Highly Recommend

I had an amazing experience buying my dress here! My consultant did a great job helping me find my dream dress, but not pressuring me into buying that day (I made that choice myself). She did a great job taking what I liked and didn't like about each dress to pulling others for me to try leading to a dress I missed while looking I fell in love with. She helped pull a veil that completed the look for me as well and just brought my dress to the next level.

Having an onsite seamstress for alterations too was a huge plus. Maria is amazing and I trusted her through every step of that process. You wouldn't even be able to tell any alterations had been done and she helped teach my mom and maids of honor how to button, zip, and bustle the dress the week of the wedding.

We also got bridesmaid dresses from here and they worked so well with my girls from out of the area to get their measurements in and ordered still from Green Bay so colors were all the same. They also were great about me picking up the dresses and getting them to the girls as needed too.

Perfect bridesmaid dresses

I had my bridesmaids get their dresses from Elaine's. I was envisioning a very specific mauve color and they were great about helping me find what I was looking for. They even swapped the chiffon on the original dress for Tiffany chiffon which gave the dresses that sheen and perfected the color I was looking for. Highly recommend!

Worth the stop!

I have to admit I was hesitant to go to Elaine's as I had heard mixed reviews, but decided to go anyway and I'm so glad I did. Elaine's was my ONLY stop, and I found my dress for 75% off! The woman who helped me was very sweet and didn't try to sell me on a dress that was full price even though "my" dress was on sale. I loved how genuine the people were. Nothing but good things to say, beautiful selection! Would shop there again for a formal dress in the future.

Elaine's was my first and last stop on my search for the perfect dress. The staff were courteous and very helpful, making it a great experience for my wedding party who joined as well as a few family members (which yes, sounds overwhelming but they made it go smoothly!). I had my perfect dress moment in a great environment and I would recommend their store as they are both family owned and unique in their many dress choices!

A dream appointment for my dream dress!

The employees were great. I walked in without and appointment and was greeted with kindness. I was specifically looking for a black and white dress and we scoured the dresses for options that they had. We finally found one and it was beautiful.

Heard bad reviews about this place, but I absolutely loved them!! Way better than David's Bridal. Had a great experience and worked with 2 wonderful ladies! Definitely recommend!!

I had a champagne dress appointment in December. It was fabulous! We came in after the store had closed and there were snacks/champagne. I loved the selection provided and Tabitha was great with finding the style of dress I was looking for. We also selected our bridesmaid dresses there that night. We are planning on looking at tuxes here and hope the process goes just as smoothly!

I found what I thought was the perfect dress online and it guided me to the only bridal shop in Wisconsin that carried it, Elaine’s in Green Bay. Needless to say, I found an even more perfect dress, THE dress, with the help of Christine. She was exceptional! Being a plus sized bride, I was nervous about the dress shopping experience, but she pushed me to try on dresses I never in a million years would have thought looked good on me, and my final choice ended up being one of those dresses. Christine made the dress shopping experience enjoyable and memorable. For alterations, Maria did an outstanding job. She was very personable and made me feel even more beautiful in my wedding gown! She was very informational and helped teach my bridesmaids how to get me in and out of my dress, which made the wedding day a breeze!

I had been to Elaine's in Appleton a couple of times trying on dresses and trying to pick the best one. I was that bride. I tried on at least 50 dresses between 4 stores. I just couldn't decide. But from the get go I never felt rushed or treated badly the times i went to Elaine's. The manager came by to see how things were going both times and seemed very nice and helpful, never pushy or trying to hurry me up. So the amazing thing is yet to come. My second pick was from Elaine's but I decide I wanted a designer dress from a boutique which was way out of my price range. What do I do instead? I buy the dress used online. It was all legit. Except said dress didn't fit when it was time to go in for my fitting less than five weeks to my wedding. So I cried and was really sad and upset but promptly headed to David's Bridal. I got to David's Bridal and they couldn't fit me in for another two hours so I decided to go Elaine's to check out their dresses as well. From the moment I walked in the door and described my horror story (buying a new dress almost a month from the wedding, enough to make any bride sweat bullets), EVERY staff member was AMAZING! A consultant and the manager immediately started helping me pull dresses in my size to try on. So here was the weird thing. I had tried on over 50 dresses combined before (all varying sizes), and found 3 total that I really liked. I pulled 7 this go round from Elaine's and liked 5 out of the 7 immediately and really, really liked 3 of them a lot! After about 4 hours (I know crazy right!), the amazingly patient consultant and manager (I wish I could remember their names) had me out the door with a brand new wedding dress! You cannot describe my relief and happiness! The kicker: I ended up loving the second dress way more (and it was a completely different style) and it cost less than the used dress from online! I got so many compliments on it and my husband loved it so much! I just can't thank all the girls at Elaine's enough!

I just got my photos back from my wedding and was reminded of how much I LOVED my dress! My whole experience was amazing at Elaine's-from the first time I walked in to my final fitting. I was always made to feel special and taken care of. I was originally wow-ed by the huge selection of beautiful gowns and even though I went to several other stores, no one could beat their selection. I finally selected a gown that I would have NEVER tried on but my consultant was so great (she seemed to really get me) and pushed me a little bit out of my comfort zone, but I couldn't be happier!! My dress looks so amazing in my photos and I am so grateful to the staff at Elaine's for helping me make such great memories!

