Working with Edward Dye was an incredible experience from start to finish. He was patient, thoughtful, and has a great eye, capturing beautiful, natural shots that we will treasure forever. What really stood out is that it never felt transactional, he genuinely invested in getting to know us and our vision.
From the moment we first reached out as prospective clients through the entire process, Edward was extremely communicative with fast response times, which made everything feel smooth and stress-free. He was also consistently punctual and reliable, always on time for every meeting and event, and just as dependable when it came to delivering our previews and final photos right when he said he would.
We also worked with him for our engagement shoot, which was a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera and get to know his style. Those photos ended up being so meaningful, we used them for our save the dates and later for our wedding guest book.
On the wedding day itself, Edward brought a calm, steady presence while still giving clear direction to make sure we got the best possible shots. We both have large families, and he handled group photos effortlessly, organizing people quickly, posing everyone thoughtfully, and making sure no one was hidden or overlooked.
One thing we especially appreciated was being able to consult with him on our wedding timeline ahead of time. His advice, based on years of experience and hundreds of weddings, was incredibly helpful in shaping the flow of our day.
There was even a moment where we ran out of time for bridal party photos during the formal picture window, but Edward remembered and pulled us aside during a quieter part of the reception to make sure we got every shot we wanted. We truly would not have those memories without him.
We chose the two photographer package and highly recommend it, it ensured that no moment from the day was missed.
Overall, we could not be happier with our experience and feel so lucky to have worked with Edward. -

Edward Dye was incredible! He arrived early fully prepared and made us feel confident. Our photos would be safe and backed up no matter what for our central Park wedding pictures. Hiring Edward was hands down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We first worked with them for our engagement session, and from the moment we met, we knew we were in good hands. He made us feel comfortable, guided us with posing without ever making anything feel forced, and turned the photos into looking like we belonged in a magazine.
The engagement photos came out beautifully, soft, romantic, and full of personality, just like how we wanted them to symbolize, and gave us so much excitement for what was to come on our wedding day. He was attentive in all the emailing and planning, including helping us with timeline details to keep us on time and organized. Fast forward to the wedding, and Edward blew us away again. He caught every important moment from my first look with my dad to my husband crying while I was walking down the aisle and emotional vows to the smallest, quiet in-between moments we didn’t even realize were happening.
What stood out most was his attention to detail and ability to capture genuine emotion. Every photo feels like a memory frozen in time, not just a posed shot. Our friends and family can’t stop raving about the photos, and neither can we. We’re beyond grateful to have these memories preserved so beautifully.

We are blown away by Edward's aesthetic sense, composition, and professionalism. Our wedding celebration took place during the coldest, rainiest day in the spring. We were worried that with the rain, the photos will turn out poorly, but they exceeded our expectations. We appreciate very much that Edward braved the rain and cold to make them happen. Edward was our photographer for our wedding on 11/1/24 and he did an amazing job! I’ve gotten so many compliments from others about how great the pictures turned out. Edward was kind, thorough, had a great eye, and gave us plenty of direction. He made us look beautiful and feel comfortable, and hyped me up during my solo shots. Edward did his research on the location where we were taking photos and knew exactly where to go for the best shots. I tried to skip one spot due to timing and Edward (kindly) insisted we go. Of course he was right and those are some of my absolute favorite photos from the day. Edward stayed with us from getting ready all the way to the end of the reception. Prior to the wedding, Edward took the time to do a video consultation with us to discuss his services. He was very straightforward and open about everything, and provided a document that detailed exactly was included in each of his packages. Once we booked, he was very responsive to emails in the months leading up to the wedding. Overall, working with Edward was a pleasure and his work is impeccable. I would recommend him to anyone planning a wedding. -

