I'm so glad my husband and I found Elana and Kim. They take the time to get to know you as a couple and want to hear all about your wedding from beginning to end. They ask you what you are looking for and put together a tailored experience and plan for you. We had an unusal traditional wedding. We booked a permit for our favorite beach in Northport and then went to our favorite italian restaurant and had about 60 guests. Everything went so smoothly. I would recommend Elan for all types of weddings since Kim and her were very professional, kind, and really listened. Thank you.

Photos Even Lovlier Than Your Memories

Two days ago we received 103 carefully chosen "preview photos" that would hold us over while we waited for the many more expertly produced higher resolution pictures. This incredibly thoughtful gesture confirmed that we had chosen the perfect company. Reviewing those photos was like reliving our wedding day.

Alexa, our photographer knew exactly where to be and when to be there. She had the instinct to craft perfect settings and the skills to take perfect photos. She read the crowd and took posed photos of people who needed and wanted them. She took action shots on the dance floor and of us tightly holding our precious granddaughter bridesmades who wept happy tears through the ceremony.

I don't like being photographed. In my 74 years I can probably count 5 pictures that I'm willing to share. Today I have about 100 more.

I endorse this firm whole heartedly and urge both young and old new brides to engage them. Your day will be photgraphed exactly as you remember it - perhaps even more beautifully.

Highly Recommend Elana Goodridge Photography!

We cannot speak highly enough of Elana and Kim! Professional, responsive, and informative. Elana responded to our inquiry almost immediately! Mind you it was a last-minute request, and she did not hesitate to accommodate us. She listened to what we were looking for and provided options to choose from. Kim came to the ceremony. Kim is awesome! She is a pleasure to work with. And the pictures! We are so happy with the results! If all businesses were as professional and courteous as Elana's what a wonderful world it would be!

Elana is amazing. She goes out of her way to get the shot you want and memorialize your special day. From our engagement pictures, to our wedding and now our first family pictures with our daughter, Elana has beautifully captured some of our favorite moments. From posed to candid shots, Elana captures the feelings from your special day!

I was looking for a photographer for our son's Bar Mitzvah, and found some great reviews of Elana's work online. I kept going back to her website because I thought she had really captured the essence of the events she had photographed. Not realizing she didn't even live in NY at the time, I reached out. I have to say I was a little skeptical at first working with someone out of state, but Elana didn't disappoint. She was easy to work with and showed up on time for the pre-shoot at our Synagogue, as well as for the party the next evening. She and her husband helped out with our video montage as well, and it was amazing. We're so glad we used Elana for our son's Bar Mitzvah photography. She captured some amazing shots in a space where the lighting seemed a bit challenging (club-like with lots of strobe lighting), and the pictures provide a beautiful memory from our wonderful occasion. We'd definitely recommend her and use her again!

Professional and Quality Photos.

One of the best descisions we made was hiring Elana for our wedding. She was very flexible with our schedules and I felt that she committed herself 100% to making our day that much more special. All of the photos came out beautiful and not a moment was missed. Pricing was very reasonable and the quality of the photos are well above our expectations. We received all of our photos quickly and consent communication was held throughout the whole process. I would highly recommend these services.

A terrific choice for an event photographer

Fantastic photographer!!

I highly recommend Elana as an event photographer! She photographed my daughter's Bat Mitzvah and the pictures perfectly capture our memories of the event. So many beautiful ones to choose from! Couldn’t Be Happier

Elana is so amazing! It was my fiancé and my first photo shoot and she could tell we were a little tense and made us feel comfortable and tried to get us to become ourselves but it was a little harder for us haha but Elana was still able to capture every moment we would have wished for and through her pictures you can see the love we have for one another! I can't wait to set up another shoot with her and then hopefully set up our wedding! Thank you for everything Elana! You have become our go to photographer!

Dream Engagement Photos ✅ Perfect Wedding Photos ✅✅

My wife Erika previously raved about our first meet and greet and amazing engagement photo shoot experience with Elana in an earlier review. Ten months then went by that led up to our perfect wedding day with her and her assistant as our photographers. We touched base here and there as needed, but we were so confident with her reliability and professionalism we knew going months without communication wasn't something to worry about. Erika sent her a tentative schedule for the wedding day a week or two before and the day of she arrived early completely prepared having remembered all our ideas like we signed our contract yesterday, not last year. Throughout the day she guided us to capture both candid and posed photos, making sure if we wanted anything specific it was done. For the most part we just took full advantage of her talent of playing off our personalities and chemistry to get great natural looking pictures. She worked around our schedule and managed to keep us on track to get everything we wanted done and captured in photos while still allowing us to spend time with guests and enjoy our day as we wanted. It was impressive really how she maintained her professionalism while also blending in with our guests. Everyone loved her! Guests commented after how she appeared to be everywhere never missing a photo, but was also extremely friendly joining in on the laughs as the night went on. We recieved over 40 edited wedding photos 3 days after and all almost 900 edited photos in 4 weeks! She and her assistant photographer took such fun and beautiful photos of every single guest, not a single one was missed. They were so great my wife printed at least 1 or 2 small ones of our guests having fun together or with us and sent them with our thank yous. Everyone loved them! You just can't beat Elana's value for the price. She'll work with you with flexible packages to make sure you get your priorities in your budget. Everything you get from reliability and professionalism to talent and quality of photos will make your wedding/event go so smoothly. Who doesn't want one less thing to totally not worry about in the months leading up to and during your big day? Thank you Elana!

