We are absolutely blown away by our photos. They are truly stunning and capture everything that was magical about our day. Elsa is incredibly personable and has this effortless way of making anyone feel comfortable in front of the camera, even my incredibly awkward self.

The first time I met Elsa was for a styled shoot I had done in 2022. I knew from the second I met her that when I had a wedding one day I wanted her to be my photographer! She made me feel so comfortable infront of the camera, she has the most fun personality, and her photos just come out beautifully. So for my wedding day this year I had her! She was absolutely incredible! we had a large wedding and she still managed to get photos of everyone and capture every moment. She was great at directing everyone on what to do and keeping everyone on track/on time. She even offered to do a shoot with us in Glacier a few days after and she sent us over 100 sneak peak photos within days. I truly do think that she is one of the MOST talented photographers in Montana. I would recommend her a thousand times over and over!!! -

The best photographer!
Elsa is AMAZING! If you're thinking about using her as your photographer do not hesitate on booking her as she books up FAST! And for good reason, her work and personality are amazing. She was extremely helpful in planning our day and coming up with a timeline that worked for us. She was more than accommodating and stopped at the spots I wanted and even though time became limited she still captured our day so perfect. Only thing I regret is not living closer to stay friends with her forever cause she is a gem of a human being! -

Look No Further
I had the privilage to work with Elsa for my engagement and wedding photos. She made us feel so relaxed and had us laughing the entire time. The need to know for brides- Elsa provided our fully edited photos very efficiently. My friends and family have raved about them. They are so amazing I couldn't even pick a top ten. My wedding day was smoky (Thank you MT wildfires) and she found a way to make it so moody and beautiful. She is genuine, professional and passionate. The day of my wedding she not only captured every sweet moment, but helped me with last minute details that weren't in her job description. She knows her angles and how to make every person feel like a model. She is up on the trends and will match your style. Her pricing was competetive and wayyyy worth the money. She responded to all of my questions within a day. I literally wouldn't trust any other photographer to do such a thorough, outstanding job. -

We booked Elsa for our Glacier National Park October elopement and we’re ecstatic with the results. I often can’t even explain how amazing the entire experience was. Elsa met us at our hotel , helped me get ready - yes she even perfected my hairstyle! She also coordinated and picked up our cake and flowers!!!
We drove to the park together and felt like friends from the first moment we met putting both of us at ease. Elsa has the eye to capture unposed moments and the love we have for one another with perfection. She found the most breathtaking spots after listening to our desires and timed everything perfectly with the sun setting.
From beginning of our day to the very last flicker of sunlight we spent with Elsa it was amazing. Filled with laughter and love. We cannot recommend this beautiful, talented person enough -

I am not sure where to even start with Elsa and Logan. Elsa is so kind and down to earth, she truly made me feel like I had known her forever. The ride up to our first look I was able to visit with her and her Husband Logan. We laughed and enjoyed the views on the drive, and they really made me feel at ease. To be able to spend our day with someone so incredibly kind, just made our day so much better. Finding Elsa to be our photographer was an absolute blessing, and so meant to be. Mark and I did not have the best luck finding someone to shoot our wedding, we were pretty discouraged having to find someone 2 months before the big day, but as soon as I spoke with Elsa I just knew we got so incredibly lucky to have her! When Elsa and I first started talking about her shooting our big day, she sent the most upbeat and fun voice messages and almost instantly, I felt a friendship form!! There are not enough great things that I can say about her and her husband, they are honestly a dream team and I still feel like it was a dream having her there that day!! I recommend Elsa to all of my friends who are not even engaged yet, haha, because I just want them to experience this amazing Woman! Mark and I are so pleased with our photos! As soon as I got the email that our photos were done, I waited and waited until Mark and I were able to sit down and look at the photos together! OH. MY. GOSH! Did Elsa deliver! I have looked at our photos over, and over again and feel like I am reliving the day! I recommend Elsa to do all of your photos for anything you need! If you want your memories captured so perfectly, while feeling at ease and comfortable, while building an amazing friendship, HIRE HER!!! -

Elsa is amazing!!! We eloped with just my husband and I at GNP. She helped with everything from buttoning my dress to coordinating an amazing first look down a rocky path. Elsa had so many great ideas and brought us to a few locations around the park to capture some amazing pictures and moments. Not to mention, she is a blast to work with. We highly recommend her!! -