This review is for the Appleton location of Elaine's only. Had an absolutely wonderful experience shopping at Elaine's in Appleton for a prom dress with my daughter. Outstanding selection, attentive and helpful staff, and nice, newly constructed dressing rooms. Two high school girls assisted us (wish I had jotted down their names) they were very helpful, I did make mention of them to the front desk. I believe it was the store manager who checked us out (Mindy). She was so professional and friendly. The desk was busy, but she juggled everything and made sure everyone was taken care of. We did stop at the Green Bay store previously, but didn't care for it. We drove 1 1/2 hours to Appleton, it was worth it! Please do give the Appleton location a try. Just great!

I had heard some bad things about this place, but let me tell you, I had a 5 star experience here yesterday. My bridal consultant, Kristina, was great. Knew exactly what I wanted. Never made
Me feel self conscious. She let me try on dresses that didn't exactly fit me but were able to get on to get an idea of what they looked like. And she also picked out single handedly my dream dress. I would recommend Elaine's to anyone looking for a wonderful bridal experience. We were back where they keep the expensive dresses and basically got to have our own private room for trying them on. I had 5 other people with me and we all fit comfortably back there. It was a wonderful experience. I can't say enough good things about Kristina. I would recommend this place to my friends and family in a heart beat.

Absolutely the BEST! I would recommend Elaine's to anyone who would listen! A few bridesmaids and I picked out a style and the girls worked out really well for them to try on the dresses. We ordered the dresses and they were just outstanding with their customer service. I probably emailed four hundred questions about the dresses, the invoices, payment, the forms - you name it - and they were so amazing about emailing me back each time. They would email me ten times a day if I had that many questions! The ordering and pick up was so easy, too - it was just a hassle-free experience AND they are so nice on top of it!

My experience at Elaine's was overall pretty good. I made an appointment last May on a Saturday to try on dresses- we were probably there about 2 hours... everything went well, consultant was great. Later that day I went to David's and didn't like my consultant or the fact that they wouldn't make many changes to their dresses... then they kept calling me for months. I found a dress at Tie the Knot (that place was great too), but ended up buying from Elaine's because it was cheaper. My dress was to come in in 4-6 months, I think it got here in September so it was early. Tried it on to be sure everything was ok & then made an appointment for my first fitting for Feb. That was with Maria- she did a great job. Had my dress done in a week, had to make a little adjustment & that was ready in one day. The prices of the alterations were reasonable compared to others I have heard. Overall everyone there was nice, the selection was good, prices were fair. At times they do seem to be a little busy at the front desk or when you call- so they may need another person to help in that area, but no one was ever rude like other people have mentioned.

Great store. The have so many dresses, it's hard to decide on just one. The staff was very friendly even though they were very busy. I found the dress I wanted on a Saturday, but came back another day to order it, because they were so busy. I checked out a couple of other stores in the meantime, but nobody else had anywhere near the selection. Given how busy they were on Saturday, I figured this must be the best place to get a wedding gown

I got my dress and my bridesmaids dresses from Elaine's. The have the best prices by far. I went to every bridal store from Green Bay to Fond du lac and even to Chicago. I ended up finding the dress of my dreams in Chicago but Elaine's special ordered it for me and then my bridesmaids all received a discount on their dresses. Some consultants are better to work with then others, so find one you like. But they were very willing to help and patient with me, I probably tried on over 200 dresses before I found the one. They were the only ones who didn't get annoyed with me. Some bridal shops I went to the staff was rude and didn't even bother to help put dresses on or I had 5 different people in and out of my dressing room. Elaine's was helpful, patient, and respectful.

I walked into Elaine's after trying dresses on at 2 other shops and had some poor experiences. Elaine's really caters to their clients and really does want to find the best for them... They told me their honest opinions and set me in a direction of what kind of look I was wanting to go for.. They were so nice and very professional...

The dress I bought was from the Justin Alexander Collection-Everyone said my dress fit like a Glove and it truly did, I also bought a head piece and veil here that went so well together that really finished my look... :)

I found my perfect Bridesmaid dresses to fit 10 different sized bridesmaids perfectly with assistance at Elaine's bridal. I also ordered my dream wedding dress from them because they were able to beat the competitor! I felt very welcome upon arrival to their store, and I would recommend to a friend.

I also felt their seamstress was very knowledgable, and she was able to bustle my dress to perfection and once we bustled it I never had to adjust it the rest of the night!

Avoid prom season though, the areas near the side dressing rooms are a little crowded.

I had a great experience with Elaine's! My consultant was young and really relatable-- I felt very comfortable with her. I wasn't sure which direction I wanted to go with my dress, but after I was able to try on multiple dresses I ended up finding THE ONE!! The whole staff was friendly and helpful. My only compliant is the seating area for my family wasn't big enough since they had to share it with a few other brides' families as well

I got my dress from the Appleton location and had a great experience! I ended up shopping three times at the store, in order to bring my bridesmaids who couldn't come the first time.

