Elysium Quartet was incredible - I truly cannot say enough good things. They went above and beyond to make our wedding everything we imagined it to be. Julie and her team at Elysium were amazing. I didn’t really know what I wanted—just that I wanted strings—but they made it all come together perfectly. The music was such a highlight of the day (besides my dress, obviously).
My guests couldn’t stop talking about how cool the modern songs sounded on strings. It was so unique and added a vibe that felt totally us.
Plus, the whole process was so easy. They helped with all the little details I didn’t even know I needed to think about. Totally worth it for the quality and the experience.
10/10 would recommend Elysium. If I could do it all over again, I wouldn’t change a thing.

They sounded so beautiful and really gave the whole evening a sense of real class (and hearing the quartet inside the Glen Foerd mansion was a match made in heaven). Julie was so easy to work with. Provided a list of their repertoire early on. They played for our ceremony and one and half hour cocktail reception. Everyone raved about them and said how classy their sound was. Highly recommend and will hopefully be booking them in the future.

Heavenly Music for a Perfect Wedding
The best decision I made for our wedding was having Elysium Quartet play at our wedding and cocktail hour. The church sounded heavenly with the sound of the strings playing from start to finish during our ceremony. So many of our guest complemented them to us as we made our way around the room during our reception. I would strongly recommend having them play at your wedding if possible. Julie worked with the church music director on the arrangements of songs I selected and everything came together perfectly. I honestly can't say enough of how wonderful they sounded! Excellent String Duet (or Trio or Quartet)
In short, Elysium was excellent. They offer several options (duet, trio, quartet), all very reasonably priced, and they are very easy to deal with leading up to the wedding. They have a great combination of modern and classical songs that you can select from and sounded great during our ceremony and cocktail hour.
One of our favorite vendors and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to add a live music element to their wedding at a reasonable value!

Elegant Ceremony
Our daughter's wedding couldn't have been more perfect!! We held a traditional Catholic mass and Elysium Quartet provided the strings and harp as well as a soloist. We received so many comments from our guests on how beautiful the music was and how elegant the wedding ceremony was due to the musicians. Julie from Elysium Quartet reassured me through the entire process. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Elysium Quartet was AMAZING!
Elysium Quartet was amazing! We had their trio - cello, violin and viola - play at my daughters wedding yesterday from the time guests arrived through the ceremony and during the cocktail hour. Julie is professional and thorough and very easy to work with which is a huge plus when trying to maneuver all the moving parts of wedding planning. They sounded incredible and surpassed all of our expectations! Would hire them again in a heartbeat.

We cannot recommend the Elysium Quartet enough. They played both the ceremony and cocktail hour, and even agreed to accompany a family friend who sang a solo during the ceremony. Everything was beautiful and we received numerous compliments from our guests both on the quality of the music and their range (hymns, classical, jazz, movie soundtracks, pop, and everything in between). Julie was great to work with during the entire planning process, including when we had to reschedule due to Covid. From their professionalism, communication, and flexibility to the pure quality of the group's performance, the Elysium Quartet was a highlight of our wedding day.

Wonderful Addition to our daughter's wedding!
Thank you Elysium! We had a trio play at our daughter's wedding and they were wonderful. They played outside during the ceremony at the John James Audubon Center (totally flexible as we didn't know what the weather would be like until the last minute) and then in the barn for the cocktail hour. Timeless Elegance!
One thing my now husband and I knew going into the wedding planning process was how much we appreciate classical music. When I mentioned the idea of a string quartet for our ceremony, he said, "yes!" before I could finish my question. After doing some research, we found Elysium Quartet. We listened to their repertoire samples on the website, and I had chills the entire time, knowing that for both our ceremony and cocktail hour... they were the perfect match for us. I reached out to Julie, who was incredibly kind, responsive, and accommodating throughout the entire process. I had a special request for a custom processional piece, and without missing a beat, Elysium arranged it for us and played it SO eloquently. All of our guests were amazed by the quality of the music and how it made for an elegant wedding to remember! Not only are they the best in the Lehigh Valley, but they're also the best I've ever heard!

Hire this group!
My husband and I hired the Elysium Quartet to play at my sister-in-law’s wedding, as this was going to be our wedding gift. We needed a group to play just for the ceremony, as well as 30 or so minutes of prelude music. They were perfect…great to work with, and they were very accommodating in terms of the music requests. I actually called them the night before the wedding to request a change in the Bride’s processional music. Julie was happy to make the change at the last minute, and she assured me that everything would go smoothly. On the day of the wedding, it couldn’t have gone any better. Their prelude music was a mixture of traditional classical tunes that you would expect to hear at a wedding, but also some modern pieces that really caught the audience’s attention. When the ceremony started, they transitioned seamlessly from the different pieces that we had chosen for the wedding party and the bride’s processional. The bride received so many compliments about how great they sounded. I know some weddings choose not to use live music for the ceremony to keep costs down, but I am so glad that we decided to hire them as a gift. They helped create the perfect atmosphere to the ceremony, and they sounded amazing.

