Tasteful and Classic

Ellen was recommended to me by a friend who was married in Stowe Vermont. Since I was also getting married in Vermont I wanted a florist who could enhance the beauty of the venue with a tasteful and classic look. I went with white flowers and greenery. Aside from being such a kind and easy person to communicate with, Ellen was very flexible with my budget and was wonderful to work with. She exactly understood and captured my vision. I highly recommend Ellen!

Excellent Service

I did not use Ellen for wedding flowers. I was looking for someone to do an arrangement to send to a memorial service. Seems florists around Woodstock Vermont do events flowers but not one off Arrangements. But Ellen was extremely helpful in trying to find someone who could do an arrangement for me. She called me as soon as I emailed her and went out of her way to ask around to help me find someone. So I don't know about her floral designs (rxcept they look beautiful online) but I can attest to how helpful and responsive she is.

Incredibly talented florist and a pleasure to work with!

Meeting Ellen the morning of my wedding to receive my bouquet was such a highlight of my special day. The flowers were stunning, and it was so lovely to finally meet in-person the artist that brought our wedding to life. When my groom and I walked into our reception we were absolutely awe-struck by the beauty of our table-scape and flowers Ellen arranged. Our guests, musicians, and venue all said it was one of the most gorgeous weddings they had ever attended. Ellen brought my wedding vision to life and went above and beyond. I am so thankful that I found Ellen to work with for my November, Vermont wedding!
To walk through the process, before deciding on my wedding florist, I jumped on a call with Ellen to discuss my vision. I was first attracted to Ellen's work online, and talking to her confirmed for me she was the right person to work with. Not only is Ellen an absolute pleasure to talk to and get to know, she is an incredibly talented artist that will focus on perfecting every detail for your wedding day or event. Ellen flawlessly articulated my vision back to me, while sharing some details she thought I would like based on her ample experience in wedding floristry.
Ellen is an amazing artist, and I would have trusted her to do my flowers without little input, but I can be a bit particular - she was so willing to always listen and include me on every decision. I always felt very heard, and it was a true partnership the whole way. Ellen ensures that every detail is thought of from the color of the ribbon on bouquets to vase height. She is incredibly professional and ensures that budget is discussed clearly to achieve a desirable floral look at a discussed price with flexibility to add or adjust throughout the process.
Additionally, living in Connecticut, I had spent very limited time at our venue and church. Ellen knows the area by heart and is well connected and respected amongst other vendors in the area making the process such a breeze. Thank you Ellen for making our wedding day perfect!

Ellen is Absolutely Amazing!

From the very start Ellen was one of the sweetest people to work with. Her attention to detail, positive attitude and helping me with decisions every step of the way really put me at ease on my wedding day. She met with me numerous times to talk through my inspiration and her recommendations which resulted in absolutely gorgeous florals on the day of our wedding. She worked with my mom to incorporate a really special element to my bouquet and even helped talk me through some wedding advice when I was feeling stressed! I would recommend Ellen to anyone looking to have gorgeous flowers on the day of their special event!

Absolutely perfect!

Ellen did our floral design for our wedding in July at the Mountain Top Inn and it was absolutely perfect! She made the barn look magical and beyond anything we could've expected. Our family and friends all raved about how much they loved all the flowers. Ellen took special care with my bouquet as well - making sure it was perfect all the way through to hand delivering it to me. Beyond that, Ellen is an absolute joy to work with! She has so much passion for what she does and took the time to get to know us and understand our vision for the day. We can't thank you enough for making our wedding day so special Ellen!

Ellen is the ideal wedding florist! Not only is she extremely talented in her work and design, she is a joy to work with and makes every effort to make the planning process as smooth and easy as possible. Executed Beautifully

Ellen delivered! We had some pretty big asks given the season of our wedding v season of the flowers we love and she made it all work! She even did our rehearsal dinner the night before our wedding which was a very different style and turned out beautifully. Ellen was very responsive, helpful in developing our vision and executed everything flawlessly. She's a pleasure to work with, definitely cares and wants to deliver/create what will make you happiest.

Ellen is a joy to work with. She is an absolutely incredible floral designer and a lovely person! You will be so glad to have her on your team. Ellen designed the florals for our wedding at the Woodstock Inn in July. She listens patiently and takes the time to find out your vision for your day. Ellen is immensely talented. Beyond Our Expectations

If you want someone that will go beyond your expectations you want Ellen Snyder. Ellen did the flower arrangements for our daughter's wedding and reception in August. She not only went over and above to please but also stayed within our budget and was so easy to work with. The arrangements continued to bring joy days after the wedding.