Quality, Professional Service & Beautiful Photography

From the very first interactions with Elana we could tell that professionalism and delivering quality service are essential to the way she manages her business. We first met in early July 2017 in preparation for our October 2018 wedding. Elana designed a package that fit our needs and created a payment schedule that we all agreed to. In November 2017 our engagement session took place. We had a wonderful experience and received beautiful photos. When that was completed we still had several months before the wedding, but Elana made sure to keep in touch. She checked in with me to verify the details and to ensure she knew our schedule of events the day of the wedding. On the day of our wedding she and her assistant photographer arrived early and were ready to photograph our day immediately. Throughout the day Elana's presence was extremely positive & she photographed everything. We received a preview of our photos less than a week after the wedding. Three weeks after the wedding we received all of our photos beautifully retouched. We were thrilled with the results. I would certainly recommend Elana to photograph your wedding or special event!

Alana was a pleasure to work with. My wife and I got to know her on both a personal and professional level and enjoyed all of our time spent together. And the most important part, the pictures came out incredible! She was very easy to work with, as she had a rapport with not only the bridal party and guests, but also the other hired professionals making sure the event went off without a hitch. My album is filled to the brim with amazing photos! I hired Elana for a formal party celebrating my father's 90th birthday. Family & friends flew in from around the world, this occasion meant so much to us. We love the posed individual and group shots, there were so many to choose from. They're special for a variety of reasons, among them that there are pictures of my dad with all his kids, his 19 grandkids and 6 great-grandchildren- it was **really, really important** to get those right on this occasion! But the ones that made my jaw drop were the candids she took of tender, fleeting moments that really capture the love, affection and pure joy of the occasion. We didn't even realize she was taking these, like a ninja. A really sweet ninja. Elana was very professional and a genuine pleasure to work with. Our clan is larger than most and hence, unwieldy. I don't know how she did it, except to say she's clearly a pro. The photos in my album are precious and irreplaceable, we can't thank her enough and we will definitely hire her for my son's Bar Mitzvah.

Five stars on every level since the day I first messaged Elana. It doesn't matter if your priority is professionalism, flexiblity for scheduling or pricing, photography and editing talent, or reliability because she's got all of it. She responds to messages within hours, never days, and was able to meet my fiance and I just days after I contacted her. She took our vision, priorities and budget, and put together our own wedding/engagement package with incomparable value. Hiring her for our engagement photos and wedding day has by far been the most stress free part of wedding planning. We were looking for a photographer willing to travel 2.5 hours to Sedona for our engagement shoot and she wasn't just happy to do it, she was excited! Our shoot went fantastic, with just enough direction to give us different fun starting points with muliple backdrops and from there simply made us comfortable to be ourselves, have fun, and let our love shine through beautifully captured candid movements. We got a preview photo the very next morning and within 3 days we received all of our (over 150) beautiful edited photos. Three days! Our wedding day is still 10 months away, and with so much still to do I can't be more thankful that I won't have to spend a second concerned about this aspect of it. I can't wait to see how she records our big day and hopefully many other future milestones in our lives together through amazing photos.

Elana did an absolute beautiful job! From my first conversation with her to working with her now reviewing out wedding photos she has been the best vendor to work with. We took our engagement photos about a month before our wedding. It gave us a chance to get to know each other and for my Husband and I too get used to being in front of the camera. We had tons of emails back and forth and late night calls to finalize the day of itinerary and each time she reassured me everything was going to workout no matter how many times the plan changed. The second Elana and her husband showed up at my house to start the day they were immediately taking picture and walking around to find the best spots for photos. It was so beautiful that her and her husband have such a great working relationship and truly added more meaning to the day. They captured everything from the day!! My whole family cannot stop looking at the photos and the amazing job they did!! Thank you for making the memory of our special day truly last a lifetime!

There are not enough stars or complimentary words to give Elana Goodridge for her ingenious photography skills, her wonderful personality, her responsiveness, her flexibility in working through contracts, her reasonable pricing, her prompt professionalism and for her overall charm. My daughter got married in the NY area recently and all I can say, is THANK GOODNESS I found Elana. I interviewed and researched many photographers for weeks on end because we were so picky and everyone in the family wanted something different in the overall photographs. The photographer is the most important vendor, in my opinion, because the photos are the only thing left after the wedding. The bride wanted a lot of candid photos and someone with creativity and great editing and design skills for all those imaginative, somewhat trendy photos brides like nowadays. My husband wanted traditional wedding photos, such as table shots. Many photographers do not like to do those table shots because that require good organizational skills, patience and are a lot of work, especially at a big wedding. I also wanted someone who was easy to work with, had a good sense of humor and was charming and flexible. Price was also a consideration; many photographers charge outrageous amounts for the albums, alone. There are a lot of moving parts to a wedding and the photographer is really key to helping make the day drama-free and well-organized. No one could have worked harder on the wedding day than Elana (and her assistant). No one could have been more organized, flexible and creative. Words cannot describe her incredible charm, patience and sense of humor. Elana was key to the tremendous success and drama-free flow of the wedding and to the staggering number of wonderful photographs we now have to cherish this happy day in our family's life. Everyone at the wedding commented on how Elana was "on another level" with the combo of creative, candid and traditional shots. We just LOVE Elana Goodridge!

Elana was terrific in photographing our twins' B'nai Mitzvah. She was patient, flexible, and was able to capture so much of the day for us. We felt comfortable with her and she was unobtrusive, which was very important to us. The photos she took are great. Most businesses tell you that the customer is always right, but in this case this is not true. Elana Goodridge is always right! She has a keen eye for photography and is amazing at capturing the moments that count on video. I originally booked Elana for a surprise bridal shower in July 2016 and leading up to the event Elana always stayed in contact to make sure that our visions coincided - some of the stress from planning this day for the bride to be was immediately alleviated from our first phone call. She is punctual, takes tasteful photos, and during your event she is like a fly on the wall. She gets the photos and videos to you in a timely manner. She asks the right questions leading up to your event such as 'is there an agenda?' because she never misses a moment. Elana shows great dedication and pride in her work. She also takes the time to get to know you and the people you are planning an event for. We loved her so much so, that in the midst of planning an October 1, 2016 wedding the bride and groom forgot to book a photographer for their newlywed brunch the next day. On a whim, I emailed Elana to see if she was available and she cancelled her plans to be there for us. Her prices are fair, the quality, turn around, and customer service she provides is immeasurable. Needless to say that we will be keeping Elana in mind for future personal and corporate events.

I traveled from México to NYC to propose to my girlfriend at Times Square, I was really nervous because even with all the planning we did several months before, I knew that in such a chaotic place anything can go wrong. Elana gave me a lot of confidence, since the moment I spotted her waiting for us to take a candid session before the proposal I felt relieved, she took an amazing set of pics and my girlfriend never realized we were being photographed! then she magically captured every single moment in the proposal, and the set after proposal was truly amazing. As a marriage proposal planner, two things make a proposal a success: the execution of the proposal itself, and the photos capturing the moments surrounding the proposal. After working with Elana in May 2016, I was so impressed with her level of professionalism, ability to shoot in low light situations, and sense of ease in working with engaged couples, that I hired her again for another proposal in August. Finding someone who will capture the energy and importance on your wedding is so overwhelming. Elana's quick responses, strong portfolio and general kindness attracted us to her right away. She did our engagement photos and all of our family and friends went crazy for them so we knew we had to hire her for the wedding as well. She came with us on the final sight visit and did a full tour of the space to ensure that on the big day, no backdrop would be missed. When our backup photographer fell through, Elana called me and told me not to worry and that she would find a wonderful replacement (and she did! David Reyes and Elana worked flawlessly together to capture both posed and candid shots!) We had two big families to work with and Elana was patient, kind and focused. From the engagement photo shoot, through wedding planning and to the actual wedding day, Elana took such good care of us and we are forever grateful! We cannot recommend her services enough and wish you the very best for your special day!

Elana was simply wonderful! We had an unusual event with multiple locations across different dates and she was very accommodating. She even turned around a full video and set of photos between one event (Monday) and the next (Saturday). The video was perfect and the photos are fantastic. Also, I'm pretty sure she's captured the best photo of me in my entire life. It's STILL my Facebook profile pic. :)

We worked with Elana for my oldest son Jack’s Bar Mitzvah and she did a beautiful job. We met prior to the event at my home and made an instant connection. She is warm, friendly, professional and very easy to work with. The portraits at the temple were excellent and the beautiful photos continued at the party. She helped capture the essence of the day. We all felt comfortable and especially Jack who is most important. Elana was always available to offer her assistance before, during and after the event. I highly recommend Elana, she offers her best with a personal touch. She is one of a kind and we will absolutely use her as my photographer for my 9 year old son Drew in 4 years.

We booked Elana for our annual Homecoming at the last minute, but she had an important family occasion to attend so she couldn’t get there at the beginning of the event. I was assigned to guide her through the room and point out who to be sure to shoot, explain what was going on, etc. Elana arrived exactly as planned, and I saw her arrive, but I turned my back for a few seconds and lost her. Oh boy! Where was she? I was supposed to show her the ropes, and now I didn’t know where she was.

And, then, I saw her. She was already completely involved with taking pictures. She clearly did not need any guidance from me. By the time I found her she had already taken dozens of shots. She is a master at capturing the flavor and spirit of the event, and everyone seemed to know her already. She did not interfere with the event to pose people but knew when a group would be happy to turn and face the camera together. Pictures from this year’s Homecoming were by far the best we have ever had. Not only that, but the volume of pictures gives us every possible shot to choose from.

Elana Goodridge photographed my son's Bar Mitzvah in the fall of 2014. We were so very pleased by both the process and the outcome and it was well worth it! Elana is great at setting-up the 'staged' shots, helping getting everyone to relax. What puts her head and shoulders above the rest is her true expertise at catching those candid shots. It is easy to see by the photos, that she is able to take the shots, while being completely unobtrusive. These candid shots are really the keepsake gems. Catching the true feelings/meaning of the day! She also seems to be everywhere at once and captured so many of these candid shots of so many of the guests! My twins just had their B'nai Mitzvah this summer and Elana was our photographer. The photos captured the joy and depth of the event beautifully. I am thrilled to have wonderful photos of my 95-year-old mom, as well as the light, bright photos of the many kids that attended. Elana Goodridge's photography is truly phenomenal! As soon as they were put up on Facebook, we had family and friends calling and texting us non-stop to tell us how well the photographer caught the true spirit of our relationship on film! Everyone was so pleased to see the photographs so authentic and natural, as opposed to so many engagement shots that look so staged. Also, Elana helped us to find locations all over the city that would best capture our personalities and we could not be any more pleased with how they came out. She made the whole experience so relaxed yet joyful that we knew we had to book her for our big day!

Since the day I first spoke with Elana, she is been nothing short of incredible. Just chatting with her on the phone prior to hiring her, I was put at ease by her warm nature and professionalism. We are thrilled that she will be photographing our boys' B'nai Mitzvah. We recently did a pre-mitzvah photo shoot. Elana met us in Manhattan and spent hours catching the perfect shots in a creative and fun way. Since we are thinking of doing a NYC theme, she went to great efforts finding the perfect background sights, including the subway, Broadway, taxi cabs, Times Square, and many more. With two twelve year old boys changing fifteen times, she has the patience of a saint. Beyond this, the pictures came out fantastic. Her vision and artistic talent is second to none. Elana was a wonderfully calm presence during all of our wedding stress and made us feel comfortable both with her and the camera. It was so nice to know she had it all under control and we had nothing to worry about.

Words cannot describe how much we love the photos Elana Goodridge took for our one year anniversary! Every picture was so flawless and truly took our breath away. We read the reviews, we talked on the phone, we met at the venue and shared appetizers and wine, we engaged Elana to photograph our wedding, and we are thrilled with the results. Everything other reviewers have said is spot on. She is a wonderful person who truly wants to do a great job for her new best friends! Your wedding day is supposed to be the most amazing day of your life. You want everything to go as planned, for everyone to have a great time, and to remember every moment of it. Thankfully, all went this way and every single moment of it was captured beautifully. Elana’s ability to snap all these great moments, allows us to relive our special day as if it were yesterday. We could not have been more stunned and blown away once we received her photos.

Meeting with Elana, to get a sense of our vision and expectations, was a smooth and stress free endeavor. Our goal was to capture the night, in it’s most candid form, as well as getting to see the things we might have missed out on. Elana really made us feel like the center of attention. From the Bride’s Father tearing up, to the Groom’s Grandmother’s looking on as everyone danced, it was all there for us to relive and admire. We especially loved looking at all of ceremony pictures, somehow she captured our most intimate moments without us even realizing she was there.

Elana was nothing short of amazing to work with. She takes concern to every details and her photo editing skills are superb. Having Elana as our photographer was one of the best decision we made when it came to planning this wedding. 50 only comes once in a lifetime and I wanted to celebrate myself! I also wanted to give gratitude to all my friends who have cared and supported me on my journey. So, I threw myself a party! The night needed to be captured via pictures. I desired a photographer that would "disappear" in the celebration, make my guests feel comfortable so that the images were authentic and organic, providing insight and intuition to capture those obscure, intimate, special moments.