The first time I went, my consultant wasn't extremely personable and I felt that I was taking up her time. It was my first time shopping and I had little idea what I wanted, so I thought she'd be understanding. However, the second time, my consultant was switched to Amanda. She is AMAZING! So understanding, especially for my analytical mind that never had a "that's the one!" moment. She listened to the things I liked about other dresses and thought of a dress that a little bit of all the elements.

I have yet to have my fitting, but my buying experience was so great with Amanda!

I had a wonderful experience with Elaine's. They have an unbelievable selection to choose from and the prices were good. My first visit was on a Saturday and the place was like a zoo. I tried on dresses for about 2 hours and then came back a week later to order my dress. I also liked that my bridesmaids got a nice discount on their dress because I bought my gown there - that was nice. Everything went very smoothly and I got lots of compliments on my dress.

Loved Elaine's Bridal! They have more choices readily available to see for brides, bridesmaids and all guests! I didn't give all 5 stars due to the lady who waited on us and the little stress I had when picking up my dress. Although the saleslady was the one who choose my gorgeous "off the rack" dress to suit me, her choice of hair piece didn't match and although the seamstress was wonderful and very accommodating, she didn't have my dress clean before I picked it up but swiftly corrected this. I would strongly recommend anyone looking for a dress to go to Elaine's!

I had a wonderful experience shopping for my dress at Elaine's. I went in with a $1,000 budget, and I had a lot to choose from. My only complaint is that the size that was recommended based on my measurements ended up being too small. They had to take it out, which cost me $50. Other than that, I was very satisfied!

Went twice to look at dresses - first time was a little iffy as I got little feedback from my consultant, might be nice for a girl who knows exactly what she wants, but I needed a little help. The second time was amazing. The store had no problem letting me choose a new consultant, and she helped me pick a dress that was perfect, obviously. The prices are SUPER reasonable, and no one would guess that I paid so little for my gown. A phenomenal deal for a store that has a TON of stock in all different price ranges.

Elaine's has a wide selection of beautiful wedding dresses. The dressing rooms are accommodating for large groups. The assistant was helpful if getting me in and out of the dresses I was trying on, and providing her feedback. She was very responsive to what I liked about the dresses and helped guide me toward what I was looking for.

I had a terrible experience looking for my wedding dress at David's Bridal and a below average experience at Tie the Knot. I went to Elaine's last and was pleasantly surprised. The lady that helped me was helpful. I found my dream dress at a reasonable price. They could improve their bridesmaid dress area because I didn't get any help and it was pretty cramped, but my overall experience was good.

My bridal consultant, Allison, was wonderful to work with. She helped me find the gown of my dreams. Lori, their seamstress, was wonderful to work with as well. The alterations were very expensive but I suppose that is to be expected.

This store is more on the pricey end but the do have some reasonably priced dresses. Customer service is much better than david's bridal. They have an in-house tailor who did a great job with my dress alterations.

I bought my wedding dress from Elaine's Bridal. I am very pleased with the dress it is beautiful. I've gotten so many compliments on how unique and elegant it was. I am very satisfied with the service I got from Elaine's. It was a bit pricey, but the dress was very very nice and I love it. Its sad I only wear it a couple days out of my life!

i got my dress on their clearance rack, a 900$ dress for 325!!

They kept if at the shop until the week prior to my wedding (incase my house burnt down :) and steamed and pressed it for free as well!

I bought my dress from here. They can be a little pricy, but then again my dress was a Maggie. I had a list/pictures of dresses I wanted to try on and of the 6-8 dresses they only had 1 that I wanted to try on. It happened to be theone I fell in love with online so I ignored the others. They lady that I had helping me look wasn't the greatest - seemed lazy/unorganized. The dress did get ordered correctly and the alterations lady was fabulous! Overall I loved my dress, but would have to say Elaine's could use some better workers...

I got a really good priced wedding dress at Elaine's in Green Bay but I feel the service could have been a little more respectful. I feel i got in and never had to wait long for my fittings etc but some of the workers came off rude when you asked a question. However I am happy there was a bridal shop out there with as great of options as they had and good prices.

The woman who had helped me try on dresses was not very helpful and had seemed distracted. However, the dress selection that they have at the store is wonderful! Multiple different price ranges, styles, colors, etc.

Overall this is a great place to buy a wedding dress. I was able to find a beautiful dress off the rack with a 20% discount. Customer service was exceptional, especially from the alterations department. The only reason I gave 3 stars to professionalism was because I overheard one of the staff complaining to my alterations person that they should charge me for rush alterations because my wedding was only 2 months away. This even though the alterations person had told me 2 months prior that I was fine as long as I came in 2 months before the wedding for alterations. They did not charge me a rush fee and actually had my alterations (somewhat extensive) done within 2 weeks.

