Joel was the absolute best decision when it came to hiring a DJ for our wedding. It’s been 8 months and our guests are still gushing over their experience. He was entertaining, interactive, professional and most of all FUN. He completely captured our love for music and brought it to our wedding guests from pre ceremony all the way to the last second of the night. If anyone needs a DJ for any event we always recommend Ellegant Entertainment. Thank you for a night to remember! -

My husband and I had the pleasure of seeing Joel in action at a wedding prior to ours and knew that his energy was EXACTLY what we wanted on our day! Not only was he easy to coordinate with leading up to the day, but he also managed to make every moment of the day fun, energetic, and special on every level. From fun methods of releasing the dinner line up to dancing out on the floor with the family, he truly held up the vibe of the night from start to finish. Whether it was mariachi/spanish music, country or throwback songs, he made everything flow so easily. Cannot recommend Ellagant Entertainment enough for any event you may have! -

Joel is the best, he makes every event so much fun!! He is super easy to talk to and truly wants the event to be everything you want it to be! He has now been the DJ for mine and all of my siblings weddings plus additional party’s along the way! He will always be our go to guy for any event!! Best DJ out there! -

In the dance event business, music can really make or break the overall experience. Joel takes away all the stress of worrying about playing the right music and keeps the crowd entertained the entire time! His personality and sense of humor sets him apart from the rest. Joel was absolutely amazing at our wedding. He is so much more than ‘just a DJ’, he was funny, engaging, entertaining, playing games with the guests, up dancing and made the day so so fun. Everyone loved him. We honestly could not have asked for a better DJ, he really made our day even more special. As parents of the Bride and Groom we felt our decision to go with Joel Gibbs at Ellagant Entertainment as the DJ for the reception was at the top of our list for money well spent!! We had been at several functions where Joel was the DJ and there was never an occasion that we didn't have the best time EVER. Joel's professionalism along with his warm, funny, charismatic personality kept the party going and people on the dance floor. His personality and presentation lends itself to the individual crowd he is with each time no matter how formal, informal, large or small the event is. Joel takes the time to get to know the people involved so every experience is a personal experience. You will certainly be more than pleased with Joel and Ellagant Entertainment!! -

Joel is amazing! We first met him during an Open House at the Windmill Winery, and we were blown away. Our family and friends loved his vibe, energy, and personality during our wedding. He had the best way of entertaining our guests while they got their food, and had such an amazing selection of music. He reads the room very well, and is an incredible dancer! His energy is so infectious that he had everyone on the dance floor. We highly recommend him!

Joel was so much more then a DJ he help the wedding go smooth, even when things were not going as planed thank you!
Two things that really stood out.
-I loved how he was able to slow people down as they were getting food made the whole process go better then I thought possible.
-Getting on the dance floor with the wedding party helping everyone feel more comfortable.

Joel completely transformed our wedding into a forever memorable event. I cannot tell you how much this meant to us. His energy and smile and positive attitude helped us to relax and feel like we didn’t need to be the host and could just enjoy our wedding. He listened to what we wanted and surprised us with what we didn’t even know we needed. We had guests coming up to us at our sweetheart table to congratulate us and tell us this was the best wedding they have ever been to. We were laughing and having so much fun during dinner and beyond. I’ve heard the DJ can make or break your wedding and now I understand why. I can’t imagine our wedding without him! Joel was the perfect choice for our wedding DJ! He had entertainment of our guests taken care of, which gave us some extra time to take photos, greet guests, and eat dinner (harder than it seems). He made our wedding so much fun, he made sure everybody was occupied, busy, having fun the entire night! He got out on the dance floor and helped some of us less rhythmically blessed individuals find our rhythm. My photographer pre-warned us that he was literally the best DJ and the Phoenix metro area, and now I know she was not lying! He was included in our wedding package at our venue, so of course value was five stars for us, but the week after my wedding my best friend also booked him for hers and she said that he is well worth the money! He is also a very kind and down to earth person, which I deeply appreciated. My husband agrees, he’s someone you could easily find a friend in. Thank you so much for such a great evening, Joel!

