Absolutely phenomenal!

I had my wedding and reception at El Tango and had two completely different decorations for each of the events in one day. They had to tear down the entire venue and redo it in less than a few hours and THEY DID IT! Diane and Perla payed very close attention to every detail that I wanted. It was very easy to work with them and they worked with me in everything I needed! I would definitely recommend this venue! I loved that I didn’t have to deal with so many vendors because Diane does it all. You get the venue along with all your decorations and she has so many contacts and will help you find any vendors that you are looking for. Amazing job to Diane, Perla, and the entire El Tango team!!

Beautiful Hall!

This hall was amazing!! It was pricey but definitely worth it!! I would recommend this hall to anyone and everyone! Perla was amazing and so helpful!! Loved loved loved the hall!!

Gorgeous Ceremony & Reception

El Tango Reception Hall was a beautiful venue! That staff was extremely helpful and well worth the price. The hall doesn’t require much additional decorating depending on the package selected. Some things are additional costs so be sure to ask a lot of questions. I would choose this venue all over again for our wedding. Perla was so sweet and helpful. We had our ceremony and reception there and it was a dream come true! They don’t have a vendor list so you’re able to have whatever food catered that you’d like - unlike other venues. This venue comfortably seats 300 inside and a ceremony option outside for less guests. I definitely recommend this venue. We received so many compliments about how gorgeous our wedding was. The staff was very organized and professional. The bartenders were excellent. They offered great ideas and Perla was super helpful with planning ideas. I will miss working with her and the El Tango Team.

Everything about El Tango is perfect

We couldn't have picked a better location for our wedding. Everything was beautiful, and the staff is amazing. I highly recomend this hall.

Great experience

I was very satisfied with my experience. My Daughters Quinceañera was a total success! From the beginning Perla was extremely helpful and always made time to answer all my questions. She took some of the stress out of my shoulder. All my guests were very impressed with the decorations and the service. The price was worth it. I would definitely recommend this Hall to my friends and family and use it again in the future.

El Tango was the perfect choice for our wedding reception. The entire venue is beautiful inside and out; so beautiful that we were even able to take our pictures there! Perla and the staff were great to work with from start to finish. We were so lucky to be one of the first to have the flower wall as the backdrop for our sweetheart table because it went with our theme and color scheme so well, and the chandelier lighting was even more perfect. We could not have been more happy with our experience! I would definitely recommend this venue!

The entire team at El Tango were amazing! Perla and Diane were very accommodating to all our wants and needs. From their service to the beautiful hall, everything exceeded our expectations. El tango reception hall is the nicest one in Bakersfield. I went to every reception hall in Kern county and they all felt like they lacked something. As soon as I stepped into el tango reception hall I fell in love. It's soo beautiful and elegant and very updated. The staff is the best especially Perla she was always there to answer every question you had. It's such a large hall it can fit many guests very comfortably. Everyone at my wedding commented how elegant the hall looked..

I had my sangeet/jaggo (pre-wedding event) at El Tango for my Indian wedding and I am beyond happy with the venue and the staff for everything they did to go out of their way to make sure everything was perfect! I wanted the stage setup to be more traditional and required draping that El Tango hadn't experimented with before. But they more than delivered. I was floored when I saw the results and am sure future clients will be happy they don't have to contract other vendors for their jaggo/sangeet stage decor needs. They went above and beyond with any questions that I or my family members had and everything was ready to go the day of the event. I highly recommend this place!

El Tango Reception Hall is a VERY elegant and beautiful place for a wedding or any special event. Beautiful chandeliers and perfect up lighting options. I had my wedding reception here and my guests compliment how beautiful the is venue inside and outside. There's a beautiful garden for pictures. Perla was so helpful and was there for me from the being to the day of our event. I was expecting to have 230 to 280 guests and this venue is able to have this many people and more without feeling tight in the seating and still having plenty of room for dancing. There's a large bride room that has a side exit, large hall room for setting up a photo booth and large kitchen and good size bar area. And their bartender, Victor was also so helpful beside helping us on our drinks to serve he and his crew made sure everything was going smooth. We had such a memorable, smooth running and beautiful day. I highly recommend this venu

We have had our Company's Christmas parties for the last several years at El Tango Reception Hall. We love this beautiful venue and would highly recommend it to anyone! The staff is very polite, professional and accommodating. The hall itself is very pretty and an ideal setting for a beautiful wedding/reception and/or any type of party.