Nothing short of AMAZING!
They were so accommodating for our wedding that had to be postponed due to COVID. Elysium is a string quartet with an amazing repertoire! Bach, Pop, & Rock are just the beginning. Check out their website to hear them perform and to view their extensive repertoire. Provide a Sense of Beauty and Grandeur to Your Wedding!
We truly can't say enough about Julie and everyone involved at Elysium Quartet! While planning our wedding, we knew very early on that we wanted the beauty that only a string quartet could provide for our special day. Throughout the entire process of arranging for the Elysium Quartet to perform at our wedding, Julie was prompt, responsive, informative and always eager to provide all of the information we requested. Additionally, as we decided on a Sunday ceremony, their willingness to be available and the excited nature they approached the opportunity with was remarkable.
Though our wedding day was blessed with showers, Julie and the Elysium musicians never failed to carry themselves with the same caring and professional nature they displayed during the months leading up to our special day. They were ever so willing to make the necessary arrangements to perform in an alternative location under the pavilion tent we had provided, situated amongst all of our family members and guests, and the results were simply stunning! The music performed, with great help from Julie to ensure all of the pieces selected were exactly what we were hoping for, was truly like something out of a fairy tale. Their repertoire provided a surreal beauty and grandeur to all of the special moments of our day, from the procession of our wedding party, the entrance of the bride and the cocktail hour that followed. The incredible remarks we received from all of our guests afterwards, and continue to receive, speak volumes to the impact that the Elysium Quartet had on our most special of days!
While couples may become engulfed with the overwhelming tasks of planning a wedding and the challenges that may arise, if you are considering having a string quartet perform at your wedding, choose the Elysium String Quartet! The Best Wedding Musicians
Julie and Elysium were absolutely amazing. Brilliant musicians that were so easy to work with it. We had a pianist and violinist play our cocktail hour and our guests have literally not stopped raving since. We had the Elysium Quartet play for our church organist/choir director’s retirement celebration dinner. They were a pleasure to work with from first contact to the end of the event.
Their selection of classical and jazz music was excellent as was their musicality. This size ensemble provided the right level of sound for this event. You could hear the music, but still be able to converse with people across the table.

She truly cares about making the couple happy, and will go above and beyond to ensure that everything is just as they imagine it. She graciously accommodated our every request, as unconventional as they were, and even agreed to play the arrangements I wrote without question or hesitation. It was such a joy to be able to give this gift to my sister, and it would not have been possible without Julie’s kind understanding of how important this was to us. Hearing those arrangements played by such consummate musicians was more than I could have ever hoped for or imagined. I am deeply grateful for everything they did for us. They truly exceeded my expectations in every respect, and I cannot recommend them highly enough!

We had Elysium perform at my daughters wedding a few weeks ago. It was an outdoor venue. I have nothing but great things to say about them. This ensemble is amazing! We were very impressed and all of our guests agreed that having them perform, made the wedding that much more beautiful and elegant. We had them stay and play for the cocktail hour, as well! The original musicians we booked were unable to attend our wedding at the last minute. Fortunately, Elysium Quartet was able to step in as a replacement. We were so pleased with the music the quartet provided for our cocktail hour and luncheon (4 hours total). Several guests went out of their way to let us know how impressed they were with the music and the relaxing environment it created for our celebration.

I have a classical music background, as do many of our guests, so we needed a quartet that knew what they were doing and would be extremely skilled and professional. Elysium did not disappoint! Each of their musicians has a long resume of education and experience in their craft, and most (or all?) play with professional symphonies. Their presence added a special, elegant feel to our wedding ceremony. We were married in a very large church, and having the quartet there made the church feel less cavernous and more intimate and personal. Working with Julie was very easy. She even prepared an arrangement of a piece that was special to us, for use as our recessional, and she provided fantastic recommendations for music at other points in the ceremony. The value that the quartet added to our ceremony was very high, and the cost was surprisingly low especially considering the great service. Highly recommend this vendor!!

