    The lady who owns the place is so sweet and kind. The place has a beautiful foyer where you can either take pictures or place your buffet style meal. There is gorgeous white draping on thew ceiling with lights inside of it. There will soon be a chandelier draping from the center of the draping. There are plenty of layouts that she can arrange for your guest to be seated comfortably. She provides decorations as well at a reasonable price.

    I had a very nice time at the event center. The short lady that work during the weekday is very nice. The owner has all the answers and was able to give me a discount in my pricing. All you had to do is ask. Staff is wonderful and they were able to do my linen at a lower charge then my event planner.

    The lady that owns the venue is nice. The price they charge for you to only have is 5 hours of rental. 1 hr to setup and 1 hr to break down. They don't have a kitchen. They don't have a ice machine, you have to go to the 7 eleven or the nearest store to get ice. Bring a cooler because they'll give you a trash bag for ice. If you want water you will have to go to the bathroom to get water from the sink. If you want more time it's a extra $125. I think the venue is a nice venue. But what they offer is not acceptable. The bathroom didn't have no hand soap at all. I miss the former owners, their rental price was way reasonable and they had way more to offer.

    Terrible service

    If I could rate this venue a Zero, I surely would. I booked a vow renewal ceremony and reception with this venue, EJM Event Center and it was absolutely the worst experience ever! The owners, Mr. and Mrs. Makeeda, have the worst attitude and they have made this such a nightmare to book my sister's vow renewal. Firstly, They sent a contract with a typo in it and expected us to follow certain terms that were not included in the contract. We were under the impression that indoor sparklers and candles would be permitted at the venue since the contract we actually signed specified that they were included. Once I reached back out to confirm all of the details of the day, I was then told that the indoor sparklers were not permitted according to the contract that we signed. Their excuse was the contract had a typo in it. Makeeda's husband proceeded to yell at us that we cannot have sparklers nor candles and that they have the right to cancel our contract at anytime.

    We had to literally beg for approval floating candles which was our entire inspiration.

    We also booked a premium open bar for a 6 hour event but the owners failed to relay the information that the open bar would only be covering 2.5 hours. This information also was not detailed in the signed contract. So we had to add an extra hour for an additional $300. Our guests were served their alcoholic beverages in a small sized plastic cup (similar to the mouthwash size cup) even after asking them to provide rocks glasses for the drinks. None of our decor included plastic anything so this was unexpected. The bar service was terrible and our guests were refused alcoholic beverages as well as orange juice, ginger ale and cranberry juice for the children and those who don't drink alcohol. When I went to speak with Makeeda about the multiple issues with the bar, she expressed that juice and soda is not provided in their open bar only alcoholic beverages even though they had juice and soda behind the bar to be able to provide to the guests.

    They even posted our pictures from our event and refused to take them down. Every time I would speak with her about our event she never had our signed contract in front of her to discuss the right details. When I made payments, she would ask me how much we owe instead of telling me our balance to double check the records. After making our payment in full and on time, the owner calls me the next day accusing us of owing more money for chairs. I had to reiterate that our payment was made in full. I've never done business with a company like this who is so disorganized, and have such concerning lack of communication.

    At the end of the day, this was never our first choice to host this event anyway and we received the worst service of a lifetime.

    We followed all of the guidelines they set forth within the contract, however they did not uphold their end. They are the worst!!!! They are rude and liars. They add extra costs along the way.

    I would never book or promote another event or recommend anyone book this venue due to their lack of professionalism.
