Best decor team!

Sharda, Gopal and Klodiana are the bestest! They made our sangeet night and wedding day decor look so elegant and beautiful. It was above our expectations from their professionalism to their work. Absolutely amazing!

These guys are the best!!!!

My wife Lipika and I had our daughter's sangeet, wedding & reception (#ArshiaandNeil) at the Jersey City Hyatt Regency this past weekend (May 17th & May 18th).

The decor was created and executed by Elegant Affairs. The venues (LIberty House for Sangeet and Hyatt for Wedding) offer some wonderful views, BUT, Elegant Affairs turned them into truly exquisite venues. Using just the right amount of decor, nothing overdone, they created an environment that blew our guests away. So many of them commented on how good everything looked. At the reception someone said this feels like a Karan Johar set!! Someone said at the wedding ceremony outdoor with the NY skyline as a backdrop that this is so elegant. This person had no idea about the name of the decorator!!!

We must thank Sharda-ji, Gopal and Richa for their hard work. But more than the hard work, it was the constant smile on their faces, those tea and snacks that Sharda-ji so graciously provided every time we visited, that really touched our hearts. We never felt we were dealing with a vendor, it felt like a family affair.

One of the best vendors ever

Vikram from Elegant Affairs is one of the best people you could ever work with. He is patient and really works to understand what the bride/groom want, even if it means he has to do more work. He also goes above and beyond on the day of, focusing on all details of the event, not just the details Elegant Affairs is contractually responsible for. If you are looking into decor, and you are being treated rudely or pressured by other vendors, forget them and sign up Elegant Affairs.

Excellent Decor

Sharda and her team at Elegant Affairs are the best in the industry. Their warehouse is huge and so many different options to chose from. I am so happy that we picked them. Their customer service is great. Our decorations looked amazing. We got so many compliments on how beautiful all of our wedding events looked. She had transformed the venue into something very spectacular. Everyone loved taking pictures by this beautiful floral peacock she had created out of orchids. The first time I saw the entrance to my Sangeet I could not believe how she had transformed the space into something very grand. Our wedding and reception decorations were very elegant. The flower arrangements are very beautiful that so many people took them home. I highly recommend hiring Elegant Affairs as your decorator. Sharda and her team will not disappoint you. They work within your budget to create your dream wedding.

Our experience at Elegant Affairs was very eye opening as Shobha displays the many varieties of decor, themes and colors to choose from. Putting together my personal touch and style with her expertise made the process simple and fun! Great knowledge and recommendations were honest and helped me make the best choices for my Mandap and reception decorations. When I walked into the room for the wedding ceremony which ended up being inside due to rain I couldn’t have imagined the quick change to make everything look so elegant even though I had chosen decorations for an outside ceremony. The reception as well took my breath away. The Elegant Affairs team were timely in responses as many changes were made throughout my whole planning process. Elegant Affairs is the ONLY company to utilize when it comes to any celebration! I hired them for both my engagement and wedding events and they were incredible! Specifically, Vikram Panicker - the creative genius I trusted with my vision. He delivered beyond my expectations and created a stunning mandap I had never seen before. He understands personalities and then guides you in the right direction. If it wasn't for him I would not have gotten my dream wedding!! His assistant Klodiana was also very pleasant to work with and was responsive whenever I had a question. It really is a no-brainer when it comes to hiring a decor company that there is no one better than Elegant Affairs and Vikram Panicker. Know that you're only getting the best when it comes to them! We hired Elegant Affairs for our sangeet, ceremony, and reception. We worked with Shobha who was terrific. She treated us with respect and worked within our budget to create a unique design. We wanted to incorporate water into our reception decor and she suggested we add a waterfall which was something we didn’t think about. Our guests still tell us how beautiful the decor was.

