Elan Is the Best!

Elan did hair and makeup for myself and my maid of honor for my intimate wedding in July 2020! We were initially planning a larger scale wedding but ended up postponing that larger wedding a year due to the pandemic. We then decided to keep our original July 2020 wedding date and also have an intimate wedding. While we had already booked a different makeup vendor for our larger scale wedding, we decided to use Elan for our smaller scale wedding.

I am so glad we chose Elan! Anita and Mayra are both exceptionally talented at hair and makeup. We both felt so beautiful. And while it was 100 degrees outside, our hair and makeup were impeccable the entire day. These ladies are also so friendly, and we had so much fun chatting with them while getting ready.

Please do not hesitate to book them. They will make the entire experience (from booking to the day of) so seamless, and you will look STUNNING. I truly regret not using them for my larger scale wedding for makeup.

Better than our first coice would have been

Not being local to Dallas we went with our first idea. After they bailed 3 mos from the wedding Elan was recommended. So thankful. Easy to work with, great service, fair pricing, wonderful suggestions.

Anita was recommended to me by a former bride of hers. I was planning my wedding remotely (live in Seattle) and she was able to accommodate doing the initial consultation over FaceTime. We used my hair and makeup trial for my bridal portraits. She was able to accommodate extra services within one month of my wedding date with ease. On my wedding date, Anita and her three assistants were prompt, cheerful, and professional. They easily finished hair and makeup for all 10 girls as scheduled, including any adjustments and touch ups. All the girls looked beautiful and our hair/makeup lasted through the day (which is saying something in Texas heat in June)!

I am a huge tomboy who wanted no part of hair & make up but Anita was fantastic! My hair looked exactly the way I wanted it to and my make up was nice but didn’t make me feel like I was wearing a lot!

Anita and her team are awesome! Anita was a pleasure to work with from the initial call I made to her. She is so sweet and gave me exactly what I wanted…even better than I had pictured it! She made me feel so comfortable at the trial run and didn’t make me feel bad about any changes I wanted to make. You can tell she loves what she does. Anita and one member from her team came on site for the wedding day where she did hair and makeup for my girls and me. Everyone looked STUNNING and was so happy with how they looked. Every bride wants to look perfect on their wedding day, and Anita made that a reality! I booked Elan Makeup Studio on a friend’s recommendation, and I hope you do the same based on my review!

Anita did such a fabulous job with my wedding! I am a very picky bride that loves makeup. Anita took her time learning how I like my makeup done and changing anything I wanted changed. My lashes were out of this world gorgeous!!

She also did an unbelievable job on my hair! I have very long thick hair, and Anita whipped all this hair into a perfect little updo full of texture and curls. My husband is still raving about how much he liked my hair, and my wedding pictures are proof of Anita's amazing work!

Anita and her team are incredible! They did hair and makeup for my daughter’s wedding last month, including the bride, MOB, MOG and 8 bridesmaids, and we could not have been more pleased! They totally exceeded our expectations and all of us felt confident and beautiful for the BIG day!

The bride-to-be and I did several hair trials prior to the wedding. Each time, Anita was patient and accommodating, despite us not knowing exactly what we wanted. She is very customer-focused and takes her time to fully understand your needs and consistently deliver a style you are completely happy with. She makes the sessions fun and relaxing and the hairstyles were gorgeous!

Mayra, her lead makeup artist, is also very talented. We absolutely loved the airbrush makeup she recommended. It looked fantastic on all of us and stayed on well even after hours of dancing.

The Elan team arrived to the venue fully prepared with everything we needed. There were plenty of stylists to get all of us beautified, on time and stress-free.

I highly recommend Elan for your wedding or any special event you have coming up. My daughter and I will definitely be back!

If you are looking for the best makeup artist and hairstylist for your wedding, look no further because you have found her. Anita Brown is the owner of Elan and she is the best in town. She offers many different packages as well as a la carte services all at reasonable rates to meet any budget. She was so accommodating and met every need of my daughter and her 12 brides maids, including myself and her new mother-in-law. Anita made this part of the planning and the actual wedding day stress free. It was so nice not having to worry whether everyone's makeup and hair would hold up in the July heat. She recommended airbrushing and applied enough product to keep everyone's hair in place. She brought in extra team members to make sure all the bridesmaids and the bride would all be ready on time. Anita and her team are the most talented in the area so book early because she really will make everyone in the wedding look their best.

Anita and her team were so much fun to work with! She did such an incredible job on my makeup for both my bridals and for the wedding day as well. She gave me exactly the look that I was going for. She is the sweetest and she will do everything she can to make sure that you look your best on the big day! Very professional and always easy to get a hold of. I highly recommend Anita! I was nervous about finding someone to do my hair and makeup for my wedding and engagement shoot because I am so particular when it comes to those things. Anita met all of my expectations in both the hair and makeup departments and made me feel absolutely gorgeous on my wedding day! I would highly recommend this vendor!!

Anita was great to work with - from my initial meeting with her, to my trial, to everything the week of, she was responsive and confident. She and her team did hair and makeup at her studio for me and 5 bridesmaids for the rehearsal and then hair at the hotel for me, 6 bridesmaids, my mom, and my fiance's mom for the wedding. I was very happy with how it all turned out. She and her team was on time, efficient, and the pricing is fair. I definitely recommend Anita and will use her again for future events.

Anita and her team were great! They were recommend to me by my planner at Divine Wedding Details. I had my makeup and hair done for my Engagement Photo Shoot, Wedding Day Trial and Wedding Day. It held up in the blazing Texas heat for outdoor engagement photos and all day for my wedding. Her team came to our hotel the day of the wedding for hair and makeup and all my girls loved them. Also, I was a bit last minute on making the hair and makeup decision and she was extremely responsive and very accommodating. Highly recommend the upgrade to airbrush makeup up!

Elan and her team were so great to work with. I was able to get my make up and hair done for our engagement photos and the day of the wedding. She also allowed me to come in prior to the wedding day and talk through how I wanted my hair and make up and we did a trail run to make sure all elements were on point. Day of the wedding, she brought in 4 more artist to help with all bridesmaids hair and make up and her team was so diligent and fun to be around. I highly recommend her for any events and hope I can use her in the near future.

I cannot say enough great things about Anita and her team at Elan Makeup Studios! They did all of my hair and makeup services throughout my wedding, including bridal photos and the day of! I had a large wedding party, and they were BEYOND efficient on the morning of the wedding! They did an absolutely beautiful job, and all of my ladies looked stunning! You cannot go wrong booking Anita and her team. She is very responsive from the minute you put in a request for information on availability to the wedding day itself. She made everything so easy for me, and I was so grateful for that! Do yourself a favor and book Elan Makeup Studios! You will absolutely not be disappointed!

Elan Make-up studios is AMAZING (Anita has the most magical hand - my husband does not like a ton of makeup whereas I do and she was able to make me look flawless! My Husband was SOO excited!) Anita did my hair / make-up for my bridals, boudoir, and wedding day and my only regret was not finding her in time to use her for my engagement photos as well! I am already looking forward to using her for all of our family photos and all events in the future! The whole team was super friendly and amazing (they did my bridal parties hair and make-up - all 10 of them plus grandmas and moms!) LOVED! Definitely one of my favorite wedding vendors!

Anita did a wonderful job of making sure I looked and felt like a beautiful bride. During our consultation, she asked all the right questions to learn my style and what I was hoping for. She did my full hair and make up for both my bridal portraits and the wedding. She exceeded my expectations throughout the entire process. She took such great care of me and my bridesmaids. Anita and her crew were fantastic to work with and reasonably priced for the services provided. Anita is super down-to-earth and fun to talk to. As the bride, I got airbrush makeup, which looked great in the photos. My girls had normal makeup, and it lasted the evening as well.

Anita and her team were awesome! She is so professional and really was so timely when arriving at our venue on the wedding day. Prior to the day, she was so pleasant to work with and really followed my vision for two hairstyles that I wanted and a very natural yet glamorous look for my wedding. Anita and her team were INCREDIBLE. I felt like a million dollars on my day and so did my wedding party. Everyone on her team is so professional and good at what they do. There was no question asked that I would use Anita with Elan Makeup Studio for my wedding! She is the best in the industry, I love her work so I knew she would do the perfect job! I was having a hard time at first knowing what I wanted, I would send her pics and ask for her opinion and one thing I love about her is she is honest! She knew my style of wedding and my personality and one day sent me an inspirational picture for my hair, and there it was the perfect idea! No questions asked that's what I wanted! My hair is something people still are talking about, it was beyond FABULOUS! Thank you Anita for all your work, you made it so easy and not a worry at all! Love you lady!

I booked Anita after an off experience with the salon team I originally planned to use for my wedding. The first time I met with Anita, I explained my story and she was completely on board and confident that she could deliver the hairstyle I had wanted. I ended up doing a trial run with her before I booked her for my date because I'd had the previous bad experience. Her curls were amazing and lasted at least eight hours. I quickly booked her for my wedding, as well as my engagement portraits and bridal portraits. Anita is absolutely wonderful and such a sweet gal. I loved my time spent with her. My makeup and hair looked flawless for all of three of my events. Anita and her assistants, Mayra and Melissa, provided our wedding day services for a total of seven people. They were fantastic. I got many compliments on my hair and makeup throughout the night and my wedding party loved their looks!

Working with Anita was truly such a gift. I changed my mind on bridal looks a few times, and each time, she delivered exactly what I asked for. Her agency is professional, timely, friendly and they absolutely glammed up my bridesmaids and I on my wedding day. We had a blast. Anita is the best! She made me feel so beautiful for my bridal portraits and my wedding day and truly listened to what I was envisioning. It's so important to feel good about the way you look on your big day, and she did a flawless job! My husband couldn't stop telling me how beautiful I looked and that was a great feeling. The rest of the Elan team was very professional, timely, and friendly. They did hair/makeup for my 7 bridesmaids, flower girl and my mom and everyone looked great! Also, Anita made custom extensions for me and they matched my hair PERFECTLY. She rushed to get them done a little earlier so that I would be able to wear them during my bachelorette party and it was so sweet of her. She is the type of professional who goes above and beyond for her clients! I would absolutely recommend Anita/Elan Makeup Studio.

Was so Lucky to get Anita. She was such a big part in helping my wedding run smoothly. She helped by making a schedule for us the day of. Not only did she make me feel beautiful but my mother, grandmother, and all bridesmaids. I did the air brush make up & LOVED IT! I bought extensions from her & she made my hair so full & it matched perfectly, like it was my own. She is very professional but one of those that is not too professional as in they are there to do a job & leave, she was excited to be there celebrating with me on my big day! Highly recommend her & her team!

Anita is wonderful to work with. She is easy to get a hold of, flexible, friendly, and absolutely incredible at what she does! She prepared me for my bridal portraits this past Saturday, and once we were done with hair and make-up, I looked better than I ever could've imagined! If I could give Anita and Elan Studio 100 stars, I would. I HIGHLY recommend this salon to anyone in the DFW metroplex who is getting married or needs hair and makeup done for a special event!

Anita is so amazing to work with and did my wedding hair & makeup trial run recently. I was totally blown away by the fabulous job she did on my hair and makeup. She also went above and beyond by offering to do the trial run before a holiday couples shower party on a Sunday! Anita gets to know each of her clients and tailors the look perfectly to exactly what you want and feel comfortable with. I can't wait for Anita to do my hair and makeup on my wedding day and she definitely has me as a customer for life!

Anita Brown from Elan Makeup Studios did my hair and make-up for me and my fiance's engagement pictures and I could not have been happier with the results!! I initially had a consultation with Anita where I showed her pictures of hair and makeup that I liked (and didn't like) and she asked a series of questions to get a thorough understanding of the look I was going for. Anita was SO sweet, professional and fun to work with and I left the consultation completely confident that she knew the style I wanted for my pictures. When I came in on the day of the engagement pics to have my hair and make-up done Anita and I briefly discussed again how I wanted everything to look and then she got to work. The final turn out of my hair and makeup was FLAWLESS; I absolutely loved how everything looked. I have never felt so beautiful and I can't thank Anita enough for doing such a perfect job. If you're looking for a make-up artist and hair stylist that's intuitive and truly listens to what you want then you should definitely book with Anita! I recently used Anita and Elan Makeup for my wedding and bridal portraits. Both experiences were pleasant, as Anita and her team are very fun to work with and use their time efficiently. My hair and makeup were perfect for both my portraits and the whole wedding day! Even my bridesmaids hair and makeup looked amazing- one bridesmaid said her hair doesn't curl, but with the magic of Elan Makeup, the curl lasted the whole night!! I would highly recommend Elan Makeup Studio and will use them again whenever I need to get my hair and makeup done for a special occassion.

Anita at Elan is so sweet! I showed her pictures of what I was thinking and she put her own little twist on it. My hair and makeup were flawless. Everyone commented on how pretty my hair looked and how well it held up through the night with all the wind. And the makeup held up through all the tears!
Anita's team made my bridesmaids and mother look so beautiful, they are all so talented. I didn't have one girl complain that they didn't like either their hair or makeup. They were on time and really quick. We all were able to relax and enjoy the time and had plenty of time afterwards to prepare for the ceremony. Everyone looked stunning!
I definitely recommend using Elan for your special events!

Anita did my hair and makeup for my wedding. I got so many compliments and it looked fantastic. She had great recommendations for other beauty things so I really felt like I was talking to my sister. She is very easy to talk to when you are sitting in her chair. Actually easier than any other hair stylist I have been to. Too bad she doesn't cut hair! I thought the makeup was a little too strong when I left but by the time my wedding started I had cried a bunch of happy tears and the eye makeup remained perfect and the face makeup blended in better. She would have fixed it for me there but I thought I would wait until closer to start time to see how the makeup turned out.
I would go back to her for any service she offers. She was affordable and flexible. Don't be surprised by the suite she works out of. It is not traditional but that doesn't make it a bad thing.

Anita and her team were fabulous! The same Sr. Artist (Mayra) was assigned to me for my engagement photos, bridal photos, and wedding day (make-up) and Belinda, who did my hair. The two were a great team together, and were able to look at examples I had brought and replicate a similar style which was still unique. Throughout the whole planning process Anita responded quickly to e-mails, and had an organized schedule for the bridal party hair and make-up the day of. Everyone arrived on time, finsihed on time, and were very professional throughout the process. I highly recommend Anita and her team!

Anita Haar at Elan Makeup Studio provided incredible service on our wedding day! I loved the way my hair and makeup turned out and was so thankful for her calming and enthusiastic presence throughout the process. My mother looked breathtaking as well; the prettiest I've ever seen her. Also, Anita went above and beyond to serve us by coming back to the church for extra touch-ups. It was very much appreciated and showed her dedication to her clients. I recommend her to any and every bride!

From the very beginning of the process with Anita, I was impressed. She was confident, quick with emails/calls, and totally professional when it came to my day. She was easy to talk to and made me feel confident. The biggest attribute of Elan, is the fact that Anita has a large and experienced team to work with her. I knew my hair and make-up would be amazing, but I was so impressed with the quality of my girl's hair and make-up. They completed a total of 8 hair styles and make-up, quickly, beautifully and with out any stress! we were even ahead of time! Anita and her team did an amazing job with me an my girls. I would happily book her again for any of my hair and make-up needs!

Anita did my daughter's hair and makeup as well as my makeup and we LOVED her!! My daughter looked stunningly beautiful and Anita did magic on me! Anita is the best! I was lucky enough to have her do my hair and makeup for my bridal portraits and wedding day. She always made both my mom and I feel extremely comfortable and does some amazing work! She takes notes on what you like and don't like during the trial and really delivers her best work. Her team joined us on my wedding day to help take care of the bridesmaids, and I couldn't be happier with how their hair and make up turned out. Anita is truly an amazing person and talented hair and make up artist. You cannot go wrong with Anita and the Elan team!!

One artist arrived super early to get started on all of my bridesmaids, which we all loved. It allowed for a very easygoing day. The senior stylist arrived a few minutes late, but our timeline allowed a little cushion, so it didn't affect the day.
They were all very easy to get along with and a pleasure to work with! Would definitely recommend!

Bridal portrait day experience with the senior make up artist was definitely rated a 5 - results were amazing - That day, we asked if she could do our wedding day. She advised that she was booked but told us that she would send the makeup artist who would in fact be doing HER wedding makeup. Wedding day arrived & the makeup artist arrived about 40 minutes late - she had to do hair for 3 bridesmaids & 1 flower girl and make up and hair for the bride. Needless to say time got away quickly which caused us to be late to the venue, leaving our nerves a little frazzled. We were slightly misled also due to the fact that she did not send the person she had told us. Results on wedding day were OK but the time crunch did not work to our advantage. Actually two girls should have been sent since they were running behind.

I was a bridesmaid for my brother's wedding this past weekend. Throughout the afternoon, my makeup kept having very noticeable (but easily fixable) problems, such as lack of blending in a lot of areas and eye liner smudges here and there. I kindly asked them to fix certain areas several times on my face, and Riley and Anita were incredibly impatient and rude. Getting ready before the wedding should be an enjoyable and fun experience. If something like this goes wrong, they should be professional, kind and be willing to fix it such an easy and simple fix... Riley and Anita were so unkind, and I'm never going to hire them do my makeup for my wedding.
