Nation was incredible

Elan Artists was wonderful to work with for our wedding. The string trio for the ceremony, instrumental duo for cocktail hour, and band for the reception were all wonderful. Nation was quite literally unbelievable - they’re so talented! The music was great and their energy really set the tone for the evening. We are still receiving compliments about how awesome they were. Thank you, Nation!!

Incredible!

We booked Blue Rhythm and cannot say enough great things about them!! We heard from multiple guests that they were the best wedding band ever. Incredible energy, talented musicians, professional and easy to work worth. Highly recommend!!

Fantastic!

We booked The District from Elan Artists for our wedding even before they had a big show. As the groom, the music/band was my main concern and they rocked it. Our dance floor was packed from start to finish. We even asked them to perform our first dance with a twist to the original and now we like their version better! Couldn't recommend them more.

An amazing 4 String Quartert!

For our wedding, we selected a four string quartet that sounded amazing. We were able to select pieces from a large "song book" that not only included classical music, but modern pieces. We went with modern, but the one song I wanted was vetoed by the wife: Game of Thrones Red Wedding.

I've never heard more compliments on a wedding band

Oh my gosh was Ground Control AMAZING. I don't think there was one person at the wedding who wasn't up and dancing for the majority of the evening. Ground Control has incredible range, killing every song from Pop to Rap to R&B to Rock to Oldies and everything in between. They were incredibly professional and their manager was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the planning process.

Sounds House: The Best Wedding Band I've ever seen!!!

I know I am biased because it was my own wedding but let me just say every single guest echoed my same sentiments when I say that Sound House was hands-down the best, most amazing, most professional, most talented and most FUN wedding band I have ever witnessed. The dance floor was packed the entire night and they surpassed all of my expectations. Everyone said they felt they were at a concert and could not stop raving about them. Gretchen & Luis were an absolute pleasure to work with- they listened to all of my requests and made all of my dreams come true. They are one of the main reasons I wish I could do that magical night all over again. I really hope one day I get to see them perform again!! THE BEST.

Nation was amazing!!!! Working with Karla (bandleader) and Gretchen (group coordinator) was a completely seamless process. I loved all their recommendations. First dance songs and special requests were executed perfectly. The kept the party going all night long and played the best music. Someone said throughout the night that they were in awe over the age range of people on the dance floor. It was truly super special. I can’t wait to attend another Nation wedding one day as a guest. Love you guys!!

NATION was UNBELIEVABLE!!! We are still hearing from people about how amazing they were and they sure kept the dance floor packed all night long. We were truly so lucky to find them! Gretchen was fabulous when it came to the booking and was a huge help when it came to song selection for our ceremony. Since we didn't get to hear Nation before we booked (just saw videos on YouTube), we opted to attend a showcase night at Elan's studio in Rockville. At the showcase, we were able to hear Nation live, meet band members, and chat with the band leader, Carla (who is sensational!). All I can say is that we left the showcase with stars in our eyes and knew that they were going to nail it at our wedding. If you are looking for a high energy and incredibly talented band, Nation is definitely the one to go with!

We used Elan Artists to booked our band, The Source, for our wedding. The band was absolutely amazing!
People are still talking about how great they were and many have said it was the best band they've ever heard at a wedding! People were on the dance floor the entire night and the song selection was perfect. We had such a good time and couldn't have been happier. Gretchen from Elan Artists was so easy to work with and helped us coordinate everything so it was just perfect. Couldn't have been happier with our selection!

Working with Elan Artists, specifically, the band Nation, was an amazing choice for our wedding. We were hosting a brunch wedding and weren't interested in a Saturday night dance party. The combinations of music that Gretchen put together for us were perfect. We were able to have three different experiences: the ceremony, cocktails and the reception, mixing and matching the band members in different ways.

Working with Gretchen and Karla was easy, flexible and enjoyable. They were open to learning new songs and really pulled out all of the stops when we asked if they would learn and accompany my father-in-law (a pianist) to play our first dance. It was incredibly special for us and our guests. After the first dance, they read the room and provided exactly what our guests wanted to hear. We loved working with Nation and would recommend them without hesitation for an event!

Also, Luke is a true highlight! I had seen him play another event before and was eager to figure out a way to include him in our day. How lucky were we to get him as part of Nation and highlight him throughout the cocktail hour.

I had a fantastic experience with the Source! So much fun, music was incredible and they truly knew how to play to the crowd. We also had DJ Chris who was amazing. I really can't say enough fantastic things about our experience with Elan Artists, our band Nation and our booking contact Gretchen! Their open communication and professionalism was invaluable! We booked our band, The Elements, through Elan Artists. Kerry, the band leader, was absolutely wonderful to work with during the planning process. She was very responsive and so enthusiastic. S many of our guests said that The Elements were the best wedding band they'd ever heard (and we may be biased, but we think they're right!). The dinner portion of our reception was in a smaller room so the band played in the hallway outside. They were so good that multiple people thought that we were playing recordings because they sounded just like the actual artists. During the dancing portion of the evening, various members of the band would come off the "stage" into the audience. They had such great energy, even though we had a smaller wedding. Elan Artists was also easy to work with. We had a minor hiccup or two during the planning process (mostly due to the weird band configurations we needed during various parts of the reception), but they were all fixed quickly. The Elements were absolutely fantastic and we cannot recommend them enough!!