Elegant Affairs was an amazing vendor and truly went beyond our expectations. We dealt primarily with Sharda who was so kind to us and patient throughout the entire process. One thing I found was truly different with EA from other decor places is that other places would take our budget and be like here are things that fall in your price range and we'll just plop them on the table and you'll be set. Sharda took our budget and actually came up with a room design that stayed within our price range. We had 3-4 different types of centerpieces in the same room and I didn't want to go with too many florals due to the time of year. We went with a candelight and crystal theme and the final product was breathtaking. Their designs are classy and as involved as you'd like them too. They truly listen to what you want and design things based off of your personality as a couple. We had a Christian ceremony and they even found a way to make the ceremony space as beautiful as the reception.

On top of all of that, they took care of our florals - the corsages, boutonnieres, bouquets, etc and each piece was as perfect as the last. Thank you so much for making our dreams come true!

Could not be happier with our wedding decor. We had three amazing and unique looks for our wedding weekend. Our Sangeet had a traditional Rajasthani vibe - colorful and fun. Our ceremony look felt royal and enchanting. The combination of the mandap, flowers, and lighting transformed our very mediocre-looking hotel space. Our reception was elegant and modern. Moreover, Sharda was so flexible, sweet, approachable, and cognizant of our needs and desires. It was such a pleasure collaborating with her through this process.

Absolutely divine magic! That is what our guests told us after the wedding. Thanks to Elegant Affairs!

True to their name, Elegant Affairs is as ELEGANT as it can get. We worked with Sharda and her fantastic team of Gopal, Louise, Kim, and Miranda. And, what can I say!! Sharda, as the team leader, is absolutely amazing, very creative and extremely passionate about her work. Right from the start, she was very professional, and sensitive to our needs, without us knowing what we wanted to begin with. She guided us through the entire process of the wedding with her gentle and patient nature. She is unassuming, soft spoken, and very very knowledgeable about weddings, trends, styles, decor, and of course, flowers. Her final project was totally very unique, distinctive and above all, magnificent.

Gopal , the choreographer- architect, is very pleasant and answered all our questions before and during the day. He was there the whole time, setting up the morning and evening stages on the wedding day. He is very meticulous and pays great attention to detail, which was exactly up our alley. Kim and Louise are in the office, and although we could never meet them personally, they were both very prompt in returning our emails and voice messages. And, the magical hands that actually brought it all to life, is Miranda, the incredible florist with her magical fingers. She, too, put her heart and soul into her creations.

We were very lucky to work with this wonderful team. Among other things, they are very honest and very proud of their work – something that is becoming a rarity these days. We know and totally appreciate that Sharda went out of her way to make our occasion not only spectacular but absolutely unforgettable for us as well as our guests.

Elegant Affairs is the best of the best for Indian wedding decor. We had a very specific idea of the design we were going for, and the Elegant Affairs team nailed it. Vikram met with us several times over the course of 9 months of wedding planning and patiently went over design options for our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Elegant Affairs is by no means cheap, but it was well worth every dollar spent for their talent and professionalism. They also worked with us on our budget and honestly told us what were the things worth spending on, and what can be cut. My wedding venue was very challenging to work with, and Elegant Affairs went above and beyond to ensure we got exactly what we wanted, while still working within the last minute constraints imposed by our venue. We would highly recommend Elegant Affairs to anyone looking for a decorator!

Words cannot explain the exceptional work and skill of the Elegant Affairs team. Vikram and Ronak created a wedding look for us that surpassed anything we could dream of and went beyond their roles in helping us create our dream wedding. Shobha Rao and her team at Elegant Affairs really created the most beautiful scene at our wedding. Her coordinator, Kim, was so approachable and reachable. She was quick to answer any emails and phone calls.

Everything that we had discussed with Shobha were actually present at our wedding with extra add-ins that we didn't even request (I've heard lots of stories with different vendors that if you order certain things--they skimp out on amounts/types of flowers/etc). She was so artistic and creative and her attention to detail was incredible. I highly recommend a consultation with her. She will sketch out a concept based on your ideas and you'll spend time revising it until its perfect. Great experience!