Ellen was such an amazing floral designer to work with! We had an August wedding at the Woodstock Inn and she knocked it out of the park with the bouquets, head table garland, centerpieces, cake and escort table design. Her pricing was very fair and she worked diligently to stay within my modest budget without compromising design and she got creative to ensure it stayed that way. From start to finish, Ellen took the time to meet with me, listen to what I envisioned, share her feedback and had tremendous patience with my indecisiveness. The end design was nearly identical to my vision board and I will have beautiful lifetime memories of our wedding day thanks to her. I highly recommend working with Ellen.

Ellen is an exceptional florist - we could not have imagined a more beautiful wedding! We worked with Ellen from the beginning and she helped make our vision come together. We met with her in person several times leading up to the wedding, and she was always extremely prepared and a joy to work with. She came to one of our first meetings with several different pictures of what we had said we were thinking about for our flowers, and then she also offered up an original idea that she thought we would love (based on what we had said we wanted the wedding to feel like). We ended up going with her original idea, and everything was magnificent. The flowers could not have been better! We were so excited to work with her that we also asked her to do the bridal brunch and the rehearsal dinner as well. I can't recommend her enough.

Ellen is a joy to work with. We got married outside in Norwich, VT and met with her several times during the process. Because we were getting married at a family farm, Ellen made several site visits to really understand what we were looking for and how it would all come together. We also spent a lot of time talking about "look and feel" and Ellen was able to translate our conversations into stunning reality. Ellen is happy to talk out the little details and she really puts a lot of thought and care into every aspect of her arrangements. We had a large outdoor tent and Ellen transformed it into an amazing space. I cannot recommend her enough.!

Ellen was so wonderful to work with! She had fantastic ideas for beautiful arrangements, and when we had somewhat tight budget restrictions, she found ways to reuse our arrangements and get the most bang for our buck. She was such a pleasure to work with - so responsive, friendly, and helpful - and it made planning the floral arrangements a breeze. Our flowers turned out absolutely perfectly - she seemed to know exactly what we wanted for every element of our wedding, even though we were clueless about flowers. Ellen is nothing short of AMAZING!! She not only provided beautiful floral arrangements for our wedding weekend but also helped with the decor as well!!

My husband and I got married at the Woodstock Inn & Resort the weekend of June 18th. On Friday we had a Hindu Ceremony - Ellen had a provided us with a beautiful Mandap and decorated it with gorgeous silks and bright floral garlands for that ceremony. It was so incredibly beautiful and perfect!

On Saturday we had a Catholic Ceremony followed by a reception under a sailcloth tent in the South Garden. On this day I asked Ellen for pink pastel colored florals and she did not disappoint! All the arrangements were stunning! She also provided beautiful glass vases and candles. She also helped me choose and proved beautiful white birch logs for escort cards and candle lit lanters for our side tables.

Ellen is the utmost professional and always got back to me right away. She has the most elegant and impeccable taste. All she truly wanted was to make my husband and I happy for our wedding weekend and she did that with perfection!! You cannot go wrong with Ellen - you event will be fabulous!!

Ellen made my wedding day absolutely perfect! There really are not adequate words to describe how beautiful all the floral arrangements were. She went above and beyond to help me decide what I wanted the look to be, as I know nothing about flowers. Ellen listened to exactly what I wanted, and exceeded any expectations I had by a landslide. She decorated multiple buildings and areas on my farm for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. She even made a gorgeous wreath to go around my horses neck that I rode in on! The wreath was specific for my horse and she even designed a way to get it on him easily because he was a bit afraid of all the greenery and flowers :) . Using Ellen as your florist for your wedding will be the best decision you'll ever make!

Ellen Snyder Floral Design deserves more than 5 stars! I've known Ellen for over 55 years, so when my daughter announced her wedding plans, Ellen was the only one we wanted. We had an issue...Ellen lives 843 miles from the wedding site! Not a problem for her...we emailed, used Pinterest, talked...she even visited the farm while on a trip to see her mother. Ellen saw the vision before us...the horse barn, the arena, the tractor were "dressed up" with greenery, hydrangeas, posies & even the horse my daughter rode in on was decorated with the most gorgeous wreath ever! She made it an absolute fairy tale with her beautiful imagination and talent...still while working away from her vendors & suppliers! If you are looking for an energetic, conscientous, reliable, and just a fantastic person to provide your event with unbelievable floral designs...this is your vendor! One week later the gorgeous fresh flowers still look unbelievable...you'll also find someone you want in your inner circle of friends!

Words cannot even begin to describe how GORGEOUS the flowers were on my wedding day. Before the wedding, Ellen and I spoke multiple times to discuss my vision for the day...I was blown away at how every last detail was just as I had always pictured. She kept us in the loop through the entire process, was easy to communicate with and quick to respond to any questions I had. Our wedding day would not have been the same without Ellen!