The string trio that played at my wedding was wonderful! My only complaint was that I didn't get to hear them play the whole time because I was getting married! My contact was Gretchen and she was always very responsive and easy to work with.

We chose the band Sound House through Elan Artists for our wedding and we were just completely blown away. After seeing their video on the website our choice was easy, they are extremely talented. Luis was so easy to work with and they really helped to make our wedding night perfect! People are still talking about how amazing the band was! My husband and I both felt the music makes the wedding and so we were so grateful that our choice performed so perfectly! They were even able to perform our first dance song, which was not on their list, so perfectly! YAY! Thank you Sound House and Elan Artists!!!

Nation rocked our daughters wedding. Our guests haven't stopped talking about how fabulous they were. The band makes the party and they really did. I said goodbye to two of our guest who were planing. On leaving about half an hour before the event ended and then I saw them five minutes later on the dance floor. The band was too good and they didn't want to leave.

The BEST DECISION I made for our wedding was hiring Jazz Boutique with Michael Cartwright. They made the wedding! They knew how to read the crowd, played the best music, looked great, and overall just set the perfect tone for the evening. All anyone could talk about the day after the wedding was the band. I even had friends that didn't attend the wedding, ask me who played, as they heard they were amazing. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

We used Elan Artists and booked our DJ through them and could not have been more satisfied! They were truly accommodating and provided quick responses! The DJ was phenomenal and so professional! We chose Sound House for our wedding. This was after visiting and listening to many bands. Our daughter is very knowledgeable about music and bands and we all fell in love with Sound House. Elan organized everything very well. We also hired a harpist from Elan for our rehearsal dinner the night before. Everyone was punctual, responsible and responsive. Best of all, Sound House made the wedding. Not a person of approximately 200 people, were sitting! They get the crowd up and they don't stop! Compliments of the band came in as people were dancing until 1 in the morning! We highly recommend Sound House!

Chris Styles is absolutely fantastic! He was extremely professional and competent plus he added a great personal touch and passion to all he did (and he did it well). Through his extra effort to meet with my daughter and her future husband, he was able to gain a very detailed understanding of their likes and dislikes. In addition to his great planning he was very flexible when we wanted to adjust things. He did everything that we could have hoped for and then some. A true professional in every way and contributed significantly to causing my daughter's dream wedding to come true (i.e. become a reality). This review is more for our band, Nation, than Elan Artists (who were wonderful to work with, don't get me wrong). But this band - wow. The number one thing people comment on about our wedding is our band. They were, in a word, AMAZING - the song choices were on point, their energy was off the charts, and they were singing for almost the entire reception (even during dinner - no recorded CD tracks here). I would recommend them time and again - our dance floor was packed the entire night!

Where do I begin?! This is the BEST band you can ever dream of!

We booked Rhythm Collective (led by Daniel from Elan Artists) before we booked our venue! We actually saw them at a friends wedding a few years ago and knew we would use them even before we were engaged! They had great energy, sounded awesome, and had a great song list.

When we searched for bands luckily they were available for our wedding date and things were set in motion. Daniel is great at reading the crowd and we opted for non stop play which is worth the price for this group of talented musicians and singers! Not only did they learn songs and stuck to our play/don't play list, they were even gracious enough to allow my father to to play with his own band up on stage as a surprise for my husband and I.

Wow so magical! We all just had a fantastic dance party. Highly recommend this group and Daniel is a pleasure to work with, give them a call because they book fast!

If wish I could give Sound House more than 5 stars because that doesn't cut it! I couldn't possibly give a glowing enough review to do these guys justice. Will start by saying what absolutely lovely people they are. They are kind, professional, responsive, and throughout the stressful process of planning a wedding, they leave you no cause for concern. And for folks like us, to whom music is probably the most important element of the day, that's a huge deal!

My husband and I are so music particular (we actually met at a music festival) that we saw Sound House three times before booking them - but we realized it wasn't because we weren't sure about how fantastic they are, it was because we had so much fun seeing them that we felt like we were at a concert, not vetting "wedding bands" - we did not want to hire anyone near that stereotype!

Their performance the night of our wedding was perfection. Their song list is extensive, but we also had them learn a few songs for us, including our first dance, which they knocked out of the park - it was stunning. One of my only "regrets" of the night was not talking with everyone, but it is only because once the dance set started, I legitimately did not leave the dance floor. They were an enormous part of this wedding being an epic success. I can't tell you how many guests pulled me aside (and are still talking about) how impressive they are, and that they're the best band they'd ever heard at a wedding. Even "music snob" friends of ours were blown away. They played the ENTIRE time, which many bands will not do. We opted for chill, slower music during dinner, and then the dance party. Their talent is matched only by their incredible charisma - you can't not smile or dance when they're on.

Love these guys and wish them luck, success, and as much happiness as they gave my family, friends, husband and I on our wedding day!