We worked with Shobha at Elegant Affairs and she did a masterful job of decorating our Indian fusion wedding. Elegant Affairs has an excellent showroom where you can meet with them, and choose the
colors/palettes/items/furniture that you’d like for your wedding. Seeing the quality of everything in person was incredibly important to really visualize it at the wedding. Elegant Affairs did an incredible
job building a beautiful Arch for our ceremony and decorating our entire event with stunning floral centerpieces and a magnificent sweetheart stage with hanging orchid lines, sophisticated furniture and artful draping. They built a custom carpet of ombre rose petals in a swirl pattern for our aisle runner, and have every shade and texture of fabric, flowers and decor imaginable. Shobha understood our vision easily and was able to help us sort through a myriad of options and make recommendations, showing us many examples of many events her team has done. We never felt like she was trying to upsell us on unnecessary upgrades - instead she was very mindful of the budget we set and helped make recommendations and adjustments while still maintaining the aesthetic we wanted, which we very much appreciated. Elegant Affairs was very easy to deal with throughout the whole process and they are unmatched in their expertise, quality, and selection. Their team is very fast, efficient and friendly, and their decor and floral concepts are fresh, modern and beautiful.

We worked with Ronak and Vikram for the flowers and mandap for our recent wedding on Staten Island. They were both phenomenal - professional, punctual and attention-detailed. They met with us before the event and Vikram did a walk through with us at the venue. They had great vision and made amazing suggestions that ensured our wedding was how we imagined. Elegant Affairs Inc. made our fairytale wedding come true!! I had met with a few florists prior to meeting with Shobha aunty. As soon as I met her, I just loved her ideas, creativity, and honesty!! She truly made our event magical!! She went above and beyond to work with us, to help our visions come to life. She was so patient throughout the whole process. After meeting atleast two or three wedding decorators in the market, we are glad that we opted for Elegant Affairs for our two day wedding weekend in New York, Hudson Valley. As soon as you enter the showroom, you can judge the quality of material, accessories and design form the sample display. There's nothing more annoying than some people charging ridiculous amount for fairly cheap looking wedding decor. With Elegant affairs - you can be rest assured about quality, service & money's worth.

Shardha & Gopal were excellent at giving us various suggestions on design, theme, coverage etc to best suit our needs over iterative emails and calls. The end product was stunning - right from the outdoor ceremony set up to the indoor ballroom setting. All the set up was completed on time and done in a very professional unobtrusive way. The cherry blossom trees, candles and the beautiful tall flower centerpieces were all beautifully arranged and complimented the lavender ballroom lighting giving a sophisticated wow look for our Cocktail reception- exactly as we wanted! The next day we had our Indian ceremonies, we opted for a gold round mandap with a chandelier - it was beautiful, better than what we had anticipated!

Once again a big thank you and we hope you find much success in the coming years.

Selecting a wedding decorator & florist can be a daunting task, especially given there are so many to choose from with varying styles. To all the would be brides - save yourself the trouble and check out them out.
Highly highly recommended.

Elegant Affairs was the best decision we made in one year of wedding planning. All of our guests were completely wowed by our wedding décor, and my husband and I were completely surprised when we saw it – our wedding was so much more beautiful than we could have ever imagined.

We live in NYC, and went to a ton of different florists in the area. We went to the ‘celebrity florists’ that consider themselves the ‘best in NYC’ (and coincidently most expensive). But from the moment we met Sharda at Elegant Affairs, we knew we had our florist. Quickly it became obvious why EA is so praised in the industry. Sharda has an amazing vision. She isn’t like the other florists we met who try to convince you to spend more or else your vision isn’t quite possible. (We had a few florists tell us that!) Our wedding was an Indian-Italian formal black-tie affair at The Capitale in NYC. If you have any hesitation about choosing Elegant Affairs, ask them to show you pics of our wedding!!!