I loved my dress and thought the price was great (it was $300 cheaper than what I would have got where I live). I had a mix of reviews of people interaction there...some were great some not so nice. My only real gripe was I paid $125 to get a bustle on my dress and the lady showed my mom how to do it when she was pinning it up, however nobody showed us how to do it once it was ready for me to pick up...which maybe I should have asked. But on the wedding day, nobody could figure out how to bustle it...I wasted probably 30-45 minutes with different people trying to figure it out , even 2 seamstress ladies couldn't figure it out. Still to this day I don't know if it was done incorrectly or if we were all just fools and it was something simple?? So, just make sure they show you how to bustle before you leave when you pick up your dress. Another thing, I wish I would have gotten like an inch off the bottom...the dress was way to long and the lady said it was fine with my shoes on and that I didn't need that altered. My husband and I took dancing lessons and had a choreographed dance for our first dance and I was stepping all over my dress (plus no bustle).

I have conflicting opinions on Elaine's. While I did find my dream wedding dress there and most everyone we worked with there was pleasant, there were some things I was unhappy with. It was really hard to make appointments for alterations, which I understand they are busy, but when they tell you not to make the appointment for that until a few weeks before and you are coming from out of town; it’s not easy to make appointment other than on the weekends. I was getting very concerned at one point that I wouldn’t get my alterations done because they never had times open on Saturdays so I eventually ended up taking off of work one day just so I could go take care of that. The other problem I had was with how my alterations were done. There was bunching on one side of my dress after the first set of alterations because of how the top was taken in, so the seamstress said she would fix it. I wasn't able to see my dress until the day of the wedding and I was very unhappy to see that the bunching had gotten worse and was now right in the front under my chest. While no one else probably noticed, it is still frustrating to pay all that money for the dress and alterations for it to have that kind of problem with it. I am still extremely happy with my dress and everyone we worked with was really nice, but I am a bit annoyed still when I look at pictures and see the bunching that occurred in the front of my dress that wasn't fixed. So I would recommend them, but just be aware of possible difficulties in getting alterations appointments especially if you are coming from out of town. Also, really make sure the alterations are exactly how you want them; I really wish I would have had the chance to have one more appointment so I could have seen the problem before the big day, so part of that was on me.

I was very impressed with my dress, Alfred Angelo 1136. Great quality for the price.

The service at the shop was good, but not exceptional. I didn't have any major service complaints, but was never "wow-ed" either. I dress shopped during Prom season, and the sales girls often seemed too busy to pay much attention to me. The shop was very clearly short-staffed, so I guess I can understand why wait times were long and service didn't seem very personalized. But I did buy my dress, my accessories, and my bridesmaid's dresses from them--which is a lot more than any prom-shoppers likely bought from them, so I thought I'd get better service than I did.

All of my bridesmaids were measured for their dresses and all of them came in barely fitting either way to big or way to small, zippers getting stuck, breast pads not even sewn in and when asked why they even got fitted they responded, “we take the chest size and average it with what the size of the whole dress should be.” So therefore everyone had to not only pay for their dress, measurements taken, they had to pay for alterations, because when they measure it is only for a one size fits most. We were basically told it’s our problem now because we already purchased the dresses, not very professional.

I found this dress and fell in love. The staff was wonderful in making sure the adjustments were done on time, and they complimented me in the dress constantly. They understood what I wanted when I wanted to take the zipper out and put a corset tie in the back ... they did it! It looked fabulous. I was so pleased with the friendliness in this atmosphere. It was a great place to get a wedding dress, and I would go there again anyday!

I found my dress and my bridesmaids dresses at Elaine's. My first experience trying on dresses was not great. They had several older people working and the person was ok. I went on a Saturday the first time I went. It was very busy and I felt rushed. I went back to Elaine's by myself during the week the next time that I came there it was a much better experience. It was not busy at all and I was not rushed. The lady was again older but seemed to understand style and fashion more and was very helpful when I was trying to narrow down my dresses. My family came with me later that day and I easily picked my dress from the choices I had narrowed down to, with the help of my family. My bridesmaids dresses were also easily picked. Things I would recommend for a bride going there is that they have a ton of beautiful dresses but if you want to have a better experience go there during the week. On weekend they are crazy busy especially if a high school dance is coming up because they also sell those kind of dresses there. Also make sure your bridesmaids are all able get sized and place there order. They require all of the sizes and orders to be in before they will actually order the dresses from the company. This will hold up things if you have a bridesmaid that doesn't do what she needs to do. Also do not look there to get shoes. They have a very limited number of shoes and sizes.

The only thing Elaine's didn't screw up was my dress. My bridesmaids were all fitted for their dresses and none of them fit at all. My maid of honor's dress was the complete wrong size and we had to have someone pick it up the day of our wedding and drive it 2+ hours to the Madison area. Save yourself the anxiety and go somewhere else.