Julie was wonderful to work with and was extremely responsive. She gave me advice on my bridal processional music and led me to the perfect song. I was blown away by their professionalism, follow-up, and of course, their performance on my big day. Julie was great at addressing my questions/questions as they arose. We contacted Elysium a little over a year prior to our wedding date. Considering the small and intimate size of our wedding my fiance and I decided we wanted the trio for the wedding, cocktail hour and reception. We wound up being so happy that we did! Most of our communication was by email and there was some by phone, and they helped us with everything from choosing the best size group (we didn't really know the difference between trio and quartet besides the obvious difference) and the music to all the details of the ceremony and how the music fit into the day. The music was such an important part of the day without being too much of a focus and detracting from the other aspects of the day--it was a perfect complement to all the other details we planned so carefully. We also wanted some special requests, which they accommodated; it meant a lot to us to have "our" songs. We got lots of positive comments, even from people we didn't expect would notice the music very much, so we know it made an impact on our guests. It was also nice to have the continuity from the ceremony to the cocktail hour and reception with the same group but a somewhat different style of music for the ceremony vs. the cocktail and reception. It was a great decision for us and I highly recommend Elysium!

As the Father of the Bride ( Rachel Claghorn, now MacKenzie), I assisted with the coordination of the string music with the Elysium Quartet on October 11, 2014 at Scotland Run Golf Club in Williamstown, NJ. The music of the Elysium Quartet was absolutely gorgeous and their presence and performance at this once in a lifetime event was special in every way. My only regret was that I was not able to hear the prelude pieces prior to walking Rachel down the isle, but from the rave reviews from our guests, the music was touching and beautiful.
The cocktail reception pieces were exactly as we had arranged and we could have listened to the quartet play all night. The Elysium Quartet is a "5 Star" group that I would recommend to anyone needing a string ensemble for their wedding or very special occasion. We had Elysium play for our ceremony and cocktail hour, and we are so glad we did! My husband and I both love music and we wanted something that would be classy but also laid back and flexible, and we were so happy with the way things turned out. I think sometimes people think strings have to play just classical music, but we had a mix of songs. Actually I kind of thought that too until we heard them play in person and I knew we had to have them! They played mainly more classical music for our ceremony and then a special song we chose, and a mix of more popular songs from the radio for the cocktail hour. It totally set the right mood.
Unfortunately, all I got to hear was when I walked down the aisle, and the ceremony and a little bit of the cocktail hour because things were so hectic for me, but we also got them on our wedding video and they sound so good on it! It was so beautiful. A lot of our guests made comments about the music to us, so I know it was amazing even when I couldn't be there to listen to it and enjoy it. This was a great decision for us and we will definitely recommend it to our friends who are getting married.

We were so pleased with the Elysium Quartet. We had a full Catholic Mass and the quartet was extremely professional every step of the way. The music fit seamlessly into every part of the Mass and added uniqueness and elegance to the day. It was clear that the musicians were all very experienced, knowledgeable and talented. The quartet also played at our cocktail hour. They played beautiful and interesting music that really set the tone of the night. We received so many compliments from our guests about the music! We couldn't be happier with our whole experience with Elysium Quartet. Thank you!

Elysium Quartet was the perfect addition to our wedding day! The music was absolutely wonderful, and we received several compliments from guests regarding the quality of the players. Their performance resonated beautifully in the Egner Memorial Chapel at Muhlenberg College. We would definitely recommend Elysium to anyone getting married in or around the Lehigh Valley! They were wonderful to work with!!

Words cannot describe how pleased I was with having Elysium Quartet play my wedding ceremony. Our wedding music for our hour long Catholic mass was absolutely beautiful. On top of having 4 skilled musicians, I wanted to pick a quartet who plays together on a regular basis to ensure that everything seems cohesive. Elysisum is all that, and more! In addition, I had a specially arranged song for my walk down the aisle, and the extra fee was very reasonable, considering all the work that had gone into it (writing the arrangement, practicing it, etc). The song turned out beautiful and it was definitely a special touch for my big day. Thank you again, Elysium String Quartet, for making my ceremony so beautiful! You are all so talented and did a wonderful job!

The Elysium Quartet is awesome! I hired them to provide a violin duo for my ceremony music, and my new husband and I were so pleased with their performance. So many guests approached us to mention what an elegant touch they added to the ceremony, and I have to agree with them! Julie was so accommodating (as I was the worlds worst last minute bride) and I literally had her on the phone at 10:30 pm the night before my wedding as I tried to make final decisions. Even in such a ridiculous situation she was able to provide me with everything that I wanted, including a duet version of "All You Need is Love" that had to be arranged for us. Hiring live performers is not a cheap option, but the Elysium Quartet can't be beat if you are looking for a great value and beautiful addition to any wedding.