The set-ups on the wedding day were very well-coordinated. We had a pretty complicated day with two ceremonies and some re-use of flowers from the morning to the evening. It all worked out very smoothly.

Caitlin and Kinjal were also fantastic to work with. They were always patient and kind – despite me calling them nonstop with questions...We had 13 versions of our contract over 5 months. (!!!)

Overall, we were incredibly pleased with Elegant Affairs. I can’t imagine my wedding without Sharda involved. I will really miss working with her. She felt like family to us. We are so so grateful to have met her!

Where do we even begin to express how magical our wedding was, all thanks to Elegant Affairs! Decor was one of the most important components of the wedding for us. Elegant Affairs was the ONLY decorator we actually had face to face meeting with because after speaking to Sharda Aunty; we didn't care for any other decorator. They are absolutely amazing to work with because she understands you and she is one of the most creative person we’ve met.

What makes them unique is the visions to custom build an entire reception stage, mandap, or just an isle when the bride enters. These qualities are only defined by those who actually love what they do and trust me when I tell you Sharda Aunty and the entire Elegant Affairs team will work on your event as if it was their own.

The whole team is extremely thorough. They walked us through every aspect of our wedding where we would need their services. They were always open about what could decrease our total cost and at the same time they always had great substitute ideas that would save us money. Also, they are always quick to answer all of our questions, which is always appreciated.

We can't thank them enough for the job they did on our Wedding Ceremony and Reception. We have gotten compliments from people just looking at pictures, our other vendors such as our photographer/videographer and DJ were amazed, and forget those who came to the events; they were simply in state of shock! We had to pick up our chin from the floor when we saw the final outcome! It goes without saying that Elegant Affairs truly has a unique eye. Their creativity excels and surpasses the competition. We would not even look at any other vendor and just go straight to Elegant Affairs! Thank you so much for all your effort and amazing decor which made our venue and entire day look out of this world!

When I was planning for my June 2013 wedding, I met with several decorators in the NY/NJ area. From my first meeting with the Elegant Affairs team, my family and I were absolutely charmed by Sharda Aunty. From then on, every time we met with her and her team, we were welcomed with hot tea (my father still says it’s one of the best masala teas he’s had), we never felt rushed, and I always felt like my wedding was important to them.

Throughout the planning process, it became evident why this company is known as one of the best. Elegant Affairs has a variety of ideas and flexibility instead of just sticking me with a standard look, and they really cared about what they were producing. Gopal-ji even came up to our venue (a 2 hour drive from their warehouse) just to take a look and sketch out his ideas a few months before the event. Elegant Affairs’s reputation for being extremely reliable and on top of their business was also very important to me.

Their setups were so well-coordinated, timely, and efficient. My family and I were over-the-moon happy with how beautiful our ceremony and reception looked. Sharda Aunty and her team achieved the perfect combination of “summery sweet romantic elegance” that I was going for, and we had the most beautiful florals that I could have ever imagined. Not only did everything look spectacular but it felt spectacular. Our guests are still complimenting our colors and flowers and our absolutely gorgeous mandap.

From start to finish, Sharda Aunty, Gopal-ji, and the Elegant Affairs team were absolutely incredible. Wedding planning can be a stressful or confusing time – there are so many decisions to make and a lot to think about. But working with Elegant Affairs was probably one of the most enjoyable, relaxed experiences I had during my engagement, and easily the best decision I made for my wedding. I miss Sharda Aunty already!! I can’t thank them enough for making my experience with them so special.

Shobha Rao is amazing, absolutely amazing. During my initial consultation, I gave Shobha my preference regarding colors and ideas and she produced exactly what I wanted and more. She provided an honest assessment regarding centerpieces and decorations and never tried to convince me to pick the more expensive item- it was always about what I wanted. She did an incredible job from the wedding, cocktail hour to the reception. The Mandap was absolutely beautiful. I did not have to worry about anything and the entire day was perfect. We had our wedding at Studio 450 on October 12th 2012. As we were having an indian wedding we needed an indian decorator. We met with Shobha at Elegant Affairs and we absolutely love her. She's like a mother and will be very honest and tell us if we dont need things. She wasnt trying to sell us on anything. More like she was making sure we spent our money wisely. They have amazing florists and they did all of our center pieces at the reception. Shobha herself even came to the venue with us the week before the wedding to do a double check of everything and she was literally my mother when my own mother couldnt be there. I highly recommend them to everyone. A pleasure to work with and they have everytihng you can possibly need to make your wedding beautiful.

I realize that Elegant Affairs is listed in the "Flowers" category, but, they do that and so much more. We were simply astounded by the amazing job Sharda and her team at Elegant Affairs did at our wedding. Sharda was our venue designer. Her creative eye is impeccable and her work is simply stunning. She and her incredible crew turned our wedding venue into a magical, colorful fairy tale. She worked within our budget, coordinated with our other vendors, and saw that every detail was taken care of. Whenever we visited the showroom, we were treated like family. Just before the wedding, a friend came with us to the showroom and she happened to have her Indian wedding clothes with her. They weren't fitting correctly and Sharda's sister so kindly took the garment in the back room and re-fitted it with her sewing machine. What a truly kind gesture and so far beyond the call of duty. There aren't enough words to describe the outstanding work that Sharda and the folks at Elegant Affairs provided. My husband and I are truly grateful. They are the best at what they do and they are some of the kindest, friendliest most hospitable people you will ever work with. If you're considering Elegant Affairs, stop contemplating. Just hire them. You will be astonished by the results.

I used EA for my indian wedding and I thought they did a great job! They are a little pricey but I got so many compliments on the decor so I think it was well worth it! They are also easy to work with, and when wedding planning can be stressful enough, having vendors that are pleasant to work with makes a big difference!

Shobha and Elegant Affairs added such a magical and amazingly fragrant element to our wedding: gorgeous, incredible flowers!!! We are thankful to them from the bottom of our hearts for such a wonderful job. It was truly the event of our lives. The lilac arch was stunning, and it filled the room with such a delightful smell. The garland on the main table was perfect. The altar arrangements were dramatic and lovely. The centerpieces, tall and short, were the talk of all at dinner. Working with Shobha was wonderful -- I had pretty strong opinions about the colors, look and flowers I wanted, down to the smallest detail, and Shobha and her team met and exceeded all of my expectations. The flowers and decorations turned out amazing, and we got so many compliments on them.

Beyond that, she provided invaluable advice on the other aspects of planning our wedding, and even intervened when another wedding vendor acted less than professionally.

I can't imagine having a better experience than this, and would recommend Elegant Affairs to anyone getting married.

We used Elegant affairs for our mandap, centerpieces, and reception decoration. Shobha is amazingly talented woman who has a lot of creative ideas. I only had to make one visit to her showroom and I left the rest up to her and her team. I was beyond impressed on our wedding day. Everyone is still complimenting us on how beautifully decorated it was. I also have to hand it to her and her team for REALLY stepping it up As our wedding was the week after Hurricane Irene and a lot of their showroom got ruined. Even so, in just a few days they managed to clean everything up, buy whatever they had to, and we didn't lose out on any of the items we wanted for our wedding. I know elegant affairs is not cheap, but you honestly get what you pay for, and they don't rip you off like a lot of decorators that we visited before hand.

I recently got married in June of 2011 and used Elegant Affairs for my flowers, table decorations, and mandapam. I cannot say enough good things about them. Shobha and Donna Marie are wonderful and knowledgeable, and just a pleasure to deal with. They are extremely talented and professional, and worth every penny. People are still talking about how beautiful everything was, and it was entirely due to Elegant Affairs. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

They may be a bit pricier than other mandapam companies--but they are so professional and organized that it is worth the cost.