El Tango Reception Hall was the best decision we could have made for our wedding. This is a beautiful hall with chandeliers, a nice bar and kitchen setup, and a stage for the bride and the groom! The backdrop we had for our sweetheart table was gorgeous! Not to mention, the outside garden area was perfect for photos. My husband and I were very pleased with how everything came together. This was the only venue my husband and I did not have any complaints about when we were searching for venues. Staff at El Tango were very accommodating and very responsive to any questions we had throughout the planning process. This hall definitely made our dream wedding a reality.

Hey there, Me and my sister had a double wedding at this hall on July 17th, 2016 and we both loved everything about it. My wedding was held 7/18/15 and it was wonderful! I wanted a location that was beautiful on the outside as well as the inside and this place was it. Was alittle concerned with the reviews from Yelp but I had no issues at all. The girls were always very friendly and and helpful. I was always able to come in(with notice) to see the space to get ideas. Restroom was always a concern when looking for a venue and this place had an amazing restroom, lots of stalls, mirrors, counter space. I didn't have to do much to make this place look great it already is.

The hall is absolutely beautiful. We were able to work with Diane for a little more than a year an a half. She was very accommodating in meet with us and answering any questions we had. Her team was involved in getting back to us in time with information.

We were very pleased with the outcome of the decor. She had special ordered chairs for us that made our wedding reception even more beautiful. They did a fabulous job with our flower arrangements.

Our event was a success thanks in great part to the beautiful reception hall. The place is kept up so well and very clean. Diane and Perla were exceptional! Very professional and helpful! El Tango reception hall was the best decision I made. They are very professional and will work with you. The is place is not only big but elegant. You get what you pay for. They keep everything under control since the time you book them until after the wedding. I could keep going on and on but I won't finish anytime soon. When my husband and I were looking for a venue that would accommodate 400 people comfortable without compromising elegance and service, El Tango Reception Hall was perfect!! I used the bridal suit to get ready and hired four make-up artists and hairdressers to do hair and makeup for the individuals in our wedding party. The staff at El Tango were quick to accommodate the hair dressers and catered to our needs before the ceremony. It was definitely worth our money. From day one, Diane and the rest of the staff were very accommodating and professional. We HIGHLY recommend this venue to all our friends and family.

El Tango hall has been referred to by my friends / family as "Bakersfield's hidden gem". El Tango is absolutely amazing. The hall is huge and the materials that were used to build it are of excellent quality. The fine attention to detail that the builders used are absolutely perfect. The staff at El Tango are incredible. They are very helpful and will accommodate you how ever you would like your event setup. Both myself and my wife could not be happier with the professional quality of their service. This truly is a hidden gem in Bakersfield. I am so excited that my 195 guests got to see El Tango. All of them were blown away with the beauty of this place. I will be recommending El Tango to everyone that I know for their events. I am proud to have been married at El Tango.

Our names are Fernando and Veronica Cano, El Tango was such a great help with everything we needed. Their communication skills and what we needed and when we needed it was always provided and informed in a timely manner. They are very flexible with prices with everything they offer. During our day of our event we had such a great day, we didn't worry about anything that day. My wife and I enjoyed every bit of our ceremony, if there was anything wrong at the time at the party they always addressed us and took care of everything that instant. We are extremely pleased and satisfied with El Tango, we appreciate everything and would recommend to many people, and already have to many during the time of the event and are looking forward to doing so and continue recommending them.

The hall was gorgeous and just how I had imagined it would be. The colors were exactly right and it looked magical. The staff was kind and helpful and I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a wonderful evening. I've been getting tons of compliments from my family and friends on how beautiful and well orchestrated the evening was. I believe that was due to the planning and help from Diane, she was great to work with.

We used this venue and were very pleased with the staff at Tango Reception Hall. They were very responsive to every one of our requests and were quick to help us in any way they could. The professionalism that they exhibited leading up to the event was great and the way they handled the event itself was great. All staff including security were friendly and very well prepared. The venue itself is well worth the price and it is no surprise that this hall is the the best one in Bakersfield. We added on some last minute requests the day of the event and the staff was more than accommodating. Our guests all commented on how beautiful the hall was and how nice it was. When planning your event this needs to be the hall you choose. Personally I am glad we decided on this venue. In the future I would without a doubt use El tango Reception hall again. Thank you for everything.