It is difficult to express in words how over the top happy we were with The Elements, but will do my best. Our wedding planner recommended Elan Artists as a quality company to work with for wedding bands. While we had explored and listened to a number of other bands, we attended a showcase for Elan and knew right then and there that the Elements were the band for us. Our primary focus was on amazing food and wine (we got married at Blue Hill at Stone Barns) and a phenomenal band (and achieved that with The Elements).

About 2 months before our August wedding, my husband and I had a few phone conversations and email exchanges with Kerry to iron our must play, do not play, and requests for any songs not listed in their repertoire. We felt very confident going into the big day. And what a success it was – the Elements far exceeded our already high expectations. Their amazing renditions of everything from Sinatra to U2 to James Brown to Queen to Jay Z to Mackelmore kept our entire 80 person wedding on the dance floor all night! The band was so fun, so engaging, interacted with the crowd and really knew how to keep the party going. They also completely surprised us with one of the songs we requested at the very last minute. That evening, the next day and for weeks to come, my husband and I, our families and friends, could not stop talking about the band and how they made the wedding. (We want to become groupies!!!) One guest commented “I don’t know if I was at a wedding, a Michelin star dinner, or a really great concert! It was all three!!!” And that’s how we felt. Thank you to The Elements for making our day so incredibly fun and special.

I hired Elan Artists for my wedding in July. I hired a belly dancer who was nothing short of AMAZING!!! Everyone at my wedding raved about how wonderful she was. Very professional, showed up early, performed wonderfully and was very personable. Coming from a Middle Eastern background I was very picky about hiring a belly dancer, but Leyla came and put on a fantastic show!!!! Highly recommend. Also, Gretchen at Elan Artists was great to work with for booking, etc.

Ground Control was absolutely amazing!!! No one wanted the night to end because we were all having so much fun dancing! They were energetic, played a great variety, and had no problem playing specific songs we requested! We would not hesitate to spend the money and use them again!

This review is just about the Elements, the band we contracted with via Elan (our planners handled the communications with Elan, so I can't comment on that piece). The Elements were AMAZING. I was specifically looking for a band that would play both music I enjoy (what some would call eclectic and indie) and my older relatives would also like. The Elements did it all -- they had the party jumping, played songs from every genre you can think of, and learned several special request songs that were executed perfectly. All of my friends were amazed and we were dancing up until the very end. Bravo! I want to have another party just so I can hear the Elements play again.

We just got married a month ago and couldn't have asked for a better band! We saw Eric Nicolas and onelove play at a showcase back in June we loved them! We had an instant connection with Eric the band leader and he explained the whole process for us and made us very comfortable with our decision. For months we were on the phone with him asking our millions of questions. He was always so helpful and even made sure we spoke Thanksgiving weekend while he was away with family. On the wedding day we could not have been happier with our choice of band. Our guests were dancing all night and we really loved the mix of pop and of course classic rock! After and even during the wedding people kept asking for the band info and asked how we found them! The end of the night the sax player came down to the dancefloor and did the shout with all of us! It was so much fun and we can't wait to see this on our wedding video! It's a memory we will never forget! They learned about 5 new songs for us and played everything we had on our "list"

My spouse and I got married at West Point last year. We knew it would be a difficult wedding to plan, since we decided to have a 1940's-themed wedding complete with a big band. Our plan was to hire a band that could start playing music from the 1940's, and then transition forward by decade all the way to popular hits from this year. Believe me, not many groups can do this.
Weddings are complicated events, and the band leader has a critical role. Not just for delivering amazing music, but also as the master of ceremonies for the reception. I did an Internet search for wedding bands in NYC, and made a list with over 80 bands on it. I listened to sample songs and narrowed the list. I personally interviewed band leaders.
From the moment I first spoke with Eric Nicolas, I knew my guests would love him. He has a fantastic personality that comes across whether he is playing music or speaking to the audience. He listened carefully as I described our vision for the reception, and then he filled in every gap that I hadn't thought of. He made incredibly helpful suggestions when I wasn't certain. We planned the entire wedding in two phone calls and a handful of emails. He worked with me on the budget and we were able to afford a 12-piece band.
On the wedding day, Eric Nicolas and One Love were amazing. They setup on their own by working directly with the reception hall coordinator. We had nothing to worry about. Eric Nicolas and One Love made the extra effort and dressed in 1940's attire just for us! They looked great. My guests loved the music so much, they stormed the dance floor early, and we had to serve dinner an hour late because they weren't in their seats!
If you want the most amazing wedding band in New York, and if you want your wedding to be wonderful, I strongly recommend that you hire Eric Nicolas and One Love. If you want your guests to stay on the dance floor all night, call Eric Nicolas and One Love.

Elan Artists were awesome! The Classic Trio was so elegant and my guests love it for my wedding. Gretch was just great. She helped me through the process of choosing my classical songs step by step. She was extremely responsive and catered to my needs. Her assistant Andrew was responsive and great as well. They both were just on point and very professional. I really wish I would have gotten my DJ from Elan Artists as well. I am overall extremely satisfied with my experience!!! Thank you!

THE SOURCE. This band made the wedding! Eli, the point man, chatted with us multiple times over the phone and email prior to the event about the details. This took time for him to do, and isn't on his contract! Every single guest, young, old, an din between eerie dancing and coming up to us ALL night about ow ridiculous our band was! I just kept saying, I know, we booked them before we booked our church! They even changed the words to one of the songs, to words my mom wrote for us, how nice!

Ellan artists weren't quite as easy to work with as Eli and The Source was. Once we booked them, they bent us a copy of the contract, which was missing an extra horn we added to the original contract. Also after booking them, it wasn't as easy to get a hold of someone as it was before we signed the contract. And, there were multiple people contacting us. I wish there had been one person assigned to our contract because with all th either vendors you are dealing with, it was hard to keep of multiple people from the same vendor.

This being said, once elan artists gave us Eli, and The Sources, contact info, we were set to go because Eli and the Source was very prompt, responsive, and consistent!

The Hudson Project played at our August 2012 wedding and were far and away the best part of our wedding (as was confirmed by every single guest). We knew they were amazing when we saw them at the studio but we can't even put into words how wonderful they were on our wedding night. From oldies to the Beatles (played throughout dinner as we requested for my mom) to top 40 and rap, everything sounds like you are listening to a CD and the energy they bring to the room is incredible. Everyone commented to us how much they loved the band and our guests were dancing all night. Andrea was wonderful to work with throughout the process and remembered every single request (even playing Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary to our grandmother and parents, events we hadn't even mentioned). We wish we could be invited to another wedding they were playing just to see them perform again. Thank you, Andrea and team!

I can't say enough amazing things about Elan Artists. Our band, Eric Nicolas & One Love, went above and beyond any and all expectations we had. Every one of our guests commented on how special the band was. I think the question I heard most throughout the night was: this band is amazing, where did you find them?

One of the reasons this band is set apart from typical wedding bands is that they are willing to learn any type of music to cater to the bride and groom. My husband is a huge Phish fan and they learned two different Phish songs for him. It was his dream to dance to Phish at our wedding and they made it come true. Additionally, we sent them a list of songs that we enjoy to provide insight into our music tastes and they turned that list into a setlist. Every time they began a new song we would look at each other with wide eyes and disbelief that they were playing yet another one of our favorite songs. They even obliged several requests from our guests - including a polka dance!

They really made our wedding so special. The band was fun, lively, and our guests fed off their energy. Choosing Eric Nicolas was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.

We had Carte Blanche play at our wedding and there are no words to describe how perfect they were! We danced all night to a mix of 1920s jazz, Latin, and French music. They are the whole package! They first of all look period which fit perfectly into our 1920s theatre venue. Secondly, they are all so talented! The band leader Kate was lovely and their lead singer has the most unbelievable voice! It was also so easy and lovely to work with Gretchen at Elan Artists. We booked Rhythm Collective though Elan Artists for our wedding and I cannot say enough good things about them. If you are looking for a wedding band, YOU MUST BOOK THEM.

We saw them in a showcase in NYC and were very impressed. We booked them almost immediately for the reception and ceremony/cocktail hour music but that showcase is only a taste of what they can do at an actual wedding.

We dealt with Gretchen for the ceremony who guided me through some choices to make it unique. It was a very easy process. The band leader Daniel was terrific with planning the reception. As we approached the date, we had several phone calls about what we liked and didn't want to hear and the flow of the evening. They learned some new songs for our first dance and our father/daughter and we really felt like they were giving us what we wanted. Our last call was about a week before the wedding and I felt like he knew exactly what we wanted.

The pianist and guitarist from the band that played the ceremony and cocktail hour were terrific. They set the perfect tone to both parts. Before the reception started, people were coming up to us before we were introduced telling us how great the band was. At that point they were just playing background music. Once the introductions and first dance (learned and performed beautifully) were done and the dance floor opened up, that's when they really got going. They were supposed to take a break during the salads and it didn't happen because our guests wouldn’t stop dancing. There are so many people on the dance floor that they had to move tables back. At no point did it even occur to me to “request” a song because they read the crowd perfectly and played one amazing song after another. People would not stop coming up to me and telling me how great the band was and asking where I found them. It was ridiculous.

With two male and two female vocalists, they played so many different types of music: standards, hip-hop, lounge, oldies, 80's, 90's and TONS of current stuff too. I was concerned that they wouldn't be able to do any of the hot songs that came out during the summer. Couldn’t have been more wrong. They blew us and everyone there away.

Rhythm Collective are great performers and I can’t rave enough about how special and fun they made our wedding.

Nation performed at our wedding party and they. were. AH.MAZ.ING. everyone LOVED them. our friends and family were dancing all night. they look good, sound amazing, are so fun and will play basically any song you want and so well--pop, jazz standards, old soul, reggae, whatever. Even though I wish they'd been less expensive they were worth every freaking penny. HIRE THEM. seriously.

The Source was awesome! Our guests are still raving about how amazing they sounded! We had an extended dance set that had the dance floor completely full for 2 hours! Plus, they knew all of the Jewish music we needed for the Hora and Mezinka. We couldn't have been happier with them!

The Source Band (who I booked through Elan Artists) was awesome: http://www.elanartists.com/source_site/source.html They are talented - all the members of the band play instruments and sing - and had a great range of music capabilities. They kept the energy high and MCd the event well. My only criticism is that they did an instrumental horah that was way too long - it would have been better had they cut it shorter and learned the words.

I loved Nation!!! From start to finish they were wonderful. The band includes a great group of very talented musicians including 3 amazing singers who can sing anything from Frank Sinatra to Beyonce. The dance floor was packed all night and everyone kept saying how they sounded like the original singers of the songs that were sung!! Before the wedding, Josh (from Elan Artists) and Nicki (Band Leader) were very responsive and easy to work with. They made sure that everything went perfect for my wedding day music.

This is a huge company so I'm not sure how it's determined who you work with, but I worked with Gretchen and she was amazing. Every question I had she answered immediately (we usually 'spoke' via e-mail). She was helpful when I couldn't pick songs and a joy to work with. I couldn't hear the music that well for my ceremony but it was really windy which I think is what caused that.

Perfect musician for our ceremony! A classiscal guitarist! Open Eye Media was our videographer at our wedding and The Source was our band. They were both outstanding, and I would recommend them highly to anyone planning a wedding. The Source, in particular, was outstanding. Our dance floor was packed all night long, and I would hire them again.

We booked our ceremony musician and reception band through Elan Artists. I worked with Josh Friedman to book the band, then Gretchen Clements worked with me to hammer out the details for the musicians (ceremony song choices, etc.). They were both very responsive and easy to work with. Our ceremony musician (Ken Hall) played classical guitar for two hours, then joined with a bass guitar player and drummer to play light jazz for the reception for three hours. The music was just what I had hoped for, and even my musical family (grandpa, dad, sister, and both brothers are musicians) couldn't stop talking about how great the performance was. They helped set a relaxed, mellow mood for our event, and toward the end they even took some requests from my grandpa, who plays jazz at weddings himself. I would recommend Elan Artists, and would highly recommend Ken Hall in particular.

WOW WOW WOW. We cannot say enough good things about The Elements, the Elan Artists dance band that played our wedding reception. I'd already seen them at a showcase in NYC, so I knew what to expect, but the night-of performance still blew me and everyone else away. SO talented, SO energetic, SO fun. They took zero breaks (though they're in the contract!), and kept everyone on the dance floor all night long. We added two horns, which I also highly recommend (they add them into songs that don't ordinarily have horns, so you do get your money's worth!). Kerry, the band leader, was terrific to work with. The entire band, from the musicians to the singers, are just consummate professionals: they know how to put on a fabulous set. You don't need to wonder if they know how to order the songs, how to set the tone, etc.; they do. Yes, they are expensive -- but for perhaps the most memorable part of the wedding (for our guests!), it was worth every single penny.

Wow, were we in for a treat with our band! We booked Nation through Elan Artists, and I honestly can say I have never seen a better wedding band. They sounded incredible, read the crowd well, and kept everyone dancing until 12:30 a.m. This band is at the top of their game, and we continue to hear amazing feedback about how wonderful they were.

Karla, the band leader, was also great to work with. We had a number of special requests, and she didn't miss a beat on any of them.

I can't say this enough -- book Nation! They are really something special.

We selected Nation based on their video and were a little nervous since we hadn't heard them live. They were so much better in person than the video. The energy and vibe in the room was incredible. All of our guests commented on how spectacular they were. They were fabulous! They went above and beyond and then some. Everyone was dancing the night away and they truly made our wedding. We found Elan Artists on a New York Weddings (magazine) list and we knew we had to go with them when we were rocking out to the clips on their website.

We had Sound House based out of NY at our Chelsea Piers wedding and we could not have asked for more. The initial set up was easy and pleasant. Not the cheapest but we absolutely without a doubt got what we paid for. They listened to all of our song preferences and given that we hired them bc of their Latin repertoire, they Latin'ed it up for us!! All of our guests were amazed at their range and performance. They learned our first dance song to perfection even though it wasn't a very well known song. They were interactive with our guests the entire night. We could go on forever.

Our band was absolutely the highlight of the wedding and people will be talking about Sound House for years to come! Thank you!

The Source was amazing

We used The Source from Elan Artists as our band and they absolutely made our party! We really wanted a Motown funky vibe for the wedding, and they completely got what we were asking for and executed it perfectly. They had everyone up dancing the entire time and people are still talking about how great they were. Our first dance was to a unique song, but they played it perfectly based on just the one youtube video we sent them. They also played a VERY impressive cover of purple rain to close out the night. Gretchen and Eli (band-leader) were responsive throughout the process and very easy to work with. Would recommend both Elan and The Source specifially for any party!

We had Rhythm Collective perform at our wedding and they were absolutely amazing. First and foremost their renditions of the songs were flawless and kept everyone on their feet dancing. They also worked closely with us (the couple) and our families on special requests and executed them perfectly - I (the bride) sang a song with them, and they learned a special tarantella for the father-daughter dance. They also provided some lovely piano music during the cocktail hour. We used Elan Artists to book the Suit and Tie Band for our Bryant Park Grill wedding, and had a great experience. The band is amazing, fantastic, fabulous. The band manager - Tyrone (also the drummer), and his wife - are fun, responsive, and easy to work with. The band itself is incredibly talented - two female singers and two male singers that will blow you away. We used a solo guitarist during cocktail hour and a guitar and bass during dinner for background music, and they were fantastic. The full band kept our entire dance floor packed, and even learned a special request song for us. I can't recommend the Suit and Tie Band highly enough. Elan was also great to work with - Gabriela and Bianca were incredibly responsive, flexible, and patient. The customer service is excellent.

This review is for Nation. The band was excellent, fun, and flexible in their scheduling. They provided valuable information and best practices on scheduling events during the wedding reception. They took the time to go over set lists and new music and gave honest opinions on what would sound the best.

Luckily, they played at an event prior to our wedding and invited us to come see them and hear for ourselves - that was really helpful and definitely helped give us the confidence we were making the right choice.

Overall, definitely worth the extra money for such a high quality and professional band. We received a great number of compliments such as "they sound amazing", "awesome song choices", and "where did you find them".

We booked Rhythm Collective the morning after we saw them play at a showcase in NYC. They were so good, that my mom was screaming "book them now!!!!" They got everyone out on the dance floor immediately. The singer's personalities are infectious, not at all awkward (we found a lot of bands had at least one awkward performer), and fun to work with!! Singers and musicians are super talented and terrific performers, and the band is willing to learn any new song for you for special moments, and up to 5 other songs that you really love!

WE RECEIVED SO MANY COMPLIMENTS ON HOW AWESOME THEY WERE. A lot of our guests were also used to DJs, so they were blown away by a live band. I've always thought that a good band is miles better than a DJ, but a bad band is so much worse than a DJ. This is why we meticulously spent time searching for "great" bands, because the whole vibe of the party depends on it. Well, totally worth our time!!! The dance floor was packed the whole time!!! Which is seriously all we ever wanted. This band also has such an amazing variety of genres they can play, and while this sounds corny, they are just "cool," so they can pull of anything. (They are also relatively young, which helps with the "cool" factor.)

Some minor things are that 1) getting in touch with them via email was difficult at first, calling is much better!; 2) they played a handful of songs that were on our "do not play under any circumstance" list, so make sure to remind them of this list a couple days before; and 3) they played the wrong song for our cake cutting, so maybe go over major special moment songs right before as well. But other than me and my husband, no one would have ever noticed these things, and so everyone thought they were PERFECT.

We booked Eric Nicolas & One Love, and honestly believe we picked one of the best bands in NYC!

When we first attended one of their showcases, I immediately knew I wanted to book them (even though they were slightly out of our price range). Not only do they have a vast range of genres in music-- they sound 1st in class no matter what song they tackle. One of our biggest criteria's was to have a band that could do American pop music as well as latin/spanish songs (while sounding authentic). The band did an amazing job, and had my whole latin family out of their chairs & dancing the whole night. They were good about reading the crowd, and using the momentum to keep everyone dancing.

Months later, one of the consistent compliments I still receive about our wedding is the band. I always hear, "Your band was awesome"... and to be honest... they truly were!

We hired Nation Band through Elan artists and they were absolutely fantastic! The music was great- they really responded to the music we wanted to hear and had a lot of fun with us! The variety of music they can play is really amazing- I worried that a band wouldn't provide enough variety and that we might be better off with a DJ, but that was not the case! They played a lot of great music from a variety of genres- couldn't be happier! They complied with requests and included our list of 'must play' songs and played a lot of other great songs too. We worked with Josh at Elan early in our wedding planning, and benefited from that decision every step of the way. In the end, we booked our photographer, guitarist (ceremony), pianist (cocktail hour) and DJ services through him. The caliber of professionals he supplied were top-notch and uniformly great to work with. Most importantly for this review, the DJ services he personally delivered were just phenomenal! It's really impossible to overstate how important the music is in setting the right tone for the reception, and Josh's instincts were absolutely spot-on. Every step of the evening was simply perfect. We hadn't expected for there to be much, if any, dancing during our reception, but we couldn't have been more wrong! Everyone in attendance spent the majority of the evening drawn to that dance floor, grinning ear to ear, enjoying a flawless mix of just the right music for every moment. In the end, I'd even go so far as to say that today I'd count Josh among my friends - just a great guy to work with, and truly a master at what he does. Thank you Josh!

Elan artists was a dream to work with. We booked the UGO Orchestra for our reception and a string trio for our ceremony. We couldn't have been happier with the final result and our guests were raving about the band all night long. They are a bit pricey but I would say that they were worth every penny. You get what you pay for and Elan artists is top notch in service and quality.

We were so pleased with our harp and flute duo and the service leading up to the big day. Our music coordinator was so on the ball and made sure she had everything she needed. Great with follow ups and super friendly! The musicians really were first rate and everyone complimented us on how beautiful it was. Had everyone crying!

Overall amazing band, incredibly talented and the experience was perfect. My only qualm was with the price. You pay for all of this amazingness.

We recently had The Source play at our wedding reception and we were absolutely thrilled. Our guests are still talking about the music over a month later. They were FANTASTIC and it truly made our reception--everyone was on their feet dancing the whole time. The Source play a huge variety of songs and do everything so well we were impressed with the entire playlist and were so happy with our first dance. While communication with the band was a little less smooth than with some of my other vendors, everything worked out in the end and was finalized by our wedding day. We would 100% recommend The Source.

We chose to have Rhythm Collective play at our wedding. They are just one of the many bands that Elan Artists offers. We definitely chose right. Rhythm Collective was outstanding. We had people coming up to us all night asking where we found them, and saying that they were amazing and this was the best band they had ever seen at a wedding. They played anything and everything. The extensive list of songs was so great. We had everything from Sinatra to Britney Spears. They we definitely on top of the Top 40, and they just really enhanced the party. Everyone was up and dancing. Even my 81 year old grandmother! Daniel called us the week before the wedding and went through everything with us. The flow and schedule of the night, songs we really wanted to have, timing, and they even let my Uncle come up and play the piano with them for Run Around Sue. It was just amazing. All the band members got down on the dance floor and performed. They even handed the mic to the kids to sing along with them. It was just really unbelievable. During the planning process it did sometimes take Elan a while to respond to emails, but Michael would always call to follow up and make sure they had everything correct and provided exactly what we wanted. Michael did our music for our ceremony and cocktail hour, and set up the microphone for our Officiant. The timing on the music for the ceremony was phenomenal. It was even better than what I had imagined in my head. All in all, Elan Artists and Rhythm Collective are definitely the way to go if you want fantastic music and a real party for your reception.

We had Elan Artists in Maryland play at our outdoor ceremony - they did a great job and were easy to work with. We were a bit concerned because the music coordinator was on maternity leave part of the time, but there were no problems at all. They were okay with us giving them some specific sheet music and using theirs for others, as well as having one of our friends accompany them as a soloist.

I booked Nation though Elan Artists on the recommendation of a friend. I could not have been more pleased with the band. Our dance floor was packed the entire night-- the caterer had to ask the band to tell people to sit down to eat their entrees! We ended up extending the band and bar for an extra hour because the dancing was so much fun with this band. Only drawbacks-- the band manager was not very prompt in responding to my emails, including the week before the wedding. Also, they did not tell me until we arrived at the reception that they did not have a copy of our father-daughter dance song (which we agreed that they wouldn't play). Fortunately, the song was in my IPod, which I had in my room at the venue, so a bridesmaid was able to get it. Other than those two problems, the band was amazing, and everyone there has commented on how the band was one of the best wedding bands they have ever heard.

we used elan for our ceremony music and one of their photographers (who we booked independently before he knew he was affiliated with elan). this review is for the ceremony only.
honestly, this was probably the last thing we booked as it wasn't really critical for us to have live music at the ceremony but we did decide to hire a harpist and a violinist. overall, i think they did a good job. i didn't hear much as i was concentrating on getting married :) but from what i heard from the guests, it was a beautiful touch. about a week before the wedding, i had a call with gretchen from elan to decide my music selections. she was very helpful and even sang certain songs to me so i could tell what they sounded like. we were having a non-denominational ceremony but she did make many religious song suggestions...probably because many of them were popular. she was flexible in listening to my suggestions though. i only knocked them down a notch b/c i noticed in the photos that the harpist wore sunglasses the entire ceremony even though she was in a shaded area. no biggie.
i think it turned out very well. i did think they were a little pricey ($850 for 1 hour for 2 people) but unfortunately, it doesn't seem like you can get a bargain in that department.

I hired a solo guitarist through Elan Artists to do my ceremony and cocktail hour. He arrived on time and was very professional. My only complaint was when I started down the aisle, he didn't start playing the music immediately. He waited for me to start walking. My ceremony was outside and my guests could see me walking from further away than the 'typical' entrance so that meant I was walking to silence and only about 5 seconds of the song was actually played.

Other than that, the music was beautiful. I didn't hear the cocktail hour music because I was out getting pictures taken, but my guests said it was nice background music.

The event coordinators from Elan were very responsive and very organized. This was a very positive experience because I didn't have to worry about following up with them, they always reached out to me to confirm before I had a chance to do so.

Elan Artists provided The Source for my wedding on May 17, 2014 in Middleburg, VA. It was great that they had a preview show in New York so I was able to get a taste for them live instead of just reviewing videos online. Everyone at the wedding loved them. Great sound and energy. The dance floor was packed all night!
It was a little hard to get in touch with the band in the months and weeks before, but all of our requests were met to the T. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

We had the band Rhythm Collective at our wedding and they were fantastic! They really got all of our guests on the dance floor and it was fun how they would step off the stage and interact with guests on the dance floor. They have a huge range of music they can play so it was easy to work with them and select songs. They were also helpful in planning out the sequence of events at the rehearsal to make sure everything ran smoothly!

The Source wowed my sister and Fiance at a vendor event at the Four Seasons. They were very responsive over email. The crowd danced a lot and said they have a great time. Supposedly the main male singer wasn't the same as the one my sister and Fiance heard. Unfortunatley, he didn't know our first dance song at all. It sounded flat and mummbled, which was disappointing. They also ended 30 minutes earlier than we paid for. My understanding was there wasn't a break towards the end for the band, but I would have preferred that they took one and keep going. It didn't help the dance crowd dwindled down towards the end. But finally some Bon Jovi came on for the last song and everyone partied for that.