I had a short engagement so I was really short for time when it came to dress shopping and I needed to make sure I could get a dress in on time. Before I even went to the store, I knew exactly what I was looking for. The first store we stopped at was Elaine's and the service was horrible. I showed the rep that was working with me a picture of what I was looking for and she told me to start looking threw the racks and start picking out what "I liked". I don't know if you have ever looked at a dress on a hanger, but you have NO IDEA what they look like!!! I am also very small so 80% of the dresses were to big and looked so huge on the hangers that I didn't even know what to try on. Finally I just started grabbing things that had lace and pretty much did my whole session by myself. The rep did help me try the dresses on, but that was all she was good for. Sadly, the dress I ended up loving was from Elaine's and I was haunted by even more horrible service! When I had originally tried on the dress, I was told I could get it in 10 weeks (which was plenty of time before my wedding). I was then called two days later and a rep left a voicemail on my phone stating that they wouldn't be able to get the dress on time, with absolutely no explanation! I showed up for my fitting that afternoon ready to explode. When I got there for my appointment (which they didn't remember about) I asked about the dress ordering situation and NO ONE knew what I was talking about. They didn't know who called me or why the couldn't order it...finally a manager came in and tried to do some damage control. Here they could still order my dress, just not in a custom length. I ended up getting the dress ordered and couldn't get it out of that damn store quick enough. Sadly they didn't have that dress at any other stores locally, or I would have been going through someone else.

I ended up buying my dress from Elaine's because I loved the dress not their service. My consultant spent more time talking about her dogs then helping me find my wedding dress. And they misordered one of my girls dresses by ordering extra length so my girl had to spend money on alterations that she didn't need if it was ordered correctly. They also only carry mother dresses at the Appleton location but failed to mention that when we called their Green Bay location. Frustrating overall.

Their dress selection was to die for! They had so many more to choose from than other local dress shops. When it came to ordering and paying for my dress there were no problems.
Once my dress was in it was a little small. I ended up having to diet and try to fit. When I was altered I asked them to take the dress out so it fit me. They only took it out a little. Once I asked for them to take it out in the places I needed it to they were hesitant stating it would take a lot of work. This is something they do for a living, and should be glad to help their customers.
In the end my dress fit, but I was not overall happy with the alterations experience.
I would recommend them as far as buying the dress, but maybe think of someone else for alterations.

Rude consultant

I had my first ever appointment looking for my wedding dress there and it was absolutely terrible. I picked out a few dresses to try on with a specific style in mind. My consultant helped me into the first one but it didn’t fit so she didn’t let me try on all of the others that I had picked out. She seemed to be more concerned with a dress that fit me rather than me liking it. I had told her at the beginning that I was looking for a specific style and when mentioned halfway through that none of these fit my vision, she said she wished I had told her sooner what I had in mind. I had brought in a corset thinking it would work better than a strapless bra since I have a large chest and I’m on the larger side. She told me that it was way too bulky and asked if it was my mothers. She then proceeds to show it to another consultant who agrees that it would be too bulky. I was quite embarrassed and enraged with the whole exchange. I should’ve left right then but I powered through the rest of the appointment growing closer and closer to frustrated tears. She was not listening to anything I said. I found a dress that was okay but not what I was looking for. She was trying to sell it to me when I obviously wasn’t in love with it. She kept telling me how well it fit me, making me feel uncomfortable about my weight because that seemed to be the only thing she was concerned about. My issue with this boutique is solely with the consultant and not the place itself. There were plenty of pretty dresses but I didn’t even get to try most of the dresses I had picked out myself. Luckily I had another appointment with a different store in the afternoon. I had a wonderful experience there and bought a gorgeous dress that was exactly what I was looking for.

Sub-par experience when shopping for bridesmaids dresses here. They were very understaffed, which lead to our appointment starting late and them keep switching who was our consultant that day (around 3 total over the course 1 shopping experience!). There was no communication between consultants, so every time a new one introduced herself we'd have to explain everything all over again. The only positive things about the experience were the wide selection of dresses to choose from, and the staff member at the front desk who helped narrow down our search options by matching item numbers with color swatch numbers. We ended up not purchasing anything from them.

My bridal consultant was not well educated on the dresses the store had to offer. Despite giving the bridal consultant my budget and exactly what I was looking for she did not produce the dress I ended up purchasing; my mother pulled it on her own after I had already tried on many dresses. It was well in my price range and EXACTLY what I had described to the consultant.

The consultant was uncomfortable with me wearing my bra and thong to try on the dress. She stated that most brides feel more comfortable wearing a slip. I think it made her more comfortable.

The store had the wrong date written in their books for my wedding.

They ordered the wrong size for one of my bridesmaids and when she called to get the new size they tried to charge her for both dresses.

They ordered the wrong length for my mother's dress.

My bridesmaids live all over the nation and they refused to mail any dresses to other vendors when they originally said they could do this.

The consultant at the front desk when I arrived for my fitting told my seamstress I was running late when she had me wait for 15 minutes while she worked on the computer.

The most positive experience I have had so far is with my seamstress. She was extremely flexible and is willing to do final touches two days before the wedding as I live out of state.

I would NOT recommend Elaine's Wedding and Event Center to anyone. While they do have a good selection of dresses and I found my dream dress, the stress that entailed with their poor service wasn't quite worth it.