Elysium Quartet did a fantastic job at my wedding! I played the violin up to my senior year in high school so it was very important for me to have strings at my ceremony. I was willing to spend a little money for a good group in order for it to be special. I probably called almost 10 different groups, and Elysium definitely stood out. Their price was more reasonable than a lot of other groups, and they were also very responsive and easy going throughout the whole search process. Julie answered all my questions and made me feel at ease with the planning. We had a Catholic mass, with just strings and a cantor, so I wanted to make sure they could work with the cantor to play all of the mass music and traditional Catholic pieces. They had no problem syncing up with the cantor and communicating before the big day.
On my wedding day, due to how the church was set up, they actually were on the balcony, so unfortunately I never even got to meet Julie or the rest of the trio. However, as I sat up on the altar, it sounded absolutely beautiful. Their music truly made the mass so perfect and memorable, and I am very thankful to have had them be a part of my big day!

We had a great experience with Elysium. The music was beautiful and many people commented specifically about it. They were easy to work with leading up to the day and very flexible on music selection and what instruments to use when.

I used Elysium (trio) for my wedding ceremony music and everything sounded great. I had requests for some songs (e.g., entrance and exit music) but just let them choose what to play before the ceremony started. I didn't have much time to be picky about every song and I trusted them to play good music. Many of the guests commented on how wonderful the music was. From start to finish, it was an easy process and I definitely recommend them!

We had a cello and violin duo for our wedding ceremony and they were absolutely wonderful! The music sounded beautiful and Julie was very easy to work with throughout the process. They were able to play classic as well as contemporary songs. Compared to other duos that we contacted, Elysium was a little less expensive. Would definitely recommend to others!

A magical moment at our ceremony
Working with the Elysium team was so easy, and their talents made the day magical. They guided us through the music selection process, especially when we got stuck on choices. We asked them to arrange a specific song for the bride’s walk down the aisle that wasn’t in their repertoire, and it helped the ceremony be everything we wanted. Their contributions were a perfect start to the rest of our day. We would recommend them to everyone.

Julie with Elysium Quartet was amazing to work with. She was very helpful not only with providing information on what her and her company could provide for my wedding day, but also very knowledgable in music choices for the day of. She was so helpful with suggestions, as I was not sure what I wanted to play. I recommend her as a solo violinist if you are working with a budget at minimum, as I'm sure the quartet as a whole would have been amazing. The violin added exactly the perfect touch for our ceremony.

The Elysium Quartet did an exemplary job playing at our wedding ceremony and reception and I would recommend them wholeheartedly.They played with good intonation & beautiful tone and their program was very appropriate for the occasion. An Element of Elegance
John and I were married on June 21st and we both wanted a low key wedding. The only thing we had our hearts set on was having string music as part of our ceremony and reception. Being both musicians ourselves, we set a high standard for our special day. We researched multiple vendors in our area and found Elysium Quartet. We were impressed with their wide musical repertoire and their overall musical playing abilities. We couldn’t be any happier with our decision.
From classical to Broadway to modern pop, the string trio performed with such elegance and professionalism. We also asked for 2 special songs (one which was a complete surprise to me!) that were not part of their set list, and they were more than happy to accommodate our requests. Both were beautifully arranged, leaving tears of joy throughout the room, including the groom. They wowed us and our guests, and to this day, we still receive compliments on their performance. Our only regret is that we were not able to listen to them play during the reception, due to our social obligations, but from what we saw, they had a captive audience of our guests until their final song. They were definitely the highlight of the party.
You cannot go wrong with choosing Elysium for your special day!

Sounded good from what I remember
From what I remember, they sounded good. However, the cellist ended up not showing up. Apparently, he got sick on his way there. That was a bummer because we ended up with just a violin and viola. But they ended up sending me a check for the difference with an apology card, which was nice. That's my only complaint, but if I were still a bride, I'd want to know that happened.

Julie and Elysium Quartet were extremely accommodating through every aspect of our wedding day. They charge extra for songs you want them to learn, and they didn't even charge us for one of them! As Julie put it, "we should know 'Over the Rainbow' by now."
Our wedding day was cloudy and muggy with a 80% chance of thunderstorms-- big problem for musicians. We ultimately had to move them from where they were supposed to be set up, which was no problem for Elysium Quartet. I had also requested that the quartet play one of our song choices, "Moon River," just before the ceremony started so my grandfather could hear it. Although he couldn't hear it from where he was seated, he asked them to play it again once the ceremony was over. He was thrilled to have a private show!
The cherry on top came a month later when Elysium Quartet said some kind words and posted photos from our wedding day on their Facebook page. I'm so glad they enjoyed the day as much as our guests did!
I can't speak much about the classical songs they play, but if you're more of a modern couple like my husband and I, I would highly recommend booking Elysium Quartet. Their repertoire is amazing, and they price is great, too!

The musicians played beautifully at my church wedding ceremony on May 15th of this year. They sounded amazing along side our church organist. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone needing a touch of elegance to their wedding day!