Hiring Edward was one of the best choices I made for my wedding. I had initially wanted to just ask an amateur photographer friend to take photos for us in order to save money, but friends and family strongly advised me to put money in the right places and hire a professional, and boy were they right, the quality of Edward’s photos and his services at the wedding is PRICELESS. The photos looked so incredible that they probably looked more beautiful than in real life.
I must credit the entirety of the success for my dream wedding to Edward. On our very first phone call he asked for details about our wedding like where it was taking place, which I hadn’t settled on yet, and he gave me a list of his favorite venues and a bunch of other advice on wedding planning, including timeline for photo shooting, all of which came very handy.
I had originally worried that we wouldn’t know how to pose for the photos or pick the spots, but Edward had all of that covered, he had an exceptional eye for how to capture the best shots including the first look, and gave us easy to follow, detailed instructions on how to pose for the photos. On the morning of the wedding things were hectic and running late as it apparently always does on wedding mornings, and I felt so bad to keep the photographer waiting because I wasn’t ready in time, but Edward was so nice and understanding, using the extra time to pick out optimal locations for the photos. There were times where I wanted to skip some extra photos to follow my schedule, but Edward politely pushed for his shots, and I’m really glad that he did, because he captured precious candid moments from the day like me getting ready with my mother and private moments with my husband at the grand entrance of the venue after the ceremony. The end result was that the entire wedding day was captured from beginning to end, in all of the best spots possible.
Edward stayed with us all the way until the reception was over, and cheerfully agreed at our request to take a few more photos outside with the night view in our new attire, then came back in to take photos of our wedding bands, staying until we ran out of photos to take.
The next day, he sent us a few edited photos as a sneak leak of what’s to come. I had no idea before that on top of the photo taking service, he also edits them to perfection! I don’t really know how other photographer vendors operate out there, but I’m confident that Edward gave me way more than my money’s worth. Would definitely give him all the stars possible and recommend him to all of my friends.

The best wedding photographer you can get
When we first saw Ed Dye's portfolio, we knew we had to book him! Ed is truly gifted at capturing all of the right moments with the right framing and light. On the day of, we felt like we were in the right hands and had no worries about whether or not he would be able to capture the essence and joy of the day.
When we received our full photo album, they were absolutely BEAUTIFUL and it was so fun to relive through so many amazing moments on our wedding day.
On the interpersonal side, Ed is extremely responsive and professional, and knows exactly what the typical timelines/expectations are for a wedding. He is a seasoned professional! You should book him!

My husband and I were both drawn to Edward when we saw his photos. We felt inspired by his portfolio, which demonstrated impeccable attention to detail and thoughtful framing. We had an initial Zoom conversation with him and were absolutely blown away -- he was interested in getting to know us as a couple, and to share his point of view as a photographer. We spoke to a few other photographers, but Edward was our favorite and the clear choice.
Our experience proved that -- Edward joined us over two days, at two different locations (a garden estate for an intimate ceremony with family and a brewery for a friends & family reception). He was timely and respectful, providing great direction for my husband and I -- and he captured the most amazing moments that, even if they were a little scripted, looked and felt so natural. He really captured our love for each other on film! We are so grateful that Edward gave us an album of photos from which we (and our loved ones) can hardly pick our favorites. We recently had the pleasure of having Ed as our wedding photographer. We had our ceremony at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City. We found Edward Dye through a friend on Facebook. She posted a picture from her wedding online and we were so impressed by the nighttime shot. We interviewed a few different photographers and ultimately went with Edward because of his portfolio of work and the value of the packages that he offered. The biggest selling points were the flexibility Edward offered around timing and his clear drive to ensure that our wedding photos captured the day without interfering with our enjoyment of the day.