I will start with the only positive from my bridesmaid dress shopping experience with Elaine's: none of the dresses were too small. Other than that, here was my experience: When my sisters tried to order their dresses the shop had to call me to get my information again, which I had already given, because they had not started a folder for my wedding party yet. My cousin/bridesmaid had to call me because she had gotten a phone call stating that she was in another bride's wedding party, because her information was put in the wrong folder. 5/6 of my bridesmaids had dresses 2 sizes too big, costing them at least $150 each for alterations (none of which were done at Elaine's). I had to call twice to ask if my dresses were coming in on time, and no one ever knew why my dresses took over 10 business days to get from the factory to the store. After various complications I could not trust Elaine's at ALL with my bridesmaids dresses and had to make at least 3 phone calls to confirm the sizes they ordered were correct and the orders were placed on time. I was very disappointed with the lack of organization. We placed the orders at the beginning of prom season so the store was very busy, but when you are in the dress business, this is all you do. Wedding parties should come first and I will strongly discourage ANYONE from stepping into Elaine's in the future!

I was expecting the experience at Elaine's to wonderful. I was extremely disappointed. We had made an appointment but when we arrived the place was packed and there was no room for us to try on dresses. We had to wait and our consultant was often no where to be found. We picked dresses and had them ordered. When they arrived they were the wrong dress which the staff promptly blamed on the bridal party. When the new dresses finally arrived three weeks before the wedding they were all the wrong size. The staff ignored us upon entering the store and were once again blaming us for the mistake. Next came the alteration process, the alterations staff was WONDERFUL! So polite and helpful and apologetic with our experience. The floor staff however provided more misinformation to the bridesmaids creating further delays in getting the dresses fitted before the wedding. These women really need to get some training in organization and customer service.

Just Awful

Absolutely awful. If I could give no stars I would. I was on the fence the first time we came in because the woman behind the counter, I'm assuming a manager, was rude and loudly complaining about other customers and employees. I was uncomfortable walking up to her to request anything; she was visibly angry and completely unprofessional. When we were there, we told them specifically that my maid of honor lived in Florida and would be getting her dress elsewhere. A happy accident led to my MOH being able to go dress shopping three months before the wedding. She was told that she could make a payment anytime the next month and the dress would arrive on time. When she returned to Florida and called in to make her payment, they informed her that the dress would not arrive in time. When she requested to speak to a manager, because that was not what was told to the BOTHof us, the manager proceeded to inform her that the other bridesmaids were responsible and came in with me months before and called her IRRESPONSIBLE three times over the phone for not coming when they did, although we specifically told them that she lived out of state. When my MOH tried to tell them what we were told in the store, she again called her irresponsible and told her that she should have understood that a payment needed to be made in the beginning of the month. She then informed my MOH that the dress would cost more than we were originally told because she was not responsible enough to make a payment in time. They were eventually able to come to a reasonable conclusion after the manager spoke with the employee that talked to us and realized that she was telling the truth. They then repeatedly requested her to come in to pick up the dress, and to get her measurements to ensure the dress fit, even though they got her measurements when we were there, because again, we explained that she lived in FLORIDA. They had no record of her measurements and told her, because she was arriving the day before the wedding, that she would just have to hope it fit. Are you freaking kidding me? You try to make my MOH pay extra for your mistakes, INSULT HER several times, and decline to listen when things are being explained to you?? I will ensure that NONE of those involved in my wedding ever return to Elaine's Bridal. This was absolutely UNACCEPTABLE. Their partner, Du Bois, on the other hand was completely accomodating, compassionate, and understanding. They bent over backwards to work with us, and even gave us a free tie rental for our tribute to the best man, who unfortunately passed away seven months before the wedding. Du Bois, perfect; Elaine's Bridal? IRRESPONSIBLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL.

The staff was rude, unacomidating, and did not seem to know what they were doing, including the owner. They messed up appointments, my order and my bill, trying to charge me another $490 on a dress I had already paid in full because "they didn't know how to read an invoice". After multiple MULTIPLE mistakes. ..none of which they apologized for, I took my dress and left to get it fitted elsewhere. I would never NEVER recommend this place to anyone!

Awful customer service!

I would leave 0 stars if I could. The employees of this store are highly unprofessional and make it seem as if everything is your fault. Do not go here, go to a different bridal shop that will make you more comfortable.

During the appointment Comments were made about my body and not being able to wear a certain gown because of how I looked. That should’ve been the end of my time at Elaine’s but I feel in love with the dress. I ordered my wedding gown from them December 6th, 2021. Today I decided to call because I have not heard a single thing from them about the status of the dress. When I called, they told me that the dress has come in on 5/6/22 and NO ONE CALLED ME!!! I live 5 hours away and wanted to get a dress from somewhere close to the venue and in my home town. That was a HUGE mistake!! That is 2 whole months of time wasted! I could’ve been getting alterations done, found my accessories and veil, shoes, etc. yet, I had to call and figure it out myself that they have been holding it in storage for TWO WHOLE MONTHS without telling me anything!! They are extremely rude on the phone as well and are not willing to do anything to help. This is unacceptable and I will be taking my business for alterations and accessories elsewhere.