Ruben did a good job providing everything we needed he was there at all time in case we needed something great job. The hall is real nice probably the best in Bakersfield. well worth every penny will rent it again as soon as I needed.

El Tango Reception Hall is by far one of the most beautiful, elegant and glamourous venues here in Bakersfield!!! We hosted our daughters Quinceanera on October 26, 2013. We were very pleased with the Staff and how the entire venue turned out! They also have the outside beautifully landscaped, which was perfect for our photos to be taken. We were so thrilled that we picked the most perfect venue for our daughters special day and would recommend or host another event here at El Tango Reception Hall!!!

Without a doubt, one of the, if not the BEST, reception hall for a unforgettable event! We hosted our daughter's Quinceanera on August 31st, 2013 here at El Tango and it was a venue to remember. "Breathtaking" "Glamorous" "WOW" "Beautiful" and "Beyond all Expectations" were some of the words used by our guest to describe the entire venue. We applaud the entire El Tango staff for their hospitality and their outstanding services. We are looking forward to working with them to host another event soon.

Well first off our wedding was amazing and El Tango made it happen .El Tango is truely a place to have your dream wedding they not only provide awsome servies they work with you and give ideas and also in take your ideas and make it happen !!! On May 23, 2015, we had our wedding reception at El Tango Reception Hall and we could not be happier with the outcome there. When we began the mission of finding the perfect venue we knew it would be tough to find the right venue with the few options we have in Bakersfield for a guest count of 200+. We wanted the elegance of a county club combined with the reasonable price of traditional reception hall. After looking at numerous venues we returned to El Tango and knew this would be the perfect venue. If the following items are important for your big day, you can find them at El Tango: venue that can accommodate a big guest count, plenty of parking space, beautiful small garden, bridal room, spacious kitchen and bar area, clean bathrooms, big lobby area and friendly staff. Additionally, they have some great vendors available to help you. Their bartender and security staff are so helpful and friendly. Continuing with their staff, I had an opportunity to work with Diane and Perla and I could not be happier with their customer service. Every question and email had a prompt response and their mission was always to ensure the bride and groom were happy. So thankful they took great care of us. We are very happy that all of our guests left amazed with the elegance of the hall. I still keep getting compliments about the venue! The venue is certainly on the pricey side (although various packages are available to fit your budget and needs) but in exchange you are guaranteed a venue that is elegant and very well taken care of.
Everyone keeps saying that this venue is a hidden gem in Kern County and I would agree so!

Best venue in Bakersfield hands down. Beautiful inside and out. We had our wedding there in June it was just perfect, we loved it and our guests loved it as well, simply elegant. It was a pleasure working with Diane, she's extremely friendly, helpful and professional. I highly recommend this venue!

El Tango Hall was really professional and flexible. It also offers a variety of services to help with the event that you are having. I think this hall is the best hall in the Bakersfield area because it is really nice, big, and elegant.

El Tango reception hall was a the right choice for our Quinceañera (15th Birthday Party) . Our event was successful and enjoyable thanks to the responsiveness and professionalism of the staff. In addition to a beautiful location and venue, our event had attentive staff whose hard work ensured that our experience was a pleasurable one. I truly appreciated the attention and services of the staff along with their thoughtfulness and friendliness. I will gladly recommend the reception hall to friends and colleagues.

The staff was very professional and attentive. They made our wedding event stress free, as they were flexible and had everything ready the day of the event. The staff was courteous and made everything in their power to accommodate our needs. We had a great experience and would highly recommend this vendor for your future special event. The hall is gorgeous! It's huge and can hold 500 guests! The nicest hall in town. Expensive, but worth it for your special day :)

We celebrated our daughter's Quinceanera at this hall and it was an amazing, memorable event for us, our daughter, family and friends. It is a beautiful hall with beautiful garden for pictures. The staff was very nice, helpful and professional. They helped us throughout our planning with ideas and options. Wonderful people to work with. Our guests were very happy to be part of our celebration and were very amazed with the beautiful hall and set up. We highly recommend this hall for any event. Thank you!!!!!

Very nice and clean party hall. Perla was very professional and helpful. Making appointments may be challenging for those who work a 9-5 schedules.

