  Betty Johnson helped so much in planning my wedding - especially with me planning from an out of town location in Maryland. My mom met with her in person in Dec 2011 which helped decide it was the perfect place for the wedding ceremony. After that time, Betty and I exchanged countless emails. Her response time was always quick and she was sure to let me know if she would be out of the office for any amount of time. She would always get the answers to questions I asked - from ordering a red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting to measuring the height from floor to ceiling of the dias. When I arrived in Memphis, I spoke with Betty on the phone and she encouraged me to come by the chapel before the day of the ceremony to tour it. During this time, my vision for setting up my ceremony decorations (which I brought in myself) really came together. Betty was very flexible in what in-house arrangements she would move and in trying out playing the ceremony music from my phone. The day of the wedding went so smooth - it was absolutely perfect. My husband and I can't wait to get our photos from the photographer, Dana. The minister was a kind, southern gentleman and went through the ceremony beautifully. I highly recommend the Chapel in the Woods for a small, close-knit family and friends type of wedding. You will be impressed with it ALL - from Betty's assistance, the beauty of the chapel inside and the grounds, the delicious cake and punch, and the friendly photographer (not to mention the opportunity to take your picture with a small wedding party in front of Graceland)!

  Just think...for the rest of your life, you can tell people you were married at Elvis's house! We loved every minute, as did our 55 guests, and Betty was wonderful and easy to deal with. I especially recommend renting the Cadillac for leaving the Chapel...the car is awesome (with lots of celebrity signatures on the doors),and the guy who drives it is great and will take you on a great tour through Memphis. We love our pictures with this car!

  Beautiful chapel

  Everything was perfect. It was absolutely beautiful and Beth was such a great help on wedding day. It was nice having someone on staff to help the bride the day of.
  The venue is small
  But that is what we were looking for.
  Only 4 stars on value bc guests had to pay $10 to park close to the venue 💔
  I didn’t know this until I went to see the venue.
  I think there is parking close to the venue outside of the chapel/hotel area but I didn’t have enough time to figure this out before hand, also bc we were from out of town.

  Very pretty inside

  The venue is small but adorable. However it is not in the best location, and the outside does not match the inside.

  Hire an outside coordinator

  The chapel itself is a wonderful venue but PLEASE hire an outside coordinator. I recommend la Cherie weddings. Beth, my actual wedding planner from the guest house/the chapel ended up being sick and I did not see another wedding coordinator at all my wedding day. If I had not hired an outside coordinator my wedding day would’ve been horrific. I also didn’t hear from Beth at all that she was sick and would not be there to help with anything.
  
  Overall the wedding was wonderful all thanks to Noel from La Cherie weddings.