Lack of customer service

Made an appointment online to look at bridal dresses at the Ashwaubenon location. When we arrived a half hour early, the lady behind the counter greeted us with no smile & said “We’re closed!” I showed her my confirmation & she said we just changed the hours even though their website doesn’t reflect the change. I was not given any notice. I asked if we could take a quick look around as there were other customers in the store & her response was no. I scheduled this appt. weeks in advance & drove 45 minutes for this.

We just had the worst experience shopping for my bridesmaids' dresses. We arrived at 11 AM, the time we set up our appointment for, and the 3 or 4 people behind the counter seemed extremely unprepared. We were told to wait for someone to help us and while waiting, another lady appeared asking if she could help us. When we told her we were waiting for someone she responded with "Yeah, me." We explained what we were looking for, which was a short dress with lace in a champagne, beige, tan or brown color, so we could decide what color we liked best. We were basically left to fend for ourselves rather than having her present us with options. When she returned with some color swatches to help me decide on a color, she continued to show me options I wasn't interested in. When I did decide on a color, not only did she proceed to show me long dresses when I was clearly looking for short ones, she couldn't tell me which short dresses would be available in the color I wanted in order for us to try any on. At one point, I even asked to see a dress she was holding in natural light as it looked more gray than brown and instead of walking over to the window mirrors with me, she handed it to me and told me to go over there. We were there less than 20 minutes and decided to pass on anything, as we had 3 other appointments, however, when we explained that we didn't think we were going to find anything, the lady told us she didn't know where else we thought we were going to find something. At this point, I'm just thankful I didn't get my wedding dress there.

My first experience with Elaine's bridal was horrendous and I was hoping it would be my last, but unfortunately it was not. My own bridesmaids were treated very poorly during their experiences, staff was not very accommodating and even rude to two of my bridesmaids that were expecting. I am also now ordering a bridesmaid dress, which I had requested a larger size, but was told that they couldn't contact the very company they order the dresses from. I was also told that customers are not made aware of a policy they have in place for changing the size of a dress! As a customer, I'm appalled that they purposely don't make this known. I have had bad experiences before and never felt the need to comment, but feel like everyone should be made aware of what they are getting themselves into when they come to Elaines!!

Irritated by Elaine's!!!!!!
I called 2 times to make sure the dress I was looking at purchasing today would be there for my appointment and was told it was noted so that dress would be pulled for me...perfect you would think. But NO!!! After a combined travel time of 5 hours & 20min between myself, maid of honor and my mother and another bridesmaid , upon arriving to Elaine's today they first couldn't find the dress, then apparently had sent the dress to their other store because "a bride had requested it". Well what were my calls to double check that it would be there then to them?!
They NEVER even actually greeted us or apologized to me for this SUPER IRRITATING inconvenience. The consultant was not very helpful at all and the appointment was basically over before it began. I tried other dresses but the selection of dresses fankly sucked in my personal opinion.
Horrible customer service and after hearing negative things about Elaine's, but giving them a try because they said they had the dress I wanted, I would NEVER ever recommend them to anyone for anything. My experience simply sucked and was a complete waste of time and gas money.

I went to look for my wedding dress at Elaine's today and I was treated with nothing but disrespect. The woman who "greeted" me at the door looked at me like an idiot for not having an appointment and said, "Well I guess you can browse the dresses and try them on." So hesitantly we looked through the awful selection of dresses they have to offer. I found three dresses to try on, I didn't love any of them but I thought I'd give it a shot. My mom, grandma, aunt, and I walked towards the dressing room where a consultant was helping a customer. As I approached she looked at me as if I was a piece of trash off the street and said, "What are doing, who's helping you?" I told her one of the consultants told me to browse the dresses and I could try them on. Her reply was, "Well did she tell you to pull the dresses off the rack? Who helped you, I'm going to go find her I guess." My mom told her not to worry about it because we are going to go somewhere else. The consultant then told us we should wait. As she walked away we put the dresses back and began to head for the door. She saw us walking toward the exit and yelled across the store, "Carroll, they're leaving!" Yes, Carroll, we're leaving and never to return again. Not only did the lose my business, but the business of my 6 bridesmaids as well. Every word that came out of this woman's mouth was dripping with disdain and disgust. Horrible staff, horrible dresses, horrible attitudes. I can't believe anyone would give them business.

I just recently went with my sister to look for wedding dresses. I got my dress at Elaine's so of course I told her we should definitely go there because I know the quality of their dresses are great as opposed to other places. When we walked in, we weren't greeted. It seemed as if everyone had other things to do and were too busy for us, even though we did have an appointement. There just seemed to be NO smiles or warmth in the entire building. I don't remember the name of the lady who was helping us out, but again she seemed very monotone. I know that to them, this is work. But they should also remember that to us (my sister) this is the BIGGEST PART OF THEIR LIFE. Every other place we went to that day we were greeted with smiles and professionalism. At Elaine's we were not greeted and honestly did not see ONE person smile the entire time we were there. There was another woman helping another lady try on dresses next to us and we saw her actually roll her eyes a few times. It seemed like someone had died that day in the bridal salon....not the type of place I want to go to pick out a bridal gown. So seriously disappointed in Elaine's and their sad employees.