It's tough to write a review because we worked through Elan Artists management company and the band manager but the service provider was The Elements band. Elan Artists were good to work with. They were a tad impatient while we tried to figure out if a band could fit our budget. They also were not very proactive with reaching out (I sent an email with my "dont play" list and day-of schedule). The band manager was useless but we worked directly with Kerry the lead singer in the end.
Now for the fun part- the band! We went with solo keys for the ceremony, solo guitar for the cocktail hour and the 6-piece band for the reception (all from The Elements). They are fabulous!! They were by far the most talked about part of our wedding. We had a male and 2 female signers who should be on the radio. The keys player was also outstanding. The band played a great mix of slow dinner songs, Motown and contemporary. They will also learn a couple new songs if requested. We had a very non-traditional first dance song and they knocked it out of the park.
The music was such an important part of our night and we just had a blast dancing to The Elements. We have a few friends planning weddings and one wedding planner who are totally sold on them because are so fabulous!

There are really two reviews here I'd like to give -- One to Elan Artists and one to our Band (Eric Nicolas & One Love)

First -- The band completly blew our expectations. We had seen them in an EA showcase (definitely worth going to) so we knew they were amazingly talented -- but the dancefloor wasn't empty all night and they were able to accomodate all of our requests for our ceremony and reception. I'm biased of course, but they were 100% the highest quality wedding band I've ever seen (and we've been to a TON of weddings). You definitely pay for their quality but you can scale up or down the number of people you hire to fit your budget. (we did 10 people including 3 horns). I'll get compliments on them for years to come.

Second -- Elan Artists. We worked with both Daniel and Josh throughout our booking experience and I will say that Daniel was a great vendor to work with. He was always happy to help us and pleasent to talk to -- sometimes hard to get a hold of because they are busy and he's in a band himself -- but he always got back to us. Josh however, couldn't have annoyed my fiance (now husband) any more than he did -- to the point where I took over some of the conversations and just went directly to Daniel. I don't know if we always caught him on the wrong day or what, but he made us feel like we were bothering him and we'd have to stalk him to get any type of response from him. Not sure the deal there.

All in all, EA has high end artists who are happy to play for you and will kill it at your wedding. I'd use them again in the future.

I can barely remember even hearing any music during my ceremony, I was so out of it- but what I do remember, was good. I heard positive things from my guests about the brass quartet we picked. I was frustrated however with the process of picking songs- I was given a list of possible song titles, and every time I would take the names to the coordinator, she would say, "whoops, we don't have that for a brass quartet"....well, then give me songs you DO HAVE! I paid extra to have a special song arranged, which was pretty pricey as far as I was concerned.

They did a good job with our videos. We got a few different ones and we were happy with the outcome. It's important though to be specific to get exactly what you want.

Reason why I chose Elan - Open Eye Media was from their marketing video. However, please know that Elan subcontracts the work out to their listing of vendors. What they do is keep a finders fee which is the initial deposit that you send them when you sign up. My Videographer was Dave Morely. He works in the Baltimore/DC area. I haven't seen my video yet and I'm really looking forward to my final product.

Some cons are that since their main offices are in Brooklyn, the responsiveness is a tad bad. You have to work through multiple people to get an answer. And the person might be away on vacation. What you should expect is not communicated to you. At one point, since no one contacted me, I called them and requested the name and contact information of my videographer. They don't give you the info you need up front and you have to ask them or else I don't even know if someone would have contacted me to let me know.

My Videographer was Dave and he did his thing. He takes video and films the day. That's what I hired him to do. To film each and every detail. His assistant did the same as well. She was a bit more talkative and nice. This film then is sent to an editing group for the company (Open Eye Media) and I think I get the video in the mail??? No one has explaned this to me??? We shall see.... what happens.

I used Elan artists to book my band. They were easy to work with at first, until I received a call 2 weeks before my wedding to say my band had been double booked, which is horribly unprofessional and unlikely given the high level of this company. However, luckily, they provided me with an amazing band in the original ones place, and everyone LOVED the new band. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with Elan and their management, but their bands are still the BEST around and make a great party. All of the band leaders are incredibly easy to work with, and make the party.

We booked a String Trio for the Ceremony/Cocktail Hour - Cello, Flute, Violin. The Director was almost impossible to get in touch with from the beginning, which should have been my first warning sign. We waited until a month prior to the wedding to book our Ceremony Musicians so I had very few to choose from. They were 30 minutes late setting up for the ceremony, which ended up being Ok because were running behind due to the weather anyway, but that still rubbed me the wrong way. They did play beautifully, but I probably wouldn't use them again, due to the lack of quality customer service.

I used them for my wedding in VA- they are based out of Baltimore, MD. My classical guitarist was HORRIBLE! He played the wedding march for my entire bridal party, not just for me!! I even had my planner tell him (again) on the day what he was suppose to do. Don't use them.

I booked the band "UGO" through Elan Artists and the band was a disaster. The contact person was extremely unprofessional before and during the wedding. He was uncooperative, used profanity and was very intimidating to everyone who came in contact with him. The contract stated four hours of live music - we received maybe 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Listened to an iPod for dinner music but were told the band would be playing throughout dinner. Contacted Elan Artists but was disappointed in their response, had to call back repeatedly for any information concerning the band's behavior. I would not recommend the band or the booking agency to anyone.
