that they told us he passed (which was inaccurate) to the fact that there still was footage we received taken by this shooter. It was never explained to us why our “backed up footage” would be on a videographers personal computer where it couldn’t be recovered. We also weren’t even informed that the majority of our footage was lost until over 5 months after our wedding.
Unfortunately, we had issues well before discovering the loss of our footage. The shooters were very much in the way of our day, unprofessionally dressed and standing as if they were a part of the wedding party during our ceremony. We had actually already received a partial refund from the company based on the behaviors of them that day. They are in dozens of our photos and every single ceremony photo taken by our guests, who some even stated they were so distracted by the videographers open mouth gum chewing directly behind the groom that they really weren’t able to focus on any of the ceremony. We specifically chose a company that was able to capture drone footage, and while it was said that this footage was lost with the rest, not a single one of our 200+ guests recall seeing a drone at any point during our wedding. Our reputable photographer stated that these were the most unprofessional videographers she had worked with in her 10+ years of shooting weddings. It also took 8 months to receive our final footage, while 60 days are what is advertised. The film editors do not know anything about the couples in the films, so I had to request things as simple as “please include my mother literally anywhere in this film”, more than once. And you only have a certain amount of requested edits to your film, regardless of the package purchased.
For the same price, you can easily find a videographer who will get to know you as a couple, and film, edit, and finalize your wedding video specific to your preferences and knowing what is special to you. It’s so disappointing to see larger companies like this charge the same and send random people you will meet day of, and then an entirely different set of people who factory out wedding videos with no knowledge of the couple.Embark Films's reply:
