Emcee and Dance Floor Hero!

Joey worked my wedding and it went incredibly well. He was communicative throughout the whole process, helpful and professional, and really made our night special. Music was bopping, our dance floor was packed throughout, and everyone came away raving about the night. I’ve worked with other DJs in the company, and everyone is truly exceptional. I can’t recommend them enough.

Great reception DJ

We were so happy with our DJ! We had an eclectic mix of hip hop, pop, 80s, iranian music.. There was so much! We love to dance, but we can be picky, and DJ Toby didn't disappoint at all. He did a great job making it all work and feeling out when people were/weren't dancing and knowing when to switch the vibe. We had a blast. He even took a last minute request (right before dancing started!) that got everyone out on the floor! Beyond this, the team was professional, quick to respond, and respected/understood our do-not-play list perfectly.

Great Service And Easy To Work With

I chose Electric Entertainment DJs for my wedding. Joey was great at communicating with me and the venue in a timely manner. He was understanding and explained things in detail when I needed him to. When we needed to change our date due to covid he booked our new date with no issue and was very understanding of the whole thing.

The DJ assigned to us, Toby, was absolutely excellent. The equipment he brought and the service he provided was top-notch. We provided playlists and special instructions and the DJ followed all of them quite well. He was communicative, on time, and open to any special requests we had.

I would easily recommend Electric Entertainment DJs to my friends and family for any event. Excellent service and value!

I reached out to Electric entertainment a little over a year prior to our wedding. Communication was always quick and easy! They have a very clean and simple way to submit song requests. We had to reschedule our wedding due to COVID19 and Joey allowed that with no issues. We actually had one of the experienced DJ's booked but ending up getting Joey for the wedding and WE ARE SO HAPPY WE DID!! He was so amazing!! He played all of the songs we requested and everyone loved all of the songs he played. He was great at announcing everyone and keeping everything flowing. We even added an extra hour 15 minutes before he was supposed to stop the music and he says yes with no complaints! The music was so good we didn't want it to end!! All of our family and guests were saying how amazing our DJ was the next day. Thank you Joey for everything!!

Fantastic DJ! Wish I could get married again!

Can't say enough good things about our experience with Joey and Electric Entertainment. From the start Joey made us feel comfortable and excited for our wedding. His professionalism and knowledge of DJing were top notch! All of the DJ's working for Electric Entertainment had prepared videos, which took the guessing out of using their services. Not to mention an awesome price point! Would use him again in a heartbeat. Thanks Joey!

Great Party!

We had DJ Chris with Electric Entertainment for our Ceremony, Cocktails, and Reception. His brother emceed! Both did a really great job and were very responsive prior to the wedding. We shared playlists with them, and they pretty much just used those or songs similar to those on the playlists, in addition to taking requests. The last hour of the wedding dancing was definitely a blast! I would definitely recommend them.

Top tier experience, highly recommend!

From start to finish, working with Joey and his team was absolute perfection. Chris was our DJ for our LA wedding reception, along with a live sax player. It was stellar! These guys are professional, creative and budget friendly. Would recommend!

Alexa from electric Entertainment DJs

Alexa was our wedding DJ and she was amazing! First off, our venue was 3 levels, so she had to pick up and move her equipment several times, and I honestly didn’t even notice a break in sections...the night flowed amazingly with music! She took my song requests and even played specific songs for different events occurring throughout the night. She also did a great job with on the spot announcements. She was very sweet and I’d definitely use her for future events!

you wont regret hiring Joey

This review is a bit overdue, but still deserves to be written. Joey was phenomenal as a DJ at my reception. I was nervous he wouldn't fully grasp the vibe I was looking for, but now that it's all said and done I realize I was nervous about nothing. I asked that he play only R&B prior to the reception (while we were doing photos and such) and my guests shared with me that he hit the nail right on the head. For the actual reception my husband and I are very heavy into 90s hip-hop -- again he nailed it. He really kept the event moving, provided great audio at our outdoor venue and was truly a professional. Joey was incredibly easy to work with, and never gave me an issue. I originally reached out to book him over the Holiday season and even then he was attentive, quick to respond, and followed up after the new year. on our big day Joey met every request. I would refer him a thousand times over and if I had to do my big day all over again, he would still be a part of it.

He was great!

Joey was so easy to work with. I asked him to make a shortened version of a song for our first dance (it was choreographed) and he did it without any hesitation. He listened to everything we said and was just great the day of. I have absolutely no complaints. I would definitely recommend him to everyone for any event.

Best wedding DJ! DJ Joey was an amazing MC/DJ this past weekend at our wedding reception.

He was super professional, friendly, charismatic and made sure everything ran smoothly. Even before the ceremony, he made sure to double check to make sure everything was correct before it even started.

Best Wedding DJ Ever!

Can't recommend Joey any more highly! He was amazing at our wedding last weekend, a true professional MC, charismatic, timely, & played the best music. His experience truly shines as there was a moment during our speeches where I didn't have my notes and we needed to pause for a moment. He played it off perfectly and circled back around. DJ Alexa is amazing!!

We hired Alexa as our DJ and we are so happy we did! Before the wedding, Alexa was so great about communicating with us and making sure everything was covered. Day of, she acted as our master of ceremonies as we didn't have an official day of coordinator and everything went so incredibly smooth that day. She is super sweet, easy-going, and made the day so great. The dance floor was a big priority for my husband and she truly knew how to keep the party going - sometimes the dance crowd would thin out from dancing too much but she always got people back out there after a song or two of rest!

Got the Party Started, All Right

Joey was the best wedding DJ we could ever ask for. The moment we met with him we knew it was going to be perfect. He had a laidback personality that made us feel comfortable and not anxious about the music at our wedding, but was always prepared and in communication with us. His prices were super reasonable and perfect for our needs. We loved that he honored our requests for "clean" songs but still knew how to get the party started! We are so grateful to have met him and recommend him to any couple that's looking to have a good time at their wedding!

The best dj in the world

DJ Joey provided the beats at our wedding, keeping three generations dancing through the entire party. Even great uncle Clyde was moshing at one point. The whole dance floor was playing air guitar to Small Town Girl, played air drums to Toto's Africa, a conga line formed, and we had an enormous group hug at the end of the night. Everyone had a good time.

Joey is friendly, flexible, easy going, and very affordable.

The perfect wedding soundtrack =)

Electric Entertainment DJs were great! We had a beautiful yet challenging layout and venue which required 3 music stations between the ceremony, reception, and dancing areas-- all generator powered, yet the music was seamless! We were able to meet with Joey ahead of time, so our experience was very personable and share our musical preferences and establish a fun rapport. It felt like a fun friend was MC-ing, one we could trust not to get drunk and keep us all on track =) The cost was a great value, and Joey brought uplighting as well!

Joey and Alexa worked well with the rest of our wending vendors, communicating well with our coordinator, photographer, and videographer. It made our wedding run soooooo smoothly and sooooo much fun!!! It was the best soundtrack and party mix to the best day ever!

Our DJ, Joey, made our day absolutely magical! He kept the party going all night with his amazing song selection! He took our preferences into account but since we gave him complete creative control, he was able to keep people on the dance floor and avoid awkward pauses and stagnation. Joey was awesome! He totally got the vibe we wanted for our wedding and provided great energy, music, and was a wonderful MC.

We had our wedding at the 1909 which doesn’t allow loud music outside but Joey was able to move from the outside to the indoors dance room seamlessly, i didn’t even notice the music has moved until we were told it was time to dance! We had so many people compliment the music from our wedding. The price is perfect for our budget and we felt very well taken care of.

What a great company. We had our wedding at the Houdini Estate and that provided its own set of challenges but Joey and Alexa came through and during the walkthrough helped us determine everything we needed. They were extremely price competitive and very professional/easy to work with. We could tell from the beginning that they really cared about helping us have an amazing wedding and the day of was no different. On time, good equipment, good communication before and during, very professional, and adapted to our last minute needs. We definitely recommend them for anyone looking for a great company at a great price. If I could give them 6 stars I would!

DJ Joey is the best! From the beginning, communication was seamless and prompt. He worked with us to get the best package for our venue needs and also to get a sense of what kind of music/vibe we were going for. We had string lights that we bought and Joey had no problem putting them up for our reception at a very fair price. The music and the lights at our wedding turned out absolutely perfect!! Pricing is affordable and he even came all the way up from LA to Los Olivos for our wedding. Would definitely recommend Electric Entertainment DJs!

Joey was amazing! He was our DJ/MC for our wedding on 5/12/18, and he and his team did such a great job. Joey was super responsive and professional with us throughout the whole process. We had a thorough meeting the week of the wedding where he made sure he was aware of all the details needed for the actual wedding day. We were really pleased with the outcome! My wife and I used Electric Entertainment DJs for our wedding and we personally could not be more happier! First off, they were quite affordable and the pricing weren’t steep. Secondly, the booking/hiring process was made very easy by Joey, which is our DJ by the way. Joey swiftly responds to emails and he is such an easy going person and easy to communicate with. As the wedding was getting closer, my wife and I had a conference call with Joey to finalize the music that we wanted played at the wedding.

During the wedding, many if our guests really enjoyed the music. My wife’s only complaint is that some of the music she picked to be played during dinner were not played. Nevertheless, the music that were played at that time were still appropriate for the occasion. Furthermore, a few of my guests questioned me about the song of choice that were being played during the dance session, however, I believe that it’s personal preference at that point. Ultimately, I really enjoyed DJ Joey’s performance at my wedding. The dance floor were always full and everybody most definitely had a great time. More importantly my wife and I.

Joey was absolutely AMAZING!!! My husband and I could not have been more thrilled to have him DJ the evening. He was responsive and intuitive and totally listened to the vibe we wanted and had everyone dancing!! Also, I didn't want a DJ who was too cheesy and "wedding-y" (haha), and Joey was so cool, just very down to earth and got along with my whole group of friends and family with ease! I 100% would love to use him again, as well as recommend him everyone! He really made it a great, fun dance party!

Joey was fantastic! He made everything go smoothly, had the songs we wanted, and even amped up my mic during my set (I’m a comedian) when I started yelling at the party next door for being loud! It was hilarious! Definitely recommend Electric Entertainment!

Joey truly went above and beyond at my brother's wedding! The music was perfect, the night flowed smoothly, and he made sure that the bride and groom were aware of the scheduling changes the photographer was making. We would not hesitate to hire him again.

I highly recommend Electric Entertainment - Joey was by far the BEST DJ we could have asked for our wedding! When I reached out, he was friendly, quick to respond and clearly explained all the services that he could provide for our wedding day. It was also very helpful to see some videos on their website to see him in action. When we met with him, we could tell how he cared about our wedding and the atmosphere that we wanted to go along with that. Having a great DJ was an absolute must on our list as we wanted to have the right music fit the right vibe of “us” and Electric Entertainment exceeded our expectations. Not only was he a great MC at our reception, but he also dressed professionally which definitely says something about the quality in which he works. Our friends and family still talk about how great he was in playing the perfect song at the perfect moment and we can’t thank Joey enough!

Great! Professional and talented! We used Electric Entertainment for my son's Bar Mitzvah and had an incredible night of fun and dancing. DJ Chris was a master! I took time to make a list of songs we wanted and they added many more we had not considered that fit the mix so so well. We were all very impressed and had a blast! So many of us seriously did not eat dinner and danced the entire night.

I got the light package added on and it was so cost effective and added a lot to the experience. I believe it was the full set of up lights as well as dance floor lights. Compared to the venue pricing for lights, this is the way to go.

Additionally, I sent about 400 photos for a slideshow that we wanted to be on the projector behind the DJ the entire time. We did not stop the party for a slide show of our son's life. We preferred that the show run all night so we could experience it in a variety of ways and not stop the fun. This was a great choice because Electric Entertainment made a great arrangement of the slides and all in attendance just kept dancing and having fun with the photos blended into the experience.

DJ Chris is the bomb! Electric Entertainment has our vote! We will hire you again for sure! Best price and best experience! You will be thrilled!

I had a very offbeat style of music in mind with hunting for a DJ and could not find anyone to fit the bill. After searching the web, I lucked out and stumbled upon Electric Entertainment. They were fast to respond, and I knew almost immediately from speaking to Joey that this was the DJ. They were to the point, professional, and made it extremely easy to organize the wedding activities that matched our style. They avoided a lot of the cheesy cadences in vocal tone I hear in a stereotypical wedding. They were quick to read the crowd on any adjustments to be made. It was awesome not to stress on an important aspect that guided the tone of the ceremony and reception. I highly recommend Electric Entertainment as it will be one less worry on your mind when planning a wedding or event.

Had the pleasure of having Joey as our DJ/MC for our wedding reception. He did an outstanding job that night capturing the crowd's attention, bringing the night to life with music and accommodating our requests! We had a special video we wanted to show our guests as part of our first dance and Joey was able to run with it smoothly. No problems whatsoever and it worked out perfectly! Really thankful for his services and would recommend him to anyone looking for an MC/DJ for their wedding. Thanks again Joey! You were a part of making our wedding celebration a special one!!

From my first email to DJ Joey to the very last song at our wedding, he was absolutely the best! Joey is quick to respond to emails and was very professional throughout the whole process. My husband and I gave some guidelines on what we liked and didn't like and then we let Joey do his thing. He had all our guests -- including the older, more reserved people -- dancing all night long! We got so many compliments on the music at our wedding and how much fun people had. Thank you, DJ Joey!!!!

Electric Entertainment DJ was one of the last vendors we hired for our wedding because to be perfectly honest, we had no clue how to go about deciding on one, but wow, did we luck out with them and DJ Joey! We had an absolutely great experience with Electric Entertainment DJ. All of our communication was answered promptly by Joey in the months leading up to our wedding, including a last minute details call, the week-of. Additionally, he helped me pull off a surprise wedding hula dance for my husband. We actually chose him based on the reviews here, and the fact that he's previously done other weddings at our venue, and he did not disappoint. We especially appreciated that all the info about the company, including pricing, were readily available on their website. Everything went smoothly and Joey was great to work with. Not being huge music people, we left a lot of the choices up to him for cocktail hour, dinner and the reception, only really giving him a few songs for the family dances and first dance. Joey's selections were perfect and he kept everyone dancing the whole night! Would highly recommend Electric Entertainment DJ.

DJ Joey from Electric Entertainment was one of our best vendors for our wedding. I never had a problem reaching him when we needed to talk about things. Overall, he was just pleasant to work with and worked hard to fulfill all of our requests. We met with him twice before the wedding and emailed a few times and he was always responsive and very helpful. On the wedding day, he did his best to engage with guests and complete everything that was on the schedule. Of course, the music was great and everyone had a good time. If you don't want to worry about your DJ and DJ services on the day of your wedding you should definitely hire him!

Five stars all-around for Joey. My wife and I were extremely pleased with Joey and his team. From the first email correspondence (which was very prompt) to the initial phone call (very easy guy to talk to) to the big day...Joey was professional and sharp. On our wedding day, Joey followed our play and do-not-play lists. He mixed in tracks that fit the flow of the day and had smooth banter to bridge the speeches and other key moments. To the point about Joey's filler speech, he showed great restraint and keep things on track and smoothly emceed the toasts and first dances. Our biggest fear was DJ with corny jokes and a look-at-me approach. That is NOT how Joey operates. Many thanks to Joey and his team for making our day smooth and memorable!!!

It was a pleasure working with Joey , as a event planner you like to work with responsive and dependable vendors that will be by your side. Joey is the BEST!!!!!!! He was so great to work with and listened to everything that we wanted and reminded of things we hadn't thought about! He was very flexible and easy to work with through he whole process. I changed my mind a lot and had a bunch of last minute changes, and he was always so willing to accommodate us. We got compliments all night from our wedding guests that he was one of the best DJ's they have ever had at a wedding. We could not be happier with our decision to go with Joey. He kept the party going all night!

DJ Joey was our wedding DJ early in August. Everyone loved him and he did an amazing job. His prices are low compared to other vendors we checked, but we couldn't have asked for more from him!

Joey was such a pleasure to work with. My fiance and I are constantly busy people and gave Joey A TON of requests in the days leading up to the wedding, all of which he was able to fulfill. He took our instructions to heart when we gave them to him and was very good about sticking to the genres of music we liked which was of the utmost importance to us. He actually has forms online which you can submit in unlimited amounts that specify what he should play, what he shouldn't play, what time he should play them at, ect. It was a totally customizable DJ experience! He did an awesome job with the announcements and MC-ing of the event too! Honestly, he made our wedding so much fun and the Bound family is SO grateful we had Joey to MC our event and keep the party going all night long. Highly recommend him if you're picky about your music and looking for someone who takes your wants and needs to heart.

We hired DJ Joey from Electric Entertainment for our Wedding Reception early July 2016 and it was the right decision. We were absolutely impressed with his ability to read the crowd, and strike the right cord to get our guest on the dance floor. We wanted our wedding to be fun and memorable for our guest, and DJ Joey and Lydia Ma, our MC, worked the crowd. They built in games that got the audience engaged early on (Scavenger hunt, I Love You Marshmallows, Guess your Bride, etc). By the time the dance floor was open, everybody was on their feet. We had a small intimate wedding of 80 people, large venue, and the dance floor was packed. It was a challenge to get people off the dance floor when the reception was over. Even when the time was up, DJ Joey gave us an ENCORE performance and that really energized our guest.

Here are some key highlights working with DJ Joey:
1. Groomsman Dance Mix – The Groomsman and I (Groom) planned a surprise dance performance for my wife. We took private lessons at the LADanceFit and had choreographed a full dance routine filled with solo’s, free style, and group synchronized moves. In order to pull it off, we built the performance using a Medley of 4 songs ( My House – Flo Rida, Billie Jean – Michael Jackson, I’m All Yours – Jay Sean, Marry You – Bruno Mars), and DJ Joey helped us mix the music together. It was perfect. I want to point out that I provided Joey with the music and time stamps 7 days before the big day (talk about last minute request), and he sent back the perfect mix within 2 days. We had the remaining 5 days to practice. This was definitely the highlight of our wedding, and videos were instantly shared among our family and friends. And to top it all off, there were no additional charge, and this was included in the Premium Package Service.

Joey was great from the very beginning. His website was helpful, providing a list of services. Joey promptly returned all emails and quickly answered the questions we had. He did a fabulous job on our wedding day with the music for our ceremony and reception. The attention to detail made planning our wedding day very easy, and very appreciated. Finding an affordable DJ around the Santa Barbara, CA area was one of the most difficult parts of wedding planning for me. 'Only $1,500 for 4 hours of music--what a steal!', 'High-quality music services for your event? No problem! Just sign away your future firstborn child and put down a small deposit!', all the ads said. Just when I was starting to seriously consider using my 2010 Macbook Pro and a pair of cheap speakers, I came across Electric Entertainment's ad online. And THANK GOD I did--Joey was everything I was looking for in a DJ/emcee and so much more. Aside from being easygoing and friendly, he is a true professional who knows how to cater to his clients' needs and wishes. When I presented my budget restraints, he graciously worked with them and gave me, by far, the best value for my money. I'm still receiving compliments about his work from my guests. Basically, I can't speak highly enough of him and will be sure to recommend him to any and everyone in the future. Thank you, Joey!!

DJ Joey was truly amazing! He did everything exactly the way I wanted it done and he was very professional and personable as well. DJ Joey was the DJ who provided music at my wedding reception, and he did awesome job! He was very responsive to all my requests and was very prompt, professional, and courteous.