Ellen is an absolute pleasure to work with and created stunning arrangements for our July wedding in Vermont. From our very first meeting over wedding magazines and a cup of coffee, Ellen was considerate, understanding, willing to work within our set budget, and allowed her creativity to shine. During the course of our [very] long engagement, I changed my mind several times and with each new iteration of my vision, Ellen was patient and always excited to hear about my color schemes, favorite flowers, dislikes, and the overall feel we wanted at our wedding. My husband’s anemone boutonniere was incredibly elegant, my bouquet was bright, cheerful, and perfectly loose and flowing, the tablescapes – with mismatched glass vases, mini arrangements, and beautiful vines galore – were exactly what I had envisioned, but could have never articulated. She kept me on task and on schedule, and was completely upfront about the fact that I most likely was not going to be able to have peonies due to timing, and suggested fantastic alternatives that I loved. We adore Ellen and her work and could not speak more highly of her.

Couldn't have asked for a better person to do the flowers at our wedding! Not only was Ellen incredibly nice and thoughtful but the flowers, vases and their design was amazing. There were so many people that came up to my wife and I commenting on the flowers and the arrangements.

Ellen Snyder was the best decision we ever made. She is talented, cheerful, and sentimental. She arranged the most exceptionally beautiful flowers we had ever seen. A short background: my spouse and I live in San Diego and were marrying in Woodstock, Vermont-- so apart from one meeting with Ellen, we communicated entirely via e-mail or phone, through pictures and words, for nearly fourteen months. She is excellent with communication, and she utilizes a working spreadsheet with itemized costs, so you can add or subtract as needed if budget is a concern. And speaking of budget, we don't regret a single dollar we spent with Ellen. It could not have been more spectacular. She will work with you to deliver your vision. On our wedding day, I felt like all of my guests were walking around in my dreams. It looked exactly as I had imagined it (even more beautiful than I imagined it). We happened to share a similar style (natural, garden-like, loose blooms, greens, vines, cedar boxes, et cetera), so while she can execute anything you want, if this is is your style-- she is DEFINITELY the florist for you. She's definitely the florist for anyone. She even stayed through our ceremony to watch us get married. She is kind, and so calming. Take our advice, book her and don't look back.

Ellen has impeccable taste! - this does not even begin to describe how great she is at designing but also what a pleasure she was to work with! From the first minute Ellen and I connected over the phone I felt completely comfortable putting my flowers in her hands - she was friendly, confident, and most importantly THOROUGH, crossing her "t"s and dotting her "i"s. She allowed me to create the storyboard for the flowers, she would fill the gaps with questions to help us determine exactly what I was looking for, she'd take ideas and expand upon them - making sure she got every little detail correct (even if at some times I didn't know what I wanted). Ellen would make sure to circle back and ask questions if she felt I had hesitated on a decision/detail - giving me time to process and think about what I wanted before making a final decision.

Not only did Ellen bring my floral vision to physical form but she was a delight to work with - I felt like she knew exactly what I was saying at every moment. She was flexible in scheduling time to connect - even with limited notice she was able to meet in person for an impromptu trip up to Vermont from DC.

Thank you Ellen for going above and beyond! You are absolutely wonderful!

Ellen was extraordinary. She was friendly and helpful and her floral designs were magnificent! My spring time wedding exceeded my expectations due to Ellen's attention to detail. Everything was perfect. Ellen was always willing to meet with me to answer any of my questions and truly wanted me to be happy with the end result. Ellen truly went above and beyond with the flowers for our late summer wedding in Vermont. She understood our vision and over-delivered...in a big way! While we wanted our centerpieces and ceremony to be understated, the bouquets and boutonnieres popped just the way we wanted.

First, the bouquets: I wanted a touch of succulents in my bouquet, and they were perfect. Ellen drew out beautiful flowers to compliment my bridesmaids who wore shades of pinks and purples. It rained the days before our wedding, so these bright and beautiful flowers were so vibrant against the deep greenery during pictures. They were stunning and exactly what we wanted!

The centerpieces were anything but boring! Ellen gave our tables not only a beautiful and varied varied look, but also delivered a huge talking point for our guests. She incorporated a mix of tall vases and candles with short succulent and rock bowls to wow our guests under our reception tent. (My description really isn't doing them justice!) She enhanced each table with small bud vases and more candles, plus helped us build a collection of antique books to scatter on the tables. People were so impressed with this persona touch...my Uncle loved finding a book on his table from his childhood that we found buried deep in a family bookcase!