Do yourself a favor and choose Elsa Eileen Photography for your special occasion! My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Elsa and her fantastic second shooter, Matt, for our wedding. We planned our destination wedding from Wisconsin and chose Elsa because we admired her moody adventure photography and read the outstanding reviews on Wedding Wire. Elsa is so personable, humble, and genuine. She is very professional, easy-going, while great at keeping everyone on track, which is quite the task, especially during wedding family portraits! From our wedding day to our day-after photos in Glacier NP, she truly made us feel comfortable in front of the camera while having a great time! This girl is an incredibly hard-working woman and never fails to deliver beautiful, timeless and creative photos. Elsa knocked our wedding photos right out of the park!! She knew exactly what we were looking for and delivered exactly that. She has such a sweet personality and made it so easy for us to feel comfortable and have fun during our shoot. Elsa is amazing at what she does, she captures the moments you ask for. She really helps with getting everything together. She organized my bridal group more then my wedding planner did. She has great prices, and has the love of photography. She has became my friend and I knew the moment we met to go over things she was my photographer for my big day. She is the sweetest most fabulous ray of sunshine and did everything in her power to make every one of my wishes become a reality. From the first moment I saw her photos I knew she was my gal! She created the best environment for me at a second shoot we did and also at my wedding. No stress what so ever and she had my back even though I wasn’t the most prepared bride! She returned our photos back so quick and literally took so many pictures, it’s like a play by play of our day!! I cannot thank you enough from the bottom of my heart!! I love you Elsa!! Review for Elsa
This may be a long read, but important for those who are looking to Elsa for photos of their important day.
I originally reached out to Elsa for wedding photography in June 2020 for a date in May 2021. It was planned to be a small elopement-type event (less than 10 people) in Glacier National Park. We were quoted $1500 and paid the $450 deposit to secure our date. Unfortunately, because of Covid and with both myself and my husband being in the Air Force, we had to do some rearranging of the dates to push back our ceremony. We were actually already married, so this was actually just a small ceremony for our friends and family and a vow-renewal for us.
I reached out to Elsa at the beginning of February 2021 to let her know we couldn’t make it out for our original date in mid-May. It was at this time that I also mentioned it was no longer going to be “wedding” photography. She would not be photographing a ceremony/guests, my husband and I were going to have a separate vow-renewal elsewhere but get dressed up again to have Elsa take our photos in Glacier. We were hoping this would change the price, since $1500 is pretty steep for essentially a couple’s photo session, but she did not adjust the price for us and we had already paid the deposit. We found a new date in Sept that worked for photos.
This is where the problems started. Another month later, the military threw more unexpected surprises at both myself and my husband, and we needed to reschedule our photos again. This was still months in advance of when our session would have been. I tried emailing Elsa several times and even reached out to her on Instagram before getting a response. We were completely willing to work with Elsa’s schedule/availability since it was just photography and we didn’t have a set date for an actual wedding. We agreed on June 22, 2021 and had plans to fly out early the next day to come back home to Kansas.
Between March and June, I reached out to Elsa several more times asking specifically about what the best time to do photos was for our session because I wanted to schedule a hair appointment beforehand. She was impossible to get ahold of and didn’t answer any of my emails. I eventually made a judgement call to schedule a hair appointment for the morning of our session because slots were booking up and I couldn’t get Elsa to tell me what time our photos would be or even where we would be meeting up. FIVE DAYS before our photos were supposed to be taken, I still had no idea what time we were meeting up or where we were going. Four days prior, Elsa responded and asked if we could do sunset photos, but we already had our plane tickets booked early for the next morning and had to drive 5 hours to the airport after our photo session, so I told her we couldn’t do that. On June 20, Elsa confirmed she could take our photos at 11am on June 22 and gave us a meeting location. Less than 12 hours prior to our 11am session, she asked if we could do instead do sunrise photos (4am), which we couldn’t do because I already had a hair appointment booked and that was about 6 hours away at this point in time. We would have loved to do sunrise photos and could have made this work easily if she had answered any of my previous emails more than 6 hours prior to the proposed time.
THE DAY OF PHOTOS was an absolute nightmare. You needed a park pass to get into Glacier, which Elsa was supposed to handle, and she had just discovered that her pass had expired the day prior. She told us this when we met up at 11am. She brought along her friend (and her friend’s toddler) to use their park pass and we all crammed into Elsa’s vehicle to try and get into the park. Well, it turns out her friend’s pass had expired the day prior, also. So now we have no way into Glacier, we’re almost 2 hours behind schedule, and we have a screaming child in the car with us. We had to compromise and find a different location, not in the park. We dropped off Elsa’s friend/child, and drove an hour to a different location. The trailhead turned out to be closed, so we couldn’t take photos there either. We drove an hour back to town and compromised once again and had to find another place to take pictures. Elsa was very apologetic the whole time and very sweet. She told us “photos were on her in Glacier next time we were in the area” (who knows if we’ll ever be able to even make it back?!) and mentioned a discount for the nightmare this day had become. We spent over 4 hours trying to find a place to take pictures even though this was coordinated MONTHS in advance and Elsa had dropped the ball on us. After the session, we were told to expect the photos in 4-6 weeks, but the photos came about 9 weeks later.
I expected Elsa to follow up with us after the session regarding the refund she mentioned. We were grossly overcharged at this point seeing as how she didn’t do her portion of the agreement with planning, we didn’t get photos in the park like we wanted, and it wasn’t even wedding photography anymore. After a few days, it was clear Elsa wasn’t going to reach out to make amends. I sent her an email expressing my disappointment, and she didn’t respond, but she did send a refund of $300. This was still crazy to me since it was basically just couple’s photography on a random mountain, and I know a couple’s session does not cost over $1000.
Most of the pictures came out good, considering how that day played out. However, for a service that still cost us $1200 (after the refund), there were a lot of problems. For one, we paid to have photos taken in Glacier. We drove out of our way 5 HOURS for this specific location that we had dreamed about for years. If we wanted photos on any mountain, we could have done that in Spokane where we had our ceremony or really anywhere else. We could have even gotten the park pass ourselves if we were not under the impression that Elsa was going to take care of it for us, but the communication from beginning to end was absolutely terrible. She also does not edit the photos herself. So when we finally got our photos back, the black/white photos were far too dark. There were photos with boats/kayaks still in the background and photos where Elsa’s SUV was left in them with the trunk wide open. SUPER EASY fixes for most editors that I could have done myself, but again, I paid $1500 for these photos. And, my husband was wearing his navy blue Air Force uniform, and all the photos were edited to make his suit black. I messaged Elsa regarding these changes, of which some were made, but I still have to CROP HER CAR out of the photos on my own (see attached photos).
Elsa is very nice and a very sweet lady, but she bites off way more than she can chew with photography sessions. She cannot handle the amount of sessions she takes on, especially during peak wedding season, and things start to fall through the cracks and she can’t deliver on what she promised clients. I dreamed of having our wedding photos taken in Glacier for years. If I could go back, I would have paid a couple hundred dollars extra to find another photographer who could have actually done what they told us they were going to do and what we paid them to do. -