There are soo many BAD comments and feedback on El Tango Reception Hall which makes it really hard to pick a place. The hall is a beautiful facility inside and out, I had booked the hall about a year in a half prior to my event, I had two incidents with them one with payments and another with my event entirely. My understanding with the payments is as long as the event is paid for in full 3mnths prior your fine. They would call on a daily basis regarding the payment which was a bit annoying espacially when Im at work. Then 6wks prior to my event they wanted to cancel it, over a letter my mother had written to them about HER concerns on bad reviews she had read online (which the contract was between me, my in-laws and them NOT MY MOTHER). We stat down went over the contract once more to see if WE had any concerns and they went over some of the reviews my mother found online. There where things on some reviews that were completely false and others that where over exaggerated, they cleared some of those reviews. Once everything was squared over, my event went very smooth everything from the security staff to the personnel in charge and the cleaning crew that night they made sure we had everything we needed or if we need anythings ,they were polite to my guest. I have no major bad new or reviews for them. Overall I had an amazing time at my wedding .

Recently had my wedding reception at El Tango. Beautiful venue in southwest Bakersfield. Very happy with the service we received. Their staff coordinates with food/florists/DJ which is very helpful. Would recommend to friends.

The reception hall is absolutely beautiful! We received nothing but compliments about how elegant our reception looked. It was more than able to accommodate our 9 person band plus a DJ and there was still plenty of dancing room. My husband and I will be forever grateful to Diane and the other staff for providing us with such a gorgeous venue for our special day.

The most beautiful hall in Bakersfield. Doesn't require membership. They can set up your tables an break them down, including decorations, linens, and tableware. Personal parking for guests. Have nice lighting an outside landscape.

El tango does not disappoint when it comes to it's beauty and service. The compliments are endless when it came to the venue we had for our wedding! I would recommend el tango for a bride that wants a venue that can make her dreams come true.

El Tango hosted our company Christmas party last night and they did an amazing job! From the start, they were helpful and responsive to our requests. We started planning late but the El Tango staff helped us with everything. A big thank you to Perla for being our go-to-gal!! The venue itself is gorgeous--it's rare that a facility looks as good in person as it does in pictures :-) Overall, we highly recommend El Tango and would be happy to give a detailed recommendation in person.

The hall is beautiful, the best in town. It is expensive, so you really do get what you pay for. One thing i will complain is that the people who show up after the party are very rude. We had to clear the premises by 1am. They were not nice about it. Of course, by then they already have their money so our business does not matter. They will sell you a beautiful hall, but everything has a high price. Bar tender forgot to put margaritas on our menu, so we ended up wasting 3 gallons of margaritas. Other than that i recommend this place. Just be ready to spend money.

Had a huge birthday party here for my twin brothers and it was a good turnout. I still think we selected the nicest looking hall great garden area and my favorite thing was all the chandeliers in the hall. Had a fun time, they set up the tables nice and neat just like they said they would, only thing I'd say maybe they are a little too pushy when it comes time to the actual party as far as rules and that kind of stuff but overall it was a great place for the party.

We had our wedding reception their... Hands down the hall is a beautiful place. It was close to our house, alots of parking space. Other thing I would like to add is that if you want to party after midnight pay the extra charges. Good thing is that they let you bring your own alcohol and your own catering.. Overall nice place.

We booked this hall for our wedding because it's a beautiful hall. Prior to the event everything seemed to go smooth with the staff from the hall. It wasn't until the end of the event that I experienced why everyone had told me to be careful with this place regarding them trying to tack on fees and charges towards my deposit that would make no sense.

When I first did the walk-thru of the hall the day before our event I asked several questions as to what would cause any fees/charges against my deposit and they made it seem as if only if something was broken would they charge me anything.

After doing the walk-thru after the event was over they had a long list of things that I was going to potentially be charged for including:

- Scuffs on the wall (they rubbed off with your hand- no damage to the paint)

- Stains on the table linen (of course there's going to be stains from the food & drinks. They never mentioned they would charge for this). Are you kidding me!!!

- Everyone was out of the hall <1 hour after the event ended as indicated in the contract, but we went to their office because I was questioning some of the items on their list of things they were going to charge for which took us 13 minutes to discuss. They ended up charging us for the 13 minutes ($5 per minute) that we spent in their office asking questions and 1 extra hour of security ($100) because of the 13 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous that we were charged for asking questions!!!

This place operates in the most non-customer oriented fashion. They could care less of what the right thing to do is or not. I had heard several bad experiences about this hall from multiple people, yet I decided to give them a try and they sure lived up to their reputation of creating a bad experience. They show no sign of empathy to their clients and talk to you with a "you don't have to rent this place if you don't want to" attitude.