We had an appointment for 6 bridesmaids at 1 and the appointment was made over a month ago. We weren't helped until we went through all the dresses and then had to wait and get sized. Didn't order anything from them.

Elaine's made us wait for trying on my dress and a bridesmaids appointment for over 30 minutes and never apologized. My bridesmaids order was unable to be placed since 2 of my girls needed their dresses with extra length, which the style I chose did not have extra length available, they told me this 3 months before my wedding even though I had picked them out 10 months in advance and they saw my tall bridesmaids. Since I live out of the state, I sent family to look at more dresses there. Elaine's was suppose to pull similar dresses for them to look at. The one I liked didn't come in extra length once again. They offered no solutions and this was 3 months before my wedding. I ended up going to a bridal store where I live and receiving better service their even though I didn't order from them. I ended up calling Elaine's almost weekly checking in on when the order was actually placed and when it shipped. This was a very stressful experience and I would not recommend Elaine's to any of my family or friends.

I have mixed feelings on my experience with Elaine's bridal. One good thing I have found is they have the most selection of "modest" style dresses in green bay and I had found my beautiful wedding dress with them. The seamstress Marie was absolutely wonderful. BUT unfortunately the rest of my experience was TERRIBLE. When I first came in with my bridesmaids they were treated like they were just in the way and how fast can we get them out of here. Then a lady went to measure one of my dear bridesmaids who just under went a stomach surgery a few days before which caused her to be swollen. told her that she was fat and she would lose weight before the wedding. My bridesmaid thought she misheard and asked "I am sorry what was that" and she said "you are fat right now". Another bridesmaid overheard to confirm this. Unfortunately it didn't stop there I had many issues with poorly being talked to dress not being ready for my appointment in time. One of the worst is while I was in for an appointment there was another beautiful bride in there selecting her once in a lifetime dress. When the bride left 4 ladies thought it would be professional to talk absolute trash about her as soon as she left. I felt so sick to my stomach. I feel that if Elaine's didn't have the selection they have they wouldn't have a business.

My daughter and I shopped for a prom dress at Elaine's in Green Bay, WI. We had been warned by 4 other families not to go there. Two of the families had purchased wedding attire there and the other 2 had gone there for prom dresses. All had bad experiences. We usually like to form our own opinions, because we realize not everyone's experiences are the same. Now I wish we hadn't wasted the time. There was absolutely no customer service at all. There were 2 employees of the shop, high school age girls, standing by the prom racks. They spent all their time talking to their friends who had come in to shop. They discussed who had been in to try on which dresses, critiqued how they thought the girls would look in the dresses and how much the girls who shopped there had spent. When I approached an older women at the front desk to ask her to look up a gown we had seen on their website, but couldn't find in the store, she acted very put out about helping us. Needless to say we did not purchase a gown there, nor will I return there when my daughters are ready to purchase wedding gowns. My recommendation is, if you want customer service, go to another shop. If you want to claw through dress racks like you're at a KMART, go to Elaine's.

VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! I am completely sick to my stomach by the service I received by Elaine's Bridal in Green Bay. We bought very pricey junior bridesmaids dresses from them in February in which they guaranteed me that the dresses would get in on time and have plenty of time for alterations. As soon as we were informed that the dresses were in, I called to set up a fitting. They couldn't get us in for at least three weeks even with an offer to take PTO from work and take the girls out of school during the day for a fitting! Then, three weeks later ( 3days before the fitting was to take place), they informed me they couldn't guarantee that they could get any alterations done before the wedding that was a month away!! I tried talking with them to come up with solutions and the lady at the front counter was very rude. The owner/manager only gave me a name of a seamstress who used to work there but couldn't guarantee any positive results. Ugh!

I found my dress and was quoted a rate but since it was the first one I wanted to look a little more. I went to another store and they also had that dress so I called Elaines to make sure what the price would be and I was told that they couldn't sell me the dress at the price they quoted me because they would be losing money which I think is a joke because I bought my dress from the store I was at for even less than Elaines quoted me plus I didn't have to pay sales tax because I was in Minnesota and they shipped it to me for free so that I wouldn't have to drive back!! I would never tell anyone to go to Elaines because they do not stand by their word and even with an appointment they are rude.

I went to Elaine's with some family members to look for my wedding dress. We were greeted when we walked in, but it was not in a friendly or professional way which really set the tone for the rest of the appointment. Once upstairs, the woman helping us seemed annoyed that we didn't know our way around the different areas of the store. We finally figured out where we were suppose to be and she disappeared for at lease 15 minutes, so what did we do...? We found lots of awesome dresses! She finally returned and became irritable that we had picked a few dresses each. I tried on a few dresses and did like them but I did not feel excitement or enthusiasm from the woman helping me. Even after finding a few I liked I would have tried a few more on but felt rushed out and that she didn't want to help us anymore so we left. Even if I had found "the dress" here I would not have bought it and recommend anyone who wants to have a fun, relaxing, and memorable time finding your wedding dress not to go to Elaine's.
