Ellen is amazing!
Ellen is amazing to work with and provides spectacular results. We chose the package that included engagement photos and Ellen was so easy to work with. We live in TX and only had a small window of dates to meet and she was able to work within our schedule and accommodate family photos with our daughter and dog as well! On wedding day she was punctual, prepared and efficient. She was everywhere during the wedding but never in the way! Thanks Ellen for providing memories to last a lifetime! -

We hired Ellen Gustafson for our October 2019 wedding, and are thrilled with that decision. She did an incredible job capturing all of the big moments of our wedding day that we expected - couple portraits, ceremony, toasts, family shots, and the first look. But she also captured all of the small moments - things we wouldn’t have thought to request photos of - like people’s faces walking into the ceremony space, people grabbing drinks, friends hugging and catching up, and the spectrum of emotions experienced that day. We have an amazing collection of photos of our friends and family enjoying our wedding day with us. We knew from seeing her work on friends’ weddings that we could expect a lot from her, but our final gallery really blew us away. We have LOVED reliving each moment of our wedding day each time we look through the gallery (which has been ... a lot of times). Ellen has incredible artistic talent, but she is also a competent organizer of people, manager of logistics, and a wonderfully calm and competent presence. The final photo gallery is something that we will cherish as one of our most prized possessions for the rest of our lives. Thank you Ellen! -

Lovely and professional!
Ellen was wonderful to work with. She allowed us to customize our wedding package, was happy to chat with us about shots we wanted, incorporate our animals, anything we asked for really. Her photos are beautiful and I recommend her to everyone I can. -

A m a z i n g
I absolutely love this woman. It was so easy working with her, it’s not even funny.
Everything from meeting her to talk about how we wanted the wedding captured to the two day wedding, all the way till we got our photographs in hand was just so effortless and perfect! The images are so beautiful! I can relive the moment over and over like it was yesterday. She captured all the right moments at the right time, and then some!!
I love the grain of film, Ellen even took film photographs and mailed it to us! (Who does things like that anymore!) -

Ellen is such a pro and has a natural talent and eye that captures the authentic moments to tell the true story! My family and guest raved about her energy and style. Choosing Ellen as our photographer was, hands down, one of the best choices that we made. Both my partner and I are a bit camera shy and the wedding day nerves made both of us pretty anxious about the photography portions of the day. The minute that we saw Ellen, all of that changed. Since our wedding we’ve used our pictures to refer Ellen wherever we can. It’s been fun to watch our friends choose Ellen for their wedding and family pictures since and see the results. We’d recommend Ellen any day. -

Simply stunning from start to finish!
Ellen is amazing! She made the entire process from start to finish FUN and so easy. She is SO talented and was able to capture so many special moments throughout our day. She traveled 5 hours to come to our venue, a place she had never been before, and captured everything that made it special to us. I swear - she was the glue that kept the day together! I really can't imagine the day without her. If you are considering hiring Ellen for a special event or family photos - don't bother thinking about it, you can't go wrong! She was the best! So kind, friendly, and easy to work with - with amazing results. -

Ellen went above and beyond for us. We were planning the wedding long distance and Ellen was always very communicative and Skyped with us. I wasn't very good at wedding planning but Ellen knew everything to do in regards to planning the picture taking and handling the dynamics of a large family. From start to finish, Ellen was simply fantastic and far exceeded our expectations for our wedding photographer. I had been nervous about the process of selecting one – as we cringed while pouring through some other pages of highly posed, unnatural seeming pictures. Ellen was the answer. She took the time to get to know us on a personal level (even as we were planning from afar), and totally nailed it. Throughout the process, she was accommodating and flexible, meeting with us several times and helping us feel comfortable in general (she could honestly be a wedding planner too she knows the whole process so well). We felt so lucky to have had Ellen with us on our day - she was a smiling presence making us feel at east and quick with a joke when nerves ran high. We will treasure our wedding pictures forever as they are truly an expression of her art and talent. Highly recommend Ellen – she’s something special. -

Ellen shot our two engagement sessions and our wedding. She is extremely talented, professional and has an easy going and fun personality, which made the photoshoots an even better experience!
We were blown away by how she captured every special moment on our big day and we will treasure the photos forever. The emotion she catches and her editing is spot on and I would recommend her to anyone! -

We had A LOT going on between a very participatory ceremony, a potluck dinner, a karaoke dance party, and a canoe send-off - she was able to capture the beauty within all the details, expressions, and funny moments. Even with all that happening, she graciously accommodated our budget with a customized schedule that cut out the shots/time we didn't actually need (getting ready, wedding party, first look, etc) while focusing on the stuff we felt strongly about. Communications from start to finish were totally professional and organized. She brings it as both an artist and a businesswoman!

Kristina Sent on 01/05/2018If you are looking for a wedding photographer Ellen is the real deal! we are from Minnesota but had a destination wedding in sanibel island Florida and Ellen was more than happy to travel! We loved our engagement shoot with her so we were thrilled to know she would be joining us on our wedding!She was very organized and had me feeling at ease going into the big day! When it came to the day of she had a detailed shot list and had already scoped out best locations for all our photo needs. It was a hot windy day and I really appreciated her consideration on finding shady spots :) She was also very easy going and fun to work with which I thought was key on such a stressful day! The photos turned out wonderful and I love how many candid shots we got! My husband and I give Ellen five stars and will cherish these photos forever!

She went above and beyond to capture absolutely beautiful moments, and was so flexible in accommodating our one-off requests. Ellen is also incredibly easy to get along with— which is crucial because you're spending most of your big day with her. After this experience, Ellen is, and always will be, my first recommendation for a wedding photography.