Above all, Ellen's excitement for our big day couldn't be contained, and helped us feel like royalty with all the beautiful blooms she put together for us in such a loving way. If you're looking for a high quality job, don't think twice about contacting Ellen. She has a close relationship with the floral suppliers in Boston and makes countless trips down to check on what will be in season for your wedding day, and hand picks the exact flowers she wants to work with. It was such a comforting feeling to know that a true professional (and friend!) was in charge of making the day beautiful. It was one detail I knew I never had to worry about. Thank you, Ellen!

Ellen and her beautiful flower arrangements made my wedding day so exquisite! From the planning process, to the implementation, Ellen was incredibly understanding and professional. A year before the wedding we discussed my vision, and she totally "got it." A few months before the wedding, Ellen sensed that I was getting planning-fatigue, and reassured me that everything would go well and to trust the amazing vendors I had chosen. Well, her advice was spot-on. I had an idea of what to expect from pictures of Ellen's work, but I could not have dreamed up the stunning pieces she created for our day. I thought the bouquets were so gorgeous (and so special that she delivered them in person!), but then when I saw the arrangements at the church I was amazed. However, it was the centerpieces at the reception that stole the show! I have never seen anything like them, and they were the most talked about part of the event by my guests. Ellen is so wonderful to work with, and her flowers are beyond amazing. I am so happy to have had Ellen as a part of my wedding day!

Ellen is a fantastic floral designer who is gracious, fun, creative and so accommodating. She immediately understood the vision as first described to her by our daughter, developed that vision by meeting with us often, and then executed it with the utmost professionalism - - beautifully, efficiently, with an eye to budget and with the warmth of someone who really cared that the flowers would be perfect. Our guests (and we!) were totally amazed by the wedding flowers at the historic church and by table decor at the reception under the tent at the Woodstock Inn. When Ellen came to the house to present the bride and bridesmaids their bouquets, we were all teary!!! We recommend Ellen most highly!!

Ellen captured our vision to perfection! Walking into the reception room took my breath away -- she really just NAILED the look we wanted, and the FEEL, too. It was like walking into my dream come true. Her attention to detail and creativity is beyond compare, and Boston Bride magazine recently recognized as much. But where you might get away with imperfect centerpieces from someone else if you're trying to cut corners, where you can't compromise is on your bouquet. Mine was amazing!!! In fact, it was very different than what I had first described to Ellen, but when she saw a picture of my dress, she had a much BETTER idea. She described it, I trusted her, and I couldn't have been more delighted with that decision. My photographer said it was one of the most photogenic bouquets he'd ever seen and couldn't take his lens off of it. It complimented rather than distracted from my dress, and it felt so much more elegant than my original concept. She also designed the boutonnieres to ensure that my husband and I looked like we went together, and all of the remaining boutonnieres reflected flowers in my maid of honor's (also exquisite) bouquet. Ellen is truly a master artist who painted the perfect details into our wedding. Hire her not only for her execution but because, if you trust her artistic vision as I did, she will help you realize your dream wedding.

Ellen did a wonderful job for our daughters wedding. Her floral arrangements were beyond anything I had seen for a wedding. The variety of flowers unusual and exquisite.

Passionate Floral Design

We chose Ellen somewhat last minute, as COVID forced us to cancel our large reception at an inn and plan one within state guidelines at a private venue closer to our home. She was efficient, flexible, and adventurous as she adapted to our ever changing plan - which involved traveling in the woods up a class 4 road. She was extremely conscious of my budget while still creating beautiful designs, and creative in repurposing bouquets for table decor. You could tell she had great creative vision as she walked through our space ahead of time and came up with ideas. I would highly recommend her design skills for wedding events.

Ellen made wedding flower magic happen with our fall wedding. Admittedly, I'm not a "flower" person, but still had a very distinct idea of what I wanted our space to look like. I feel like Ellen spent a lot of time understanding my personal style and aesthetic so that she could capture these elements and have our ceremony and reception reflect who I truly am. Ellen not only helped create that, but made it look better than I envisioned. My bouquet was absolutely gorgeous, and how she made my favorite flower appear in the bouquet in November I'll never know. Our flowers and tables were absolutely stunning, and our wedding has been described as both beautiful and "perfectly us". I would highly recommend her designs to anyone planning a New England wedding!

Ellen provided beautiful flowers for our rehearsal dinner at Simon Pearce. She met with us twice to discover what we really wanted and called numerous times to present creative ideas for us to consider. Each table was perfect with a beautiful arrangement and glowing candles. Ellen created a gorgeous arrangement in a backpack to go along with the theme for the dinner.....a time to celebrate the bride and groom's love of nature, hiking, and camping. It was just the addition needed to set the tone of the evening.