Edward is a humorous guy with abundant experience. He’s really patient and tried his best to make photo PERFECT. He’s very easygoing and told us jokes to cheered me and my husband up, so that we laughed happily and naturally in every photo. As for professional aspects, he has very high level skills that I can honestly say, I’m satisfied with all finalized photos. As for working attitude, he’s really patient and responsible. He even lied on the ground and waited for a while, just to get the correct light (and the result is gorgeous). Even though we have been shooting for hours, he kept asking if we were tired, without complaining anything. He’s also very flexible. We planned to film sunset, however, the traffic delayed our schedule and we might not be able to catch the sunset. Therefore, he provided several different options to make up as much as possible. Anyway, highly recommend this guy! -

First of all, this gentleman was so easy to work with that we almost forgot that we were hiring him and not just inviting him to our wedding haha.
He helped us every step of the way, from planning stages to the actual event, and made us feel comfortable and in good hands while remaining professional and taking great photos. We also had quite a few last minute changes and unusual requests, but he never batted an eye; he just went with it and made it work flawlessly.

Our experience with Edward was incredible, right from the beginning. Planning a wedding is overwhelming for anyone, and when I had my first inquiry call with Edward he made the process as smooth as possible. He's very experienced, having photographed over 500 weddings - and was even able to help give a few planning tips! We had a micro wedding and wanted to keep things simple. Without Edward's advice, we almost didn't have a first dance - which would have been a huge shame.
Edward's photos speak for themselves...if you're looking for someone who has a real artistic eye and knows how to capture the most fleeting but important moments, I HIGHLY recommend you work with Edward. The wedding passed so quickly for us, and being able to relive the moments through beautiful photos is priceless. -

So my wife and I had less than 10 months to plan a wedding of about 440 guests and since it was so many people, we knew we would need the best photographer to capture all the moments that would fly right by us. We researched wedding wire, the knot, fearless photographers, etc for months. Little did we know, we came across Edward on Instagram and fell in love at first sight. Not only could we tell that his eye for photography is unique, but the way he processes the photos is much different than your usual washed up, dull looking photos. Communication with Edward was seamless and he worked out a great package to meet our budget. I have had friends who paid twice as much and were not satisfied with their photos. We just received our photos and Edward and his team captured WAY more photos than we anticipated and we loved that they did! They captured every single moment we missed, funny and memorable. Edward Dye is the best! We wanted our wedding to be shot in photojournalistic style and Edward really wowed us with the results! He was able to capture our emotions that day with the best backdrops around my venue. Every time I look at my photos I feel like I am reliving the moments. Oh, I also got tons of compliments on them too. Not to mention that Edward was on time, responsible, and professional. Outstanding Wedding Photographer

We had first found Edward through a friend who hired him for their engagement and wedding photos. We were so impressed with how their pictures came out, we knew instantly we wanted to work with him. We met with him firs to go through a portfolio of different weddings he had done, asked some questions, and shortly after hired him for our wedding. We would have hired him for our engagement shoot, too but we had a family member do our engagement shoot. We could not have been happier with the results of the photos. They came out stunning. Not only was the quality incredibly impressive, but Edward and his assistant didn't miss a moment. He captured every part of our special day, and we could not be more grateful. We happened to have an unexpectedly great sunset that night, and he made sure to pull us aside to take sunset photos, which came out STUNNING. Booking with Edward was the best choice we made for our wedding and his work is amazing! I can not commend him enough for all he has done he went above and beyond on our big day! When our big day came he and his 2nd photographer were so much fun to have around and so helpful! He did more then what was expected of on our big day! Incredible
Edward Dye was an obvious choice from the beginning.
My now husband and I had a thorough research process for our photographer as we had a very specific style in mind. We both have been to our fair share of weddings whereby the photographer gets into the couples' face to capture 'the moment' or interrupts conversations, and we have also seen pictures where the moments don't seem authentic. Therefore we were looking for someone who can capture those organic moments behind the scenes and has an eye for the right settings without having to edit them too much.
After coming across Edward's portfolio, we were blown away. We also loved his "client first" approach and wasn't trying to impose his style on us, but rather try to understand exactly what we wanted.

We absolutely love our photos! We happened upon Edward via a coworker recommendation, and now we see why he was recommended. Our wedding went by so fast, like a blur!
