We hired Nigel as our DJ & MC for our wedding in Negril and wow did he deliver! When booking we had an initial zoom call with him to set everything up. Over the following 10 months, we were sharing ideas for the wedding and he was always quick to answer and very interactive. About 4 weeks before the wedding we did another zoom call with him for all the wedding specifics. We loved that he was excited to DJ our wedding, it made us even more excited. At the wedding itself he made sure the dance floor was packed from after dinner until 1am! Great songs the whole night and he knew when to switch to the next. Never too short and never too long on any given song. He knew the entertainment sweet spot! Guests told us that they've never danced as much as they did at our wedding. A few guests asked for his contact information & we were even asked by most guests to do a 5 year reunion trip and party! So we will definitely be booking Nigel again! -

A saying that quickly became my wife & I's go-to-phrase during the planning process because whatever we did, we knew Nigel was going to have our backs. Nigel's ability to read the room, mix up songs/ genres, and keep the vibes high was amazing. While we certainly appreciated his DJ skills, Nigel - as a person - was even better.
Towards the end of our planning process, we threw Nigel a curveball. We had gone through months of planning without thinking about an MC because in the US, MC services + DJs tend to be the same thing. Panicked, we asked Nigel to be our MC on very short notice.
Nigel calmly stepped up to the challenge and knocked it out of the park. He interacted with our group on a personal level by asking impactful questions to key members of the wedding party & passing the microphone to set the stage for magical answers to follow. Not only did this create special family moments, it also spaced out our plated dinner service perfectly as our catering staff worked hard to serve everyone their meals.
Nigel & his team kept us dancing all night long and capped off our dream destination wedding. It's nerve racking to plan a wedding far away from home so we couldn't be happier with the way Elevate pulled everything off.

Made things work no matter what!
Nigel was great! He was very helpful and responsive during our reception planning and made sure things ran smoothly. Even though we were late to start our reception, he made sure everything fit in and made sure that everyone was on their feet on the dance floor by the end of the night ! Highly recommended ! -

I highly recommend Elevate Entertainment. Nigel is an outstanding professional who KNOWS HIS STUFF! He was so responsive as he provided us with the guidance (and even encouragement) that we needed as we planned, especially during our wedding rehearsal. He was also more than willing to accommodate any last minute changes or requests that we had. Little does he know that he contributed so much to our beautiful day... We knew we were in good hands having him as our DJ... our minds were so at ease knowing he was handling our music. Best selecta! -

I was amazed at how promptly he replied to a request that was sent at 7 am on a Sunday. Mr Swaby (Nigel) met at the venue with the bride and groom in the planning phase, and was a great help in guiding them
Even more impressive was his flexibility to adapt on the day of the wedding when the heavens opened, and the rain threatened to spoil the dancing at the reception. Within minutes the party was moved indoors and we danced nonstop...the energy was amazing ... and Nigel knows how to read a room to keep it going! I highly recommend this service -

Our wedding was lit! Nigel paid attention to detail for our ceremony and brought everyone to tears when they heard my entrance. Our reception was awesome and everyone loved the music and kept asking about where we got him from. Would highly recommend
Nigel was amazing since we first found him on WeddingWire. We had a good vibe from him when we started communicating and immediately knew we wanted to work with him. We used him for lighting for cocktail hour, dance floor, Sparkulars, and DJ services for our ceremony and reception. He went above and beyond with everything he did. We were having him do lighting so he went to visit the resort to make sure he knew the space to ensure the set up was perfect. He was so helpful throughout the whole planning process. He was quick to respond with any questions and always had recommendations when asked. He really looks out for your best interest. We needed a photo booth last minute and he found us one immediately who was also great to work with. He goes above and beyond, when our reception was backed up due to weather and other circumstances he stayed later so we had a little bit of time to dance and enjoy. He started with our must play song to get everyone on the dance floor and knew how to keep the dance floor full:-) He is so kind, accommodating, and easy to work with. Would highly recommend!! We are so happy we chose to work with him. -

Nigel was very communicative and flexible throughout the planning process. We had a “unique” song list for the ceremony and cocktail hour and he executed it perfectly. Reception playlist was great but we wished he used songs a little more the playlist we gave him. Would highly recommend him, affordable pricing as well pairing great with our MC. -

Extraordinary Service above every other.
Our experience with elevate entertainment was excellent from our very first interaction onwards, words cannot really describe it. We say this because they were on time, executed well, very professional in their service and attire. Goes above and beyond his scope for our day. Music selection was 100%!! Done to the “T”. From the beginning of the process Nigel was extremely responsive and helpful. The wedding was postponed due to Covid and he still honoured the original contract which are very grateful. Although he was not the official DJ on the day, DJ Vodka came though in the clutch and ended the night with standing ovation.