Tiffany Sent on 03/26/2018One of THE BEST DECISIONS we made during our planning process was having Joel as our DJ - HE MADE OUR WEDDING!!!! He is SO much fun, the life of the party and kept it all so smooth (he even made releasing tables to get food SO FUN - he had our guests play a game and it made it easier and much more entertaining). Every song we had throughout the wedding was perfect - we sent over special violin versions of songs for the ceremony that he used... Very organized and had it all together. He stuck to the timeline and made sure the Bride and Groom were happy as well as the guests. I recommend Joel and Ellagant Entertainment to ANYONE looking for a DJ!!! -

He surprised us with a couple games. He stuck to music we requested. He even got out and danced with our guest. Several people asked us for his info after the wedding so they could use his services at their own events! You can’t go wrong with Ellagant Entertainment -

His games and comedy bits were some of my favorite parts. He also did a great job keeping things on schedule, but adapted well to any change in schedule that we requested. I had many guests come up and comment on how amazing of a DJ he was, and I agree! I highly recommend Joel and Ellagant Entertainment for anyone who wants to have a reception filled with laughter and fun. -

A couple years ago my now husband and I attended a friend’s wedding where Joel was the DJ. We knew when our day came we would LOVE to have him as our DJ. He was so fun, friendly and upbeat! Sadly, Joel was booked a year in advanced to our wedding date so we had to trust that any DJ who worked for Joel would be just as amazing. Unfortunately, the DJ who was assigned to us, DJ Mike Cataldi, wasn’t up to par with what we expected considering we had high hopes anyone would be similar to how Joel worked. He didn’t seem very happy, kind of in a down mood almost, played songs from our NO PLAY LIST and wasn’t upbeat at all. We didn’t have any other vendors to keep the party going because we thought the music and entertainment aspect of the company we hired would be top notch and he fell short. There wasn’t much dancing going on like we hoped. We wish we could write a better review but we wanted to be totally honest because we were pretty upset with the whole music experience overall. At the end of the day, if you want to hire this company, make sure it’s Joel as your DJ because it wasn’t worth the money to have had the DJ we ended up with. Go elsewhere if Joel is booked. -

I had attended two weddings in the past where Joel was the DJ, and he was amazing! He got all of the guests excited and really held the attention of the crowd. My husband and I wanted to use Joel at our wedding as well, but unfortunately, he was booked. However, he recommended another DJ from his company- DJ John Blaze. We thought this would be a great second choice, so we went with him, thinking he would be just as wonderful.
Unfortunately, that wasn't really the case. He did an alright job... but there were several things that he dropped the ball on. They weren't things that most guests would notice too much, but they were details that were purposely included in the information we sent for a reason, that weren't executed properly.
The first of these things was that he messed up the the bridal party entrance. My parents and in laws were to enter the reception just before the rest of the bridal party- that's what my family does at weddings, and it was in the list that we sent prior to the wedding as well. Not only did he not reference that list to make sure everyone was ready to go, but I found out after the fact that he simply told my mom "you're not on the list" when she asked where they should line up. So, not only did they all NOT end up entering with the rest of the Bridal Party, but the response to her was pretty unprofessional, and could have been handled much differently. I feel it's a big mistake to tell the Mother of the Bride "you're not on the list"... even if that WERE the case (which it wasn't...), it could have been easily fixed.
Additionally, my Uncle was supposed to say a prayer prior to dinner being served, which didn't happen until everyone had already started eating because the DJ didn't seem to know about it. (This was also listed on the order of events for the reception sent to him prior to the wedding). My mom had to remind the DJ about it, and he did scramble to get my Uncle the mic, but he had a difficult time getting the room to quiet down because most people were already focused on eating, so a lot of people didn't hear it. Perhaps he also didn't properly check the sounds system as well (or talk loudly/clearly enough), because he was pretty difficult to hear through the mic several times.
Another detail he missed (on that same list I sent him prior to the wedding), was that he was supposed to open the dance floor with a certain song that is special to my parents. This didn't happen, either. Why wasn't this simple list being followed the whole time?
The most troublesome part of it all is that my mother called the company to talk about the problems that occurred twice, and left two messages to call her back... and that never happened. That's pretty unprofessional, and unfortunately, is resulting in this below average review.
As said before, most guests probably wouldn't know the difference for the things that didn't occur that should have, but we knew what was supposed to happen, and it didn't, which is pretty frustrating seeing as I reached out to them prior to the wedding to make sure that everything was good to go, and I was assured it was.
They weren't terrible, but I wouldn't recommend them. I know there are vendors out there that will take the time to reach out to you about your event and prepare things ahead of time to do ALL the things that you ask for, not just some of them.
You might as well do some more searching to find a company that will really work hard to make your day perfect!