Shobha Rao is a phenomenal decorator and has a beautiful vision. She has an amazing collection of vases to fabric. Her ideas are novel and breath-taking. She listens to the bride and appeases the parental unit simultaneously. Her staff is responsive and attentive to details. Their work is flawless and unforgettable. I did not look at other vendors so I am not sure if there is a significant price difference, but she provides a stunning product.

After working with Elegant Affairs, I can understand why they are the best decorators in the tristate area! For our Indian wedding, we worked with them on our sangeet, wedding, and reception. All three events had very different looks, but Elegant Affairs achieved this so easily. Gopal painted a picture of how it would look, walked us around their warehouse and showed us the samples of items that would be used. We spent hours working on the layout and details, but the conversations were always efficient and productive. On the actual day of the events, the overall look that was achieved was even more magnificent that I could have imagined. We received so many compliments and our color themes looked incredible. I would highly recommend working with them!

Short version: If you’re not an expert at designing mandaps or lavish reception backdrops, then leave it to Shobha and her team to help you create something unique and that matches your style. The whole team was extremely patient and guided us through every step and even helped us think through all the items we would need and what we could do without.

Long version: I walked into my wedding planning not knowing the difference between a decorator and a planner so you can imagine my relief when I met Shobha and she patiently walked me through the differences.
The Elegant Affairs team were friendly and always willing to work with you to create the decorations to your taste. Gopal, their designer, is really talented and sketched several different ideas up for my husband and I because we wanted something that wasn’t in their show room. And when we were making it too complicated or they thought it wouldn’t look nice, they told us which was a huge help!

The team here is very honest and didn’t push me to get items that I didn’t need. At the end of the day, we really felt the team had our best interests in mind and just wanted to ensure that the end result ending up looking phenomenal… which it did! Sharda and her team at Elegant Affairs were outstanding. They were incredibly creative and turned my vague ideas into a beautiful event. Sharda spent considerable time going over each of my events and coming up with ideas to make each visually unique. Elegant Affairs did the decor for my Mehndi, Sangeet, Wedding, and Reception 2 weeks ago. I cannot say enough about how happy I was with my experience with them.

I worked with Kinjal Patel throughout, and I thought she was just amazing. From the very beginning, she was both professional and friendly. She was so easy to work with, and accommodating to all of our needs. She had great creative ideas, but at the same time had a good sense of what our budget was and was able to give us what we wanted within the budget. I was so impressed with how she would always give us multiple options, at different price ranges, and helped us both create beautiful events and keep to our budget. She was super professional and responsive all year long. I highly, highly recommend her.

The most important and impressive thing was just how beautiful the events turned out. Each and every event was stunning. The fabrics, colors, flowers, etc. all came together perfectly. I was nervous about how it would all come together, but was so impressed with how beautiful everything looked. Elegant Affairs has incredible taste, they're able to give you whatever look you are looking for, while always keeping everything very classy and tasteful.

Elegant Affairs did the mandap and flowers for our outdoor Hindu wedding ceremony and the centerpieces for our wedding reception. We worked with Sharda Auntie who is very sweet and stylish. The mandap was minimalistic yet a traditional Hindu style. I did not want a tacky overdone mandap and Elegant Affairs delivered on that. The wedding reception flowers were also beautiful. Sharda Auntie worked with my budget and never pressured us to spend more than we could afford. Elegant Affairs is known to be pricey but you get what you pay for, a professional team with an artistic eye.

Sharda at Elegant Affairs worked with my mom and I to create now only our flower arrangements but my entire wedding decor. There is a reason why they are well-known in the Tri-State area, and it's because they really are visionaries who run an efficient yet friendly business. Be prepared for lengthy consultation meetings (couple of hours, tea and snacks included!) but know that the result will be beautiful. Don't be afraid to state exactly what you want - Sharda completely followed my vision, she gave me guidance and great suggestions but never tried to force me into certain colors or designs. And she respected the price ranges that we wanted to stick to. Despite the flooding that her office suffered after Hurricane Irene, she still came all the way to my Long Island venue a week later to show the sample table set-up. Overall a great experience working with her and her team!