Nigel and his team did an outstanding job with my wedding!!! I mean, it left me speechless. Nigel was attentive to everything we asked for and delivered more than I thought possible. From the ceremony to reception, it was phenomenal. The music had my family and friends dancing ALL night long!!! They loved him. Whether you like spanish, hip hop, pop, reggae and even throwback music, he has it all!!! During our first dance, we had the sparklers (which I must say, please GET THEM) and added the PERFECT touch.
I cannot begin to express our gratitude to you and your team, Nigel. Thank you for everything. If any of our friends and family decide to have a party/wedding in Jamaica, we are 1000% referring them to you. Thank you again, ONE LOVE 🇯🇲 -

Above & Beyond!
We are so grateful to have found DJ Sway for our Destination Wedding! Our original wedding was supposed to take place in March of 2020, however, due to Covid we postponed one full year to March 2021. Dj Sway was sure to keep in touch with us and even when we were forced to move our venue due to our original resort closing down his response was "I will travel anywhere on the island for you." From day 1 he was responsive, professional and displayed a true sense of passion for what he does. He arranged several calls with us to get a feel of us as a couple and was a tremendous help to two individuals who not only knew nothing abut planning a wedding, but planning one in a different country at that. He even helped us find a dance floor rental company (Bandoo Events, highly recommend as well) and offered to help find anything else we needed.
Fast forward to wedding day! We got to see DJ Sway's passion in action and I am not exaggerating when I saw that all of our guests stated that he was the best DJ they have encountered at a wedding. Our dance floor was occupied at ALL TIMES. The transitions were flawless, all of our must play songs were played, along with our guests requests. We like a wide variety of music, from Latin dance to Freestyle to Hip Hop and DJ Sway hit every note for us.
Thank you DJ Sway for helping create our dream wedding and for being one of the kindest professionals we've encountered in this entire process!! -

Wow!!! Amazing DJ and service
I highly recommend hiring Elevate entertainment. Nigel is a great DJ! He played great music to keep the crowd going. He offers extras like pyrogenics(mini fireworks) that added an extra wow factor. He also supplied us with some globe lights and dance floor. We were worried because due to Covid events were not running as planned. Nigel ensured we had our dream wedding! Multiple people commented it was the best wedding they have attended. Hire elevate entertainment. You won’t regret it! -

Excellent service, awesome music! Kept everyone dancing all night!
Elevate Entertainment was such an amazing DJ for our wedding! From the very beginning Nigel was communicating with us and working to get his services tailored to our specific wants and needs. We exchanged a number of emails and had a zoom call to go over all the details. On wedding day they had everything set up perfectly without having to bother us at all. They had a little setup by our ceremony location and did a great job with the music and everything else for that part. Then moving to the reception they had the booth, speakers and all lights setup and ready to go. We paid extra for them to bring uplights for the palm trees for added light and ambiance and it all looked great! When it came to the music for the night, everything went perfectly and the playlist Nigel put together was SO GREAT! He listened to our preferences and tastes, and put together a playlist of songs along those lines and added some local Jamaican music and reggae in as well and it all turned out great. We barely gave any specific song requests and he still was able to put together the playlist on his own and it blended perfectly from song to song without any one song playing for too long and with zero dead space between songs. This led to everyone dancing the entire time after dinner and speeches. We all had such a good time and could not recommend Elevate enough! Thanks guys! -

Easy, reliable, personal, timely, efficient, professional
Where to begin?! We went through a couple other vendors before choosing Elevate. We did so, not only because of the price, but because of the vibe that my husband and I received from him! Very upbeat and positive. From the first encounter, he was all about us and what we wanted. Nigel asked so many questions to get every detail and was open to any idea or thing we wanted. The fog lights and sparklers were a great addition! The team was on time and professional! The reception was lit the whole way through and he was so good that my mother danced lol. We were emailed a form that we could fill out detailing what songs we wanted for what and also any songs we didn't want to hear. He even met with our hostess before hand to get acquainted, met with photographer as well! They just made the process worry free! My husband and I have no regrets, but Elevate made the day come together even more! They definitely set the tone, even the staff of the hotel enjoyed! We'd recommend to anyone having a destination wedding or any event in Jamaica. Look no further! Thanks Elevate and DJ Sway from the Davys!! -

Words can't express how amazing Nigel/Elevate Entertainment is. Planning a destination wedding is incredibly tough but working with Nigel (aka DJ Sway) has been the most streamlined, easiest, fun, professional experience ever. He is always punctual (early, if anything) and made me and my hubby feel very comfortable. I knew Nigel was the one for us when he took the time to get to know us as a couple and learn more about our wedding day. He shared his point-of-view/ best practices while incorporating our vision as well. He even took the time to understand the meaning behind the father/daughter dance (which is in Chinese), and included it seamlessly in his remarks. Our wedding was incredibly diverse and Nigel naturally read the room and played a genre of songs- Ethiopian,Chinese, RnB, hip hop, Reggae, Soca, Dancehall...you name it. He also flexed and served as our dual-Emcee for the wedding. His voice and energy was ON POINT and what we wanted: fun, class, buttery authentic, and elegant. Thank you Nigel! -

Elevate Entertainment was amazing from start to finish. Nigel was super responsive and accommodating! He answered all of our questions and even called us to talk about our big day. Nigel was our Wedding DJ in July 2019 and it was an awesome event. When my husband and I had our first meeting with him, he was very attentive, he listened to what we wanted, took good notes, asked questions and delivered like no other on our special day. He even provided us with a template for 'must play songs' and "do not play etc. He was very professional!! He kept the guests dancing even when the Wedding was coming to an end. We wish we had the venue for the entire night because it was that good!! You cannot have your next event with booking this DJ!!! HE IS SIMPLY THE BEST!!! -

Best dj ever!
Nigel was great, he set the tone for our wedding from ceremony to after party. I definitely recommend getting his lightning package with the Sparklers, our guests were blown away with how beautiful he made our wedding. He is very professional, reliable, and flexible.