The wedding mandap, put up for a traditional Hindu wedding, was simply beautiful. The fabrics were gorgeous and the whole space became truly transformed into a very special ceremony space. They're not cheap, but they are excellent. Also you can customize so that the package meets your budget & taste. We had simple and elegant decorations in the reception room--- and everything looked stunning! We also had a mandap (Indian wedding tent), which was gorgeous. I would not recommend any other decorator for an Indian wedding other than Elegant Affairs. They have been in the business for so long that they can decorate your event from top to bottom within minutes of meeting with you! I barely had to think and make hard decisions as I knew I could trust their advice!

We LOVED how everything turned out. Simply breathtaking. We really enjoyed working with everyone at Elegant Affairs, especially Sharda and Caitlin. I'd highly recommend working with them.

Outstanding. They are the best, they cost the most, but they deliver. Flexible with planning, great delivery/takedown on the big day, and gorgeous setup. The arrangements are great and they really know what they're doing. Outside of a little blip on the wedding day of them losing our bridal party floral arrangements (bouquets, boutaneers, etc.) they came through and the above wasn't really noticeable. They delivered an amazing scene and we'd use them again!

I absolutely loved the mandap for my Indian wedding at the Rockleigh Country Club - Sharda nailed it. Throughout the process it was hard for me to articulate what I had in my mind, but Sharda made it come to life better than I could've hoped.
While there were a few hiccups in terms of logistically meeting up, overall, I would say there's no one in the biz that's better than Elegant Affairs. You will probably pay more than a competitor, but you are getting quality and faith in a great final product.

incredible. thought Shobha Rao was fabulous. no pressure. worked within our budget and gave us excellent advice. note: her secretary's are awful. can't take messages, can't relay information properly. i cut the middleman out after awhile of frustration. i believe they're aware that many have had the same experience and hopefully will someday fix this problem.

Elegant affairs was too good to me! We did pay quite a bit for all their decor, centerpieces, & some other additional accents for the wedding, but I have to say everything looked SO beautiful!! And Sharda & her sister Shobha were the nicest, most patient & helpful two people that I've ever met! We went back to their office about 20 times, no lie, & every time they were so patient & willing to do whatever to make us happy. They were so sweet. And their work was just so creative & amazing - exactly what I've ever dreamed of for a wedding (& even more!) I HIGHLY recommend them for their work & their professionalism.

Vikram worked with us to design all of our wedding events, and I cannot stress enough that he is the BEST in the business. I was not the best at explaining my "vision" but somehow Vikram was able to grasp EXACTLY what we wanted it and made our events look more beautiful than I could have ever even imagined. I felt like I had a celebrity wedding thanks to Vikram and his amazing team. We had totally different looks for our Sangeet, Ceremony and Reception and he made them all work perfectly. He also really listened to what I wanted and never tried to push his own tastes on us. Also, we never felt that Vikram was trying to over charge us. In fact, many times he would discourage me from some more expensive ideas, reminding me that in the long run little details would not be cost effective. However, don't be fooled- EA is not cheap, but we think going with them is the best decision we made for our wedding. I trusted Vikram more than I did my wedding planner. He went above and beyond and helped me with other planning decisions and even was there to bring me water when I was nervous just before the ceremony! One warning-- Elegant Affairs is busy. They may not respond in a timely manner, and for me this was really stressful. However, if you trust the process and know that they will get things done. Your wedding will be beyond anything you ever imagined. 100% recommend!!

Elegant affairs came out on our wedding day and blew us out of expectations with our mandap and our wedding reception. Due to the lack of responsiveness and multiple issues with budgeting and back and forth, we were extremely worried. But she ended up created our sample mandap and our sample table designs and everything came out wonderful. You just need to be patient with her, and I must admit that I lost my patience on her multiple times, but she came through.

Elegant Affairs did our Mandap, reception stage and reception centerpieces. Sharda was our main contact person and she was lovely. From the first day that I met her I had such a good feeling and ease. She gave me great suggestions for our wedding decorations and flowers which turned out amazing. Everything was so professional and I had no anxiety. Everything looked amazing and I couldn't have asked for more.

They work within your budget but you have to watch when they do your billing. They can create a gorgeous setup for you!

Elegant Affairs will come through for you in professionalism, wherever else their shortcomings may be. We worked mainly with Gopal, who went the extra mile to ask for details, make really useful suggestions, and design exactly what we wanted for our reception. The planning process wasn't easy, as it was extremely iterative and we weren't always offered the best options for the price by some of Elegant Affairs' staff (so we had to keep asking for better options that reflected value, rather than cheap decor for affordability). In the end, we're happy with our decision. Their mandaps are not the newest or most stylish, so I would recommend going in asking for exactly what you want rather than expecting artistic input from your planner.

Even though the prices were a little high, at the end it was all worth it...they did a beautiful job on all the arrangements from the the ceremony to the reception...they were nothing less then PERFECT!

Elegant Affairs provided flowers and decor for our ceremony and reception.

Pros: Extremely flexible in working with your budget -- gave us a range of options for every aspect of the ceremony and reception decorations, and never pushed us to choose one thing over another. Really, really great prices for flowers, compared to other wedding florists. And on the day of the wedding, the flowers were beautiful -- exactly as promised. Also, Shardha and most of her staff are very personable.

Cons: It was hard to get an initial appointment, and when we finally did, it was rescheduled twice (the receptionist also isn't very friendly). We were extremely disappointed with a couple of aspects of the set-up on the wedding day: the mandap wasn't set up properly (the columns weren't put in the proper place, so you couldn't see them -- which is a real bummer, since we paid for them); the floor covering for the mandap stage was just some cloth that wasn't laid down properly, so there wasn't an even surface; and the aisle runner turned out to be dingy white business carpet which was tacked to the floor at the entrance of the ceremony room with some tape. All of these issues were things that I only saw immediately before the ceremony and during the reception, by which point I couldn't do anything about them. (The aisle runner looked so bad that my bridesmaids were running around right before the ceremony trying to get the venue people to get the tape fixed before the guests came in.)

If you're going to hire Elegant Affairs, I would suggest that you ask to see absolutely everything beforehand at your final visit with them. With the exception of the columns for the mandap, everything I saw beforehand looked good on the wedding day, too. And some of the setup issues may have been the fault of my venue rather than Elegant Affairs. Even with all the problems we had, I'd probably choose them again, but would make sure I checked into some of the details more closely.

They create beautiful, stunning mandaps and other decor, but we did run into a problem with them on materials, which they took a while to resolve (i.e., the week before the wedding!). Still, they're willing to work with your budget, and the product really is lovely.

Elegant Affairs is a trusted vendor in the wedding industry and despite our reservations and concerns about the high cost, we hired them for our wedding day. Because we chose not to hire their services for our entire wedding weekend, we were treated as second class customers. Shobha didn't hesitate to let us know that we weren't her priority, questioned our financial and other wedding decisions and was going to milk us for all we got. The cost of everything increased a week before the wedding, and the delivery of the work was sub par - in fact the colors were not even correct which was very upsetting to me having paid so much. Her staff are truly good at what they do and I feel bad that they work in an oppressive company, all of her support staff were on point. She did do us the courtesy of attending the day of our ceremony to be there to see it through which we appreciated but working with someone who is patronizing for your wedding really isn't the way to go - nor does it make sense to pay such high fees. It wasn't worth the price or the difficulty.

Our decorations came out quite nicely, but they were expensive, and the staff did not respond promptly to emails. Decisions were hard to make because they didn't clearly present all the options. We had more than one point person, which was confusing, and they were often late on deliverables. Overall, it felt like they didn't value our business and often made us feel like we were being difficult.
